Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:
- When writing a profile, take note of the following:
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
- If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
- If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
- Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
- Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
- For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
- For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
- No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
- You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
- When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
- When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
- You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
- For new and reworked deities, 3
means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
- For new and reworked deities, 4
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 5
is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
- Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
- For new and reworked deities, 3
- For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 4
is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
- Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
- The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
- Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "
" or "
".
- Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
- Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
- Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
- On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
- You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
- When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
- Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
- Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
- To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
- Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
- When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
- All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
- The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
- A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
- If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
- For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
- For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website
is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site
to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
- Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
- Pantheon Content:
- Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
- As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
- Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
- For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
- Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
- For Profile Standards:
- Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
- Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
- Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
- On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
- Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
- Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
- Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
- Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
- Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
- Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
- Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
- Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
- Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
- Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
- Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
- Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud
or YouTube
.
- Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
- For Pokémon deities only:
- Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
- Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
- Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
- Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
- Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
- High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
- Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
- Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
- Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
- Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
- Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
- Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
- Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
- Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
- Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
- Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
- Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
- Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
- OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
- Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
- The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
- The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
- Domains: Things that the place has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
- Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
- Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
- Domains: Things that the item has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

For Ji-Woo, perhaps something with Juri Han given how she initially joined the main villain M. Bison's sub-group SIN to get close enough to kill him after some of his goonies killed her parents, before eventually liking the carnage she was able to cause and becoming sadistic. Other than that,
to Ji-Woo and Eric.
@Azure Good point. I based Kane's deity status as demigod given that he was a normal person who has survived the supernatural world. Turns out I underestimated what Kane could do. If the Marvel comics version was to be considered, then he also fought against Dracula and even more mystical beings (alongside other assistance past N'Longa). I can imagine fights against Philip and Solomon being a 75/25, with a 50/50 chance if N'Longa, his other companions and the Staff of Solomon are considered and most of Kane's loses being more of him retreating and cutting his losses instead of pursuing Philip further.
As for the whole Solomon imposter thing, it is more of a what-if scenario: given Kane's strong adherence to old-school Christianity and his puritanism + black/white morale mindset, he would not like the idea that there are other "gods" in the Pantheon that either mimic or pretend to be the God that he follows. Its why I mentioned YHVH, God from God, the Devil and Bob and Solomon, since the staff N'Longa gave him turned out to be not just a simple juju staff, but a staff originating from Judea, hinted to be the same staff wielded by the original King Solomon. In addition, I would also imagine that if I was in Kane's shoes, the idea of magic in the world of Fate just as counts as pagan magic. Remember, Kane is pure black/white in terms of what he interprets and it took several stories for him to be convinced that some were innocent than others.
@Forgo. I based their reaction under the reaction everyone gives to Solomon in all stories where he is featured: almost everyone describes seeing Solomon as a case of staring death in the face, be it the villagers, cultists and even those he would kill near the end of their lives (though he doesn't always get the last kill).
Philip's position has been overridden. Solomon Kane has ascended.
By the way, I checked but shouldn't William Blazkowicz be a Lesser God (he only gets powerful supernatural artifacts in Wolfenstein 2009) and Jimmy Hopkins be Demigod (since he is just a kid)?
@Crimson. I am thinking that if ever I have the chance to rework Rosarita "Roberta" Cisneros in a future Black Lagoon revamp, I am thinking if she, Sakura Matou and another female representative to replace Maleficent can be made for the House of Revenge and Retribution. So far, Ji-Woo and/or Moon Dong-eun are the ones I could pick for a new female representative. I am also thinking the names on how to split the 6 guardians. Other than that, final

Ned Flanders and Orel Puppington would have interesting interactions with Solomon.

But... That still doesn't explain how he's supposed to pose a threat to Belos, since the worst he could normally do is cut him apart... Only for Belos to just pull himself back together. And as for Luz and Amity, okay, but again, Philip is undoubtedly more dangerous, and they aren't scared of him, so why would they fear Solomon instead of "just" being strongly opposed to, if not outright enemies with, him (and likely more than a little bit disgusted that he would be willing to go after them or their friends Akko, and Diana despite them being teenagers)? It just... Feels a bit OOC to me. Not commenting on Eirudy or Moccamori since I know very little about them, and can't comment on character interaction.

Sorry for the late response, but I wondering if you could consider interactions with the following characters:
- Catholics who fight dark forces such as Ciel and Alexander Anderson? Would be ally himself with Catholics?
- Archangel Michael?
