Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:
- When writing a profile, take note of the following:
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
- If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
- If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
- Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
- Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
- For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
- For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
- No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
- You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
- When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
- When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
- You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
- For new and reworked deities, 3
means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
- For new and reworked deities, 4
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 5
is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
- Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
- For new and reworked deities, 3
- For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 4
is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
- Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
- The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
- Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "
" or "
".
- Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
- Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
- Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
- On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
- You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
- When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
- Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
- Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
- To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
- Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
- When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
- All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
- The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
- A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
- If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
- For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
- For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website
is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site
to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
- Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
- Pantheon Content:
- Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
- As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
- Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
- For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
- Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
- For Profile Standards:
- Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
- Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
- Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
- On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
- Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
- Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
- Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
- Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
- Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
- Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
- Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
- Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
- Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
- Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
- Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
- Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud
or YouTube
.
- Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
- For Pokémon deities only:
- Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
- Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
- Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
- Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
- Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
- High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
- Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
- Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
- Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
- Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
- Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
- Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
- Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
- Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
- Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
- Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
- Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
- Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
- OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
- Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
- The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
- The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
- Domains: Things that the place has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
- Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
- Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
- Domains: Things that the item has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

First draft of Scott Calvin. Tbh, I expected my first draft of Gantu would be the more developed one, but what are you gonna do. For starters, has anyone else taken the role of Santa Claus?
Scott Calvin, God of Subbing for Santa (the current Santa Claus, Sleigh Boy, Uncle Scott, Santa Scott, Big Man)

- Hall: Xmas and Yule (House of Celebration)
- Intermediate God (Quasideity without magic/the transformation)
- Symbol: The titular Santa Clause card, with his signature
- Theme Song: The movie's theme song
- Alignment: Lawful Good
- Portfolio: Took Over The Role Of Santa Claus Like Many Before Him, Family Man, Deadpan Snarker, Becoming Less Of A Smart-Aleck Over Time But Still Has His Sarcastic Edge, Made To Physically Turn Into Santa, becoming a Big Fun Friend to All Children, Fear Of Falling Off Roofs
- Domains: Christmas, Toymaking, Magic, Inheriting Powers, Family
- Heralds: Carol Newman (his wife and Mrs Claus), Charlie, Buddy and Sandra Calvin (his kids)
- Superior: The OG Santa Claus and his wife, the OG Mrs Claus
- Allies: Nicholas St North (his Russian counterpart), Kris Kringle (possibly another counterpart of his), the Guardians of Childhood (his semi-official co-workers), The Heroic Protectors of Family, Chronos, Eros/Cupid, Jack Skellington, Death (Discworld), Simon Petrikov, the Toys from Toy Story, The Doctor, The Ghosts of Christmas
- On good terms with: Son Goku, Shoto Todoroki, Samwell Tarly, Squidward Tentacles
- Enemies: Robot Santa Claus, SCP-4666, Dr Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik (mainly his AoStH incarnation), The Child Abuse Supporters, Pitch, Winterbolt, "Big" Jack Horner, Lotso Hugging Bear, SCP-1048
- Fears: Darkseid (also an enemy)
- Complicated opinion on: Brian and Stewie Griffin
- Scott Calvin was an advertising executive for a toy company, but everything changed for him on Christmas Eve 1994. The family man would cause Santa Claus to trip and fall to his demise, with his body vanishing. Fortunately, the role of Santa Claus was an inherited title, and he would gradually transform into the new Santa. Though initially hesitant at first, he came to embrace the role of Santa, Christmas Elves and all. The first human to hold the role, he would face many trials during his time such as questionable temporary replacements, the time Jack Frost tried to undo him via time travel, having to fill certain clauses like having a wife, and even a past Santa trying to take back the reigns. But he always managed to bounce back and save Christmas when needed.
