Oh. Sorry. Its same genre as Endless Space, aka 4X. Turn based and stuff.
So, if Endless Space is basically Master Of Orion, Endless Legend is then Master Of Magic.

There is that other spin off Dungeon of the Endless that is also in early access and is roguelike combined with tower defense... And prequel to Endless Legends since it shows the origin of Vaulters: They are descendants of survivors of prison ship that crashed on Auriga. Endless Legends also takes place before Endless Space.
^Well, what do you then call it when its basically same game but with different "genre"? Endless Space is scifi. Endless Legends is "fantasy". It obviously has major differences in gameplay due to not being set in place, but its not different series or prequel or anything. Its even called spinoff in the trope page hence why I used the term.

I don't think there's any rule against it. They're basically in beta, and I've seen beta games with pages.
So, I decided to try this out since I recently got a gift card thing. It took me quite a while to realize that I had no idea what was going on. It looks deceptively similar to other games I've played (ie: Civilization V), but it's quite different. I think I'll start a new game so I don't drive all my cities to rebellion through constant growth. Unless you're supposed to do that? Obviously this only a problem because they haven't finished making the tutorial yet.
Also, how in the world do you level up town centers or districts? I got a quest to do that but I can't find out how.
I think approval mechanics works exactly like in Endless Space, so if you expand too fast(or maybe its just case of whether you have tech that lower expansion disapproval) then approval rating is really low.
From what I understood, you need to surround a district by four other districts.
Anyway, so umm, can you give me feedback on my competition entry? I'm wondering what I could have done better.
.....Okay, I have come to conclusion that Amplitude is really stupid company and they don't really listen their community. At least judging by how much effort they put into their community competition.
I understand that when there are 99 entries, there might be difficulties through checking them all.... But WHEN THERE IS FRICKING 14.... How the hell you manage to miss that one of 15 entries isn't an entry and is instead an reply to another person's entry?
Goddangit, Buzz's reply to me has more votes than my entry during first hours D: And my only vote came from me.
BTW, vote
for Telum :P His ideas are awesomeness, I voted it as well.

Wait, that is a problem? .-. I like it that it doesn't have manual battles.
Though apparently the ES isn't really balanced game and a lot of people were put off by how Amplitude hasn't bothered to balance it. At least thats what people on some other forums are saying. Its kinda weird to see that different userbases have vastly different opinions
Huh? I was talking about Endless Space as well ._.;
I also agree it would be nice if battles were more cinematic in EL as well.

So what's everyone's favorite faction?
Right now, mine's the Broken Lords. I like playing the City State game where you build up a single city as high as you can. It's really fun. I built one city up until it takes 5,000 Dust just to get a population point, then I built a settler and made a coastal city in another province to pull in more dust. Just waiting to get Rookery tech so I can hire another Broken hero to get that city mass producing Dust as well. My income is around 500 a turn. A bit more, actually, but I forget the exact number.
And I have Tier 2 Titanium gear all around, as well as the Dust Priests, so I've got ranged capability. My armies can actually shred anything they run into right now. Which is way better than where we started, with losing at least one person against every battle.

Well, I guess its not technically fantasy spin off since magic is really nanobots, but what have you.
Anyway, its been in Steam early access and its quite playable despite computer lacking good AI :)
There is now going on forum voting poll for community created Major Faction and I have participated in it as well so umm... Well, if you like my idea
, I'd appreciate it.
Even if you don't like my idea, if you are interested in this game and planning to get it, this is a chance to influence what will be one of 8 factions in the game. Here is the poll.
