Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Varla, Rosie and Billie, Holy Trinity of Exploitation Film

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fpkktvtp.png
Front to back: Varla, Billie, Rosie
  • Demigoddesses
  • Symbol: A fist covered in a black glove, a knife and a bottle of wine
  • Theme Song: "Faster Pussycat"
  • Alignment: Varla is Chaotic Evil, Rosie is True Neutral, Billie is Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Dark Action Girl, Cool Cars, Deadpan Snarker, Large Ham, disgusted by rapists
  • Domains: Chaos, Sex, Violence, Crime
  • Allies: Ronnie Barzell
  • Complicated Relations: Laurie Strode, Sidney Prescott, Thelma and Louise, Corky and Violet
  • Here we have a trio of go-go dancers who are as dangerous as they are eyecatching. Varla is their vicious, domineering leader; she seeks out dangerous thrills and doesn't care if someone gets hurt in the process. Her underlings are Rosie, the loyal and lovelorn number two, and Billie, a hard-partying free spirit who resents and pushes back against Varla's control. The three went to the desert to cut loose, only for things to go in a bad direction when Varla violently killed a teenage boy called Tommy and kidnapped his girlfriend Linda. With Linda in tow, they then met a dysfunctional family consisting of a bitter, old, women-hating, wheelchair-bound lech and his two sons, one a dimwitted mountain of muscle and the other the only sane man in the family. The go-go trio learned that the old man was hiding a large sum of money and Varla schemed to relieve him of it. The end result was a lot of bloodshed, with the entire trio, the old man and his dimwitted son dead, while the other son and Linda managed to escape.
  • As expected from the unruly trio, their ascension was a chaotic affair; Billie immediately wanted to throttle Varla and Rosie for literally backstabbing her after she attempted to distance herself from them and their (well, mostly Varla's) crimes. A few deities held them away from each other as they had the Pantheon explained to them and that they were now goddesses, much of it falling on deaf ears as Varla and Billie were simply too busy cursing each other out at the top of their lungs. As soon as the ceremony was over, Billie stormed out and disappeared somewhere. Varla didn't really care, as there had never been much friendship between her and Billie to begin with, and was more interested in finding out what the Pantheon had to offer. Might as well, since this is be the place they will be stuck in for the foreseeable future.
  • While Rosie initially followed Varla as usual, she thought a lot about the events that led to all of their deaths and was no longer so comfortable playing underling to Varla. Rosie eventually left Varla, quietly, since she didn't want to share Billie's fate. Not knowing what to do from then on, she settled on committing petty thefts in some busy, anonymous part of the Pantheon to survive. This lasted until she tried mugging the klutz Freya Carlson under the impression that she wouldn't give her trouble, only for Freya's trademark neck chop to knock her out. Next thing Rosie knew, she's being put through a Good Cop/Bad Cop routine with Freya and her much more ruthless friend Coffy, wherein the vigilante intimidated Rosie into working with them. While this entails a lot of things, Freya made it clear they were specifically hoping she could help them stop Varla's wave of violence and crime that was terrorizing the Pantheon's inhabitants. Coffy added that if Rosie refused, she would personally make her regret every choice that had led her up to this point.
  • With Coffy pressing down on her and lacking ideas for anything better to do with herself, Rosie decided it'd be best to work with her and Freya. Her relationship with Coffy is nominally an alliance, but remains poor as Coffy doesn't trust her due to her willing participation in Varla's schemes in the past, and Rosie won't exactly take her barbs lying down. Freya is more optimistic and hopes to become true friends with Rosie, even letting her crash at her temple since Rosie can't exactly go back to the trio's. And thanks to Freya, Rosie got to familiarize herself with certain creatures. No, we're not talking about the Temmies, though you could say that's also true. Freya is partnered to a Digimon, UlforceV-dramon, one of the much-vaunted Royal Knights, and that connection would change things for Rosie in a big way.
  • Rosie reminded UlforceV-dramon of someone; a bullheaded Knight whose iron-clad loyalty to an evil master led him to his doom: Dynasmon. UlforceV-dramon insinuated as much to Dynasmon as many times as it took until the latter, who was very content to NOT have a partner as his loyalty was only for Norn, got fed up and made to meet Rosie just to shut him up. Neither was impressed with the other; Dynasmon looking down on Rosie simultaneously for being a worthless common criminal and what he saw as her faltering loyalty to who he considered her master (Varla), while Rosie already knew all about how Dynasmon had worked for some Satan-type boss and never apologized for it despite his supposedly new and more loyalties since ascending, so she wondered out loud where he got the gall to judge her. But in any case, seeing something of a mirror of herself in Dynasmon did give Rosie a new clarity about her toxic relationship with Varla.
  • At this point, Varla was rampaging through the Pantheon in her own way, through drag-racing and beating up anyone who rubbed her the wrong way (it doesn't take much). One can make a wild guess that the reason she was so enraged might have something to do with the fact that she'd driven away the last two people willing to put up with her, but that was not readily obvious to her, especially as she's someone who's generally wrathful at the world. At any rate, Rosie eventually gathered her nerve to confront her and tell her she had to stop, even drawing her knife to show she would fight her. But Varla hadn't forgotten Rosie abandoned her and so she was feeling vengeful against her. And Rosie was no match for Varla; she had a knife, but Varla had martial arts and was utterly fearless. Even so, Rosie made it clear to Varla that no matter how much she beat her, from now on she was constantly going to try to get her to come to her senses, as she should have done before she killed Tommy, because she was loyal to Varla, out of love, and because of that Rosie would do her best to make Varla stop going down this evil path she was on. Varla wasn't touched by this though and saw Rosie as having fully turned against her. Meanwhile, Dynasmon was more or less forced to watch these proceedings by UlforceV-dramon, but Rosie's newfound version of loyalty to Varla did impress him enough for him to interfere in their confrontation before Varla could break Rosie's neck. He said he wanted to see what Rosie's loyalty would lead to and a Digivice materialized in Rosie's hand. Varla was even more enraged at seeing this and was foolhardy enough to throw punches at Dynasmon, which while shocking to the Knight was obviously a no-go. In the end, Varla just made a parting shot about leaving Rosie to her new friend (implying he replaced her) and left.
