Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

  • In his bid to destroy Son Goku out of revenge for the collapse of the Red Ribbon Army and for killing his son, Dr. Gero set off to create cybernetic beings, with each build successfully becoming stronger and more effective. For his final piece, Dr. Gero decided to collect DNA samples of Earth's greatest fighters including Goku, Krillin, Tien, and Piccolo before setting his sights on the galaxy with Vegeta and Frieza being included. The end result was a 21st android that was purely biomechanical, but its development time would take years before it fully matured. This being would awaken a long time later with a built-in purpose to kill Son Goku, but also to find two other androids, namely 17 and 18 whom it could absorb to reach its "perfect state". The creature found out it awoke too late as 17 and 18 were already destroyed by a warrior named Trunks. Taking no chances, it quickly ambushed and killed Trunks before taking his time machine and travelling to the past to hibernate for some time before re-emerging to cast terror upon Earth.
    • The creature would awake at around the same time Androids 17 and 18 would emerge. Christening itself as "Cell", he would signal his arrival at Ginger Town where he would kill everybody by using his tail to dissolve his victims and siphon their nutrients to himself, gaining more power in the process. After a close encounter with Piccolo, Cell would make more attacks until he was powerful enough to defeat the Namekian and absorb 17. Despite some setbacks and an interruption from Android 16, Tien, Vegeta, and a Trunks from another point in the future, Cell would absorb 18 as well, finally reaching his perfect form. Not too satisfied with his accomplishment after demolishing whatever stood in his way, Cell made a public announcement to host a tournament of his own called the Cell Games where if he were to win, he would destroy Earth. On that fateful day when the tournament was held, Cell and Goku fought to determine the planet's fate, only for Goku to give up midway and pass on the battle to his son, Gohan. Interested in wanting to see the young boy's hidden potential, Cell proceeded to mentally and physically torture Gohan, even conceiving mini-spawns of his own called "Cell Juniors" to attack the Z-Fighters. Cell got his wish by killing Android 16, which incidentally triggered Gohan's transformation into a Super Saiyan 2, only to realize he was way over his head when Gohan coldly killed the Cell Juniors and proceeded to mentally and physically torture Cell, destroying his confidence and regurgitating 18. Frantic, frightened, and angry, Cell attempted to blow himself up, but Goku took to teleporting himself and Cell away and into King Kai's planet before detonation. However, Cell would survive, regenerate in his Perfect Form with an energy boost, teleport back to Earth and resume his battle. In the midst of this, he reached an epiphany that he was created to be the "end of all things", and that he would embrace this role, intending to spread terror and despair to everybody on a planet before destroying it and repeating it until the universe is deprived of life, starting on Earth. He and Gohan engage in a beam clash and although the android was close to winning, a timely intervention enabled Gohan to make a spectacular comeback, finally destroying the omnicidal bio-android.
  • Cell's story may have ended in defeat, but his notoriety managed to persist as he would be given a second chance in life, much to the shock and horror of those who had come to know him. Indeed, Cell would find himself in the Pantheon, his Perfect Form retained and quickly travelling this new realm to learn more about it. It didn't take long for Cell to realize his situation and he was excited to restart his proclamation about being the "end of all things". To begin his quest for terror and genocide, he decided to search for a planet and slowly have its inhabitants succumb to fear and helplessness, after which the bio-android happily destroyed the world and scouted for another one to do the same. The event would not go unnoticed as the Grand Spacial Onlookers would immediately take an offensive stand and make plans to find and stop Cell from spreading unchecked destruction. However, this was Cell's plan all along; he wanted a group of galactic onlookers to put their attention to him, figuring that they would send out some powerful fighters to battle against so the android could have an excuse to flaunt his power and stature. Cell is making sure that the Pantheon becomes a playground for him to fight in and enjoy, desiring that said fights make him stronger to prepare himself against more powerful opponents.
  • As an android, Cell possesses great power, speed, and endurance, as well as a wide assortment of abilities thanks to his nature of hosting a number of genetic donors. He also shares their personality traits; Goku's love for fighting, Piccolo's cool mind and analytic thinking, Vegeta's pride and ego, and Frieza's cultured demeanour, bloodthirsty, and sadism. Even so, Cell's nature remains unique, though, like Frieza, he has a penchant for wanting to cause destruction, carnage, and despair for entertainment's sake. While not the most significant of threats in the Pantheon, Cell intends to provide a grand opening for himself in a godly realm, so he likes to start off by fighting strong foes to entertain himself. As a result, he was pleased to learn that Goku was in the Pantheon as it meant that he could finish the fight that Goku had thrown and he's not taking any chances to let that happen. Gohan and Future Trunks' presence in the Pantheon was also welcoming news as he could exact his revenge for being killed, and them being much stronger meant motivation for Cell to begin training and becoming stronger. That said, his reputation and goals have made him a rather unpopular figure, but after learning just how big the Pantheon is, the android has decided that gaining a few allies might be a refreshing change to simply operating on his own.
  • Given his nature and what he desires most, Cell hardly has allies. Most either hate him for being a brutal, sadistic monster while others are more annoyed by how much of a showoff and narcissist he is. Not that Cell really cares about such, but despite some bickering with each other, mainly due to his own snark, Cell and Frieza get along rather well. Considering the former has the latter's DNA as part of his genetics and thus, contributes to his malignant nature, Cell is sure to thank Frieza for being a partial reason why he's perfect. He's also enamoured to learn that Frieza's training allows him to become stronger at a far faster rate than Saiyans and thus, took this as a chance to further train himself, hoping that Frieza's genes allow him to bypass even his Perfect Form. The two of them work effectively together when in combat, with Frieza even offering a position for Cell to join his army as his right-hand. Cell declined politely, though, in his mind, he can't see himself as a servant, but otherwise tells the galactic tyrant that he is happy to collaborate and work with him.
    • Cell also gets along with Cooler, considering their shared enmity against the Saiyans and the two sometimes having ostensibly civil conversations with each other about spreading terror towards others and asserting dominance against those who dare to challenge. To everyone's surprise, he's even come to form an alliance with Broly, with Cell outright admiring his bloodthirsty and destructive nature as well as the sheer power he possesses. He and Broly shared an enemy in Goku, hence why the two came to some form of agreement, with Cell even affirming Broly a chance to work together in a bid for universal despair and carnage, an idea that the Legendary Super Saiyan was immediately interested in. As for how they work, Broly is the destroyer while Cell spreads the terror in an effort to make their combined work more theatrical. However, despite their shared goals, Cell is unable to get along with Majin Buu and instead sees him as a rival. Though this is mainly because the Buu in the Pantheon is currently Kid Buu, someone who literally cannot be reasoned with, much to Cell's annoyance and he feels that Buu is too chaotic and unpredictable to even communicate with. That said, he'd assume that maybe Super Buu he could get along, as long as Cell himself isn't absorbed by the pink Eldritch Abomination.
    • Zamasu was the one Z-Fighter adversary who hates Cell just as much as the heroes, but his reason is summed up as "you're a creation of mortals, you committed acts of evil, hence you're a representation of mortal sin that must be cleansed for the cosmos", not to mention committing the "sin" of travelling through time. When Cell learned about Zamasu, he burst out laughing out loud because he can see right through the fallen Kai's delusion and see him for what he truly is; a narcissistic, immature elitist who's too mentally lost in reality. In addition to boasting about his own immorality and nature, Cell affirmed that he's happy the way he is, and if some deity is to whine about him, then maybe he should try to see more about themselves before jumping to conclusions. Not that Zamasu would ever care about this, he would rather smite the android more than anything else. While not as strong, Cell at worst finds Zamasu incredibly annoying and preachy about being the divine being, which isn't saying much considering his own liberal use of the word "perfect" and would just prefer to do whatever he likes, a stark contrast to Zamasu's burning hatred towards him simply for his nature of being a creation of mortals.
  • The Batman Who Laughs was one of the few foreign allies that Cell was able to make and the reasons are easy to see why; they're both Omnicidal Maniacs motivated by a desire to cause despair and terror as well as getting a thrill out of destroying existence, not to mention they have a very high opinion about themselves. While not an alternate Batman, He Who Laughs still finds Cell fascinating in his own way and was delighted at the chance of working together, especially as Cell can't be killed in most conventional ways and Cell himself is interested in He Who Laughs's several ways to torture others and play mind games with them, even feeling a little inspired to take some cues from him. He also found amusement in the Plutonian's fall from heroism and into villainy, but quickly found appreciation in his reign of terror. The Plutonian saw Cell as a potential ally, made all the easier by their mutual alliance with He Who Laughs and they soon formed an alliance. With He Who Laughs being the brains, Cell being the instigator of terror, and the Plutonian being The Brute, though not letting behind the fact that the latter two are smart, the trio aims to take their reign of destruction as far as they could in the Pantheon and even bleeding it into the Dark Multiverse, a scope that Cell is all too eager to expand to.
  • He admires Dr. Gero, but only because he created him with his own genius mind, so it just comes off as stroking his own ego even more, though it is the reason why the scientist is exempt from the android's killing spree. Gero himself is rather conflicted; sure Cell succeeded in killing Goku and was a smashing success in regards to his plans and as an android, but planetary and universal destruction was not something that he was banking on Cell to be. As a result, conversations between the two of them tend to be very awkward, with Cell praising Dr. Gero for his work, and the latter just not really having a clue what to say. Things have soured between the two, given that Android 16, the android that Cell killed to spike Gohan's anger and hidden power, was a physical template for Gero's son, and even more so with Vomi, Gero's wife, being a template for Android 21 and having the capacity to become stronger and potentially rival/devour Cell to become stronger. While Cell still wouldn't kill Gero and still admires him in his own self-serving perspective, he does intend to kill 21 partly to prove himself the superior android and to punish Gero for daring to make a better android than him.
    • He thinks Shou Tucker is absolutely pathetic. That said, this is not for moral reasons, given that Cell couldn't care less about Nina and Alexander, but because the android found the scientist to be so unambitious, basic, and lacklustre in his pursuit of creating talking chimeras via alchemy and that his creations were simply trash from the get-go. Not to mention Tucker's desire for fame and entitlement for something so mediocre in Cell's eyes were annoying and he'd chuckle anytime the Sewing-Life Alchemist is killed, either by others or himself. With Professor Hojo, Cell admits that his creations do have some value and entertainment factor to them, but his son, Sephiroth was what really got his attention, considering his origins as a test subject to be Shinra's ultimate product for their SOLDIER project, their take on an Ultimate Lifeform. Cell had an epic battle against the One-Winged Angel, the fight resulting in the latter having to morph into Safer Sephiroth once the two began to push their limits. The match ended prematurely with Cell bailing out, only to teleport in front of Hojo and congratulate him for creating somebody whom he could call a Worthy Opponent. Hojo was a bit stunned but remained affirmed that Sephiroth is still the better fighter; after all, he's his creation.
    • While most don't really know the origins behind Doomsday, Cell, having developed an interest in the monster for his nature to destroy everything around him, managed to find out about that. He wound up praising Betron for his attempt at creating "The Ultimate", regardless of the immoral and depraved efforts Betron took to get to that end and was excited to test his might against the creature. In their first fight, Cell killed Doomsday by firing a Solar Kamehameha into the monster as well as destroying the planet they were in, though not without Cell having a dose of punishment back from being pummeled. In their second fight, Cell was shocked to see how Doomsday adapted to that and Cell had to feign being dead once he was beaten too many times. Although terrified, the android was further interested in what Doomsday was capable of and now seeks to learn how he could adapt similarly, believing that "further perfection" may be possible after all, thanking Doomsday for giving him a further drive in wanting to become stronger and indestructible. That said, he sees Doomsday as a rival while the former just sees Cell as another threat he needs to kill for his own survival.
