If we can make clay blocks without a kiln (and I can't remember, I've been spoiled by magma forges for too long), then we have an unending supply of material and a building material that might not be the sturdiest, but is better than nothing.
"...An overfed, long-haired, leaping gnome..." - Eric Burdon/WarOk we have a bolt hole burrowed into the side of the hill. Individual homes are being built outside in blocks. They will be two floor tenement type houses. There should be some clay somewhere but we have no shortage of sand.
The current local has Emus, pike in the river, and shell fish. Or trade economy is a bit on the weak side currently. Mostly animal bits craft junk. That is to keep our wealth low enough until we can build a better foritifed site and get the exterior city set up.
Who watches the watchmen?I have an idea for a pointless superweapon, a Walking Tank that uses a railgun
to fire lava at the elv- wait do we even hate the elves anymore as humans?

Yup. It means even the goblins can travel faster.
