9 has been pulled from Steam by its publisher.
Likely due to Freddy Kreuger's rights being returned to his author's estate.
Well that sucks. Copyright is such a bitch to handle.
In hindsight, Freddy should've been in MK X but it would've hassle to record all that dialogue for him
Speaking of tho, all those guests puts in M Kx in slightly higher danger too if something changes.
The double edged sword of guest characters.
Yeah. Even just one of them can kill a chance for annMKX rerelease some years later if shit goes wrong
Also I'm starting to warm up on MK 11 Kung Lao if only because wow they dialled up his ego in the intros way past Johnny Cage levels. Most intros that aren't justice-based or against Liu Kang are about how his cock is mega huge or how he is the fucking strong. Its hilarious really, now he makes MKSM Kung Lao look like Malibu Comics Kung Lao. If he ends up the new hero in the new timeline I hope the story is his ego fucking things up really badly.
I think they realized he needed something to make him less boring than even the notoriously bland Liu Kang and it really worked.
His facial expressions in his more smug intros are really great, too.

I know right, its actually kinda endearing in a stupid kinda way. Apparently even his ending, reshaping time, protecting the earth and killing Onaga was solely to grab his crotch at Liu Kang.
Its to the point that even Johnny Cage would tell him "Dude tone it down you nob"
Meanwhile I read the Malibu Comics and Kung Lao in that is really humble at times and is plagued with self-hatred that he never shuts up about. But he goes through a decent enough arc, going from burdened with self-hate over his ancestor's failure against Goro to finally reaching its conclusion in his own oneshot, where he learns to believe in himself, and not only beats Shang Tsung in one on one kombat, but frees the Great Kung Lao's soul in the process. I almost wonder if MK 11 Kung Lao woulda gone through a sort of reverse, going from "My cock is bigger than everyone else's" to be more mature, humble warrior who knows he has limits and weaknesses but pushes past them. Yanno without all the Kronika shit happening
Let it not be said that Goro and Shao Kahn do not take health and hygiene seriously.
About the MKX thing, in one of Max's streams he mentioned that they were lucky they got Alien and Predator while they still could because Fox being absorbed into Disney would've made it nearly impossible nowadays.
Yeah kung lao benefit of mostly not being Liu kang and hell, liu kang is more intersting when kung lao is around, he is falcon to liu kang cap.
Kung Lao is The Lancer to Liu's The Leader.
Which, now that I think about it, I don't remember Liu ever leading the Forces of Light other than Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm?
Gotta hand to Raiden, most gods wouldn't even bother helping.
Liu wasn't the leader in that show either, that was Stryker. In fact, Liu's never been the leader of the heroes at all. Most of the time it's Raiden, with some other characters taking up the position in his absence (remember when Johnny was the leader in Armageddon?).
Kinda but no, Liu kang is the hero and the protagonist but no the leader. Raiden is the leader but a mentor figure, a sort of obi wan, in MK 3 raiden take the bus because he cant help meaning he become the leader for the first time, I think he kept being the leader and the protagonist in MK 4 and them he die in then he die in MKDA and Kitana and Kung lao take the mantle and....lost, pretty badly, then protagonist position have rotate since them: Shujinko, while Kitana with spirit kang was leader of the good guys, in MKAR Kung lao, fujin and Johnny cage seen to be steping up as leader(hard to said without bios) with Taven as protagonist and finally Raiden become both the leader and protagonist in MK 9....and well, he become the god of blunder because of it.
That is why I dont bother with the protagonist position swiching again in MK 11, I was expecting that.
Yeah, that's my point.

Someone made an oopsie...
Context: WB Games sent an email saying Spawn was available. At the bottom of the email, where it mentions the licenses, there's a license for Ash Williams by MGM and Orion Pictures.
Can you call it that when a chainsaw revving up was what closed out one of the DLC announcements?
Maybe? Because I'm combing the DLC trailers right now and I'm not hearing a chainsaw.
End of this one when the other characters are being listed

Assuming they don't take out Ash just so Campbell can look truthful, I still don't get why they moved him back unless they deliberately didn't want him in the 1st Kombat Pack.
The popular theory from fans is that since the Joker(2019) film was coming out at the end of the last year, so they decided to change Ash with Joker to promote him with movie synergy, or possibly with DVD sells.
Still took their sweet ass time releasing Joker
Rumors continue to circulate for Kombat Pack 2, and all should be taken with a grain of salt.
Said rumors confirm Ash, along with Sheeva, Fujin, Smoke, “Robo”, (Theorized to be Robocop) and Michael Myers