- Scott recently got to experience the Yule-verse, a realm where the Santas of history can be met. Further exploration led to a backdoor that led him to the Trope Pantheon, where he was met by an older, more experienced Santa. Naturally he asked him which Santa he was, only for him to say "A Santa? My boy, I am the Santa, the very idea of such, and I represent so much of the Christmas spirit. And I'm quite impressed by your handling of the role". The way Scott Calvin got it, in the Trope Pantheon he acts as a sort of superior to him, along with Mrs Claus. While most in his universe know him as Santa, Scott Calvin tends to use his actual name to prevent confusion. While Nicholas St North represents ass-kicking Santas, he represents people who took the role of Santa. Sometimes they are called the Russian Santa and the American Santa respectively to denote differences. Kris Kringle will sometimes be labeled the possible Santa.
- Scott Calvin was introduced to how the Trope Pantheon worked by the Guardians of Childhood, as the group was seen as rather familiar to him. This is because in his universe, there's also a group of holiday and generally mythic figures; the Council of Legendary Figures. They even have their own Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and Jack Frost. Unofficially, he seems them as co-workers of sorts. Him and Jack Frost had a bit of an icy first impression; in Scott's universe, Jack Frost tried to steal his position because he felt overshadowed and marginalized, however his heart did warm up and he saw the error of his ways. There was a bit of a chuckle at seeing how different interpretations of the same mythical figure could be. The Father Time he was familiar with apparently showed up, only to shock him by taking off the disguise and say he was actually the primordial god Chronos all along...admittedly this might've been an attempt at a prank, and a more lighthearted one. However he gave him a warning; beware of Pitch. The fear-bringer doesn't underestimate him just because he's not as powerful as other Santas, though as far as Scott is considered he would rather Pitch just get over himself already.
- Scott Calvin is the official holder of the Subbing for Santa trope in the Trope Pantheon, though he is hardly the only resident to have taken the job for Santa or some other mythical role. To his surprise, Death took the role of Sant-Hogfather for Hogswatchnight, and he did a good job at it. Despite his cosmic role as Death, his warm and compassionate personality is welcoming for Scott. Jack Skellington tried taking the role once, though he had a poor understanding of the job and wised up. The friendly spirit of Halloween has a cordial relationship with him, all things considered. Because of how the role is inherited he was curious if the regeneration of Time Lords was comparable, though the Doctor has said that's not really how it works, as it's more a "rebirth/reincarnation" kind of deal. Some incarnations of the Doctor don't believe in Santa while others are reported friends, like the 11th who asked him if any of his predecessors are named Jeff. There are some who more so tried to steal the role like one incarnation of Dr Robotnik/Eggman, and Winterbolt's attempts to take control of the North Pole, that Scott's naturally no fan of. Of course when in comes to Eggman, stealing Christmas is one of his less serious crimes.
- The former advertising executive of a toy factory, he has a keen interest in the toys from Toy Story due to their status as living toys. While the Trope Pantheon's mass crossover status means they don't have to hide they're alive from ascended humans, even if that wasn't the case Santa would've probably been an exception anyway. He's a little confused by the fact Buzz sounds like him and wonders if he might've licensed some lines for his toy's creators. He was rather upset to discover Lotso due to the depths of evil he would sink, and among other call outs the fact the toys he tormented have no connection to the owner. He was put on high-alert after learning the pink monster had sided with SCP-1048, the psychopathic teddy bear who makes monster teddy bears out of a variety of stuff.
- He was kind of surprised that he didn't get any push back for the whole "accidentally killing Santa" thing. Well OK, it turned out his predecessor intentionally let the thing happen so he could be the next Santa, but he didn't learn about that almost thirty years in. The only person who really laid into him was Robot Santa Claus. The maniacal mechanical Santa lacks whatever Villain Respect he shows for Nicholas or "Santa Prime", labelling him as a usurper. Scott Calvin considers this a) hypocritical since Robot Santa Claus was a robot made to fill the Santa role and b) his sense of who's naughty and who's nice is completely unfair, worse than even Toy Santa. Robot Santa is no pushover though and though they may hate each other, the robot will tolerate his help against Darkseid (who Scott is terrified of but both know he's absolutely deserving of brutal punishment) and SCP-4666 (who sickens Robot Santa Claus). Neither are particularly worried about Scott, though. Also, it should be noted that while Scott hates Robot Santa Claus, he's also upset he's too trigger-happy to listen to reason, which worked on Mad Santa Magnus Antas, and is aware that his evil is down to a programming error; he just wished he'd allow it to be fixed and actually be a good Santa.