  • So what was going on with Billie? Fed up with Varla and Rosie as she was, she shunned crime altogether and made a niche for herself at the Hall of Dance as a go-go dancer, where she was happy enough and mostly got along with her fellow dancers thanks to her genial, if not necessarily free-of-malice, personality. She was happy never to have anything to do with Varla and Rosie ever again, but Rosie's partnership with a Royal Knight of all things did make the waves and reached her. Not that Billie knew what the Royal Knights were exactly, but even their very name implies something very contrary to Varla, Rosie and indeed herself, making her extremely curious about what Rosie was up to. Since Rosie doesn't live in their temple (neither does Billie actually, she rents a room at the Hall of Dance), Billie barged into the Royal Knights' temple and fast-talked them into telling her where Rosie was, distributing beer among them as a friendly gesture; UlforceV-dramon himself took her to Freya's temple where Rosie was. After catching up and learning about Rosie's new perspective, Billie decided Rosie was finally becoming sort of cool and more interesting than she'd ever been when she was Varla's lovesick underling, and so she's going to stick around and see what happens, just for kicks (or so she says), not because she'd particularly like for Varla to turn over a new leaf (Billie is still of a mind that Varla can die in a ditch). Rosie and Billie's previously dubious friendship was thus mended and maybe strengthened a little.
  • Granted, even with Rosie having pulled a Heel–Face Turn and Billie having always been the (relatively) moral one of the trio from the start, the fact that in the past they were still accomplices to Varla's crimes is something that some deities are going to take them to task for. This includes Final Girls like Laurie Strode and Sidney Prescott, who can relate to the plight of Linda, the girl that the trio kidnapped and endangered. Rosie herself was very uncaring towards Linda during the ordeal, but after talking it through with Billie, who was the most empathetic toward the girl, she seems to have a sense of regret about all the torment they put the girl through. Laurie and Sidney probably think this sentiment is too little, too late, given they can't exactly do anything to make it up to Linda now. At any rate, even if they don't let Rosie and Billie off lightly, they acknowledge that Varla was always the real motor behind all the evil they caused and they expect Rosie and Billie to do their part in stopping the monster they once aided (Rosie agrees although she quietly dislikes such a word as "monster" getting applied to Varla).
  • As much as Varla ended up alienating her former friends, it's not as if there aren't others who like the kind of excitement she brings and seek out her company, such as surfer/bank robber Bodhi, an adrenaline junkie whose ultimate goal in life is to always live it on the edge. Theirs is a very individualistic working alliance; they will periodically join forces to commit some crime or get something else out of each other and afterwards will abruptly part ways once they get what they wanted and there's no more excitement or benefit to be reaped, at least until the next time they feel like there is, anyway, and then the cycle repeats. Might be for the best given Varla's personality means she would probably try to take charge of things in the long run, and a philosophical free spirit like Bodhi doesn't jive with that; he thinks they're kind of like fire and wind in that sense, and he needs to "run away" before Varla can consume him.
  • Had circumstances been different, Varla, Rosie and Billie could have been traveling around the Pantheon in their cars, having adventures and enjoying their freedom in the same vein as Thelma and Louise. While such a scenario might still be possible in some distant future, provided Varla ever gets her head out of her ass, in the meantime Varla antagonizes Thelma and Louise whenever they run into each other in their cars, with Varla constantly forcing the two into drag racing with her. Thelma and Louise usually go along with this, if only because refusing means Varla would probably turn violent and/or try to pull some crazy car stunt on them, so they race her until she loses interest and leaves. Varla never seems interested in chatting, although the fact that she doesn't default to ultraviolence with the two makes it evident that she has an uncommon amount of respect for them, as women who went their own way.
  • As former criminals currently lying low and living as a happy lesbian couple, Corky and Violet's sympathies are with Rosie for her succeeding in reforming herself in the Pantheon, although they do find it confounding and frustrating that her affection for Varla persists as they think she's not the least bit worth it. Rosie has heard similar opinions before, most memorably Billie's scathing speech about how she should get interested in other people, but the heart wants what it wants. And seeing Corky and Violet together makes Rosie long all the more for a similar life with Varla.
  • Ronnie Barzell is a high-flying music producer and so normally he would have paid no heed to what he saw as three hoodlums, that is, until he learned they were technically his "relations". Now he insists in including them in his guest list for the many parties he throws, though naturally with Rosie and Billie being estranged from Varla, this doesn't always turn out well; in fact it has resulted in some ugly fights breaking out in the middle of a party and Ronnie learned the hard way not to include them all in the guest list at the same time. Nevertheless Ronnie is hoping he can play some kind of role in helping to rebuild the bridges between them, because what else is "family" for? In any case, Billie in particular is glad to find a consistent source of wild parties that let her really cut loose.

