Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:
- When writing a profile, take note of the following:
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
- If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
- If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
- Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
- Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
- For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
- For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
- No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
- You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
- When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
- When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
- You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
- For new and reworked deities, 3
means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
- For new and reworked deities, 4
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 5
is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
- Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
- For new and reworked deities, 3
- For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 4
is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
- Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
- The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
- Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "
" or "
".
- Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
- Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
- Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
- On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
- You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
- When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
- Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
- Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
- To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
- Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
- When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
- All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
- The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
- A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
- If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
- For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
- For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website
is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site
to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
- Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
- Pantheon Content:
- Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
- As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
- Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
- For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
- Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
- For Profile Standards:
- Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
- Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
- Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
- On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
- Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
- Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
- Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
- Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
- Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
- Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
- Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
- Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
- Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
- Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
- Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
- Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud
or YouTube
.
- Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
- For Pokémon deities only:
- Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
- Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
- Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
- Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
- Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
- High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
- Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
- Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
- Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
- Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
- Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
- Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
- Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
- Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
- Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
- Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
- Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
- Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
- OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
- Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
- The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
- The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
- Domains: Things that the place has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
- Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
- Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
- Domains: Things that the item has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Obvious Crossover Method and Art-Style Clash are not taken.
According to the Rules folder located at the top of this thread, you only have three chances to propose a character for a trope. Once they're spent you would need to wait a while before you could propose them again since continuing to press on would make you look too pushy and insistent on getting a character ascended immediately, which is frowned upon in this project. You have proposed more than three possible tropes for her, so if you don't get approved for any of them you would have to take a break from proposing potential tropes for her.
Since Pibby was canceled on June 27, you might give off the impression that you're overly eager to ascend her since she's no longer threatened by new info that could "disrupt" her profile. The Pantheon has a Hype Prevention Sandbox which says that characters from recently released works need to wait 1-2 months after release to avoid premature, overeager proposals as they tend to be rushed and cause more problems for this project and other contributors. As it has only been a few days since Pibby's cancellation I recommend holding off her proposal until later (say, waiting until late August at minimum would be safe) so you wouldn't give off the impression that you were ascending her out of hype because of recent news, and it would give you plenty of time to read the Rules and Instructions folders to get familiar with the project's code of conduct and check out if other tropes you're interested in are taken or not.

SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMY![]()
Queen Sectonia, and The Lich King are both extremely corrupt rulers who are skilled with swords, and even become undead at one point, though both started as noble rulers who were corrupted by cursed artifacts.

Right, it's been a while since I read the rules. My bad.
Beyond my initial post, I was more so trying to get a gauge on what tropes were and were not in use (I literally asked that and if there were means to check for that) and clarification rather than genuinely proposing so I could know what not to propose. This IS a discussion thread after all. I would assume asking those types of questions is the norm, no?
Though I can get why my posts would come off as what you're saying. So, my bad. Regardless, I will wait a while before bringing this up again. At least, the topic of tropes specifically. What would be the best amount of time to wait/hold off on that?
I will wait until August for Pibby.

- Pities: Wander (Shadow of the Colossus) (Fuu)
- Opposed by/Opposes:
- Conflicting Opinion:
- Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuzaki, and Fuu Hououji were average 14-year-old middle-schoolers from different schools who were all attending a field trip to Tokyo Tower. Their life changed when they were summoned to Cephiro to save the realm on behalf of Princess Emeraude. They were under the assumption that this adventure was like the video game stories of their time, where it was clear who was in the right and who was in the wrong. Unfortunately, just like real life, moralities aren't so clear-cut, and it turns out that they had basically been sent on an assassination mission, and "Big Bad" Zagato was getting in the way because he loved Emeraude and didn't want to see her die, Cephiro be damned. Ultimately, he lost his life trying to stop them, and even when the ugly truth was brought to light, they… carried out their mission to the end, and were sent back to Tokyo as if no time had passed at all, but the emotional burden from having to commit murder would remain.
- As for their second adventure, they were still suffering from the aftermath of the first one, and when Hikaru declared she wanted to make things right this time, they ended up being called back to Cephiro courtesy of their own desires, where things were certainly not alright. On top of the world falling apart at the seams due to the Pillar's death, there was also the matter of three invading nations previously kept out by the Pillar protecting Cephiro. Eventually, amidst tragedy and communication, peace was established, and the new Pillar, Hikaru, found a way to permanently save Cephiro: abolish the system, and spread its power to Cephiro's populace, to those who love their nation. And with that, they're able to return home…and find themselves with the ability to also go back and forth thanks to their willpower.
- Be it from the "manga" or "animé" timeline, this is the iteration of the Magic Knights who were invited to the Pantheon. Another obscure account claims that ascended after they managed to prevent the Cephiro invaders from taking over Earth. After seeing how much more cynical that timeline was, many including the Magic Knights agreed not to talk about this. Or of the "Sega Saturn" timeline, though that isn't nearly as traumatic.
- Originally, the trope they represented was Magic Knight given that was what they were called and what they were. But a transfer was called for in light of a review of their repertoire of spells, (Hikaru has Fire [and a few Lightning], Umi has Water, and Fuu has Wind) as well as having some of the looks and demeanor to match, and the fact that their hold on their current trope is not as ironclad as they hope to be compared to other Magic Knights in the Pantheon. And so Cephiro's Magic Knights were soon transferred out of the House of Magic and into the House of Nature.
- Applies to all or some of them:
- The first thing that was established to them is (apart from being Pantheon deities, what that entails, and how things back home don't need to be worried about) the fact that they're able to use magic here, and that everything they've acquired is available to them here. The second is the matter of their equipment. Their armors used to evolve in accordance to their Character Development, but their new set during their second visit now responds to their hearts. In the Pantheon, though, its default state is in the form as seen in the picture, but changes whenever they summon their Rune Gods to don.
