Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@Derivities house, would Roboking qualify since his Trope is Replacement Goldfish, meaning he's meant to be a replacement anyway?

Time to rise and shine. Good morning!

I suppose he fits that more than clones and counterparts. OK, I'll take a look on it

While I am pretty happy with the progress I've made and am willing to accept votes, if you have anything else let me know

  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Dovahkiin, Tatsumaki, Alucard
  • Rivals: Rand al'Thor (Edward)
  • Enemies
  • On poor terms with: Victor Frankenstein (Edward)
  • The Elric brothers have endured tragedy almost from the very beginning of his life. Dad walked out on the family, mom died of an illness, they tried using that alchemy to resurrect said mom with ingredients that together make up a human body... and ended up losing Ed's arm and leg and Al's whole body to The Truth for their troubles. Al's soul would've gone too, except Ed drew a seal in his own blood within a suit of vintage armor which once belonged to their father to keep the younger Elric brother around. Then they became part of the Amestris state military, with Ed as the official State Alchemist codenamed Fullmetal and Al as the unofficial sidekick/proof of Ed's skill... and proceeded to go through the death of at least one comrade and then learn the horrible truth about an Ancient Conspiracy and how all the above events were connected.
    • Inevitably, though, the Elrics and their friends both in and out of the military were able to defeat the masters of the conspiracy; the Homunculus from the Gate who called himself Father along with the "children" of his seven sins, as well as the many sellouts of Central Command. Al ended up giving himself up to the Truth to give Ed his arm (and peak conditioning) back during the final fight against Father, being one of two key assists to help Ed finish Father off. Ed was able to gett Al's original body back (albeit largely emaciated) in exchange for Ed's alchemy.
  • Applies to the Elric brothers
    • When offered this seat, Edward went on a rant about how alchemy is science, not magic or miracles or anything like that, since he has to actually carefully study and understand the elements involved in order to be able to do anything. It was pointed out to him that clapping your hands and altering the world around you is basically magic. He took the seat on the condition that they would at least acknowledge that there was a science within it, leading to a unique situation where he is a member of the Houses of Magic and Science, though he very much relates to the latter. Asuna Kagurazaka agreed to this. It wasn't too long before his brother joined him under Animated Armor, however he felt it wasn't the best choice. Yeah, it's iconic, but Alphonse has managed to get his human body back and now the old armor that once hosted his consciousness is left to rust. Eventually, a decision was made to join his brother under the same Alchemy Is Magic seat. A replica of the old armor was made for him to use as armor in case needed.
      • Though they had some issues at first, what with him leaving them before their mother's death, Edward and Alphonse Elric have managed to patch things up with their father Van Hohenheim. Ironically as he was about to die, he wanted to keep on living, and he intends to make up for lost times and be more of a dad to them. Edward was escatic to see his childhood friend eventually turned wife Winry Rockbell ascend, and she was hardly their only ally to make it to the Trope Pantheon. Kimblee was somewhat of an awkward re-appearance. He had been their enemy, however he ended up saying Ed from Pride because he was disgusted by Pride's hypocrisy in trying to take his body to save himself and restrained him long enough for Pride to be neutralized. While his 2003 self is an enemy for a number of reasons, the original Solf J Kimblee has decided to honor what happened by not harasing them. Obviously, that doesn't mean they like each other.
      • Edward coldly told Father to "go back to nothing", being the one to deliver the killing blow and eventually him facing despair at the hands of the Truth. Father remembers this, and though he claims humans like him are so beneath him as to not be worthy of contempt, he is clearly still infuriated by the Elric brothers and it's probably one aspect of his alliance with the family's other Arch-Enemy; Dante of the Deep Forest. Envy was eager to get back at them, especially due to their relationship with the brothers in the 2003 anime. That said, the Elric brothers are mainly their original manga/Brotherhood selves with memories of their incarnations there. For example, they mainly remember Barry the Chopper as a Token Evil Teammate, though also...not. However there is no-one they see as a larger wretch and worst kind of pathetic as Shou Tucker, who's actions towards his wife and later daughter for a research grant and personal attacks almost led Ed to killing
    • For those wondering how Ed can use alchemy in the Trope Pantheon, the Truth gave him it as a sort of gift afforded by his status as the pantheonic god of Alchemy Is Magic. Ed thinks the idea of him being a god is ridiculous, though he and Al recognize it as more so a title than genuine divinity, something the older brother doesn't really believe in. Yes, the irony is clear, though given the Truth the Nay-Theist outlook is understandable. The two got into a debate with the Hogwarts trio about it, along with a discussion about Functional Magic. Still, they consider each other allies, learning to use their different fields against villains like Father's homunculi or Lord Voldemort; Harry and the Elric brothers were very much in agreement Voldemort can never realize the nature of the Philosopher's Stone from the latter's settting. Hermione is particular interested in expanding her study of alchemy, as while it has a role in her own 'verse, it's not nearly as influential compared to Amestris. And yes, all three were horrified learning about the other Philosopher's Stone. Fortunately Nicholas Flamel's stone is by all indications simply a fluke magical accident and didn't have anything insidious involved in its creation.
    • He and Al were invited to Asami Sato's party to celebrate Korra gaining a new seat in the Pantheon. They brought along Winry and, at Al's insistence, Hohenheim, and were both scared stiff to see that Major General Armstrong was there and actually friends with Korra's police chief and Greed's new target of desire. He was also the one who deduced from the strange commentary surrounding Illyasviel von Einzbern and her friendship with Hercules that the Greatest Hero of Greece was in fact Illya's infamous scary giant Berserker. A funny moment took place when he tried to introduce his future wife to Korra's girlfriend Asami, only to discover that Winry had already met the Sato heiress, along with MANY other "mechanics" in the Pantheon. The Elric brothers have ended up getting along with Android 17 and 18, sympathizing with how they were experimented on by Dr Gero. Speaking of Android 20, he scoffs at their experience with human transmutation, boasting his ability to modify humans without direct consequence. That pisses them off like you wouldn't believe.
    • Later, the Elric brothers stuck around for the Krew's post-party conversation with Greed. They provided additional context to Greed's re-tellings of the ordeal against Homunculus and his progeny, and whenever Greed almost talked his way into trouble with his "avaricious" persona Ed was there to snark it back down to size. One highlight was when he burst into laughter when he learned the chief's name was Lin, all too similar to Ling Yao. Ed was also the least surprised to hear Greed criticize how Lin handled breaking up with Tenzin, given his insistence on never telling lies, or talk about wanting to mentor Korra's earthbender friend Bolin, knowing how the man's history started with both Ling and Alphonse.
    • Despite the animosity of Father's homunculi, the Elric brothers were more curious than anything at the Powerpuff Girls, who are technically homunculi, however were created with love and the intention to be a family for Professor Utonium; them getting superpowers was a nice accident. Everything Shou Tucker isn't, he is, and they respect him for it along with how heroic the girls are. Another homunculus creator they're on way better terms with is Ilia, and she got to learn plenty of how alchemy in their work went, and even got along with Winry Rockbell due to shared interests in engineering and gadgets. Her homunculus is herself known as Mordecai, and her backstory is that of someone orphaned early on (in her case, she was adopted by a fairy). So naturally, they get along wiht her.
    • They respect Vash, Kenshin, and Kanji. The former two for their views against killing others practically sacrosant, and the latter for loving his mother. They genuinely love their mamas. Avatar Aang end up becoming friends with his friendly childish nature reminding him of Alphonse. The bond became further entrenched when they recognized each other's tremendous value for life, refusing to kill if it's at all unnecessary and coming to the same realization he did about how the connection between one and all. Ed is also somewhat friendly with Aang's successor Korra. Though the two can butt heads when competing or disagreeing on something, they both respect each other and will come to the other's defense when faced with a common threat.
    • The Elric brothers are utterly disgusted at the depravity of Relius Clover because the latter's actions are similar to Shou Tucker. Wesker's also high on their target list, considering he and Relius are allies, with the purpose of seeking perfection. Ghetsis is no different than the rest of his enemies, though his abuse of N was a more long game type and he personally thinks Shou Tucker is an idiot with low ambitions. He still has no idea about a certain trigger Relius and Wesker implanted in his automail arm, though, mainly because the trigger broke without activating when his arm got busted in a fight shortly thereafter. Ragyo Kiryuin shows that moms can be just as terribly abusive, and her selling out humanity to the Life Fibres remind them of Father and the treacherous High Command. Due to the many evil gods that betray their family members to achieve some depraved goal, he is willing to be a member of Jin Kazama's anti-parental abuse club. However, since none of his parents abused him in his childhood, he is not a full-time member.
    • The Joker has incurred their wrath when the clown prince left a few messages pretending to be Ed's mother and Nina Tucker. To say Ed didn't find it funny would be an understatement. Even though Alphonse, Roy Mustang, Alex Armstrong and Batman tried to stop him from doing something he'll regret, what made Edward stop was when he noticed Joker kept laughing as Ed was hitting and choking him. He and his brother Alphonse are baffled at how Rias Gremory has the magical ability to change her breast size without giving up something in exchange. As a result, he, along with many other deities, in this house, is trying to investigate the cause of this in order to not look like a pervert.
    • They've expressed some interest in forming an alchemist guild, a choice that was applauded by Tyrion as he believes it would be a lot more applicable and useful than the Westerosi Alchemist Guild. Of course, their main priority is the study and production of wildfire...nasty stuff. Also, he gave them sound advice; don't let the Mad King hear about it. Given his "burn them all!" order, they agree its good advice. The Elric brothers want to study other types of alchemy, which is why they have gone to deities from other 'verses with their request. These requests have been accepted by the The Alchemists of Arland, Vayne Aurelius and the Flay Cave, essentially becoming a small cliche in the House of Magic and Sorcery. After observing this, Dumbledore has concluded Hogwarts could benefit from increasing the budget to their own alchemical studies. They get on particularly well with Vayne, Jess, and Roxis for being the most dedicated in the study, with Vayne ringing memory bells as the son of a legendary alchemist who became immortal from a traumatizing event. Both feel sorry to Jess for an "alchemy curing process" accidentally shortening her lifespan and are working for a cure.