- Bender tried taking the role of Santa Claus in one of the only heroic examples of Usurping Santa. Well, heroic in air quotes since this is Bender we're talking about. And Robot Santa has sworn to kill him if he tries it again. In fairness, he actually gave it an honest shot and he certainly did a better job than Brian and Stewie. That being said, the two ended up saving Christmas; the Sisyphian task of keeping up with the modern population had turned the North Pole hellish and only by convincing people to lighten the burden with one gift each Christmas did they save him and the elves. While Scott approves of what they did there, they're generally morally questionable and have done some bad things so he's not sure if he should let them on his nice list. On a lighter note, Squidward ended up bringing Christmas to Bikini Bottom after feeling guilty mocking Spongebob for it not coming so while he might be kind of a jerk he has his name on Scott's nice list.
- As Santa Claus he has to follow certain rules and his magic can dwindle. If some sort of Anti-Magic hits him he'll become a normal 65 year old man. In his old age he's hoping to find a successor even if he loves the job, initially trying to push his son for the job only to realize it's not what his kid wanted, something Magnus Antus correctly pointed out. At the end of the day he's a Family Man more than a Santa and sees his presence in the Trope Pantheon as hopefully his last big job. As a loving father and husband he considers Abusive Parents to be one of the naughtiest types of people and he's disgusted with the very existence of the Child Abuse Supporters, and on the flip side a firm supporter of the Heroic Protectors of Family. He wasn't ever remotely as bad as their dads, but he does feel sympathy towards Shoto Todoroki and Samwell Tarly for how their fathers tried to force them into a certain role.
- Not a fan of trying to make it Christmas Every Day. This was one of his failed successor Simon's attempts to improve on the holiday, however it only further diminished the spirit of Christmas. Scott doesn't have anything against Timmy Turner, but he does point to him as another example of why that trope is overrated. Timmy of course knows he screwed up since it led to "no wishing for Christmas every day" to become one of Da Rules, so he knows not to interfere.
- Becoming Santa Claus was somewhat of a rough transition for him, as he was forced into the role and initially objected before finding value in it. The magic made him fill out his figure, go white early and get a beard, with the whole thing nearly destroying his family life and landing him in prison. While he has come to peace with his new job the initial unpleasantness has made him sympathetic to the situation that Simon Petrikov found himself in. Of course, being the Ice King was a lot worse than becoming Santa, as he became a maddened dementia-esque ice wizard who happened to have a similar "bearded ice guy" look to Santa. Fortunately Simon would eventually be free of the Ice Crown. The antiquarian is pretty friendly and while he's had difficulty adjusting into the Land of Ooo now that his sanity's restored, he is still interested in magic to a degree. The equivalent of Christmas in Ooo was invented around the Ice King in order to give him sympathy after his past was revealed, and apparently the first Santa of his world used the Ice Crown.
How would he react upon encountering the Santa Servants from Fate/Grand Order? They include: Altria Pendragon (Alter), Jeanne D'Arc (Alter) Santa Lily, Attila the Santa, Quetzalcoatl (Samba/Santa), Florence Nightingale, Karna, St. Martha, and Captain Nemo.
The Master of Chaldea would also be a close ally of his as well, since "saving the world" for them includes saving Christmas, or at least ensuring smooth Christmas celebrations, among other things.

"We are gonna sit here and take it! You hear me!? We're gonna take it!"![]()
Bruce Nolan temporarily took God's position for a day, complete with omnipotent powers. Stella is Charon's successor in being an afterlife ferry(wo)man.
The Hex Girls have joined the Mystery Gang in the Pantheon and set up a concert to celebrate!