- Speaking of the Rune Gods, in regards to them, they usually slumber in a separate dimension until called by name by the Magic Knights, and are dismissed back there if need be. That said, they can still stick around while their ones that don them have to disembark but also have no need for them to leave just yet. And for unfathomable reasons, mecha parts can be installed in them as well. They were supposed to be called away by Manga!Mokona after the Pillar System was abolished since there would no longer be a need for them since the purpose of the Rune Gods was to eliminate an unfitting Pillar, but negotations from the Pantheon ensured that they would stay.
- Their Escudo blades have special defensive measures when anyone else holds them, even each other. Umi's turns to water and falls to the ground before reforming there, but it would instead reform in Umi's hands if she's nearby. Fuu's becomes unbearingly heavy until it is dropped, crashing hard enough to form its own crater (it's light as a feather in her hands otherwise without losing any mass). And Hikaru's completely immolates the improper holder, though it's only extremely painful and not actually that damaging. However, the Escudo blades are transposed when the Magic Knights don their Rune Gods, and if one of them loses their sword to damage, that damage also applies to their Escudo as well.
- With a lot more various things to do in the Pantheon, this means these countermeasures also end up getting tested, either for retrieval or for disarmament depending on their intentions. First up are the hydrokinetics who could manipulate the water Umi's Escudo turns into, at least until it reforms into its blade form again (though touching it would usually turn it into water again). Next are the very strong deities who test Fuu's Escudo and just how heavy can it get. And then there are the fire resistant deities who could resist immolation from Hikaru's Escudo (she in particular was alarmed when the Pyro tried to take it and they screamed in surprised painnote ). Additionally, telekinetics and ferrokinetics can potentially bypass this security system entirely, unless or even if the Escudo consider this as making contact, in which case only Fuu's might be safely bypassed unless the lifter's power has a weight/mass threshold.
- When it comes to the culinary arts, Fuu is the best at cooking, having packed lunch every day for herself and her elder sister. Umi on the other hand is more specialized in baking cakes, while Hikaru has zero experience in any complex food preparations. While it's true that Umi doesn't like anything sweet, it's presumably fine if it's her own creations, since the resultant sugar level is on her in that case. Curiously, despite her Fire affinity, Hikaru dislikes spicy foods.
- Due to… how things ended up during their summons to Cephiro, the Magic Knights always wish to understand their opponent's desires before judging them as a reason to oppose them. And being bamboozled into killing someone—even if it's the requester who does it—is never a good idea. Of course, should the reasons for the party ever be For the Evulz or they're proud of their villainy, such as Ali-Al Saachez or Lord Xykon, then all pretenses of mercy are gone. Speaking of Ali, they get along well with his enemy Setsuna F. Seiei, given that just like them, he was tricked into killing before he was even an adult. But unlike Emeraude, there were no benevolent intentions from Setsuna's manipulator.
- As they would discover, being sent to another world from Earth is actually distressingly common enough across certain universes, many of them are one-way trips, and some of those have death as a catalyst. The one-ways include Kazuma Satou, Subaru Natsuki, Rimuru Tempest, and Naofumi and the other Three Heroes. The last they feel had it hard and deserved it hard given they were incredibly reckless with their perceived importance to the point of collateral damage, and it took countless deaths, getting themselves and their weapons cursed, and being helped by the hero who they had looked down on to see the error of their ways; the Magic Knights only took the lives of monsters borne from Cephiro's fears, a few of Ascot's Beasts, Inouva, the perceived Big Bad Zagato, and their "recruiter" Emeraude herself (at her request). Whether or not the Dungeon Master's Adventurers eventually made it home without the need to return to the realm to stop Venger from messing with Earth, the Magic Knights understand wanting to do what needed to be done to return home, yet at least the Magic Knights never had to worry about trouble possibly following them back (except in the SRW T timeline, where the threat is much bigger and more widespread and involved far more than just the three of them).
- And then there are those who do manage to make it back, such as the Pevensies (even if three of them meet the same fate as the ones above much later, not that the "survivor" fares better or anything like that), the Amphibia visitors, and Luz Noceda. They notice a contrast with the middle group, who were friends that fractured when they ended up in a strange world and continued to be so until near the end, whereas the Magic Knights were complete strangers not even from the same school who were brought together by a common mission. And while the idea of same-sex relationships was new to them, they still became friends with Luz and her girlfriend Amity.
- Their association with Luz, as well as being magic users period, has drawn the ire of Emperor Belos. And it's a surprise that he was actually an Earth migrant just like them, as well as being a massive threat, yet he somehow believes he's doing good while being a massive hypocrite who wants to destroy all magic and nonhumans, down to killing his own brother multiple times over. Declaring he's doing all of this as a mercy is even more disturbing.
- Despite Umi acting as the big sister in the trio (and being the tallest of the three), she's actually marginally the youngest between them. The more childish-looking Hikaru is actually the eldest. Again, this is marginally speaking, since they're all 14 years old.
- While they're not from the SRW timelines, the Magic Knights somehow have memories of those timelines thanks to the Pantheon. As such, they got reacquainted with the likes of Ryoma Nagare, the Bebop Crew, Kouji Kabuto and his friends, Domon Kasshu, Kamille Bidan, and Guy Shishioh. In that timeline, Hikaru is a fan of Kouji's mecha, while Umi is more into Tetsuya's. Unfortunately, the fates of Zagato and Emeraude are still the same even with all the extra players in the narrative.
