Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Besides toons, what other things would the Dip be a useful weapon against? Who was revealed as non-human and this gave a different context for their actions?

Judge Doom, God of Non-Human Reveals (Baron Von Rotten, The Toon of a Thousand Faces)

  • Respects: Zamasu, SKYNET (one-sided on the judge's part), The Dark Judges (mutual with Judge Death)
  • Not so different from: Claude Frollo, Philip Wittebane/Emperor Belos
  • The apparently humorless Hanging Judge of Toontown, Judge Doom spearheads the manhunt for Roger, having made it his mission to make Toons respect the law. Doom is also the silent partner of Cloverleaf Industries, the construction company which dismantled public transit in Los Angeles, and is preparing to demolish Toontown to make way for a state-of-art freeway. He has developed the Dip, a substance capable of doing the seemingly impossible and kill a Toon stone-cold dead, akin to an acid. While he had the Toon Patrol, he seemed to be simply a bigoted human, however his plan is horrible; paving away Toontown and destroying its Toon residents as an act of genocide. But after being run over by a bulldozer and surviving, the truth is revealed when the gloves come off as do the fake eyes; he's a toon as well, and in fact the same toon who killed Eddie's brother and caused his own prejudice towards them. He was pursuing a murderous vendetta against his own kind, but with that, also came a way of defeating him; his own Dip was used on him, dissolving him until all that was left was the human disguise and a melted mess.
  • When someone is called inhuman, it's usually meant to call them a horrible person. With Judge Doom, it's also literal. Initially he was given You Are What You Hate, as a Toon who despises his fellow Toons on a genocidal level, though a large part of his motive is "because he finds it fun". Over time, though, he shifted to Not Even Human. Judge Doom is a notable case of Not Even Human in that rather than somehow rationalizing his evil, the reveal he's not human makes his actions worse as a traitor to his kind and one of the few actually villainous toons. His ascension has put many a toon deity on edge, given that he is responsible for the creation of The Dip, which can kill a toon on contact. More than anyone, he wants to eliminate the Rabbits and Eddie, for old times sake and for defeating him. And if the pantheon was able to revive him from the supposed final end of death by the Dip, he'll have to find a way around it. To overcome the Death Is Cheap status of the Trope Pantheon is his greatest challenge and greatest barrier against his continued goal; the extermination of all toons!
  • What makes Judge Doom so dangerous as a Toon isn't just his ability to make a proverbial kryptonite for his kind. Toon Physics only work because it's funny. Doom found a loophole to harm and kill people with Toon Physics; HE finds it funny, and normal humans outside of Toon Town will be killed by their antics. Add the Dip, and you have one formiddable adversary. He has a clear understanding of the Hall of Comedy Genres, though unless the residents there are other toons he is merely annoyed by it. His pursuit of supposedly guilty cartoon characters would've already put him in hot water with the House of Theatre and Spectacle, but his attempted genocide of all toons has led to an outright ban of him visiting there.
  • His goal is the destruction of an entire form of art, something that the Nothing would applaud if it had comprehensible sensibilities. He admits he's both awed and fearful of the Eldritch Abomination and what it represents. Doom is also awed by the Nowhere King for the monster's ability to be immune to anything a Toon can do while still being susceptible to the Dip in case he can't control the beast...or has everything he can get from the Nowhere King. Though they have similar enemies the entity doesn't care for the judge and correctly assumes he also hopes to replace the Toon Patrol with his army of Minotaurs. "Judge Doom has nothing the Nowhere King desires," is what the spies say, but many fear what happens when the Judge succeeds in appealing to the Nowhere King. One of his motives for reaching out is to counteract the efforts Monkey D Luffy would put into foiling his villainy, due to his usage of Toon Physics. Learning of Gear 5 annoys and horrifies him.
  • Doom doesn't just seek to wipe out cartoons themselves, but also their creators. Uniquely, this makes him the only Disney villain that wants to kill Walt Disney himself. This is both out of bigotry to his own kind, and as part of a scheme of a hostile takeover of the Disney corporation so he may liquidate its assets to enrich himself...yeah, guy's got some screws loose, despite hating toons for supposedly being crazy. He has the distinct dishonor along with his partners in crime of being permanently blacklisted by ACME, and for very personal reasons; he killed their CEO and founder Marvin Acme as part of a hostile take-over, and he had attempted the genocide of their clients. Judge Doom still desires to take control of their assets, and he's trying to sabotage their financial endeavors in the House of Commerce. He plans to make the pantheon's greatest freeway in place of where their main company used to be, mainly out of pride and spite.
  • Many of his exaggerated traits such a bombasity filtered through a stoic facade, clearly being evil, and Bond Villain Stupidity are tied to his nature as a toon. While the cat's out of the bag, he still wears the rubber costume that makes him look human. He still falls into the Uncanny Valley, though, akin to the old T-600 models SKYNET employed. If the "Baron Von Rotten" backstory is any indication, he at least originally looked like a cartoony version of his disguise. Judge Doom is interested in the original T-800, a machine disguised in living human tissue. He also seems to admire the genocidal SKYNET, which many see as an acknowledgement SKYNET's own behavior takes after some of the worst of its creators' species. At times he has been purported masquerading as some innocous mortal via an alternate disguise, in order to get the heat of himself.
  • One of the only exceptions to his bigotry, besides himself, are the Toon Patrol, who serve as his henchmen. Judge Doom's desire to destroy all toons, especially the ones from both Disney and Warner Bros., makes him a pariah across deities of both companies, regardless of their alignment. Even the classic Disney villains, unless specifically noted under a Bigotry Exception, are not spared his sadism and wrath. Among his fellow Disney villains, he is usually compared to Judge Claude Frollo, since they're corrupt judges with a morbid yet understated sense of humor, and who are determined to erase an entire group from existence (toons for Doom, gypises for Follo). Doom didn't care much about the comparisons, but Frollo was actually disturbed when it was brought up. He may lack the sincere self-righteousness of Philip Wittebane, but he is no less of a genocidal monster, albeit more akin to a 20th century group than a 17th. Though he recognizes his similarities to Belos, as do Luz and Amity, Belos refuses to have someone like Doom be compared to him.