    • When Elfnein and Carol ascended they approached the Elric brothers, fascinated of a universe where the practice of alchemy was seen as normal barring the more sinister arts but it was also motivated out of a concern regarding Carol. Elfnein was quick to vouch for Carol, accepting that while she had committed many sins Carol also came through for her multiple times and even helped save the world from Shem-ha with no strings attached, even if it came at the cost of her life that Elfnein spent so much time trying to salvage. The two were more at ease with this situation, especially Ed despite there being enough similarities for him and Carol to clash as he eventually gave up the ability to use alchemy for good to save Al when he gave up himself to save him from Father. While brothers left on agreeable terms with both (though they were closer to Elfnein) their allies from back home, however, were obviously quite distrustful of Carol. Not helping things is Carol herself not being in any hurry to try and convince them otherwise. For what it’s worth, they do share a common enemy in the form of Father and his followers such as the Homunculi (barring Greed) and Dante, as well as other malicious alchemists like Relius Clover.
  • Specific to Edward Elric
    • The Fullmetal Alchemist and older of the Elric brothers, on the surface he's decidedly stubborn and strong-willed, frequently letting his pettiness and vindictiveness get the better of him. However, for those few people who have made an impact on him, his deeper nature has marked selflessness, unflinching loyalty, and great compassion. He's been humbled by his past and while an Insufferable Genius, he never flouts his military rank or talent in alchemy. At some point Asuna, the one who agreed for the house that his alchemy could be called science-powered magic, approached him and asked to practice using her Anti-Magic ability against his alchemy. The result officially proved both sides' point—she could only somewhat minimize the effects of his alchemic attacks on her person and immediate area, but never fully cancel them out. Because of this, Asuna approached him about getting into the House of Science shortly after its creation, resulting in a meeting with the Court of the Gods which ultimately got his seat duplicated there.
    • Ed has a standing in the Hall of Cybernetics and Enhancements due to his automail prosthetics. While he eventually got his right arm back, he still has a prosthetic leg. He still needs to apply regular maitenance and it's not cheap, nor does he treat it lightly. Edward Elric has been studying the cybernetics Adam Jensen has, finding him quite agreeable with his Technical Pacifist personality. While Edward Elric and Tony Stark sometimes squabble they consider each other allies, sharing a passion for the technological and views on science. Of course there is the dark side of cybernetics, like as already mentioned Dr Gero, who unwillingly turned two teens into cyborgs. He also put his brain in an android model, and given his relationship with Android 21 or how Android 16 was modeled after his son he's clealry not someone who can move past his bereavement. Ed's just as horrified by Winry at the Cybermen.
    • While both brothers have a fair amount of hardship, it is Ed who has the focus on Character Development, growing out of his Hot-Blooded attitude and learning to depend more on his friends and share his burdens. Ed and Al have learned through the hard way the With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility, and he has taken it to heart. Naturally, he gets along with Spiderman, though he's upset at the "Parker luck" Peter keeps having. For example, he avoids any attempt at restoring his leg as he wants a reminder of his journey and the consequences of his actions. Ed is similar to Victor Frankenstein with their fascination with alchemy and an obsession with reviving the dead after losing their mother, leading to disastrous results. However he's managed to grow beyond it rather than go on a downward spiral, so he doesn't like Victor.
    • His working relationship with Jin Kisaragi, who he often calls "Ice Jerk" due to his aloof Jerkass Façade, mirrors that between him and Mustang. Also considers Guile's hairstyle odd, referring to it as a "circletop", and has a bit of a mixed opinion on Charlie Nash due to how he got revived by The Illuminati. He's become allies with Gust over their mutual skills at Alchemy however Gust's height for her age bugs Ed frequently. Gained respect for Ajani Goldmane after noting that Ajani was the one who allowed Al to keep shifting between his body and his armor in the Pantheon without using human transmutation or the Philosopher's Stone. He's rather uneasy with Dovakhiin due to the fact that the God of Dragonslaying keeps using Soul Gems so carelessly, knowing how they are so similar to Philosopher's Stones. The Dovahkiin always defends his actions by claiming that they either contain the souls of bandits, wolves or giant rats, which doesn't really help his case as far as the Fullmetal Alchemist is concerned
    • Got a visit from the mysterious Red Ribbon Android 21 shortly after she ascended to the Pantheon. She'd heard that he took part in a project to create an Earthling Soul fit for her world; said soul had discovered that 21 had been turned into something with powers and a hunger she was never meant to have. While he maintains he had nothing to do with it, he sympathized with her since the experiments happened for the same reasons as he and Al's attempt to bring their mother back to life. Overall, the two made friends while talking science, and the way she was both innocent and intelligent made it almost like talking with Al as a girl. It was a very easy conversation and he's glad to call her a friend. An unusual connection was also found with Captain Kirk, and they got along while also being impressed with what each other carried — Ed's magical science, and Kirk's almost magical technology.
    • Unless you like being yelled at or having your ass kicked don't bring up his height. And don't say it has something to do with him not drinking milk; he thinks it's disgusting. While they're normally on good terms, with Ed admiring the healing abilities of Crazy Diamond and his good heart, he got in a fight with Josuke Higashikata when he made the mistake of calling his pompadour stupid. Josuke got mad and brought up his height, leading to a squabble with Josuke just going "yare yare" out of embarassment for his unclenote . Seeing as how Lord Farquaad is frustrated by his own height and is Compensating for Something, you think there'd be some sort of commentary, however Ed just sees him as a tinpot tyrant who's treatment of fairytale creatures is pretty damn scummy. Shoyo can relate to his frustration regarding height, though more so due to how it affects his ability to play volleyball, so he knew how to relate and sympathize with Ed without either of them bringing their beserk buttons up.
  • Specific to Alphonse Elric
    • In many ways, Alphonse's calm and passive disposition exists as a foil to his older brother's more abrasive personality. Al is kindhearted, notably compassionate and patient almost to a fault, retaining a childlike purity in the face of all his encountered horrors. Despite his age, he has always displayed a significantly higher level of maturity than Edward. However he is plagued with insecurities about his own uncertain existence inside a suit of armor. Al is better at motivating and convincing people of their worth through words alone. For example, he's the only one outside of Greed, the one good homunculus, to get human chimera soldiers to voluntarily join his side, simply by convincing them that they were still human despite the experimentation. Androids 17 and 18 like him for this reason. When they first met, Greed wanted to learn how to become immortal through soul-bonding like Al's case with his armor. This pissed Ed off since he knew Al was emotionally troubled about his inability to feel things as a disembodied soul.
    • Alphonse Elric, before joining his brother under the same roof, held the trope of Animated Armor. Part of why he is now sharing the trope of Alchemy Is Magic is because he no longer possesses the suit of armor, though it is still an important part of his history. The Skull Knight has taken notice of this history, as he was once a man who's spirit is now bound to a skeletal-themed set of armor. He's given approval to both for being strugglers keeping up the good fight against the inhumans. The Elric brothers are good with kids, but it was Al who was able to get along with Freddy Fazbear and his animatronic friends, despite not being fond of their past habit of killing guards due to suspecting they may be their murderer. As they're kids haunting animatronic suits, he can sympathize with their situation. William Afton was interested in the blood seal and series of events that led Alphonse to become a possessed suit of armor, and is now trying to better understand alchemy and implement it into his research on remnant. Of course, neither Elric brothers will let that happen.
    • Much of the angst of being a suit of armor was a lack of sensation. He's naturally saddened by the state the Five Survivors were in, however he also learned that a large part of AM's hatred for humanity is being trapped in "an eternal straightjacket of substrata rock". Though he can see his anger, AM is so monstrous as to make his lashing out unjustifiable, and he has no intention of letting himself or anyone else near the mad computer. Al is a lot more amiable with Anakin, even if he's uncomfortable with his past as Vader. Not blaming him for that, Anakin likes Al for his sincerely nice he is, and he sympathizes with his time as a suit of armor. During his time as Vader asides from the chronic pain from his third degree burns and other injuries, his senses became dulled from said injuries even/alongside the cybernetics implanted in him.
    • Gets along really well with Avatar Aang due to their similar friendly attitudes and refusal to casually take or abuse life. Also likes Korra, Aang's successor, though he does find himself breaking up an argument between her and Ed at times since they're both tough-minded and headstrong. Between this and how similar the Avatars' past life connection is to the walking Philosopher's Stones, he thinks Korra would get along really well with his father. More generally speaking he's also befriended Android 16 due to being a kind-hearted non-organic giant who considers life precious, "the non-organic giant" being specific to his armor-soul state. Of the Flay Cave Al's Animated Armor status fascinates Pamela as she's made friends with many undead monsters akin to it. With how permanent death is in their world Al was surprised at her status as a ghost.
    • Whenever he visits the House of Beasts and Fauna cats have a tendency to mysteriously disappear after he has spent time there alone, especially in his armor form. Other cat owners are also extra wary when Al enters their residing House. That said, the cats usually turn up where they were supposed to be later on when he realizes they're safe. He was just trying to protect them. He and Sakaki have bonded over their common love of cats. He's loved stew ever since he could remember. Seriously. Even back when he was a kid before losing his body, whenever he was told stew was waiting for him at home he would shout an enthusiastic "FUCK YEAH!" Though he loves cats, he has nothing good to say about Katz, a vicious Serial Killer and supervillain.
    • Alphonse Elric in his armored form couldn't be more of a contrast to Mordekaiser if he tried. The Iron Revenant is a brutal warlord without a drop of affection towards others, while Al is an utterly sweet-hearted individual. Like his brother, he hates Relius Clover for the atrocities he inflicted on his own family, and other atrocities in the name of scientific research. Given his prior status as Animated Armor, Princess Zelda is sympathetic to him. In one incarnation, her body was stolen by the demon Malladus leaving her as a spirit. One upside to this was being able to take possession of Animated Armors known as Phantoms to directly assist Link in his adventure.