- During this, while he wasn't around to meet them the first time around, it eventually reached their ears that Domon once had to wreck the whole Tokyo Tower to root out his Brainwashed and Crazy friends by the Devil Gundam. As for Master Asia, his fate (depart from the conflict or join the heroes) can actually depend on certain choices made by the player, but they understand his pro-environmental outlook. Out of all the Magic Knights, Guy Shishioh is impressed the most with Hikaru in regards to both her extreme determination, even after the incident with Emeraude, and the fact that they both share lion motifs (to be fair though, Rayearth is more of a Lion-Wolf mix). As they had encountered him during his Neo Zeon phase, the Magic Knights oppose Char Anzable, even though there's a bit of conflict given what he ultimately desires for humanity in regards to outer space, even though his methods certainly aren't okay.
- While Dr. Hell is an enemy by default due to his vile reputation, there's an extra reason for this in regards to the SRW T timeline, even if he isn't technically associated with them: the Mycenae civilization once tried to invade Cephiro long ago, but was repelled by Emeraude, Zagato and the Rune Gods. In retaliation, they created Mazinger Infinity based on the Rune Gods, since they believed that it could destroy the order of nature, in a similar way that the Rune Gods are the only beings capable of killing the Pillar that provided order and stability in Cephiro. At least they never got the chance to use it due to their affairs on Earth that ended with their defeat by Tetsuya's Great Mazinger.
- When it comes to those whose tales were assumed to be like a Heroic Fantasy video game only to be horribly mistaken, Lenna shares that particular aspect. After getting through the horrible aspects of her past, they all get along with her just fine. When it comes to fighting a battle that turns out to not be black-and-white, the Magic Knights share this aspect with the Animorphs. Only difference is, the trio only suffered one set of damning tragedies, whereas the sextet were worn down over the course of several months, and a few even began crossing moral lines, such as Jake's flushing of defenseless yeerks, Rachel's escalating violent tendencies, some of Cassie's reckless gambits, Marco's dilemma regarding his mother forcibly on the other side of the conflict, and so on.
- Exclusive to Hikaru:
- Some people were under the assumption that Hikaru is poor because she doesn't go to a fancy private school like Umi and Fuu, and because her house is a kendo dojo. However, when one takes another look, it's realized that said dojo is quite the Big Fancy House anyway, just a more traditionally Japanese one. Therefore, her family is probably just as loaded as her friends'.
- (other kendoka, such as Suguha Kirigaya)
- She gets along well with Ruby Rose, due to having a cheery attitude, most having red as a color motif like her, and from their horrific traumas that come from witnessing death (and in Hikaru's case, being forced to commit it). She also along well with Lilina of Ostia, given that they both focus on fire magic and share a similar voice. However, Hikaru feels more like Roy, due to both having Flaming Swords. That said, Lilina advised her against challenging her father Hector of Ostia, because he's been noted to get really hyper-competitive (not to mention the time where Hikaru once beat her father in kendo at one point, resulting in him going an journey he never returned from as far as the reader/viewer knows).
- Exclusive to Umi:
- The type of lady Umi is isn't special, but it does make for meeting new friends, such as Lili de Rochefort and Lilly Satou. While the former is also a combatant just like Umi and both learned after being forced into the thick of danger, Rochefort's more into barehanded combat and basically got hooked to the point of looking for (specific) fights, whereas Ryuzaki is into fencing and water magic and would only fight to protect her friends. And she would meet Asuka Kazama too, who is very much a friendly sort. In regards to encounters with the latter, at least tea time is peaceful (at least as much as it can get in the Pantheon), and of course she would also get acquainted with her friends Hisao and Hanako… after getting through the initial faux pas that comes with figuring out how to non-offensively address disabled people (especially towards Hanako).
- (False rumored relations to Kazuya Ryuuzaki)
- (Wealthy families and doting parents who still flirt with one another)
- (fencing)
- (Confusions with pronouncing her Rune God's name: Ceres or Selece?)
- Exclusive to Fuu:
- (Primary in archery, second in swordplay, and the fact that it's really really big)
- (positive interpretation of valuing oneself the most)
- (bookworms such as Matilda Wormwood and Twilight Sparkle)
- While it's true that Wander is better with the bow than with the sword, that and his devotion to Mono are the only nice things Fuu can say about him. His quest to slay the Colossi regardless of their passiveness all to bring his girl back is not something she can abide by. But at the same time, she harbors pity for him, and thinks Zagato probably had similar feelings in regards to Emeraude and the lengths he would take to find a way for them to be together without the Pillar system coming between them.
I think these guys are as ready as I can make them.
Gelatinous Cubes, Deities of Gelatinous Encasement ("Scientific Name: Athcoid")

- Potential House: Traps
-
s:
- Lesser or Intermediate Deities
- Symbol: Itself with a number of floating bones, armor, and loot inside
- Alignment: Unalignednote
- Portfolio: The Ageless, Blob Monster, secretes an anaethesising slime, Gelatinous Encasement, Acid Attack, Color-Coded for Your Convenience (or, non-color coded, rather), Blending In The Background, Stripped to the Bone, Has A Few Variants in Pathfinder''
- Domain(s): Ooze, Absorption, Acid
- Target of Interest From: SCP Foundation, Beatrix LeBeau
- Those Who Can Beat Them:
- Phasers: Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, ghosts in general
- Acid-Immune: The Powerpuff Girls, The Knight (if they have Isma's Tear), Kryptonians, Viltrumites, Doomsday, all Steel-Type Pokémon, The Hulk
- Superior Blob Monsters: Hedorah, The Goo, Clayface, Rimuru Tempest, The Grey Goo (once big enough)
- Experienced With Its Like: The Chosen Undead, the Ashen One, all Dragon Quest heroes, The Fortress Dwarves, Steve and Alex
- Others: James Howlett/Wolverine, Wade Wilson/Deadpool
- Those Who Can't Beat Them (Alone): B.O.B., (most of) the Slime family
- Now, Gelatinous Encasement can either be hilarious or nightmarish depending on what the substance trapped in is. And the Gelatinous Cubes from the realms of the Dungeons & Dragons multiverse were chosen for this trope because they're all about this gimmick, and are mostly on the nightmarish end since they consume whatever organic matter they encase. Oh, and by the way, the term Gelatinous Cube? That's just what adventurers call it. Scholars from the realms it originates have a scientific term for them: the Athcoid.