  • He became enemies with the Powerpuff Girls when he decided to visit the city of Townsville as his next destination for his killing spree, and the girls immediately confronted him as a threat who needed to be halted. Mojo Jojo initially considered working with the android, only to be terrified when Cell confronted the monkey and made it clear that he intends to spread his destruction as far as he could. Mojo Jojo doesn't mind taking down the girls, but Townsville is his to conquer and he doesn't like the fact that Cell would want to ruin everything solely for his own entertainment. This marked one of the very rare occasions where the monkey admitted that he'd have the Powerpuff Girls be the victor in this case and would even help them against Cell, affirming that only he gets to deliver the ultimate defeat of the girls. Cell just laughs all this off, and learning that Mojo Jojo indirectly played a hand in creating the girls only leads to him using this information to make fun of the monkey for trying to destroy something of his creation because he got rejected by daddy. He also finds Professor Utonium to be boring and the idea of creating his daughters through "girly things" to be incredibly nauseating and putrid on his end. On the other hand, Utonium finds Cell to be a horrible monster who needs to be stopped at all costs, which only further prompted Cell to affirm how uninteresting the good professor is.
  • Not surprisingly, he's made an enemy out of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man due to his omnicidal desires. That said, Cell wanted to fight Sonic due to his Super Mode, which he saw as a "Super Saiyan imitation", something that he found amusing. Cell's goals were not a new thing for some in Sonic and Mega Man's rogues gallery, but the fact that he found the idea of destroying their friends and loved ones to be one he would indulge joyously made the two heroes very alert about Cell's depravity, which was soon justified when they saw just how powerful he was. Cell, on the other hand, found fighting with Sonic to be rather fun, but the Blue Bomber was somewhat disappointing; whatever Mega Man can do, Cell can do a lot better, at least from what he says. It's also from them that Cell learned of their arch-enemies, Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily, but both scientists quickly took opposition against him; sure they're evil and proud, but they want to conquer, not destroy, not to mention Cell's actions even left the two doctors a bit shocked at his brutality. That said, there are a few versions of Eggman and Wily that are capable of being just as evil as Cell, but the dominant iterations have made it clear that they want nothing to do with the android and would rather see him gone as they feel Cell would be a massive and fatal roadblock to their endgoals if not stopped.
    • Despite being built with a similar purpose, Metal Sonic has nothing but opposition against Cell. Defeating Sonic is one thing, but killing everything is something he finds pointless and detrimental. Cell simply sees him as "a waste of Eggman's talent", citing his imperfect replication of others' techniques as such. With Metallix, there is some serious rivalry between the two. Cell quickly noted how his dark quest to obtain the Chaos Emeralds to achieve his ultimate power is too similar to Cell's attempt to gain his Perfect Form as well as Metallix having a sadistic desire to cause torment and destroy life. The two noted their similarities, but an alliance was nowhere to be found as their claims to be the ultimate being ended with them fighting to determine said status. Given he's never lost a fight, Metallix was annoyed about finding someone who could match him while Cell, whose since witnessed defeat, had some enjoyment in said fight. Despite this, he does want Metallix to find the Chaos Emeralds, expressing a desire to fight the Robotic Psychopath at his full power. Metallix was surprised to hear such but declared that he will kill Cell if he ever achieves his goals, with the latter telling the former that he'll be waiting for that day.
    • Shadow the Hedgehog was another attempt at an Ultimate Lifeform and it was for this that Cell even bothered to pay some attention towards him. That said, Cell found out about a battle simulation between Shadow and Vegeta... where the former lost terribly and used this information to mock Shadow about how if he couldn't stand a chance against Vegeta, how would he fare against the android. This didn't deter Shadow, who has since moved on from his thoughts about the simulated fight and told Cell that if he will fight to defend his world, he will do it without hesitation. Even with that aside, Cell was amused to hear that Shadow was created in an attempt to find a cure for a girl Shadow grew to care about, which he found laughable and told Shadow that Maria Robotnik is not worth suppressing the full potential of his power and to just give in to his dark impulses. This infuriated Shadow into fighting the android, as Cell expected, though he realized that Shadow wasn't as weak as he had made the hedgehog out to be. Still, Cell did manage to understand why Shadow was considered the Ultimate Lifeform... in his world, and while he did put some effort into their bout, the omnicidal bio-android still affirmed his superiority. Shadow has since vowed that the next time they'd meet, he wouldn't let Cell get away with his crimes. Cell just left with a sarcastic nod, proving that he's still a threat for Shadow to be prepared for in the future.
  • If he's not out trying to raze destruction, Cell will just create an arena and host what he would call the "Cell Games", being the host and manager for obvious reasons. While it's a blatant recreation of what he did in his mortal life, he's been putting some effort into making things more theatrical, knowing that tournaments and fighting competitions are a popular sport in the Pantheon. Said promotion caught the attraction of Shao Kahn of Outworld and Heihachi Mishima of the Mishima Zaibatsu Corporation who hosted the Mortal Kombat and Tekken tournaments respectively. Heihachi very quickly became an enemy to Cell and has made it clear that he cannot support someone who wants to destroy worlds, provided that he wouldn't be able to host his events and keep his company afloat if that happens. Shao, on the other hand, was impressed with Cell's vicious nature and the two quickly became acquaintances as a result. Cell was also quick to praise the Mortal Kombat tournaments that Shao and his minions hosted, taking a liking to a competition where fighters had to kill their opponents. The two of them would sometimes observe each other's tournaments to get some ideas about how to make theirs more interesting and Cell is taking notes of how to kill his enemies more "spectacularly" in his own words, being inspired by the fatalities that the MK fights end to end on. That said, both are devious schemers when their put their thought into it and with Shao being a notorious backstabber, Cell needed to affirm to keep their relationship professional as he wants some entertainment. Shao has kept this afloat for his own reasons, which Cell is alright with.
  • Being a threat from the future, he's obviously not liked by the House of Time and Temporality, though a few deities like the Reverse-Flash have admitted to being impressed by the lengths Cell would take to make others fearful. It doesn't help that Cell would make several ramifications at different points in time, all out of an obsessive desire to become "perfect". And related to time, the android found yet another foe in Lucina, a warrior heir who travelled back in time to stop an omnicidal dragon named Grima from laying waste to her world. Cell took Lucina's tale as key information and, in an attempt to mock and insult her, formed an alliance with Grima. As it turns out, the Fell Dragon was also an attempt by a Mad Scientist to create an exquisite being in his view, so the android felt enamoured to find someone of similar origin and desire. Lucina was not happy to learn of such and very quickly made efforts to fight or at least interfere Cell in an attempt to stop him from achieving what was basically Grima's goals, though Cell treats her as a pest and would rather want to humiliate her first before considering killing Lucina as he wants fun in tormenting someone first. Grima himself was impressed by Cell being relatable and being someone who could support and aid him in his path of destruction.
    • And speaking of threats and fights connected to the past and future, Cell noticed that Trunks shared a lot of similarities with John Connor, with the obvious exception being that, unlike Trunks, John was a leader and a more obvious symbol of hope compared to the half-Saiyan. By extension, Cell also learned about the supercomputer, Skynet and was fascinated by how an AI decided to become a destroyer immediately upon activation. Skynet came to support Cell... somewhat. They both want to destroy life and the two work together in killing sprees, but Skynet aims at organic life with the express purpose of having the machines dominate existence while Cell is impersonal to the idea of conquest. Even so, Cell knows that Skynet is lying to itself about machine supremacy and only wants dominance solely for itself if its paranoia about its creations turning against it is of any indication. Regardless, Cell plays along, finding Skynet's sadism and hatred towards life interesting and seeking to learn more about torturing and breaking others, though Skynet's paranoia may result in using Cell as a template for a bio-cybernetic Terminator as a last resort, assuming that such a creation would develop sapience quickly and usurp Skynet in its scenes for destruction and conquest. John is predictably not comfortable with being reminded by Cell, though this allowed him to develop his friendship with Future Trunks, with the two of them equally assuring that they'll put a stop to Cell, no matter what.
  • While they aren't in an alliance due to them lacking proper sapience and being insanely indulgent in their predatory behaviour, Cell does express admiration for the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor for being exactly that; unhinged monsters who have no care about who they attack and what they target. The android does wish that they remain long enough to recognize their position and hopefully embrace themselves for being remorseless killing machines, which is helped by other unnaturally sadistic and unfettered tendencies. It helps that they, like Cell, were made with the DNA template of multiple beings, in those two's case, different sorts of theropod dinosaurs and modern-day animals and were additionally made to be military weapons rather than living park attractions. If he has spare time, Cell would sometimes go to wherever the Indominus and Indoraptor are and observe them from a safe distance, marvelling at their destructive behaviour and them killing whatever they could sink their teeth and claws on, with the android seeing it as one of his favourite hobbies. Regardless, Cell baulks at the idea of a Jurassic Park and a Jurassic World, figuring that creating cloned dinosaurs was only a step in furthering mankind's desire for self-destruction and found their downfall to be hilarious, only lamenting the fact that he wasn't there to personally witness it.
  • On the subject of being the ultimate being, Cell learned about the Omnitrix, a watch that allowed its wearer to transform into any being they like, complete with those in the top physical condition and possess an array of abilities, and quickly went off to search for its current holder, Ben Tennyson. At first, Cell was underwhelmed by Ben's admittedly large variety of transformations and techniques... until Alien X showed up, after which Cell showed excitement about the idea of fighting a potentially omnipotent being, only to be surprised and humbled by the transformation's far greater power and control over the battle. Being humiliated and beaten badly before being disintegrated, it was one of the very few times where Cell felt truly angry when he returned to life in the House of Life and Vitality, despite gaining a significant power boost. Despite wishing to kill Ben as horribly as he could, he wants to do so when he is being Alien X, mainly because he needs to affirm his pride that he truly defeated a god-like alien. Until then, he's now trying to find ways in becoming stronger, training included.
  • Cell's omnicidal odyssey caught the attention of Brainiac and Ultron, who were also notorious for their attempts at destroying life, albeit for differing reasons. For Brainiac, he wants to capture the most advanced city on a planet, shrink them and put them into a bottle for his own research and collection before destroying the planet it came from and for Ultron, he disproportionately hates organic life, desires robot supremacy, and is not above killing mechanical life if they dare oppose him. Both of them saw Cell as someone they could work with for their own ends, with Ultron feeling that an android with a desire to end life would be a suitable partner. Cell agreed on an alliance, though he has no interest in collection or supremacy, rendering this a little loose. That said, Cell does respect Brainiac's intelligence as being above expectations and the Coluan reciprocates by seeing Cell's physiology and potential as "exquisite", whereas Cell also appreciates Ultron's tenacity and adaptiveness in case things go rough for him. On an extended note, Brainiac decided to enlist Cell in an attempt to kill Superman, something that the bio-android expressed high excitement for and despite his loss, felt that the Man of Steel would be a great opponent to deal with if it means getting back and getting stronger, causing Cell to always look for an opportunity for another fight against him. By contrast, Superman utterly despises Cell for his malicious nature and forgoes any attempt at mercy after seeing just what lengths Cell would go to for his own goals.
"Once I've finished tearing this world into pieces, I'll just use Goku's Instant Transmission technique to move onto other planets. That is my destiny!' I am the universe's end!"