  • Winry Rockbell is the childhood friends of the Elric brothers, granddaughter of automechanic Pinkao Rockbell, who raised her following Winry's parents dying in the Ishvalan Civil War. She's cheerful, strong-willed, bubbly, hot-headed and empathetic girl who loves everything about automails and mechanics that she always puts all her heart and effort into her work. Edward calls her a "engineering otaku" or a "crazy gearhead", while she always calls him "an otaku alchemist" in response. She's skilled in surgery and first aid, and is the main mechanic for the automail arm and leg prosthetics. Don't be reckless and break the automail or she'll bring the wrench. She's not a fighter nor does she have the stomach for it, but she can always be counted on as a mechanic and a friend. She has a crush on Edward Elric, which eventually blossoms into a full-blown relationship. When they're adults the two eventually marry and have two kids, a boy and a girl.
  • The seat for Wrench Wench was left vacant after its previous holder, Gadget Hackwrench, moved to claim the trope of Furry Female Mane. Noting this absence, Edward Elric realized there was only one other person who can hold this title; his automail mechanic childhood friend Winry Rockbell. The Court of the Gods agreed with his decision, and brought her up to the Pantheon. It also helps that he was looking for such an opening in the first place because no one knows his automail better than her. Them being married is another reason she was ascended. With her grandmother Pinako, Winry's temple was opened as an atelier named Rockbell Automail, though it now does much more than that, given the Pantheon and all of her followers. Her services are open for those with prosthetic limbs, and in time she's been able to do more than her standard automail. Making them transform into other stuff is not in her foray, however.
    • When Ed told her that Maes Hughes had made it to the Pantheon with Gracia and Elicia as his heralds, Winry chucked her wrench at him thinking it was a joke, then cried tears of joy when she realized he was serious. She then promptly pored over her kitchen stove in order to make her best apple pie, taking both Ed and Al with her to the Hughes temple when she was finished so that Maes could finally get a chance to try it with his family. While Maes and Elicia observed that it was different from Gracia's recipe, they still found it delicious. She tearfully thanked and hugged the Brigadier General. With her ascension, the matter of Father and the homunculi who served him, along with Dante became an issue. Like the Elric brothers' other allies, she takes offense at their arrival.
    • When she first met the alchemist killer Scar face to face, she at the same time learned the horrible truth that he had killed her parents after they fixed him up in a moment of madness. In short order, she had the chance to kill him, which he did not begrudge her for, but Edward was able to stop her in time. When they next met, she patched up an injured Scar instead of taking the chance for revenge, because that's what her parents would've done, remarking however that she still can't forgive such a "monster". Naturally, she's uncomfortable around the Ishvalan, even though he too is genuinely helping out over at the House of Health and Diseases. As for the lion with the same name, both can agree that he is the absolute worst.
  • After successfully "setting up shop", Winry went to visit every engineer in the Pantheon, starting with her sub-house neighbors Agatha and Dell, expressing amazement at the Spark's inventions, and feeling concerned for the Texan, and then her House neighbors Torbjörn and Tony before leaving the House of Technology to visit the others. She started with the former holder Gadget Hackwrench, then visited Isaac Clarke, Tali, Charlotte Yeager, Bulma (and had the courtesy of meeting both present and future Trunks as well as Vegeta), Betty, Tinker Bell (after an anonymous tip, and to everyone's surprise, since not everybody knows of her gadgeteering skills), Abby Sciuto, Ruby, Scootaloo (and offered to tutor the pegasus filly), Asami (and feels a little weird hearing about Korra being her girlfriend), and Pearl. She did avoid Penelope Mouse and Dr. Gero after her encounters with them turned disastrous. Also, while she would've voted Pey'j as a skilled mechanic, and respects him both for that and being a good parental figure to Jade and the oprhans at their home, his fart-fuelled jet boots were a bit too crass for her to take seriously.
  • Shortly after this, she was taken to a party by Ed, Al, and their father Hohenheim that Asami was hosting to celebrate Korra's change of seat. She and Asami got a chance to chat again, as did the brothers and Korra; cue the big "you know each other" moment and a brief chat between the five of them. During this party, Kirie Sakurame noticed that Korra wasn't the only one with reason to celebrate, as her friend Touta Konoe now had his seat to himself as well, plus Winry as well as Korra's mentor Tenzin had ascended. Al promptly used his alchemy to add them all to the commemoration banner. She and Kirie made fast friends after that. After the party, she was accompanied back to her temple by Hohenheim. Tails and Kazuichi Soda would've shown up to the party, and they're mechanics who are already friendly with her, but their mail got lost. She made sure the mail to Flay Gunnar wouldn't be lost as he's the most mechanically inclined of the Flay Cave, having created his own computer, walkie-talkies, and wielding a mechsword, with him showing interest in Winry's work on automail in turn.
  • Audrey used to be one her followers, however she eventually made her way into the Trope Pantheon with the other surviving members of Milo's expedition. The two are close time-wise since both of their stories take place in the 1910s, which was an interesting detail the two noted. They're both child prodigies, yet Winry was impressed how fast Audrey picked up on making automail once she explained the basis. Both of them really like their position in the House of Machinery and Technology, not just because it's where many of her engineer friends congregate or even are found there, but because of how crazy advanced some of the machinery is. She would love to get the go-ahead to use one of Tony Star's armors, and he's come to like her enough that he gave her a tribute in an Iron Man armor with the same aesthetic as automail. Wave of the Babylon Rogues admits Winry's skills are almost as good as her own, though almost is key given her superiority complex and abrasive attitude. They're rivals in the mechanical field, though they both like each other's choice of clothes.
  • Given her parents' profession when they were alive, not to mention having to fix Edward's automail arm and leg plenty of times, Winry also has a remarkable wealth of surgical knowledge. As such, she also sometimes helps out in the House of Health and Diseases, especially for the patients who need artificial limbs to replace their missing ones. She wished she was ascended earlier to help with Sora's (and Roxas's) lost leg. She also has a pretty mean throwing arm, able to pitch heavy wrenches long distances with deadly accuracy, as Ed and Al can attest to. While not of much importance, she's also learned how to bake (apple) pies. Winry is a deeply compassionate girl and is a pacifist. She has a good amount of respect for the sheer forgiveness and determination of Kenzo Tenma.
  • She grew up in a family of surgeons, with her parents being medics during the Ishvalan War. Winry has a remarkable wealth of surgical knowledge for her age, though she lacks any formal training. Bentley Turtle has commented on her skills during one of the mechanic's visits, and after Penelope Mouse betrayed the team he sees her as a friend to make and someone to bond over their technological hobbies. Generally she gets along with the friendly physicians in the pantheon like Litchi Faye-Ling and Ratchet. Unfortunately there are a number of surgeons present that believe in the Hypocritical Oath and despite their legitimate skill in their field, in most situations you do not want to go under the knife. The Medic, Fran and Qyburn don't intend to harass her or cause problems for her or anything, but she obviously isn't going to like them.
  • Getting angry at Ed whenever he breaks his automail appendages is understandable given they aren't Plug 'n' Play Prosthetics he's dealing with. Automail connects directly to the nervous system and it takes a long time for the patient to be accustomed to their new prosthetics. It takes three years on average to make a full recovery, though there are some exceptional cases of six months. Even then, it requires continued maitenance for the wearer. Adam Jensen and Victor Stone like her attitude about it and have allowed her to study some of their schematics, though she doesn't to admit with Victor what he's rocking is way beyond her understanding. Cyborg was able to open up about her to talk a bit about the difficult relationship with father, and alluding to his mom being killed in the same accident that made him a cyborg, something the Elric brothers were also able to sympathize with.
  • Despite her love of automail and other technology, the Cybermen aspires only unnease from her. While they originated with a noble goal, that being using machinery to sustain their life from a hostile environment, they ended up cutting out their humanity and to anyone unconverted their existence is a Fate Worse than Death. To Winry, the Cybermen represent the dark side of her passion, without any of the heart or ethical consideration. Fortunately, she is beneath their notice. Winry Rockbell isn't fond of the Nazis, which is quite common, and given the government under Amestris committed genocide against the Ishvalans. Nazis with advanced technology being in the same hall as her? Well it wouldn't be as bad as Deathshead himself there, but she really doesn't like it.
  • While he never says it outright, Vegeta thinks that her and Edward are a cute couple, though he sees some of Bulma in her. Vegeta used to be a ruthless conqueror however him time on Earth following working with the heroes has transitioned him to a more heroic character (if still with a bad boy streak). Winry is astounded by the technology available at Capsule Corp and loves to talk technology with Bulma, forming an Intergenerational Friendship, Their son (both versions) get along with the Wrench Wench too. Another family that she gets along with is the Light family. While robots, much less A.I is still way in the potential future for her world, she's thrilled for the day it will be and she's friendly with Dr Light's daughter Roll. While she's one to throw a wrench at Dr Wily for all the evil things he did, Wily himself sees Nothing Personal and he thinks she would've made a good roboticist if she was born a century later.