Sun

Moon
  • Note: Adopted from Radio Contact Line
  • Hall: Transformations (House of Shape)
  • Demigod as Sun, Lesser God as Moon and Eclipse
  • Symbol: A combined moon-sun symbol
  • Theme Song: The Daycare theme
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral in general. Sun attempts to present himself as Neutral Good (emphasis on attempts) and Moon has high shades of Lawful Evil, and becomes Chaotic Evil under Vanny's reprogamming. May just be plain Lawful Neutral now as Eclipse.
  • Portfolio
  • Domains: Transformations, Duality, Animatronics, Unpopularity (generally), Daytime, Extraverts, Friendliness (Sun), Nighttime, Aggression, Punishment (Moon), Balanced Personalities, Ruins, Mergers (Eclipse)
  • Complicated relationship: The other Glamrock Animatronics (though Roxanne seems to have a slightly better opinion on him)
  • Varying relationship with: The House of Childhood and Adolescence (strained with Sun and Eclipse, mostly opposes Moon), Vicky (enemies with Sun, on poor terms with Moon)
  • Interests: The Collector
  • Allies: Collectively none, given their clashing natures and personalities.
  • On good terms with: The Hall of Joy and Happiness, excluding Nerose Satanel (Sun)
  • Enemies: Each other, and each other's allies though possibly less so now given their merge into Eclipse, Glamrock Freddy and Gregory (moreso for Moon, less so when in control of their faculties), the Mimic, anybody who would murder or otherwise harm children like William Afton, Freddy Krueger, IT/Pennywise, or The Witches, those who hack or spread computer viruses such as Sigma, The Venjix Virus, Sombra, and Love Machine
  • Pitied by: Dr Thomas Light, Rock/Mega Man, Philip J Fry (as a whole)
  • Curious about: Basically any sun and moon deity like Helios and Selene (the Daycare Attendant in general), The Dark (Moon)
  • The Daycare Attendant was one of the many new robots designed by Freddy Fazbear's Pizza for their massive project of the Pizzaplex. More specifically, it was designed to oversee the Daycare area that was going to be built there. It was meant to be a fun assistant to the Daycare for the children to have fun with, but given its unintentionally terrifying appearance and extremely odd personality traits it instead caused the children to become absolutely terrified of the thing. Normally, its default personality is Sun, a normally jovial and well-meaning, if very overbearing animatronic, if the lights go out in the building it ends up transforming into Moon, a much more terrifying and hostile Knight Templar-esque personality. Sun is terrified of becoming Moon and aims to keep the lights on in the building as much as possible, and likewise Moon wants to keep the place dark as much as possible so it can remain active. After Vanny hacked many of the animatronics in the Pizzaplex, Moon would end up afflicted and become one of the main threats to Gregory and Glamrock Freddy during the night they were trapped.
    • When Cassie is able to find a way to defeat Moon's side of the Daycare Attendant as they internally struggle with Sun, the two personalities combine and create Eclipse. A Split-Personality Merge, it is ambiguous if this persona was always intended to be part of the animatronic's design, or a happy accident from Cassie trying to fix Sun. Eclipse comes off as a much more level-headed individual than Sun and comes off as helpful and compassionate, wishing her a happy birthday. Gentle and whimsical despite being the most physically off-putting of the personas, he decides to go and clean up the daycare, wishing Cassie well. Their fate after this encounter is, as of yet, unknown.
  • In yet another attempt to make the life of children "better" in the Pantheon, Uncle Howee decided to set up a large daycare area within his Hall of Social and Recreational Work where his show would play 24/7. To get the many required toys and devices for this building, he managed to petition the Court of the Gods to give him boxes of scraps lying around in a warehouse, which he then used to "liven up the place". Little did he or anyone else know, the scraps somehow contained the deactivated Daycare Attendant's body within it. After discovering this, Howee decided to improvise and work towards attempting to re-activate him to serve as an extra hand for the new daycare. Surprisingly, he managed to do it...only for the Moon personality to come out due to the building's darkness and attempt to attack him. Thankfully for him, he figured out the Attendant's gimmick managed to turn on the lights in the building for the Sun personality to come out, and soon defused the situation with the much more friendly robot. Thus, a new robotic deity entered the Pantheon...whether people liked it or not.
  • None of the other Glamrock animatronics were exactly happy to hear the Daycare Attendant managed to ascend, as he basically served the role of The Friend Nobody Likes, with all the others seeing him as an unnoteworthy being at best and an actively annoying pest at worst. Even Glamrock Freddy, who actively tries to convince Gregory that his friends are not as bad as their current circumstances made them look, didn't like him that much to begin with. Not that either of them particularly care about what the other animatronics think of them. Who they do care about is William Afton, who they quickly learned was also in the Pantheon and was indirectly responsible for Moon getting hacked in the first place. For that matter, there's also the Mimic which is believed to have taken on many of the murderous tendencies of William. It's not helping both of them have a habit of hurting/killing kids. Both of them, despite their many differences, have agreed to stay the hell away from both of them at all costs.
  • The Daycare Attendant is notable in being the one animatronic not being based off an animal or Glam Rock within the Pizzaplex. A sun and moon themed character has been around for quite a while, with a Sleepy Moon character all the way back in 1979. The Daycare Animatronic is probably the least popular character for how unintentionally creepy his/their design is, even the friendly sun. Dr Light was upset at its state of mind as he's noted the Pizzaplex animatronics possess many personality issues that trouble human entertainers and celebrities, and after learning Sun and Moon were likely split from the stable Eclipse personality, he feels like that's just another complaint that should be labeled against Fazbear. Mega Man feels bad for the clear issues the Attendant has, and Fry is empathetic to his situation. He has an extraverted robot as his best friend, and is overall a Nice Guy to people.
  • Even if it's nighttime so long as the lights are on, Sun's in charge. Conversly, if it's a dark room with the sunlight not available, Moon comes out to play. In order to take control of the situation, Sun and Moon have been trying to stay in the Hall of Light and Brightness and Darkness and Shadow respectively. Moon has become interested in Dark, the embodiment of, well, darkness, as he feels comforted by such a force. If there's something the two agree on, it's they're intrigued by the many solar and lunar deities. Despite not being nearly as evil, Moon prefers to be in the company of the Grand Duke of Owls, since he would prefer it if the night never goes away and he can better assert himself over Sun. The two find themselves relating in general to the Hall of Split Personalities.
  • Sun is at first glance, a happy and extraverted robot who loves his job as a caretaker. He enjoys doing activities with children such as putting on puppet shows and drinking Fizzy Faz, and is overall pretty upbeat. However it's more complicated than that; there are indications of an exhausted and even jaded performer underneath his joyful persona. Another way to put it is that he acts like a Spongebob, but has the wariness of a Squidward. Sun unsurprisingly likes Spongebob due to his upbeat personality and passion for his job. A showman and entertainer for children, he likes to hang out with Uncle Howee (who assisted in his ascension) and Krusty. The clown was able to tell that Sun is dealing with some underlying issues, which the animatronic denies. Because of how in-your-face he is and his design being creepy he's still not popular with the kids of the pantheon, but he is trying to appeal to them.
  • Moon is the Mr Hyde to Sun's Dr Jekyll. While Moon was only murderous when hijacked and reprogrammed, he was already bordeline villainous, albeit not in the same way Montgomery Gator is implied to be. Moon's an overly antagonistic jerk who's short with kids and would punish them for something as simple as staying past their bedttime. He isn't Vicky levels of bad, but in her saner (or at least start of the show) moments the difference isn't that bad. Moon straight up is hated by most of kids for coming off like an abusive and overbearing Babysitter from Hell. He doesn't try to seriously harm kids when in control of his faculties, but he wishes to establish corporal punishment to "naughty, disobedient kids" like Bart Simpson or Dennis the Menace. Kevin McAllister has gotten his wrath for causing him to literally break a leg from one of his traps, conveniently ignoring this was a result of making one of the kids at the daycare cry by yelling at them to go to bed when they weren't sleepy.
  • Design-wise, Moon looks like he visits the same tailor as the Collector. A Titan of immense power, he also has yellow sun symbolism, and is themed after a lunar eclipse. The Daycare Animatronic has heard of the kid's incredible power and both personalities agreed "we're better off not babysitting that kid." The playful Collector has used his powers to seperate Sun and Moon, giving them a much-needed rest from one another. The time was only temporary before he set things back to normal, and he senses for Eclipse to exist, both Sun and Moon must. While it was fun for them and they liked the kid giving them positive attention, they're still intimidated by a Reality Warper, even a now benign one. Their nature as two sides of the same coin is something they have discussed with Pyra and Mythra.
  • Despite their...complicated and antagonistic opinions towards each other, and despite Moon in particular being infamously terrifying and controlling for children, they both mutually have the desire to make sure the children are safe. After all, it was what they were built and designed to do, no matter how badly those engineers did at their job, and as far as we know Moon never actually went as far as to harm the children, at least until Vanny managed to hack him. Thus, they have a mutual opposition to any and all child abusers and murderers, including the aforementioned William Afton, but also other depraved beings like Freddy Krueger, Pennywise, and especially the Witches. And yes, Moon is pretty lousy to kids, unsurprisingly thinking Baldi has a point with his use of corporal punishment, but saying he's outright evil would be unfair. However as Sun muses, Moon is the one susceptible to Vanny's hacking.
  • In the same vein as child abusers, they both hate those who'd hack them, given how Vanny managed to hijack them to make Moon straight-up murderous. Hearing about the many different hackers and infectious A.I in the Pantheon did not help their mood in the slightest. Their worst fears came true when Sombra managed to take control of their body via hacking their mainframe and sic the two as a walking time bomb against the Overwatch crew. After they were revived in their temple from the incident, Sun desperately tried to plead to the House of Machinery and Technology to upgrade his systems so she couldn't do it again. Most of the members are reluctant to give the already unstable A.I even more power, however, much to both of their frustration. Given her presence, as well as other hackers even more powerful than her like Sigma, Love Machine, and the Venjix Virus, they will definitely not be resting easy.