  • Self-proclaimed to be a hermit, Kasen Ibaraki is actually many things, and hiding so much more, behind her human-like appearance, ranging from being an oni, to being a Sage of Gensokyo. However, she would much prefer living life as it is now, taking in the beauty of normalcy and calm. Despite being a kind and helpful person, however, Kasen has quite a few dark shades to her disposition and process.
  • Her ascension was arranged by Yukari and Okina as a result of everything that began happening with Gensokyo and its residents since Chimata Tenykuu’s ascension. The fallout of that event has culminated in quite a turbulent series of events for the Touhou deities, both already and newly ascended. Yukari & Okina both knew that they really needed to step up their game and catch up with the modern times of the Pantheon, so they decided to enact a plan to ascend the last known member of the Sages.
    • Kasen had been mainly hanging around Reimu’s shrine up until the day she would be ascended, when both Yukari & Okina showed up before her to request her aid in something. This unnatural reunion obviously made the hermit suspicious, especially knowing of the events that occurred since the market goddess’ ascension, but given her duties as a Sage, she accepted. Once they passed through the Land of the Back Door, they found themselves at the Court of the Gods, and suddenly Kasen knew- she had mainly known of the things that recently transpired, but never got involved as she wasn’t ascended. Yukari and Okina were gonna change that, much to the annoyance of the hermit.
  • Regarding Reimu, Kasen is one of her closest true friends and allies, alongside Marisa…a feeling not so reciprocated by the shrine maiden at first. She once saw Kasen as an annoyance, but over time, she grew to learn and like her quite a bit. Kasen also served as The Mentor to Reimu, guiding and training her for when she has to seal away her cursed arm again, helping her raise more money for the Hakurei Shrine, and other such tribulations. They don’t always see eye-to-eye on things, but they are very much in agreement to them whrn it comes down to it.
    • Kasen, by extension, is also friends with quite a fair bit of Reimu’s camaderie. Marisa is a strong supporter of Kasen’s mentorship to Reimu, which while made the shrine maiden annoyed, it also pleased the hermit. Sanae is pretty much a neighbor to Kasen, as they both live on Youkai Mountain, and are also friendly with each other. With Sumireko, though, things are slightly more tense (especially given what Sumireko did), but they still have an amicable relationship, sometimes finding excuses to visit the Outside World.
    • As a Sage of Gensokyo, she has a sworn duty to maintain the land of fantasy and its integrity. However, of the trio, she is probably the most vocal when it comes to expressing her opinions on the others. Kasen, like Reimu, finds Yukari to be cowardly and annoying, pestering and bothering others into stopping or starting things for her. She echoes this for Okina as well, as well as citing that she has an idea on the inner workings of that secret god’s mind. However, in the end, she still regards them as allies, as they are just as much protectors as she is.
    • Is weirded out a little by Miko’s strange infatuation towards her. Well, Kasen does call herself a “Taoist Hermit”, so it would make sense that Miko would be asking for advice from someone like her, right? Well, she may not really know the full extent of what Taoism is, but her affinity with animals and nature as well as her kindhearted personality have made her quite a fond character in the Crown Prince’s eyes and mind. Kasen isn’t sure of what to make of all of this, really.
  • Ever since her ascension, Kasen has begun wandering around as usual, looking for new experiences. This has resulted in quite a few new friends and foes for her to juggle.
    • The House of Beasts And Fauna welcomed the hermit with open arms (or paws? Appendages?), making her an honorary member of the House. Rexxar in particular respects her quite a lot, as she is a beastmaster in her own right, also having tamed 5 beasts like him as well as being a hermit. The rest of the Beasthood, and by extension most of the House, are also respectful of Kasen, and are more than willing to take her side if she ever is put in a tight situation.
    • Howled with laughter upon seeing Sr Pelo's recreation of the events that occurred within the Scarlet Mist Incident. She found his playful artstyle and animation to be very endearing, as well as its tongue-in-cheek and slapstick humor sparsed with clever soundclips and effects. For a day or so, it was all Kasen can talk about to Reimu and co., who while annoyed at first, eventually decided to watch the video themselves. Since then, Sr Pelo had become a celebrated icon in Gensokyo, and is one of the few deities who have been allowed in and out of it freely without reprecussion.
    • Not all is fine and dandy for the hermit, however, as there are always going to be obstacles in her life. She had been made aware of some recent threats to Gensokyo and its residents, such as Tanya, Alice (not Margatroid), Brand X, Terumi, and older foes like Odio. She’s also found some rather unscripulous characters in the House of Beasts & Fauna, like Chantel DuBois and in her opinion, The Dovahkiin. To Touhou deities in particular, Kasen is quite a critic towards Keiki Haniyasushin, thiugh given their respective stances on animals, this shouldn’t come as a surprise; it’s also not surprising that Junko would be an enemy of Kasen’s as well, given that the divine spirit is in association with Gigyas.
  • Not many people beyond those from Gensokyo know that Kasen is actually an oni. But if you’ve researched Kasen’s last name, Ibaraki, then it does become a bit more obvious as to what she actually is. Her supposed actual identity became one that quite a few took notice of.
    • Rem & Ram, two fellow oni in the Pantheon, became acquainted with Kasen through Sakuya Izayoi. The hermit felt bad for Rem’s current condition, and adds herself to the growing list of deities who’ll help them whenever she can to restore Rem’s memories. Kasen was also acquainted with the Masters of Spinjitzu through the oni servants, who were, again, surprised to find more friendly oni in the Pantheon now, but have since become friends with her.
    • Ritsuka Fujimaru, the master of Chaldea, was quick to locate Kasen, as they suspected that she was their Ibaraki-Douji. Though that wasn't really the case for Ritsuka, Kasen herself was rather unnerved of their description of Ibaraki-Douji, it deeply reminds her of herself, especially when she merged with her arm to truly become Ibaraki-Douji herself. Thankfully, though, when the two oni did meet in Ritsuka's temple, no true animosity emerged, as they instead recounted their respective pasts without much judgment. Since then, both Ibarakis, as well as Ritsuka, have become friends.
    • A deity that gives Kasen some pause is Momotaro, who along with animal companions of his own, took to taking down an island full of oni. While she was more concerned about the oni that had dealt the damage first, she was wary that Momotaro's skills with a blade are not to be underestimated. The boy himself also expressed concern about Kasen, as she is Ibaraki-Douji although not as evil nor powerful without her true right arm, but was still nonetheless rather rattled at such a powerful oni could be around in the Pantheon- and that's not counting Kasen's heralds...
  • Kasen has a myriad of abilities at her disposal, learned from her many years. Ranging from hiding her home in different ways (potentially similar to how Miko does with Senkai), channeling and manipulating light spheres, instantaneous movement, and of curse, incredible strength. She also is in possession of a magical box/cup that seems to have the ability to cure its drinker's ailments and wounds completely as well as grant them strength, but in return, their disposition becomes similar to that of an oni's. For the former, the manipulation of light orbs has gotten her the attention of ne of Miko's training buddies, Oriko Mikuni, but the hermit doesn't think too highly of her despite both of them having a bond with the Crown Prince. The House of Health and Diseases are quick to ask Kasen for samples of medicinal salve from her box, but she refuses to budge when it comes to that, as she states that there's other, and probably better, alternatives that they can explore first.
  • Kasen's main reason for training and mentoring Reimu was so that the shrine maiden can be prepared to strike her, or rather her evil self that was sealed in her severed right arm, down, so that said arm can be resealed. Kasen had planned quite extensively to pull this off, much like how her other fellow Sages have pulled off extensive plans of their own. Since her ascension, she has had many aspects of those events reflected in many of the deities she has seen and met with.
    • Ritsuka, learning of Kasen's previous plight, referred her to the Hassan With The Cursed Arm to spend some time with. They both have cursed right arms, though compared to Kasen with hers being cut off and housing her malicious and evil side, the Hassan's right arm houses a full-on demon, and is attached to him still. Another such friendship would be struck with Hellboy, in the same house as Hassan, also with a cursed right arm. They both also happen to choose to leave behind what they used to be and become better people- and they do like animals, with Hellboy having a fondness for cats while Kasen is much less specific on her likings.
    • Once watched on Sumireko's phone how Samuel Rodrigues brutally slashed off Raiden's arm, and was piqued. She wondered if that, in the unlikely event the seal for her right arm would be removed, she can call upon Sam's help instead. While their first meeting was normal and they were friendly about it, he did bring up the heated moments between Yang, Blake, and Adam, especially with the fall of Beacon. She then encountered the aforementioned trio, one by one, over the course of the following day. While she sympathized with Yang's situation and what resulted from it, she doesn't hold Adam to that degree, but maintains as much neutrality with the other as possible.
  • Did you know that Kasen got banned from the House of Food for a few days? Many cite it as an incident caused on purpose, but the actual events were much simpler than that. The hermit once was at that House to get some food and talk to some of Reimu’s other friends, when she caught whiff of Ragna’s cooking. After a bit of chat about living with cursed arms that can make them evil if unleashed/unsealed and and how good Ragna’s cooking is (which, of course, he didn’t ham about), she took him to meet with her correspondents- Yuyuko and Youmu, both ghosts. Naturally, Ragna freaked out about seeing ghosts, which in turn caused Youmu to freak out about ghosts as well, and now both have their weapons drawn, shrink-eyed and scared. However, Ragna in particular laid eyes at a table where Byakuren Hijiri and her disciples sat- including Nue; his fear becoming rage, he took off and went to assault the alien for that nasty scare she inflicted upon him a while back, which devolved into a brief but full blown battle across the House. And then everyone but Ragna & Nue (who blamed each other) pinned the situation on Kasen, the only noncombatant in that whole ordeal; thankfully, Eiki and co. knew what actually happened, and only gave a light sentencing to the hermit in the form of a three-day ban.
Yukari: That’s the spirit! Now you’ve really become a resident of Gensokyo!
Okina: An impressive feat, indeed- what an incident you’ve managed to cause, Ibaraki.
Kasen, annoyed: Another word from either of you and I’m going to apply intense percussive therapy on your smug faces.

