Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

What's the issue with bottom-posting again? I forget.

Freudian Excuse: Not one person is entirely good or evil; something will have to have happened in the past to make them what they are today.

[up] I guess some people are hesitant to bottom post as they believe that their post will be ignored, hence filler posts like "I am Groot".

  • Pitied by/Pities:
  • Opposes: Tezcatlipoca (Totori), All non-good pirates, Peter Pan (Lulua)
  • Conflicting Opinion:
  • When it comes to the game mechanic of Item Crafting, where you merge certain items and maybe do a little more extra to create a new item, the Atelier series is what popularized it in JRPGs, and its games are built around this mechanic. But because the first series aren't available outside of Japan, and because the Mana-Khemia spinoff duology and Iris trilogy don't have as much focus on the Item Crafting part, the Arland quadrilogy was explored instead, and its main characters were selected to represent the franchise. It also helped that someone wanted to ascend Rorona Frixell to represent Pies at the House of Food, but then it was decided to also ascend select people down the Master-Apprentice Chain. But let's get to who they are first.
    • The first is Rorona Frixell, an apprentice alchemist born in the capital of the Arland Kingdom. One day, a knight nicknamed Sterk delivers a message from the government: due to the recent advancements in steam technology, they will no longer support the art of alchemy and have made plans to shut her workshop down. The only way that Rorona can change their mind is by carrying out a series of tasks over the next three years designed to prove that alchemy can still be relevant in modern day life. With her alchemy teacher Astrid being too lazy and apathetic to care, it falls to Rorona to develop her alchemy skills and save her workshop from closure.
    • Eight years after Rorona's tale, the second is Totori Helmold, a young adventurer from Alanya Village who is travelling across Arland (which has since become a Republic) on a grand quest to discover what happened to her Missing Mom. Having been taught the art of alchemy by Rorona, Totori slowly develops her skills as an alchemist to aid others and her own journey, with the goal of becoming a famous adventurer firm in her mind. She eventually learns what happened to her mother Gisela; she had gone out at sea to take on the Flauschtraut terrorizing it, but failed to slay it, though she managed to deal enough damage to it for her daughter's party to finish the job years later. However, her ship ended up wrecked and she was left stranded in another continent across the sea and at a snowy village. She then proceeded to have a crack at the Devil King that was causing mass destruction to the north that required sacrifices from the village to be appeased, only to just end up tying twice against it, and passing away from illness/injuries and being buried at her ship at her request. Totori would eventually finish what her mother couldn't and put a stop to the Devil King.
    • Five years after Totori's tale, the third is Meruru Rede Arls, the Rebellious Princess of Arls, a small kingdom located in the northwest of the Arland Republic. Bored with palace life, she impulsively decides to become an alchemist under the tutelage of Totori. This does not sit well with her father Dessier and royal retainer Rufus given tragedy befell Meruru's aunt Sofraneis Yerx Arls as a result of following a path of adventuring (plus alchemy) alongside Dessier and Ludwig Giovanni Arland prior to their reigns as kings, when she tried to develop the wasteland around the volcano Mt. Velus. Specifically, she had to put to sleep a demon in the volcano that would've turned Arls into a wasteland, so they propose a deal: if Meruru can prove that her interest in alchemy is not just a passing fad by improving her skills and using them to develop Arls into a thriving kingdom over three years just as Aunt Sofra had with her adventuring before she died, then she will be permitted to complete her training. And just like Totori before her, Meruru would eventually finish what her parent('s sibling) couldn't and put a stop to the Firedrake Airshatter. Then, she successfully made Arls a great place before the merger was completed, thus abolishing the royalty. After that, she began to travel the continent at her father's suggestion.
    • And eight years after Meruru's tale, the last in this line is Lulua Frixell, adopted daughter of Rorona, and apprentice of Piana, who was Totori's second apprentice after Meruru, and grew up in a frontier village named Arklys. Though she studies hard to surpass her mother (who actually didn't really teach her alchemy, leaving that to Piana), she doesn't start out particularly talented at the art. And then Lulua finds a strange book which she dubs "Alchemyriddle", which only she can read, and which mysteriously reveals a hint whenever she needs to use alchemy to solve a problem. One day, Lulua receives a letter informing her that her mother's Atelier is about to be shut down due to its license expiring and technically fails to save it, but gets to save it anyway…under her own name instead. In order to save the workshop, Lulua heads towards Arland, which begins a great adventure during which she will learn much about the world and herself. And that includes an actually robot girl named Stia, Fellsgalaxen at risk of collapse and taking Arklys with it, Mana being the same/better kind of robot as Stia, having to choose to sacrifice Stia to save Arklys (and Arland as a whole) or find another way via a Memory Core to temporarily store Stia's memories so they won't be erased, and an alternate timeline and desiring to change the fates of its Lulua and Stia with a Restore Core.
  • It is not known how exactly Rorona's line of alchemists made it to the Pantheon, but it came in the form of separate invitations sent to each of them after Lulua saved both Fellsgalaxen (plus Arklys above it) and Stia, and her efforts to make sure that this fate is consistent in all timelines, as well as an accidental misuse of the True Dragon Hourglass. When they were sent to the Court of the Gods, that's when they realized they were now in the ages (and attire) they were when they just finished their own adventures, and none of them have even taken any Potions of Youth. The Court explained the reason for the alchemists' Ascension, and that it came with the ability to swap to any of their previous appearances (except Lulua, who is the last known one in the chain, though the dress of her Parallel Timeline self is available). Speaking of the Potion of Youth, Rorona also now remembers her time as a kid after using that, and how embarrassing some of those are, even if Lulua wants to hear details.
