Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@RJ: For both profiles, Prince Euden is definitely noteworthy as he is someone who has the ability to not only bond with dragons for their power and assistance, but also using dragonpacts to enable himself and allies to become dragons themselves. He is basically the runt of his royal family regardless but still holds respect for them even as he is pitted against them during the events of his game due to being labelled as a traitor by his demon-possessed father. For Jon Snow in particular, he may get along with King Graham of the Daventry Royal Family as he is a knight who ascended to the throne via proving himself through tests and became a worthy king himself.

@Crownless: Xenos is a creator god (formerly human) who manifested Fiends with his lingering hatred, and also created archdemons as mockeries of the ideals of free will, chaos, and possibility. For the Idols, Kasane Fuchi had a hideous appearance that she circumvented by using a magical lipstick to steal the beauty of others as she coveted that beauty for fame and a better social life.

  • Ambiguous relationship with: The Backrooms

  • Opposed by: The Coachman, surprisingly enough
  • The Primary Color Man is an enigmatic entity that looks like a bald human in bright, primary colors of red, blue and yellow. He is some sort of predator of humans, something he takes as a sport, which is pretty easy since he can ignore the laws of physics and do stuff like pass through solid objects. His main method of attack is sensory manipulation, more specifically sensory overstimulation, resulting in things like hallucination and tinnitus. Typically it involves warping of color in these hallucinations. Fatal overload of the brain leads to oozing primary colors from the eye sockets like blood. Some say he can invade peoples' dreams, and he prefers going to indoor playgrounds, ball pits or sleeping and otherwise vulnerable states. Places like ball pits and kids' playgrounds help him blend in, though it also suggests he finds the children there a nice target.
  • The Primary Color Man is an entity by horror artist Leovincible, who has made a number of monsters and anomalous creatures in a similar vein and theme to Trevor Henderson. Almost fittingly, the Primary Color Man was attracted to the Trope Pantheon due to Siren Head trying to lure in prey, only for him to mistake the lure for his intended prey. When some poor mortal schmuck found himself attracted by the lure, the Primary Color Man leaped on him and overstimulated his brain to the point it caused brain death and oozed color out his orifices, while giving Sirenhead a look as if to say "I've marked my territory; don't make me have to do this again". Due to the Primary Color Man's unique abilities and power to weaponize overstimulation, he was considered a fitting entity for the trope of Sensory Overload. Due to his intentions being vague its not known if he's recognizably evil or is more so a predator going after convenient prey, but few if anyone wants to ask him for answers, assuming he's willing or capable of it.
  • He has a female counterpart in the Secondary Color Woman, who possesses very similar powers but different temperament. She cares about people and will protect them against his hunts. Additionally, there is a holiday spirit known as "Christmas Color Man". By far the strongest of these color-themed entities is Monochrome Husk, who is associated with depression and suicide. Typically these beings are referred to as Chromafolk, though it is ambiguous whether they are a "species" or have some deeper connection beyond thematic and power similarities. Given the existence of the trope Secondary-Color Nemesis, there's an irony his good counterpart is the one decking those colors. Wick, Father of Colors, finds him a very amusing predator and temporarily amped him up to near-Greater God status. Mainly just to see what happens. While he took the amp back after his curiosity was sated, the Primary Color Man felt it was rather productive. The Joker seems to think its amusing given his experience with superheroes, and the Primary Color Man finds the way he bears his teeth "neat".
  • After getting an idea of how the Joker enjoys his battles with the Caped Crusader, he decided to do something odd and suggest the Secondary Color Woman and Monochrome Husk as his heralds. This is an act of establishing dominance given he is part of the pantheon and they are "merely" heraldsnote , but with the Joker as mentioned he can see it making his hunts actually entertaining. The Primary Color Man has a morbid interest in Pikachu due to a notorious episode that caused seizures in epileptic kids. Despite having a beef due to being blamed for the incident, the Porygon line actually came in to aid. Perhaps as a desire to overcome the stigma of the base Porygon's anime appearance, they have sworn to stop Primary Color Man and protect those especially vunerable like the eplieptic from the Humanoid Abomination.
  • The distortions of this being include intense synthesia, rendering someone colorblind or enhancing the saturation of color. One of his victims suffered intense pain seeing the color red and intense nausa seeing the color green. Like a chameleon he can shift his coloration as a means of coloration. Being colorblind is not a defense to his affliction of Sensory Overload, and in his attempts to break into the House of Colours he has been staring with an eager grin at Hitomi Tsukishiro and Joe Bonham. For the latter with the fate he was stuck in after the war it might count as a Mercy Kill, were it not for how horrifyingly disorienting getting his hands on your head will end up being. Due to his vulnerable state, the Primary Color Man considers him convenient prey. He's interested in Philip J Fry, noting a "unique brain" and he might be an interesting taste. Unlike the Brain Slugs he's not eating thoughts/mental energy so he wouldn't be empty calories to the Primary Color Man, and being Immune to Mind Control does not make one immune to Sensory Overload. Fry seems to have some level of syntheisa (he's where Tastes Like Purple gets its name), which might make him even more vulnerable.
  • To absolutely no-one's surprise, the Primary Color Man has been banned from the House of Colours, though it can prove a difficult ban to set up now that he's got some distance on his main rival. The main concern is that he will either blend in or use the colors as basis to afflict his victims with. He has managed to sneak in long enough to learn about Color out of Space, a strange meteorite that eminates an unknown color that corrodes the area it's in. He makes it a point not to go near anything it has poisoned, implying the alien color is..unpalatable for him. Chica's Magic Rainbow is a huge tool and a rainbow of the same primary colors so she wants to know more about him. He tried to harass Gris and warp her perception of red, blue and yellow to a burning, drowning and numb sensation, only to be found out by the Masters of Spinjitzu and forced to get into a long enough fight he could be identified and kicked out with the ban enforced.
  • Sometimes he makes a poor impression without having to directly antagonize people. The Children of Neon Genesis Evangelion have dealt with an entire wave of mind-shattering Angels invading Earth, so fighting off a creature like the Primary Color Man is second nature for them. Asuka is particularly eager to do so, for very personal reasons. His abilities to overwhelm and overstimulate makes him a threat to Kryptonian deities, allowing him to cause Superman of all people to stumble while trying to stop him, as overwhelming sounds are one of their major weaknesses. Clark compared the experience to the Red Kryptonite contingency used against him, however he was experienced enough in fighting tactics like this to push through the pain and frighten the entity into not antagonizing again, not the least because by comparison to the Man of Steel the Primary Color Man is a Squishy Wizard. The humanoid is believed to have some level of pride for being able to stagger the Kryptonian, and the next victim of his apparently suffered a burning or electrical sensation when seeing red or blue respectively.
