Yes. And, militarisation stops all border crossings when there's enough corruption to allow smuggling of many, many types (including human trafficking). :| Oh, and don't forget: Ebola likes bats. Particularly fruit bats.
Hope like hell none start carrying it, if it actually has landed.

With one of the most impressive military machines in the world at the time, not ebola infected Pakistanis.

Also didn't the Maginot Line work? In that nobody tried to cross it directly? The problem wasn't the Line, it was the bit of the border not conversed by the line. So unless there's a Belgium sized hole in the border defences they're probably pretty secure.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranAs a resident of Glasgow, I am completely unfazed by the prospect of an ebola victim being treated by the excellent staff at the Garty, though I am apprehensive about the media response. My thoughts are with the victim in particular, but also with the many many victims dying in West Africa.

The WHO recently released a statement that they're fairly optimistic about West Africa now, mostly because improved treatment of patients and disposal of bodies has slowed down the spread of the disease.