  • There were rumors he killed Bambi's mom, though this appears to have been a scrapped plot than anything that materialized. Judge Doom himself has spread rumors that the Cogs were inspired by him, though the Cogs truly possess No Sense of Humor. Doom has humor underneath his Mask of Sanity, it's just as black as pitch. Still, they are a group that hate toons as much as he does, which makes them a perfect ally. As a Hanging Judge and a bunch of businessmen, it allows him to further play up his facade of being a lawman. Some Disney deities are aware of his own backstory as Baron Von Rotten, and two of them who take notice of it are Ralph and Balto. Balto was lost in his own role, while Ralph plays a villain in the video game he's in but is actually a relatively nice guy. Learning how this monster was originally an amiable actor who got Lost in Character was chilling. To this, the corrupted judge said "Baron Von Rotten died long ago!"
  • He hates toons, but his relationship with Lord Farquaad and Jack Horner is a bit more complicated. See, he acknowledges that they're not so different, as they hold contempt to a more fantastical group, and with the former there is a degree of irony in their bigotries. However, they are technically toons, at least by some estimation. He considers them "some of the good ones" and he's able to bond over shared prejudices, greed and a desire for wanting things to be a certain way. Judge Doom sees himself as as a visionary for his whole freeway, making a speech akin to Noah's "the future, Gitts" speech. He's not as disgusting as Noah Crossnote  but he is a corrupt businessmen willing to cause mass death to enrich himself. With this in mind, they share a number of enemies who can't stand either, and notice the similarities.
  • At first glance Doom can be mistaken for a Lawful Evil character, however a lot of this is filtered through what looks like a bald, pale Doc Brown in ominous black clothing. A visual comparison the inventor is all too disturbed by, who aptly calls him and his crew "the Toon Gestapo" and Marty knows Doom would do unthinkable damage if he ever takes possession of the DeLorean time machine. In actuality, he's Chaotic Evil, with the underlying motive to his genocidal prejudice is the ability to kill toons in some halfway legal fashion. In other words, he's in it For the Evulz, which might be even worse. He still likes playing the judge role, pushing his weight around in the House of Law and Justice. He's a wanted man there, not that it stops him. Though not an Omnicidal Maniac, he holds a respect for the Dark Judges, which the equally (if not more) cruel Judge Death returns in favor. Judge Dredd plans to find a way to eliminate Doom permanently. Doom is despised by many honest figures of the law, rightly seeing him as a murderous maniac masquerading as a judge.
  • Though he is technically not a Nazi, being called the Toon Gestapo is apt not just because he is based off a Nazi judge but his goal is the extermination of a minority group and wanting to wipe out an area for something new; he even uses a chemical as his main means of doing so. As such, it has allowed him to get along with Nazis despite not sharing their precise ideology, such as the Red Skull. Though the Skull sees him as a wild cannon to some extent and not a believer, he is easily motivated to aid him in his own plans for domination and extermination. Johann Schmidt is not the only fascist friend of his, as Doom is also on good terms with Adenoid Hynkel. As the conqueror of Osterlich is effectively a live-action cartoon, this friendship has a degree of Irony. While more pragmatic fascists can find Millennium's overly zealous Blood Knight status troublesome at time (though more due to Pragmatic Villainy than anything), Judge Doom loves that about them as it ties to his inner lunacy.
  • Because his plan involves genocide, he is naturally loathed by any Genocide Survivor like Aang. There is a debate on whether being part of the group he wants to exterminate makes him worse than if he was human, but few survivors or people who fought the Nazis give a damn about the answer. Though he was killed in the mortal realm by his own weapon, it hasn't taught him anything. He's even had the mad idea of taking the Inklings and Octolings weaponry to spray Dip as a weapon, though he'll make sure to wear a Hazmat Suit. His team up with various Nazis has led him to butt heads with Captain America, obviously, but also Doctor Doom. Victor doesn't take kindly to his usage of Doom when it's on a psychopathic bigot that apes, and now works alongside Nazis, seeing as how Victor Von Doom is Romani. The mad toon muses that with his alliance to the Cogs, perhaps he should take a note out of his book and make robots to impersonate and fill into him so he can be more covert. Judge Doom seems to admire Frieza and Zamasu's own genocidal pursuits, and while the former does find him rather amusing the latter considers him just another evil mortal.
  • The irony with Zamasu's contempt of Judge Doom is that he is arguably a Boomerang Bigot in his own right, slaughtering the gods in Future Trunks' timeline because they'd never agree with his plan. By comparison, the toon in disguise knows he's a selfish bastard and is fine with it. He does like to bring out the comparisons, though more so with heroic deities as he thinks it's a more interesting way of getting under their skin and it lets him be more of a Jerkass. He believed Peacock was one of his own and managed to pour Dip on her, only to his shock discover she survived as she's actually a human modified to be more toon-like, something she has a real love of. Doom's response was a flustered "so this is what Eddie felt like!" Both aren't afraid to get violent, both have a gang of cronies, but Peacock is fundamentally a good person. Can't say that about the Hanging Judge, not at all.
  • Judge Doom is probably the biggest contender for the Boomerang Bigot trope behind Acnologia himself. Acnologia's hatred of dragons and humans burns greater than Doom's for toons, and he is certainly capable, however there is considerable more pathos behind his hatred...not that this justifies anything, it's just a lot less inexplicable than Doom's prejudice. Doom recognizes the similarities he shares with Voldemort, as ambitious figures who detest their origins, and Voldemort believes Doom could be a useful Hanging Judge in the regime he has planned. They don't share the same type of bigotries, but being similarly minded was how the Dark Lord and Red Skull came to like each other....just don't bring up his background if he can possibly hear it. Since he is a toon Doom might survive Avada Kedava, but he doesn't plan on testing that. One superhero he is seeking to destroy is the stretchy Plastic Man, due to his wacky personality and incredible plastic-like powers. Since he likes playing the Hanging Judge, he'd rather frame him for a crime first.
  • If he gets his way Toontown will be wiped out and replaced by a freeway with string of gas stations, inexpensive motels and restaurants, making him a rich man. And as mentioned with his business alliance with Noah Cross, he will do whatever it takes to get it. Along with his ties to Cloverleaf Industries, he has some ties to the Hall of Poison and Toxicity as factories there are where he produces his Dip. He also has been financing the production of various other chemicals, most for innocous industrial purposes but a good portion as chemical weapons. Though it's toons specifically he wants to get rid of, he has been investing in acids and posions that target other specific groups, selling them for chemical warfare. He is contemptuous to basically anyone around him, even Toon Patrol to an extent, so no skin off his back if it's used to kill any other group. Hexxus has taken a liking to him due to his plans to industrialize at the expense of the life around him, even if Judge Doom isn't strictly an Ecocidal Antagonist.

