Is anyone else getting the feeling the Titans... killed Jericho as revenge for what he did to Garth?

[up] God that would be dark as fuck if turned out true. But no. I think they are using Jericho to investigate on Deathstroke’s whereabouts, which accidently led to his death.

[up] Yeah. But look on the bright side: at least he had sex with Donna.

Also, is it me or does the recent episode, Deathstroke, took a lot of Nolan inspirations in regards to its final scene.

Yeah. But look on the bright side: at least he had sex with Donna.

Hmm, so did Terry Long, Roy Harper and Kyle Rayner. All three died. Granted Kyle's death was temporary and Roy will probably be back but still. I feel there is a pattern here.

Donna had Sex with herself D:

I like that the show has finally taken its stick out of its ass that dominated the last season

though Dawn is really starting to annoy me with her "Do as I say not as I do" wishy washy whatever the episode requires my morality to be

inb4 But Brah.... Minka Kelly's hawt.

Which none of my criticisms are about nor revolve around Minka's aesthetic appeal

I think the show is aware on some level Dawn is kind of supposed to be a hypocrite. Doesn't mean she didn't have a point somewhat about Dick not telling Rachel, Gar or Jason about Deathstroke.

Interesting deconstruction of the Token Good Teammate trope with Eve Watson.

That image of Krypto catching an RPG may just end up being one of the most popular images from this show.

Very good episode... but it is another bloody pilot! The entire Titans series is about 50 % pilot episodes for shows that.. do not exist, as of yet.

Saw the recent episode today, and I did NOT expect Bruce to appear as hallucinations for Dick ala Birdman. Yeah, really enjoyed this episode.

The Conner episode was fantastic. And we see why people like to live in Metropolis: It's actually bright and sunny there!

I am interested in watching this, but I wonder if this show is worth a watch. I've heard that it had a rocky start in S01. Also, has it improved in S02?

Is it still grimdark and murdery, or are they actually acting like heroes this time around?

Define "acting like heroes". I mean, I don't see that much difference between what these guys were doing in season 1 and what is pretty common in the MCU movies save for less quipping and triumphant music when they kill someone.

[up]The heroes in the MCU aren't maiming common crooks or cutting people's dicks off with clippers. And they at least remember to be fun. Titans S1 was the emo kid singing 'CRAWLING IN MY SKIN' in the corner.

The heroes in the MCU aren't maiming common crooks

Does it not count when it's done to enemies that don't look human.

And they at least remember to be fun

Characters can be "fun" in different ways. The show is simply trying to explore how the often traumatic life of a superhero can affect people. It isn't darkness for the sake of darkness.

The Conner episode has Conner walking around bright and sunny Metropolis, not have or realize he needs money for a shirt, and is overall a sweet kid. But it also shows how dark Project Cadmus is, and has bloodshed and emotionally heavy moments. Though IIRC Conner didn't kill anyone and was mostly sweet if naive, showing Chronic Hero Syndrome. He got angry but didn't kill out of anger or show the anger issues that Hank or Dick have.

I mean, the modern day team has had all the older members (except Kory) be incredibly dysfunctional from the start. TBH the flashback characters (Garth, Jericho) and the younger ones (Rose, Gar, Conner, halfway Jason) are the most entertaining and the least 'conflict for sake of conflict'