- As for how they arrived in the Pantheon… they've always been there from the start. They only just recently gained notice after the appearance of a specimen in Edgin's party's adventure. Once that happened, somebody in the Court of the Gods decided to officiate it. And with no real competitors for the title in mind, the Cubes were made Pantheon deities, where pretty much nothing has changed for them.
- Gelatinous Cubes are immune to being Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, put to Exhaustion, Frightened, or knocked Prone (as a cube, it has no "upright" side to be knocked out from). They have a "blindsight" of 60 feet (and are blind beyond that), though some specimens have a range as large as 120 feet. Cubes take up their entire space (usually a 5 x 5 x 5 foot cube, but can expand as far as 10 feet in all dimensions), and weigh as heavy as 15,000 pounds. Other entities can enter said space, but if they do, they're subjected to the cube's Engulf and have disadvantage escaping it. Those inside the cube can be seen, but are completely protected by the Cube from outside attacks (though the Cube itself takes damage from those attacks).
- Anyone within 5 feet of a Cube can try to remove anyone or anything out of it, but it requires significant strength, and will suffer some acid damage during the attempt. Cubes can only hold one living entity of similar size—or up to four living entities of smaller sizes— at a time, and any number of items. That said, they're mostly transparent and thus beneath notice unless the cube has moved or attacked within sight of them (or floating objects in its mass are noticed), and Gelatinous Cubes tend to stay in place for long periods of time, so anything that runs into them tend to be surprised.
- Don't let their size fool you: Gelatinous Cubes can be a bit faster than expected if need be, and can travel up to 15 feet within 6 seconds (since 1 D&D!round is roughly that much time). In terms of offense, if it's not moving to engulf its target (who can resist it enough to just be shoved back or aside), a Gelatinous Cube attacks with a Pseudopod (extends a part of itself), dealing acid damage to whatever it touches. And if one is Engulfed, it's even worse; the victim can't breathe, is restrained, and takes more acid damage as long as they're inside the Cube, and are naturally move with the Cube if it does move. But it's not impossible to escape the Cube once inside, just rather difficult.
- That said
, previous iterations of these entities don't actually attack with a pseudopod, and there's more to it than the Monster Manual tells. These Cubes have a layer of anesthesia that cause the entire outside of its body, and looks like a gummy secretion that is absorbed within the bloodstream of the prey through the skin when the Cube uses a pseudopod to apply it. This would paralyze its victim for 1 to 2 minutes, making them mostly unable to "swim" out of the Cube.
- That said
- Athcoids are non-sentient, and therefore cannot be charmed or magically controlled. They do however always respond to certain stimuli the exact same way, enabling it to be manipulated by evil and good alike.
- An Athcoid will cease to advance upon encountering a cold surface or object, and will instead probe to find a way past or around it. That said, it is actually resistant to the cold, on top of being immune to electricity.
- An Athcoid is lured to warmth and vibrations, which explains its "blindsight". On a different note, this means Athcoids can be lured by lava, and some folks have seen these Cubes get immolated throwing themselves into volcanoes.
- Despite their name, Gelatinous Cube bodies are remarkably moldable. They could flow around objects and through narrow passages as small as 1 foot, quickly returning to their shapes once enough space was available. They even sometimes take the form of rhombohedrons when at rest.
- Athcoids actually can move underwater with ease, though its paralyzing agent is diluted while submerged.
- In terms of reproduction, Athcoids are functionally immortal, only dying from adventurers, starvation, or natural disasters. They have a tendency to split every 6 years into smaller identical halves that go their separate ways. That said, these Cubes may sometimes also just bud away a small "baby cube" amongst trash or in a dark corner, letting it grow eventually as it absorbs smaller entities until it reaches full "maturity" (if it doesn't get reabsorbed by its "parent" by then). But when two Athcoids meet, they always fuse into a much larger and stronger version of themselves, though this only lasts between 2 to 8 days, after which they split and part ways again. This only applies to two Athcoids; three or more that fuse just split up again as soon as possible.
- Those who have manipulated these Cubes into their lairs have found them to be rather efficient cleaners, removing all manner of roaches, vermin, and moss, while leaving weapons, armor, and magical items intact (either left behind or inside itself). As such, they're a staple in most dungeons that don't wish to hire traditional cleaners. Despite their threat level to adventurers, there are those who have "domesticated" them for waste disposal in sewers and outhouses. Since they can't climb or dissolve non-organic tissue, they're mostly unable to escape if the hole they're in is deep enough. Given how Athcoids reproduce, its population does need to be kept under control so as not to flood the hole they're in.
- There have been talks of using Athcoids as small cleaners. Well, after a specimen has been attacked enough to be shrunken to safe sizes. At least they're less threatening and more easy to subdue than the Grey Goo, which was initially created to clean bathrooms. Potential uses can range from fantasy Roombas to deep "wastebins" stuck in pits.
- When it comes to rescuing anyone from these Cubes, those with the ability to phase through objects such as Shadowcat or any ghosts like Danny Phantom should be able to remove anyone stuck inside them easily. And anyone immune to acid such as The Powerpuff Girls, The Knight (if they have Isma’s Tear), all Kryptonians, Viltrumites, or similar races, Doomsday, all Steel-Type Pokémon, and The Hulk don't have to worry about the Cubes' paralyzing agent, and most of these have the strength to treat them as child's play. Wolverine and Deadpool have ended up inside these cubes once or twice, but were always able to slice out of them from within.
