"Tron" is also a sort of naming convention in SF though, Name-Tron. That's pretty evocative of technology and science. It may not explicitly elicit the image of Glowing Neon Lines would as a name, but it's hardly a stretch for a non-viewer to think "technology with lines", which links pretty well once they click and see the page image.
This is also an old trope, so the grandfather clause may apply. And at 463 wicks it's hardly struggling. Does it have any misuse issues?

I think Tron Lines might be a pre-established term. We didn't name it, the trope already had that name.

Earnest - I don't think so, I don't really see how an appearance trope as simple as this could be misused.
m8e, Septimus - I didn't realise that. If it's a pre-existing term like Mickey Mousing then grandfather clause probably does apply.
I'm sorry, I guess I should have done some more research before starting this. I may have jumped the gun a bit.

I'm pretty sure this falls under "Character-Named Trope" as outlined on the Administrivia page. Someone who's never seen TRON will have no idea what it means. A simple rename to Cyber Lines would probably fix it and would evoke the image for even someone who's never seen TRON.
Usage statistics show less than a thousand inbound, and Cyber Lines is, apparently, already a redirect, although a completely unused one.