@ Puzzarian: Go along with Gracia. It's more original than the idea I have

Also thanks everyone for the Iris' votes. I will get to ascended it now. But first I am considering a couple tropes for one J.P Beaubien. One is Sarcasm Mode; the entire point of the web series is showing what not to do as a writer. As such the character of J.P pretends that the terrible writing advice is actually really good writing in the most ironic and facetious way possible. The other is Take That! since as the entire point of the series is a Deliberately Bad Example of what not to right, there are numerous pot shots to different works of fiction and stuff, to the point of having a sub-page on it

  • When it comes to the game mechanic of Item Crafting, where you merge certain items and maybe do a little more extra to create a new item, the Atelier series is what popularized it in JRPGs, and its games are built around this mechanic. But because the first series aren't available outside of Japan, and because the Mana-Khemia spinoff duology and Iris trilogy don't have as much focus on the Item Crafting part, the Arland quadrilogy was explored instead, and its main characters were selected to represent the franchise. It also helped that someone wanted to ascend Rorona Frixell to represent Pies at the House of Food, but then it was decided to also ascend select people down the Master-Apprentice Chain. But let's get to who they are first.
    • The first is Rorona Frixell, an apprentice alchemist born in the capital of the Arland Kingdom. One day, a knight nicknamed Sterk delivers a message from the government: due to the recent advancements in steam technology, they will no longer support the art of alchemy and have made plans to shut her workshop down. The only way that Rorona can change their mind is by carrying out a series of tasks over the next three years designed to prove that alchemy can still be relevant in modern day life. With her alchemy teacher Astrid being too lazy and apathetic to care, it falls to Rorona to develop her alchemy skills and save her workshop from closure.
    • Eight years after Rorona's tale, the second is Totori Helmold, a young adventurer from Alanya Village who is travelling across Arland (which has since become a Republic) on a grand quest to discover what happened to her Missing Mom. Having been taught the art of alchemy by Rorona, Totori slowly develops her skills as an alchemist to aid others and her own journey, with the goal of becoming a famous adventurer firm in her mind. She eventually learns what happened to her mother Gisela; she had gone out at sea to take on the Flauschtraut terrorizing it, but failed to slay it, though she managed to deal enough damage to it for her daughter's party to finish the job years later. However, her ship ended up wrecked and she was left stranded in another continent across the sea and at a snowy village. She then proceeded to have a crack at the Devil King that was causing mass destruction to the north that required sacrifices from the village to be appeased, only to just end up tying twice against it, and passing away from illness/injuries and being buried at her ship at her request. Totori would eventually finish what her mother couldn't and put a stop to the Devil King.
    • Five years after Totori's tale, the third is Meruru Rede Arls, the Rebellious Princess of Arls, a small kingdom located in the northwest of the Arland Republic. Bored with palace life, she impulsively decides to become an alchemist under the tutelage of Totori. This does not sit well with her father Dessier and royal retainer Rufus given tragedy befell Meruru's aunt Sofraneis Yerx Arls as a result of following a path of adventuring (plus alchemy) alongside Dessier and Ludwig Giovanni Arland prior to their reigns as kings, when she tried to develop the wasteland around the volcano Mt. Velus. Specifically, she had to put to sleep a demon in the volcano that would've turned Arls into a wasteland, so they propose a deal: if Meruru can prove that her interest in alchemy is not just a passing fad by improving her skills and using them to develop Arls into a thriving kingdom over three years just as Aunt Sofra had with her adventuring before she died, then she will be permitted to complete her training. And just like Totori before her, Meruru would eventually finish what her parent('s sibling) couldn't and put a stop to the Firedrake Airshatter. Then, she successfully made Arls a great place before the merger was completed, thus abolishing the royalty. After that, she began to travel the continent at her father's suggestion.
    • And eight years after Meruru's tale, the last in this line is Lulua Frixell, adopted daughter of Rorona, and apprentice of Piana, who was Totori's second apprentice after Meruru, and grew up in a frontier village named Arklys. Though she studies hard to surpass her mother (who actually didn't really teach her alchemy, leaving that to Piana), she doesn't start out particularly talented at the art. And then Lulua finds a strange book which she dubs "Alchemyriddle", which only she can read, and which mysteriously reveals a hint whenever she needs to use alchemy to solve a problem. One day, Lulua receives a letter informing her that her mother's Atelier is about to be shut down due to its license expiring and technically fails to save it, but gets to save it anyway…under her own name instead. In order to save the workshop, Lulua heads towards Arland, which begins a great adventure during which she will learn much about the world and herself. And that includes an actually robot girl named Stia, Fellsgalaxen at risk of collapse and taking Arklys with it, Mana being the same/better kind of robot as Stia, having to choose to sacrifice Stia to save Arklys (and Arland as a whole) or find another way via a Memory Core to temporarily store Stia's memories so they won't be erased, and an alternate timeline and desiring to change the fates of its Lulua and Stia with a Restore Core.
  • It is not known how exactly Rorona's line of alchemists made it to the Pantheon, but it came in the form of separate invitations sent to each of them after Lulua saved both Fellsgalaxen (plus Arklys above it) and Stia, and her efforts to make sure that this fate is consistent in all timelines, as well as an accidental misuse of the True Dragon Hourglass. When they were sent to the Court of the Gods, that's when they realized they were now in the ages (and attire) they were when they just finished their own adventures, and none of them have even taken any Potions of Youth. The Court explained the reason for the alchemists' Ascension, and that it came with the ability to swap to any of their previous appearances (except Lulua, who is the last known one in the chain, though the dress of her Parallel Timeline self is available). Speaking of the Potion of Youth, Rorona also now remembers her time as a kid after using that, and how embarrassing some of those are, even if Lulua wants to hear details.
  • Applies to all or some of them:
    • Their collective temple is named Atelier Arland, since it's the realm all four alchemists resided in, from its status as a kingdom, and to its reformation into a republic. All four alchemists and their Heralds reside and work there, and it takes elements from all the workshops they worked in, but Rorona also has a mobile Atelier that she and Lulua (and Piana) take and travel on. Assisting in item synthesis are the two Homs made by Rorona's master Astrid (one made first to assist Rorona, and the other made much later during Meruru's time), five Chims made by Rorona for Totori, and one of those named Chim Dragon has become something a little more. Totori even uses the Chims for battle by sending one to a foe in a kamikaze run and blow itself up for powerful Fire damage (though the Chims themselves just end up lightly charred yet whole after that). In case anything happens, there's also a repository for making more Chims called a Hom Motel. Unlike Hom, they can only replicate synthesis items and consumables, and require pie as motivation (Chim Dragon still has similar obsessions). While they can certainly be instructed to replicate pies for themselves, it's usually better if their mistress(es) do(es) it instead since their pies usually come out better, and thus further motivate them. However, with certain potions, Totori can "evolve" Chims to be like Chim Dragon.
      • There's also a Pie Shop on the side whenever Rorona is in the mood for making pies, though was demanded to have it open at least once or twice a week. That said, she also makes curry, but only for Lulua, who in turn is considering opening a curry shop on the side as well (and may as well just fuse the two into a single store). Totori is also known to be able to make alcoholic drinks (including variants made with fish) via alchemy (having synthesized them among other things since age 14), though usually doesn't drink even after becoming of age. Naturally, Rorona and Lulua are experts in making their favorite foods (though Lulua can do pies too), be it the traditional way or through alchemy. As for Meruru, while she's a big fan of mushrooms, and can synthesize a number of mushroom-related dishes, she's not nearly as obsessed with making them as Rorona and Lulua are.
    • Regarding Rorona's mobile Atelier, the reason it has no windows and why doing anything extraneous like item synthesis is ill-advised while it's moving is because of how physics is messed with to make it Bigger on the Inside and because the place tends to bounce a lot while traveling, not to mention the wagon potentially collapsing on itself otherwise. At least with the existence of consoles and smartphones in the Pantheon, there's more to do, such as planning what recipes to synthesize once the mobile Atelier stops, taking inventory, talking with people outside the wagon, etc. They have special Containers across their temples and Rorona's mobile atelier that all connect to the same storage space. That said, they've never checked what would happen if two or more Containers have their contents fiddled with at the same time. Totori also has a "secret bag" that connects her Basket to these Containers as well. Lulua has one such "secret bag" too, but it's limited to just sending her entire Basket inventory to her Container.
    • Despite their stories being interlinked, there are memories of Multiple Endings for each of them, though obviously only one of each is canon to make way for the next one.
      • For Rorona, after successfully proving the worth of Alchemy to the rest of Arland's higher-ups given Sterk and Gio already think well of her, and inheriting the workshop from Astrid for good, since she decided to leave for another town to rebuild her reputation, she may have taken a few days to bask in her accumulated wealth and lay off after three years of hard work, opened a pie shop and sold the pies she baked and concocted, ditched the workshop to Hom while she goes on monster-hunting adventures with Cordelia, life continues on without Astrid leaving and doomed to be boring, leaves town anyway to learn more alchemy due to her nonexistent reputation with the populace rendering her workshop non-profitable, either with only Hom, or also with Lionela (and becoming a dancer like her), or also with Tantris, or has become a screw-up in alchemy and has become explosion-prone, though her reputation with the populace allows her to stay anyway (and perhaps either becoming Iksel's screwy assistant in his shop, or end up getting Sterk as her minder). However, the ending that would eventually lead to her taking in Totori as an apprentice would be where she becomes highly influential and busy as the town's alchemist, and maybe either gets Cordelia as her manager after spending far too little time with her, ends up becoming the Royal Alchemist thanks to Gio, the King of Arland, or manages to keep up thanks to her friends, and eventually get an alchemist rival in the form of… her own returning master Astrid.
      • For Totori, after five years of adventuring and proving she's certified for it, she may have continued being so only for her village of Alanya, adventured together with Gino (but with Sterk and Rorona constantly coaching them from behind), adventured together with Melvia (and occasionally visit the village where Gisela passed away), adventured together with Mimi (and become famous enough for their tales to be written in books), adventured with Marc to determine the secrets of the land's Lost Technology (on a giant robot, no less), became an Alchemy co-teacher with Rorona (though Totori ends up getting more attention with the students and inadvertently upstaging her), went to Arland to work with Rorona… and end up arguing over who gets to take Sterk with them on adventures, went overboard with making Chims (over the maximum 5 she can make in-game) that they eventually replace the adventurer system at Arland, or ended up opening an Alchemy Restaurant under her name with Gerhard, Iksel, Ceci, and Rorona. However, the ending that would eventually lead to her taking in Meruru as an apprentice would be where it turns out Gisela survived after all thanks to help from Astrid, but had to recover for eight years before she was finally able to come home, and then a year later the Arland Republic decided to send Totori to the Arls Kingdom to help develop it with alchemy.
      • For Meruru, after five years of developing Arls before their merge with the Arland Republic, and thus ceasing to be a princess, she may have failed to rise in fame and became lethargic for a while before deciding to find a new goal, moved to a new atelier where she's super busy, became overburdened by all the development and synthesis requests that she decided to help Rufus with his job instead, raised Arls to become highly specialized in agriculture to the point of getting a new local delicacy thanks in part to her alchemy, raised Arls to become a tourist getaway thanks to a hot spring Peter found, became so charismatic that her own master Totori and Mimi vie for her attention, became a frontliner in the defense of Arls's borders, even if she's a reckless planner, became a confident, powerful, and successful adventurer with Keina by her side, witnessed Rorona restored… to 14 years of age when she first started her rise in alchemy, or witnessed Astrid reforge the Potion of Youth thanks to Meruru's work to be able to adjust all the alchemists before Meruru to 14 and have a tea party. However, the ending that would eventually lead to Rorona returning to her normal age (and therefore able to adopt Lulua in the future) would be where Astrid challenges Meruru to further perfect the antidote to the Potion of Youth by synthesizing the True Potion of Youth, and Meruru succeeding exceptionally well enough for Astrid to follow through on her promise.
      • And for Lulua, even without any sequel to require one to be rendered canon, there are also multiple ways her story reaches its conclusion in the eyes of the player. She may have failed to find a way to save Stia, and sent her Alchemyriddle back in time to another Lulua in the past just like the Lulua before her, settled down in Arklys to run her own atelier with Stia by her side, supported Eva with running the orphanage they both lived in while still running her atelier, traveled with Aurel as they honed their prowess in battle together, even if they quibble as he teaches her swordplay, traveled together with Piana in their wagon Atelier, teaching alchemy wherever they went, traveled together with Ficus as street performers and seeking to aid young minds with potential for growth, joined Niko's exploratory fleet in his mission to discover new trading routes to the Eastern Continent, bid farewell to Rorona and Sterk as they departed from Arland to explore the Eastern Continent (which may have happened anyway no matter what), or opened her own curry shop with the help of Stia, Chim Dragon, and Piana, even as her non-curry alchemy requests declined. However, what is considered the Golden Ending is where her skills started to rival her mother's, and she decided to depart from Arklys with Stia to further her craft even more.
    • As alchemists who partake in combat sometimes, item use is their main method of doing that, besides their staffs, which double as stirring implements for their Alchemy work. They are as follows, which include bombs, Beast Statues, cannons that shoot balls of magical power, ice bombs that can make impromptu frozen bridges over water, Air Drops that enable temporary underwater breathing, and other healing items. There's even a Tera Bomb that can risk one-shotting everybody on foot without the proper attributes like "Narrow Range +3". More of their attack items can be seen in the following links.
      • Out of the four, Meruru is most competent in terms of physical attack via staff. Naturally, she's still more suited as an item caddy in a party without plenty of fellow Arland alchemists. That said, by the time of Lulua's adventure, Meruru has switched to using a sword (and Totori switched to an Alchemy-made book that can summon whatever she needs to synthesize something). Lulua herself also has a pickaxe crafted with alchemy, though only for busting stone and mineral obstacles. And given all the things they cart around and the explosives they throw, all four alchemists are deceptively strong, with Lulua even able to beat a seasoned veteran knight (who's survived hits from dragons and is himself a legend above Rorona's level) in an arm-wrestling match (though he was holding back the first time, and can possibly trounce her in subsequent matches). Lulua even tanked a cannon shot ''point blank'' with barely a scratch while she was trying to convince her friend to have some extra-special Philosopher's Curry.
    • Despite looking like a simple task of mixing stuff in a cauldron, there is more to "Arland Alchemy" than that, thus why it's actually quite difficult to teach. And there are implications that this method of Alchemy might actually be some sort of alien technology. Rorona is considering once more the prospect of teaching her method of alchemy, with the young earth pony Apple Bloom as her first student in the Pantheon. Totori already took steps to establishing an Alchemy Classroom just like before during Lulua's time at the old Atelier Rorona, though it's not known if she already got Rorona's permission to do it back then, or if she would've gotten approval anyway as Totori's just about the last person on the planet Rorona would ever say "No" to. Between the four, only the first two have actual experiences with apprentices, and Totori's the much better one between them (apparently, it makes much more sense to those with natural intuition for alchemy, which is how Totori learned anything at all to teach others later, while Rorona struggles to even teach Lulua how to synthesize Pie as opposed to baking it). Meruru isn't suited to teaching, hence why the Master-Apprentice Chain didn't continue with her, but she's getting better thanks to Lulua and has taken her in as her junior. And Lulua herself is looking to be a prospective teacher as well.
      • Compared to the others, Totori is more involved as an adventurer and has started going out more often with their like than the others, such as the Etrian Odyssey Guilds, Keyblade wielders, Steve and Alex (who do their own crafting as well), or Tadano Hitonari. And ever since her father suggested it after abdicating the throne, Meruru has also become more involved in traveling, and even had a brief stint in vigilante work as Masked M (before having to stop after it turns out most people are too smart (or too dumb) to fall for her Paper-Thin Disguise). And this means taking requests in the Pantheonic Soldiers of Fortune (and her fellow alchemists do the same).
    • Once their temple and mobile atelier were properly set up, Atelier Arland was open for business, and each of the alchemists have gone out to various shops in the Pantheon that sell sundries, food, or (pre-modern, gun, and cannon) weapons for purchases, "Wholesaling", and selling of supplies to them just like before, at least in Rorona's case. And there is a much wider variety of materials in the Pantheon as well, such as Plorts (getting them a business partner in Beatrix LeBeau, though she won't tolerate her slimes being attacked unless they're fighting Tarr), shards of Kryptonite, Kyber crystals, Redstone, all sorts of Fantastic Flora, and other minerals and liquids. Additionally, everything in the Dominions Expansion has shown plenty of new resources to try out, though some areas were off-limits, and others way too dangerous even for the likes of the alchemists.
    • By the way, ship parts can also be synthesized, but it has to be in parts since there's only so much room in a cauldron. Totori and Lulua are most experienced with this, having done this before on behalf of a shipwright father and a "pirate" friend respectively. For some reason, the alchemists all have a strange fascination with barrels, even if they use them in battle sometimes. At least to Lulua, saying the word out loud brings a strange ineffable sense of joy. There is "fun" opposition from Pew Die Pie as a result, who hates barrels with a passion.
    • As alchemists, they drew interest from others of similar professions such as the Elric Brothers, their allies, and Anataeus Vaya, as well as potion makers like Severus Snape and Horace Slughorn. And now they have to get used to having genuine enemies as well, who would want nothing more than to exploit them for weapons, mainly explosives, and especially the N/A bombs. As such, they also have troubled relations with Plague Knight and Mona, but less so for Lulua, who finds their explosives fascinating, just excessive when they use them for absolutely every problem.
      • And then there's the Potion of Youth Rorona once made with Astrid during Meruru's apprenticeship under Totori, and Meruru's further improvement on it to successfully bring her back to normal from being a kid. Something like that would also draw its fair share of nefarious folks, such as Mother Gothel, who would want such potions for their own vain uses. Sure, everyone's functionally immortal in the Pantheon, but getting a younger body is still too tempting to pass up, and with Rapunzel kept out of her reach, she has to find alternatives.
      • Rorona has also gotten her Ruby Pies stolen from her shop by Father's minions due to rumors of hearing that a Philosopher's stone is an ingredient in it. She insists she just uses Ruby Prisms, only to then get questions as to why she even uses magical stones as ingredients in the first place. Lulua has also made a similar pie at least once, following her mother's recipe, and made a version for curry too, though that's less likely to get stolen (buying it is enough), but not many desire to even consider eating it except those who can eat minerals such as the dragonling Spike. Rorona has also vowed to never again make living food, not after the Living Pie, and makes sure that everyone else down her line vows the same. Flint Lockwood knows what that's like.
      • Other items the alchemists have made that are regarded as generally useful are ice bombs for making impromptu frozen bridges over water, Air Drops to allow for temporary underwater breathing, Alarm Clocks for recovering from KO
    • The thing about Item Crafting is that that game mechanic tends to be ubiquitous nowadays, and they all derive from the system used in the Atelier games, Tethu and Tethi
    • When it comes to ghosts, Rorona fears them, but can get over friendly ones as long as they don't do too much scaring. Totori shares most of these sentiments, especially after a miscommunication that almost made her assume that someone (Pamela) was perfectly willing to sacrifice her own life, which was only okay because she was already dead to begin with (being a ghost inhabiting a "body suit" specially made for her). Meruru doesn't express as much fear of them as her alchemy master. As for Lulua, she's completely immune to their scares, given the orphanage she lived in before has been set up as a haunted house so many times, and upon being revealed that Pamela was actually a ghost, her reaction was basically "already seen more fantastical things than ghosts".
    • Cats and other naughty or shedding-prone animals are not allowed inside the ateliers due to the risk of stray fur interfering with the ingredients or the cauldron, not to mention being hard to sweep up, and because the Homs tend to be strongly attached to cats. The Alchemists are also fearful of people who act very different while drunk, since each of them have been… playfully fondled by those they've discovered with that trait. Really, anyone who gets promiscuous while drunk is a no-no to ever be with. Lulua is most fearful of drunkards since Piana told her of HER experience with two drunk women, and ever since Piana's lightweight drunken spree from liqueur chocolates, she also vowed to abstain from ever imbibing alcohol.