  • Applies to all or some of them:
    • Their collective temple is named Atelier Arland, since it's the realm all four alchemists resided in, from its status as a kingdom, and to its reformation into a republic. All four alchemists and their Heralds reside and work there, and it takes elements from all the workshops they worked in, but Rorona also has a mobile Atelier that she and Lulua (and Piana) take and travel on. Assisting in item synthesis are the two Homs made by Rorona's master Astrid (one made first to assist Rorona, and the other made much later during Meruru's time), five Chims made by Rorona for Totori, and one of those named Chim Dragon has become something a little more. Totori even uses the Chims for battle by sending one to a foe in a kamikaze run and blow itself up for powerful Fire damage (though the Chims themselves just end up lightly charred yet whole after that). In case anything happens, there's also a repository for making more Chims called a Hom Motel. Unlike Hom, they can only replicate synthesis items and consumables, and require pie as motivation (Chim Dragon still has similar obsessions). While they can certainly be instructed to replicate pies for themselves, it's usually better if their mistress(es) do(es) it instead since their pies usually come out better, and thus further motivate them. However, with certain potions, Totori can "evolve" Chims to be like Chim Dragon.
      • There's also a Pie Shop on the side whenever Rorona is in the mood for making pies, though was demanded to have it open at least once or twice a week. That said, she also makes curry, but only for Lulua, who in turn is considering opening a curry shop on the side as well (and may as well just fuse the two into a single store). Totori is also known to be able to make alcoholic drinks (including variants made with fish) via alchemy (having synthesized them among other things since age 14), though usually doesn't drink even after becoming of age. Naturally, Rorona and Lulua are experts in making their favorite foods (though Lulua can do pies too), be it the traditional way or through alchemy. As for Meruru, while she's a big fan of mushrooms, and can synthesize a number of mushroom-related dishes, she's not nearly as obsessed with making them as Rorona and Lulua are.
    • Regarding Rorona's mobile Atelier, the reason it has no windows and why doing anything extraneous like item synthesis is ill-advised while it's moving is because of how physics is messed with to make it Bigger on the Inside and because the place tends to bounce a lot while traveling, not to mention the wagon potentially collapsing on itself otherwise. At least with the existence of consoles and smartphones in the Pantheon, there's more to do, such as planning what recipes to synthesize once the mobile Atelier stops, taking inventory, talking with people outside the wagon, etc. They have special Containers across their temples and Rorona's mobile atelier that all connect to the same storage space. That said, they've never checked what would happen if two or more Containers have their contents fiddled with at the same time. Totori also has a "secret bag" that connects her Basket to these Containers as well. Lulua has one such "secret bag" too, but it's limited to just sending her entire Basket inventory to her Container.
    • Despite their stories being interlinked, there are memories of Multiple Endings for each of them, though obviously only one of each is canon to make way for the next one.
      • For Rorona, after successfully proving the worth of Alchemy to the rest of Arland's higher-ups given Sterk and Gio already think well of her, and inheriting the workshop from Astrid for good, since she decided to leave for another town to rebuild her reputation, she may have taken a few days to bask in her accumulated wealth and lay off after three years of hard work, opened a pie shop and sold the pies she baked and concocted, ditched the workshop to Hom while she goes on monster-hunting adventures with Cordelia, life continues on without Astrid leaving and doomed to be boring, leaves town anyway to learn more alchemy due to her nonexistent reputation with the populace rendering her workshop non-profitable, either with only Hom, or also with Lionela (and becoming a dancer like her), or also with Tantris, or has become a screw-up in alchemy and has become explosion-prone, though her reputation with the populace allows her to stay anyway (and perhaps either becoming Iksel's screwy assistant in his shop, or end up getting Sterk as her minder). However, the ending that would eventually lead to her taking in Totori as an apprentice would be where she becomes highly influential and busy as the town's alchemist, and maybe either gets Cordelia as her manager after spending far too little time with her, ends up becoming the Royal Alchemist thanks to Gio, the King of Arland, or manages to keep up thanks to her friends, and eventually get an alchemist rival in the form of… her own returning master Astrid.
      • For Totori, after five years of adventuring and proving she's certified for it, she may have continued being so only for her village of Alanya, adventured together with Gino (but with Sterk and Rorona constantly coaching them from behind), adventured together with Melvia (and occasionally visit the village where Gisela passed away), adventured together with Mimi (and become famous enough for their tales to be written in books), adventured with Marc to determine the secrets of the land's Lost Technology (on a giant robot, no less), became an Alchemy co-teacher with Rorona (though Totori ends up getting more attention with the students and inadvertently upstaging her), went to Arland to work with Rorona… and end up arguing over who gets to take Sterk with them on adventures, went overboard with making Chims (over the maximum 5 she can make in-game) that they eventually replace the adventurer system at Arland, or ended up opening an Alchemy Restaurant under her name with Gerhard, Iksel, Ceci, and Rorona. However, the ending that would eventually lead to her taking in Meruru as an apprentice would be where it turns out Gisela survived after all thanks to help from Astrid, but had to recover for eight years before she was finally able to come home, and then a year later the Arland Republic decided to send Totori to the Arls Kingdom to help develop it with alchemy.
      • For Meruru, after five years of developing Arls before their merge with the Arland Republic, and thus ceasing to be a princess, she may have failed to rise in fame and became lethargic for a while before deciding to find a new goal, moved to a new atelier where she's super busy, became overburdened by all the development and synthesis requests that she decided to help Rufus with his job instead, raised Arls to become highly specialized in agriculture to the point of getting a new local delicacy thanks in part to her alchemy, raised Arls to become a tourist getaway thanks to a hot spring Peter found, became so charismatic that her own master Totori and Mimi vie for her attention, became a frontliner in the defense of Arls's borders, even if she's a reckless planner, became a confident, powerful, and successful adventurer with Keina by her side, witnessed Rorona restored… to 14 years of age when she first started her rise in alchemy, or witnessed Astrid reforge the Potion of Youth thanks to Meruru's work to be able to adjust all the alchemists before Meruru to 14 and have a tea party. However, the ending that would eventually lead to Rorona returning to her normal age (and therefore able to adopt Lulua in the future) would be where Astrid challenges Meruru to further perfect the antidote to the Potion of Youth by synthesizing the True Potion of Youth, and Meruru succeeding exceptionally well enough for Astrid to follow through on her promise.