  • Pretty much by default his method of hunting and inflicting overstimulation is a form of Mind Rape. Ma’alefa’ak is wondering if he can somehow sway the Primary Color Man to his interests, however as a solitary hunter the Primary Color Man would only really consider that if he can help him dissuade from people getting in the way of his goals. They have a relatively positive relationship as Malefic is the Arch-Enemy of his brother the Martian Manhunter, who's enhanced telepathy, psychic powers and a grab bag of other superpowers lets him outclass the entity and stop him from causing problems. As can be guessed at this point, he's become rather interested in the DC Universe. The Emotional Entities and the Emotional Spectrum are particularly fascinating to the entity. One can only imagine what emotions go through the creature, but a common thought by the various Lantern Corps is to keep him away due to his use of colors and being this predator with a malicious streak and ambiguous nature.
  • Mongul, the pantheon's official representative for the Secondary-Color Nemesis, notes the irony that in the Leovincible universe, its the entity clad in green, purple and orange you want to run into and not the one decked out in Superman's colors. He ponders on the idea of letting him participate in his gladiatorial matches, believing he might be a good "quirky fighter" for his Bread and Circuses strategy. Due to being supervillains associated with certain colors, Mister Negative and the Purple Man seek to know more about the creature. Killgrave in particular has noted they both affect someone mentally, it's just done in a different way. Also, while the Primary Color Man is a visual entity, Killgrave is sound-based in his method of affecting people. Personally the Primary Color Man is interested in the Psycho-Pirate, as his Medusa Mask can manipulate emotions and that could compliment his powers. However he himself isn't immune to the Medusa Mask, so Roger Hayden dissuaded him by forcibly inflicting sorrow and guilt. While still interested in the supervillain, it is a sore spot.
  • Like Pennywise, he goes after kids. It's more implied and he doesn't have the same preference, but few would say that matters. It's possible he merely uses colorful children's establishment like ball pits to go after adult prey, but no-one's taking any chances or pulling the devil's advocate card. He is not allowed to visit the House of Childhood and Adolescence, though not to the extent that IT is. Speaking of IT, the Dancing Clown . Perennial Child Hater and child killer William Afton gets what he's doing, and finds it "fascinating and fun". Due to his undead status the Primary Color Man doesn't consider him viable prey, so instead he decided to go along with what Springtrap was doing. This has led to getting the emnity of the Cassette Man and the possessed Fazbear animatronics, with Golden Freddy being able to follow him with their own teleportation abilities. Due to the many concerned parents in the House of Family and Relatives he's not popular there, however the Primary Color Man is an equal opportunity predator. If the parents there prove "tastier", he'll choose them as his prey.
  • Has been reported in the Backrooms, the reasons being so being something the SCP Foundation is trying to answer. So far, no results. What's notable is that his ability to clip through walls and ignore physics to a good degree applies even there, making him an entity who can't be contained in that realm. He has, however, been booted from Level 906 from a very angry Blanche. Althought a mind-shattering Eldritch Abomination, she is friendly to humans and prefers the form of a Hot Librarian. After he started killing and eating visitors he became a Persona Non Grata to Level 906, under penalty of her demonstrating there's Always a Bigger Fish. This is something he is quite salty about, since he is reminded of the Secondary Color Woman. The Partygoers consider Primary Color Man as a threat to their ambitions given his ability to access worlds beyond theirs.
  • He is not popular with the Pinatas. He finds their colorful appearances quite interesting and likes to hunt them. Since they're notably not human he has a harder time distorting their senses, but with practice he will probably overcome this. Due to how he alters people's perception of color and gives negative associations with them, he could prove potentially even more devestating predating on them than he would on humans. In the pursuit of food he has occasionally found himself up against Tamatoa when pursuing food, who has shown to easily out-muscle him but is easier to affect, albeit rather resistant in comparison to humans to, his powers. Surprisingly the Primary Color Man has been given a ban from Pleasure Island. The Coachman needs the kids alive and he doesn't want the Primary Color Man blending into the colorful environment to "nab some snacks". Of course, as he's probably just a cruel human he's also kind of scared the entity will target him.
  • It's not quite clear where he came from. The image "Primary Color Man before the fall" is a picture of human man in a suit of primary colors, and there is another image with the person having a hole in the face named "Primary Color Broke". The implication is that he used to be human but died of a nasty wound to his face and became the Humanoid Abomination he's known of today. If this is his origin story, it's unclear if that would mean the Secondary Color Woman used to be human as well. This possible origin part of why he concerns the Partygoers, as they are a race of former human beings. With this in consideration, he has a growing interest in other malevolent monsters that were once human. One such human is Kayako Saeki, a normal Japanese housewife who became a genocidal spirit after death. The flamboyantly colorful Ragyo Kiryuin finds the entity interesting with his apparent backstory in mind, her having once been human but has now fully given herself to the Life Fibres. Whether anything of his humanity is still there is a mystery, but most think his stalking of the Hall of Transhumanist Archetypes implies at least something human is still there.
  • His incoming presence has been warned of by Long Horse, Sirenhead's nemesis. Even more so than Primary Color Man, Long Horse is able to interact with people's dreams, which leads to some "awkwardness" regarding him arriving in dreams where Long Horse is already present. The Animalistic Abomination is different enough to be immune to his Sensory Overload, which gives the colorful creature a fair bit of grief. That being said, he considers the SCP Foundation more of an obstacle. He is not an SCP, but by all standards count as anomalous and has become a source of interest for the Foundation. As a sort of "safety in numbers" strategy the Primary Color Man has decided to work with SCP-106. The Old Man is a teleporting Humanoid Abomination who was probably human once, though Multiple-Choice Past is in play with him. There's a maliciousness in play with both entities, but SCP-106's sadism is a lot more obvious. And, of course, a desire for the thrill of the hunt, though only under their own terms.