  • Exclusive to Rorona:
    • Rorona was horrified with what the Alchemists Guild that Miriam and Gebel used to belong to did in order to remain relevant compared to what she had to do. Rorona just had to prove the worth of her work to Arland's higher-ups with its king Gio already in full support, while that Guild decided to summon demons to frighten people away from the Industrial Revolution. Frankly, that was far, far stupider than anything she did in her youth, and not only did they hurt—no, kill—a lot more innocent people, their plan failed anyway. As for her opinions on the Shardbinders themselves, she sees no problem with either of them. Gebel's actions do unsettle her, but she trusts Miriam.
    • Rorona's parents, while supportive of her career choice (even gifting her rare materials for her craft), are rather inattentive, even taking multiple vacations during her rise as an alchemist). Sure, she does have a legal guardian in her own master Astrid, but unfortunately she tends to be rather lazy partly out of frustration with how Arland treated her own master when she failed to industrializing the kingdom like her predecessors have and leaves most of the work to her apprentice. That said, it's not known how long they've been like this, or if they only started leaving at the start of Rorona's tale, and whether they were putting their faith on Astrid, and several other factors. But at least Rorona has both of her biological parents who think of her (Totori's father was mainly useless and her sister Ceci was the one who mostly raised her, and their mother was missing for years and presumed dead before coming back thanks to Astrid, Meruru's father was disapproving of her line of work unless it could be used to develop Arls before it's annexed to Arland, and there's no word on her mother, while Lulua doesn't even know her birth parents).
    • In case it wasn't obvious, Rorona really loves pies, whether it's baking them or synthesizing them (after Astrid prohibited her from using the former method to further hone her skills). As such, she's drawn attention from other deities known for their pies, such as Toriel for her butterscotch-cinnamon pies (and sometimes snail pies), and Amelia Bedelia for her lemon meringue pie (when she screws up her directions). Crystal Gem Pearl is also interested in the pie-making process, though not so much the eating part (with the sole exception of Toriel's pie).
    • Blackbeard of the One Piece world once checked out Rorona's Pie Shop when it was open, but to his disappointment, no cherry pies were on the menu. While under the pretense of being an ordinary if intimidating customer, he planted in her the idea of adding cherry pies there. One week later, she has started selling cherry pies, and Blackbeard became a very persistent customer, draining her supply of that in moments and waiting when he realized that she synthesizes them with Alchemy. He's even started contemplating abducting the alchemist to make more Cherry Pies for her, but leery eyes from her daughter Lulua, as well as the realization that she could just as easily synthesize something that could mess up his crew, not to mention probably losing a source of cherry pies, he decided not to enact that plan.
    • Despite everything, Rorona's nickname of Cabbage Girl from a contest long ago managed to spread, much to her embarrassment. This netted her a business deal and friendship with the Cabbage Merchant, however, as soon as he made sure there were no cabbage slugs in his wares. She even Wholesales Cabbage Pies for him to sell, though she advises that they need mayonnaise or other sauce to be extra delicious.
    • Having made friends with a puppeteer named Lionela, she has no issues interacting with others of her like, and is in amicable terms with Alice Margatroid when the puppeteer visited for a synthesis request one day. Rorona also tends to give nicknames to people she wants to befriend, and one of them was a wise old bearded man she decided to nickname Al as they talked about Alchemy and how it's different across worlds. It then came to a bit of a shock to the friendly denizens of the Wizarding World that Rorona was in really casual terms with Albus Dumbledore.
    • Was once able to "sleep" while flowing down a river all the way from one end of a country to another, as Totori can attest to when her father fished up her teacher by accident. That's like sailing down the River Nile from Victoria Falls to the Nile Delta. People are amazed she didn't drown at any point and was still coherent enough to continue teaching Totori some more after that.