The Dip (Toon Acid, The Final Solution)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dip.webp
  • Note: Restoration
  • Hall: Biological Containment Facility (The Great Treasury)
  • Appearance: A green, acidic liquid
  • Class Level: 4
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Sickly Green Glow, The Dreaded, Corrosive Evil Poison, Immortal Breaker, Destroys Toons Body And Soul
  • Domains: Acid, Death, Fear, Genocide, Annihilation
  • Inventor: Judge Doom
  • Additional association with: The Toon Patrol
  • Unholy to: Roger Rabbit, Eddie Valiant and Jessica Rabbit, every single Toon (even Doom and the Toon Patrol to an extent), much of the House of Craft (particularly members the Hall of Crafting Materials like Adeleine, or Dorian Gray, Rudy Tabootie and Snape White), the Halls of Forms of Media, Media Presentation and Visual Styles, the House of Theatre and Spectacle
  • Source of interest: The Cogs, the Hall of Poison and Toxicity (mainly Hexxus)
  • Similar artifacts: Wildfire (in destructiveness), Nova 6 (in intent)
  • The Dip is Judge Doom's personal invention, a means of doing the seemingly impossible; killing a toon. Made out of turpentine, acetone and benzene (i.e. oil remover, paint thinner and film dissolver), it acts a a deadly acid to any toon. Judge Doom demonstrated it by dissolving an innocent CGI shoe, becoming nothing but a messy mix of red paint. The Dip's lethality overcomes the Toon Physics, and will obliterate its victims entirely. For example, when the Toon Patrol died of laughter their ghosts left their bodies. When Smart-Ass fell into the Dip, he didn't have a ghost. To be killed by the Dip is not just a permanent death, but a Cessation of Existence...no wonder the acid is a subject of dread. Judge Doom sought to use the Dip to destroy Toon Town, an act of genocide made all the worse that he himself was a toon in disguise. It's that fact, however, that allowed his own Dip to be turned on him and melt him to nothing like he was the Wicked Witch of the West.
  • Judge Doom's masterpiece, the Dip is a notorious chemical weapon, one that both Disney and Warner Bros agreed not to allow easy access. The chemical formula for creating it and the remaining barrels were locked up in the Great Treasury's Biological Containment Facility, in hopes of never being used again. Walt Disney himself had commissioned its sealing, stating that he intends to find some sort of counter to undo its destruction. Unfortunately when Doom himself clawed his way back to life, he would work to create more of the Dip. Raids on his factories to prevent furhter development of the substance are somewhat regular. However Doom's ambition is to further enhance the Dip to do what people have called impossible; overcome the Death Is Cheap nature of the acid. That way he can achieve his desire of rendering the pantheon's toons truly, irrevocably dead. Where it not for the Trope Pantheon, it would be a true Immortal Breaker for the otherwise immortal toons.
  • Before being moved to the facility by demand of the Walt Disney and Warner Bros company Dip was produced in the Hall of Poison and Toxicity. It is a time that Hexxus misses, as he really liked Doom's vision of a freeway despite the mass collateral it would cause. In fact, as the very incarnation of an Ecocidal Antagonist, he prefers it. The stuff is now considered illegal contraband, though the Cogs have managed to smuggle it. While in Maximum Security for its influence and existential threat to toons, the Cogs have used their best, worst lawyers to justify using it to the Court of Gods under some "self-defense" logic, as they are vulnerable to comedy. Some consider its status in Maximum Security more a symbolic gesture, seeing as how theoretically anyone could develop it as the chemicals that make it up aren't exactly hard to come by. However the right formula in combining them to be so deadly is, and that is what's truly being kept under lock and key.
  • The terror of all toons, Despite what others might believe, The Dip is very deadly towards Japanese Cartoons, aka anime. The reason is because the three chemicals that its made out of can dissolve paint and ink. With that in mind, it may also be able to kill characters from comic books and manga. Deities from the realm of video games and real media may not be safe either. That's because they may have an animated or hand drawn counterpart. Though, the reverse can be true if they have Real Life counterparts. In that case, they may be safe. Currently, The Judge is coming up with a new version of Dip called Dip II: Toxic Boogaloo. This new poison would be able to destroy cartoons created in the digital age, such as those rendered in CG. Shockingly, Mickey is capable of wielding a similar offensive chemical, known as Thinner. After all, Dip is itself a foul concotion involving paint thinner. Granted, the context is a lot different, but Doom can't help but chide him and play the "What the Hell, Hero?" card if only to rile the mouse up.
  • Its individual ingredients can be found in the House of Craft, seeing as how they are various oil and paint removal substances. The full Dip, however, is to be kept far away. Ignoring the lethality of it, by its nature Dip is quite destructive towards a number of artistic materials and particularly antithetical to any crafting material. It has a destructive effect on the creations drawn to life by Adeleine, and even supernatural art is not safe. Of course toons in themselves could be considered supernatural by some definition, however it be an easy way to destroy Dorian Gray, via using it on his portrait of his true self. It wouldn't have as deadly an effect on chalk, mind you, though Snap White certainly doesn't want to compare and contrast. Various halls have made strict penalties for anyone who smuggles Dip there because of how relevant beings of animation are and how the substance is an anathema for their very being. The House of Theatre and Spectacle banned it outright as Dip and what Doom invisioned it for is pretty much antithetical to the very idea of artistic expression.
  • It is also capable of killing humans, though only through ingestion and otherwise it is externally harmless to humans. An alternative name for the Dip, aptily enough, is Toon Acid. The Inklings and Octolings are very worried about the The Dip and that their own ink base weapons would be ineffective. Not only that, they are afraid the weapons themselves would be used in combination with the Dip. A ink machine gun firing dissolving chemicals? No thanks. That said it is still only really acidic for animated beings...still not something you want to use in a machine gun. Judge Doom does, and he is pushing for the House of Firearms to manufacture Dip guns for himself and the cogs. Despite wielding acid as an attack Syzoth isn't a fan of the stuff. Obviously not averse to brutal killing, but it's more what it's utilized he seems distasteful.
  • Originally the name that was supposed to be given to the Dip was the Final Solution. It is quite apt, and it speaks to how shockingly dark of a villain Judge Doom is in that he's his setting's equivalent of a Nazi (despite being part of the same group he plans to exterminate). The Red Skull is well aware comparisons between Dip and chemicals his government used during WW2 are justified, which just adds to the Dip's dreaded reputation. With how most wartime cartoons were American and thus anti-Axis Powers, the Skull admits he would take a delight in using it against toons, even if they are not groups he seeks to destroy. That being said, these comparisons are more in mind when Judge Doom is involved; plenty of villainous deities seek its usage for general offense and not with the mindset of Judge Doom.
  • Has been compared by some to Nova 6, an incredibly Deadly Gas made by the Nazis as a weapon against civilian populations of both the Western Allies and the Soviets, the latter of which would take for themselves after the war. The lethality of the nerve agent is greater to humans than those to toons, though out of a sense of pride for his creation's killing ability Judge Doom points out that toons are usually a lot harder to get rid of. Tellingly, he doesn't mind the whole "being compared to a literal Nazi chemical weapon". The Dip is also compared to Wildfire, albeit not as much. They are are both destructive green substances, though wildfire is flammablenote  while Dip is chemical. That said, Dip isn't nearly as volatile, and though via caution and the right gloves Doom was able to "safely" kill a toon shoe with the stuff.
  • Currently it is only in a liquid form, and is primarily the intellectual property of Judge Doom. Most toons, including villains like Marvin the Martian, refuse to use it for ethical reasons. After seeing the lethality of Nova 6, Caesar Clown has been commissioned to develop a gaseous form of the Dip, which he refers to as "The Spray", and by understanding its chemical compounds he is able to embody a gaseous form as an offensive/defense manuver against toons. That being said, while Monkey D Luffy has Toon Physics, he is technically speaking not a toon in the way it would mortally wound him, even if it is particularly dangerous. Cloverfield Industries has been secretly trying to make deals with Umbrella so as to incorporate the effects of the Dip into their monstrosities, as a form of countering the Wild Card that is toons.
  • Intended for a wholly evil purpose, it is perhaps unsurprising that the GOI known as the Factory has been purchasing some of the Dip. The result are "anti-paint guns" and bombs with such potency that it could mortally wound the Mask. Unfortunately for Doom, the price for gaining this advanced method of toon-killing is exorbiant and he has failed to find a good lawyer that is a) willing to go up against something as horrible as the Factor and b) willing to work for someone as horrible as him. Some of this ended up in the possession of the SCP Foundation, and well you can guess who they want to use it on. Of course, it would require them to find some way of making the damn lizard a toon in the first place.

