I need feedback from someone familiar with the Russian language.
I've noticed that Russian has a habit of contracting multiple words by clipping and then attaching them together, e.g. spetsnaz from spetsialnogo naznacheniya. So with that in mind, would it be plausible to contract narodnoe opolcheniye
to naropol?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I don't know... "Naropol Divisions" seems better to me than "Narop Divisions" as a term for the Soviet Union's hastily formed defense forces in the Eastern Front of WW 2 (officially called Narodnoe Opolcheniye).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Huh. Opolcheniye is actually derived from polk — opolčítʹ (o- + polk + -ítʹ) + -énije — so I guess Narpolk works.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Just for clarity, why not Naropol? Just because it can be mistaken for ending in -pol as in "city"?

Disgusted, but not surprised