Meanwhile, Chaos of Aladdin's world has decided to pay the Pantheon a permanent visit to liven it up. (With an entry for Sheogorath to be added to his profile later)
Now I just have two more profiles to take care of and I can rest easier. But as luck would have it, the one that I wanted to resume working on most, the rework for Jade from Beyond Good and Evil, has to be put on hold until at least July 25 cause her game got an Updated Re-release for it's 20th Anniversary back in June 25. Moreover, said rerelease adds in a "treasure hunt sidequest" that basically reveals details for Beyond Good & Evil 2, which suggests to me that it's seriously get worked on. So now I'm wondering if I have to put Jade on hold until 2 months after that comes out or, since it's been in Development Hell for so long, try and finish the rework before a release date gets confirmed?
You can do Jade. While that easter egg was added in, there are many who are still wary of what is Ubisoft's plan with the sequel since there are rumors (and if there is any indication between development from Skull and Bones) that the game might either be silently cancelled, restarted development and/or other excuses they can come up with. You can make do with just the first game.
Influential Figures has hit the too long warning. I have an idea to make a "Historical Figures" Hall to put the historical figure/real life history tropes in.
Potential deities for the Hall:
- Richard Nixon (Monument Mythos) (Historical Domain Superperson)
- Grigori Rasputin (Beethoven Was an Alien Spy)
- Cleopatra VII (Historical Beauty Update)
- James Dean (Monument Mythos) (Richard Nixon, the Used Car Salesman)
- King Richard III (Historical Villain Upgrade)
- Tutankhamun (Dated History)
- Ulysses S. Grant (Historical Downgrade)

I don't think I remembered that Cleopatra was in the Pantheon. Someone may want to add some stuff relating to Cleopatra in Space or Cleopatra in Space. I can't do it because I have not seen either. I just know they exist. But I also
@Excessive-Menace Great idea!
@Hamana True. I've seen speculation in the BG&E subreddit that the treasure hunt is so the prequel characters don't go to waste, or something along those lines lol I'll see what others have to say about the situation, but with your reasoning I'll simply hold off on Jade until the 25th (by which point I'll try to beat the rerelease).
In the meantime, I shall resume the other profile that I've left vacant for too long: The Flay Cave. Or as I'm going to start naming it now, Vayne Aurelius and the Flay Cave, Divine Group of News Traveling Fast, since Vayne is the central character to the game and the group. Here's the link to the original proposal
, though I can write up a reproposal if that's necessary.
Here's my sandbox for the Historical Figures Hall. I think it's ready to go so I'm accepting
s now.
Priscilla is done. I am open for additional suggestions but if none, I can accept approvals.
Crossbreed Priscilla, Goddess of Halfbreed Dragons

- Lesser Goddess
- Symbol: Her Lifehunt Scythe, her White Tail, or her Doll
- Leitmotif: Crossbreed Priscilla
- Alignment: True Neutral
- Portfolio: A harmless maiden of the Painted World of Ariamis who is a half-dragon hybrid, wields a large scythe imbued with Lifehunt, resembles a cute, tall appearance, was supposedly an important character to the Chosen Undead, speaks in old butchered English
- Domain: Dragons, Snow, Peace (Presumably), Paintings, Lifehunt
- Heralds: Fellow Hollows residing in the Painted World of Ariamis, Corvian Followers and Storytellers in the Painted World of Ariandel (not the knights)
- Mixed Reception with: The Hall of Draconic Beings particularly Daenerys Targaryen and the rest of House Targaryen, Bahamut, Io
- Additional Relationships: The Chosen Undead, the Ashen One, The Nameless King, Father Ariandel
- Feared by: Lord Gwyn
- Fears: The Wolf
- Pitied by: Ib, Garry, and Mary, Ramo, Lola and Quill, Jake Long, Corrin
- Enemies: Tiamat
- Evil Counterpart to: Sister Friede
- In one of the Chosen Undead's journey within Anor Londo came a large painting in one of its' hallways. Guarded by Guardians clad in white, the Chosen Undead was able to slay them all and, depending if he had a certain doll, was able to enter the painting itself, revealing it to be a Painted World. Due to the slow rot of the exterior of said painting, the Painted World has become an extremely dangerous place, filled with hollows, beasts and undead dragons, alongside environmental hazards that would result in many untimely deaths. Upon reaching the near end of the world, one last barrier remains between the Chosen Undead and a return back to Anor Londo, the half-breed and maiden of the Painted World, Priscilla. Her words to the Chosen Undead are simple, leave the world and her alone, of which two results would occur: said Undead would honor her words and leave the Painted World, never to come back, or fight her. In the end, the Chosen Undead returned, with no clear answer to Priscilla's fate.
