NGL, I dig the second one, but I think the line starts with "aw", not "ah". That's how I've always heard it, anyway. Minor nitpick though, I'm fine with either one.

I feel like the caption for WesternAnimation.Hazbin Hotel has been changed twice in the last week. And it’s a tagline I don’t remember from the marketing.

I would like to make some captions for Funny page of The Afterparty and the Tearjerker page of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark. So I let you guys decide what you guys think of my captions before I can release it or not.

Here's my first one from Funny.The Afterparty .

Context: The image shows the character named Xavier in a music video. The funny part is that the song from his music video is about him singing about how he's not gonna die when in fact he becomes a murder victim later on, hence the Tempting Fate on this caption.

Here's my second one from TearJerker.My Little Pony Make Your Mark.

Context: The Dragon Misty went to bed and says this before crying because the Big Bad Opaline ( who is her adopted mother) mistreated her.

What do you think guys? Do you guys think that my captions fit the images or not? Or do you have any suggestions?

While I'll admit I'm not exactly a fan of Ant and Dec, I think the caption on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is rather mean-spirited.

The link in the caption for Intimate Healing is dead, much like the original source of the pic. Motion to remove the caption entirely?

So for movies and shows should the caption be something different than what is on the current poster? The one for WesternAnimation.Inside Out 2 caption was switched to a tagline already present on the poster despite me editing the reason for its then current one ("The feel-everything movie of 2024").

Prolly must've been blocked in my country or by my internet provider. I think the link should at least be changed.

I agree with reverting the Inside Out 2 caption to avoid redundancy.

Is the gap on David vs. Goliath between the image and the picture intentional?

Or is that an error? It looks "off". But I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a visual pun on trees being cut down (the caption being "cut" from the image).

EDIT: 8 x Yeah that Ant and Dec caption seems really mean, but also I think that page could do with a new image too.

Pretty sure that's just a formatting mistake. It wasn't selected by thread and doesn't have an edit reason, so I have to assume the troper who added it just left in an unnecessary line break.

Creator.Disney Plus recently had its caption changed to "Where great stories live forever," to match a slogan unveiled for the streamer earlier this week. However, since it's a blatant lie (as mentioned on that very page, a bunch of original shows and movies disappeared last year), could I revert it to the old caption ("Imagine More")?

Alternatively, I could replace the word "forever" with an ellipsis...

It's just a slogan. We should use the official slogan, and we don't have to get snarky about it.

For Alternate Personality Punishment, the character's reaction "Well then... that was... rude." would make a good caption.

I think it's wordy enough that the caption isn't necessary.

The caption of Bizarro Elements was removed for being an unrelated Shout-Out. Does anyone have any ideas for a replacement? The image feels a bit dull by itself, but I can’t think of anything.

I'd like to restore it. It's not unrelated; Avatar: The Last Airbender is about elements. Swapping fire for candy emphasizes that these elements are bizarre.

I agree. I think “but then the fire nation attacked” being a Signature Line that people who’ve never even seen the Avatar show know helps as well.

Agreed, restore the caption. We’re allowed to have fun around here, and “everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked” is far from a niche reference.

On the subject of niche references: Shower of Awkward has a rather generic “wow isn’t this disturbing” caption that’s supposedly from The Loud House… not like you would ever know that out of context.

The caption used to be "Well, this is awkward...", which isn't great but is better than the current. Either way, I support pulling the current.

Yeah, that’s adding nothing to the image. I can’t think of anything specific for a replacement, but maybe a joke about how it’s a sponge taking a shower?
