This is the thread to use if you feel that the page image itself is good but the caption needs help.
If you think that both the image and the caption are poor, please make a thread in Image Pickin' for the page, and we'll work on the image and caption both at the same time.
As with other TRS and IP threads, please state your reasons and make your case in your first post. Don't make the other posters spend time trying to pry it out of you.

A caption was added to Don't Look Back to credit the source because a page for the work didn't exist when the image was proposed. Now the work does have a page, so I've potholed the image to it. Any point in keeping the caption?
Probably not. Thanks for doing that, by the way.
Requesting a caption for Conan the Barbarian.
I've been studying the Armenian genocide these last few months. And the current caption on the page for The Armenian Genocide is "Notice the skulls."
I'm sure it was not intended as a bad taste joke, but it's so blunt and matter-of-fact it still doesn't feel like it's giving enough weight to an event in history that has disturbed me like few others.
I would rather have a Wikipedia-like caption of "Armenian skeletons scattered across [the name of the city in the photo]".
On NightmareFuel.Primal 2019, a caption was added
. The IP thread had agreed upon the idea that no caption was probably better.
Should the caption be removed?
There was no tag for not adding a caption w/o discussion, the thread was simply closed up. However before it was, there were caption suggestions and then someone suggested no caption to keep with the work's Silence Is Golden aspect, leaving it to the reader's imagination. When that was supported, the thread was locked with no further action.

This thread is about picture captions. Go here

The caption on VideoGame.Initial D Arcade Stage is technically a referential caption to Sega Rally.
While I get the joke, I know referential captions are not allowed, so may I suggest the game's tagline instead?
Regarding the caption for No Party Given (included picture to add context):
The thing is that Leader of the Opposition
is the real life name for the leader of the party not in government in the UK, so it’s not the official name of the political party.
Seem fine. The vast majority of people wouldn't know that, and even within that minority I think it's reasonable to assume most will get that it's a joke.
I'm going to have to agree. The caption seems to hinge on the idea that it's the name of a party, rather than a title given to a party.
At the very least it's as silly as trying to, for example, say "why are they calling that American conservative politician Republican? Conservatives love monarchies".
Plus, y'know, not an example of the trope, so it confuses the definition.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI'm not even British and I'm inclined to agree with the British mods (Edit: One of whom ninja'd me as I was originally typing this) that the caption is bad. (Also, I did get a kick out of the hypothetical caption Bisected posted.)
Edit: Maybe the caption could be changed to "Wait, which party is he the opposition to?" (Mentioned that to the other mods before posting that here since I was initially unsure because I haven't been awake that long, and I think the coffee I had needs more time to work.) Though I'd be fine with just pulling the caption regardless of replacement.
Edit: For clarification, the joke behind my suggestion is based on No Party Given applying to every party in parliament. After checking the example list on the page just now (a few hours after I originally made this post), that does actually appear to be the case in the work that provided the page image (which I have not seen and hadn't heard of until today):
- The Thick of It simply has "The Party" and "The Opposition", but it isn't hard to guess who their real-life equivalents are (Labour and the Tories, respectively). The last series added the "Coalition Partners" (partners to the above-mentioned Opposition, who are now in power). They are clearly the Liberal Democrats.

I got a rock for Halloween. Not Quite Dead has had its caption changed... a few times, from what it seems like, though the most recent thread
for the image decided on:
It was then unilaterally changed to
:
Don't want to dwell too long on it, but I prefer the more insidious version that was originally there before (mainly to match Frieza's irritation), should we revert and make a note to not change it?

The caption for Franchise.Beauty And The Beast Disney is a bit lengthy, may I suggest this:

Does the caption on Reaction Video add anything?