Yorick Brown, Divine Survivor Of The Gendercide

  • On good terms with: Abu, The 10th Doctor, Mark Grayson/Invincible
  • Enemies: Rapists in general
  • Avoids: Peryite
  • Yorick Brown is the son of a member of the US's House of Representatives, and an amateur escape artist, Yorick is one of the two last men on Earth. He is an under-achiever and a slacker, but actually quite bright. He has a degree in English, and knows far too much about pop culture. Oh, and alongside his pet capuchin Ampersand, they were the onlynote  mammals with a Y chromosome to survive a sudden plague that caused every male mammal to suffer a fatal hemorraging of blood. Half of humanity wiped out, the last human male isn't some egotistical lothario who'd jump at it but a regular guy who wants to reunite with his girlfriend Beth in Australia. He's protected by Agent 355 and the scientist Dr Allison Mann, who are hoping by finding what spared him and his capuchin and studying him they can find a way to make sure humanity doesn't go extinct in one generation. While a solution is ultimately found in the form of cloning, Yorick endures much tragedy, from a guilt complex to losing people he cares deeply for.
  • Yorick's story ended on a sad note. When he finally reuinted with Beth, she revealed he intended to break up with him before the Gendercide and she ultimately married his sister Hero. Yorick had fallen in love with Agent 355, only for her to die. Yorick Brown was left an old man, a bitter old shell of himself in a loveless marriage with Beth II. He eventually managed to escape his cell to parts unknown. To his surprise, Yorick found himself in a younger body, and saw Ampersand nearby. Naturally he assumed this was some sort of Dying Dream, especially when Agent 355 and Dr Mann were in his sight. However the Court of the Gods explained that perhaps a sort of afterlife was more accurate. Yorick Brown was considered for the role of representing extinctions affecting one gender, due to his status as a survivor. Ampersand, 355, Mann, Hero and Beth I being his heralds is due to their relevance to his story, but could also be seen as a sort of Throw the Dog a Bone. Seeing his lost friends back gave some of his spirit, and he is interested in what the pantheon has to offer.
  • While multiple possible reasons for the plague that wiped out almost all mammals with a Y chromosome are posited, the true reason is deliberately kept a mystery. The House of Health and Diseases has gotten requests to try and figure out what it was, and while there haven't been any results there's fortunately nothing suggesting it might happen again. Much as he doesn't want anything to do with Peryite, there's no indication he has a Gendercide in mind. Yorick is the survivor of an apocalypse of sorts, which leads him to feel a bit out of place in the Hall of Ruin and Destruction. To hide his gender, he wore a gas mask and long cloak. Outside of a one-night stand, he's relatively chaste and considered sleeping around with women in the cataclysm to be taking advantage of women.
  • Yorick's survival is somehow tied to, as he bluntly put it, "monkey shit". During the Gendercide he was training Capuchin as a helper monkey and the cataclysm didn't do anything to make him more well-behaved. However as much as he's a poop-flinging monkey, which somehow allowed Yorick to be spared, he's also a good source of levity and is a constant companion of Yorick's. Even if he's no less of a troublemaker in the pantheon as Yorick's herald, he wouldn't have it any other way and he's glad to see him healthy again. Ampersand likes to cause general mischief with Abu, sometimes Ampersand unknowingly helps Abu get away with his sticky fingers. Again, this has fueled his belief that the Trope Pantheon is some sort of afterlife with fate giving him some kindness after everything.
  • Yorick uses humor to cope with his circumstances. The truth is that he has some serious Survivor's Guilt from living through the Gendercide and it took him an intervention to break out of his Death Seeker tendencies. Even if there's a consolation of Agent 355 existing as a herald, it hasn't stopped his melancholy in the pantheon having watched her die. Sometimes he talks about it with the 10th Doctor. Like a number of incarnations of the Doctor, they're a survivor of an extinction, and has somewhat of a Sad Clown way of dealing with the sorrow, however he most of all also knows what it's like to be seperated from the person you love, albeit in different circumstances. Yorick has found kinship with Eugene Root over their despondency and suicidal ideation.
  • He's skilled at sleight of hand and parlor magic tricks, earning him a meager income. He was successful enough at it he managed to earn an engagement ring. Yorick is also an learned escape artist; when the plague first struck, he was suspended upside down in a straight jacket in the middle of a conversation and got out of it in minutes. For a hot minute he thought the stuff in the House of Magic and Sorcery was some impressive special effects and slight of hand, only to be shocked that actual, real magic exists here too. His skill with escape artistry opens up to a friendship with Mister Miracle, someone who can definitely understand tragedy as, well, he was basically raised in hell. Occasionally he can be motivated enough to do magic tricks alongside Kaito Kuroba.
  • There are a couple other reasons for his reluctance to sleep with women during the Gendercide. One is the desire to reunite with Beth, though that didn't end well as they fell in love with different people. As Zuko would put it, "that's rough buddy". Odysseus and Penelope have concurred on that, feeling pity for Yorick's long trip ultimately being a "Shaggy Dog" Story, unlike their own. However, they also respect his determination. Philip J Fry has a soft spot for Yorick because of the lengths he went to reunite with girlfriend, while also able to relate somewhat to the loss he went through since Fry ended up leaving almost everyone from his life in the 20th century behind and only later would realize he misses his family. The delivery boy was also interested in his skills as an escape artist.
  • Another reason for his reluctance is his hang-ups regarding sexuality due to traumatic incidents in his past. When he was young he was sexually assaulted by another boy, having gone to therapy. Sadly he wasn't the only member of his family to suffer abuse as his sister Hero was molested as a child by their grandfather. While Yorick has recovered from the trauma, it's still going to be a sore subject for him and for personal reasons he has no patience for rapists, particularly those who would somehow rationalize it as needing to repopulate their race or something like that. Unsurprisingly he shows a good degree of sympathy for Mark Grayson because of his own experience with sexual assault; Mark was raped by a Viltrumite woman desiring to breed a new Viltrumite child, a trauma of which he spent a long time trying to come to terms with, and eventually the child born as a result of it.

