Important note:
- This thread is for discussing individual self-demonstrating character pages. However, it was determined that consensus regarding whether such pages are or aren't necessary or beneficial to the wiki needs to be determined before discussing individual pages, as stated in this mod statement
, so this thread has been locked in the meantime. Please join the policy discussion in this thread
on the Wiki Talk forum.
However, this deletion hints that rules should be in place for self-demonstrating character pages, so does anyone have suggestions for what the rules should be?
I have a few:
- Deadpool has one, no questions asked (even if everyone else's are deleted). Especially Charizard's.
- The character must be able to speak English (or other intelligible languages), except for Rule of Funny (like with Groot's page). Charizard violated this rule. Kyoko's page is fine since she'd be speaking Japanese, for example, which is simply "translated" for reader convenience (largely based on the official subtitles).
- There can be a forum thread where people can post their drafts and suggestions for character pages, similar to the Fanon Pokédex. In this case, new character pages can't be started without being reviewed in the thread. This is to avoid having the wiki oversaturated with pages for characters with boring personalities (like Shu Ouma) or ones with strange speech patterns that aren't for Rule of Funny purposes like Charizard. I can just imagine the chaos that would have ensued if other tropers had decided to follow my lead and create Pokémon Speak pages for about 30 other species of Pokémon.
Any thoughts?

I personally like Bray Wyatt's and would like to see it come to reality.
Let me clarify the above, I didn't write that cameo to imply The Fiend could beat Makima. It was just mostly for kicks, a fun little cameo with a bit of mind screwyness that suppose to make you say "What the hell just happened?" more than anything.
I honestly ain't looking to step on anyone's toes at the end of the day.
Anyone wanna start Gojo's entry? I'd happily add and contribute, it just kinda feels like I lost that "spark" that I had for the page, mainly because I'm focusing on Makima's Legion of Doom.
Also Scott Steiner should ABSOLUTELY join one of the villain teams, either Makima's or Hades'. And maybe give him a role in killing Barney on his page too.
BTW that Makima cameo vs. the Fiend was handled brilliantly. Especially with the lack of dialogue.

I'm actually relieved that you liked how I handled it. Like I said earlier, I got no interest in stepping on anyone's toes and I had the scene in my head, but would've removed/heavily edited it if you asked. I can tell you got something in mind for everything and I'm more than open to just going with the flow. I always intended Wyatt to be a Plot-Irrelevant Villain anyways, no involvement with Makima beyond that cameo (unless you wanna do something then go for it).
I've been moving more towards Scott getting involved with Hades (possibly to the point of a potential Odd Friendship). There's Hades bringing him back to life for kicks and outright trying to get Hades' help to escape the Fun House somehow.

Thanks, I honestly would if I knew a little more about pro wrestling. I also want to avoid making Makima into a Villain Sue who just overpowers everyone and everything and gets away with it. One idea I had is that Vader, while he respects Makima more than he respects Palpatine, ultimately doesn't want a master at all and might betray her at some point.
That said, I have no problem making Starwalker into a Parody Sue.
Oh, it's already being troped on the index.

All of the yes. I like the idea of Starwalker being the anti-Barney just because they're so damn weird.
Now, my idea was that Starwalker was a Man of Kryptonite specifically for Barney, but we've already seen hints of them having power over other things (like Cerberus) and they're extremely overpowered in A Different Snowgrave so I think something like that could work. I just don't think Makima should disintegrate/explode on the spot like Barney would (Cerberus didn't, after all). It'd probably be a Darkest Hour moment where Makima's Legion of Doom has conquered all the heroes and she's just about to rip Pochita from Denji's body once again, but then someone in Megatron's army that he completely forgot about pops up and betrays him to turn against both teams...
Starwalker would probably cause Makima to die from an information overload in her brain similar to Gojo in the Death Battle video (something Gojo would try again if he gets a page, but fail because Makima knows what's coming). And then with Makima gone, all of the villains turn against each other and their entire power structure collapses.

Check out The TV Tropes Character Crossover War! Moving to a new home soonNow if Sauron had a page won’t it be hilarious to find out Makima literally got him out of his job?
Like he’s all about absolute order… and then this Japanese chick made it so easy. Probably will lead the other villain team because he refuses to oneupped.
"Come on Zero. Fight me. It feels so good :3"holy darn I was not expecting the Self-Demonstrating pages to have this much lore, let alone Cerebus Syndrome

I've been working on the sandbox section for Hank Hill, and I randomly thought of the anti-climax "once and for all" defeat of Makima involving him somehow (and maybe James May as well), but that'd depend on if it were to become a page. And maybe Hank could get involved with Roz's super team too.
Edited by DongwaChan on Oct 9th 2024 at 4:28:14 AM
You have to kill Tomura Shigaraki and All For One alongside that because they'll take up the Evil Power Vacuum when another Big Bad disappears (as per the canon).
Edited by commentspaee on Oct 9th 2024 at 10:06:20 AM
Nah, the way Makima works is that she's invincible to any damage and just offloads it onto a random Japanese citizen, which can only be prevented via killing her with an "act of love" (i.e. Denji eating her)
So it'd either have to be something like that, something with huge collateral damage like Gojo killing her in Death Battle, or something silly like with Starwalker.

YES, just as long as we have a way to protect or revive the people in Japan that she offloads the brain damage to (maybe Merged Hulk can do another Blip)
At this point, she's probably made the same contract with various planets.

i say if we get that maybe its time to give a sandbox folder their own page dawns already got hers so