- Naturally, there have been plenty of Blob Monsters in the Pantheon already, so comparisons have been made with the other ascended specimens. But since the Athcoids have no thoughts of their own, all incidents of contact have ended in consumption of either the Cube or the other Blob Monster, mostly the former given how strong some of the latter are. The lesser members of the Slime Damily and maybe B.O.B. (at least he won't be facing them alone) would certainly struggle, but everyone else such as Hedorah, The Goo, and Rimuru Tempest can assimilate Athcoids with little effort. While Clayface isn't the sort to assimilate, Athcoids are no problem for someone like him to take on.
- Of course, given how many kinds of blob monsters exist across fiction, so have those who encountered such. The Chosen Undead, the Ashen One, all the Dragon Quest'' heroes, The Fortress Dwarves, Steve and Alex. None of them are strangers to dealing with Oozes, and swiftly learned how to handle these specific specimens. And as with all strange things, the SCP Foundation has its eyes on these Cubes as well.
- These Cubes were especially favored by the drow god Ghaunadaur
, who is thankfully not in the Pantheon. They've also been believed to be either fragments or the spawn of Juiblex (not in the Pantheon either), who is able to exert control over them, imbuing them with a sense of purpose and even intelligence. One of these intelligent cubes calls itself Glabbagool
, though it wanted to avoid fighting, and was genuinely curious about the world and the people that inhabited it. But he's not in the Pantheon, just his less intelligent kin.
- Beatrix LeBeau is another who's interested in the Athcoids, and has even decided to take a few specimens to the Far, Far Range. At the very least, they don't fuse with other local slimes with the risk of turning into Tarrs, and might even be able to consume and dissolve them. And while getting Plorts out of Athcoids is not impossible, it's a hassle that she can't deal with on her own. The Monster Sanctuary, mainly Blob Burg there, is another place that they've managed to call home courtesy of Beatrix.

TV Tropes Pantheon Group Members Database
You could make the girls' interaction with Lenna longer. I don't see any reason for her to share a paragraph with the Animorphs beyond the fact that I suggested them in the same post.
I'd really like to write a Pantheon profile, but I just don't have any ideas. Are there any profiles from works I talk about a lot that could do with a rework?
![]()
I have a whole bunch of ideas. You could ask me if you want to try any for yourself
I have some additions that I feel should be made to the Homestuck Kids' folder, from the Nasuverse. Angra Mainyu should be added as an Enemy to all of them for obvious reasons, Saber Artoria Pendragon should be added as an Ally for Jade and Jane because all three of them were corrupted by evil influences, and Shirou Emiya should be an Ally for Dave because they both have created legendary swords and Archer is a version of Shirou who traveled back in time to participate in the Holy Grail War.
Karkat Kitsune
I'm sorry, I'm not really familiar with Honkai Impact. RJ Adoptables is more for general ideas I think are befitting of the trope and they're free for anyone to take and propose on their own time, so long as I am informed
@Radio Raven Ride Avenger Angra Mainyu. If anyone has any other suggestions for Fate/Stay Night characters who would have interesting interactions with Homestuck characters, feel free to leave them here. For example, I was thinking we could add a line to Equius' section about him admiring Rider Medusa's Pegasus, and maybe Nepeta gets a little bit annoyed.

Karkat Kitsune@Nightelf:
for the Cubes.
Decided to work on one of my first rework nominations: Elmer Fudd. For his first draft, the guy is a luckless hunter who's constantly outwitted by Bugs Bunny. So:
- Any other hunters, competent or not?
- Any Ineffectual Sympathetic Villains?
- Any animal trickster he could go up against?
Elmer Fudd, God of Rhotacism (Elmer J. Fudd, The Fudd)

- Demigod, Intermediate as The Fudd
- Symbol: His double-barreled shotgun and his hat.
- Theme Song: Grilled Cheese
- Alignment: Either Lawful Evil or Lawful Neutral, it depends on his mood.
- Portfolio: Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain Who Can Barely Be Called A "Villain", Bugs Bunny's Most Famous Nemesis, Not Very Smart, Won't Give Up Without A Beating, Always Carries His Hunting Shotgun, Occationally Becomes Much Meaner, Has Scored Victories Every Now And Again
- Domains: Hunters, Shotguns, Airheads, Grilled Cheese
- Allies: Yosamite Sam, the Professor
- Enemies: Bugs Bunny (Verges On Friendly Enemy at times), Daffy Duck, Tarzan, Fluttershy
- Avoids: Marvin The Martian, Cecil Turtle, Batman
- Every good hero needs a nemesis for them to fight, and Bugs Bunny has made more than one throughout his long career. His first nemesis, properly introduced alongside him, is Elmer Fudd, a hunter who constantly found himself harassed by the very game he was hunting, even if he was off the clock. For decades, Elmer had attempted to make "wabbit stew" out of Bugs, but time and time again he finds himself outwitted by Bugs, mostly thanks to his own staggering lack of intellect. His attempts at hunting other game hasn't gone too well either, at most being more capable against the more unlucky Daffy Duck. He's so ineffective, most of Bugs later enemies were introduced just to give him some challenge, with Elmer becoming more aggresive as a result. Still, one positive(?) thing that can be said about him is that he absolutely refuses to give up, with him consistently only giving up after a considerable amount of abuse has been dished out. However unlucky he may be, these traits ensured he'd be a mainstay in the Looney Tunes cast, albeit as easy fodder for its trickster characters.