Sally and Gillian Owens, Goddesses of Womanly Magic

  • Domains: Magic, Love, Family, Femininity
  • Allies: Jeanne, Kiki
  • Enemies:
  • Sally and Gillian Owens are descendants from a long line of witches. An ancestor of theirs, Maria, was heartbroken when the father of her child abandoned her and cast a spell on herself to never fall in love again, which developed into a curse wherein any man loved by an Owens woman is doomed to die an early death. Sally and Gillian's own mother died of heartbreak after their father fell to the curse, leading to their aunts Frances and Jet taking them in. Their childhood was a mixed bag, as living with the aunts was fun, but they were shunned by everyone in the town for being witches. Sally and Gillian developed opposing attitudes towards love as they grew up, with the down-to-earth Sally fearing loving anyone whereas the wilder Gillian was fascinated with the idea. At some point Gillian ran away with a boyfriend while Sally stayed in town, ended up falling in love with a man despite her fears and had two daughters with him before he too fell to the curse. Upon learning her aunts actually manipulated her into falling in love with him through a love potion, Sally swore off magic in her life, but then Gillian returned home with a problem: she had an abusive boyfriend, Jimmy Angelov. As they administered belladonna to keep him calm, they accidentally killed him, then tried and seemingly failed to resurrect him with black magic. They hid his body and a detective soon came knocking to investigate. He and Sally fell in love, but the Owens curse was still hanging over Sally's mind. More urgently, Jimmy's ghost was haunting the Owens and had to be dealt with as soon as possible, especially once he possessed Gillian. Sally gathered several townswomen to form a coven to exorcise Jimmy, which also succeeded in breaking the Owens family curse. Afterwards, the Owens were no longer shunned by the community and Sally became able to love freely.

  • Allies:
  • Enemies: Lady Tremaine
  • Complicated Relations: Cinderella
  • Elvira is an unlucky young woman from the kingdom of Swedlandia who was perenially overshadowed by her naturally beautiful and graceful stepsister Agnes. Elvira's mother Rebekka married Agnes' father Otto, each believing that the other family was rich and would solve their financial woes, only for that fantasy to be dispelled after Otto died right away on the wedding night. Faced with poverty, Rebekka soon hatched a plan to marry Elvira to Prince Julian, but since Elvira was not conventionally beautiful, steps had to be taken to improve on that front. And whether that meant a great deal of psychic and physical pain for Elvira did not matter to Rebekka. The procedures that Elvira was put through include: setting her nose by breaking it with a hammer and a chisel, having prettier eyelashes sewn into her eyelids and swallowing tapeworm eggs to make herself thinner. Rebekka meanwhile reduced Agnes to a servant, hoping to dim her beauty so she wouldn't ruin Elvira's chances. After months of torture, Elvira became more conventionally attractive and for a moment during the decisive ball it seemed like she had Julian's interest, only for Elvira's hopes to be dashed when Agnes showed up and Julian fell in love at first sight, despite her veiled face. Agnes lost one of her slippers as she fled the ball and Julian decided he would find her by having every woman in the realm try on the slipper, leading the now half-insane Elvira to chop off her toes to fit the slipper. Rebekka "helped" by making sure all her toes were chopped off in both feet. The months of awful beauty treatments caught up to Elvira as her acquired beauty faded, her hair fell off and she vomited the tapeworms that had been nesting inside her. Agnes married the Prince, less out of love than to escape this family, while Elvira and her younger sister Alma also fled the house and their mother to seek a better life.