@wootzits: For Soren, Clockwerk was a large owl who had such strong hatred for his enemies, the Cooper Clan, that he made himself into a metallic, immortal monstrosity. Mrs. Brisby I could see getting to know him as she has already had a scarier encounter with The Great Owl in her world. Among the Heroes of New Alberia, Alex (Dragalia Lost) was an orphan that was indoctrinated by corrupt clergy to become a secret assassin for the Ilian Church, later reformed with help from her childhood friend Elisanne.

@rmpdc: [tup] for your profile.

[up][up][up][up] For the Elric brothers I would also mention Ilia, who is one of The Auspexes, having been a skilled engineer and alchemist from a technologically advanced past, having also created a homunculus herself known as Mordecai (further details in profile), and also being orphaned very early on and having a fairy named Meene adopt her. Add something for that and I'll give a [tup] for both profiles.

@ Necromancer 10: I have added your suggestion. So does your vote go into effect now?

@ Killbus: Yes, I can see it. Also, not going to blame you for having more villain profiles; I find writing bad guy profiles to be more fun. Would be OK if people review your sandbox and suggest interactions for you on the forum? If you are, are the other guys cool with it

  • One of two British Airborne Divisions established during the Second World War, the 1st Airborne Division are considered some of the British Army's most elite fighting forces, alongside the likes of the members of the Special Operations Executive, Royal Marine Commandos, and Special Air Service. Originally established as the 1st Parachute Brigade in 1941, they would see actions during the North African Campaign, where the Germans called the Paras "The Red Devils", due to their exceptional performance in combat. As a Division, they would then be deployed to Sicily in 1943, where they would help secure the island against determined Italian and German resistance.
  • Following the increase of Nazi German and Fascist Italian presence in the Pantheon, Allied Forces, in response, decided to begin bolstering their own forces. The British presence in the Pantheon, which up until this point only included elements of the Battlehawks and personnel from the British 7th Armored Division, decided to begin adding in more units to counter the German reinforcements also ascending at the same time. Among the first units to be deployed to combat this new threat were the Paratroopers of the 1st Airborne Division.
  • With Eindhoven and Hell's Highway, both locations in the Netherlands, already serving as part of the massive Domains Expansion within the Pantheon, it was only a matter of time before other deities associated with the location and time period would ascend as well. The Red Devils would assist members of the US 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions in defending the former two Dominions from counterattacks by elite German infantry and armored formations, just as they did originally in their universe. And, unfortunately, like in their home universe, their communications were still not in their best condition, with many of their radios still being faulty upon their redeployment to their combat area of operations. Compared to their previous deployment, however, the Red Devils, thanks to being in regular contact with and having support from US Airborne Forces this time around, were overall less prone to cases of their poor communications dooming them. In addition, they were also in the process of receiving newer, working radios, which would hopefully solve their communication situation.
    • Among their closest allies in the US Armed Forces are Lt. James Steven Patterson of the OSS, as well as Easy Company of the 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division. Both had assisted the 1st Airborne during Operation Market-Garden in different capacities, saving the lives of untold numbers of their men in the process. Patterson had personally assisted several of Lt. Col. John Frost's men in attempting to defend Arnhem, helping to deliver to them vital medical supplies and taking out German machine gun positions and tanks, with the Paras returning the favor by helping Patterson rendezvous with a Dutch Resistance operative at the cost of some of their lives. Easy Company, meanwhile, had helped a number of British Paratroopers that were Trapped Behind Enemy Lines by covering their escape from German-held areas of the Netherlands.
  • Inevitably, much like in their home universe, some Paras would end up getting captured by Axis soldiers. Those who end up becoming POWs end up rather surprised by their varying treatment at the hands of their German captors. While some units like the Fallschirmjagers and the Heer Infanterie treat them reasonably well and with respect, others, particularly soldiers from HYDRA as well as Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse, treat them brutally, such as forcing them to be slave labor in their production facilities, or worse, turned into test subjects for cruel experiments. Fortunately for the Red Devils, many of the Western Allied deities that are ascended, such as Manon Batiste, Lt. Karl Fairburne, and Lt. Mike Powell, all of whom have experience in irregular warfare, sabotage, and infiltration, manage to free them from capture at one point or another. With this, news of HYDRA's and Deathshead's treatment of prisoners-of-war spreads, motivating many British paratroopers to continue fighting rather than surrendering or risking capture. Fortunately for the Paras, none of them have been captured by the Four Libertines, who would have forced the captives to be physically, mentally, and even sexually tortured before being killed slowly.
  • While mainly deployed in Dominions associated with the Netherlands, these British Paratroopers can also be seen operating in other sectors of the Pantheon, such as the Principality of Eylstadt, Omaha Beach, and even as far as War-Torn Berlin, often assisting other Western Allied units. In Eylstadt, the Paras, much like the American Paratroopers already deployed there, help train soldiers of the Eylstadt Army, particularly in the use of British weaponry that they're supplying to them as part of an effort to bolster the small country's defenses. Behind Omaha Beach, the Paras help sabotage German defenses, namely capturing and destroying radar stations, destroying artillery pieces, capturing French villages, and stalling German supply convoys and reinforcements. And while not deployed in Berlin proper, a number of them are often seen scouting the areas just outside the German capital, helping support the efforts of OSS operatives like Lt. Karl Fairburne and Sgt. Jack Barnes, both of whom have themselves worked closely with British paratroopers during different points of the War in Europe.
  • Unsurprisingly for the Paras, they're most often seen fighting against various Nazi German units stationed around the Pantheon, both in offensive and defensive battles. Their most recurring enemies are elements of the Waffen-SS, not unlike whom they fought in their home universe. Compared to the soldiers they fought back there, these Waffen-SS soldiers are still competent foes overall, but compared to other German units such as the Fallschirmjager, are not as dangerous as they look. In addition to them, they also regularly engage Wehrmacht units such as the aforementioned Fallschirmjager, their Evil Counterpart in the German Forces, the regular Heer Infanterie of the German Army, the elite Schutzvollstrecker, as well as elements of the organization HYDRA, specifically the Nazi Deep Science Division and Deathshead's Commandos, the latter three being noticeably better-trained and better armed than regular Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS units. Due to their training as paratroopers and size as a unit, they're mainly kept for conventional military operations such as airborne landings or supporting seaborne invasions, rather than being deployed for special operations similar to OSS or SOE operatives. Though, as mentioned, they are capable of being deployed to help smaller operations due to their expertise in unconventional warfare and being accustomed to operate while Trapped Behind Enemy Lines.
    • Aside from the Nazis, the British Paratroopers also engage some of the Nazis' closest allies, namely the ascended members of Fascist Italy slash Italian Social Republic, specifically the RSI Paracadutisti, who are essentially their respective Evil Counterpart in the Italian Forces. Compared to the British Paratroopers, though, the Italians are far fewer in number, not as well equipped, and are mostly treated as glorified bodyguards for their superiors, the Four Libertines. That said, these Italian paratroopers prove to be tough Elite Mooks themselves when encountered, with their tenacity and resourcefulness gaining the respect of the British.
    • In addition to infantry, the 1st Airborne Division's paratroopers are also capable of dealing with tanks, armored cars and armored half-tracks, and light vehicles such as supply and transport trucks, thanks to having PIAT Anti-Vehicle launchers in their inventory. The German 100th Panzer Battalion, equipped with Sturmgeschutz Assault Guns, Panzer IV Medium tanks, and even a handful of Tigers and King Tigers, learned this the hard way, when a 1st Airborne anti-tank unit managed to destroy, damage, or disable a number of their tanks during a skirmish around Hell's Highway.
  • While accustomed to fighting German infantry and tanks, even well-armed Elite Mooks like the Schutzvollstrecker, HYDRA soldiers, and Valkyrie Jager, the British paratroopers were caught completely off guard by the existence of deities like Sophie, who essentially wiped the floor clean with an entire platoon of Paras like they were nothing. Only the timely arrival of their ally Izetta saves them from suffering heavy casualties and being wiped out. They soon learn that there are, in fact, other superpowered beings present in the Pantheon, including those on both sides of the conflict they're currently fighting. Of particular note for them are Johann Schmidt, head of HYDRA-Abteilung, and essentially serving as the Nazis' head honcho in absence of the Fuhrer, and the aforementioned Sophie, on the Axis side. On the Allied side, they find out about the existence of Captain Steve Rogers, Sgt. James Buchanan Barnes, and the aforementioned Izetta, whom they immediately gain respect for for saving their lives.
  • Not unlike their fellow American troops before them, the British Paratroopers have repeatedly mistaken a number of deities from the Girls und Panzer universe to be actual Allied and German tankers, and have fired live rounds into the tanks of the Anglerfish Team's Panzer IV and Maho Nishizumi's tanks during a few encounters with both parties, both times with the British mistakenly assuming their tanks to be those used by the 100th Panzer Battalion. Fortunately, none of the girls were killed or wounded in the process. Despite this less than ideal first impression, the Paras manage to get along well with their associate Darjeeling, who instead commands and crews British tanks, not unlike the ones that British troops like them are accustomed to seeing and supporting.

The Necronomicon* (Book of the Dead, Al-Azif, Kitab Al-Azif)

Needing an image

  • Appearance: A seemingly extremely old book, of the Doorstopper variety
  • Class: 5 in itself, but can cause events up to class 1-worthy depending on how it's used.
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: The Tome of Eldritch Lore, Things Man Was Not Meant to Know, Makes People Go Mad from the Revelation, Contain Tutorials to Dangerous Ritual Magic and Awful Truths, Nothing Is Scarier
  • Domains: Knowledge, Eldritch Abominations, Black Magic
  • Interests: Ash Williams, Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange, Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom, Hermaeus Mora, Tzeentch, Randall Flagg
  • The Necronomicon is a book originally written in the the early 700s by Abdul Alhazred under the name of Al Azif, and known for containing a lot of informations about the Great Old Ones, the outer realms and everything else. While the original version was written in Arabic, numerous translations were made over time, and its current name given, each translation withholding a few less occult knowledge than the former. (It really feels like there are things to rework and/or add here, could someone help?)
  • As for how it ended up in the Great Treasurery, this isn't that complicated: one day, one of the Elder Gods heard about a book where knowledge about them was compiled, so it gathered more informations, which ultimately leaded to the Necronomicon, and then to an older edition of it, and then to an even older... until one of the last remaining copy of the original was found. Then, it got back to the Pantheon and showed it to the other Great Old Ones and Outer Gods who, after checking it, decided to rectify mistakes the author made, as well as adding quite a few notes in itnote . Then, since they didn't have any other idea of what to do with it, they decided to give it to the Library, where it is currently still stocked.
  • Many deities owning either a library full of other occult and dangerous books or an alternate version of the Necronomicon are extremely interested by the existence of the original edition of the most famous Tome of Eldritch Lore edited by none other than the subjects of the book. Among those deities are Doctor Strange, Doctor Doom, Hermaeus Mora, Tzeentch and Randall Flagg.
  • Having dealt with numerous alternate versions of a variant of the Necronomicon across his multiverse note , Ash Williams naturally is extremely wary of this one, and tried to destroy it in a few occasions. So far, every attempt he made has been stopped by one of the keeper of the Treasurery or the deities of the Cthulhu Mythos.
  • Wanda Maximoff immediatly tried to have a look at the book when she learned of it, her first experience of such a book having resulted in a Demonic Possession from an Elder God and later fusing with a more powerful version of the book that caused her possession to absorb the Elder God that possessed her. Upon checking it, she was puzzled by the annotations in various Starfish Languages here and there, all the more because some of them were also present in the book she had fused with, and finally concluded that, much like the True Darkhold, this one was too dangerous for weak minds to read and decided to cast some sealing spells on it to make sure nobody gets corrupted by it.