I know it seems unusual for me to have come back after years of pretty much being nothing but a distant memory, but I hope to suggest a rework for Shield Knight, more specifically putting more of the Enchantress into her profile. My reasoning is that for most of the mainline Shovel Knight game and its campaigns, Shield Knight was, at best, playing the role of The Lost Lenore for Shovel Knight up until her freedom, and at worst, being a non-character in Plague Knight and King Knight's campaigns. If I'm not allowed to due to my long absence, I understand.

[up][up] Shield Knight can still fit in Badass in Distress due to the fact that she's as capable a fighter as Shovel Knight, but her body was taken over for an undisclosed amount of time until she was able to wrest control from the Enchantress. For Shovel Knight, he wouldn't change because he is still primarily associated with his Shovel Blade

[up][up]Welcome back to the trenches! [tup] to rework Shield Knight! Wouldn't mind seeing the series get the spit-and-shine treatment.

@RJ, Judge Doom can be seen as an Foil or Evil Counterpart to Peacock. Judge Doom is a toon disguising himself as a calm and collected human due to his hatred for toons, and is the leader of the Toon Squad mafia. Peacock is a human who has been scientifically altered to be toon-like, and isn't afraid of being an Ax-Crazy Blood Knight who is still a Jerk with a Heart of Gold, while also leading a group of cronies herself. I can easily picture an inverse of his reveal scene, where instead of him surviving being flattened and revealing he's a toon, he tries to dunk some Dip onto Peacock, only for her to walk through it, revealing to him that she's a human that just loves toons.

Here is what I've gotten so far, though I feel it'll be a while before I can get Shield Knight up to standards that would be acceptable. There were a few that I had no idea where their profiles were, so I mostly made the story as to how Shield Knight was ascended more generic and reworked a few of the interactions in there. I am thinking about dropping her role to Lesser Goddess and I might change her title to "Capable Beings Who Need Rescuing" or even just use the trope name, though I will admit I only know of her actions in Shovel Knight, not of the other Shovel Knight-based games like Dig.

Shield Knight, Goddess of Powerful Beings Who Need Rescuing
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shieldknight_smile.png
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: Her asymmetric shields, The Amulet (as The Enchantress)
  • Theme Music: "The Requiem Of Shield Knight" outside of battle; in battle, "Go No Further!", "The Possessor" (as The Enchantress)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good, Neutral Evil as The Enchantress
  • Portfolio: Battle Couple with Shovel Knight, Determinator, Action Girl that needs to be rescued, tried to fight Donovan to stop him from taking the amulet, being quite efficient with her shield
  • Domains: Shields, Knights, Adventuring, Possession
  • Allies: Shovel Knight (Her lover), Zamazenta, Reinhardt, Captain America, Link, The Investigation Team, Rapunzel, Mario
  • On Good Terms With: Plague Knight, Mona
  • Opposed by: Specter Knight
  • Opposes: The Enchantress
  • Enemies: Ganondorf, King Boo, King Knight
  • Shovel Knight wasn't the only person adventuring before his game happened; he had a partner to traverse the lands in search of treasure and glory with by the name of Shield Knight. They loved hunting for treasure, the loved adventure, but most of all, they loved each other. This only led to tragedy when Shield Knight tried to stop Donovan from stealing an amulet she believed was dangerous and powerful. She failed and this incident led to her becoming the Enchantress, who in turn recruited King Knight to gather seven more knights and form the Order of No Quarter under her banner.
    • After an undisclosed amount of time, with Specter Knight having solidified her tyrannical grip on the Valley, Shovel Knight returned, his adventure leading him to the Tower of Fate to rescue his long-lost lover. After going through the Order and fighting the Enchantress, Shovel Knight found her and freed her from the Amulet's curse. Right after catching her from the air, she was up and ready to fight alongside Shovel Knight to stop the Enchantress's final form. This tale of wonder and awe, especially when she was ready to fight the moment she was freed, was what made the Court Of Gods decide to ascend her.
  • Her ascension was actually thanks to Plague Knight and Mona of all people. They were on their way to the Hall of Explosives one day when they overheard Shovel Knight training with Travis Touchdown, where the two had a conversation about saving people, with Shovel Knight recounting his journey to save his beloved Shield Knight. Despite their enmity during his time as an Order of No Quarter member, because Shovel Knight was willing to ascend Mona, he and Mona decided to pay him back, and they went to the Court Of Gods to petition for her ascension. While surprised that they would help Shovel Knight out like this, they still approved the request after recounting everything she had done.