- The Trope Pantheons houses many portals to various worlds, but one very uncommon form of such would come in the form of Paintings. In such case, reports of missing visitors who were attending Lord Gwyn's temple were slowly rampant and as such, lead to an investigation to willing Pantheon detectives. Most would give up until one of said detectives disappeared upon the touching of a painting, of which the others followed suit. The team was considered lost but the recordings have shown the mysterious painting, a possible lead to the missing visitors. Eventually, it lead to a Chosen Undead to volunteer to enter the Painted World and report back, of which lead to the discovery of Crossbreed Priscilla, found to have hosted the missing visitors and the missing investigation team after being lost. When the Chosen Undead reported back, the Pantheon was able to rescue the missing survivors and grant Priscilla a position in the plane, not knowing the reason for her existence in a lonely Painted World.
- Lordran is no stranger to legends, more so towards Gwyn's very own family and lineage. In the Age of Fire, many gods were born but some were not as lucky as others. Such is the case of Priscilla's origins, born of Seath the Scaleless' dragon lineage, with an unknown mother, rumored to that be of human origin or perhaps that of a powerful witch. This, coupled with Seath's tendency to experiment with life (or perhaps influence from the unknown mother), resulted in the crossbreed being born, but shunned for her unholy existence. Her possession of a power that was known to slay the gods in the form of Lifehunt became the primary reason for her banishment, but her presence did benefit the royal family: by becoming Gwyn's wife to his last son, in the form of Gwyndolin, Dark Sun and leader of the Blades of the Darkmoon. What happened next resulted to her permanent residence in the Painted World and her meeting with a Chosen Undead sealed her fate, although not entirely as what would come next.
- As years went by and the Painted World would change. Many forlorn visitors would take shelter in the world, mostly of bird-like origin, known as crow demons. These beings, who saw Priscilla as a guardian for them and for the world welcomed her and would help but one stood out in particular. Known in Lordran as Velka, the "Goddess of Sin", the crow's presence would become the source of the Painted World's bird-like population. As ages went by, so did the Painted World, with most of the inhabitants then consisting of various forlorn warriors and creatures, among which include Corvians. The Painted World and its' knowledge was deemed as heresy by outsiders and at the end, very few would learn of such worlds, Priscilla's very own history included. However, she did leave several legacies of her own, one of which includes her own daughter, Company Captain Yorshka, who was imprisoned by Pontiff Sulyvahn in his ousting of Irithyll during his rule. The Painted World also saw a resurgence as the Painted World of Ariandel, however her guidance was long gone and its' rule was controlled by an Unkindled, Sister Friede.
- While most of the ascended ones have outside temples that reside beyond their homeworlds, Priscilla seems to be an exception. Due to the nature of the Painted World, she cannot leave her place and acts as the guardian for the domain. Many others have felt the same cold home-like feeling the Painted World exudes, which may explain why she is very protective of it. In addition to this, she is not afraid to resort to violence as she has dealt with various undead who have entered the Painted World just to kill her, of which many have pointed out that many Chosen Undead have attempted to kill her out of cutting off her tail and for some of the extreme ones, killing her for her soul. With this in mind, the Painted World remains untouched and most Pantheon officials have warned of others about entering said world as a risk.