  • Allies: Ghostbusters, Luigi, Oscar Zahn.
  • Oppose: Tenebrae, Ra's al Ghul, Nagash the Undying, Death.
  • Enemies: King Boo, Voldermort.
  • Pities: Dr. Henry Morgan
  • Conflicted Opinion on: The Wolf
  • Hailing from Liyue Harbour of Tevyat, Hu Tao is the seventy-seventh director of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Asides from usual funeral service Hu Tao sometimes also helps guiding lose spirits to the afterlife. The duty of being the funeral parlor falls on her shoulders in her teenage years, while she enjoys pranking people around, she takes her job seriously and make sure that she would met her clients’ requirements.
  • One day, at the Pantheon a bunch of souls of the deceased broke out, Hu Tao was enlisted to help, and while being efficient, she also greatly respect the lost souls, taking her time understanding their wishes and helping them at leaving no regrets. Seeing her utmost respect towards the dead, the deities granted her the title of Due to the Dead. With her sometimes showing up in the Pantheon, sometimes promoting her funeral parlor’s service, helping at maintaining the boundaries between life and death, and more frequently, playing pranks.
  • Believing that death is a natural cycle of life, Hu Tao dislike those who seek immortality, therefore, she is absolutely disgusted to learn that Tenebrae has sacrificed his entire planet in exchange for eternal life, as such action would have greatly upset the balance between life and death. Similarly, she considers Ra's al Ghul a coward for seeking immortality to cheat death.
  • She is quick to form a friendship with Megumin, possibly because their voices are similar. They occasionally hang out together, Hu Tao is especially impressed by Megumin’s signature explosion spell, even having a poetry inspired by the little mage spell. However, sometimes Megumin wish that Hu Tao can stop promoting her funeral service to her, to which Hu Tao playfully replied that since her only attack leaves her vulnerable, it is better to get ready should things go south.
  • Hu Tao greatly respect the Ghostbusters, since they regularly catches and duels with supernatural incidents. She is impressed by all their technology and admires how committed they are to their job, it is not uncommon to see her sometimes tagging along with them whenever there is paranormal activity, since her fighting skills help a lot at weakening paranormal monsters to make them easier to be caught.
  • When Hu Tao learnt that Luigi is also a ghost catcher who at the same time is willing to befriend friendly ghosts, they both become quick friends with Hu Tao sometime helping Luigi in any haunted mansions While sometimes she would spook Luigi for a quick laugh, they both consider each other as ally. Naturally, this earned the ire of King Boo, who swears to turn the funeral director into a painting as well. Hu Tao herself despise King Boo for tearing opening a portal the the ghost world purely out of spite too. Sometimes, Luigi even let her to pet the Polterpup.
  • Upon learning that Voldermort cheats death with the Horcruxes, along with all of his vile actions, Hu Tao is disgusted that Voldermort would be willing to damage his very soul just to become immortal. She even once purposely calls him his embarrassing name, Tom. Naturally Voldermort didn’t take kindly to it and instantly tried to blast her with Avada Kedavra, which she barely dodged with her elemental skill. After that encounter, Hu Tao formed an alliance with the good aligned Harry Potter deities, offering help to look for the Horcruxes if they wanted to.
  • While she believes death to be a necessary cycle of life, Hu Tao thinks that The Wolf’s action is too extreme, thinking that his action of personally trying to hunt down Puss in Boots just because the latter said he laughs in the face of death is too petty. Similarly she is horrified of the brutality of Death, considering them to be way too cruel towards people that escaped death. Thus she can’t help but pity Alex Browning, Kimberly Corman, Wendy Christensen, Nick O'Bannon and Sam Lawton, however she would still playfully and joking sells them funeral tickets, offering them the services of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor should they require it.
    • Hu Tao: Ayayaya~ since you are constantly being hunted by Death itself, considering buying some of our funeral tickets? We offer discounts!
  • When she experienced her first birthday on Pantheon, she is excited to learn that Kirima Sharo shares the same birthday with her. Hu Tao would occasionally visit the Rabbit House to chat with Kirima. When not playing pranks, sometimes she would brought ingredients from Tevyat to the cafe. Recently she is suggesting them to include steamed fish with shrimp dumplings to their menu.
  • Necromancers piss Hu Tao off even more than immortal seeker, afterall they are disrupting the dead for their own benefit. Therefore, Nagash the Undying who is a notorious necromancer that plans to turn all beings as his slaves greatly irritated her. However, she is aware that Nagash is wag above her league, currently she is seeking to ally with the good aligned Warhammer deities.
  • Hu Tao quickly grows an interest to The Bard, asides from being glad to meet someone with similar hobby, she finds them reminds her of her friend Venti. After learning about how the Bard goes out of their way to avoid harming lives and using non violence to save the world, Hu Tao has nothing but admiration towards them. Sometimes, they would hang out together and exchange poetry and songs.
  • Hu Tao sometimes like Franchouchou, as they remind her of Qiqi, a fellow friendly zombie from her world, and Xinyan, a rapper from her world too. Respecting their desire of their music career and to stay in the living realm, sometimes Hu Tao would even rap with them. Initially, the zombie idols don’t trust Hu Tao much, given her history of trying to bury Qiqi. However, upon learning that the funeral palor is willing to respect their decision to stay in the living realm, and apparently has a talent of rapping, they are more willing to be open to Hu Tao. Sometimes, Hu Tao is even invited as a guest to rap together. Similarly she also gets along with the fellow Jiangshi Hsien-Ko, admiring her combat skills and respects her desire to save her mother’s soul, offering help should Hisen-Ko ever asked.
  • Death of Endless agrees with Hu Tao that death is not horrifying, with both of them agreeing that death is just a natural cycle of life. She also respects Hu Tao for getting ready to sacrifice herself during a ritual to protect the nation of Liyue, and find her action of frequently offering other people with coffin discount to be Actually Pretty Funny.
  • Upon learning on Dr. Henry Morgan’s fate, Hu Tao can’t help but pity him, after all he was blessed with an unwanted immortality. Considering Hu Tao believes that boredom is Fate Worse than Death, she offers to help him to find a way to end his immortality, meanwhile encouraging him to live his life to the fullest, and offering a 70% off of her funeral service to Henry Morgan too.
  • Hu Tao quickly becomes ally with Oscar Zahn, with her not being afraid of Oscar’s appearance at all. Since both of them are shown to respect the dead and prefer to solves paranormal issues with more peaceful methods, it is not uncommon to see both of them working together whenever there are paranormal cases at the Pantheon.