[up][up][up][tup] for Primary Color Man

for Lei, this MAY be a bit vapid, but I wonder if there's an interaction within his love for naps. take the Slumber and Sleepiness hall for instance. probably the easiest interaction COULD be rip van winkle, I think? oh yeah. Doctor Destiny is a sick in the head serial killer/mad scientist. so if you add something like that i'll give you a [tup]

anywho, as for Sergai, i'm kinda conflicted. on the one hand, Sniper's whole deal is mantaining a professional sniper image.....on the other hand, even he genuinely loves her, The Spy had gone far enough in his psychological warfare tactics that he shows his enemies pornography of him with their mothers.

Asides from what I said about Primary Color Man (anyone else a Leovincible fan?), thanks to Space Protagonist and Netflix I have a first draft of Kurt Kunkle. Depraved Villain Protagonist, Spree Killer, violent narcissist and influencer. And he's fun at parties

  • Barred from: The House of Family and Relatives
  • Allies: Lionel Starkweather, Patrick Bateman, Ghostface (Jill Roberts and Charlie Walker), Jack (The House That Jack Built), Cioccolata
  • On good terms with: Wild Hunt (mainly Syura)
  • Rivals: Travis Bickle, Bill Williamson (Rampage)
  • Enemies: Pretty much any internet personality and content creator (eg: I Hate Everything, Jontron and the Nostalgia Critic), Travis Bickle (as Everyone Has Standards), Sidney Prescott, Laurie Strode, Marion Crane, Kayla Day, Light Yagami, J.Jonah Jameson, Kent Brockman, James Earl Cash, Eric Packer, Dominic Toretto, the West Coast Cabbies, much of the House of Law and Justice
  • Respects: Cletus Kasady/Carnage, Victor Zsasz (ignored by both)
  • Kurt Kunkle is a driver who works for a rideshare app called "Spree". Envious over Bobby BaseCamp Kurt desired to become a viral internet star and started a new livestream called "The Lesson", though using less than moral means..starting poisoning passengers with bottles of water. Kurt demanded that Bobby share Kurt's stream, but when that doesn't work, Kurt would just kill Bobby and live stream for the latter's fans. Though soon enough, Kurt would gain a reputation as "The Rideshare Killer" but nobody identified him yet. Jessie's comedy show, would have her performing a bit about her encounter with Kurt and give out a not-so-subtle speech about how desperate people are to be internet famous, being willing to stop at nothing for a chance in the spotlight. He's a Spree Killer who tries to get attention through increasingly gruesome murders and would even try to rape and kill her to get views. He even killed his father, and was revealed to have started his massacre with his mother. His reign of terror would be finished by Jesse using his own car to run him over in an act of self-defense, however posthumously his story still got attention and was a source of interest, his vlogs becoming in-universe snuff films.
  • While somewhat relatable due to being something of an outcast, even online, Kurt is shown repeatedly being pathetic, which contributes to him being an outcast in the first place. As such, he is one of the rare cases of a Villain Protagonist you're meant to hate, though some of his victims like a bigoted politician and a rude wannabe alpha-male will be missed by few. Of course he was worse, being a narcissistic Spree Killer who committed all his horrid actions for attention. And attention he got as the GUAE noticed his infamous tale as a dark satire of the influencer culture, making him a valid pick for the Bad Influencer. While the GUAG has tried circumventing his attempt to start up his new live stream by removing his driver's license and access to the internet permanently, Lionel Starkweather used his dark web connections to make a valid fake ID and restore his internet access. The condition is that he needs to show more "life hacksnote " and "le epic pranksnote .
  • A figure of infamy in the House of Travel, wracking up a kill count of eleven people. His notoriety has led to him getting the umbridge of many drivers, who consider his actions reprehensible and are upset that the police took as long as they did to go after him. Now that he's alive again in the pantheon the House of Law and Justice has been calling for his arrest. The Rideshare Killer is jealous of them for still having their license. For his high priest, he picked Punchline. This is something the Joker picked up pretty fast, noting Kurt was interested in him and his skill at getting infamy. However he dismisses him as being pathetic and wishes Punchline could've ascended instead, even if he's aware Bats' rogues gallery already gets plenty of love anyway.
  • Lionel's interest in his livestreams is because they have become in-universe examples of snuff. Cioccolata has collected them, and while Kurt thought he would be a rival he actually said he's a fan and prefers to keep his own morbid films to himself for private usage. Admittedly, he also thinks he needs to step up his game by he appreciates the "beginner's spirit". Kurt Kunkle is a figure of revulsion from practically every internet content creator, though on his end he sees them more as rivals for views, people he's jealous at for getting more attention or just people he dismisses for "not getting it". Asides from the previously mentioned bans he is not allowed to be involved in the House of Family and Relatives for making his mother as his first victim and father his last, the former particularly vile since they by all rights had a good relationship and he just offed her in the way of getting 50k likes. Which he did, but he died. He thinks what he actually did wrong was not living long enough to do some milestone video to cap it off....Kurt's kind of a dick.