      • And for Lulua, even without any sequel to require one to be rendered canon, there are also multiple ways her story reaches its conclusion in the eyes of the player. She may have failed to find a way to save Stia, and sent her Alchemyriddle back in time to another Lulua in the past just like the Lulua before her, settled down in Arklys to run her own atelier with Stia by her side, supported Eva with running the orphanage they both lived in while still running her atelier, traveled with Aurel as they honed their prowess in battle together, even if they quibble as he teaches her swordplay, traveled together with Piana in their wagon Atelier, teaching alchemy wherever they went, traveled together with Ficus as street performers and seeking to aid young minds with potential for growth, joined Niko's exploratory fleet in his mission to discover new trading routes to the Eastern Continent, bid farewell to Rorona and Sterk as they departed from Arland to explore the Eastern Continent (which may have happened anyway no matter what), or opened her own curry shop with the help of Stia, Chim Dragon, and Piana, even as her non-curry alchemy requests declined. However, what is considered the Golden Ending is where her skills started to rival her mother's, and she decided to depart from Arklys with Stia to further her craft even more.
    • As alchemists who partake in combat sometimes, item use is their main method of doing that, besides their staffs, which double as stirring implements for their Alchemy work. They are as follows, which include bombs, Beast Statues, cannons that shoot balls of magical power, ice bombs that can make impromptu frozen bridges over water, Air Drops that enable temporary underwater breathing, and other healing items. There's even a Tera Bomb that can risk one-shotting everybody on foot without the proper attributes like "Narrow Range +3". More of their attack items can be seen in the following links.
      • Out of the four, Meruru is most competent in terms of physical attack via staff. Naturally, she's still more suited as an item caddy in a party without plenty of fellow Arland alchemists. That said, by the time of Lulua's adventure, Meruru has switched to using a sword (and Totori switched to an Alchemy-made book that can summon whatever she needs to synthesize something). Lulua herself also has a pickaxe crafted with alchemy, though only for busting stone and mineral obstacles. And given all the things they cart around and the explosives they throw, all four alchemists are deceptively strong, with Lulua even able to beat a seasoned veteran knight (who's survived hits from dragons and is himself a legend above Rorona's level) in an arm-wrestling match (though he was holding back the first time, and can possibly trounce her in subsequent matches). Lulua even tanked a cannon shot ''point blank'' with barely a scratch while she was trying to convince her friend to have some extra-special Philosopher's Curry.
    • Despite looking like a simple task of mixing stuff in a cauldron, there is more to "Arland Alchemy" than that, thus why it's actually quite difficult to teach. And there are implications that this method of Alchemy might actually be some sort of alien technology. Rorona is considering once more the prospect of teaching her method of alchemy, with the young earth pony Apple Bloom as her first student in the Pantheon. Totori already took steps to establishing an Alchemy Classroom just like before during Lulua's time at the old Atelier Rorona, though it's not known if she already got Rorona's permission to do it back then, or if she would've gotten approval anyway as Totori's just about the last person on the planet Rorona would ever say "No" to. Between the four, only the first two have actual experiences with apprentices, and Totori's the much better one between them (apparently, it makes much more sense to those with natural intuition for alchemy, which is how Totori learned anything at all to teach others later, while Rorona struggles to even teach Lulua how to synthesize Pie as opposed to baking it). Meruru isn't suited to teaching, hence why the Master-Apprentice Chain didn't continue with her, but she's getting better thanks to Lulua and has taken her in as her junior. And Lulua herself is looking to be a prospective teacher as well.
      • Compared to the others, Totori is more involved as an adventurer and has started going out more often with their like than the others, such as the Etrian Odyssey Guilds, Keyblade wielders, Steve and Alex (who do their own crafting as well), or Tadano Hitonari. And ever since her father suggested it after abdicating the throne, Meruru has also become more involved in traveling, and even had a brief stint in vigilante work as Masked M (before having to stop after it turns out most people are too smart (or too dumb) to fall for her Paper-Thin Disguise). And this means taking requests in the Pantheonic Soldiers of Fortune (and her fellow alchemists do the same).
    • Once their temple and mobile atelier were properly set up, Atelier Arland was open for business, and each of the alchemists have gone out to various shops in the Pantheon that sell sundries, food, or (pre-modern, gun, and cannon) weapons for purchases, "Wholesaling", and selling of supplies to them just like before, at least in Rorona's case. And there is a much wider variety of materials in the Pantheon as well, such as Plorts (getting them a business partner in Beatrix LeBeau, though she won't tolerate her slimes being attacked unless they're fighting Tarr), shards of Kryptonite, Kyber crystals, Redstone, all sorts of Fantastic Flora, and other minerals and liquids. Additionally, everything in the Dominions Expansion has shown plenty of new resources to try out, though some areas were off-limits, and others way too dangerous even for the likes of the alchemists.
    • By the way, ship parts can also be synthesized, but it has to be in parts since there's only so much room in a cauldron. Totori and Lulua are most experienced with this, having done this before on behalf of a shipwright father and a "pirate" friend respectively. For some reason, the alchemists all have a strange fascination with barrels, even if they use them in battle sometimes. At least to Lulua, saying the word out loud brings a strange ineffable sense of joy. There is "fun" opposition from Pew Die Pie as a result, who hates barrels with a passion.