- Following her predicament at the hands of the Chosen Undead, she holds no ill will towards him as there are hints that she did survive, as told by the Painted World of Ariandel's Corvian Storytellers, who have described tales of a white figure who guided their presence, even designing their scythes akin to hers. It would seem that even under changed leadership, many of the old inhabitants still recognize Priscilla's authority, even if she does not wield, nor does she practice it. Similar to the Age of Fire, the Painted Worlds themselves are also prone to being reborn anew, at the cost of burning down the old painting, with Father Ariandel being the restorer of the Painted World. It too would have been replaced by one of Priscilla's rumored children, a painter who is the master of a forlorn slave knight, had Elfriede assumed control and convinced Ariandel to flagellate himself to let the Painted World rot. Yet the prophecy was told that should two Unkindled ash meet in the Painted World, a flame would spark, thus allowing the Painted World to be reborn, which was fulfilled by the arrival of an Ashen One.
- Most of the gods in Lordran fear her for the possession of an unholy power she wielded. Known to be as Lifehunt, this power had the ability to kill the Gods, which at the time was a horrible discovery that shook Gwyn's kingdom. Even in the Pantheon, many fear her for the same reasons with rumors describing that those hit with the wrath of Lifehunt are stripped of their godhood and their status. Gwyn is especially furious that the Pantheon gave her a position, even when he detailed the extent of the various possibilities that would occur should her powers be unleashed. That being said, some, or rather a singular deity has kept Priscilla in watch from afar. That silent watcher is Gwyn's Firstborn, the Nameless King, who abandoned the Gods in favor of the dragons in what would be his coronation as a War God in Gwyn's Pantheon. He has found great kindred in her, a first among Gwyn's bloodline and has vowed to protect a member of his bloodline who is also half-dragon. This movement has only enraged the Lord of Cinder even further, intensifying both his hunts against the Firstborn and security protecting the Painted World's exterior.
- The fate of the Painted World was pondered as the Age of Fire unfolded and many kingdoms rose and fell, leaving many to consider the study of such as heresy. This all turned on its head once a fragment of a Painted World came, in the form of Slave Knight Gael, finding Unkindled to bring them into the world. This Painted World, known as the Painted World of Ariandel, is different from the original Ariamis world, but was built from the same root. This makes the comparison between Elfriede and Priscilla more interesting as the latter has welcomed any forlorn souls into her world while the former was heavily restrictive of the Painted World she heralded. Their followers also share the same mindset; Priscilla's followers (or at least those who worship her) only want a home and will attack either as self-defense or when hollowed while Friede's Corvian Knights are brutal and will gladly slaughter their own kind in service of their lady, removing the plague of the world, in this case: fire.
- Dragons are a sight to behold in the Trope Pantheons, all come in various shapes and sizes, at the same time, certain issues have propped up regarding these fabled beasts of legend. Known to be as the Dragon's Dilemma, certain fates have arisen regarding the beasts, among which includes the prospects of half-blood dragons. Most dragons are of pureblood, which has led the recent rise of half-bloods all the more unsettling. The first to notice was Jake Long, who is a dragon shapeshifter, with a human father and a mother with a dragon heritage. He understands her plight but is profoundly confused at her bloodline, which is a given as she is connected to Gwyn's bloodline. The other to notice her half-dragon ancestry was Corrin, who somewhat understands royalty lineages more and seems to bond more with Priscilla. Despite her connections, neither of the two have succeeded in convincing her out of the Painted World, as she intends to be left alone, even with company.
- The other dragons are heavily divided with her existence, with most remaining neutral on her as she poses no harm so long as she remains in the Painted World, though there are detractors who consider her an abomination to be purged. The latter side have also learned from Gwyn that she possesses a power that can kill the gods, which have only cemented their position even further. Bahamut and Io have told her that so long as the two exists, no dragon is willing to hurt her, even with divided origins. Tiamat has shown otherwise, as she is the spearhead for the position to kill her and other dragon hybrids. As for her response, she maintains that she means no harm and that she only cares about those who stay in the Painted World.