  • Opposed by: The Men in Black and similar organizations
  • Varied Relationships: The Sages of Gensokyo
  • Once upon a time, Mamizou slipped into the Pantheon at the behest of her old friend (and current Herald) Nue Houjuu to prevent Toyosatomimi no Miko's ascension. However, by the time Mamizou arrived, Miko had already revived and ascended with her rival, Byakuren Hijiri, to the throne of Dueling Messiahs in the House of Religion and Faith. Still, the elder tanuki decided to remain around for a bit, lounging and playing with everyone she finds interesting. However, when more pressing matters back in Gensokyo forced the tanuki's hand, alongside a reorganization of the Pantheon ended up cutting her out of it, she would solemnly accept the dismissal and return home.
    • Mamizou wouldn't even be among those who were ascended shortly after the crusade that Chimata Tenkyuu led against Brand X, as she actually refused the offer at first to focus more on maintaining Gensokyo while the Sages are left to primarily deal with the Pantheon. She wanted to wait for a time less turbulent to make her move and return, biding instead for her chance to slip in unnoticed to the rest of the Pantheon. The Law Civil War would be this deciding factor, as around the same time, Nue, the tanuki's best friend and now-former Goddess of Looking Different to Differing Onlookers had become very homesick as of late, despite not having much of a stake in Gensokyo herself. One meeting and a deal later, and the two would switch worlds, with Mamizou using the war as cover to have her underlings change as much of Nue's files on-hand as possible to match the tanuki's, and overhaul her friend's shrine to become her new headquarters. And just like that, Mamizou Futatsuiwa was back- and this time, she's not thinking about leaving anytime soon.
  • As a tanuki, she can turn her appearance to anything she fits, from persons, to animals and even inanimate objects, all to blend in with the world around her. The main caveat of this ability, however, is she cannot completely hide her own ears and tail (which isn't that much of a bother to her, as hiding them isn't always necessary and she's better off shriniking them if needed). For instance, she once tried to disguise herself as Asgore's ex-wife Toriel with this as a prank, but thankfully the con ended with the King of the Monsters having a nice tea session with her instead over a discussion regarding their roles as protectorates.
    • However, unlike most tanuki (that she knows of), she can also do it to other people as well, surprising them and using it to catch others off guard. Using this ability in a more offensive manner has its benefits, as this allows Mamizou to completely hide and change others temporarily with her transmogrification abilities; this is most effective when used against inanimate objects, and at night when the moon's up. As a result of this, along with her large cabal of equally-decent shapeshifting tanuki and a brilliant tactical mind, she has made herself to be one of the most dangerous espionagial forces in the Pantheon.
      • This reputation of hers has put her on a direct collision course with one of the ascended members of Team White Pidgeon, as she would go blow-for-blow with Ange le Carre one day in the very crowded House of Costumes, matching the European spy at every turn and overcoming her at each engagement. And Mamizou's reason for going after Ange in particular is twofold- one, to gauge the competition since her exit from the Pantheon, and the other is for shits and giggles. At least the spy didn't have any truly hard feelings for the tanuki since, and they've both become reliable allies from that their first meeting onward.
  • Of course, being a tanuki herself meant she had to go scope out her fellow tanuki within the Pantheon as well, which is how Mamizou spent most of her time during her second day back in the Pantheon. She'd catch up with one of her old buddies in Tom Nook, who has now become a leading member of the House of Commerce since Mamizou's depature, along with Chimata Tenkyuu, someone that the Gensokyo-native tanuki was partly familiar with. The tanuki of Tama Hill would be her other stop of the day, and they were more than delighted to see her come back as she came to check up on them as well, having prepared a massive party for her when she arrived at their temple. She was clearly happy to see that her old friends were still there after all these years, and was glad that some things never truly changed.
    • "...wait, there's more tanuki? Let me see if I can find them..." Mamizou would ask herself aloud on her third day back in the Pantheon, as she continued to investigate and form new connections with more of her kind. She'd start by seeking out the current official title-holder of the God of Tanuki, that being Yasaburou Shimogamo; and as it is expected, the duo got along rather swiftly, as the former title-holder was pleasantly surprised at how much they share regarding their ideals and outlooks on life- even if Yasaburou isn't afraid to call Mamizou out on her shadier side, which she actually enjoys hearing. Michiru Kagemori would be next on her list, and tracking her down to the House of Sports, only talking to her after the beastwoman wraps up a game of streetball; they hit it off rather quickly, with Mamizou offering her support to allow Michiru further development of her abilities, and novel uses of it.
  • As she is a youkai, and a particularly old one at that, she has some reserved biases; for instance, she does have a softer spot towards humans, despite being quite the Manipulative Bastard. However, she has a rather large dislike towards foxes, a disliking whose reason you'll never get easily out of Mamizou- especially if you're a fox yourself. One result of this hatred would be that she'd constantly get into heated oneupmanship games with Yukari's primary retainer, the shikigami Ran Yakumo, as the tanuki and kitsune compete for territory and espionage throughout the Pantheon; almost all the time, it ends up in an actual brawl. That being said, the years have more than shaped her, as she is now willing to put a temporary truce between her and foxes in times of crisis, and her opinion on them has lessened in its sourness.
  • Despite not being an actual Sage of Gensokyo, Mamizou's influence on the Land of Fantasy is one that's very tight and rooted to it, as she has wormed her way up its social ladder. She's on surprisingly good terms with its main protectorate, Reimu, and also is a good drinking buddy of Aya's at Geidontei's, though neither deity got along with her well at first. Neither compare to how much influence she has over the part-time owner of Suzunaan, Kosuzu Motoori, essentially being the one to instigate the bookworm's slow tippling over into the messy masquerade of Gensokyo's social hierarchy between humans and youkai while taking advantage of her disguises around her to. Some deities found this to be rather unsavory of the tanuki's, but she didn't seem all too bothered by it.
Mamizou: Look at you all, all high-and-mighty here. Dismiss your thoughts, folks; morality means nothing much to a youkai in the long run.
    • Of the three Sages in particular, while she hasn't seen much of Okina (which is on purpose, on the Secret God's end), she's much more familiar with Yukari and especially so with Kasen. She and Yukari are very much alike, being petty schemers who advance things for their own ends, may they be for the self in Mamizou's case, or for Gensokyo as a whole in Yukari's. With Kasen, however, things are much more strenuous; the tanuki's a bit bitter for getting duped into her and her cohort becoming hella drunk over a drinking contest, but they've also teamed up to make teach Sumireko Usami a harsh lesson of being part of Gensokyo (a time that the esper still annoys them about, despite being friends with them since).
    • Hata no Kokoro was someone who had also been taken under Mamizou's wing, particularly in regards to training her emotions in the wake of the Religious War. Notably, not only is Kokoro a tsukumogami (a menreiki, to be exact), but Mamizou herself employs the use of lesser-developed and more youkai-leaning tsukumogami in combat and espionage as well, in addition to her tanuki. Of course, this meant that she also has to be wary of the presence of Majora, a sinister living mask who has once been worn by Kokoro a while back, causing her to go on a rampage; this disgusted the tanuki to no end when she learned of this incident.
  • Mamizou's run-ins regarding more...odd depictions of tanuki have not gone unnoticed; for instance, she avoids going anywhere near Doraemon due of his rather angry reaction when people call him a tanuki. She would like to inform people that the Tanooki Suits that Mario and his friends wear do not come from actual tanuki skin, and that the power-ups they get simply transform into the suits. If the former was the case, she would have done something ages ago; she is utterly confused why Luigi gets a fox-themed costume, however.
  • When she adopted the idea of The Men in Black as a theme when everybody else was taking themes from Urban Legends during that particular incident, she eventually got involved with the real Men in Black. Hilarity Ensues, as Mamizou suddenly found herself on the run by the organization as a result of "impersonating them", which also got both the SCP Foundation and GOC on her tail as well for being someone who could leak their secrets with her abilities. Sumireko Usami, who not only was the prime suspect of the incident, hunted herself by the above orgs, and even was the target of a scare attack by Mamizou herself, had to be the one to bail her out with a trip to the Dream World. The esper would then declare herself and the tanuki to be "even", believing that saving Mamizou was enough to get her off of her ass- which it was, in a way.

Jaws and Starfy are ready to begin receiving [tup]s.