    • As alchemists, they drew interest from others of similar professions such as the Elric Brothers, their allies, and Anataeus Vaya, as well as potion makers like Severus Snape and Horace Slughorn. And now they have to get used to having genuine enemies as well, who would want nothing more than to exploit them for weapons, mainly explosives, and especially the N/A bombs. As such, they also have troubled relations with Plague Knight and Mona, but less so for Lulua, who finds their explosives fascinating, just excessive when they use them for absolutely every problem.
      • And then there's the Potion of Youth Rorona once made with Astrid during Meruru's apprenticeship under Totori, and Meruru's further improvement on it to successfully bring her back to normal from being a kid. Something like that would also draw its fair share of nefarious folks, such as Mother Gothel, who would want such potions for their own vain uses. Sure, everyone's functionally immortal in the Pantheon, but getting a younger body is still too tempting to pass up, and with Rapunzel kept out of her reach, she has to find alternatives.
      • Rorona has also gotten her Ruby Pies stolen from her shop by Father's minions due to rumors of hearing that a Philosopher's stone is an ingredient in it. She insists she just uses Ruby Prisms, only to then get questions as to why she even uses magical stones as ingredients in the first place. Lulua has also made a similar pie at least once, following her mother's recipe, and made a version for curry too, though that's less likely to get stolen (buying it is enough), but not many desire to even consider eating it except those who can eat minerals such as the dragonling Spike. Rorona has also vowed to never again make living food, not after the Living Pie, and makes sure that everyone else down her line vows the same. Flint Lockwood knows what that's like.
      • Other items the alchemists have made that are regarded as generally useful are ice bombs for making impromptu frozen bridges over water, Air Drops to allow for temporary underwater breathing, Alarm Clocks for recovering from KO
    • When it comes to ghosts, Rorona fears them, but can get over friendly ones as long as they don't do too much scaring. Totori shares most of these sentiments, especially after a miscommunication that almost made her assume that someone (Pamela) was perfectly willing to sacrifice her own life, which was only okay because she was already dead to begin with (being a ghost inhabiting a "body suit" specially made for her). Meruru doesn't express as much fear of them as her alchemy master. As for Lulua, she's completely immune to their scares, given the orphanage she lived in before has been set up as a haunted house so many times, and upon being revealed that Pamela was actually a ghost, her reaction was basically "already seen more fantastical things than ghosts".
    • Cats and other naughty or shedding-prone animals are not allowed inside the ateliers due to the risk of stray fur interfering with the ingredients or the cauldron, not to mention being hard to sweep up, and because the Homs tend to be strongly attached to cats. The Alchemists are also fearful of people who act very different while drunk, since each of them have been… playfully fondled by those they've discovered with that trait. Really, anyone who gets promiscuous while drunk is a no-no to ever be with. Lulua is most fearful of drunkards since Piana told her of HER experience with two drunk women, and ever since Piana's lightweight drunken spree from liqueur chocolates, she also vowed to abstain from ever imbibing alcohol.

  • Exclusive to Rorona:
    • Rorona was horrified with what the Alchemists Guild that Miriam and Gebel used to belong to did in order to remain relevant compared to what she had to do. Rorona just had to prove the worth of her work to Arland's higher-ups with its king Gio already in full support, while that Guild decided to summon demons to frighten people away from the Industrial Revolution. Frankly, that was far, far stupider than anything she did in her youth, and not only did they hurt—no, kill—a lot more innocent people, their plan failed anyway. As for her opinions on the Shardbinders themselves, she sees no problem with either of them. Gebel's actions do unsettle her, but she trusts Miriam.
    • Rorona's parents, while supportive of her career choice (even gifting her rare materials for her craft), are rather inattentive, even taking multiple vacations during her rise as an alchemist). Sure, she does have a legal guardian in her own master Astrid, but unfortunately she tends to be rather lazy partly out of frustration with how Arland treated her own master when she failed to industrializing the kingdom like her predecessors have and leaves most of the work to her apprentice. That said, it's not known how long they've been like this, or if they only started leaving at the start of Rorona's tale, and whether they were putting their faith on Astrid, and several other factors. But at least Rorona has both of her biological parents who think of her (Totori's father was mainly useless and her sister Ceci was the one who mostly raised her, and their mother was missing for years and presumed dead before coming back thanks to Astrid, Meruru's father was disapproving of her line of work unless it could be used to develop Arls before it's annexed to Arland, and there's no word on her mother, while Lulua doesn't even know her birth parents).
    • In case it wasn't obvious, Rorona really loves pies, whether it's baking them or synthesizing them (after Astrid prohibited her from using the former method to further hone her skills). As such, she's drawn attention from other deities known for their pies, such as Toriel for her butterscotch-cinnamon pies (and sometimes snail pies), and Amelia Bedelia for her lemon meringue pie (when she screws up her directions). Crystal Gem Pearl is also interested in the pie-making process, though not so much the eating part (with the sole exception of Toriel's pie).
    • Blackbeard of the One Piece world once checked out Rorona's Pie Shop when it was open, but to his disappointment, no cherry pies were on the menu. While under the pretense of being an ordinary if intimidating customer, he planted in her the idea of adding cherry pies there. One week later, she has started selling cherry pies, and Blackbeard became a very persistent customer, draining her supply of that in moments and waiting when he realized that she synthesizes them with Alchemy. He's even started contemplating abducting the alchemist to make more Cherry Pies for her, but leery eyes from her daughter Lulua, as well as the realization that she could just as easily synthesize something that could mess up his crew, not to mention probably losing a source of cherry pies, he decided not to enact that plan.
    • Despite everything, Rorona's nickname of Cabbage Girl from a contest long ago managed to spread, much to her embarrassment. This netted her a business deal and friendship with the Cabbage Merchant, however, as soon as he made sure there were no cabbage slugs in his wares. She even Wholesales Cabbage Pies for him to sell, though she advises that they need mayonnaise or other sauce to be extra delicious.
