Dunno what constitutes as a tool though. LBP 3 itself brings 70 unique tools, changed/enhanced 29 from LBP 1 and 2, and brought in 10 from LBP Vita that weren't available in 2. So LBP 2 (I'm assuming with all of the feature-bearing DLC) had about 170 create tools.
Dang, sounds like an impressive roundup then. Can't wait to hear more on the finer details.
They'll turn your world aroundLeast we forget, Sackboy has discovered the Sword of Evil's Bane, CHICKEN FORK!!!. One of my biggest concerns was that with the addition of the three heroes, Sackboy wouldn't get anything new. Luckly that doesn't seem the case. Oh, the ideas I already have.
I still wanna know how the Vita's items play into this.
There was a big stream earlier showing off a lot of new create mode tools. You can find it Here
. It's a little slow going, but worth the watch.

You'll never siphon my want! I'm pre-ordering this sunday unless something goes awry.
They'll turn your world aroundI've got just $5 on the PS 3 version, the rest will be paid off once november rolls around
I did a little writeup
on the video stream over at NeoGAF (I go by "Creaking" there) if anyone is interested. Got a couple screengrabs of creation tools in the tool menu too, some I can't recognize.

Here's the Create Mode part of the stream in a You Tube format:
So there's a LBP 3 Game Jam going on, and a flood of new info spilled out. Here's my NeoGAF thread on the new stuff

Just noticed something that's almost killed my enthusiasm for the game.
Most of the pre-order bonuses are only for the PS 4 version of the game. Why would Sony give PS 3 players the boot like that?
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. That's odd. I guess they'd really like you to upgrade.
By the way, if anyone wants to see how some user made LBP 3 levels look in the beta right now (including some with full 3D movement), check out youtube. The Beta NDA has lifted and people are allowed to say whatever and show whatever. I got into the beta myself last week, but I haven't had time (or a need really, considering that the net is flooded with info) to post impressions. It's looking good though. Very good.
They'll turn your world aroundSo, we know that Little Big Planet 3 will bring over all the loot from 1 and 2, but what about Vita? Will it have all that too or what, I ask because the Vita version had some loot I liked and it'd be a shame if it was all lost.
Also I need help tracking an object down. It's a Light Object that resembles a chandelier, please and thank you.
Yeah, LBP 3 has a really great soundtrack. Some absolutely excellent use of licensed tunes as well. I'm surprised that the Ziggurat theme got an award though, it seems kind of understated compared to other
award winning LBP tracks.

They'll turn your world aroundUnfortunately, it's an Obvious Beta for now. Look what I added under YMMV/LittleBigPlanet for details. But I do know there's some kind of patch incoming.
I love that we're able to just capture sackbots as characters now. I'm in the middle of making a Mr. Game & Watch sackbot with the opacity tool, emitters, sequencers, Sticker Panel material, and Super Smash Bros. 3DS as a handy reference for each frame. Shame that I can't actually place stickers on the Sticker Panels yet, though...

Anyone out there playing this game? I finished the story mode last night, and am looking to start playing with people to get the multiplayer stuff. Either I've had appalling bad luck, or the random matchmaking is terrible. Tried to join people several times in the Newton's Airship level, and it always timed out one way or another. And what's with having to accept an invite to join a game anyway? What was wrong with it just taking you straight in?
I'm also missing an item on the first level where Newton does tutorial stuff, and I have no idea where it is and it's going to drive me mad.

New trailer
from Gamescom and a new blog post
that mentions some new features. A whopping 70 new create tools. I'm really curious as to what they managed to stuff into the game.