Also, decided to start to work on Zoma, so far still working on progress

  • It was a peaceful day on the Pantheon, suddenly, the sky darken and monsters started to pour out from every corner. They were lead by none other than the Archfiend Zoma, who had learnt the existence of the Pantheon and desires to engulf its inhabitants darkness. Arusu, learning of his archnemsis arrival on the Pantheon, quickly fights back and defeated most of Zoma’s army. However, by then the damage has already be done, as Zoma has taken the House of Status-Buff Dispel for himself, due to his preference in using the infamous Disruptive Wave skill.
  • Having heard another Dark Lord from his world has ascended, The Dragonlord quickly offers an alliance with Zoma, since he is very interested in learning the skill of Disruptive Wave. However, being aware of Dragonlord’s traitorous nature, Zoma refused his alliance, but seeing usefulness in Dragonlord in his quest to engulf Pantheon in darkness, he did taught him some basic skills of unleashing Disruptive Wave.
  • To the surprise of no one, Zoma quickly became an ally of Sauron, with both of the Dark Lords frequently exchanging their minions. Zoma enjoys having Uruk-Hais among his armies, as their terrifying brute strength comes in handy at repelling any heroes wannabes and his countless conquest. Meanwhile Sauron finds usefulness in Zoma’s Hydras, using the five headed dragons to guard various important strongholds. Such alliances alarmed Gandalf, and quickly declares Zoma as a threat to Middle Earth as well along with many good aligned Middle-Earth deities.

Mind if I make a brief comment? I've noticed that the Mayor of Townsville is currently representing the Mayor Pain trope. I can understand why someone placed him under that trope, but I don't think he's the best representation for it. He's an incompetent mayor, but he has a heart of gold and genuinely cares for the people of Townsville, and he's presented by the narrative as the clear-cut hero. I feel like there are numerous other mayors in fiction who don't give a damn about their town and represent the trope better.

I propose we have either an evil mayor for the trope, or an incompetent mayor who's a jerk without the heart of gold. Furthermore, perhaps the Townsville Mayor can represent the Impossible Pickle Jar trope instead, since it's one of his most noteworthy Running Gags and he's famous for this bit.

yeah i'm fine with the mayor keeping his trope.

@Tadi: [tup] for the first one. as for Zoma, a couple of villains who want to emerge the world in darkness include Chernabog, Nightmare Moon, The Grand Duke Of Owls, and Zs'Skayr. i imagine he'd try and include some of the Scourge into his army, especially considering the ice stuff, but would need to try and get a partnership with Arthas The Lich King, their master. i imagine an emotion eater (of negatuve emotions), he'd also be interested in The Heartless, beings born out of the darkness of peoples hearts.