- Stop us if you've heard this before: A hunter was tracking footprints in the forests of The Pantheon, hushing seemingly nothing into being quiet because he's hunting "Wabbits". Elmer Fudd had managed to ascend to The Pantheon thanks to his iconic speech impediment, and for once decided to play it smart by not announcing it so he can get the drop on Bugs and blast him once and for all. Unfortunately, Bugs had already found out beforehand and intentionally had Elmer track fake footprints that lead straight into a hidden pit. From there, it was the usual song-and-dance, with Elmer trying to gun down the wabbit and Bugs outwitting him every step of the way... right up until Yosemite Sam ambushed Bugs while he was preparing another trap. It turns out, in what was apparently Elmer's idea, both men had ascended and, hearing about each other's lackluster success rate with Bugs, decided to formulate a plan to finally get rid of him. Ultimately Bugs was able to adjust to this and outwit the two, sending them comically tumbling off a cliff in a tree stump, but even he had to admit it was a pretty good move on his part.
- This pretty much sums up how Elmer operates in The Pantheon: he goes on a hunting trip, has a chance encounter with Bugs, tries to blast him into Wabbit Stew, fails miserably, rinse and repeat. However, with the sheer scope of The Pantheon, inevitably Elmer would encounter some of the other ascended Tunes for once. He and Daffy Duck had already fought a couple times, with Elmer coming off as unusually competent during these, though that might just be due to the duck's own luck than anything. Meanwhile, one benefit from his botched revenge scheme from earlier was that he and Yosemite Sam ended up becoming good friends due to their shared animosity towards Bugs, even if Sam was the more aggressive of the two. They've attempted the same team-up against Bugs a few more times with Sam leading the charge, though again it hasn't lead to much more than complete failure as usual. They're aware of Marvin and his own grudge against Bugs, but understandably neither want to be associated with the world-exploding Martian and avoid him as much as they can, with Marvin just thinking of them as weak earthlings. Finally, they're understandably baffled about how Cecil Turtle, a seemingly slow-witted tortoise, has had a better win-loss ratio against Bugs, unaware that he was actually a genius when it came to outwitting others. Wisely, Elmer doesn't want to find out, fearing a more humiliating than usual fight should they cross paths.
Sonic the Hedgehog and the Road Runner would probably mess with him.
@nightelf37 For the Magic Knights, Zeref Dragneel wanted to die and end his curse of immortality by having Natsu kill him. He was also in love with Mavis, who opposed him despite still loving him and they ultimately got to be Together in Death. Quite different from how Emeraude wanted to die and Zagato committed horrible deeds to stop her Suicide by Cop, though the girls may still sympathize with Zeref and Mavis regardless.

- Respects: Edward Newgate, Shanks
- Interested: Boa Hancock, Uta
- A former bounty hunter, Roronoa Zoro has the privilege of being the first crewmate of Monkey D. Luffy and the designated swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates. What propels Zoro to fight the more difficult foes of the Straw Hats is his Three Sword Style where he arms himself with not just two, but three swords, two in his hand and one in his mouth. A person would think this is an ineffectual way of swordsmanship, but it opens Zoro to many new angles of pressing multiple blades even if he knows how to use fewer swords. Though durable and powerful before entering the New World, two years with the greatest swordsman Dracule Mihawk would buff Roronoa Zoro to a ridiculous degree upon teaching him Haki. What Zoro seeks as his dream is to be the world's greatest swordsman, a dream of his deceased friend and that would require to defeat Mihawk, the man who honed his Haki capabilities. Right now, he is intent on following his captain until the bitter end and challenges anybody who will get in their way.
Zoro: Me? A god? I'm sorry. I never pray to God...
- Being the first member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Zoro has been with Luffy the most and is considered his closest confidant, seen as the First Mate even though Luffy has not directly cemented it. Luffy lacks the foresight to establish a hierarchy and though he stands by him to the very end, Zoro has those days where he wants to beat the crud out of his captain like everybody else. Funnily enough, Zoro is likely the least interactable member of the crew as most of the time, he is either training or sleeping even though he is such a strong presence. Even teaming up with Zoro is difficult as when he gets stressed, he could get lost in a straight road. For being the most competent member of the Straw Hat Pirates who is willing to tank pain that could kill even the most durable persons as if it were nothing, what hurts him more is not knowing where he is. It is theorized if he were the navigator, he would have ended the journey the moment they set sail or instantly found the One Piece. Besides that, Zoro has defeated infamous pirates like Daz Bonez, Pica, and even King and is a massive contributor to taking down the greater foes the Straw Hat Pirates would face. His epithet being the Pirate Hunter is not an Artifact Title at all. It is more of a simple statement of what his foes will expect.
- Although his friendships on their ship are strong from exhausting Nami, care for Chopper, and protectiveness of Robin, Zoro's most volatile relationship on the ship is with Sanji who he is tempted to slice up in nearly every encounter they have. The two's rivalry stems from competition, disagreeing on so many matters, and trying to have a leg-up just to boost their egos. In the end, though, they do place a strong trust in being reliable whether they admit it or not. The crew knows this too, and just treat their bickering as an everyday occurrence rather than an annoyance. They would be disturbed if there was no fighting between them when they talked.
Zoro: If I was a woman, I wouldn't even glance at you.Sanji: I know a person who can do just that. I'll prove you wrong and I will make you fall in love with me, I swear it you green-haired punk!Usopp: Uh... I think you want to rephrase that...
- As his blades have made even the embodiment of a Stone Wall be forced to dodge, Zoro sees himself ready to challenge the strongest swordsmen who come across his path. Though they have to come to him then he comes to them, as Zoro's dedication to his crew comes first. An indicator of his strength beforehand was his duel with Ezra Scarlet and while she undoubtedly had swordsmanship and magic to dispose of most enemies, Zoro's sheer strength ended her quickly and he has only gotten stronger then. Except his sense of direction which has not gotten stronger in the slightest.
