M'kay. Also, putting this here for storage:
- Alternate Universe Name: Paved With Good Intentions
- General Description: A journey through the afterlife.
- Setting: The underworld, which includes both Fire and Brimstone Hell as well as other mythological variations on the location, based on our characters.
- Events: Our characters are dead, but decide that Death can shove it. They must confront and defeat their own personal sins (in the form of their respective series enemies) to escape the underworld and return to life.
- Goal/Ending: Everyone lives again.
So here's two ideas.
- Alternate Universe Name: How I Met Your AU
- General Description: A sitcom AU, where all the characters are reimagined as friends who are searching for love, success, and happiness.
- Setting: The 'episode' will take place on the local bar/cafe/community lot which the characters frequently visit, and the area around it... which just so happens to be New York City.
- Events: It's the final episode, and it's all been building up to this. The characters have to make it their perfect day and complete their goals. Present an architectural project, ask someone they love for their hand in marriage, fix a family problem...
- Goal/Ending: They have until the end of the night to achieve their goals just in time for their last time at the bar/cafe/community lot, which is closing. If they don't succeed... well, they didn't officially cancel the show, now did they?
- Alternate Universe Name: Work in Progress
- General Description: The characters are a pantheon of gods. Not much else to say about this.
- Setting: A divine plane of existence.
- Events: After eons of hanging around and being gods, the pantheon of characters decide to create... whatever they want. One new world or various new worlds... one new race or various new races... or maybe even a cluster of black holes. They've got an universal sandbox, and they have the rest of their eternal lives to do whatever they want. Of course, different interests might clash...
- Goal/Ending: The AU ends... when all gods are satisfied, I guess.
As someone who was in the original Work in Progress RP, I approve that second one.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget? The whole concept of Work in Progress sounds like anathema to any kind of structure, so that puts me off a bit. Afterlife would be cool though. Especially if I picked up Gilgamesh at the point in the epic where he still wanted live forever. He'd be denying that he was dead the whole time.
Sitcom AU sounds fun too, but I don't know if I'd want it to be the season finale. A day in the life of sitcom Gilgamesh would be fun enough.
"And then for his impudence, I had his head cut off." (laugh track)
Though it would be adapted, so I guess he pays someone to slash their tires.
If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~Work in Progress actually was pretty good the first time. I think the problem with the reboot was that it actually DID have a planned out storyline, and in doing so lessened the freedom of the players and ruined the experience.
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?Full disclosure, I kind of meant for you guys to control the NPC bandits you brought with you. But that works too.
If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~I'm just waiting for Fergard and Eachiuun before the bandits start firing. They're going to die quickly, anyway, because they're not wearing a bandanna.
Alternate Universe Name: The Ormazd Grand Prix!!!
General Description: A Wacky Races style intergalactic race partially inspired by Red Line, with all the characters as either racers, pit crew, fans, and/or other connected individuals.
Setting: Set into the far flung future of 10KAD, it will be the 200th Edition of the biannual Ormazd Grand Prix!!!, the craziest, most insane, most suicidal, more collateral damage inducing underground race in the known universe! Originally called the Ahriman Grand Prix!!! and after former seven-time champion Ud the Imp took over the competition, its been since renamed, made more acceptably legit, or "above ground underground" as Ud calls it, and all races take place entirely on either uninhabited death worlds and/or the home planets of the most feared, brutal, and despotic intergalactic regimes! The race is invite only, and all the players were chosen, personally, by Ud himself to race! The prize for surviving the insanity?! Bragging Rights, literal tons of cash, or, if their performance truly impresses Ud, to be granted a single wish within Ud's power......
Events: Mostly the race itself, this year's victimtrack to be located on the Skrull Thronewold. However, the racers can deviate as much as they want, attacking enemy Skrulls, freeing slaves, and generally disrupting the Skrull central government as much as possible. However, no matter what a racer does, they still have to hit the finish to officially win in the race. They may get consolation prizes though, if they impress Ud with their antics.
Goal/Ending: When the first three surviving racers hit the finish line.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!That does sound pretty great.
If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~I think this is one of the strangest (and quite possibly the funniest) AU I've created to date.
Alternate Universe Name: Group Therapy AU.
General Description: Our characters are in a group therapy session, and attempt to help deal with each other's mental baggage.
Setting: A large room with a circle of chairs in the middle. Over to the side is a drinks machine and a table laden with food and other drinks.
Events: We've seen our characters at their best, but rarely their worst. What issues might our characters be hiding? After much pressure from their allies (and the will of mysterious figures sitting in front of a screen of light), they attend the OOC therapy session. But with so many super powered misfits in the same room, will this session end in a disaster? Or will our characters leave with something more than just peace of mind?
Goal/Ending: When each person had their turn to try and seek help for their issues…

I think we're waiting on Sharknado, Kage, and Eachiunn.
If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~

Well, I have no Mooks to present, to be honest. I was trying to find a good picture of that one guy without a name who almost killed Roberta and put him as a Mini-Boss, but the poor guy has no pictures or screens whatsoever.
So yeah, go ahead. :) Maybe I'll just introduce him at a later date.
