Oh, so you like eggs, sausage and spam? Or perhaps the ever popular meal: Spam, eggs, spam, spam, spam, spam etc.?

Well thats a Compliment Backfire if I see one.
For me, 7-11's food taste decent for its price IMO, so what I'm saying that MRE taste from decent to okay. How did you get a sandwich anyway? Did you not cook it properly?
Fried rice are beastly, man

http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Speaking of fried rice, mom's gonna apparently be making some for dinner either tonight or the next day, I'm very excited about that. 8D
(On a different note, I spent most of last night initially wanting to blog about stuff to let out steam, but I ended up writing a partial backstory for Nic's dead girlfriend and some of her perspectives of what that gladiator arena was like instead and just… I don't know if that's just normal for me at midnight, but it's certainly why I didn't even try to go to bed until around 2.) >___>
That's a weird nitpicking thing to pick up on, Black.
Also random world building time!!!
The reason why I was hoping the setting to be in Los Angeles because I'm interested in what would happen to Compton after a nuclear war. You see, Compton is infamous for its violence in the streets, as NWA and Kendrick Lamar can testify to, usually from gang violence between Pirus and Crips.
After the bombs dropped, Compton was chaotic with all the people competing with each other to grab and stock up supplies for themselves to survive the nuclear holocaust, even though the bombs were more concentrated on the wealthy part of California, the police were either mostly abandon the town, got caught in the madness or died from the chaos. Then suddenly, one prominent man rose above the chaos and rallied the gang to work together.
At first, they were sceptical, even threatening to kill him for even suggesting it but when the man not only used the fear of a nuclear war and the future of constant infighting would eventually kill them all but also the rise of the Nazi party of America finally made the gang to made amends with each other and from then on, they helped out and defend the brother and sisters that lives and comes from Compton, calling themselves the Compton Pirus-Crips(Im not that good at names)
And who is that man? TUPAC SHAKUR. 2pac is still alive in this RP, make it canon!
What about the mutants? They don't care at all, all they care about is where they from and if the mutants from Compton, they'll easily accept them as one of their own. The Black Beret? They don't care and they do not want to expend any troops to them just for a slim chance to topple the totalitarian government when they were doing fine themselves.
Against the Nazis? The Nazis did not considered them a threat as much as the Black Beret so they are low on the priority list, if they managed to topple the Black Beret, they will come to fully conquer Compton next, for to capture all mutants that are sheltered there and capture a city that has good economy and above average standard of living going on.
...So that's my suggestion, what do you guys think?

http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)So Compton is actually renowned for high quality living? You know, the place where you need a tank to protect you when you go out to pick up the paper? Gloriously brilliant.
Oh, and Tupac's still alive IRL. There's no way a man has THAT many posthumous releases/
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!I mean, AFTER the nuclear war, after Tupac assumed leadership of Compton, mainly because most of America has gone to shits and Tupac aimed to improve the lives of the people.
And Tupac himself confirmed that he wasn't alive! Just hear this song written by the man himself in 1994.
I kinda saw the joke, it's just that my counter joke is rather dry.

What question? About Compton? I like the idea but, in this setting, there's no way that the Nazis would have allowed a city to be independent and harbor mutants like that. I'm going to say that Tupac and the local gangs did have a brief period of tranquility (like for a month) before the NOA came, conquered, and jailed Tupac and the gang leaders as well as executing the harbored mutants.
Also, on the subject of worldbuilding, I really do like you guys adding to the setting but I'd really prefer it if you asked me, via PM or on this thread, about your ideas before posting them on the main thread. Sgtpendulum, I mainly looking at you in this case. Adding the term "zoo" for prison is fine, I suppose, but you cannot add in the bit about mutant prisons being open for school visits or the price of admission for these types of visits. Sorry to pick on you in this post (I don't hate you!
) but I wanted to clear that out of the way right now instead of later down the road. I'd prefer if you edited that bit about school visits please.
Also, I didn't make it too clear and I apologize for that, but NOA dollars are the new currency of America. They basically look like regular American dollars except with Nazi emblems on the bills instead of American.
Anyway, post incoming.

BUT TUPAC IS STILL ALIVE, RIGHT?
But yeah, sorry about the world building bit, I kinda got too energetic, will PM you in the future when I have an idea for the worldbuilding. Will edit my posts.
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)
He got out and is one of the Beret lieutenants now, didn't you know?
I completely didn't notice any school mentions and just assumed the NOA people she was talking about were the type of "corrupt" that didn't mind letting normal citizens look at the mutants if they payed them a fee of sorts, ehe… ^^'

Actually, you are correct, Black, I just don't want to bother correcting the fact myself because, hey, I have to edit it out anyway.
Aww, man, it would be so cool if Tupac is a lieutenant whose in jail for an undetermined amount of time, people would mutter 'Free Tupac' as a motto for peace among brothers and sisters and the Tale of Compton will be a folk tale of the ages, telling the story of independence, peace and perseverance with a tragic ending. That would be so rad.

For the record, I've actually eaten packets of MRE before and most of them are delicious, I forgot what was in them already but it's taste at least as good as the 7-11's food.