  • A violent Attention Whore who's "Lesson" is Fame Through Infamy following several failed attempts to become a viral sensation. He stands by it being a solid strategy seen as how many followers he got despite his criminal actions. Hellbent on getting people to pay attention to him; even early on his musing on the tragedy of 9/11 more spoke to trying to make it about him in "Draw My Life". He is trying to take out some popular internet personalities by tricking them into getting into his car and poisoning their drinks, and if that fails just trying to ram them. Deities like the Nostalgia Critic are reviewers who can figure out his tricks by just reading a synopsis of the film he's part of. The Critic has even mocked him by saying the real reason he wants him or other movie reviewers dead is them mocking him in a theoretical review of his movie would prod his monstrous ego rather than even the feeling they're competition.
  • Spree has been compared by critics and cast members alike to a digital-age equivalent of American Psycho, Nightcrawler and Taxi Driver. Notably, despite being a mentally unstable Vigilante Man Travis Bickle remains the least evil of the four. He might have a delusional hero complex but he's not the sociopath the other three are, even if he acknowledges some similarities to Kurt by being cab drivers with...issues. Morally opposed to him, he is still regarded as a rival by Kurt for his rideshare service, regardless of how he's driving with a permanently invalid licensed. Though of a higher social strata Patrick Bateman has come to like Kurt if only because he can see some of himself in him, and even then it's more "well, we can stand one another for a prolonged period" as psychopaths like them make poor friends. Kurt Kunkle and Louis Bloom have ended up becoming good friends over a mutual desire to bring attention to themselves in media, albeit different types, with the not totally unfounded belief violence makes the headlines. Of course they also want to prove to one another they're better at it, but they're pretty "chummy" about it.
  • Goal-wise Kurt Kunkle fits with some of the people behind the Ghostface persona. In Scream 4, taging and filming the Ghostface murders as part of a plot to achieve online Fame Through Infamy by posing as the sole survivors who stopped the killing spree. Jill Roberts also has something in common with Kurt, that being part of their scheme being committing Matricide. While William Afton is amicable to the general persona (though he does play favorites with Stu Macher), Kurt finds a kindred spirit in Jill Roberts and Charlie Walker. Even if he's not a slasher most think he would fit right in the Scream franchise. It's led to him gaining negative attention from Final Girls and survivors of slashers, which is something he's kind of happy about even if it reminds him of how he was finished off by one.
  • Eddie Low was curious about this serial killer, but Kurt corrected him by saying he's a Spree Killer; the difference is that he kills in a murder rampage with no breaks, rather than the cool-off periods a Serial Killer has. Eddie has a personal blog where he recounts many of his "activities" under the name of Eddielowfilthslayer.blogsnobs.org, a blog which doesn't get much traffic, which he's encouraged to fix. Kurt doesn't want to be outdone by the pervert's blog, which with how many psychopaths dwell in the House of Slaughter is something that could happen. While also a Spree Killer Bill Williamson doesn't want him to take the attention away from what he's doing, since even if delusional he feels he's got something more important and grandiose than just likes and increased viewers in his massacre.
  • Despite the damage he's caused and inflated opinion he has of himself Kurt Kunkle isn't actually all that competent. He's a Loser Protagonist, more so in the "laugh at him" than anything endearing, and it didn't take long for the police to catch on to him; if he wasn't killed in self-defense he wouldn't have remained a free man for long. In their news J Jonah Jameson and Kent Brockman emphasize the "loser" part of the Loser Protagonist, so like the writers' intention he will never be a figure to emulate. As a Hate Sink Villain Protagonist he shares more than a few similarities the bespectacled Serial Killer Jack, though he's more of "an art snob". They have different superficial reasons for why they do what they do, which are different enough neither feel their ego is all that challenged by one another. Something they've discussed is how they might try and kill the aforementioned news-related deities to get back at them "insulting them" and making them look pathetic among the villainous and crime community...so how they actually are. They're still a danger to people around them, mind you.
  • Utilizing Starkweather's ties to the Dark Web and other illegal websites Kurt Kunkle has managed to carve a niche giving some advice on things like being more conspicuous killing or cleaning up blood. He's gotten a following, but not as big as someone who's a regular to the House of Slaughter as he's seen by more experienced sadists as "amateurish". He is trying to learn from his mistakes and be a better Bad Influencer, as he wants to feel like he earned his spot in the pantheon. He has become quite interested in some other murderers, leading to a bunch of Red-Flag Recreation Material on his search history. He is particularly interested in Carnage and Mr Zsasz, which they are pretty uninterested in. This is because they believe in murder and slaughter for the sake of it and do not care for the fame given their nihilist outlooks. They regard Kurt Kunkle as a vapid Narcissist and at best an annoying fanboy.

