Maybe, but it's still explicit that he was able to do so in the past. He also did that thing with the Crystal Ball.

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I'm hoping for a trailer for the next film soon, since I want some sort of expectation for it.
I'm still not wholly sure a sequel or return to Zombie Island is that necessary, since the story closed itself off pretty well, I think.
So like, is there a reason why Mindy Cohn is no longer doing the voice of Velma nowadays?
Didn't she retire? Or am I thinking of someone else?
"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"Anyone else notice that Asmodeus "transforms" (really one of Mortifer's illusions no doubt) into the flaming demon head from the first episode of the original series? So I guess he was in the show after all.
The cyclops-octopus-tornado thing from the ship episode also got a name, the Demon Slime, and the way it was phrased seems to imply it is actually a distinct entity, rather than a gestalt as previously assumed.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."By the way, I just learned that the identity of the twelfth ghost has been conclusively settled by, of all things, the iTunes episode summaries. Surprising probably no one, it's the captain/travel agent from "Ship of Ghouls."

So this Scooby movie is going to be a Massive Multiplayer Crossover? 👀
Color me very interested/curious in seeing how this plays out now. Shaggy's casting choice is kind of odd to me, but hey, maybe Will Forte does a good Shaggy and we just don't know it yet.
I do wonder when they say other "heroes" if they mean like just the various clue crews since it's a Scooby movie at its core (i.e. Speed Buggy, Jabberjaw, the Funky Phantom) or if anybody's fair game (and we'll see folks like the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Yogi Bear or any of the other funny animals from the H-B menagerie). The fact that Dick Dastardly is apparently the main antagonist kind of leads me to believe the latter since Dastardly is not usually the antagonist toward any of the Clue Crews.
"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"Uh oh, it looks like Warner Brothers is going the same route as the 'Dark Universe'; trying to start a Cinematic Universe immediately with little to no context or build up.
I'll still probably go see it, but the premise doesn't sound good to me; they should've started with a Scooby Doo standalone movie (something akin to Zombie Island or Witch's Ghost), that only hinted at the EU at the end like the early Marvel films did (Maybe mention the Wacky Races at the end, or show Ranger Smith or someone reading a Newspaper about the Scooby Doo gang).
I think they were planning on a Cinematic Universe for a while, and that film might be coming to theaters next year (It's called S.C.O.O.B., I think).
Honestly, I think Mystery Incorporated would have been a perfect jumping off point for spinoffs to other reinterpretations of other Hanna-Barbera cartoons and the like. Cosmic Retcon or otherwise.
Yes, I am familiar with that, but I didn't really know anything about it until yesterday (when I learned Matthew Lillard wasn't even informed he wasn't going to play Shaggy again). My worry is having Dick Dasterdly as the main bad guy in a Scooby Doo Film, where the main bad guy is usually a mystery until the end, kind of defeats the point of it being a Scooby Doo movie. Also, having Captain Caveman as a major character in a Scooby Doo film is (nearly) the same thing as having Dr. Jekyll as a main character in a Mummy movie (which spoiler alert, they did).
If I were in charge of the Hanna Barbera Extended Universe, I certainly wouldn't make these decisions; again, I would make it a darker standalone Scooby Doo movie that only hinted at the Extended Universe at the end (During or Post Credit Scenes).
I'm not sure about Dick Dastardly as a Big Bad (or, at least, not the only Big Bad) because the joke with him is that he's actually rather bad at it.
Imo, that could work for a smaller scale, condensed story (for example, I've always though the very first arc of Dragonball, with the inept Pilaf as Big Bad, would be a fantastic film if adapted pretty much as is tonally and beat-wise), but not so much for a big epic crossover and so on.
I've always thought a Wacky Races film, for example, should composite with Perils of Penelope Pitstop, with Dastardly as Big Bad for the racing part but mostly comedic, while Hooded Claw is Big Bad of his own subplot that drives the plot in smaller ways while being more competent.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Would anyone be intrested in a Funky Phantom crossover?
I'd love one, especially if it was better than the Mystery Inc one.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So this most recent movie concluded 13 Ghosts. It's widely rumored that the next will be a sequel to Zombie Island. If the nostalgia trend continues, know who I'd like to see again? Crystal. Perhaps the most memorable character from the "Golden Age" of Scooby movies; at least in my top three with the Hex Girls and Ravencroft.

I mean, I'd like Reluctant Werewolf nods later movie references and so on and so forth, but it's not a deal breaker.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. They showed up in OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes, after a gap of almost 30 years, last Halloween.
They actually got three of the voice actresses to reprise their roles (the vampire, ghost, and Frankenteen), but had to recast Winny and the mummy girl, due to one retiring and the other passing away.
The cast of Ghoul School showed up recently in OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes, specifically the episode "Monster Party."
That's so crazy.
They had Kwami of all characters show up in Ok KO Lets Be Heroes as well.
Is the show becoming some kind of retro get together series or something?
One Strip! One Strip!Who is next? Space Ghost?
Wake me up at your own risk.Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried have been cast as Fred and Daphne for the new movie.

Also, in a mask or not, the bad guy is still a magic-seeking archeologist.
That said, they never gave any other explanation as to why Vincent couldn't cast spells throughout the movie.
