Had to scrap one of my older fighters and got myself a tier 2 all rounder. Can I ever have more than three fighters at a time?

Also can I ever repair gear or restock on gun ammo? If I run out should I just sell it and buy another one?

As far as I can tell, it's not possible to repair any of your gear - you have to either sell or discard it when the time comes, or just continue using it until it breaks.

You can upgrade the amount of characters stored in the freezer by going to the Tokyo Death Metro terminal, looking under Wait Room, and then under Buy Equipment. You'll see the option to increase the freezer's space there, but be warned that it costs alot of SPI Lthium. Hence why you'll eventually have to start doing the Tokyo Death Metro raids yourself to keep supplied.

All righty. I'm hanging around the lower levels upgrading my new fighter for now, I'll head to the surface again once I'm all nice and stocked up.

What an odd game this is. I like it though, Uncle Death is great.

I... didn't know this was still being made. "Lily Bergamo" apparently got canned and remade into this.

Let It Die is shaping up to be a slightly less smooth handling Dark Souls mixed with permadeath,

...ugh.

I was about to ask if it's anything like No More Heroes or if it's more Killer Is Dead. It seems closer to the latter.

And like that I've lost all interest.

Its pretty good honestly. Try it for yourself, first.

Also, keep in mind that since No More Heroes 2, Suda 51 actually hasn't directed anything at Grasshopper since then, only executive produced them,

It's free, I'd definitely give a try. I'm having fun.

How high can you upgrade blueprints? And are there specific spots to look for particular materials or is it random?

I need stuff for my guns. I need guns.

[up]I'd say it's mostly random, but certain ingredients do have a tendency to spawn more frequently on specific floors. For example Ikegara (the very first floor you visit in the game) tends to spawn tons of frogs and aluminum scraps, whereas the more complex stuff such as MDF wood planks will only appear on floors 11 and above.

Still though, I haven't figured out a decent enough pattern to figure out which are the prime hunting spots for the more rarer materials, such as the rare green metals.

Also, many of the necessary ingredients for the improved weapons won't appear on the lower floors, period. So don't be surprised if you don't find the schematic for the Glinty Magnum or Nail Gun for some time.

EDIT: The KAMAS assault rifle's not a bad unlock once you get it. Try playing with it for a bit, that way you can upgrade it's damage, range, etc; it'll stay useful even when you reach the Candle Wolf territory.

Funnily enough, that's why I'm asking. I need oil and aluminum for it. Also need veneer planks for my magnum development.

I've noticed after +4 it turns into E. Is that the highest grade? I haven't actually gotten anything to E yet so I can't see beyond it.

From what I understand there's yet another upgrade level past E, and it seems to apply to all of the items. I've already upgraded my Hammer to the highest E level, and yet another upgrade tier has appeared - yet unsurprisingly, due to the difficulty in tracking down the newest tier's required resources, I've had to put that to a halt. It's gonna start costing a LOT of SPI Lthium and crafting materials after a certain point.

Also, from what I've read online, it might actually be the Star rating that's the best way to determine just how far you can upgrade a certain item. For example, the hammer starts out at 1 star, but can be eventually upgraded to 3 stars, but no higher. Yet the Candle Wolf magic flame torch starts at 3 stars, and can be upgraded to 5 stars max. Basically, the items in the game can only be upgraded by 2 stars, and nothing more beyond that.

EDIT: I believe you're asking about the vegetable oil. That stuff's all over the place on the 12th and 13th floors, along with the MDF wood and copper wire bunches.

Oh, and you might've already figured this out, but the 11th floor is a prime farming area for the valuable pill bugs, who drop the lifesavershroom when killed, and the only obstacle is a single Hater (albeit an often over-leveled one sad ). That stuff's a godsend when dealing with the higher-damage enemies in the game.

Lifesaver shroom? I've honestly never killed a pillbug and don't really use many mushrooms at all. What's that one do?

And I'm starting to think I should start using them more often. I'm a bit put off by the clunkyish way of doing it though

Think of it as a "second chance" spell: any time your HP reaches zero, it immediately prevents you from dying and gives you an emergency 25% HP, which you'll absolutely need when dealing with over-powered haters wielding machetes. And when grilled, that HP boost is increased to 50%. And best of all, the lifesaver mushroom doesn't wear off until you either quit the game or switch fighters, meaning you can simply eat one anytime and not have to worry about it timing out until gets triggered by running out of HP.

One thing though... you have to KILL the pillbug first, not grill it. It won't spawn the shroom until it's been smashed, and only then can you grill the shroom. Best way to do that is to stomp on it when it's not curled up into a ball, wait until it has the "stunned" stars above it, and then quickly pull out a gun and shoot the sucker (a single bullet will suffice from any weapon). I find it far too annoying to target and kill with the melee weapons, plus striking the ground actually decreases their durability.

EDIT: Another useful mushroom is the one you get from killing snails. That one in particular grants you temporary immunity against poison, fire, and electric damage, but it wears out and is obviously rather situational.

Oh, and yet another thing! Keep a fireworks launcher in your inventory at all times. That sucker is the easiest way to deal with the poison snails or other speedy animals that you just want to grill and eat, since the firework shots immediately kill and grill the creatures upon impact.

[up]You think that's bizarre? There's a chick named the Mushroom Magistrate, who pole-dances like a stripper in her vendor kiosk, is completely insane, wears a large, mushroom-shaped wig, and sells "tattoos" augmented with the various unusual mushroom types she's encountered in the Tower of Barbs which function similar to perks or upgrades once placed on your skin.

Oh, and the first major boss is a redneck D.I.Y enthusiast who was crazy enough to dismember his arms and place them on his head WHILE HE WAS STILL A KID AND MAKE IT WORK, who also happens to be piloting a bizarre power armor made of flesh and various mechanical stuff he found lying around (including an excavator).

For a game where Suda 51 wasn't directly involved, the plot sure shows signs of it.

Oh sweet, I got full auto on the assault rifle now. This is much better.

Still desperately need vegetable oil and stuff though. At least I'm finding planks to upgrade my magnum. Which I just got level 20 with.

Man, the PSN Store page lied. >_<#

"*Online multiplayer requires a Play Station®Plus membership.

Online Play (Required)"

...But it doesn't actually have MP and PS+ isn't required at all. So I've been putting off playing this AND ended up renewing my subscription for nothing.

I've heard reports though that PS+ is not actually required to play the game, though. The store page is worded such that it is, however.

Also I am enjoying the hell out of this, just kinda mad I put it off so long because of the misleading store page. XD

I'm beginning to wonder just what the heck is up with the premium elevator lady, Ms. Rin Torai. Every now and then she comes up with some absolutely bizarre statements, to the point where I'm beginning to wonder if she's supposed to be some sort of clue as to what the outside world really is like. The most important of all the weird statements being "I am the sole survivor of the Earth Rage".

Just check out the Youtube vid below to see what I mean:

Knowing almost nothing about this game, I downloaded it.

Freaked me out when the controller started talking, no idea it did that.

One REALLY handy tip I just discovered: if you combine the Poison Eater tattoo that you get from the Mushroom Magistrate and carry around the poison-emitting snails, you essentially get a free-healing boost that will last as long as you are in the poisoned condition. All you need to do is throw one of the snails on the ground, wait for it to start emitting the poison, and presto, you'll start healing!
