I wonder what the gameplay style will be. if you're a mechanic, maybe it'll be like...a car customizing option?
The Protomen enhanced my life. That was my thought when I heard it was called Project Spiral in development, which made me think of Banjo-Kazooie's Spiral Mountain. XD
The Protomen enhanced my life.Everything is open world now, lol.
But for real, what I'm hoping is that the world design mostly takes its cues from the ending areas of OE and ROTM where you're actually making your way through an actual location rather than just a series of floating obstacles courses. I have no doubt there will be some areas like that, but it would be nice to see a larger, more cohesive area with the platforming and combat sections incorporated into it.
Reaction Image Repositoryi love how Nintendo basically went "oh we're not doing anything for the 10th anniversary month, WE'RE DOING SHIT FOR PRIDE MONTH BABYYYYYY"
Welcome, my little friend! Or should I say...friends?I've always thought a balance between "arbitrary level boxes" and challenges integrated into a larger world, like how Mario Odyssey did it, would work great for Splatoon. They already do it to a degree, all that really needs to change is making the hub world into something much larger and more meaningful than a glorified level select with light platforming.
All Splatland Collection weapon kits have been revealed
. Even though REEF-LUX 450 MIL-K's kit is really good (Torpedo, Booyah Bomb), I've spent so much time and effort on the perfectly capable vanilla kit that I can't even think of switching off it despite MIL-K's kit — when it comes to ranked modes, MIL-K should theoretically be better than the So Okay, It's Average vanilla kit.
As for what the existence of third kits has changed what I will use — after the Friday the 13th Big Run:
Undercover Sorella Brella > Patternz Undercover Brella (holy shit I can't pass up the opportunity of an Undercover with a decent special)
Inkbrush > Inkbrush Nouveau (sadge)
Painbrush Nouveau > Painbrush BRN-Z (thankfully no sub/special overlap)
No more Torp for me though
If Sheldon's Picks somehow comes back I might be likely to drop Heavy Splatling Deco for Heavy Splatling Remix depending on what kit they give it. (please be Splash Wall and Booyah Bomb/Triple Inkstrike)

"You can't spell 'Wario' without 'war'."Actually, I might hold off on Patternz Undercover Brella (and the third kits in general) until Fandom VIP ProChara does a weapon tier list for the upcoming update tonight because there's a likely chance he's going to rank it under Undercover Sorella Brella. (and vanilla kit is going to get first place in terms of undercover kits)

"You can't spell 'Wario' without 'war'."I feel like Patternz might end up being the best of the three kits, just because Curling gives you good mobility to alleviate the range issue and the Killer Wail 5.1 can help chip people to death in closer firefights or assist with exits, and because Reefslider spam isn't as potent for Splat Zones as it used to be... but like the other two kits, I think it's held back by Undercover itself.
@FGHIK: That was my thought as well, although I was thinking more along the lines of Bowser's Fury than Odyssey, though either would be fine.
Reaction Image RepositoryHaving done a 0-hack run with Eight's Pallet, here are my tips.
- Prioritise Lucky Bombs above all else. If a floor offers a Lucky Bomb chip, get it.
- If you have at least 1500 membux, use the vending machine and buy at least two chips. Don't use vending machines if you can't afford at least two chips.
- If a floor offers two color chips, pick that one.
- After that, your priority is Piercing, because that is basically a damage multiplier.
- Your next priority is chips that boost attack power, range, and firing speed.
- Homing is good to get but not super essential.
- Don't bother with drone upgrades; Pearl won't be doing much.
Also, if you're just aiming for low-hack and not no hack, the extra life id the best one.
