Why the hypotheticals when The Guava Juice Show
and Oddballs
are current or upcoming projects based on current YouTubers?
Celebrity Toons never truly went away (Kevin Hart just announced a 3DCG cartoon
that's also a vehicle for NFTs;). Some are just a little less obvious about it, like being producers and voicing characters that are reasonably distinct from themselves.
In response
to the sudden content removals, which are also affecting their HBO Max availability, some internet sleuths are asking HBO Max's help desk for answers
. A really new reality show, Final Bloom, was also removed after being promoted for three days.
Merger shenanigans, unsurprisingly, that don't make any sense.
Discovery+ will probably be the one rolled into HBO Max, as that's the significantly more popular one.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonCartoon Network and HBO Max recently announced a new Nigerian-centric series heading to their platforms: Iyanu: Child of Wonder
“Iyanu: Child of Wonder” is a superhero tale set in the magical kingdom of Yorubaland, which draws from Nigerian culture, music and mythology. The series follows Iyanu, a teenage orphan who spends her days studying Yoruba history and ancient arts but yearns for a normal life. One day, responding to danger, she unknowingly triggers her divine powers, the likes of which have not been seen since the Age of Wonders. With newly discovered superpowers, Iyanu joins forces with two other teenagers as they embark on a remarkable journey to discover the truth about the evil lurking in her homeland. Throughout her adventure, she’ll uncover the truth about her past, her parents, and her ultimate destiny to save the world.
The "What's In My Head" podcast will have the first President of Cartoon Network, Betty Cohen, as a guest. On their Twitter

After seeing their work on Steven Universe and OK KO, does anyone want to see Studio TRIGGER do the overseas animation for an ENTIRE show for CN?
Speaking of Cow and Chicken, creator David Feiss was recently interviewed by Cartoon Brew
.
Interestingly, he's of the opinion that he could pull off the show in today's environment, noting how there are other projects with similar or further pushes into surreal material. He wouldn't mind it being in 3DCG either, as he felt his designs in Open Season: Scared Silly were translated fine.

Neat news for both shows! In retrospect, Craig got really lucky to have Kid Cosmic out the door at Netflix before it could get screwed, and the show's one of his best works. I have some strong optimism for him.
CN Europe Hanna-Barbera Europe is slowly getting hand their hands full with these two revivals, Wacky Races, the Gumball movie and spin-off, and their original series Ivandoe.
Also, it seems Craig teased the news in plain sight back in April
.
I recall the Sam Register interview implying that he's willing to fill in the gap left by Netflix, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of those cases.

Dear God
-hands folded-
Please don't let them revive revive the powerpuff girls again!Even if Craig is actually involved this time,I've seen what happens to something that keeps getting raised from the dead too many times, they come back wrong!
Not sure about Foasters though, this would be their first resurrection and I don't know
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverThe article says it's going to be geared as a preschool show (likely for Cartoonito) which is... weirdly relieving, actually? The premise of Foster's Home fits that tone already and by nature that, and having a new cast, would both eliminate some of the issues people have with later seasons of the original (mainly Bloo's Comedic Sociopathy getting ramped up).
Not to say it won't be sharp as a tack when it comes to humor, though. "Preschool show" nowadays seems to be less about being an Edutainment Show and more about being light on the tone and premise compared to other cartoons.
