"To give classical music the same recognition as pop and rock music", B-Classic announced "The Classical Comeback: a new music video format that combines the timeless emotion of classical music with the visual talent of a contemporary director."

So, Raf Reyntjens had South Korean group Waveya twerked to Antonín Leopold Dvorak's "New World Symphony". Brilliant idea, right?

This would make more sense if this was released on the first day of the month in which I'm writing this...

...it looks like someone took a K-Pop video and replaced the music. :/

I had never actually seen twerking before, for all that Miley Cyrus had her scandal and everything, and I like Dvorak, so I decided to watch it. My conclusion is that some of the background scenery was nice (aquarium, some of the architecture) but that my interest in twerking is not higher than it was before.

Although it's not like I watch much ballet, even in the cases where I like some particular piece of ballet music. So maybe I just hate dancing.

Even a little waltz?

Especially waltzes. Darn that Charlie Brown and the waltz-mentioning Peanuts cartoon I watched at roughly the age when kids decide that some cartoon they used to like is for babies.

So what's the point of this video? That they can shove some classical music to the backdrop of a KPOP video filled with twerking and have it come off pretty awkward?

[up]I think it's supposed to be artsy but like a lot of bad art it just comes off looking stupid.
