Well, the ferry was part of a plan that Stark didn’t tell Peter about while the cargo plane was an attack that Tony didn’t think would happen and left it to be unmanned with no drone suits to be used as security as a precaution.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Rogue One implied for next week based on the E.T. video description and TLJ coming out next week.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?If he sins much past the start of the battle I will lose respect for him. I expect 200 sins for everything before that though.
I expect sins off for that scene of Darth Vader casually murdering a bunch of people in the hallway, but nothing else.
It's been 3000 years…Well it was far harsher than I was expecting and not in the areas I was expecting as well....
At least it didn't contain much in the way of blatant factual errors.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I thought he was pretty fair with it to be frank.
Pretty good video, but Yavin 4 is "this place"? Really?
Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a choreNew Jumanji coming out soon, so here's Jumanji
You don't really get to say "Oh, this place again?" when that was the Rebel base until just after the Battle of Yavin. That's just outright ignoring continuity.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The problem with Jumanji is that it was conceived completely by investor groups on what is hip and trendy in 2017.
I would have liked to see more done with Jumanji, but not this sequel thing that's coming out. Like, half of the fun of Jumanji is the havoc it wreaks on a quiet and unsuspecting suburb. By its very premise, the new movie has none of that.
That's like announcing a Star Wars movie that will take place entirely in a single neighborhood of Coruscant and feature no space travel or aliens.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Shame you feel that way. I just saw an advanced preview of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle last weekend here in England, and it was actually kinda fun.
The concensus I'm hearing is that this "sequel" (it's not one) is very good, so I'm relieved about that. It's just that it clearly has nothing to do with the book, has an entirely different tone, and doesn't seem like it's for me.

I'll agree that the tone is different and outside of the titular game the film has nothing to do with the book, but the film is a sequel.
The film has a brief prologue set one year after Jumanji where we see someonelse find the game and the game transform itself from a board game to a videogame, and Alan Parrish is briefly mentioned, with the jungle from the videogame implied to be the same jungle he was trapped in for years.
I remember that there used to be a cartoon where instead of the game coming out into the real world, the characters went into the Jumanji world and got trapped there. Maybe this is something similar?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Oh okay. thanks for the info I didn't know that at all. ... but really? A board game actually "transforms"?
It took me a while to realize why this film, which should have been familiar to me, was not. It's because I never actually watched it, but was confusing it with Zathura. In fairness, the titles are both three-syllable nonsense words and both are about supernatural board games, so...
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Both are by the same author too.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? One thing Jeremy only sort of touches on (in his rant about the rules), the turn order makes no sense.
Sarah goes first: she roll the bat
Alan goes, he gets sucked in the game
Judy rolls 6, gets the mosquitos
Peter rolls 2 (Gets doubles so extra turn), get Monkeys
Peter rolls again (Releases Alan).
Judy rolls again, gets the Lion
Judy tries to roll, but nothing happens, Alan realises they need Sarah because it's her turn. But the game clearly allowed Judy to go out of turn already. Furthermore, if Alan had not been freed, what would happen on his turn?
Furthermore, when you add the numbers everyone got, and the number they claim they need to win, those don't add up. Judy actually rolls more than what Peter says he needs to win, but does not in fact in. Sarah rolls a 6, 7 - needs 12 to win. = 25
Peter rolls 2, 5 needs 10 to win = 17
Judy rolls 6, 6, 7 = 19

Something I'm only just now realizing is how Jumanji has almost the exact same setup and eventual conclusion as One Froggy Evening.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara Haruko"In the Jungle you must wait, till the dice read 5 or 8" The game would just skip his turn till a 5 or 8 was rolled.
(V)(;,,;)(V)You know you look at the rules Jumanji operates on, and one feels like there's gotta be a better movie about the two extremely bored and dickish wizards who made the game. Or about Peter's time IN the game. Like, was Peter immortal in there? What would happen if he'd died while in the game and then was freed? Would the game have revived him too or just returned his mangled corpse.
- Wizard 1: "Okay, that's cool. But what if the hunter runs out of bullet, or looses his gun?"
- Wizard 2: "Well he's a human and he's smart enough to go get a new gun."
- Wizard 1: "Yeah but when the game sucks everything back in, won't he be without a gun next game."
- Wizard 2: "Just make the game suck in his new gun and ammo too. It's a nice form of self updating. He's get more recent gear."
- Wizard 1: "Doesn't the sucking back in seem pointless with the time reset"
- Wizard 2: "I told you, it's better to cover our bases in case time travel works on multiverse theory. Don't wanna fuck a ecosystem. Considering the game's theme it'd be ironic."
- Wizard 1: "But we are okay about altering time itself by letting the winners keep their memories past the reset point."
- Wizard 2: "What the worst that can happen? We even covered the scenario is some players aren't born when the game is started in case someone takes a several decades long break between turns to avoid having babies born with vivid memories of their future lines. Glad I read Dune and thought of avoiding an Alia Atreides Scenario."
- Wizard 1: "You're right. Now help me with the space game."
- Wizard 2: "Doesn't ti seem a bit convoluted for a revenge scheme over losing a game of RISK?"
- Wizard 1: "No, I told that fucker if he turtled in Australia again i'd see him mauled by a lion or wished out of existence and god damnit, it's gonna happen."

I do sort of agree with him. I love this movie, but that said For a hero who is all about "Great Power Comes Great Responsibility", Peter doesn't really learn to be responsible. He's chastised by Stark for going off half gunned, but in the end he's rewarded for doing exactly that. To Peter's credit, he's self aware enough to turn down the offer at least. But still, Peter's action lead to a plane crash on Coney Island, and it's not Peter's intervention that leads to the plane not landing on top of anyone's head - it's dumb luck. But this is portrayed as good while the Freighter bit was bad because...?