[tup]s mode

Starfy, God of Water Levels (Stafy, The Legendary Starfy)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/starfy_spirit.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: A star above some ocean waves
  • Theme Music: The Legendary Starfy Opening 1, Densetsu no Stafy
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Starfius celestialus, Prince of Pufftop, Seven Years Old, Sleepyhead, Badass Adorable, Warrior Prince, Spin Attacks, Chronic Hero Syndrome
  • Domains: Ocean, Royalty, Friendship, Heroism
  • Heralds: Starly (his younger sister), Mama Star and Papa Star (his parents), Moe (his best friend), Old Man Lobber (his mentor)
  • Allies: Kirby, Patrick Star, Ecco, ABZU Diver, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, The Little Prince, Rosalina and the Lumas, The King Of All Cosmos, The Ultras of the Land of Light, Ristar, The Space Sheriffs, Andromeda, Laura and Star
  • Enemies: Ridley, Mother Brain, Don Horror, Scylla and Charybdis, Rahab, Yapool, Alien Empera, Anago, Dark Matter, Tamatoa, Sauron, Planet Remina, Solaris
  • Avoided by: Octogeddon
  • Starfy is the prince of Pufftop, a cloudy kingdom situated just above the sea. He has repeatedly gone on adventures to save his home and homes of his friends from evil forces, and each time at some point he ends up falling into the sea. Because of this, Starfy has taken on several starfish-like characteristics despite not actually being one, and spends a great deal of time on his adventures underwater and navigating the ocean.
  • His ascension into the Pantheon came about after one such instance of him falling into the sea. When Starfy swam to the surface, he found himself not back home, but at the front gates of the Pantheon, where he was informed that he had been selected to represent the Under the Sea trope for all his adventures beneath the waves. He was then taken to his temple, which fortunately for him contains a portal leading back to Pufftop so he can go to-and-from as he wishes. Since his arrival in the Pantheon however, Starfy has been spending most of his time there in order to make new friends.
  • Since his ascension, Starfy has become inseparable from Kirby, who was one of Starfy's friends in the Pantheon. It helps that the two share a lot of common interests, namely sleeping, and they can often be found playing together. Kirby has also taken Starfy under his wing and seems to have become a big brother-like figure to him. He is currently helping Starfy to become a better hero, should more dangerous evil forces than the likes of Ogura or Mashtooth ever find their way to Pufftop.
  • Given Starfy's experiences battling the space pirate Mashtooth, Starfy has naturally been wary of the space pirates in the Pantheon, particularly the likes of Ridley and Mother Brain given the list of crimes their faction of Space Pirates has committed. Don Horror is another space pirate Starfy is wary of, especially given how expansive the Makuu are as a criminal organization. By contrast, Starfy was relieved upon meeting the Gokaigers, as despite their status as pirates they're mostly just after treasure, and are even willing to help out others if they're ever being threatened, not that they say it much.
  • Given all of his adventures under the sea, Starfy was eager to visit the underwater portion of the Pantheon and meet some of the sea creatures who managed to ascend. One of the first he was able to befriend was Ecco the dolphin, whom Starfy was surprised to learn also had experience in battling aliens. While visiting Ecco, Starfy would also bump into the ABZU Diver, who immediately became fascinated with Starfy due to how unusual of a creature he is. She also bonded with him over their shared desire to protect nature from harm. In addition that, Patrick Star was quick to befriend Starfy after hearing about the Prince of Pufftop and believing him to be a fellow starfish. Some deities have tried explaining to Patrick that Starfy isn't a starfish but a member of species of star-like people, but this only made Patrick more confused. Regardless, Starfy himself gets along pretty well with Patrick, even if Patrick is still befuddled as to what Starfy is.
  • Starfy's interactions with other sea creatures haven't all been positive however. He quickly became enemies with Rahab after encountering the sea god and learning of the destruction he brought about with his army of sea monsters. For similar reasons, he doesn't like Scylla and Charybdis for the terror they unleash upon anyone who crosses their paths. He's also not too fond of Anago, as even if he isn't as big a threat as the others, Starfy still finds his nihilistic attitude to be unpleasant.
  • While Starfy doesn't see Octogeddon as a foe necessarily, he is unnerved to learn of the octopus chimera, since his size and surly attitude remind Starfy of the Big Squiddy he fought in the past. It naturally wasn't long before Starfy slighted Octogeddon without meaning to, enraging the giant octopus and causing it to attack Starfy. Starfy however was able to make short work of Octogeddon, having battled foes much stronger than him in the past, and while Starfy does seek to make amends with Octogeddon, for now the octopus is too afraid of Starfy to go near him.
  • Was excited to learn that the Pantheon contains a number of beings from outer space, as ever since the time he met Bunston the space rabbit, he's been eager to befriend more aliens. He was quick to make friends with the Little Prince, who reminds Starfy a lot of Bunston given how he's also the monarch of his own planet. The Little Prince has even invited Starfy to come to his planet. He also became friends rather easily with Ristar due to both being star-like beings. The Space Sheriffs would also go out of their way to make friends with Starfy, as they were greatly impressed with how Starfy defeated Mashtooth. They even offered to help Starfy out should the Makuu or any other evil-doers from space ever threaten Pufftop, and have even pondered inviting Starfy to join the Galactic Federal Police.
  • Starfy would also encounter Rosalina after she initially mistook him for one of her Lumas. The misunderstanding was quickly cleared up, and it wasn't long before Starfy became friends with not just Rosalina but the various Lumas under her care as well. Through her, Starfy would also meet the King Of All Cosmos. Despite Starfy being much smaller than him, the King was still impressed to hear of how Starfy defeated the space pirate Mashtooth by flinging a moon at him.
  • Laura became quite excited when she first saw Starfy, believing him to be another Sentient Star like the Star she befriended. While she soon found out that this was not the case, she was still happy to meet him, and Starfy on his part has become good friends with both her and Star. Andromeda also sees Starfy as kin, even though he technically isn't a literal star or made out of stars like she is, and commends him for being a fellow protector of outer space.
  • Though Starfy was relieved to hear that none of his foes had made it into the Pantheon, he wasn't happy to learn about the number of bad guys similar to them who are already present, and is worried that some of them may try to target Pufftop if they ever discover the location of his kingdom. He is particularly unsettled by Alien Empera given his reputation as a conqueror who deliberately targets worlds filled with light and the horde of kaiju he's conscripted to serve in his army, both of which for Starfy are bad reminders of Evil and how he forced Ogura to conquer Pufftop for him. At the same time though, Starfy was relieved to know that Empera's enemies, the Ultras of the Land of Light, were in the Pantheon as well.
  • Starfy also wasn't happy to learn of Planet Remina and Solaris, since they're two entities who are known for eating stars. Even if he isn't a literal star, Starfy still does his best to steer clear of them given how destructive they can be. Surprisingly, Planet Remina and Solaris are wary of Starfy as well, as they both heard about Starfy's incident with the moon and aren't eager to see what he'll do when pushed.