    • Having made friends with a puppeteer named Lionela, she has no issues interacting with others of her like, and is in amicable terms with Alice Margatroid when the puppeteer visited for a synthesis request one day. Rorona also tends to give nicknames to people she wants to befriend, and one of them was a wise old bearded man she decided to nickname Al as they talked about Alchemy and how it's different across worlds. It then came to a bit of a shock to the friendly denizens of the Wizarding World that Rorona was in really casual terms with Albus Dumbledore.
    • Was once able to "sleep" while flowing down a river all the way from one end of a country to another, as Totori can attest to when her father fished up her teacher by accident. That's like sailing down the River Nile from Victoria Falls to the Nile Delta. People are amazed she didn't drown at any point and was still coherent enough to continue teaching Totori some more after that.

  • Exclusive to Totori:
    • Totori doesn't think alchemy and science have to be in opposition to one another. She also doesn't think alchemy is magic. Unique to her, Totori has the ability to Duplicate an item without reducing its use count at the cost of mana and some of the item's potency when used. Lulua wanted to learn it, but all she learned was super-fast Synthesis and it took a heavy toll on her stamina that Totori decided to just give up on the endeavor after Lulua passed out as a result. Sometime during her apprenticeship under Rorona, Totori has somehow learned to exude such an intimidating presence that a person's vocabulary skills just plummet when she's around, and she's only gotten more formidable since then.
    • Having had to fight an entity that demanded human sacrifice and (almost) took her mother's life when she tried to fight him (and tied twice), Totori is more heavily against such people more than her master, apprentice, or other apprentice's apprentice. On top of this list are Tezcatlipoca (as an Aztec God and all), Mola Ram, and Zigfrid Shultz of the Aryan Brotherhood for performing these obscene rituals. She also harbors sympathy for Linkara's Magic Gun for having been a victim of Human Sacrfice, though couldn't stand its attempt to gaslight Linkara, but the fact that it was a case of Literal Split Personality makes things complicated.
    • People with parents who aren't in the right condition to raise their children (ineffectual, too hands-off, abusive, dead, or missing) are depressingly more common in the Pantheon than one would think. That was the case with Totori, who had a mostly ineffectual father, and a missing mother presumed dead before she eventually came back home after spending years in recovery. As such, it was up to her elder sister Cecilia "Ceci" to serve as parental substitute. Other kids who had such sustitutes are Lilo Pelekai (rasied by her sister Nani), Akane Isshiki (raised by her younger sister Momo), Mokuba Kaiba (raised by fellow adopted brother Seto), Jun Manjoume (raised by abusive brothers), and Yuma Tsukumo (raised by his sister Akari once their parents vanished). With the exceptions of the Kaibas and Manjoume (though is neutral with Mokuba as long as the subject of Seto's behavior isn't brought up), Totori gets along with all of them.

  • Exclusive to Meruru:
    • For the record, her nickname is pronounced "May-roo-roo", not "Mer-roo-roo". As a proactive princess who acts on behalf of her kingdom, she finds that she isn't alone in that regard and that there are plenty such examples in the Pantheon. Even though she's technically not a princess anymore, she made several acquaintances in the House of Royalty and out, proactive and otherwise, such as Aragorn, Zelda, Arthur Pendragon, his Distaff Counterpart Artoria, Alistair Theirin, Princess Cadance (and her husband Shining Armor), Ortfine Fredericka von Eylstadt, T'Challa, and the Disney Princesses. Princess Bubblegum also became acquainted with the Alchemists through Meruru, though they did starting off on the wrong foot when the candy elemental thought their alchemy was magic (to which Totori protested it wasn't) and went on her usual tirade about it. But when she heard that it might actually be some unexplained alien tech, Bonnibel immediately changed her tune, and is considering learning what she can from this art as well. Not all encounters were freidnly however, such as with King Allant, the Queen of Hearts, Aerys II Targaryen, Joffrey Baratheon, Luca Blight, and Ganondorf.
    • In contrast to Rorona only taking pity in mushrooms, Meruru loves them, be it when eating them in her meals or synthesizing them in her recipes. She's become very knowledgeable on them, though did have to learn about the kinds in the Pantheon that don't exist in Arland, but she was a dedicated study. She occasionally hosts mushroom shows, not just to profess her love for them, but also warn of the poisonous kinds. And, of course, she won't take kindly to her mushrooms getting stolen.
      • As it's in the name, Meruru made contact with the denizens of the Mushroom Kingdom and (after promising not to harm the Toads) marveled at the mushrooms they did have, and wonders if she can improve on the ones the Mario Bros. use with Alchemy. The Toads weren't the only sentient mushrooms she had to come to terms with existing; Parasect, Breloom, Amoonguss and Shiinotic soon entered that list, and her encounters with the latter two were less pleasant than the former two due to their general trickery. Of course, her association with the Mario Bros has made her a target of Bowser for attacks or even abduction, even if she's not a princess anymore.
    • Just how great is her love of mushrooms? She once wanted to make a giant walking (or even just stationary) mushroom that can scatter its spores all over to spawn more mushrooms (despite the whole thing with the Ent back in her apprentice days that she wanted to stop due to its presence putting her people on edge every time it gets close), but Lulua thankfully violently talked her out of that idea. And then scathing words from Joel and Ellie, whose world was essentially ravaged by mushroom infections on humans, terrified the former princess out of ever considering that notion. Speaking of that Ent, she was on edge again when she heard there were a few in the Pantheon already, but after sighting Treebeard and Rooftrellen, she just sighed in relief as the Ent she tangled with was much, much bigger than even them. And then she started to worry what they—especially Treebeard, after hearing of his kind's retaliation on Isengard—might think of what she did to the one in Arls, and keeps away. She also has a hard time trusting Lizard Folk, since her kingdom had been threatened by them, and has taken out her fair share of them during her time as an alchemist apprentice.