- The survival of dragonkind and its' immortality has become challenged as the dilemma grew, with the prospect that their immortality could be erased. Many forms of weapons and abilities had the chance of erasing the once powerful bulwark of their scales, leaving them exposed. Priscilla is no exception to this as her imprisonment was because she was in possession of one that can potentially harm the dragons. Despite this, she too fears for her own life when rumors were spread that a Mortal Blade was within the Pantheon's reach, alongside its' very own wielder, the Wolf, ascended. Legends have shown that the Wolf also had some form of dragon ancestry but in his need to sever it, he used the Mortal Blade to kill the Divine Dragon to save his heir. She has seen the Wolf to be a danger to her and has also barred him from her presence, especially if he may require another ability similar to that of the Mortal Blade, her Lifehunt being the closest to it.
- The dilemma also reached to the prospect of humans domesticating dragonkind, as shown with dragonriders such as Hiccup and Toothless. House Targaryen, a family of royalty with domesticated dragons have also heard of Priscilla, all due to connections with Lord Gwyn. That said, the House is known for its' legacy of lords all turning to madness and while wary, their successor, Daenerys has rest assured that she will not hunt for her. Unfortunately, the rest of the Targaryen lords does not approve of her decision and has ruthlessly stormed Anor Londo numerous times to reach the Painted World of Ariamis, all with failed results. Her possession of Lifehunt is what brought the hunts, which if acquired, could change the tides not just in Westeros, but throughout the Pantheon. Disgusted with this, Priscilla immediately abandoned Daenerys' proclamation and has considered House Targaryen to be persona non grata to the Painted World.
- The idea of worlds inside paintings is a rare concept but the Painted Worlds are not the only one of its own kind. Beyond Anor Londo and Lordran lies several worlds of similar style, one comes from an incomplete painting abandoned by its' painter and another being a Fabricated World. Those who walk from the Fabricated World sees the Painted World of Ariamis and Ariandel to be no better than theirs, with the only difference that unlike Friede, Priscilla will not harm them, unless they attack her back, of which she will kill out of self-defense. Those who walk from the incomplete painting sees horror with how the Painted World has rotted due to lack of maintenence, though they realize that such paintings do eventually get reborn, by burning the original one. That being said, both groups, Ib, Garry, Mary and Ramo, Lola and Quill take pity at Priscilla's fate as while the Painted World could be considered her home, it is also her prison.
- "Thou must returneth whence thou came. This land is peaceful, its inhabitants kind, but thou dost not belong. I beg of thee, plunge down from the plank, and hurry home."
I was meaning to post a suggestion regarding the Dovahkiin, Paarthurnax, and Alduin, but if I had to speculate, Priscilla would be wary of the former and latter while maybe having a conflicting view about the middle.
I would also suggest her being enemies with Fatalis as its a genuinely malevolent dragon with a misanthropic view towards life and would not hesitate to kill Priscilla if it could. Additionally, maybe something with Marth, Lucina, Robin as all three of them are close allies with Tiki, a benevolent ancient dragon who usually takes the guise of a young girl to communicate with mortals.
Other than that, here's a

I don't care for Dark Souls, hence I cannot vote on this. I do wonder though whether Duncan Rosenblatt is a herald and if you consulted the mythology portion of the trope
on those that are Dragon Ancestry from mythos.

@Hamana-
And now for my "rough draft" for Vayne and the Flay Cave. Quotations because I've effectively restarted this profile; aside from the intro, ascension and "temple" text, all entries had been removed. Might be wasteful, but I think it will be much better for me to determine interactions and such by tackling the group and then each character one at a time, based solely on your guys' input. Makes it easier to organize things, and I'm sure it helps y'all with suggesting interactions when doing the group/each character one at a time. So, for Vayne and the Flay Cave as a whole, here are some key details for deciding on interactions:
- They are alchemists. Every single member of this group practices alchemy in one way or another, and thus would interact with other alchemist gods (or gods related to alchemy).