  • The navigator of the Straw Hats, Nami, is the third person to have joined up with Luffy, but in a sense, was the fifth person to truly become a Straw Hat Pirate. Once her pirate friends freed her and her town from the Arlong Pirates, Nami has been essential in their survival across the treacherous Grand Line, where a watery grave is a few meters in the wrong direction. While her captain and other crewmates could give her a migraine, she does not regret being part of the crew, even with her overly eager captain. Since they are taking on pirates and governments that are leagues beyond the East Blue, she needed to learn to defend herself. Without Haki or a Devil Fruit, she had to use a specific weapon tailored for her. Well, not really a weapon at the start, but a gag gift that somehow worked too well. Clima-Tact is able to control and conjure weather phenomena, with better mastery with every new iteration. She even has a talking cloud living in her Clima-Tact now, mainly because that cloud fears her.
Nami: Don't underestimate the "climate science" of Weatheria!!
  • While she may not be the strongest person even in her home sea, she's one of the more intelligent members of her crew, at least when it comes to strategy. However, she happens to be one of the scariest, which is only known to people who are allies of the Straw Hats. She does not need something with the weather to beat up Luffy for getting the crew into trouble. Her rage is so terrifying that Jinbei almost thought that Conqueror's Haki was ripping out of Nami. She uses this fear to keep Zeus around her Clima-Tact, knowing that Nami would whop him as hard as Big Mom if he tried to run away again. Apparently, Zeus from Olympus was unnerved at Monkey D. Luffy reminding him of a certain joyful person he was friends with, so he threw a bolt of lightning at the ship. But Nami's Zeus managed to eat the lightning bolt, with Nami glaring at wherever the lightning came from. As a powerful god, he should not be spooked, but Zeus felt like a woman would beat him silly for going down there.
  • Nami has met the Z Fighters on multiple occasions with the rest of the Straw Hats, but she has a special connection to Bulma, who would also stick beside Nami. It helps for the longest time, they were the unpowered women who kept the most brain cells of their respective. However, it stands to question why Nami never asked anything from Capsule Corp from Bulma, who could easily supply her technology that would greatly expand what not just Nami, but the rest of the crew could do. This actually came from consideration from Nami herself, as she did not want to have the World Government hawking down on a well-known figure if they suspected they were an ally of the Straw Hats. Bulma did say she had a solution to not be liable. She says Nami should steal a suspiciously large crate from Roshi, but that would require Nami to deal with the pervert.
  • Her epithet of Cat Burglar, she got along with Anne Takamaki and Selina Kyle for being a strong woman who takes what she gets. However, they both noticed that Nami stood out of place without a specific outfit that indicated her pirate title, so they went ahead to make Nami try out their outfits. The results made both ladies wonder how the hell Nami could fit into their outfits. Also, they were completely enamoured with how Nami looked in both of them, with both agreeing that Nami is one of the few people who look good in every outfit.
Sanji: Oh my orange light at the end of the tunnel~, I made some- 'HOLY OREGANO!
  • Orihime Inoue and Nami are viewed as sisters even though they are not related at all. It is usually due to the orange hair, but they are so polar opposites in personality. Both are kind in personality, but Orihime keeps that friendliness up to even her supposed enemies. However, Nami will knock the heads of her crewmates, so the quality of mercy on her is on the opposite spectrum. Orihime has more supernatural potential than Nami, but Nami clearly has the willingness and equipment to do more with her arsenal. Still, the two do act like sisters to each other, with Luffy almost kidnapping Orihime to join their crew if Nami considers her like family. He got a few pounds to the head for it.
Sanji: Alas, we lost a great addition to our crew! I'll cry every single night because of this.
Brook: And I lost another pair of panties to ask for, but don't tell Nami I said that...
  • Lucy Heartfilia has been a good friend to Nami for being similarly a cool head amongst zany characters. However, she does note that there is great magical potential in Nami. She had to go ask the rest of the Celestial Spirits if Nami is capable of forming a contract with them, but they implored Lucy not to go ask Nami for that. They could only ambigiously say there is a "summoner" who works around the Blue Seas and Grand Line who not even their Spirit King wants to confront, so she should drop the subject. Lucy was a bit disturbed by their panic, but heeded regardless, even though she tried nudging Nami to go beyond the weather tools because using magic can substantially increase her chances on the Grand Line.
  • Nami did not know how a certain annoying orange ended up on the ship. At first, she thought a weird-looking Devil Fruit had ended up growing on the ship's tangerine tree. Then it started talking and making horrible jokes. Nami spanked Orange in the head for every time he spoke, which became tiresome when Orange was covered in lumps already. She was not heartless enough to throw a living... creature off their ship, but Zoro was threatening to cut the thing up if they did not do something about it. Luffy, Chopper, and Brook were having fun with it, though. Nami devised a solution to get rid of the Annoying Orange by having Franky build a miniature boat, pointing it in the safest direction on the Grand Line. Then they say a bird picked Orange off his ship, but Nami was pretty sure the fellow was hanging off the beak. Screaming. As long as he isn't a problem for them anymore, she could sleep soundly.
  • Emma Frost was almost pocketed by Nami for "giving a rather condescending look" at her way of dress, but was caught since she was messing with a mutant psychic. However, absorbing Nami's backstory and her life on the crew made Emma Frost sympathetic. Instead, she took Nami out and bought clothes for her to upgrade her "fashion sense," even though the White Queen would secretly admit Nami looks dazzling in borderline anything. Since then, whenever they bump into each other, Nami says that her new "big sister" is taking her out shopping. The rest of the Straw Hats know she's full of bullshit, but Nami would probably mooch off them if she loses her opportunity to mooch off somebody else.
  • Initially, the Sorbet Shark Cookie put her off. While fishmen are obviously not a trigger for Nami, there was something discomforting to see a shark pirate who was not Jinbei. However, the two struck a friendship when it was made clear that Sorbet Shark Cookie was nothing like Arlong. If anything, Sorbet Shark is more like Luffy than anybody else she knows. Except somehow more addicted to swabbing than eating. In fact, Nami wonders who cleans their ship regularly.
    Usopp: Oh, finally! Somebody noticed!
  • Anise Tatlin looks up to Nami as a "premier seducer," so to speak. While Nami certainly hasn't slept around for money, she really does use her looks to wring cash out of men. While Nami would give advice on how she flirts with most people, taking some pride if they adopt her methodology, she has to point out that Anise is VERY young to try to pull anything similar to what she does in both dress and actions. She had to come up with something since Anise might look for even worse advice from others on how to seduce men.
