Anyone who doesn't pick Waffles is a cop.
The polarizing started so fast
if im a cop THEN YOURE UNDER ARREST YA WAFFLEIST
I'm torn again. And yet there's no option for cereal.
ANY ANSWER BESIDES WAFFLES IS HERESY
They actually have texture.
Also I might finally switch over to playing as a male character when I ascend to the top I will be:
Waffles, they go great with syrup and ice cream :V
I must admit, I've had many more waffles than pancakes in truth. I may actually participate honestly, and with the current track record, I might just have a chance.
Although that's still probably just coincidence.

Well, this one is a tough choice. I like eating both about equally. I'm leaning towards waffles, since I'm better at making them than at making pancakes - but by "making" waffles, I mean "putting some Eggos in the toaster".
On the other hand, I have a story about the last time I tried to make pancakes. You may want to grab a drink or some snacks for this one.
It was around this time last year, when my mother was in the hospital, and then rehab, due to complications from gallbladder removal surgery for a combined two months. While I've been holding down a steady job since graduating college, I had been living with Mom for my entire life, well into adulthood. This was the first time I'd ever had to fend for myself for an extended period of time. One of my greatest fears in life had been whether I'd be able to take care of myself if something happened to Mom
and something happened to Mom.
For the most part, that fear proved unfounded. I wrote out and mailed the checks for the utility bills, washed dishes and did other chores. For the most part, I handled this challenge quite well. I even tried expanding the range of things I could cook. The results there were more mixed.
So, I bought a box of pancake mix, and one morning I tried making them, following the recipe on the box. The trouble began when I realized the bowl I was mixing the ingredients in would not be able to hold all the resulting batter, so I had to get a bigger bowl, pour what I'd started on into that bigger bowl, then add the rest of the ingredients to that. And even then, there was barely enough room in the bigger bowl for it all. That's when it dawned on me as I stood alone in the kitchen; the recipe on the box was meant to feed an entire family!
Next came the actual cooking. As I poured the batter onto the pan, I'd misjudged how much batter to use per pancake, and they started flowing into each other as they heated up, with me now trying desperately to stop them from combining into one giant, unflappable flapjack of doom. even after flipping them, stopping the half-cooked pancakes from expanding into each other was a struggle. When I started to smell something burning, I decided to stop there.
On the one hand, the pancakes I had managed to make were a bit overdone, but not to the point of being inedible. On the other, I made a mess of the kitchen and still had a lot of unused batter left over. I'd considered saving it to make more pancakes later with, but my friends told me that raw pancake batter can go bad quickly, so I ended up having to dump the extra batter down the kitchen sink's drain into the garbage disposal.
Later, while visiting Mom at the rehab center, I told her this story, and she told me that, not only did we already have pancake mix, the kind she had was one where you only needed to add water to it, unlike the mix I bought, which also required milk and eggs. That would've been helpful to know sooner.

I forgot we weren't on Reddit for a moment and legitimately expected that story to end with your dad beating you with a set of jumper cables.
Reddit has a whole sub dedicated to weird or longwinded comments
My current favourite Splatoon fanartists (disclaimer: Some of them do R34): Conomi C5, Eromame, Hizake, Colodraws, 3D Rod, JT Veemo

More specifically, there's a guy on reddit who was infamous for posting long, involved comments about things that looked like they were relevant to the subject at hand, but would always end with him being beaten with jumper cables.
I call it: Best and Breakfast
I'm not sure I like or dislike the new stage. On the one hand, the mix of Splat Zones and Turf War is a really cool idea.
On the other hand design wise I feel like it makes it too easy to aggressive: the home side doesn't really have as much of a positional advantage against the away team if a rush happens, so it's easy for an invading team to simply take over the opponent spawn and turn the game from turf to "don't die." Which, having been on both sides of that, is less fun. And people are cottoning onto this, so it seems like everybody is just trying to rush immediately rather than get a full inking.
On the flipside, the design makes it easy for one squid to be a difference, and on more than one occasion I've won a game for my side by writing off the invading side as a lost cause, ignoring them, and taking over the rest of the stage while they're busy trying to shut down my team.

I feel like the concept is solid, but would work better if it didn't have such a bottleneck in the middle. Like you said, it's way too easy for one team to get an advantage early on.
The Pancake Hegemony shall never bend to those Waffle... Rebels.
After my first 7 Pro Mode matches for Team Waffle, I'm off to an ok start. I'm 2-4 against Team Pancake and 1-0 in mirror matches, with a starting Waffle Power of 1962.9.