    • Shovel Knight became aware of her ascension after waking up and finding her sleeping on his lap. While he was confused as to why she's with him, he was shown the official papers legalizing her ascension, including a testimony from Plague Knight and Mona. He was grateful towards the two, thanking them and even being open towards helping Plague Knight, given it's not going towards creating mayhem. Plague Knight ends up approaching him for tips on love, in which he obliged with enthusiasm.
    • For the other three members she remembered as The Enchantress, her reaction varied. With Plague Knight, she shares an amicable relationship with him, due to his not-insignificant contribution in weakening the Enchantress' hold on her body by taking its essence, despite having also stolen her lover's essence to create the Ultimate Potion for Mona. In contrast, she absolutely loathes King Knight for abandoning his former allies for power over Pridemoor Keep and starting the Valley's fall to her possessed hand. The Dacadent Dandy, in turn, opposes her because she is Shovel Knight's lover and would be more than willing to fight her if she stands in his way.
    • Trying to approach Specter Knight, however, was a bit more difficult. Upon approaching him to apologize, he immediately attempted attack her, still feeling vengeful about her interference costing Luan his life, and nearly turning Reize into a malevolent servant during her time as The Enchantress. Fortunately, Shovel Knight arrived and fought him off with her. He swore revenge against her for everything she had done before he left, though for the Blue Burrower, he went off towards Specter Knight's temple to try to talk him out of his revenge, while she quietly mused about what had happened between them.
  • As a proud shield user, she often went out to the Pantheon adventuring with her trusty pair of shields. One of the more surprising gods she had found was the Warrior Pokémon Zamazenta. The Shield Wolf was, in turn, intrigued at the Shield Adventurer's usage of asymmetrical shields. After she learned of his role as a part of a duo opposing Eternatus as the Hero's Shield, and he in her past and her eventual fight for her freedom, the two struck a strong friendship.
    • Afterwards, she met Captain America and the two immediately hit it off with their shields. For her, seeing the Vibranium Shield fly in such unpredictable, yet precise ways was a reminder of how far she still has to go before she mastered the art of shield-fighting, though the All-American Avenger was impressed to hear about how she utilized her shields on the field against her foes.
    • On occasion, she had found herself sparring with Reinhardt Wilhelm, a notable user of a giant shield he often uses to either protect his teammates, or to smash them into a well with his jet-booster. To her, it was like she was fighting Polar Knight with a hi-tech shield and a mighty hammer, but she enjoyed these sparring sessions with the aging Overwatch Agent.
    • Another notable shield-user that caught her interest was Link. Already notable for his Hylian Shield through many of his forms, one particular incarnation was bold enough to use his Shield as a makeshift surfboard. While she would not so readily use her own shields in such a fashion, she can't help but be impressed all the same.
  • Upon hearing of another being called the Enchantress is in the Pantheon, she was ready to throw shields against her, thinking she was the same as the Amulet's Spirit in her home realm. Before she could find her, Shovel Knight stopped her, explaining that she's not the same magician they had fought. Regardless, she doesn't appreciate the being's willingness to inflict punishment on everyone involved with The Beast.
    • On that note, she abhors Ganondorf for his evil tendencies and his penchant for possessing and hypnotizing people into his service. For the King of Evil, he is weary about the potential of her teaming up with Link to stop his schemes.
  • One wouldn't recognize it just by looking at her in her helmet, but she actually has very long blonde hair. Because of it, she found company with Rapunzel, who was impressed with how she compressed her hair into that unassuming helmet. In turn, Shield Knight was interested in seeing how Rapunzel was able to use her own hair for so many utilities while barely having a problem maintaining it.
  • As someone who was incapacitated by an evil spirit in spite of her skills, she has shown empathy toward those that are normally competent or powerful being defeated or kidnapped, saying that it's just human and life doesn't play favorites. She has forged a friendship with Mario, who has been trapped by King Boo multiple times, while opposing the King of the Boos for his sick pleasure of stuffing people into paintings.
  • Despite having been freed from the grip of The Enchantress, sometimes it feels as if she is still the horrible being that plunged the Valley in darkness. During some particularly nasty nightmares, she even can see herself as The Enchantress committing atrocities, subjugating the villages to her evil self's rule from atop the Tower of Fate, commanding the Order to commit to no quarter.