    • As someone who wanted to rebel from her old established lifestyle, only to then accept her role after some self-reflection (plus realizing what she wanted to learn—Alchemy—can help with that role), with the exception of that last bit, part of Meruru's character arc is just like Yukiko Amagi in that regard. One can also consider Bridget to be the same, though in terms of gender identity, which is kind of a new concept to think of. Meruru recognizes the value of defensive structures such as outposts, and that it's okay for them to be more better-designed than one's own castle. After all, they're the first line that invaders have to tend to first, and it's meant to keep the citizens safe, and doesn't understand the vain types who prioritize their own "houses" over their "walls".

  • Exclusive to Lulua:
    • When she was asked questions of Rorona's teenage pregnancy, Lulua reminds that she was adopted, 2 years before she acquired the Alchemyriddle. Rorona's reason for adopting Lulua is because when the alchemist visited Arklys, Lulua was so kind to her and talked about all sorts of things, and she thought they would have all sorts of fun if they were together, nothing ulterior or grand. On a different note, her birthday is on what is Valentines Day on Earth, although it's not known if her world has that holiday. And ever since Lulua turned in a few almost used-up items while fulfilling a request, having done the same back in her world, all requests sent to the Pantheonic Soldiers of Fortune since then now have to specify "unused", "fresh", or similar terms to prevent the same stunt being pulled ever again. Lulua herself was also reprimanded for that stunt and she has profusely apologized for it.
    • Once attempted to speak to a particular Slime in "Puni" language, just like she had before. This Slime, Rimuru Tempest, quickly revealed that she can speak to her just fine, much to her embarrassment. Lulua tried the same with the ones in the Far Far Range, but has found them to be rather simple-minded (even if a few of them are able to set up an "online account" to buy chickens to eat). Having had to deal with a workaholic Father Benon before at the orphanage she grew up in, Lulua prescribes to the incapacitating method to deal with such people. If she can't do that, she resorts to stern reminders of sleep and healthy eating.
    • Due to having been told what they are by her pirate friend Nicodemus "Nico" David Dieter, Lulua believes true pirates are all about escorting ships, fishing, and keeping the waters clean, and thinks those that plunder or hunt for treasure are impostors sullying their good name. As such, she gets along with the likes of the Straw Hat Pirates and the Turners, really has problems with Captain Jack Sparrow after he tried to pilfer a few things from her, is naturally enemies with mailicious pirates like Black Manta and Long John Silver (even his nicer cyborg iteration), and has clashed with Peter Pan whenever he messes with pirates she trusts.
    • (heavily resembles Emilia)
    • Among the things Lulua can concoct, she can make Eraezyko Charms (shaped like ofudas) for banishing ghosts from an area if magical attacks aren't permanently cutting it. That said, if she has to banish one, she wants to know their story before going in blind; if a peaceful method is preferable, she'll take that option. She can also make medicines that can curb Big Eater tendencies, return them if they were curbed by the former, and a "super-special" Tonic that increases the Quality of items in an area that she can gather for a limited time.
    • Will not stand for buying items just to destroy them to deny its use by anyone else, just as Mimi has with Pure Truffles (Meruru once made a dish with that ingredient that causes the eater to abandon all pretense and deception and be perfectly honest about their feelings, and had no effect on her since she's already honest with herself. When the tsundere Mimi had that dish, she started to get very emotional and longing for more intimate moments with Totori, including sleeping in the same bed as her and bathing with her. After Mimi discovered what she had been saying, she went absolutely to pieces about it, and made Meruru swear she'd never cook with Pure Truffles again or reveal what she said.)
    • Despite coming from a time period bereft of much futuristic technology (although a few do inexplicably exist), Lulua doesn't really express shock or any strong reactions over any sort of Robotic Reveal, not even her first time when Stia revealed her status. As such, she's confused with anybody who invoke Just a Machine for any reason, and opposes those with prejudice against robots who use that reason against them.
    • With Café Leblanc no longer present, Lulua being a provider of curry has drawn much of those customers to her, like Rock Lee, Arle Nadja, Usalia, Daita Oiwa, Asbel Lhant, Presea Combatir, Yotsuba Koiwai, Minako Aino, Lan Hikari, Reaper's Game participant Beat, and the Kosugis (Lemeza in particular), and she quickly became friends with all of them. Ren Amamiya and Futaba Sakura have also checked out the place, and while they can tell that Lulua's recipes are incredible (albeit with some oddities), Ren resolutely claims that none of them can compare to Sojiro's recipe, and no, he will not share it. However, Lulua did eventually learn about the Metaverse, and now she's intrigued with what sorts of materials can be found there. Too bad they're very (justifiably) cagey with letting just about anyone in, so she will have to settle with secondhand acquisition by buying their acquired materials and seeing what can be made from them.
    • Being helped by one's past self via Alechemyriddle is pushing it, but actively aspiring to change the fates of Stias from multiple alternate timelines just about crossed the line in the eyes of the Dahaka, even if she didn't alter anyone's pasts, just "fixed" what's already happened there in the present. However, Barbatos sees her pursuit as full counter to his Dark Multiverse, and her use of The Time Brooch meant plenty of the Arland timelines are now consistent in one particular event, even if things can still end badly further down the line. And with the True Dragon Hourglass to traverse alternate timelines and the Time Brooch to "lock in" those results entering the rumor mill, Lulua has found herself been targeted by many nefarious folks who wish to alter their pasts (not knowing it won't change their present, but some might think helping their past selves win in at least one timeline or as many as possible is enough for them), and the Pantheonic Time Police have stepped in to make sure that Lulua completely and undeniably understands the gravity of her situation. Thankfully for the PTP, Lulua does understand, at least enough that she doesn't go visiting the alternate world's residents further than Alt Lulua's atelier and the other Fellsgalaxen. And technically speaking, she just undid the fate of Alternate Stia that was already done, rather than averting her own timeline's Stia's fate. Besides, from what Rorona relayed to her, even if one changes the past, it won't change their present, only create another branch of reality. Just like in the events of Avengers: Endgame, turns out.

