I never wanted to make elves seem invincible, just harder to kill than humans (and humans can be pretty tough to kill). Sorry if it came off like that. I'm fine with whatever you want me to do with them.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI hope the lute's okay.
Also, could I sign-up with a second character?
- Name: Tiberius (Last name changes every time someone asks)
- Age: 35
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: Like so
◊.
- Years of Service: Less than one.
- Ranking: V
- Affinity: Air
- Abilities:
- As is befitting of a fairly experienced Bard, Tiberius is an expert at playing his Lute as well as being able to play most other commonly used instruments.
- Though not an expert warrior, Tiberius is capable of using his axe to defend himself against most opponents.
- Equipment:
- Tiberius' one of a kind enchanted lute. After saving up a fair deal of money, Tiberius paid a Spellweaver to ensure that his trusty instrument would make a sound unlike any othernote , but can go back to sounding like a regular lute should Tiberius will it. Other than the sound alteration, there's nothing special about it.
- Since being a bard can be dangerous at times, Tiberius wears a suit of hard leather armour and carries a double headed battleaxe as well as four daggers at all times.
- Tiberius also carries a leatherbound book of songs and poems.
- Personality: Tiberius' main motivation in life is to learn of and engage in as many great battles as possible so that he might write songs about the courage of the men and women who fight for the freedom and safety of all sentient beings. With an outlook like this, it was only natural that he'd want to join up with a powerful band of mercenaries where he'd be able to ply both of his skill sets and make a bit of coin doing so. Tiberius believes that no matter what, good will always triumph over those who would attempt to control and abuse the innocent and unwilling. This idyllic view of the world has gotten Tiberius in far more arguments with his fellow bards than he would like to admit, but he carries on undaunted and ever eager to join the battle against tyranny and darkness.
- Bio: Tiberius grew up in a fairly poor area of a rather large city somewhere around The Line (he's since forgotten where exactly) and basically lived off of scraps for the first ten years of his life. Around when he turned ten, Tiberius managed to scrounge up enough money to buy himself a lute, despite having no idea how to play. Over the course of five years or so, Tiberius managed to get lessons from some of the bards who passed through his city until he considered himself a good enough musician to set out on his own. Over the course of the next twenty years, Tiberius traveled across the continent playing for any audience willing to listen and eventually joined up with the Red Dragons out of a desire for adventure and wanting to have plenty of tales to tell when his tenure ends.
• Name: Annia Alvaine
• Age: 18
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: About 5’ 4”. Green eyes, long waist length blond hair. When out of the armor wears actually pretty simple clothes. A white cloth tunic, leather pants, no shoes (likes to feel the softness of grass on her feet) and leather gauntlets. Kai may not know it but she has a dragon tattoo on her back that she got at some unknown time. Who knows if Kai actually cares.
• Years of Service: All her life.
• Ranking: Rank I
• Affinity: Wind
• Specialty: Offense
• Spells:
o I) Grand Leap: Uses the wind to launch herself high into the air and crash down with a powerful lance strike.
o II) Lancet: Thrusts her lance forward and sends a spearhead shaped projectile of wind.
o III) Highwind: Summons a gust of powerful wind that can force enemies back.
o IV) Wind Rider: Exactly What It Says on the Tin. She dashes forward along the winds carrying her about 10 feet at max.
o V) Gungnir: Throws her lance wrapped in powerful swirling wind at close to mach speeds (may be an exaggeration)
• Abilities and Equipment:
o The Armor looks a bit like this: http://imgur.com/xIoMV5g
except a deep crimson red and more female form fitting.
o Freya: Her trusty lance that has been in her hands for as long as she can remember.
• Personality: Calm and collected, with a caring smile on her face. She grew up looking after the younger and helping the older always trying to set an example in the group.
• Bio: The younger sister of Kai and a brilliant fighter with a lance. She’s always been helping her father and later brother with leading the Red Dragons.
I hope you enjoy Grim.