  • Enemies: SHOCKER, Dis, HIM, Malebolgia, Paradise Lost's Satan, Mundus, Scanty and Kneesocks, Corset
  • Conflicting Opinion / Enemy Mine With: The Doom Slayer
  • The Akumaizer 3 are a trio of cyborg demons hailing from the Akuma Clan, a civilization located at the center of the Earth in a place known as Downworld. When a group of warmongers led the Akuma Clan to invade the surface with the goal of subjugating humanity, Xavitan, a half-human demon, defected to humanity's side. Evil and Gabra were sent after him, but Xavitan was able to sway both of them to his side. Together they formed the Akumaizer 3 to defend humankind from the militarists who corrupted their people and reform the Akuma Clan.
  • The ascension of the Akumaizer 3 was instigated by the Grand United Alliance of Good in order to bring more Toku Heroes into the Pantheon to counter SHOCKER and their coalition of villains. Their title was chosen because the flying airship they travel in, the Zaidabeck, resembles a blue angler fish and is also capable of disguising itself as a flying ghost ship.
  • Despite the GUAG's efforts, the Akumaizer 3's ascension took some time after they were spiritually imprisoned following their Final Battle against Geberu, the strongest commander of the Akuma Clan, as the result of a curse on Geberu's Immortal Shield. It would not be until Dr. Daima of the Daima Choujin Research Institute performed a ritual to break the curse that the Akumaizer 3's souls were set free. The Akumaizer 3 then entrusted three humans with their powers to become the Choujins and protect the world in their stead, before leaving to ascend into the Pantheon.
  • The Akumaizer 3 were welcomed with open arms by the Double Kamen Riders and Jiro / Kikaider, all three of whom were happy to see another Toku Hero from their era in the Pantheon. They also became close allies of the Himitsu Sentai Gorengers, helped by the number of similarities the Akumaizer 3 have to a Sentai team and the Gorengers in particular.
  • Although most Toku Heroes in the Pantheon were happy to have the Akumaizer 3 aboard, the three demons were hesitant to approach Gentaro Kisaragi, due to an incident where Gentaro and Haruto Soma fought evil doppelgangers of them. To their pleasant surprise, Gentaro went out of his way to befriend them, happy that there was a version of the Akumaizers he could be friends with.
  • SHOCKER were displeased by the Akumaizer 3's ascent since it meant they now had another set of Toku Heroes to deal with, especially since the Akumaizer 3's ascension was brought about by the Grand United Alliance of Good. The Akumaizer 3 were likewise disgusted to learn of SHOCKER's plans to enslave humanity and corrupt select humans into becoming Kaijins, and have readily joined with the other Toku Heroes in the Pantheon to oppose them.
  • The Akumaizer 3 were happy to find that there were plenty of heroic demons in the Pantheon besides them. The three would seek out Sparda in particular after hearing stories of how he turned against his fellow demons and fought to defend humanity from them, which the Akumaizer 3 find to be quite similar to their own journey. Xavitan also went out of his way to befriend Dante, finding commonality in the fact that both were half-human and half-demon.
  • Conversely, the Akumaizer 3 were not happy by the number of malicious demons in the Pantheon, and have made known their opposition to the likes of Dis, Malebolgia and Mundus, who has reciprocated the Akumaizer 3's enmity given their alliance with his sworn enemy Sparda.
  • A self-proclaimed "Friend to Children", in his spare time Gabra has been known to go into the House of Childhood and Adolescence and entertain most of the children there by assuming his ostrich-like Gabra-Cho form and dancing around.
  • Would end up encountering with the Scarlet Sisters after stumbling upon their mansion by chance. Despite the complex morality at play in Gensokyo, the Akumaizer 3 were happy to meet more devils who weren't actively malicious towards humans. Gabra even went out of his way to befriend Flandre, and even though he wound up needing stitches after she lost control of her powers while playing with him, still left on friendly terms with her.
  • Through the Scarlets, the Akumaizer 3 were able to meet more deities from Gensokyo and were happy to find both Yōkai and humans who wanted to get along, since most of the "youkai" they encountered before were members of the warmongering faction of the Akuma Clan. They particularly became close with Byakuren Hijiri after hearing of her efforts to bring about harmony between humans and youkai.
  • Hesitantly sought out the Doom Slayer after hearing of how he singlehandedly fought back and defeated the forces of the underworld, leading the Akumaizer 3 to believe he could make a valuable ally in their campaign against the evil demons in the Pantheon. Doomguy's reaction upon meeting them was at first confusion, given how they don't at all resemble the demons he's used to fighting, followed by hostility by virtue of them being demons. Despite this, the fact that he shares so many common foes with them means that Enemy Mines between Doomguy and the Akumaizer 3 are not unheard of.
  • Although enemies with Scanty and Kneesocks, the three did make an attempt to convince the Demon Sisters to change their ways, only to be harshly rebuffed. The Akumaizer 3 were furthered displease to learn that their Arch-Enemy Mezalord had gained partial entrance into the Pantheon by becoming Scanty and Kneesocks' High Priest, and brought along several of his lieutenants as Followers.
  • Konata Izumi was excited to learn of the Akumaizer 3's ascension into the Pantheon since it meant she now had a chance to meet some of her childhood heroes. At the first opportunity, Konata approached the three demons and proceeded to sing aloud their theme song, much to their bemusement. Despite this, Akumaizer 3 were happy to have another human ally in the Pantheon.
  • According to some sources, the Akumaizer 3 and the rest of the Akuma Clan are not actually true demons at all, but the descendants of an ancient group of humans who migrated into the Earth to escape a disaster and modified themselves with machinery to survive in the harsh climate. These rumors have made some like Doomguy slightly more open to the prospect of working with them.

