This is the thread to use if you feel that the page image itself is good but the caption needs help.
If you think that both the image and the caption are poor, please make a thread in Image Pickin' for the page, and we'll work on the image and caption both at the same time.
As with other TRS and IP threads, please state your reasons and make your case in your first post. Don't make the other posters spend time trying to pry it out of you.

But maybe move the current caption to be page quote, it feels more page quote sized? Might want to run that by the page quotes thread.
Regarding the caption for Amanda the Adventurer's Nightmare Fuel page:
Would bluelinking it to What the Hell, Player? be okay? In-context, Amanda's blowing her lid at the player for refusing to help a stray kitten.

Don't think it needs the bluelink, but you can add it if you want.
The caption for the What An Idiot subpage of Captain Underpants was originally this (decided here
):
but was since changed to this:
Can we revert it to the original version? It was much more concise and extra context isn't needed for that image.
My plan is to trick you into thinking this is my signature when it’s not, then confuse you silly. Doubting my plan? Then it's working!Yeah, that's so much text.
The Extremist Was Right
- The pic is potholed to ComicBook.Fantastic Four, but the caption links to the precise source which is pretty atypical.
- Chained Sinkhole in the caption
- Gratuitous reference to Music.MF Doom in the note
My thoughts:
- Pothole to ComicBook. What If Marvel Comics
- Tweak the caption to something like:
That way you still get the Fantastic Four link without getting bogged down in universe numbering, while giving more context to the 'extremist' part of the trope.
The song and that exact lyric is already used as a page quote on WesternAnimation.Beauty And The Beast 1991, so I don't think that's an option unless we want to change the quote on the film page.
So I saw the caption of Extreme Omnivore which has been discussed a while back
. While the caption is alright, I find the note in the end a bit too snarky and unnecessary...
We were robbed of this awesomeness in the movie.
In fact, the note is never exactly stated in the discussions at all. Should it be removed?

Currently semi-active.Question, while WebVideo.Yu Gi Oh The Abridged Series is kinda ingrained to Yu-Gi-Oh, does using references to it as captions count as referential captions? In the same vein as how a caption to WebVideo.Real Time Fandub was removed from Funny. The Murder Of Sonic The Hedgehog because it was a reference to it.
By that logic, the captions for Funny.Yu Gi Oh The Dark Side Of Dimensions and Awesome.Yu Gi Oh The Dark Side Of Dimensions are referential and should be changed.
Proposal for Funny.Yu Gi Oh The Dark Side Of Dimensions:

Proposal for Awesome.Yu Gi Oh The Dark Side Of Dimensions (the current caption is also kinda backloaded, like wow):

I agree they would be better without in-jokes.
The caption on Animal Jingoism puzzles me; it seems to be a tangent about common knowledge that distracts from it purpose of illustrating the trope. It was added without discussion in 2020. I suggest cutting it.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years. Not even sure how one could validate that assumption. +1 to pull
Hooked a crowner for Fire-Forged Friends.
Bumping to see if I can remove and replace the YGOTAS in-jokes with these captions
.
Just Train Wrong has had its caption unilaterally changed from this:
you'd only be half-right.
To this by Railman 1225
you'd only be half-right. Would've been better than what we got...
Besides it being unilateral, the last part feels like an unnecessary potshot and reeks of complaining (which is coming from someone who isn't too fond of AEG either).
Do I have permission to cut out the last portion?

Is Meido caption a reference to something? What's surprising about an image of a maido on the maido page?
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
Having not watched Steins;Gate, I have to assume it's some kind of reference to the character's personality. It's self-referential, anyway.
Caption options for Tilting Tower of Pisa for a future crowner:
- It seems Norse gods don't respect Romanesque architecture.
- Somehow the "Horizontal Tower of Pisa" doesn't have the same ring to it.
- Loki is a does not likes mortals. Remember that.

I've seen Steins;Gate and I don't exactly get it either. Voting to pull.
Voting for the first option.

Currently semi-active.The caption is a bit too prosaic, and was seemingly added unilaterally a year after the image was suggested
, ignoring the "don't change or remove" marking. If I could make a suggestion just because I'm surprised it isn't being acknowledged:

Thanks for playing King's Quest V!Closed the crowner
for Fire-Forged Friends;
is in and tagged as the caption.

The character's name is "Sahwit", as in he "saw it" (he saw the murder). Ace Attorney has a tradition of making Punny Names out of its one-shot characters to make it clear what their involvement in certain crimes is.
Thanks for playing King's Quest V!Hate to be a Grammar Nazi but then shouldn’t the caption be "he Sahwit" instead of "he’s Sahwit"?
I’ll lift my face, and run to the sunlight.