Here's a treasury suggestion:

The Temsik Meteor

  • This item kicks off the plot of Ghost Trick. A fugitive ran into a park and took a little girl hostage so a detective wouldn't kill him, when a meteor suddenly landed. A fragment of it pierced through the fugitive's heart, killing him instantly... Sort of. The Temsik meteor grants superpowers, such as manipulating objects, to the ghosts of anyone who dies near it. The fugitive ended up in a Mortality Grey Area. The two playable characters were also empowered by the Temsik meteor.

Sorry if I go on a weird tangent, but am I the only one who thinks two narcissists that also happen to be completely devoid of morally good qualities would simply not get along with each other most of the time? If I had to be realistic about it, very few malignant narcissists would possess enough functional people skills to have some genuine (or at least solidly established) alliances, but two narcissistic sociopaths who lack said people skills are more likely to either butt heads or compete against each other, with worst case scenarios being that the two see each other as rivals or enemies.

I can tell that Kurt Kunkle is a narcissistic psychopath. Still, given how someone like Jill Roberts is more than willing to betray her own ally/"lover" to advance her own goals and has a similar personality to Kurt's, I believe an alliance between the two, if it did happen, would entirely be situational at best and I can even see the both plotting to kill the other if either one of them becomes too much of a burden to the other, or they believe they can spin some hoax-sensational storyline out of it for their own fame. I also need to note that Patrick Bateman and Jack are rivals instead of allies mainly because of how similar they are. That said, I'm not sure how well Kurt would get along with either Patrick or Jack, seeing as Patrick despises anyone who doesn't fit into the upper-class hierarchy like himself.

