Season 3 is starting and the first episode is out online as a promotion for the rest of the season.
Holy shit. They brought Patti Lu Pone back in a new role. Didn't see that coming and, once again, she stole the fucking scene.
The Zoologist guy seemed pretty interesting. Despite the morbid nature of his conversation, he was still pretty charming.

And the Season ends with a conclusion of 'The End'. And the showrunner came out and said that the series is complete. No more. The show will forever be 3 seasons.
T.S. Eliot was wrong. The world has ended simultaneously with a bang and a whimper.
I can't help but say I'm horribly disappointed with Season 3. It left a half-baked taste in my mouth and longing for so much more.
Might be a bit strong, but Penny Dreadful, as much as I love it, could be listed as 'They Wasted Perfectly Good Plots AND Characters: The TV Show".
I wish I had known it was ending before watching the finale. I really loved this show. There were some really great episodes this season. But all throughout Ethan was supposed to protect/save her and he kills her? Really, what a screwed up ending. As long as it was over for good why not have him save her. Im just so pissed...
Where was the Ethan who was in the same situation in Season 1 who REFUSED to kill her when she begged for death?
Spinoff in development[1]
True. Caliban's always been... just there, unless he's interacting with Victor.
My thinking with Dorian is he is actually just heartless. He's an immortal hedonist; he's done everything to excess so now all he cares about is the new. He got bored of Angelique so had no problem offing her when an undead waltzed into his life. I think he's going all Monster Race just because he's never done it before.
