The Marduk trailer makes me think his and King's bromance might be over.
Nah, that's just how Craig is, even in 6 and Tag 2 he was acting the fool and talking trash despite the heel-face turn outside kayfabe.
He does still have beef with AK 2, though.
Yeah. Remember that time he murdered Armour King's brother?
Marduk sure does have reason to be mad...oh wait? He doesn't?
No. He does not. Armour King has every right to hate him.
I never said he didn't?
But unless 7 goes into detail (and it won't since the DLC characters don't appear to have stories) last we checked in on them Craig and King were still cool despite the former killing his master and all, since they buried that. AKII hasn't yet but he's a different person from King and justified or not King doesn't seem all that gungho about jumping back on the vengeance train.
Remember that time when he wore a black jaguar mask to taunt King?
It's not too difficult to root for Armor King and unlike most of the other vengeance seekers, he at least limits his wrath to the one guy that actually pissed him off.
Those guys at least make sense for Tekken's world unlike Nagan. He'd be better off as an MK guest star since at least he can pull of Fatalities with his bat.
Yeah Negan has zero business in Tekken.
Negan seems like what happens if you fuse Bryan and miguel together and gave him a bat. I dont hate him, but he doesn't seem very hype inducing aa say, devil jin beama.
I'm sure if I was a fan of the show I'd be rracing every frame for reference but....I'm not, oops.
Everytime I see Negan swing I expect to see some blood & someone's brains bashed out.
Hey he really would be perfect for MK.
So seeing y'all talk about zombies and baseball bats and stuff with Negan got me thinking.
Would Frank West be a good fit for a guest character? If nothing else he at least has an exuberant enough personality to fit in with the cast.
Well he's no stranger to the Tekken cast.
He works in Marvel because it's over the top and crazy and pretty much any sort of moveset could feasibly be portrayed there with some embellishment.
Tekken's a lot more grounded and technical and there's a bigger focus on mundane martial arts than in most other fighters, which is half of why Negan's just not very interesting, since he's just a dude with a bat at the end of the day. I guess they could focus on his different weapons or something but he'd be yet another tonally strange guest that doesn't fit in with the rest of the roster.

Vmmm Being in two separate fighting game franchises is where I draw the line. I say Frank should stay in MVC.
So anyone wanna explain how Marduk and AK2 got out of hospital?
...they healed. That tends to happen.
Marduk should have stayed there. Maybe then he'd murder less people and be a dick about it.
Think Iron Fist (comics version) would do fit?
But rather than go into that, I'll use a character I think would fit if someone put a gun to my head and made me come up with a good Tekken guest.
Korra from that cartoon checks off a lot of what makes a Tekken character feel like a Tekken character - she's got a great physical presence with her mannerisms and actions, a fighting style rooted in actual martial arts that could translate well to the game, and a unique angle that warrants her showing up in her bending.
I don't think that'd ever happen since it doesn't look like there's much going on in the Avatar space right now and Korra is somewhat infamous and polarizing in particular, but she wouldn't be that out of place compared to Noctis or Negan especially. She might even fit in better than Geese and Gouki.

Considering what the Mishima's & Akuma are capable of, fuck the Avatar would be right at home.
....... Shit what about Yujiro from Baki? That guy can stop an earthquake just by punching the ground.

I'd just be boring and say Kiryu from Yakuza.

I wanted to avoid Kiryu cause even though he and Majima are perfect for the game it's pretty clear Harada doesn't give a shit at this point.
Baki characters are weird cause while the show's all about martial arts, it's crazy over the top and its fight scenes tend to not be. It's also almost as much about body horror as it is fighting, and just like Negan can't really be depicted accurately here, a lot of the really graphic stuff from Baki wouldn't fly in Tekken.
Yujiro's less of a martial artist and more some kind of untouchable demigod. I think you could make a fighting style for him that fits the game, but I don't think it'd be very accurate to anything from Baki.
Shit Baki would be perfect for MK then.
They'd make great X-Ray moves.
This reminds me of the times when Miguel was introduced and people were a lil miffed he didn't have a proper fighting style. Even though Bryan fury existed well before him.
Bryan does use kickboxing though. I love Miguel's thug life brawling lol. I feel being a street fighter him not having a proper fighting style fits.
I honestly dislike non-gaming characters being guests in fighting games, especially if their origin doesn't even fit with the fighting game...which is exactly where Negan falls into.
Kiryu would've been great. I thought namco and sega liked each other too...
IMO, Bryan's fighting style barely qualifies as kickboxing these days.