That out of the way, plus with the amount of time that's passed, it's assassin-suggestin' time (two reworks and a suggestion)...

  • DeadshotImprobable Aiming Skills
    • Floyd Lawton is considered to be one of the greatest assassins in the DC Universe, with his shot to fame in this regard being his uncanny ability to shoot targets with perfect accuracy, no matter how he positions his shot and how much of a disadvantage he is in. Give him a task and he will never miss his shots and he is noted to be so good that he is able to shoot out bullets that have already been fired. In the event that he does miss his shots, it's because of external/outside circumstances somehow intervening with said shots, but his reputation as a master assassin and marksman with seemingly superhuman aim makes him one of the deadliest mercenaries and normal humans to go up against in the DC Universe.
  • DeathstrokeSociopathic Soldier
    • Slade Wilson was a former Vietnam War veteran who would later go on to become an incredibly dangerous and feared mercenary, assassin, and supervillain by the name of Deathstroke, best known for his mastery in all forms of combat, weaponry, and using his mind to plan out several strategic tactics and psychological manipulations to grant himself an advantage and superiority towards his opponents. Deathstroke is also generally depicted as an unfettered sociopath; he has no qualms or hesitations with his actions which include extortion, betrayal, abuse, and murder, and will gladly manipulate and torment others. Made worse by the fact that he is a Super-Soldier and despite having a seemingly professional attitude and demeanour, some of his crimes are mainly to satiate his bloodlust.
  • Kazuki Kurusu, Rei Suwa, and Miri UnasakaKill the Parent, Raise the Child
    • Kazuki and Rei are a pair of assassins who kill a human trafficker as one of their usual tasks, only to end up coming across an adorable little girl named Miri, who turns out to be the daughter of the trafficker they assassinated. Forced into a humorously precarious situation, Kazuki and Rei decide to look after Miri, with the two eventually becoming adopted fathers who love her dearly whilst still balancing caretaking with their roles as assassins. To sum it up, this trope forms the basis of the series as a whole.

Notes

  • I am aware that Improbable Aiming Skills is currently held by Vash the Stampede and while he is a good example of the trope, I would make an argument that Deadshot fits the trope slightly better as it's his main defining trait and is more known for that than his current trope, Super Wrist-Gadget. With that in mind, I propose to give Vash Desert Punk as the setting of Trigun, in which Vash is the protagonist of, takes place in a desert setting with high amounts of sci-fi elements showcased through, and Vash having a Western-styled appearance and personality helps to compliment the setting as well as his characterization.
  • While Dark Age of Supernames is a decent trope for Deathstroke, I don't think he's a defining example and with the trope mainly being focused on superheroes instead of supervillains, I think it's best to give it to a '90s Anti-Hero. I also feel that Sociopathic Soldier pretty much defines most of Deathstroke's characterization as well as complimenting his mercenary/assassin/military background.

@Crimson [tup] but I will wait for the consensus between Vash, Deadshot and Max

Speaking of proposals: I'll be quick on this one, 1 new idea and 2 reworks:

  • The Ravens from Armored Core for Mecha Game and Armored Coffins. Armored Core is a series of videogames since 1997 which focuses on the eponymous Armored Cores, mechas that are more weapons than mecha. With 20 official releases over the span of 2 decades, the settings of each installment remains consistent: a world that is in the brink of war and mercenaries from various corners fight for the last few resources of the world, be it money, weapons, to even power. Ravens in the settings are the player characters (and a few other NP Cs), who are unknown mercenaries that fight for no one other than themselves and are both heavily sought after and feared by the corporations, who often hire them to do the dirty work. One key detail that remains (almost) consistent with these mechas is that Armored Cores do not have an ejection seat, meaning every Raven risks getting killed with no way out.
  • Hustler One/Nine-Ball for That One Boss. The original top ranking Raven in the original Armored Core, Nine-Ball is considered the strongest raven in the setting and many aspiring ravens have dared to challenge the elusive top-ranker, In reality, the top ranker of the Arena is a super-advanced AI that has manipulated majority of the conflicts of the setting, be it the Arena, the waging war against the corporations, all to assume its own vision of peace. In the games, Nine-Ball exhibits extremely fast reflexes beyond what the player can do in comparison to all the ACs fought in the game. Due to notorious reputation of the boss, the character has appeared in more than 1 game, appearing in 7 as bosses with a few cameos.
  • The Nameless King for Un-person. As the title suggests, the Nameless King was a king of an unknown kingdom that was found maintaining the lands of Archdragon Peak, with no traces of his name whatsoever. His looks, powers and even a few traces found from Anor Londo suggests that the Nameless King was in fact, Gwyn's firstborn son, since hinted from the first Dark Souls. Lore from the third game has hinted that the reason for Gwyn removing any traces of his son was due to him siding with the dragons.

