Welcome to the second playtest of my My Little Pony D10 RPG.

This is group A‘s OOC thread (and yes, the “A” stands for something secret). The other group will start with similar events, but the events will have a different cause and divergence should accumulate over time.

I am Hasbro and will be running the game.

The IC thread is over here.

I ask that you make the difference between in-character and out-of-character dialogue distinct.

Otherwise, have fun!

Group A consists of:

Rhyme Beat, played by Rhyme Beat

Echo Test, played by Imca

Lost Time, played by Blissey1

Over Yonder, played by Kegisak

Klepto Mane, played by Rebonak7

Filigree, played by Karrin Blue

Gustave, played by Irish Zombie

and Stray Thoughts, played by Lunacorva

Hey Sereg, do I need to roll to see how frazzled Rhyme is? Also, how are we handling die rolls, and which thread should we post rolls in?

No need to roll for that.

Lat time, I used the honour system for rolls. I'm happy to continue.

Their are dice rolling websites out there though.

This probably seems like a really random question, but do ponies have wallets of some kind? A large gathering of packed-together ponies seems like an irresistible opportunity for pickpocketing, as far as Klepto is concerned.

I'll probably use a website. It'd be tiresome to break out the dice for a single roll... and I have like, universally terrible rolls with analogue dice anyways.

Though the D10 system does mitigate that somewhat through volume.

[up]We usually see them produce coins from nowhere in-show, so if they do they're likely somewhere hidden, like in the mane or under wings.

I apologise. I have run out of internet and the shops have been closed whenever I've attempted to buy more.

I'm at work now, but if I can't get more today, I will be able to get more tomorrow.

Ponies keep their coins in their saddlebags, under their wings and in their manes.

The skills used would depend on the circumstance. probably Lore and Investigetion, most of the time.

I'm probably going to have Klepto try to work his way closer to the crowd, pickpocketing a few bits from the people he bumps into along the way. What kind of check would I need to make for that?

Are you Ok with this set up, Immie? I know IC it's hard to work with.

@Klepto: Stealth + Dexterity

If you have generosity as a repressed virtue, you get a one die bonus (and a one die penalty if it's your dominant).

I get back and it looks like we have a plan of some kind. I can't quite tell what that plan is since it looks like part of one of Rhyme's posts got eaten (it kind of shifts from "What's already been done?" straight to "We'll need everyone's help to do this"). Could someone fill me in? I can't really decide how my character reacts to what's being discussed until I know what's being discussed.

Sorry. Rhyme fittingly has bad social skills sometimes but basically she was saying a generic "We need to work together, then she thought of something specific to do. BTW Sereg shoul we spoiler our dice rolls in thread?

@Irish: The Mayor is being over-dramatic. Everything is there.

EDIT: Donkey'd by Rhyme!

And yes, spoilering your dice rolls would be good.

Sereg, How okay are you with Lost pulling out historical facts for your version of Equestria?

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!

It's not my version of Equestria. It's our version of Equestria that happens to be based on my version of Equestria. So, go ahead. You'll need lore + intelligence though.

Otherwise, feel free. I'll tell you if something is problematic. If it isn't, it adds depth to the story.

would I be able to use fetch to get the part she needs if she tells me where it is? I'm not sure if it works that way.

I could combine it with a knowledge check to see if I know the location?

If IC you volunteer I have no objections.

It's lore, but yes. That plus intelligence should do it.

So, will I need to make any kind of check to find the post office now, or can I just go there?

I'm sure that you know it well enough. You don't need to check for trivialities. Especially not in a ply-by-post where we want to avoid being bogged down.

I'm not sure how I'd go about breaking into the post office. (Well, there's a statement that will probably put me on a few government watch lists.)

Sereg Since: Jun, 2010
#23: Apr 11th 2014 at 6:30:13 AM

Well, you'd start with casing the place. (Investigation + intelligence)

Okay, now that I've found the window, I need to get in undetected. I'm assuming I'd use Dexterity for that, but what would the other stat be?