- Aslan?

It's time to face your fearsJust to let you all know, Hamana has been suspended once again
, so they can't edit Solomon's profile with these new interactions, at least for now.

- Ballister is a child of the lower classes, who broke into the Institute with the goal of learning to fight monsters. He is apprehended by Institute guards. Queen Valerin mades an exception for him: although Ballister is not from a noble bloodline, she thinks he might have the makings of a hero, and gives him a chance to train at the Institute to become a knight. Things seemed good; he trained and became boyfriends with Ambrosius and he became top of his class. Things went to pot though when his sword was switched for a laser which killed the queen on his knighting, and he was framed for regicide. A wanted man, he would meet the mysterious punk Nimona arrives, who applied to be his sidekick due to his reputation. He was spooked out by them, as like much of Citadel City he was nervous around the supernatural. The two eventually grew a friendship, where Ballister would realize her Card-Carrying Villain shtitck was a cover for a hurt person who had been considered a monster. He would work to eventually expose the real culprit behind who framed him, but also try to help people realize Nimona is no monster. Nimona apparently died in a Heroic Sacrifice to stop the Director, the one who framed Ballister and who was ready to fire the wall gun on the city against her. After reuniting with Ambrosius and being recognized as a hero once more, he'd learn Nimona was still alive after sprucing out her hideout.
- The knights of the Institute were trained to fight the supernatural monsters that supposedly exist beyond the wall... but it turns out that none of them have actually encountered monsters before and don't even know what they look like. This applies to Ballister; he was immediately nervous around Nimona, putting their relationship on the rocks despite the fact that Nimona has just broken him out of prison. It led him to be Innocently Insensitive around them and it took time for him to accept how integral shapeshifting and being supernatural is to her. So Phasmophobic Bruiser is still applicable to him given how it ties into his narrative arc, and there are a bunch of supernatural beings in the Trope Pantheon that can spook him or at least give him caution at first glance. Usually he's able to overcome this, though there are unfortunately a lot of supernatural entities who do deserve the name of "monster". Of course at the same time, there are normal humans like the Director who fit the description of "monster". Emperor Belos is one of the main examples of that, especially later on when he started bonding with Luz and Amity, and got the idea of how Philip Wittebane emphasizes what it means to be a monster.
- Nimona was waiting for the day that their closest friend would make it to the Trope Pantheon. More specifically, the Netflix adaptation, where both undergo a good deal with Adaptational Heroism even if neither of their webcomic selves were unsympathetic. There's a degree of Adaptation Displacement, much like with Shrek. Shrek happens to get along with Ballister by the way, in part an extension of his friendship with Nimona. Despite his somewhat crude exterior Ballister picked up a man who learned to love himself and who ultimately stands up for the marginalized, and the ogre respects how he stood up for Nimona and proved himself a hero. Given it's the Netflix adaptation the pantheon kept in mind, its made the knight interested in other properties. He's very much against the murderous A.I Ares, who killed and impersonated his creator as part of his scheme against mankind. Generally he's friendly with 7723, showing a fair bit of curiosity about her technology. He might not be the Mad Scientist from the source material but he's good at technology, being able to whip up a prosthetic arm pretty quickly.
- Nowadays he's more so wary of the House of Betrayal and Treachery due to how he was framed by an authority figure he expected he could trust, though he still rarely visits the House of Magic and Sorcery. Ballister's not the only Phasmophobic Bruiser in the pantheon, or someone who had to overcome their phobia of the supernatural. The Dothraki, for instance, are proud warrior culture who are superstitous and greatly fear magic, especially blood magic. As a bunch of brutal warrior rapists running off ideas of toxic masculinity, he doesn't relate to them in the slightest. Ballister has been getting Nimona to mess with the Trunchbull for what a awful bully she is, noticing her fear of the supernatural. On the much more pleasant side of things, his trope is also applicable to Gimli and Knuckles. For Knuckles, he has, or at least had a fear of ghosts and Gimli possesses some degree of anxiousness over the supernatural. Typically they get along even if they're not the biggest of friends, and occasionally they test Ballister out in a fight for the fun of it.