  • Respects: Samuel Rodrigues, Blake Belladonna

  • Complicated Relationship: Toyosatomimi no Miko, Momotaro
  • Self-proclaimed to be a hermit, Kasen Ibaraki is actually many things, and hiding so much more, behind her human-like appearance, ranging from being an oni, to being a Sage of Gensokyo. However, she would much prefer living life as it is now, taking in the beauty of normalcy and calm. Despite being a kind and helpful person, however, Kasen has quite a few dark shades to her disposition and process.
  • Her ascension was arranged by Yukari and Okina as a result of everything that began happening with Gensokyo and its residents since Chimata Tenykuu’s ascension. The fallout of that event has culminated in quite a turbulent series of events for the Touhou deities, both already and newly ascended. Yukari & Okina both knew that they really needed to step up their game and catch up with the modern times of the Pantheon, so they decided to enact a plan to ascend the last known member of the Sages.
    • Kasen had been mainly hanging around Reimu’s shrine up until the day she would be ascended, when both Yukari & Okina showed up before her to request her aid in something. This unnatural reunion obviously made the hermit suspicious, especially knowing of the events that occurred since the market goddess’ ascension, but given her duties as a Sage, she accepted. Once they passed through the Land of the Back Door, they found themselves at the Court of the Gods, and suddenly Kasen knew- she had mainly known of the things that recently transpired, but never got involved as she wasn’t ascended. Yukari and Okina were gonna change that, much to the annoyance of the hermit.
  • Regarding Reimu, Kasen is one of her closest true friends and allies, alongside Marisa…a feeling not so reciprocated by the shrine maiden at first. She once saw Kasen as an annoyance, but over time, she grew to learn and like her quite a bit. Kasen also served as The Mentor to Reimu, [[guiding and training her for when spoiler:she has to seal away her cursed arm again]], helping her raise more money for the Hakurei Shrine, and other such tribulations. They don’t always see eye-to-eye on things, but they are very much in agreement to them whrn it comes down to it.
    • Kasen, by extension, is also friends with quite a fair bit of Reimu’s camaderie. Marisa is a strong supporter of Kasen’s mentorship to Reimu, which while made the shrine maiden annoyed, it also pleased the hermit. Sanae is pretty much a neighbor to Kasen, as they both live on Youkai Mountain, and are also friendly with each other. With Sumireko, though, things are slightly more tense (especially given [[Touhou Shinpiroku ~ Urban Legend in Limbo what Sumireko did), but they still have an amicable relationship, sometimes finding excuses to visit the Outside World.
    • As a Sage of Gensokyo, she has a sworn duty to maintain the land of fantasy and its integrity. However, of the trio, she is probably the most vocal when it comes to expressing her opinions on the others. Kasen, like Reimu, finds Yukari to be cowardly and annoying, pestering and bothering others into stopping or starting things for her. She echoes this for Okina as well, as well as citing that she has an idea on the inner workings of that secret god’s mind. However, in the end, she still regards them as allies, as they are just as much protectors as she is.
    • Is weirded out a little by Miko’s strange infatuation towards her. Well, Kasen does call herself a “Taoist Hermit”, so it would make sense that Miko would be asking for advice from someone like her, right? Well, she may not really know the full extent of what Taoism is, but her affinity with animals and nature as well as her kindhearted personality have made her quite a fond character in the Crown Prince’s eyes and mind. Kasen isn’t sure of what to make of all of this, really.
  • Ever since her ascension, Kasen has begun wandering around as usual, looking for new experiences. This has resulted in quite a few new friends and foes for her to juggle.
    • The House of Beasts And Fauna welcomed the hermit with open arms (or paws? Appendages?), making her an honorary member of the House. Rexxar in particular respects her quite a lot, as she is a beastmaster in her own right, also having tamed 5 beasts like him as well as being a hermit. The rest of the Beasthood, and by extension most of the House, are also respectful of Kasen, and are more than willing to take her side if she ever is put in a tight situation.
    • Howled with laughter upon seeing Sr Pelo's recreation of the events that occurred within the Scarlet Mist Incident. She found his playful artstyle and animation to be very endearing, as well as its tongue-in-cheek and slapstick humor sparsed with clever soundclips and effects. For a day or so, it was all Kasen can talk about to Reimu and co., who while annoyed at first, eventually decided to watch the video themselves. Since then, Sr Pelo had become a celebrated icon in Gensokyo, and is one of the few deities who have been allowed in and out of it freely without reprecussion.
    • Not all is fine and dandy for the hermit, however, as there are always going to be obstacles in her life. She had been made aware of some recent threats to Gensokyo and its residents, such as Tanya, Alice (not Margatroid), Brand X, Terumi, and older foes like Odio. She’s also found some rather unscripulous characters in the House of Beasts & Fauna, like Chantel DuBois and in her opinion, The Dovahkiin. To Touhou deities in particular, Kasen is quite a critic towards Keiki Haniyasushin, thiugh given their respective stances on animals, this shouldn’t come as a surprise; it’s also not surprising that Junko would be an enemy of Kasen’s as well, given that the divine spirit is in association with Gigyas.
  • Not many people beyond those from Gensokyo know that Kasen is actually an oni. But if you’ve researched Kasen’s last name, Ibaraki, then it does become a bit more obvious as to what she actually is. Her supposed actual identity became one that quite a few took notice of.