I swear Loid, you can't draw worth shit!

I propose leaving Max alone and giving Vash Reckless Pacifist. He prefers to leave everyone alive, which his Improbable Aiming Skills help with, but he can be very destructive in the process. (IDK, I haven't watched Trigun in decades so I'm just copying what the trope entry says.)

And learn to check whether tropes are taken or not before trying to give them to someone. It's like some of you just don't care, or care less and less as time passes.

I suggest giving Vash getting Thou Shall Not Kill. I did check to see if it wasn't taken.

Done with this orb.

The Loc-Nar, Unholy Artifact of Death (The Sum of All Evils, Green Meteorite, Green Ball)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rszlocnar.png
  • Greater Deity
  • Symbol: Itself
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Artifact of Doom, Sickly Green Glow, Made of Evil, Green Rocks, Make Them Rot, Your Size May Vary
  • Domains: Corruption, Death
  • Allies: Ridley, Sutter Cane
  • Rivals: The Sleeper, The Colour out of Space, Phazon, The Dark Matter Horde
  • Enemies: Many superheroes, especially those from DC Comics and Marvel Comics
  • Sought out by: Arthas Menethil, Aku, The Joker
  • Across space, time, and dimensions, evil has existed in many forms and while the Loc-Nar might not look like much at a quick glance, the actions committed by this green orb more than justify its claim to be “the sum of all evils”. Many corrupt people have sought it for different reasons, but those who come into direct contact with it are prone to having their bodies melted off. If they aren’t already killed by it, the Loc-Nar will bring out their more violent side and potentially turn them into hideous mutated freaks that’ll unleash more death and destruction on whatever lands they’re on. Only the pure of heart are able to resist the Loc-Nar’s influence, including a race of protectors known as the Taarakians who are able to directly fight off and potentially destroy the Loc-Nar.
  • A green comet appeared in the Pantheon one night and crashed into a remote area shortly after it was spotted. When a team of researchers was sent to locate it and examine what happened, they discovered a giant green orb in the crash site only for the orb to act up and have the researchers fall prey to its influence. A few days later, a vicious small settlement had appeared and news reports were spreading around that people had been kidnapped to that village and were either being tortured or killed. When it was discovered that the comet/orb was actually the Loc-Nar, a being of pure evil and had a role in the missing researchers, the small town, and the missing/dead people, a group of heroes decided to save the people, put an end to the tyranny that settlement had, and stop that orb. While they were able to succeed in putting an end to the misery brought on by that town and rescued the survivors there, the team sent to the Loc-Nar’s crash site found nothing except a giant crater that it left behind. It’s hard to say where the Loc-Nar is since it arrived in the Pantheon, but given just how prevalent the evils of mankind are in that world, the Loc-Nar is more than willing to take advantage of what it's offered.
  • The Loc-Nar has sometimes been described as an unusual meteor thanks to it coming from the sky and leaving a big impact wherever it lands. It having the power to corrupt others and bring devastation as a result has brought about comparisons to other eldritch meteors with corruptive powers such as The Colour out of Space and The Sleeper. The key difference between The Loc-Nar and the other two meteors is that it is more openly evil though it is easy to assume through sane eyes that the other two are just as bad in terms of actions. While the powers of The Sleeper and The Colour out of Space can’t be denied, The Loc-Nar knew that it can’t influence those that have already fallen under a different corruption and has engaged in a rivalry with those two to try and become a more prominent force of eldritch evil.
  • As dangerous as The Loc-Nar is, there’s plenty of similar forces that can corrupt individuals and bring about large-scale damage wherever they go that The Loc-Nar has perceived as additional rivals. Phazon is a strange substance hailing from the planet Phaaze that corrupts anything it touches and uses it to create more Phazon-infested planets to perpetuate the cycle while the Dark Matter Horde is fittingly made of darkness and seeks to possess others to do its bidding. The Loc-Nar doesn’t have a truly consistent representative to carry out its will compared to Dark Samus for Phazon or the top members of The Dark Matter Horde, but that hasn’t stopped it from finding other potential villains willing to follow its ambitions. Despite the fact that things ultimately boiled down to a race to see who can cause more widespread corruption across different worlds, The Loc-Nar does have some respect for The Dark Matter Horde’s probable motivation for assimilating others through darkness to try and eliminate any form of positive emotion (the Horde’s main weakness) and saw it as a means to perpetuate the pervasiveness of evil.
  • The Loc-Nar’s powers and demeanor is Lovecraftian in nature to the point that some have attempted to commit heinous actions in its name such as sacrificing others to appease an eldritch being known as Uhluhtc and gain power from that orb. Said being is pretty much just Cthulhu spelled backwards, but that hasn’t stopped The Loc-Nar from having some involvement with Cthulhu itself or other eldritch beings and some truly devious people believing that associating themselves with these monsters will earn them favor from The Loc-Nar. As a being who has told plenty of stories about its influence, it has drawn the attention of a select few who have chronicled eldritch monsters and saw The Loc-Nar was something that fit the bill of being an unknowable nightmare in its own way. Sutter Cane has written about many eldritch beings and given how much influence he has over the world whenever he’s writing, The Loc-Nar has turned to him in a bid to try and make its influence more pronounced. Cane’s stories are darker in nature, but he admitted that the variety of tales The Loc-Nar has told has given him a chance to branch out in ways that would surprise those who read his books.