- Unlike in the webcomic where he grew up in the institute, in the movie he grew up on the streets and worked his way up. Part of why he was framed by the Director is because she was an elitist livid at the queen's choice of him. With that in mind, Ballister has a very strong dislike of the (possibly?) murderous Patrick Bateman, a psychopathic yuppie who is both homophobic and especially elitist, thus annoyed by Ballister. Knowing he's just a normal if Ax-Crazy person Ballister makes it a point to make fun of him for being pretentious, overall pathetic and would go nowhere fast if it wasn't for Nepotism. Also, with this in mind, Ballister Boldheart and Ochacho Uraraka have become friends. Like him she's a Penny Among Diamonds who joined U.A to help her family financially, while also being genuinely heroic. Ballister and Speedwagon are on good terms, with Speedwagon having started out a poor vagabond but managing to become a wealthy philanthropist who's organization would aid the Joestars for generations to come.
- He's a more positive spin on the Black Knight trope. Asides from wearing black armor at the start, he's a knight who lost his queen and living in a life of shame similar to how real black knights are knights with no master. He tries to live up to the ideals of knights, and has become friends with a number of them, such as the captain of the royal guard Undyne. She also happens to be gay like him, though that's more coincidental to their friendship. One of his best friends, asides from Nimona, is Brienne of Tarth. She's one of the most honorable and kind-hearted people in the setting, however she was accused of causing her liege's death due her presence at the assassination and its supernatural nature. She's far from the only Westerosi native to get along with him, though she probably does the most. Arya Stark reminds him of Nimona, and Jon Snow has taken a liking to him, noting asides from general heroism they have a penchant for dark clothing, proficiency with a sword and a Dating Catwoman dynamic, albeit under quite different contexts. Unfortunately for Jon, his relationship with Ygritte ended in tears. Batman has mused on Ballister and Ambrosius' relationship, though with it being flipped on who's on what side of the lore compared to his dynamic with Catwoman. He's glad the two were able to make up and Ballister was able to clear his name. Ballister considers even if he's more a vigilante, and a detective, he definitely lives up to a lot of the "knight" part of the Dark Knight.
- The Silver Agent is another very honorable hero, though not explicitly a knight, who was framed for a crime. While it sadly led to him being executed, thanks to time travel he was able to achieve a lot waiting his sentence. Alan explained that he could have cleared his name but it risked unravelling the positive future he visited. This got him a lot of respect from Bal, who's not sure if he would be able to do the same thing in his shoes. Due to how Ballister was framed he has gotten an accord with heroic deities who like him, Brienne and Alan, were also framed. For example, he and Ken bonded over the latter being framed for a terrorism attack on the small country Nayshall by JP, and while his name has been cleared now he is still very abrasive about it. Sirius Black is someone else he got along with, being framed by Wormtail as the murderous traitor of the Potters. While Ballister is repulsed by Peter Pettigrew's actions he considers him too pathetic to antagonize all that much, noting with how he's mired in shame he's already being punished for his actions.
- If you go by the idea Nimona is an allegory for being trans/non-binary Ballister could represent more "mainstream" and normalized queer people who nevertheless express hostility to trans people due to being more outside than them. Ballister is a marginalized identity who was uncomfortable and even discriminated against Nimona because she is lower in the hierarchy of "acceptableness" even if they're both victims and have more in common than differences. Thankfully, he grew out of it. Ballistor Boldheart is happy to know that much of the Trope Pantheon are accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, and has endeared himself to trans and non-binary deities because of his ultimate support of Nimona. For example, he is supportive of Donna Troy's daughter Rose and her transgender identity. Amusingly, he is looked on positively by Doge since he has a transgender daughter, Phoebe.
- Loras Tyrell has mused he is more easy on the eyes than he heard from the webcomic, which he muses as being a consequence of being more modeled after his voice actor. Occasionally the two get into some friendly sparring matches, with Renly observing and musing "I'm sure Jaime could do with his robot arm". While a bit cautious around Renly for his usurping and Corrupt Politician traits, even at his worst he's quite affable and he thinks Loras and Renly make for a good power couple. Also, Renly is a fine knight as far as he's concerned. Ballister is naturally supportive to other same sex couples, though he is also generally sympathetic to pairing that get negative public attention. For example, he feels bad for Nabi and Doki. He also feels bad for Jack and Ennis, though he does wish it didn't have to involve adultery. Luz and Amity became allies with him due to their friendship with Nimona and a shared opposition to Belos. Beyond shared support for another queer couple and a desire to do good, they have some mutual interests.
