So something that came up in Kitana’s MK 11 ladder ending is that Shao Kahn didn’t just conquer Edenia, he pretty much made sure Kitana never grew up knowing it’s culture, history, language etc.
So where does Tanya come into this? Well, we know that Tanya did remember Edenia when she was growing up. And her turn to evil is considered to be due to her becoming corrupted by dark magic.
Or is she?
What if Tanya didn’t just remember Edenia but also studied Edenian magic? We know she can use fire but this isn’t an inherently evil ability as heroic characters have used it before. And one of those heroes is Taven, the Ededian demigod. Whose mother, Delia, was also known as the Lady of Flame implying she specialized in fire magic. And the reason it was viewed as dark magic was because no one practiced Edenian magic in such a long time that what it looked like was forgotten.
It would be interesting if Kitana finds herself conflicted in dealing with Tanya in that she now knows so much about Edenia that could help rebuild the realm but her past actions make it hard for her to be trusted.
Thoughts?
What evil magic? in MK 4 she just the starmscream working with Shinnok, Dvorah take that role in MKX and Tanya is seen as sort of resistence fighter who is morally grey.
Shinnok was cast because he want to rule the realm, specially earthrealm and raiden stop him, MK 11 implie that motivation as sugest by kronika without him knowing.

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Anyone else think the Kombat Kids are kind of like Team RWBY?
Cassie and Ruby - Plucky leaders with a hidden power they, at first, don't quite understand.
Jacqui and Yang - The ones with a pre-existing relationship with the leader (Yang is Ruby's sister and Jacqui met Cassie at a tournament where they became friends). Both also use arm cannons.
Takeda and Blake - The ninja members of the team with a long range weapon.
Jin and Weiss - The jerk with a hidden heart of gold. Both have a family member they admire very much (Kung Lao and Wynter)

What was up with Quan Chi having two shadows in the Deadly Alliance intro?
They already went out of their way & said they couldn't Motaro a centaur because it was too difficult to implement.
You're using a last-gen example for your argument when the 3D era was on during the PS2 days.
Not to mention Johnny has a weird gimmick in All-Stars Battle. That's not even going off how many people don't even believe that All-Stars Battle is a competitive fighting game
I would've liked to see the return of Motaro as much as the next guy but he functions better as a boss. And I already said before that it's more than likely possible to put Motaro back all the way back in MK 9, but NRS probably didn't think he was worth the effort compared to Goro & Kintaro.
For supers, grabs, and anything where they can't use a canned damage taken animation, he's always conveniently knocked off it, so they don't have to account for it the way they would something with a completely inhuman body shape. They'd have to choreograph completely new fatalities, grab animations, and more to make Motaro work in the modern MK games, or make him exempt from all of that.

That’s the real tricky part with centaur characters.
The problem isn’t that they are literally hard to create, the problem is you have to take into account the massive physics shift that effects the moves of possibly every character so it organically work on a character with an inhuman body.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Also motaro in MK 3 was notorious bitch to fight, because he just coz you EVERY damn time, he was very broken because of that.

Hell yes. But what they SHOULD do is a game about Johnny and Cassie Cage kickin ass and takin names. Big fat B-movie fun. It'll be called The Age of Cage and it'll be the exact opposite of those "sad dad" games that were all the rage a few years back. It'll be the first "happy dad" game. Or "glad dad" if you want because dad jokes.

Are explosions science?Still waiting for that sequel. Not entirely sure why they didn't capitalize on that since Shaolin Monks was more or less the best-received game in the 3D era. Story reception notwithstanding.

In X, Shinnok after absorbing the Jinsei's energy is called "Corrupted Shinnok". Why "corrupted"? Because that indicates being corrupted by an evil power and Shinnok was never a good guy in the first place much less the Jinsei power being evil. If anything, he should have been called "Powered Shinnok" or "Strengthened Shinnok".
EDIT: And this is my second proper page topper.
