Puzzle and Dragons

It likely has its pros and cons. I think the SP maximum at end-game is 10, and most skills need at least 2 points, but being able to fire off, say, 5 1500 HP heals in a row is quite useful (when you can only get 3 in a row, that's even better for that time in the game as it could well be most of your health). It also means you don't need to, for example, have two healing monsters just so you can use that particular skill twice or more in the same turn, if you'd rather have only one and the other be a more offensive beast.

But at the same time, you also lose the ability to just have all your monsters use their skills at once, so if you're focussing on something in particular that all your skills revolve around, that might not be practical anymore.

I've decided to try and post the times for the descends asap from now on. Of course i'll fail every once and again. ANYWHO here are today's:

It's worth noting that those times are for the Pacific timezone.

So, I did end up getting an iPhone and have been loving the mobile game. The interface took a little while to get used to, and I keep breaking combos by mistake by moving my stylus (I got one) off the screen, but it's cool, practice will hopefully reduce that.

Got a good couple of first rolls from the REM actually:

• First was Sarutobi Sasuki, a powerful Wood Ninja
• Second though was the real prize: Incarnation of Byakko, Haku! With a skill that changes orbs to dark fire and water, and a leader skill that gives 3.5x attack when those three elements attack together. It's my current leader, and very powerful for the start of the game. I'm trying to get it levelled, so I can evolve it later.

Sasuke is pretty good early game, but your real treasure is Haku. One of the most useful monsters in the game.

Also, sadly, i do not have the EU version of the game.

As someone who has tried to get Haku from several godfests where the Chinese Gods are featured(Haku's pantheon), I envy you. :P

Also have the NA game, so unfortunately I can't add you.

A little research has suggested that Haku is viable late game as a leader. I can only assume it's because of that modifier, which is pretty easy to get, especially with the skill. I can run it as the leader just now, and then evolve it for late-game ass-kicking.

Haku is used more as a sub for stronger leaders like Ronia and Pandora. Or anything Dark devil based, really. But I've seen people use her as a leader to clear dungeons.

Luckily I have Ronia, Pandora, and Haku.

A friend of mine has 3 Haku and that's not fair.

Sounds like my friend who has D/D Haku, D/F Haku, unevolved Haku, and mini Haku. Needless to say, she does not want more. :P

The EU has had some great events for the first week of me playing - I've got 4 Tamadras, a whole load of rare Evo materials (including an Angelit and a Dub Sapphlit) from the PAL egg machine, and there's a player's choice Godfest for one day on Monday. 30 God monsters, dropping at 3 x normal rates - all level 50.

To Hell with my being skint, I can afford some stones for this. Disc-One Nuke for this guy who has just reached the first technical dungeon ahoy!

I rolled 7 times in the Players' Choice Godfest and these were my results.

• Ifrit level 6 (+1 RCV)
• Red Wizard Chester level 6 (+1 HP)
• Undine the Water Elemental level 6 (+1 HP)
• Storm Dragon Mistrain level 17 (+1 RCV)
• Kurone level 15 (+1 RCV)

Oh, and two others...

• Yomi, level 50, +1 HP
• Bastet, level 50, +1 RCV

The others are fairly meh (though by no means terrible - they weren't Golems or anything) but those last two, wow. Yomi polled second in the player's choice, and at level 50 she's ready to evo as soon as I get the materials. I even already have two Keepers of Dark from the PAL egg machine.

eh.

sooner or later i'll get enough points to put everyone i want in my party.

I managed to scrounge another 5 rare stones - and only got a Grimrock I've kinda plateaued, and it's not helping that thanks to the Pal machine Evo fest most of my storage is full of Evo materials I won't be able to use for weeks. Don't get me wrong it's great to have them now, but it means I can't feed efficiently as I need to keep the box space free for new monsters all the time.

Oh well, if I can keep winning small battles, I can rank up to the point where I can use the likes of Yomi and Bastet in my regular team. Still leading with Haku for the skill and multiplier for now.

Holy epic patch Batman! Big updates! Perhaps the biggest is that they've stopped pretending people actually play the game blind without using a guide - ultimate evolution is now possible through the normal menu, and you can see the requirements. Even if you do it the old way, materials flash yellow.

You can also automatically see what materials you need for regular evolution even if you've not encountered that monster yet - and what you evolve into (this also extends to Ultimate Evos).

Liking that a lot!

In my own game I've found myself capable of comfortably beating the Tuesday expert dungeons to get Keepers of the tri-colours. I came agonisingly close to getting a Keeper of Gold on the penultimate level of one of the three, only to get orb-trolled and not have the healing orbs needed to endure an attack (right now they halve my health). Also, I forgot that skills had been rotated, so the Angelit I'm using no longer has the "turn whole board to hearts" skill.

I then had another Oh, Crap! moment when on my next attempt, Floor 1 was an invade by a Keeper of Darkness, but I eventually came through with a couple of Haku skills and a lot of stalling and healing, and won the dungeon.

Sadly my skill does not extend to the Wednesday dungeon, as I can't take the Divine Masks yet. Shame as I only need an Onyx mask to be able to evolve Yomi. But then, rank 40 players really aren't supposed to have a level 50 Yomi, so I can hardly complain.

I've kinda plateaued right now so need to do some heavy grinding to get my rank and therefore team cost up, so that I can use my heaviest hitters. Not having good Water based friends doesn't help as I can't touch Ifrit right now. I do have Water Wizard Sharon ready to evo...but I still need to give her another 14 levels which is going to take a lot of grinding. I'll get there...eventually.

So I tried to beat Sandalphon today. Used Verdandi with an Artemis friend leader, since there were no Awoken Parvatis available. Made it to Sandalphon, and forgot that Ceres can't clear binds completely in awoken form, so the god bind screwed me over.

I played the eshop demo. No way I'm paying €30 for this, especially when the Android version (which isn't available in my country?....) is free.

Free-to-play, I know, but still, Nintendo needs a reality check with their eshop prices. :/

Europe is ios only unfortunately. No idea why.