- On the flip side Ballister scoffs at Jack from Jupiter and his blatant transphobia, despite (and perhaps because) of his fetishization of pre-op transgender prostitutes, along with the fact he's a Fake Ultimate Hero. However as long as he doesn't push his buttons about it he'll ignore Ballister as he's against unneeded conflict. That being said, there is one group that won't hold back on what they think, and it's the Nazis...because of course it's the Nazis. In all seriousness since homosexuals were one of the groups they persecuted and tried to wipe out, Bal has personal reasons to hate them. Red Skull imagines he and the Director would get along to some degree, which says more about her than it does him...though it does say a good bit about him. Frollo has proven yet another horrible bigot, though towards Romani instead of gay people. He thinks Nimona is some sort of demon, which has only reinforced Ballister's negative opinion on the Sinister Minister. Conversly, he's rather sympathetic to Quasimodo and pities how he was treated.
- Speaking of the Seven, he has a dislike of all that they stand for, though as a brand as some of their members he gets along with. Given the lies and prejudices of the Institute, it's understandable he would dislike "fake heroes", though he never accept the violence someone like Stain goes in order to prove his point...though Stain does show some respect for him. Of course there's Starlight, whom he pities for his situation and applauds for being a genuine superheroine, but he is also a friend of Queen Maeve. More so her TV incarnation though either one is fine as they proved themselves heroic and working against Homelader. It's that her TV self had to deal with the prejudiced Vought trying to exploit her bisexuality to win brownie pointsnote . Relucantly, following his redemption arc A-Train is willing to help Ballister. Homelander is someone he highlights as a problem, even comparing him unfavorably to Todd Sureblade.
- Much like the more corrupt members of the Seven, he's not a fan of Arios' party, noting them as "a bunch of Todds". Arios is enemies outright due to siding with the Demon Lord. Given this dislike of "fake heroes", Ballister was shocked by how depraved the Mountain was, and it's not like he doesn't have competition. Gregor Clegane has earned himself the disdain of anyone who sees himself as a knight, and represents the very worst traits of a Black Knight. And with how utterly detached he is from humanity, he doesn't care what they think. Ballister is divided on his brother, though, as on one hand he is pretty unscrupulous and has innocent blood on his hands, but on the other hand he has a surprising set of morals and is honest about not being a knight. Bal's also conflicted, just not to the same degree, on Juzo Sakakura. While an angry and irritable person who's stand-offish in regards to his homosexuality, he's still a fundamentally good person.
- If it hasn't been made clear by now, bigots can GTFO as far as he's concerned, and not just homophobes and transphobes; he's not a fan of Fantastic Racism practioners either. Initially he and Hoss Delgado were on bad terms as Hoss has a history of Van Helsing Hate Crimes, however to his credit he is working to overcome his bigotry to "monsters", and is more so a Politically Incorrect Hero when it comes to fantastic creatures. More positive influence has encouraged Hoss to recognize deities like Belos and Stryker were trying to be bad influences on him, and he's working to overcome his Fantastic Racism even if he and Nimona don't quite see eye to eye yet. However sometimes he has to deal with bigots who's Fantastic Racism is flipped compared to what Nimona dealt with. Voldemort, for instance, has a hatred for Muggles desite/because of his Muggle father. Granted, he also thinks Nimona is more "half-breed" due to being a non-human magical entity, though he gives Nimona more "respect" than he would Ballister.

- Her entire life, teenaged Jentry (Wong) has been working to suppress her supernatural abilities and live out a normal life. However, when she discovers a demon king is tracking her down to steal her powers, she must accept and harness them to protect all she loves. Pursued by Mr Cheng, a Daoist priest turned into a Mogui in a failed attempt to bring his daughter back from the dead; he was promised to take Jentry's soul and powers when she became 16. Flora "Gugu" Chau, Jentry's great-aunt and the woman who raised her, is hellbent in preventing Jentry from coming to harm and trying her pyrokinetic powers, and preventing him from having access to the Yellow Emperor. With Gugu as her mentor and a new ally in the jinagshi Ed they would deal with a number of supernatural threats, primarily Chinese in origin, dealing with a number of yaoguai. While Mr Cheng and the manipulative Mogui bonded with him were ultimately defeated, there was a fair bit of heartbreak and Jentry having to come to terms with the sketchy past of her parents and the origin of her powers.