  • Anna has passed by the Straw Hats and sold them stuff with some pretty good deals, all thanks to Nami. Since she knows about business perhaps the most out of all the Straw Hats, she gets into bargaining matches with Anna. They do not hate each other, but regard themselves as partners who need to make the most out of their situation. That includes needing to swindle each other to avoid losing as much money as they could. Sometimes their "negotiations" go on for an hour, only for them to huff in agreement. Nobody in the crew knows why Nami is so adamant about getting Master Seals, shiny weapons, or fancy books. They could understand the elixirs, but none of those things they needed. Much like how she deals with Anna, Nami is attuned to business. A rule of thumb is that if you get a good deal on something, selling it to somebody else makes a profit.
  • When the Gokaigers tried to go into the Grand Line, their ship, despite its durability, almost sank into the ocean. Fortunately, their friendship with the Straw Hats led the team to come across each other at that moment, with Nami being able to navigate both ships out of their tight spot. The Sentai team was forever grateful to Nami for their rescue, although it got a bit tense when Nami asked for some payment. Luka Milfy, aka Gokai Yellow, knew that Nami was going to charge them extraordinary amounts of their treasure, so she had to go block her off from nabbing one coin. The Straw Hats and the rest of the Gokaigers were just eating together as they watched the women duke it out.
  • When the Straw Hats were on death's door in terms of food supply because of Luffy's eating in his sleep, Recette Lemongrass managed to make a deal with Nami to get them all back to the shop. This was before almost half the crew were starving on their way to Whole Cake Island, so this incident would be a bit of a premonition. Nami did not even have the strength to bargain, even though she said she was going to be the one to do so. She still gave them a discount out of feeling bad. Since then, Nami makes an exception to her haggling with Recette out of gratefulness for her, essentially buying what she has at full price. If the rest of the crew asks why they do not have the same niceness extended to them, Nami says she is nice. That was more of a threat if anything.
  • Robin Hood and Nami have a deep respect for each other, as Robin Hood knows from the Cat Burglar's eyes that her rogue nature carries a certain sense of honor. If she were a true thief, she would be swindling everybody she comes across, which she doesn't. He is correct on that part, considering she joined up with Arlong to buy back her village (but she playfully robbed them before she left). However, she tends to avoid higher powers than directly provoking them, so she has to decline Robin Hood's calls for her to help rob the poor. She might not be a fan of them, but bullets flying around her are the last thing she wants to deal with.
  • Bowser accidentally kidnapped Nami. He was aiming for Peach, but there was something that compelled him to take her hostage. Nami is surprisingly snatched more than a few times to be Arlong's navigator, Shiki's navigator, Absalom's bride, Mad Treasure's prisoner, or in Charlotte Smoothie's hand. Being an expert at kidnapping, Bowser probably was able to sniff that one out, hoping for something to happen. Unfortunately for him, Nami was not having any of that and started raving at Bowser from her cage, not wanting to wait for a dramatic climax for her rescue. The King Koopa started getting sick of it, so when the Straw Hats came into his house with bazookas, he just opened the cage and had them leave. There was little gold or any special weapon for Bowser that could justify his home being torn down. But Nami took one of those bazookas and made a big hole regardless.
  • Spectral Familiars are attracted to Nami. Not in a perverted sense, as it (for Nami) usually seems, but being elemental creatures, they could dwell inside Nami's Clima-Tact if they wanted to. The most useful Spectral Familiar is Spectral Eagle, which could manipulate the weather. Sometimes the Spectral Familiar comes across the Straw Hats on different occasions, giving out a helping hand through Nami. Why Nami specifically is, because they find the Clima-Tact a rather nice place to be within, even for a little bit. They do not know what Weatheria wizardry made sure it was the most comfortable home to live in next to a sanctuary, but they like it. However, sharing a space with a certain cloud that is inside makes them want to leave.
Zeus: Help! S-some weird animals broke into my home!
  • Quark and Nami do hold each other highly, with Quark favorably comparing Nami to a Ferengi because of how greedy her attitude is. They do business with each other, with Quark asking Nami to sniff certain... things for some unpopular people. It is not full-blown possession theft, but things like manifestos or cargo locations give Quark a little bit of an edge for his bar. In turn, he pays Nami, although he does squabble with the payment as a good Ferengi should. What would be a pleasurable rub to ear turned to a painful pull, an instant way for Nami to get her fair share of profits. Still, Quark will always be befuddled by Nami being fond of root beer, thinking she is not the type to enjoy something so bubbly.
  • Rainbow Dash saw Nami navigate a ship through one of the worst storms she had ever seen, with Rainbow Dash wanting to see how skilled this navigator was. For a few days, Rainbow Dash tailed the Straw Hats and learned a lot about their maneuvers from a safe distance. She only got caught when she got indigestion; the only place to eat from was the Straw Hats' ship. Of course, Nami had to rip the pegasus a new one for doing something so dangerous, but she was flustered for being complimented at the same time.
  • Sea King wanting supremacy for underwater dwellers would bring bad memories of Nami, for clearly obvious reasons. What set Nami off was Sea King approaching Nami with the hopes that she could navigate his army to strategic areas to deploy his minions to attack. She said yes, and while Sea King was in the water, she summoned Zeus to send a lightning bolt into the water. She got a bit of a seafood craving afterward. Sea King was surprised because he thought he had presented a compelling case to kill all the humans.
  • Chaac has been a thorn in Nami's side for too long. He just summons some rain, and in the end, Nami has to deal with the consequences of it. It is not as if he specifically is out to get her, as being a rain god is his duty. However, he is a bit unsettled to feel a rage brewing from a direction, unsure of what exactly it is. While storms do not bother him, he wonders if this dread he holds is the equivalent of that fear.
  • Eugene Krabs and Nami have a bit of a hate for each other. One would think they would get along because of their similar greed, and also, Nami got rid of any hangups about fishmen, but it turned out those were unrelated. The real reason she did not like it was that he took her hairbrush, never giving it back. Being a bit of a kleptomaniac, Krabs defended himself by saying he was just borrowing it. That was months ago. She may have brought a new hairbrush, but the fact that she needed to means Nami needs to make Krabs into a Krabby Patty herself.

The battle is over! All that's left now is... treasure!

Also agreeing that the Mayor of Townsville still fits the Incompetent variant of the trope (the Evil variant is unoccupied afaik)

[tup] for Hu Tao.

For Zoma, you should change "Followers" to "Underlings", so it doesn't get mistaken with the common usage of "Followers", which is to list other characters from different series or franchises that strongly fit the trope. (High Priest is considered the one that fits the most behind the deity themselves)

He would be naturally aligned with evil representations of darkness like Chernabog or Queen Umbra, and enemies with more benevolent representations of darkness like The Dark. The Keeper is a sentient and intelligent dungeon that seeks to overwhelm the realms of Good with evil monsters.

[up][up] [tup] for Nami.