Wether I get the main character slot or not, it will still be fun. Both of my characters have things to intrigue me.
I'll make two. Pick one though, I don't think I could play both.
- Name: Achernar "Aki" Phaieton
- Age: 46
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: An average sized man in full bluish-gray plate armor. The armor is covered in numerous scratches and is tarnished in places. It is clear to see that the armor was once a majesty to behold, as faint flecks of gold can be see in places, implying intricate gold etchings were once a notable feature. An eagle mid-flight is part of the armor's design, taking up the main chestplate with the beak forming the right shoulder pauldron. Achernar himself has a rather regal looking face, save for a large scar running down the left side of his face, from just above the eyebrow to just below his ear. His hair is best described as salt-and-pepper, and perpetually messy due to wearing a helmet most of the time.
- Years of Service: 25
- Ranking: I
- Affinity: Earth
- Specialty: None
- Spells: None
- Abilities and Equipment:
- His strength is just enough that he can wear his armor without any sort of movement penalty. He can also wield his weapons proficiently and skillfully as is befitting his years of service.
- Achernar carries a longsword
◊ as his primary weapon. It is rather unremarkable. He also carries a lantern shield
on his arm, which he uses at night to see as well as for both offensive and defensive purposes.
- He's a pretty good cook too.
- Personality: Achernar is tired. He's been in service for a while, and his personality can be best described by the phrase "I've seen it before." He is aching for something new in his life, something like back when he first joined up.
- Note: When speaking to those either younger than him or of less experience, Achernar will speak in a rather paternal way. Softer than usual.
- Bio: Achernar is the crown-prince of a long-forgotten kingdom, a kingdom he has since given up on restoring. His armor was commissioned by his father especially for him. He joined up with the Red Dragons at the age of 21 and has been a loyal member ever since. The scar running down his face is a remnant of one of his first missions. One that turned out very poorly, one that he will occasionally wake up in the middle of the night re-experiencing.
- Name: Alshain "Al" Tarazed
- Age: 26
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: I'm still a knight, even if I am a mercenary right now.
◊
- Years of Service: 3
- Ranking: IV
- Affinity: Light
- Specialty: Offense
- Spells:
- Basic:
- Sunlight Double: Alshain duplicates a motion of his using light magic, creating an identical copy of the movement. It is the basic form of most of his Spells. The copy can be a different angle or in a different location than the original.
- Advanced:
- Corona Thrust: Alshain thrusts his sword forward, then replicates the attack six times in an instant in extremely close proximity to the first.
- Tenflare: A single punch replicated 10 times in front of an enemy. Like a punch flurry, but usually with only one arm. And only ten times.
- Obscura: He blocks with his sword, then spawns doubles of the motion in a circle, creating a light-magic shield made of solid-light sword blades.
- Solstice: To reach a distant opponent, Alshain will send a duplicate flying into an enemy. This is either with sword thrusts or slashes, though both can be combined into one instance of this attack for added effect.
- Basic:
- Abilities and Equipment: Alshain wears a royal guard's set of armor, and wields a ceremonial blade as well. The blade has been duly sharpened of course.
- Personality:Alshain is a knight at heart. He believes in honor, duty, and the inherent good in mankind (and elves and werewolves, and well, you name it). He does not, however, care for the God Emperor. He is rather cheerful and empathetic to his peers, and has great respect for his elders (well the good ones anyway).
- Bio: Alshain was raised from a young age to be a knight, until around the age of 9 he was taken from his home to begin his training as a royal guard for the God Emperor himself. An honor really, but not one Alshain cared for. After years of relentless and rigorous trials and tribulations, he managed to escape at the age of 20 with only the armor on his back and the sword at his side. Before he joined the Red Dragons, he lived with a spellweaver who taught him how to use his light affinity properly. He had the affinity for it after all, but that had gone undiscovered during his training. His knowledge is far from the spellweaver standard, but he can manage a few things. Nothing more complex than replication really, and his usage of it is highly unusual/unorthodox.