- Applies to both
- The story of Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld ended on somewhat of a bittersweet note, as while Mr Cheng and the Mogui were defeated and Jentry was able to be accepted by the town of Riverfolk, Flora was rendered Deader than Dead (though her memories were preserved with Moonie's Shen pearls). Jentry moved on with her life back to Korea but remains in a relationship with her friends in Riverfolk, Texas. The Court of the Gods was interested in her story and kind of wished there was a second season. The two ascended under the title of Detrimental Secret Keeping. Flora, better known as Gugu’s decision to keep the truth about Jentry's parents and the origins of her powers lead to profound heartache, distrust and drastic actions from Jentry. This secrecy pushes her grandniece to take drastic actions, resulting in catastrophic consequences. In her rebirth Gugu was still in the form of a ghost, which makes her invisible to most non-supernatural beings though definitely not for many of the deities present. The two reuinted with a hug, despite some of the grief that her secret keeping caused for her.
- Their home series has been described as a Spiritual Successor to American Dragon: Jake Long. Both stories feature an Asian-American teen hero with a family history in the supernatural, coming to embrace their powers and deal with supernatural threat. Some minor similarities include two teachers trying to expose their supernatural powers, or a potential love interest who's secretly working for a Big Bad. Jake Long and Jentry Chau met during one the transfers in the House of School and found out about each other's powers when fighting the sadistic Daji, who's the kind of threat she's familiar with. Gugu was observing this go down, where she ended up getting the attention of Fu Dog. The two found they had some things in common, as they have a number of unscrupulous traits but are definitely on the side of the heroes. She was surprised to hear that she was apparently a friend of Marty, noting her own friendship, albeit fraught at times, with Zhongkui. The duo have amicable ties to Hogwarts, who appreciate more heroic magical defenders; with how expansive the pantheon has gotten, Dumbledore feels some more international co-operation and co-ordination would be best for the school. Due to Jentry's alliance and similarities with Jake, the Dark Dragon sees defeating her as a high priority in order to make his dreams of dragon supremacy a reality.
- The Chaus' ascension marked them as another group of heroes from material originally produced by Netflix, and while the deities present don't share a 'verse it does give them easier access to meeting up with one another. Jentry immediately found an accord with Nimona given their situation as a result of their supernatural abilities, though both were eventually able to be appreciated for their powers. Kat Elliot was able to sense Flora Chau and Gugu encouraged her to hang out with her grandneice. While they had gained some allies, they also got some enemies. Due to their demonstrably bigoted views Emperor Belos and Frollo saw her as truly a demon girl rather than the reality of her being a nice girl who only got that because as a child she burned down much of Riverfolk wholly by accident. Stryker also believes that she is somehow demonic. With the atrocities all three have committed, she and Flora shot back by saying that if anyone should be considered a demon here, it's them.
- Interestingly, in spite of the Chaus' main adversary being a Venom Expy, they are more wary of the Klyntar than anything. This is because unlike the Mogui the clingy Venom Symbiote has grown past a lot of their possessive traits and is now more heroic, or at least an Anti-Hero. Still they're cautious around it given the being's history, and the symbiote prefers not to piss off a pyromancer. The two got to know some of Venom's past hosts, talking about their experiences with Eddie Brock and Flash Thompson. Jentry and Peter Parker are friends outright, with Spiderman relating to how Keeping Secrets Sucks and how being a hero affects your personal life. His aunt and uncle ended up bonding with Flora. Spiderman wouldn't be the only superhero they'd get along with, as Plastic Man got to know the two, musing like Jentry's parents he used to be a criminal however he turned his life around following his transformation. Gugu has commented that Acnologia reminds her a lot of her and Jentry's enemy Mr Cheng; he used to be a former human who lost everything he loved to dragons, and ended up overusing magic designed to kill said dragons, and becoming a vicious Blood Knight worse than the dragons who ruined his life. It's comparable to the dark road Mr Cheng walked after losing his daughter, though if he ascends he imagines he would not be a fan of the dragon
- Applies to Jentry Chau
- The eponymous heroine of the show, Jentry Chau is a teenaged orphan who possesses mystical pyrokinetic abilities, which she had suppressed after a tragic incident that she had caused in her youth. She gained these powers from the powers of the Robe of the Yellow Emperor being transfered into her so as those powers could not be given to Mr Cheng, after she caught on to her parnets stealing it and planning to give that to him in a deal. He refused to kill an infant but made it clear he would return on her 16th birthday, but not before killing her father. Princess Maya felt this was kind of familiar, and their relationship with the secrets of their family familiar as well. The two have struck up a friendship with one another. On a similar note, Jentry and Harry Potter became friends, Harry having an interesting relationship with his own family history and having had a destiny tied to the Big Bad from when they were an infant...Voldemort is ultimately a lot worse than Mr Cheng, though, and Harry would've died then and there if Voldemort's Avada Kedava did not rebound on him due to Lily's sacrifice.