- When Jump Force was created, Zoro surprisingly did not join Luffy's Beta team even though everyone else who knew Luffy joined the latter. The reason why was for Zoro joined Son Goku's team was to accumulate more power. That sounds quite heartless from his end, though all the Straw Hats understood where he was coming from. Zoro takes it seriously to improve himself for the sake of the crew's next adventures, a reason why the pirate crew spent two years apart. If a warrior like Son Goku could boost his power, then time away from the Straw Hats is a necessary sacrifice for the long term. And as much as Sanji would like to accuse, he did not join because he got lost on which team he would join... Well, it started as such but he joined on his terms.
- Izuku Midoriya is one of the more impressive people Zoro met in the Jump Force. Yes, he first took notice when Sanji confused him for a Mosshead. Izuku wanted to see how a real capable hero like Zoro does things. Too bad giving Zoro directions was the worst thing Izuku could have done because they ended up in a bad neighborhood and were mistaken for a pair of cops. Even though Zoro relatively enjoyed the scuffle, Izuku did not seem like he was hunting marginalized people for fun.
Izuku: Okay, that was a disaster. Hope we meet again in the second... Uh... Where is he?Zoro watches as Izuku on a spaceship is sailing away from him.Zoro: Oi.

- A foe that Zoro fought was against the Hero's Shade of all people. He had a dream, then started to wander off a bit in the dream. He was pretty sure he saw that talking sponge who makes good burgers passing by. Then Zoro ended up in a foggy landscape where an armored undead fellow awaited him, making him think he was back at Thriller Bark. The Hero's Spirit asked if Zoro sought a challenge with him, to which Zoro replied by taking out two swords. The Stalfos was a powerful foe in swordsmanship, especially that unbreakable sword of his. But Zoro managed to land the tip of the sword on his neck after biting on his third sword. When pressed on if he learned anything of their fight, Zoro replied he did enjoy the different forms he witnessed. That was when Zoro woke up. After that dream, Zoro learned how to utilize his Spin Attack more lethally.
Luffy: A spin? Let me try doing it right here...Zoro: LUFFYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
- Miyamoto Musashi is considered one of the greatest swordsmen if not THE greatest. The swordsmanship is so strong that some would see a manifestation of the god Tenman Dai-Jizai Tenjin behind this vagabond. When Zoro presented himself for a duel, he showed off a manifestation of Asura behind himself to show he could reach his level whether he wanted to or not. It was then Musashi stumbled, having indulged in too many drinks the night before to bother fighting. Zoro would have waited for him to recover, though ended up finding the drinking stash Musashi had. What happened later was seeing two men fighting on the streets naked, lazily swinging their swords blindly like babies. No true fight happened though somehow two gods standing behind them were equally as drunk as they were.
- Since the Soul Calibur is a cursed blade that seeks out manipulable wielders, it turned its attention to Roronoa Zoro as its next user. As the Straw Hat is looking for the strength to become the greatest swordsman in the world, it is natural to believe that Zoro will do anything for power. Unfortunately, Soul Calibur did not anticipate that Zoro had experience with cursed swords already. There was a thing with his childhood friend and THAT was a detour. Zoro is also armed with a cursed sword himself, something the Soul Calibur did not know and it was more akin to a lesser Soul Edge than something orderly. Being interested in the Soul Calibur that presented itself as a katana, Zoro found the blade to be quite a harsh one just by looking at it. What Zoro did not expect was that Sadai Kitetsu and the Soul Calibur were fighting each other for dominance. It was then Zoro elected to just put the sword he was not using to the ground. His using three swords is already pushing how many places to clutch swords. The reason he was not going to bring it as a spare was because he knew that Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper would play around with it and get themselves stabbed. Or they will try to make him use four swords and the only plausible way is to clench it between his buttcheeks. Soul Calibur should be thankful that it was left alone.
- Vergil Sparda is said to be one of the greatest swordsmen, Zoro had a particular interest in meeting him. But that required to actively search Vergil out, something that anybody could tell Zoro was particularly stressed about. Somehow he ended up in a hellish domain where demons were running around, which Zoro was able to dispatch only to get more lost. Then he finally bumped into Vergil Sparda there alongside his brother, issuing the challenge that he sought. Dante Sparda appreciated Zoro's spunk, laid back, and watched as Vergil prepared his sword. Vergil only told Zoro that he did not need three swords to prove that he was a man, before promptly slicing a portal and kicking Zoro back inside. Dante was surprised by his brother not bothering with a fight, but his brother gave his reasoning. He still sees much potential in this Roronoa Zoro fellow, even with his current strength. Until he realizes that true potential, only then he could relish in knocking him down with Yamato. Dante could only admit he has a good point, saying that a fight with him would be like taking a bazooka out for a small animal that has yet to grow (unless orbs are in the question).
- More than a few times, Zoro found himself facing a Rathian or a Rathalos variant. He became a bit of a scourge on the wyvern population since he just kept on running into them and then cutting them down nearly instantaneously. The man could slice through mountains, so some scaly lizards are more than a few notches down. For those who somehow remembered hundreds of years ago, a penniless samurai with the epithet of the Sword God also culled the Rathian and Rathalos population. Many of their bones still litter places, making it seem like a war happened. What clued in some that maybe the Sword God and Roronoa Zoro were connected was due to both of them making chicken noises as they chased down the wyverns. A true terror for anybody.
- A certain samurai was said to have a technique that simulated being hit by three swords in different directions, Roronoa Zoro wanted to meet Sasaki Kojiro. But they did not fight when both men truly wanted to. Zoro wanted to see how such a move works and to his ire, he cannot understand how a single sword could produce such results in skill alone. He practiced and practiced but could not produce a result from one blade. When Kojiro told him perhaps aiming higher should be the goal. That was the catalyst for Zoro achieving Nine-Sword Style, simulating three times the strikes for each of his three blades. Kojiro had to whistle impressed that someone managed to emulate his move without directly copying it.
