clocked out. I'd be fine with pulling the current for not being illustrative...undecided on the suggestion.
I think the suggestion is at least an improvement. Probably good enough to put on the page.
Current is pullable anyway, though.
Check out my fanfiction!
Could you repost it here? The more alternatives, the better.
I like the idea of a self-demonstrating image/caption combo though. OP's suggestion is fine IMO, but if people think it's too wordy or visually unappealing or anything there are a whole lot of other ways to execute the same concept. Just an example:

This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.11
though I like 12 for an unreliable illustrator. Also wasn't meaning to provide an Example example, just illustrating a point.
Decided to do a scan of the whole page instead of the relevant panels, but if people like it, I'm sure we could find a better quality image. Pic
◊ For those curious, I was thinking of either the two lower left hand panels or the top and middle one.

Current.
◊ It's not even worth moving to UnreliableNarrator.Webcomics, and seeing as the page is at 13294 in-links, the article shouldn't be blank.
I'm thinking it'll need both a contradictory image and caption to work, but the number of subpages may mean making an image just for the page. Not sure if it could simply be self-demonstrating either, like:
With unparalleled line-craft that could be described as the reinvention of illustration as an art form, the artist fully depicted every detail of the scene; from the terrier's eartips to the petals of a lone poppy, and the stunning backdrop of a sunny white sand beach.