"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Alright then, I've got, in no particular order:
- A tribal healer person, using the power of fire to both repair and deal damage. A rather easy going fellow, always willing to help.
- A huge armor, and a just as huge shield; This guy is the closest thing you can get to an advancing wall of doom in human(?) form. May or may not spout hamtastic lines in the middle of battle and talk about himself in the third person.
- a peasant turned mercenary, bringing torches, pitchforks, and zero fucks to the fight. Weapon of choice: his pickaxe, which he's been using for decades to break rocks and skulls alike. A one man peasant revolution.
- A priest turned demon hunter, bringing the classic arsenal for the job: Stakes, crossbows, holy water, you name it. A strong moral compass, tirelessly working on helping his peers towards the path of righteousness.
Yeah, that's all I got here, tried to keep it short and spoiler-free. Which one(s) , if any, sound interesting?
Hey, this looks interesting. Still a place for one more?
- Name: Strongheim Mikill, son of Gabos Mikill, son of Magnus "Spell-killer" Mikill, Sir!
- Age: Forty-four winters have passed since my mother gave birth to me.
- Gender: A man through and through.
- Appearance: Ready for action, Sir!
◊
- Ranking: Round twenty years in service and thirty two missions finished, Sir! Had a pleasure of serving under your father just like my own father did, Sir!(Rank I)
- Affinity: Earth.
- Abilities:
- I am a warrior through and through. I consider my technique lacking, but I make up for it with my superior physical shape befitting that of a man fifteen years younger and the sheer determination. Unless ordered by you I shan't fall in battle, Sir!
- I speak loudly and proudly. Many people I have intimidated that way, on purpose or otherwise.
- Equipment:
- The suit of armor and a shield my father used before me. They're simple, but sturdy and reliable.
- Atlas, the fabled sword my grandfather used to defeat many an arrogant Spellweaver and even creatures of pure magic, then passed on to my father and then to me, Sir! The blessing of our ancestors gave this sword a power of old. Once it hits a man, its properties will cause it to shut down any Affinity, making a user unable to cast spells for a while or two. The stronger the magic in the target, the more harmful the effect is, to the point of killing them outright. It can disrupt things like force fields and elementals by cutting into it as well, but at the end of the day it's just a fine sword to hack someone with, Sir!
- I also have a small axe as an emergency weapon and a hunting knife for utility purposes.
- Personality: As it was with my grandfather and my father fighting is the essence of my existence, Sir! I don't strive to shed blood - unless my opponent is a vile spawn that deserves no life - merely to enjoy the challenge and improve myself. If you wish to fight fairly, I shall oblige, but know this: if you cheat, if you use your dirty tricks, then I shall show you no mercy! Other than that, it is my belief my ancestors shared that strong are to protect the weak. It is why I followed in my father's footsteps and applied to be a part of Red Dragons. I enjoy a good feast and a good tale to hear about though I abstain from liquor and intimacy.
- Bio: Like I've mentioned I'm a grandfather of the mighty "Spell-breaker", the one warrior who gave so much trouble to imperials and spellweavers they employed, stubbornly refusing to accept God-Emperor. For three days and three nights he stood tirelessly with the few men that remained by his side, halting the advance of imperial army at our hometown Longslund far in the north. To this day it remains an independent city-state and the sole one besides cities in The Line that never lost to the warmachine of The Empire. My father never reached the legend of his father, but he was a man I treasured and respected for all the good he did for me. Since my mother died when I was but an infant he raised me all by his own and taught me warfare as he knew it. He joined the Red Dragons when I was twelve and since then I was motivated to once follow in his footsteps, fight strong opponents and, perhaps most importantly, do what's right. As he retired to keep after Longslund as a wise chieftain he gave me Atlas that was once bestowed upon him by my grandfather and died of old age soon after. I am determined to make both of them proud, Sir!
OOC: Posting a char sheet like this was way more satisfying than I thought it'll be.
