I could totally see that as a blu-ray bonus feature: that is, scenes from the previous movies with knuckles poorly photoshopped in.

I was thinking that maybe if they make a third movie, it would focus on Metal Sonic or maybe Amy Rose. Probably the title might be "Sonic the Hedgehog 3D," in reference to Sonic CD? Just thinking...

I’m expecting them to composite the Metal Sonic we know into the plot of Sonic 3 when they do it, replacing Mecha Sonic.
In fact, a merger of CD’s plot and S3’s plot would probably work very well.

I do wonder what that car chase scene could be about. Is Sonic trying to chase a criminal or has Robotnik come back to Earth to rob a bank? Can't wait to see how this chase scene plays out in the movie!

I do wonder if Tails is seriously going to be driving that truck. I mean, it would make sense for his character since he can fly a plane and pilot a mech machine.

In the set of Sonic 2, there's a helicopter with "SA-2" and a big "G" on it, harkening back to G.U.N. from Sonic Adventure 2!

Probably just another easter egg rather than any implication about the movie's plot, though.

I'm actually kind of hopeful we'll get GUN in 2; it wouldn't be hard to include them given how small-scale Robotnik's work was in the first one and how limited the government's involvement was. Just retcon them in, I wouldn't complain.
