That doesn't mean the show can't continue without her. Maybe it's for the better that she would not be involved with the miniseries.
My biggest sticking point with the series finale is less that it happened, and moreso that it didn't feel like it was built up to all that well. Namely Star realizing that Toffee was right about magic being nothing but trouble, and that getting rid of it might be the best solution. I don't think the show did enough in its last two seasons to cement that idea. Heck, I don't think Star even so much as mentioned Toffee for a good season and a half until that moment in "The Tavern at the End of the Multiverse".
They failed to make me see Star killing the magic as anything other than her deciding to roll with a random idea that popped into her mind during a temper tantrum, rather a rage-induced epiphany that was a long time coming.
The season as a whole was funny, though. Season 4 probably has my favourite comedic moments in the entire series.
I agree on the buildup, but it's weird to call her disdain for magic a "tantrum" when it is rooted in the people she's tried to protect being endangered and close to being genocided by nigh-invincible magic warriors backed up by the supposed benevolent magical guardians.
Oh, the anger she feels in that moment is totally, 100% justified. Girl has realized that a race of oppressed people she's been fighting for the rights of for the past year are about to get wiped out of existence, her own mother is a major reason why, and she's pretty much powerless to stop it. She deserves a few minutes to go off. I'm just using tantrum in a general "extreme emotional outburst" sense, since just saying "emotional breakdown" didn't quite fit in my mind. Plus, in my defense, Star herself calls it a tantrum after calming down a bit (which I know is another quick joke, but still).

I dispute that the fandom died rather quickly after the final,if anything it launched a sea of fix fics seeking undo what people regarded as an unsatisfactory final, but yeah in general without new episodes to maintain interest people just moved on,but it was'nt like a sudden death thing

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverYeah, the show's fandom didn't have a sudden death. It just naturally declined as a result of just not having new content to work off of. Even then, I still see some of the more prominent fan artists for the show crank out comics and fics on occasion in-between focusing on newer shows like The Owl House. And if anything, the finale gave the show a bit of infamy that allows it to constantly pop back into discussion every few months in general animation fan circles on the interwebs. I kinda struggle to recommend the show these days because of how it ends, but I still enjoy the first two seasons a lot, and the latter two still have great and funny moments.
And yeah, harping on the finale is a bit mean and overdone at this point, but it's hard for a bad ending not to overshadow a show. Cleaved wasn't even divisive ala Steven Universe's "Change Your Mind"; it was just straight-up disliked or confusing to most fans.
That was an amazing day. I mocked my friend for getting invested in GoT, and he got his revenge by mocking me for getting invested in SVTFOE. The scales balanced. It was fun.

I highly doubt that STVTFOE got a worse reception for their finale than the series that said "actually genocide is probably a good idea after all, let's murder eighty percent of the planet."
Yeah, people weren't happy with the finale, but they mostly just dropped it and found something else to do. And moringmark is still pumping out awesome comics like a trooper, so the fandom isn't completely dead.

So naturally she doesn’t see how she obviously made Mina more of a threat.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I mean it seems like Moringmark is the only fanartist who still makes stuff for the show. I was and am still in Tumblr, and it seems that after the finale, Moringmark and a few others were all that's left. Even now, I think Steven Universe and Gravity Falls still have people making stuff for it on Tumblr and that stuff getting lots of hits, but with Star, there seems to be very little left (that gets attention), unless it's by Moringmark.
Like, I literally just did a dive through Tumblr, and when it comes to comparing the three shows, Star's stuff is not only less frequently recent, but also less liked, unless it's by Moringmark. Compare GF or SU and you immediately see much more recent stuff that has a lot more likes.

She did believe she had a killswitch she could use when things went too far. Now, even discounting that, she still went too far with the stuff she was fine with Mina doing, but the second she had what she wanted she tried to turn off Mina's army.

I will said that on earth only marco crush and star friend were the only good chararter, the rest were pretyt forgottable, I feel those two should move to mewni rather that being let up.