  • Exclusive to Totori:
    • Totori doesn't think alchemy and science have to be in opposition to one another. She also doesn't think alchemy is magic. Unique to her, Totori has the ability to Duplicate an item without reducing its use count at the cost of mana and some of the item's potency when used. Lulua wanted to learn it, but all she learned was super-fast Synthesis and it took a heavy toll on her stamina that Totori decided to just give up on the endeavor after Lulua passed out as a result. Sometime during her apprenticeship under Rorona, Totori has somehow learned to exude such an intimidating presence that a person's vocabulary skills just plummet when she's around, and she's only gotten more formidable since then.
    • Having had to fight an entity that demanded human sacrifice and (almost) took her mother's life when she tried to fight him (and tied twice), Totori is more heavily against such people more than her master, apprentice, or other apprentice's apprentice. On top of this list are Tezcatlipoca (as an Aztec God and all), Mola Ram, and Zigfrid Shultz of the Aryan Brotherhood for performing these obscene rituals. She also harbors sympathy for Linkara's Magic Gun for having been a victim of Human Sacrfice, though couldn't stand its attempt to gaslight Linkara, but the fact that it was a case of Literal Split Personality makes things complicated.
    • People with parents who aren't in the right condition to raise their children (ineffectual, too hands-off, abusive, dead, or missing) are depressingly more common in the Pantheon than one would think. That was the case with Totori, who had a mostly ineffectual father, and a missing mother presumed dead before she eventually came back home after spending years in recovery. As such, it was up to her elder sister Cecilia "Ceci" to serve as parental substitute. Other kids who had such sustitutes are Lilo Pelekai (rasied by her sister Nani), Akane Isshiki (raised by her younger sister Momo), Mokuba Kaiba (raised by fellow adopted brother Seto), Jun Manjoume (raised by abusive brothers), and Yuma Tsukumo (raised by his sister Akari once their parents vanished). With the exceptions of the Kaibas and Manjoume (though is neutral with Mokuba as long as the subject of Seto's behavior isn't brought up), Totori gets along with all of them.

  • Exclusive to Meruru:
    • For the record, her nickname is pronounced "May-roo-roo", not "Mer-roo-roo". As a proactive princess who acts on behalf of her kingdom, she finds that she isn't alone in that regard and that there are plenty such examples in the Pantheon. Even though she's technically not a princess anymore, she made several acquaintances in the House of Royalty and out, proactive and otherwise, such as Aragorn, Zelda, Arthur Pendragon, his Distaff Counterpart Artoria, Alistair Theirin, Princess Cadance (and her husband Shining Armor), Ortfine Fredericka von Eylstadt, T'Challa, and the Disney Princesses. Princess Bubblegum also became acquainted with the Alchemists through Meruru, though they did starting off on the wrong foot when the candy elemental thought their alchemy was magic (to which Totori protested it wasn't) and went on her usual tirade about it. But when she heard that it might actually be some unexplained alien tech, Bonnibel immediately changed her tune, and is considering learning what she can from this art as well. Not all encounters were freidnly however, such as with King Allant, the Queen of Hearts, Aerys II Targaryen, Joffrey Baratheon, Luca Blight, and Ganondorf.
    • In contrast to Rorona only taking pity in mushrooms, Meruru loves them, be it when eating them in her meals or synthesizing them in her recipes. She's become very knowledgeable on them, though did have to learn about the kinds in the Pantheon that don't exist in Arland, but she was a dedicated study. She occasionally hosts mushroom shows, not just to profess her love for them, but also warn of the poisonous kinds. And, of course, she won't take kindly to her mushrooms getting stolen.
      • As it's in the name, Meruru made contact with the denizens of the Mushroom Kingdom and (after promising not to harm the Toads) marveled at the mushrooms they did have, and wonders if she can improve on the ones the Mario Bros. use with Alchemy. The Toads weren't the only sentient mushrooms she had to come to terms with existing; Parasect, Breloom, Amoonguss and Shiinotic soon entered that list, and her encounters with the latter two were less pleasant than the former two due to their general trickery. Of course, her association with the Mario Bros has made her a target of Bowser for attacks or even abduction, even if she's not a princess anymore.
    • Just how great is her love of mushrooms? She once wanted to make a giant walking (or even just stationary) mushroom that can scatter its spores all over to spawn more mushrooms (despite the whole thing with the Ent back in her apprentice days that she wanted to stop due to its presence putting her people on edge every time it gets close), but Lulua thankfully violently talked her out of that idea. And then scathing words from Joel and Ellie, whose world was essentially ravaged by mushroom infections on humans, terrified the former princess out of ever considering that notion. Speaking of that Ent, she was on edge again when she heard there were a few in the Pantheon already, but after sighting Treebeard and Rooftrellen, she just sighed in relief as the Ent she tangled with was much, much bigger than even them. And then she started to worry what they—especially Treebeard, after hearing of his kind's retaliation on Isengard—might think of what she did to the one in Arls, and keeps away. She also has a hard time trusting Lizard Folk, since her kingdom had been threatened by them, and has taken out her fair share of them during her time as an alchemist apprentice.
    • As someone who wanted to rebel from her old established lifestyle, only to then accept her role after some self-reflection (plus realizing what she wanted to learn—Alchemy—can help with that role), with the exception of that last bit, part of Meruru's character arc is just like Yukiko Amagi in that regard. One can also consider Bridget to be the same, though in terms of gender identity, which is kind of a new concept to think of. Meruru recognizes the value of defensive structures such as outposts, and that it's okay for them to be more better-designed than one's own castle. After all, they're the first line that invaders have to tend to first, and it's meant to keep the citizens safe, and doesn't understand the vain types who prioritize their own "houses" over their "walls".

  • Exclusive to Lulua:
    • When she was asked questions of Rorona's teenage pregnancy, Lulua reminds that she was adopted, 2 years before she acquired the Alchemyriddle. Rorona's reason for adopting Lulua is because when the alchemist visited Arklys, Lulua was so kind to her and talked about all sorts of things, and she thought they would have all sorts of fun if they were together, nothing ulterior or grand. On a different note, her birthday is on what is Valentines Day on Earth, although it's not known if her world has that holiday. And ever since Lulua turned in a few almost used-up items while fulfilling a request, having done the same back in her world, all requests sent to the Pantheonic Soldiers of Fortune since then now have to specify "unused", "fresh", or similar terms to prevent the same stunt being pulled ever again. Lulua herself was also reprimanded for that stunt and she has profusely apologized for it.
    • Once attempted to speak to a particular Slime in "Puni" language, just like she had before. This Slime, Rimuru Tempest, quickly revealed that she can speak to her just fine, much to her embarrassment. Lulua tried the same with the ones in the Far Far Range, but has found them to be rather simple-minded (even if a few of them are able to set up an "online account" to buy chickens to eat). Having had to deal with a workaholic Father Benon before at the orphanage she grew up in, Lulua prescribes to the incapacitating method to deal with such people. If she can't do that, she resorts to stern reminders of sleep and healthy eating.
    • Due to having been told what they are by her pirate friend Nicodemus "Nico" David Dieter, Lulua believes true pirates are all about escorting ships, fishing, and keeping the waters clean, and thinks those that plunder or hunt for treasure are impostors sullying their good name. As such, she gets along with the likes of the Straw Hat Pirates and the Turners, really has problems with Captain Jack Sparrow after he tried to pilfer a few things from her, is naturally enemies with mailicious pirates like Black Manta and Long John Silver (even his nicer cyborg iteration), and has clashed with Peter Pan whenever he messes with pirates she trusts.
    • (heavily resembles Emilia)
    • Among the things Lulua can concoct, she can make Eraezyko Charms (shaped like ofudas) for banishing ghosts from an area if magical attacks aren't permanently cutting it. That said, if she has to banish one, she wants to know their story before going in blind; if a peaceful method is preferable, she'll take that option. She can also make medicines that can curb Big Eater tendencies, return them if they were curbed by the former, and a "super-special" Tonic that increases the Quality of items in an area that she can gather for a limited time.
    • Will not stand for buying items just to destroy them to deny its use by anyone else, just as Mimi has with Pure Truffles (Meruru once made a dish with that ingredient that causes the eater to abandon all pretense and deception and be perfectly honest about their feelings, and had no effect on her since she's already honest with herself. When the tsundere Mimi had that dish, she started to get very emotional and longing for more intimate moments with Totori, including sleeping in the same bed as her and bathing with her. After Mimi discovered what she had been saying, she went absolutely to pieces about it, and made Meruru swear she'd never cook with Pure Truffles again or reveal what she said.)
    • Despite coming from a time period bereft of much futuristic technology (although a few do inexplicably exist), Lulua doesn't really express shock or any strong reactions over any sort of Robotic Reveal, not even her first time when Stia revealed her status. As such, she's confused with anybody who invoke Just a Machine for any reason, and opposes those with prejudice against robots who use that reason against them.
    • With Café Leblanc no longer present, Lulua being a provider of curry has drawn much of those customers to her, like Rock Lee, Arle Nadja, Usalia, Daita Oiwa, Asbel Lhant, Presea Combatir, Yotsuba Koiwai, Minako Aino, Lan Hikari, Reaper's Game participant Beat, and the Kosugis (Lemeza in particular), and she quickly became friends with all of them. Ren Amamiya and Futaba Sakura have also checked out the place, and while they can tell that Lulua's recipes are incredible (albeit with some oddities), Ren resolutely claims that none of them can compare to Sojiro's recipe, and no, he will not share it. However, Lulua did eventually learn about the Metaverse, and now she's intrigued with what sorts of materials can be found there. Too bad they're very (justifiably) cagey with letting just about anyone in, so she will have to settle with secondhand acquisition by buying their acquired materials and seeing what can be made from them.
    • Being helped by one's past self via Alechemyriddle is pushing it, but actively aspiring to change the fates of Stias from multiple alternate timelines just about crossed the line in the eyes of the Dahaka, even if she didn't alter anyone's pasts, just "fixed" what's already happened there in the present. However, Barbatos sees her pursuit as full counter to his Dark Multiverse, and her use of The Time Brooch meant plenty of the Arland timelines are now consistent in one particular event, even if things can still end badly further down the line. And with the True Dragon Hourglass to traverse alternate timelines and the Time Brooch to "lock in" those results entering the rumor mill, Lulua has found herself been targeted by many nefarious folks who wish to alter their pasts (not knowing it won't change their present, but some might think helping their past selves win in at least one timeline or as many as possible is enough for them), and the Pantheonic Time Police have stepped in to make sure that Lulua completely and undeniably understands the gravity of her situation. Thankfully for the PTP, Lulua does understand, at least enough that she doesn't go visiting the alternate world's residents further than Alt Lulua's atelier and the other Fellsgalaxen. And technically speaking, she just undid the fate of Alternate Stia that was already done, rather than averting her own timeline's Stia's fate. Besides, from what Rorona relayed to her, even if one changes the past, it won't change their present, only create another branch of reality. Just like in the events of Avengers: Endgame, turns out.