- For as much as Artoria Pendragon would hide her sword, she found it alarming that Roronoa Zoro was one of the few to catch on instantly Excalibur's length. She remarked that this pirate would be a devastating Saber should he undoubtedly be remembered in legend. He does have the surprising will of a conqueror despite his unelegant appearance. But the only thing interesting outside the match for Zoro was not anything about the Holy Grail War... but rather the idea of the Holy Grail giving him a wish is tantalizing. He would say that perhaps unlimited drinks is a keen idea, even though wishing to be the greatest swordsman, his cousin back to life, or even getting an innate GPS sounds more practical of a wish.
- After his duel with Samuel Rodriguez, Zoro was told to seek out Raiden and Armstrong next, his defeaters. The swordsman was interested in Raiden but was only told by the cyborg (Franky would be pleased) that he should honestly jump straight to Armstrong. He has a wife and kid and doesn't want to lose any more of his flesh already. Zoro heeded that request and went to Armstrong and the man kept spitballing about war economics and how to save American democracy from authoritarianism. The bounty hunter could not understand the things Armstrong was spouting and just wanted to cut him. When Armstrong deflected his slashes with a fist, Zoro knew that the man's Haki must have been ridiculous. But with a strong spin, Zoro slashed through what he saw as Armstrong's Armament Haki, nearly taking his neck off. When questioned why he isn't finishing the job, Zoro only said that Raiden also made him swear not to kill Armstrong. That privilege belongs to two "special" swordsmen.
- Melkor did not know what to do when he saw a moss-headed man wander around his lair, somehow getting lost in the place. Of course, he tried to squish Roronoa Zoro but he dodged out of the way. What proceeded to happen was something that Melkor did not expect and the swordsman proceeded to slash the environment around them. Melkor did not take a dent of damage but then his entire home got destroyed by one person who would be an ant to him. Zoro managed to get away by simply not finding his way back, leaving an Evil Overlord with a destroyed home. Normally insurance would cover the accident but… Melkor's plan to save some money bit him.
Melkor: I will never be uninsured again!
- It seems that Zoro is not the only one with a bad sense of where they are going to. Celica A. Mercury, Leon, and Agnès Oblige stumbled upon the swordsman multiple times and even though their lack of directions is not as severe as Zoro's but being around him made their incompetence increase dramatically. In the end, there was a main party of four getting lost in different places for days on end. They bonded well there and when they got back to civilization, they were arrested for trespassing as where they were lost was private property. When they were about to be taken in at the station, Zoro ripped off his cups and slashed the building with a sheathed sword. To the amazement of his three new friends and to the alarm of the cops, the police station was diagonally cut in half before they hightailed it out of there... only to be lost again. Luffy found them in a day later, so all ends that ends well.
- When Zoro got lost in the jungle, it was a good thing a certain man raised by apes found him before starvation did. What drew Tarzan to Zoro was that when he was swinging from a vine, that Tarzan heard a primal yelling of, "AAAAAAAAAUHHHHHHHHHHHH!" as he made his patrol. When the hungry Zoro was brought back to Tarzan's home, he thought that a chocolate riceball was in the floor and ate it. He was tied up and starved in a yard for a bit, so eating that meant nothing. But Tarzan had to point out that was not made of rice or chocolate. Zoro promptly made ridiculous face as he spat everything out.
- As he is physically stronger than the average person, Zoro thought to challenge the all-powerful Asura himself. Asura with a flick of a finger sent Zoro flying. He said that training with Augus might let him be a little stronger as he is far from ready to even be in a benchpress contest with him. Zoro would admit later that perhaps Mihawk treated him too lightly as training from Augus was the equivalent of fighting for your life at certain times of a day that was not embellishing in debauchery. He did not lose a single fight but it was hardly winning either. It was fortunate Augus let him go upon recognizing that it was no longer being fun prancing on a mortal, as Zoro felt like a blow to the back, the coward's wound, would be inevitable as a result of him loosening his guard. He did gain some better muscles but had to be wrapped up back on the Straw Hats' ship. Sanji had fun making Zoro look like a bouncing crucifix.
- When Madara Uchiha saw Zoro, he thought of him as a great warrior already. But seeing his closed eye that had a scar over it made Madara Uchiha believe the Pirate Hunter was hiding his true strength. Not that he would believe that Roronoa Zoro was hiding a unique eye that gives him the power to make meteors crash. Logically, he is putting pressure to shut that eye up constantly and that is a curiosity that requires even a tiny bit of effort. What proceeded was Madara Uchiha fighting Zoro in a devastating match that would have annihilated entire cities. When Madara Uchiha was about to bring a fatal blow, Zoro successfully slashed Madara across the chest and nearly made him need to dodge. With those blows, Madara acknowledged Zoro still keeping up with holding back and managing to land something against the Ghost of the Uchiha regardless and let him off, hoping for a time when Roronoa Zoro is comfortable enough to unleash everything he has. At least neither men did not suffer the greatest shame swordmen may carry.
Nothing happened.

No, not for this profile about the images. In general.

If you're unsure that he was ever proposed and approved, you can propose him just to be safe.

I don't think there's a hard limit, but my rule of thumb is that if at least half my screen is filled with hidden images, either some of them can be merged into collages or removed.

SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMYThen I will propose Izanagi for the trope Blaming the Child for Childbed Death. In the myth, Izanagi and Izanami create many gods together, but when Izanami gives birth to the fire god Kagitsuchi, she dies. In fury and grief, Izanagi kills the child.