  • With how long the battle between good and evil has gone on in the Pantheon, plenty of villainous figures have sought the power of The Loc-Nar after hearing of its power and what it has done throughout its lifetime. Some such as Ridley have had access to different kinds of transformations to give them an edge in battle and given how some such as Ridley only care about destruction, the orb is willing to go along with giving these villains access to another dangerous form to use. Others such as Aku believe that even if they are successful in pulling off their goals, it still isn’t enough to ensure total domination until their numerous enemies are defeated entirely. Since The Loc-Nar was something made entirely from evil and has been around for a long time, Aku figured that such an orb would be useful in ensuring that his existing domain not only expands, but is stronger than before.
  • Besides corrupting others, The Loc-Nar is able to disintegrate others that touch it or turn living beings into violent mutants or dead bodies into zombies. This has drawn those who have commanded the undead towards it under the belief that The Loc-Nar can amplify their abilities and make the legions of undead under their command stronger than before. Arthas Menethil, who was once a heroic prince turned ruthless lich and leader of The Scourge, was among those seeking The Loc-Nar to strengthen the spread of the undead plague carried out by their legion while more scientifically-minded people like Albert Wesker have done extensive research on The Loc-Nar’s capabilities and have sought to get some of whatever substance the orb is made of for themselves. As for those who have fought against these types of foes, fighting The Loc-Nar directly was something only the strongest of such can do while most others had to fend off against the forces that The Loc-Nar has gotten ahold of.
  • While the Taarakians served as The Loc-Nar’s primary adversaries back then, the Pantheon had a lot of heroic figures who not only could resist The Loc-Nar’s corruptive influence, but are strong enough to potentially destroy that orb with their powers. Many superheroes such as the Justice League (Superman in particular) and the Avengers would find themselves fighting against The Loc-Nar’s corrupted pawns while working their way to the orb itself in an attempt to destroy it. Like many of these teams’ strongest collective foes, The Loc-Nar is willing to break them through talking about its feats and attempting to corrupt them into being twisted mutated versions of themselves, but these superheroes aren’t giving up easily given what they had faced prior. That the heroes own individual arch-enemies have taken an interest in The Loc-Nar for their own reasons (whether it's The Joker wanting to use it for chaos or Lex Luthor having his subordinates doing research on it after his guess on it being a sentient piece of green Kryptonite was disproven) have added to their reasons of wanting The Loc-Nar to be destroyed.
  • The Loc-Nar is not just an ominous orb, but a sinister storyteller as well thanks to having told others stories of what it has done across time and space. Despite the variety in them, these kinds of stories only had appeal to those who enjoy gruesome tales and even then they don’t like the notion of these stories being used to break down someone into feeling hopeless against something terrifying. The Crypt Keeper had a selection of graphic stories and while he did find some potential in The Loc-Nar’s stories (and The Crypt Keeper isn’t above telling tales that he’s had a hand in making it happen occasionally), he ultimately felt that it was limited by The Loc-Nar focusing too much on highlighting its own actions. While The Loc-Nar has a lot of stories to tell about itself, it has preferred to tell them to heroes it wants to break or to villains that are looking for something deadly to achieve their goals.
  • With how varied the events are that The Loc-Nar has gone through and subsequently told others about, it has become a source of concern for many in the Pantheon given that it can suddenly show up as an unlikely obstacle that can’t be destroyed through ordinary means. One of its more nefarious actions was terrorizing a B-17 crew by turning the dead members inside to zombies and forcing the remaining survivor to bail and land on an island with more downed planes and zombies. It was something that frightened many fighter pilots, especially the 100th Bomber Group as they were a group specializing on using a B-17 and the last thing they needed amidst dealing with casualties during a seemingly unending war in the Pantheon was some deadly mystical object that they have no chance of fighting back against. On the ground level, there were some smug crooks who believed that something as fearsome as The Loc-Nar was their ticket to gaining more power, but given that the orb will either disintegrate anyone that touches it (like what happened to gangster Rudnick when he got his hands on it) or turn nearby victims into corrupted freaks, this hasn’t been a thing the more morally conscious and/or smart crooks are pursuing when it comes to finding additional methods to solve their problems.