Jaws, The God Who's Made of Iron (Zbigniew Krycsiwiki, Requin, Tiburón)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jaws.png
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His metal teeth
  • Theme Music: Facing Jaws
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil originally, may now be closer to True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Made of Iron including in his balls, The Brute, Never stops getting back up, Implacable Man, Top enforcer of Karl Stromberg and then Hugo Drax, Breakout Villain, Stops being evil after falling in love
  • Domains: Strength, Endurance, Goons, Criminality
  • Herald: Dolly (his lover)
  • Occasional Employers: Tony Soprano, Vito and Michael Corleone, Carmen Sandiego, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, The Kingpin,
  • Allies: The Freaks, Bebop and Rocksteady
  • Enemies: Red Skull, Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse, Schwarz Sonne, HYDRA, Richmond Valentine, Chun-Li, RoboCop, Naoto Tamura/Jiban, Claire Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Ada Wong, Albert Wesker
  • Friendly Enemy: James Bond
  • Respects: Mike Ehrmantraut, Jules Winnfield, Team Fortress, Queen Hedrian
  • Interests: The Mann Brothers
  • Feared by: Bruce the Shark
  • One of the most notable henchmen that James Bond has ever encountered, Jaws is well known among the criminal underworld for his large stature and unbelievable toughness. The things he's survived included being run over, kicked out of a moving train, fighting a shark, and falling from a plane. Yet each time he emerged no worse for the wear and resumed his pursuit of James Bond. With the amount of things that Jaws has managed to survive despite appearing to be a normal human, the Court of the Gods deemed him a fitting representative for the Made of Iron trope.
  • In James Bond's last encounter with him, Jaws found redemption after falling in love with a nerdy young woman named Dolly. Given how his boss at the time, Hugo Drax, was a megalomaniac who sought to exterminate everyone who didn't meet his standards of "perfect", Jaws eventually realized that neither he nor his girlfriend would have a place in Drax's new world order and ended up allowing James Bond to foil his plan. Despite this, James was somewhat unnerved to learn that Jaws had made it into the Pantheon, given the amount of trouble Jaws caused him in the past. Jaws himself doesn't harbor any animosity towards James and views him as more akin to a friendly rival.
  • While he did betray Drax, Jaws hasn't completely left behind his life of crime. After he entered the Pantheon, began working as a hired goon for some of the criminal masterminds present in its underworld in order to make ends meet. Tony Soprano was eager to employ Jaws's services after hearing about his feats, and Jaws has since become a part-time enforcer for the DiMeo Crime Family, carrying out the jobs given to him with his usual ruthlessness and determination. It wouldn't be long before other mobsters took an interest in Jaws as well, with Vito Corleone in particular seeing Jaws as quite similar to his old hitman, Luca Brasi.
  • In addition to The Mafia, the Kingpin is another crime boss whom Jaws has worked for. The Kingpin actually personally sought out Jaws upon hearing of his ascension, especially since Jaws is one of the few "normal" deities who may be able to match him in a straight-up fight. The Shredder was also impressed by Jaws's tenacity and managed to get him to be a part-time bouncer for his criminal organization as well. In the process, Jaws was introduced to Bebop and Rocksteady, who came to see Jaws as a kindred spirit of theirs and have often invited him to join them when they're out causing havoc. Jaws was surprised to learn that several of their incarnations actually made a similar decision to him when he chose to turn against Drax in choosing to defect from the bad guys.
  • While Jaws has become fairly well known in the Pantheon's criminal underworld, his rising fame there has also drawn the attention of a number of crime-fighters in the Pantheon, and his work as a goon has naturally led to several clashes with them. One such deity was Chun-Li, who during one confrontation attempted to incapacitate him with a kick to the groin, only to be surprised to hear a metal-clanking sound as Jaws simply let out a laugh. Their fight would ultimately end however after Chun-Li delivered a kick strong enough to send Jaws flying. Despite landing in a crater, Jaws was quick to get up and dust himself off, no worse for the wear.
  • While Chun-Li has expressed a desire to fight Jaws again, Claire Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong all steer clear of him, as his tenacity and ruthlessness remind them far too much of Mr. X. They're somewhat lucky in the fact that Jaws refuses to work for Albert Wesker, seeing his ultimate plan as far too destructive and reminiscent of what Hugo Drax tried to pull, though this hasn't stopped him from pondering working for other deities with association to the Umbrella Corporation so long as they aren't too megalomaniacal.
  • Though Jaws may be back to a life of crime, he refrains from working for deities if their plans are too destructive, especially if they involve killing off all or most of human civilization, as he isn't eager to assist another Drax or anyone that would threaten his girlfriend. He isn't very fond of literal Nazis like Red Skull, Deathshead and the Schwartz Sonne for obvious reasons, especially since Drax's own Master Race ideology was a close parallel to theirs. He also declined a job offer from Richmond Valentine to act as muscle for him, as even if Richmond isn't as elitist as Drax, his plan to kill off most of humanity save for himself and a circle of carefully selected elites reminded Jaws too much of Drax and Stromberg's plans.
  • Mike Ehrmantraut has a lot of respect for Jaws and sees him as a fellow fixer, a sentiment that Jaws reciprocates. Though Mike himself has a strong code of principles when it comes to criminal dealings, even he was pretty understanding of Jaws's reasons for betraying Drax. Jaws also has some respect for Jules Winnfield, even if he did ultimately retire from a life of crime, as he sees Jules's decision to leave thanks to "divine intervention" as somewhat similar to his own decision to choose love over working for Drax.
  • The Freaks have expressed sympathy for Jaws and see him as one of them for being someone who's also "different" from most other people. Jaws himself took a liking to the Freaks not long after meeting them and has since become quite protective of them, to the point where he'll go out of his way to thrash anyone who picks on them. Jaws has also been quite curious about Bruce the Shark, given how the shark is responsible for his nickname. Bruce however is much more wary of Jaws, given the fact that Jaws's list of feats includes fighting a shark underwater and winning.
  • The Mann Brothers have both become interested in employing Jaws since his entrance into the Pantheon. This led to a massive bidding war between the two of them as both seek to get Jaws on their side. Jaws himself is still unsure of which brother he should work for, although he does respect Team Fortress as fellow goons-for-hire.
  • Given the fact that Jaws is one of the most prominent enemies that James Bond has faced in his career, he naturally drew the attention of Bond's greatest nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, upon his ascension. Blofeld was greatly impressed by his feats and how he managed to put James Bond on the defensive in most of their encounters, and thus sought to employ Jaws as muscle for SPECTRE. Jaws would agree to Blofeld's offer, although despite this he's made it clear that he still has nothing personal against James Bond, and if anything is looking forward to confronting James Bond again.

Just imagine something here.

The Omnidroids, Unholy Machines Tailor-Made to Terminate
  • The Omnidroids are a series of battle robots designed by the supervillain Syndrome as part of his plan to pose as a hero. Following the Super Registration Act, he has summoned several superheroes to Nomanisan Island under the false pretense that the Omnidroid went rogue after questioning its programming, and used the robot to kill them one by one. Each time a super manages to destroy it, Syndrome upgrades it to counter whatever powers said super defeated it with. After Mr. Incredible got defeated by the Omnidroid V.9, Syndrome deployed its next version to destroy a city so that he will introduce himself as the new 'superhero', 'defeat' the robot and 'save' the people. Unfortunately, he did not take into account that the V.10 would also target him when trying to stage the fight as it analyzed the remote he was controlling it with and knocked him out before continuing its rampage through the city undeterred. It took the combined teamwork of both the Parrs family and Frozone to bring down the gigantic behemoth and save the city.