- Initially Jentry was rather upset about her powers and just wanted to be normal, another trait that leads to her and Spidey getting along. A key part in her Character Development was recognizing that they are an integral part of who she is. Asides from pyrokinesis, she has flight, portal creation which lets her visit places in the underworld, and a Third Eye of sorts letting her see the supernatural, and more importantly for her ghosts. As proven by beings like Reimi, supernatural entities are on close enough a wavelength to Stands to see them, even if they aren't Stand users. This means that Jentry can see Stands thanks to her Third Eye. On the subject of Stand Users, she's cordial with the ascended Morioh students. At one point she used her powers to meet Zagreus and learn more about him, however Hades gave her a stern warning; he's thankful for dealing with the threat of the Mogui but messing with his job and the laws of the underworld pisses him off...keep it to other underworlds if you want to talk with his son.
- Initially had difficulty in controlling her powers, having repressed them for years and having difficulty controlling them. It's something of a talking point between her and Elsa, who has the opposite elemental powers but ones with ties to emotion, and fully coming to terms with their abilities. It's enough that occasionally they like to compete against one another with their contrasting superpowers, as a form of training. Jentry has been further training her powers with Flame Princess and Blaze the Cat, the latter emphasizing with her social awkwardness, and the former understanding learning to control your powers and standing up for yourself. On the note of Adventure Time, Jentry was very sympathetic to Simon Petrikov due to his time as Ice King, where a cursed crown gave him ice powers that ultimately let him save his surrogate daughter, but drove him mad and made him lose his identity. He's glad she was able to find peace with her powers, and that she was ultimately able to find someone.
- Her parents were telemarketers, but what her grandaunt kept secret was to earn ends meat they decided to step into the shady world of the trading of magical items. Compared to other orphan heroes there's not really a case of Deceased Parents Are the Best, as while they undoubtedly loved her they were involved in a lot of amoral stuff. Also, it turned out that her mother Moonie survived, but suffered amnesia and it wouldn't be until Jentry was on her adventure that she would find her and help recover her memories. The deal with Mr Chang was meant to be One Last Job. She has some interest in the Waynes and Naruto's parents as they truly live up the trope mentioned previously, though in the main canon and less some other continuities...or alternate timelines, like Flashpoint. Jentry Chau and Steven Universe have talked about their baggage regarding their parents.
- Jentry will get flustered and ramble whenever she is trying to hide something, she is also very determined and won’t give up. She is a fan of a number of things you'd expect from a modern teenage girl like K-pop boy groups and she's a big fangirl of NCT 127. However she also has some tomboy traits like being an Action Girl and a fan of shonen anime like Imposters Inside The Half-Moon and Naruto. While she didn't join the Grand United Alliance of Good just because Naruto was in it, it was partly her enthusiasm at getting to work alongside him. Something he noticed is that they both gained great power during their infancy, though the situation with Kurama's a lot different than with the Robe of the Yellow Emperor.
- Applies to Flora "Gugu" Chau
- Flora Chau, or Gugu as she's usually referred to is a woman with a sweet and fun demeanor, a as protector of the occult with a desire to protect relics. However this leads her to make questionable and unethical decisions, and her habit of lying and manipulating can sour how her great-neice sees her. Part of the reason she's raising Jentry is to make up for having accidentally gotten Peng killed and rendering Moonie amnesiac in her attempt to make the power of the Yellow Emperor's robes impossible to obtain for Mr. Cheng. Prior to this she guarded the Yellow Emperor's robes after she had gotten her own sister Iris killed by mistake while trying to wield its powers. Dumbledore made fast friends with her as he is still dealing with the guilt of potentially having gotten his own sister killed, and his past attraction to darker arts. She has been increasing her repitoire of magical knowledge, and in turn Dumbledore has picked up an interest in Chinese and Korean mysticism.