@aa: These sentences are weird:

One of the first groups to greet the Zoombinis were The Smurfs. The latter shares the strife of adventuring

I think it would read better if it said "they both" instead of "the latter", and are you sure that "strife" is the right word?

[up] Well, I am saying that if anyone wants to offer up a proposal for Gracia's reascension, go ahead. If not, I'll probably just save her for now until either someone does want her or I get through with making Phosphophyllite's profile.

In the meantime, Kasen has 4 [tup]. One more?

For Cell, as a last minute suggestion, maybe something with Kermit the Frog, as a nod to the Devil Artemis series.

Alright, while I wait for Kasen's eventual 5 [tup] approval, it's time to try something absolutely different. Let's see how this goes...

Sky Striker Ace - Raye, Goddess of Intertwining Game & Story Elements as a potential Demigod for the Hall of Narrative Tone (House of Narrative).

Now, why Raye? Well, the Sky Striker archetype is one of the most popular series of cards in modern Yu-Gi-Oh, so much so that an official manga that tells the stories of the cards in more detail features them as their first story. Not only does the mange do a great job at showcasing the many cards of the Sky Striker archetype in a different medium, the thematics of the cards in both their functions and and art direction tell just as much of a story as does the official manga. ne example of this is how most of the Sky Striker spells needing you to not control any monsters in the Main Monster Zone, leaving you with one other place to have a monster: The Extra Monster Zone, where a Sky Striker Link Monster would be in, made by either using Raye as material or by Raye's own effect, representing her as a One-Man Army with a powerful arsenal backing her up, similar to characters like Tony Stark.

[up] Here's your last [tup] for Kasen and an approving [tup] for Sky Striker.

@nightelf — Here's your [tup] for the Atelier girls. Just make sure you delete any green texts as I feel they wouldn't really matter.

@RJ — Not gonna consider going ahead with Sarcasm Mode as I feel that trope is too universal and broad to really get down on who would make a suitable candidate for it in the Pantheon and Deliberately Bad Example is already taken by Zhao.

@DoodSlayer136 - Whispy Woods

  • Maybe check both House of Plants and its subhouses for fellow plants and living trees. I would suggest Cagney Carnation (who is a plant-based boss) and the Piranha Plants.

This is probably my fastest turnaround since the Star. I would like to acknowledge @CrownlessMimic, even thought I think your suggestion is neat, I sadly wasn't able to think of a way to organically add this to the profile.

Just please let me know if there's any errors, OOC moments or other feedbacks.