  • Queen Hedrian Respected By: Most minions in the House of Villainy
  • The Machine Empire Black Magma are a cult of mechahumans based from the North Pole with their sights on world domination. To this end, they reawakened Queen Hedrian, the ruler of the Vader Clan, to aid them in their conquest of the world. However, Hedrian secretly had her own intentions of taking control of Black Magma and was soon joined by Amazon Killer, a Vader Clan field officer with whom she began plotting with. Things were further complicated by the arrival of Inazuma Ginga, a space outlaw and former partner of Amazon Killer's, whose entrance into Black Magma led to its membership descending into a series of backstabs that eventually caused it to collapse.
  • They were brought into the pantheon by the combined efforts of SHOCKER, the Black Cross King and the Grand United Alliance of Evil, who took notice of the number of powerful villains in the organization and believed they would be strong allies. They soon came to regret this however after discovering how volatile Black Magma is as an organization, with the amount of friction between the various factions within it making them very difficult to work with.
  • Currently there are two primary factions within Black Magma, one helmed by its original leader Führer Hell Saturn and the other by ex-Vader Clan members Queen Hedrian and Amazon Killer. There also exists a third faction led by Inazuma Ginga that is much smaller than the other two.
  • It has come to the Pantheon's attention that Black Magma may in fact be behind the invention of the smartphone, having at one point devised a plan to create an "all-knowing device" to turn humans complacent and lazy, a scheme that would be realized several decades later. A number of Super Sentai deities have become wary of using Apple products as a result of this.
  • Exclusive to Hell Saturn and Zero Girls:
    • Despite the fact that the GUAE were responsible for their ascension, Hell Saturn and the Zero Girls opted to join the Grand United Alliance of Machines instead, finding that they had much closer aligned goals. That being said, they're still willing to work with the GUAE on some occasions, although their decision hasn't left them on especially good terms with the GUAE.
    • Soon found close allies in the Cybermen, being greatly impressed by their Cyber-Conversion process, viewing it as a streamlined way to advance their goal of mechanizing the world.
    • Hell Saturn would find another strong ally in Dr. Wily after becoming impressed by the number of Robot Masters he was responsible for building. He has presently begun providing Black Magma's technology to the scientist so he can combine it with his process for building robots in order to create even stronger "Monger Masters." This alliance has however earned Hell Saturn and his followers the enmity of Mega Man and his friends, not helped by the fact that Black Magma have also expressed a desire to disassemble Mega Man in the hopes of implementing his power replicating technology in their own line of Mongers.
    • The Zero Girls were caught off guard when a young man named Hiro approached them asking for Zero Two, only for it to turn out to be a case of mistaken identity. Needless to say, both he and Zero Two weren't too pleased to learn of another "Zero Two" doing evil deeds out there.
    • It wasn't long after that the Zero Girls attracted the attention of Kirby, who confused their Zero Two with a certain foe of his. Even though the misunderstanding was cleared up, Kirby remains hostile to Black Magma after learning of their own evil plans.
    • Hell Saturn was able to convince Susie to ally with his faction by offering to help her build up a new version of the Haltmann Works Company by supplying her with their resources, including access to their machine for making Mongers. In exchange, Susie has begun providing Black Magma with schematics for the technology used by the HWC, with which Hell Saturn hopes to use to expand Black Magma's dominion into outer space.
  • Exclusive to Queen Hedrian and Amazon Killer:
    • Queen Hedrian was very happy to be reunited with the rest of her minions from the Vader Clan after naming them as her heralds, having lost all of them in her conflicts with the Denzimen and Demon King Banriki.
    • Unlike Hell Saturn, Hedrian and Amazon Killer accepted the GUAE's invitation to join. However, Hedrian herself has raised objections to the leadership style of many of its members, as she greatly cares about her servants and believes in treating minions with respect. Because of this, Hedrian has come to be greatly respected by most of the minions within the House of Villainy for her kind approach to leadership.
    • Took pity on the Doronbo Gang for the amount of mistreatment they suffered at the hands of their boss. As a result, thanks to Hedrian's reputation as a Benevolent Boss, it didn't take long for the Doronbo Gang to ally with Hedrian's faction, with Doronjo even striking up a friendship with Queen Hedrian. Boyacky has also begun building mecha for Hedrian to help her faction compete with Hell Saturn.
    • Despite the fact that two are very similar, Hedrian and the Evil Queen do not get along. Both are vain to the point where they won't admit to anyone but themselves being the Fairest of Them All, and Hedrian did not take kindly to the Evil Queen accusing her of copying her, accusing the Queen of copying her instead.
    • In contrast, Hedrian gets along much better with Queen Beryl and is sympathetic to her lust for Prince Endymion. Although there are conflicting reports as to how well Beryl treats her minions, Hedrian has tried to nudge her towards a more positive approach.
    • Amazon Killer would attract the attention of Esdeath after Esdeath heard talk of how strong Amazon Killer was and approached her with the suggestion that they team up. While Amazon Killer was perturbed by some of Esdeath's sadistic tendencies, she recognized how powerful an ally that Esdeath could be and accepted her offer.
  • Exclusive to Inazuma Ginga:
    • While Inazuma Ginga is technically an enemy to all Toku Heroes, the Space Sheriffs of the Galactic Union Police have identified Inazuma Ginga as a specific target of theirs due to him being a fugitive of their organization.
    • Though he prefers to operate on his own, in response to Hell Saturn and Hedrian allying with two of the Pantheon's Grand Alliances, Inazuma Ginga decided to join one himself to prevent his faction from being crushed by Hell Saturn and Queen Hedrian's faction. As such, Inazuma Ginga threw his lot in with the Grand United Alliance of Chaos, believing that their philosophy was the most closely aligned with his.
  • Although the three factions of Black Magma are at odds most of the time, they can be forced to work together by the Omnipotent God, the true leader of Black Magma and the god that they worship, should he choose to intervene.