- A Daoist priest turned Spirit Advisor, who insists Jentry continues her education no matter what, even during her own funeral. Obi-Wan Kenobi commented on how they share some similarities, being experienced mentors who die to a main villain but are able to aid the hero through their ghost. The older Chau has been collaborating with a number of mentors in order to help protect and guard a number of magical artifacts within The Great Treasury. Like with Jentry, Voldemort is an enemy of Flora, seeing her not nearly as formiddable as Dumbledore but nothing to sneeze at either, what with her also getting in the way of his pursuit of powerful artifacts. Due to being a ghost he can't just use the "old reliable" (aka Avada Kedava) on her. Also, like Jentry she counts Jack Horner as an enemy. While he primarily wants to steal her powers for himself, he's also tried robbing Gugu's possessions.
- Ghosts in her setting are cut off from the regeneration cycle and eventually fade away with no existence in the afterlife. Hector has commented that there is something similar to those in the underworld when no-one's alive to remember them, though there is speculation they may go elsewhere. With this in mind, the Trope Pantheon acts as a double-afterlife for her, along with another heroic character-the cat Bristlefort. However a number of spirits in the pantheon do not have to worry about that. Within the Hall of Ghosts, Gugu and Reimi ended up as fast allies, the latter mentioning she would've moved on to Heaven but with her murderer in the pantheon she has a reason to stick around.
- Fundamentally Gugu is a heroic individual, but she is also very ruthless in her duties and battle, and as already mentioned her decision to hide stuff and keep secrets ends up backfiring. However, she is ultimately concerned for her family. She wasn't that enthused about her nephew and his wife/Jentry's parents getting involved in the criminal element. While Jentry's not a fan of Walter White either, Gugu has condemned him for ultimately putting his ego above his family. She has bonded with one of her mentor friends, Lisa Lisa, as she was forced to leave her family after killing the zombie that killed her husband. Flora Chau is shown to respect John Marston for ending his time as an outlaw and looking after his family. Flora and Stan Pines have ended up becoming friends at some point, being the great-aunt and great-uncle of the protagonist/s respectively and who are good, but willing to do a lot of sketchy stuff. More so on Stan's side admittedly, as he's got a rap sheet.

The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
alright, other suggestions. Gonna come back to Donquixotes later
Nami, Goddess of Weather Weaponry (She is the navigator for the Straw Hats whose specialty is going through crazy weather. Reflected that she has a baton that eventually conjures up different weather effects from heatwaves, thunderstorms, rain, clouds, mirages, and windstorms. It even has a living cloud inside it now.)
Polygon Man, Representative of Living Polyhedrons (This was a long time coming because of the outdated story stuff. This was supposed to be the Playstation mascot, being a polygon shape to represent the 3rd dimension but this mascot was canned by Sony after it was called creepy. But it came back in All Stars where it still uses that idea he represents the Playstation brand, even using polygon versions of characters to overtake the Playstaion characters.)

Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping.for Polygon Man, i'd be fine with his existince, though i do have a potential replacement idea for his trope.....
Thomas Was Alone
is an indie platformer where you control an ensemble of variously colored quadrilaterals that represent emerging A.I.s. While none of them speak directly, the narration ends up giving each a unique personality and voice, which is pretty good for a pantheon profile's ability to find interactions. again, fine if poly gets in, just food for thought
of course, i'm not AS active with profile making as i am maintaning the pantheon, so i'll just leave it in my sandbox, if you're interested in the game or adopting it, go there. for myself thougj, i'll leave it there for the day i'll gain enough confidence to get into profile making again, probably this summer since i HATE high school.

The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
I was thinking Video Game 3D Leap for Polygon Man, since he is supposed to represent the capabilities of Playstation by being 3d, bringing 3d gaming to be common. With the new third dimension processing power that the Playstation is capable of, play has no limits which Polygon Man still apparently embodies past a failed mascot.
Also, nothing about Nami from anyone.
Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping.Real quick, folks: Nights will be adopting the profiles for Manny, Meche, and Glottis from me!
Freudian Excuse: Not one person is entirely good or evil; something will have to have happened in the past to make them what they are today.

Alright, I'm topping this.
Finally got around to it, but here are Eric Myers and Yoon Ji-woo again, now fully updated and ready for reposting. I think I've added enough to their profiles, though I am open to any additional suggestions.
Oh yes, I should note that once ascended, Eric will become a Guardian Rep for Communities and Solitude as his trope is currently held by Solo. I am okay if there are any other potential reps to be considered in case anyone else wants another rep.
