Masashi Kishimoto, writer of Naruto.

Eichiiro Oda, writer of One Piece.

Most people would think that they were just two Mangaka who were just doing their own thing, writing their own works to publish to the world. But, the reality is, that they were plotting a conspiracy that would shake both fandoms to the core. They both wanted to take the crown from Akira Toriyama, the writer of Dragon Ball, as the top Mangaka writer!

It was the perfect plan, because they used the theme of Pirates VS Ninjas to get their respective fans of their future Fan-Base to fight each other and thus get the other to read the other's works so they could debate, discuss, and compare, sending thousands of boys and girls world wide to buy their manga and make it more popular.

You might be saying right now "But dude, it's just a coincidence" but I laugh! It was made to just look like that! Naruto was first put on the shelves in the August of 1997. One Piece? December of the same year. They've played us for fools for 18 years!

Not really. Naruto has been terribly written in recent years compared to One Piece, which shows no signs of slowing down. If his goal was to become Top Mangaka, then he's failed.

That's not just a personal opinion. A quick read-through of the Naruto and One Piece threads on this very forum can confirm that.

If you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy, have some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.