Just imagine something here.

[up] for the Akumizer 3, Akira Fudo/Devilman is a teenager who merged with a demon to protect his world from other, more deadly demons. The Cast of Helltaker aren't tradionally good guys, but they're chill with anyone who isn't a dick to them, and they mostly just party. so i guess "on good terms?"

for Black Magma, in general they'd be opposed by heroic robot gods like Jenny Wakeman, Copernica, (maybe more with hedrian and amazon, considering she's a magic robot), Astro Boy, and his good friend Pluto. The Adeptus Mechanicus are a cult of machine worshipping members of the imperium of man, though they care far more for older technology then new techogly thanks to their religious beliefs. for Inazuma in particular, Gigen is an insane space kaiju Psycho for Hire. Ridley, Rayvis, and Razorbeard are also space pirates.

Roboute Guilliman and Lion El Johnson? They should've had their own pages before Lemam Russ.

[up][up]I am thinking of characters already up in the House of Heroism that should be moved there. That being said, I like some of your thought process. That being said, seeing others with wisdom on the series would be interesting. I think that Roboute Guilliman fits Space Marine more than Leman Russ who currently has it, though I have also heard an idea of the nine Loyalist Primarchs combined having it. Though that would be quite the arduous task. Just wanted to share that; I don't intend on working on much of the series since I am far from an expert.

[down]OK, ignore that

[up] To clarify, Hamana's suspension does NOT end in August, and that's not an official thing of any kind. That was just the time I said I would be comfortable taking ideas from his sandbox since it would indicate he wouldn't be coming back anytime soon. Their suspension being released is hingent on them working substantially on other parts of the forums and site without issue, as far as I am aware, which they have not done from the looks of it.

I have a new idea but uncertainty in how I want to pursue it. I am considering a couple tropes to pick for The Irken Empire. One is Abusive Alien Parents from Nights Da Jester. Irkens are grown in jars and enter military training immediately after "birth." The first sound a young Irken will hear in its life is an automated voice saying, "Welcome to life, Irken child. Report for duty." They nevertheless seem to have familial feelings, since Zim considers the "cold, unfeeling robot arm" that activated him as his parent. The other idea would be Powerful, but Incompetent. The Irkens are the most powerful empire in the setting, with incredibly advanced technology. While Zim is an idiot by any standards, the Irken empire stands as incredibly superficial, has some skewed priorities (ie dismissing competent invaders for being short and thinking the Tallest are deserving for, well, being tall) and have very little tactical sense. If it wasn't for the setting being mostly full of idiots they'd probably be as bad at conquest as Zim. I would have this be an ensemble of in general, the Tallest, Invader Skoodge, Tak and Sizz-lor.