  • Many religions and mythologies have a tale of the first human beings, meant to be the progenitors of the human race. The most famous original people are Adam and Eve; molded by God from the ground and Eve from Adam's rib. The story goes that they were once innocent but were tempted to eat from the Tree of Knowledge by a crafty snake. They were told not to do so, and while how much of this can be considered an "original sin" varies on religious beliefs the fact was God was angered and banished them from their idyllic Garden of Eden. They would know mortality and hardship, though despite everything managed to be the progenitors to all mankind and civilization.
    • The Adam and Eve of the Pantheon are not specifically the Biblical versions; unlike their sons Cain and Abel who are composite deities, their current avatar is of perhaps their strongest and most heroic forms; the ones from Record of Ragnarok. In a divine fighting tournament called Ragnarok, which would determine whether mankind should continue to exist, the valkyrie Brunhilde had chosen thirteen notable humans in history to represent and participate in matches against the Gods. One of them is Adam, the first man designed in the image of God, a very skilled brawler with godly amounts of strength, speed, and stamina, and the ability to copy the moves of others just by looking at them. He's specifically chosen by Brunhilde not only because he's "The Father of Humanity" but also thinks his hatred against the Gods would give him a reason to join this tournament. His wife Eve, the first woman, and his two sons spectate his match against this world's version of Zeus.
    • The two opponents fought valiantly in the arena. Adam dodged every lightning-fast attack Zeus throws at him while in turn delivering copies of the powerful attacks Zeus had thrown at him. But just as it looks like Zeus is down for the count, he manages to outlive Adam's counterattacks. Wanting to understand him better, Zeus asked him the real reason why he came to fight the Gods as he doesn't detect any hatred in his eyes. Adam states it's not because of any hatred or revenge; and that he doesn't need a reason to protect his children, Humanity. This response emotionally moved all humans who were spectating and all came together praying that their father wins. Continuing the fight, Zeus changes into a much more powerful form out of desperation. Adam continues to dodge and trade attacks until suddenly he starts to bleed; he's overheating and nearly reaching his physical limits. He was later blinded by Zeus' blood, allowing Zeus to deliver his first hit. Unable to see, he grabs onto Zeus' hair and the two fighters continue to exchange blows. Eventually, Adam was able to land the final blow on Zeus, but Adam's body gave up; he died standing up with a smile on his face. His body and soul crumble into dust, never to be saved, recovered, or reborn again. Humanity, while suffering a loss this round, saw hope in his death they realized they have a chance to fight against the Gods.
  • In General:
    • Although our Adam died in his realm, his soul never reached the Pantheon as it crumbled to dust and spread across the vastness of space. This was noticed by the human deities who were also spectating the match, as well as the first ascended Biblical Adam, the composite depictions of Adam from other worlds. Saddened by the loss of his fallen brethren, this Adam seeks aid from the powerful wish-granting deities in the Pantheon to somehow resurrect his soul again. These deities agreed to his request, with one added caveat that he would cease to exist for the fallen Adam to take his place and title of Being The First Human. He agreed to these conditions, split himself into his various depictions, and descended to become his followers instead. His wife Eve, who is also a composite deity, did the same in solidarity with her descended husband. The wish-granting deities used their powers to gather and put back the pieces of his soul and the fallen Adam ascended into the Pantheon.
      • Our Adam finds himself standing in a strange temple hall, with his sight restored and his body free of any injuries. He was happily greeted by his sons Cain and Abel (in the form their father recognizes), who told him of the circumstances that lead to his resurrection, and a briefing about deification (which our Adam seemingly took the information quite calmly). They later took him to the Court of Gods so that they were made aware of our Adam's presence and hopefully ascend his realm's Eve to share his title with her. The Court accepted his request and our Eve is magically summoned into the courtroom. Upon seeing our Adam, our Eve cried rivers of joyful tears and rushed to hug him; Adam only smiles after seeing his wife again. After the court meeting had ended, the couple returned to their temple, with normal farmland on one side and a beautiful garden on the other that resembles the Garden of Eden.
    • Adam, Eve, and their children have been spectating the remaining matches of Ragnarok from the Pantheon and still rooting for their remaining teammates to succeed. Seeing as some of them are made up of various historical figures, it was evitable they would meet other Champions and their respective main versions. The couple is mostly on good terms with infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper in his RoR!form, less because he's still a crazed murderer and more because Adam respects his skills and wit in the arena; Jack's giddy to see a similar glow of aura from Adam as he would with his opponent Hercules but is not stupid enough to piss off his teammate or target his wife as much as he wants to. As for Jack's other incarnations, they try not to be on bad terms with Adam or make Eve sad, for they too respect Adam and/or fear what Adam might do to them if they are not careful. Adam is also watching Nikola Tesla's match but has not met him at this point; the regular!Tesla, who is also watching his other incarnation's match, was a bit starstruck to meet the First Man and decided to befriend him for now.
    • Despite not being the exact Adam and Eve from the Bible, it's heavily implied that other Christian figures exist in our Adam and Eve's realm. As such, Adam's direct descendants Noah and Moses, the two Saints George and Saint Martha who admires them, and Archangel Michael, all have been very loyal allies of the couple. It gets a bit awkward when it comes to the Abrahamic Gods in the Pantheon; it's never stated which specific God is responsible for creating our Adam and it's implied that multiple Gods have made him. Regardless, those Abrahamic Gods felt a special connection with Adam and Eve as if they are seeing their own creation before them. Adam doesn't really care about any of them as he's no longer affiliated with the Top Gods. The only one who is antagonistic to Adam is YHVH, who views him as a disobedient, rebellious mortal being much worse and more dangerous that the Adam he created back in his world.
    • To elaborate on Adam's abilities: Although his copy ability, Divine Reflection, is very powerful, it does have its limits; overuse of this ability may result in him overheating until he bleeding out of his nose, eyes, and ears, which runs the risk of becoming blind, rendering his Divine Reflection useless. Thankfully, he now lives in a world where blindness can be treated after a fight and Death Is Cheap but he still needs to be careful that he won't reach his limits early and cause him to lose his sight mid-battle. He also has a Knuckleduster, a Divine Weapon provided by the 7th Valkyrie Reginleif and it's designed to harm godly beings. As their souls were linked when she created the weapon (which resulted in her dying with Adam upon his death), Reginleif was also revived upon the resurrection of the first man; she now serves as Adam's Herald and is willing to transform into his Knuckleduster again in more dire situations. It's unknown if Eve also possesses the same abilities as her husband, and if she has, it's known that she's less likely to resort to fighting and would try to escape to safety when danger comes.
    • RoR!Zeus was ecstatic to see his former opponent again as the thought of fighting after many millennia excites him; his other incarnations' reaction to Adam range from respect to indifference to being offended at the idea that someone as powerful as him was nearly beaten by a mere human and that they wish to fight him too to prove their superiority. Disney!Zeus is more conflicted with regard to Adam as while he's more benevolent than his other incarnations and admires Adam's strength, he finds it a bit awkward befriending his other incarnation's former rival, who doesn't care for him. Other Greek Gods, whether from his realm or other realms, look down on Adam like every other mortal (except Aphrodite who fancies him), while the rest of the Top Gods from other religions view him with indifference. As Adam is confirmed to have no hatred against the Gods, he would rather leave them alone and decline any potential matches for now for the sake of Eve and his children, who worry about his safety ever since the end of his match.
    • Adam is respected by most heroes who fight for humanity's sake and the couple has expressed their support towards those heroes too. Seeing his potential, both Nick Furys have approached the First Man to discuss the possibility of him joining the Avengers. Adam declined to decline the offer for now since Eve worries that Adam going into such missions might put him in harm again; they remained on good terms though due to their mutual desire to protect humanity. They've also met other Marvel humans like Stephen Strange and Steve Rogers, and aliens like Silver Surfer and Uatu the Watcher, who are also avid defenders of humanity. Meeting Steve Rogers leads him to meet the other Paragons of Hope, heroes who are the beacons of hope for many people much like Adam was before and after his death.
      • Adam planned to be the de-facto head of the Order of Humanity, given he and Eve are the progenitors of all humanity. The Emperor of Mankind appreciates their support, however as a staunch atheist, he considers them mythological (which is a weird mindset to have in a realm where Gods are real). Some say the real reason he couldn't allow them to lead is that he feels threatened by the idea that the "Image of God" would be leading humanity and that their presence may have his authority ignored. The couple, meanwhile, disagreed with some of his more amoral actions. The two are much closer to X and the Winchester brothers. The latter is confirmed to be descended from them, and are always on Team Human. The former could be considered the Adam of Reploids and is trying to create a world where humans and Reploids can live in harmony. Due to their originator status, the Life Entity considers Adam and Eve to be rather valuable but the couple has declined the opportunity to use the White Lantern Rings as of this moment.
    • As Adam fought to protect humanity with Eve supporting him, any villains who wish to destroy humans for any reason can get on their bad side. By extension, the GUAD, who wishes to destroy everything along with humanity, is also at the top of their shit list. Any reasoning that paints humans in a bad light and therefore a valid reason for extermination wouldn't cut with them due to the unconditional love they have for their "children". They also really don't like Yuu for attempting to replicate their role at the cost of everyone else, or those who would Restart the World. Finally, don't use either Adam or Eve as an excuse for misandry or misogyny; it pisses them off.
    • Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight fought to restore the Human Order, which prevents humanity's extinction and preserves Proper Human History from being rewritten by the Lostbelts, the timelines where humanity does not progress as it should. The two wondered about the similarities and differences between Adam and Eve's timelines and theirs as both timelines involve notable people from history fighting against each other to save humanity (although the methods of summoning the fighters are different). Adam and Eve were wondering the same thing, especially after a brief meeting with Qin Shi Huang, who acted differently from The First Emperor of China they were spectating from their world. When the two parties met, they befriended each other due to their similar goals of protecting humanity and have remained on good terms with each other ever since.
    • Given that they are not only the Father and Mother of Humanity but also good parents for their own children, they made an honored guest in the House of Family and Relatives. They were loved by all human deities, who view them as if they were their own father/relative, especially after Adam declared that he was fighting for their own sake too. That said, as the first parents, they disapprove of the Child Abuse Supporters while approving of the Heroic Protectors of Family. They don't really hold deep hatred against The Child Abuse Supporters, they just think they could do better.
    • Adam once gave up living in paradise so that he can live with Eve after she was banished by the Gods. The House of Love and Affection was moved by the couple's story that they were also made a Guest of Honor in that house. In general, the couple seems to be in a happy loving relationship. EpicLloyd & NicePeter, who make rap battles between different deities, once considered asking the couple to play themselves for their upcoming Adam vs Eve battle but cannot cast them as later found that they were ill-fitted to play the part of a bickering couple convincingly. As a result, Lloyd played Adam's part and Jenna Marbles played Eve's part. Adam and Eve were able to grant the duo permission to use their likeness for this rap battle, and reports said they were good sports about the whole thing.
    • Eve was confused at first when she learned of the existence of Lilith, Adam's alleged first and former wife. She confronted Adam about this and confirmed that he hasn't met or seen Lilith at all. That doesn't stop the two versions of Liliths from stalking her husband near their temple and making Eve upset. The couple decided to file a restraining order against the two Liliths and Adam even threatens to fight them both should they make Eve upset again. Still, Eve took pity on the Liliths given that they too were once banished from paradise for petty reasons (Wanting to top Adam for Regular!Lilith, Her desire to have humans and demons co-exist for SMT!Lilith).
    • The two are on poor terms with a number of devil figures, given that in some religious circles, the serpent who tricked them into eating from the Tree of Knowledge is usually considered to be Satan. The Serpent they know framed Eve for eating the forbidden fruit because she refused to have sex with him which can be considered as a Satanic analog. The various Demons in the Pantheon don't really care about the two at the moment. Even if they have plans for them, the Demons still have to be content with their allies, and Adam's fighting skills might give them more trouble than it's worth. The only demon they have come to respect is Sparda, an ancient demon who fought against his kind, defeated them, and then sealed them away for humanity, who he had come to love. Sparda and his herald wife Eva are pretty much the only reason why they make trips to the Hall of Demons so that the two couples can have double dates.
    • The two prefer not to get into philosophical and theological arguments, and they don't like when their "children" squabble over religious arguments. They still love their actual children, Cain and Abel, who already ascended before them. However given his status as The Exile and having committed fratricide, his relationship with his parents has become rather rocky. However, Cain and Abel love their parents strongly enough that they are capable of being peaceful with one another in the presence of their parents. SCP-073 was happy to finally meet up back with his parents (or at least a version of them), however, it has been done under strict monitoring by the SCP Foundation and what happened there has been [REDACTED]. Since 073 is still Cain, his parent treated him as if he were their actual kin too.
    • Adam gets a headache near Dr Clef as he claims to be significant to Adam in many ways. Dr. Clef is either another version of Adam, Satan, or the guardian angel who kicked biblical Adam out of the Garden of Eden. The SCP Foundation suspects he is one Reality Warper known as Adam El Ansem associated with SCP-2932. After verifying that this wasn't the Adam from their world, the Foundation continues to monitor him in case our Adam somehow manifests any extra abilities. Adam doesn't understand why Arael and Ramiel consider him their father as he's not an angel. And he's not attached to Gendo Ikari's hand. He and Eve discovered they are capable of using the Rock of the Ages, Sisyphus' boulder, but prefer not to question when they start acting like Pokemon whenever they are near that rock thing.
  • Exclusive to Eve:
    • Eve once lived a peaceful life in the Garden of Eden until she was accused of eating the Apples from the Tree of Knowledge, or so The Serpent claimed. In truth, the Serpent tried to take Eve for himself, but she remained faithful to Adam and escaped from his clutches. In revenge, The Serpent bit the forbidden fruit and framed Eve for the crime. She was taken to the court of the Gods and was judged unfairly since the court was made up of Gods that have a bias against humans. After they have given their verdict, they sentenced her to be banished from paradise, a sentence Adam didn't take well since he knew the truth. Adam showed his loyalty to his wife by forcing his way into the courtroom and consuming several apples from the Tree of Knowledge in front of the gods. Adam offered to join Eve and the two walked away to make a new paradise for themselves. Eve and her children would later cheer during Adam's match and cried for the safety of her husband as he was closer to his limits. After the death of her beloved husband, while still mourning, she remained prideful for the hope her husband gave to her and their children.
    • Her story has attracted a slew of defense attorneys, who pity her for being screwed over by her realm's divine justice system. Although the Pantheonic justice system is much fairer (plus she's not the type to ever need a lawyer due to her kindness), she was still advised to get a lawyer just in case she ever gets framed again. She had trouble choosing between Finch, Wright, and Mason, three of the most skilled defense attorneys who highly value justice, until deciding to choose all of them as her allies instead. On a related note, she was initially worried about Naofumi Iwatani and Tom Robinson after hearing their stories about their attempted rape cases, considering Eve's own experiences with The Serpent who almost took advantage of her. Turns out, they were also falsely accused of these crimes and were publicly shunned by the public for them. When she realized the truth, she tried to personally meet them to apologize for her misunderstanding; two don't mind that much as false rumors are hard to combat and they even voiced their own sympathies for what happened to her.
    • Eve finds herself befriending various wives of other powerful fighters; Chi-Chi, Bulma, and Hinata are three examples of such women. While they are not that worried when it comes to their husbands getting into trouble as they have faith they would come back, they understand Eve's worries about her husband considering Adam had already died once because he insist to continue the match and pushing himself. Talking to them helped Eve have more faith in her husband taking care of himself. On that note, they also have been teaching her some basic self-defense skills considering Chi-Chi and Hinata are skilled fighters in their own right.
    • No... You're wrong... I swear upon the gods, I didn't eat the Apple!
  • Exclusive to Adam:
    • In the distant past, Adam lived peacefully with the animals in the Garden of Eden. This all ended when his wife Eve was accused of eating the Apples from the Tree of Knowledge (as The Serpent claimed to see her taking the fruit from the tree) and was banished from paradise by the court of the Gods. In an act of defiance, he would later show up to the court at Eve's trial with baskets full of the forbidden fruits, biting and spitting them out as he finds them sour. He then approaches Eve and tells her that if she leaves paradise, then he will leave with her. Enraged, The Serpent tried to attack Adam, only for Adam to copy his attacks against him. He was told by two birds who saw what happened that The Serpent made Eve cry. After the Serpent was killed, the couple walked away to descend to the Earth and raise their two children. He would later participate in the battle against the Gods, where he would die a hero's death.
    • The closest deities with skills that resemble his copy abilities are Taskmaster and Batgirl/Cassandra Cain, who can read and copy the fighting style of their opponents by sight. Taskmaster already descended as of this writing and Adam is in no hurry to get to know him one day; Cassandra briefly meets the First Man in the hope of getting fighting tips from him. Other deities with copy abilities include: Rouge and Kirby can copy the powers of others by touching or inhaling their opponents respectively. Mega Man can also copy the abilities of Robot Masters after defeating them but cannot copy human opponents. They all met due to many deities pointing out their similarities and they've remained on good terms with each other. On a similar note, since Adam was given charge over the beasts of the Earth in the Bible (that RoR!Adam is friendly to all animals), he is often involved in the Beast Handlers sub-house. He's also on good terms with many animal and animal-loving deities too due to his ability to understand animal speech.
    • Although Eve asked for Adam to stop fighting for a while, that did not stop Adam from meeting and sparring with deities who participate in divine fighting tournaments or those who fought against gods. Among those deities is Goku who once fought the God of Destruction Beerus; as a guy who is always looking for a challenging fight Goku offers Adam to spar with him in his free time. The mortal Kombatants of the various Realms also have fought against Gods before; he's met and had become closer to the Kombatants from Earthrealm and even its former Protector, the God of Thunder Raiden. While the two fought and Raiden got a Fatality from Adam, Raiden hold no grudge against the First Man. They grew to respect each other after Adam believe Raiden's intentions to protect Earthrealm were genuine, which happened shortly after a god from Adam's world choose to protect humanity as well.
    • "Hatred?" "Revenge?" I don't need any of that. There is no reason why. Is there any man that needs a reason to protect his own children?

Okay, now that I no longer have a need to fill out the SMT protagonists given the purge of the poor profiles years ago, do you think I can still nominate Tadano Hitonari, the protag in SMT: Strange Journey, for Alignment-Based Endings, if I haven't done so already?

I still don't think Kazuya of SMT I fits since one of his endings becomes canon (and yet Cutting Off the Branches can easily go to someone else).

Aleph of SMT II I feel has sort-of-samey endings since they all end the same way; kill YHVH (I'm probably generalizing here).

The Demi-Fiend is getting either Bonus Boss or Super Boss.

Flynn's already in the Pantheon (and may need a rework, given he's not fundraising for security for the Yamato Perpetual Reactor anymore since it no longer exists in the Treasury) publicly, at least, just like the Kong Banana Hoard.

Nanashi of SMT IV Apocalypse only has two endings (for the record, Phantom Fire has the entire party in mind for Story Branch Favoritism, and I'm inclined to agree).

And the Nahobino of SMT V seems to have varying "good" endings, and I'm sure some other tropes are better for him.

No, I do not think assigning all of them the trope would be a good idea.