- Vayne and the Flay Cave are also students to a prestigious alchemy school. Well, okay, their ascension takes place after graduation lol But all the same, Al-Revis Academy's assignments, festivals, and summer breaks comprise a large part of Mana Khemia, each with their own fantastical twists. And this group is sure to relate with deities whose school assignments involved dealing with the supernatural, among other things.
- On that note, Vayne and the Cave got along fairly well with their teachers (Except Flay), but there was one teacher who literally had it out for them in the form of Isolde Schelling. No joke, Isolde had directly guided the group into certain doom and succeeded in killing one of the party members to provoke Vayne's power. So naturally, Vayne and the group are not fans of immoral teachers.
That's all I got for now. I guess only other things I can ask is whether the name change is an improvement, and how the image is. If the image doesn't work out, I can try a different one that I found. Or perhaps I can reach out to one of you to make a collage for me? ^^; In any case, here is the draft.

- Vayne Aurelius was just a 16-year-old boy with a Mysterious Past living in an abandoned house in the mountains, raised by his faithful companion Sulpher, when he was found one day by a professor of Al-Revis Academy, who invited Vayne to join the school of alchemy. Despite lacking social skills, Vayne quickly made his first human friend in Jess and both would be recruited by the Sophmore Flay for his workshop, dubbed "The Flay Cave", wherein they'd meet fellow Freshman Nikki. Over the next three years in Al-Revis, the Flay Cave would gain more members whom Vayne would bond with; all the while they as a group would explore vast dungeons for materials to perform alchemy and complete class assignments. And along the way, Vayne learned more about his past and exactly who he is.
- The Flay Cave ascended to the Pantheon almost right after graduating from Al-Revis; the group just left the school grounds when a portal manifested in front of them. The Flay Cave thought the portal to be the entrance to a new dungeon filled with monsters to fight and new materials for alchemy, but upon entering found themselves instead in the Court of the Gods. Apparently, rumors about the Flay Cave's adventures and hijinks had spread to the Pantheon and the Court immediately took interest in the group. Noting how quickly the students and faculty of Al-Revis heard news and rumors of the Flay Cave, and that the group gained bonuses from having chosen rumors spread about themselves, the Court of the Gods decided that the Flay Cave were the perfect representatives for News Travels Fast and waited for the students of alchemy to graduate from their academy before ascending them. Vayne and the rest were surprised to say the least on learning all this but, after a moment of processing this news, the Flay Cave became excited at becoming "Gods", though Vayne had his doubts on account of the events just before graduation. But ever the pushover, Vayne went along with his friend's acceptance of ascension into the Pantheon and only hopes that this newfound godhood doesn't prove to be a danger to himself and them. The news of their ascension traveled instantly throughout the Pantheon and a rumor about the Flay Cave already started spreading; the alchemists have yet to figure out what exact benefit this rumor grants them, but remark that it makes them feel divine.
- On being informed about how each deity in the Pantheon can have a custom-designed temple, the Flay Cave immediately knew that their temple was going to be designed after their namesake workshop from Al-Revis. The temple is a perfect replica of the workshop, though the temple version of the Flay Cave workshop was adjusted to be larger, more appropriate for post-graduate alchemists, and each member of the group added additional rooms and tweaks according to their preferences. For instance, Vayne's room resembles the house he and Sulpher resided in prior to arriving in Al-Revis; Pamela's room is completely decorated with things she finds cute, and Anna's is as neat and tidy as she likes it.
- Applies to group as a whole.
- Exclusive to Vayne.
- Exclusive to Jess.
- Exclusive to Nikki.
- Exclusive to Pamela.
- Exclusive to Flay.
- Exclusive to Roxis.
- Exclusive to Anna.
- Exclusive to Muppy.
Edward and Alphone Elric and the Alchemists of Arland are alchemists. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Akko Kagari, Diana Cavendish, Luz Noceda and Amity Blight go to magic schools. Byleth is a good, trustworthy teacher.