    • Rem & Ram, two fellow oni in the Pantheon, became acquainted with Kasen through Sakuya Izayoi. The hermit felt bad for Rem’s current condition, and adds herself to the growing list of deities who’ll help them whenever she can to restore Rem’s memories. Kasen was also acquainted with the Masters of Spinjitzu through the oni servants, who were, again, surprised to find more friendly oni in the Pantheon now, but have since become friends with her.
    • Ritsuka Fujimaru, the master of Chaldea, was quick to locate Kasen, as they suspected that she was their Ibaraki-Douji. Though that wasn't really the case for Ritsuka, Kasen herself was rather unnerved of their description of Ibaraki-Douji, it deeply reminds her of herself, especially when she merged with her arm to truly become Ibaraki-Douji herself. Thankfully, though, when the two oni did meet in Ritsuka's temple, no true animosity emerged, as they instead recounted their respective pasts without much judgment. Since then, both Ibarakis, as well as Ritsuka, have become friends.
    • A deity that gives Kasen some pause is Momotaro, who along with animal companions of his own, took to taking down an island full of oni. While she was more concerned about the oni that had dealt the damage first, she was wary that Momotaro's skills with a blade are not to be underestimated. The boy himself also expressed concern about Kasen, as she is Ibaraki-Douji although not as evil nor powerful without her true right arm, but was still nonetheless rather rattled at such a powerful oni could be around in the Pantheon- and that's not counting Kasen's heralds...
  • Kasen has a myriad of abilities at her disposal, learned from her many years. Ranging from hiding her home in different ways (potentially similar to how Miko does with Senkai), channeling and manipulating light spheres, instantaneous movement, and of curse, incredible strength. She also is in possession of a magical box/cup that seems to have the ability to cure its drinker's ailments and wounds completely as well as grant them strength, but in return, their disposition becomes similar to that of an oni's. For the former, the manipulation of light orbs has gotten her the attention of ne of Miko's training buddies, Oriko Mikuni, but the hermit doesn't think too highly of her despite both of them having a bond with the Crown Prince. The House of Health and Diseases are quick to ask Kasen for samples of medicinal salve from her box, but she refuses to budge when it comes to that, as she states that there's other, and probably better, alternatives that they can explore first.
  • Kasen's main reason for training and mentoring Reimu was so that the shrine maiden can be prepared to strike her, or rather her evil self that was sealed in her severed right arm, down, so that said arm can be resealed. Kasen had planned quite extensively to pull this off, much like how her other fellow Sages have pulled off extensive plans of their own. Since her ascension, she has had many aspects of those events reflected in many of the deities she has seen and met with.
    • Ritsuka, learning of Kasen's previous plight, referred her to the Hassan With The Cursed Arm to spend some time with. They both have cursed right arms, though compared to Kasen with hers being cut off and housing her malicious and evil side, the Hassan's right arm houses a full-on demon, and is attached to him still. Another such friendship would be struck with Hellboy, in the same house as Hassan, also with a cursed right arm. They both also happen to choose to leave behind what they used to be and become better people- and they do like animals, with Hellboy having a fondness for cats while Kasen is much less specific on her likings.
    • Once watched on Sumireko's phone how Samuel Rodrigues brutally slashed off Raiden's arm, and was piqued. She wondered if that, in the unlikely event the seal for her right arm would be removed, she can call upon Sam's help instead. While their first meeting was normal and they were friendly about it, he did bring up the heated moments between Yang, Blake, and Adam, especially with the fall of Beacon. She then encountered the aforementioned trio, one by one, over the course of the following day. While she sympathized with Yang's situation and what resulted from it, she doesn't hold Adam to that degree, but maintains as much neutrality with the other as possible.

    Sunny
Sunny of the SandWings, Goddess of Oblivious Hybrids (Beetle, Princess Sunny)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sunny_21.png

  • Rank: Lesser God
  • Areas: Hall of Character Reveals and Hybrid Beings
  • Symbol: The Eye of Onyx
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • High priests: Kharg and Darc
  • Domains: Hybrids, prophecies, fire, deserts
  • Portfolio: Her friends think she Cannot Keep a Secret, Everyone's Baby Sister, The Ingenue, smarter than she looks, Wide-Eyed Idealist, doesn't have Hybrid Power, The So-Called Coward, broken cutie, can breathe fire
  • Allies: Spyro, Hiccup and Toothless, Emmet Brickowski
  • Respects: The entire Hall of Opposing Fate
  • Enemies: All evil dragons
  • Fears: The Monster Hunters, the Dovahkiin, Dragonslayer Ornstein
  • As a war raged between the dragon tribes of Pyrrhia, the Talons of Peace received a prophecy instructing them to find five dragon eggs due to hatch on the same day, and raise them to end the war. Unlike most of the desert-dwelling SandWings, Sunny doesn't have a venomous tail barb, her scales are golden instead of pale yellow, and her eyes are green instead of black. Her caretakers assumed she was deformed because she was hatched in a cave instead of beneath the scorching sun. As the War of SandWing Succession draws to a close, she meets her mother, Thorn, who's looking for a NightWing (the most elusive dragon tribe) named Stonemover. When Sunny asks her why, Thorn reveals that he's Sunny's father, who left her one day and never returned. Thorn didn't like other NightWings, so she buried Sunny's egg in the desert in hopes that they wouldn't take her. Unfortunately for her, the prophecy said the SandWing egg was "hidden away", so the Talons of Peace took it instead.
  • After the war, the Dragonets of Destiny founded a school called Jade Mountain Academy to teach dragons from all across Pyrrhia to get along. One evening, Sunny noticed a strange tunnel that wasn't there before on the cavern's ground floor, and felt drawn towards it. Unlike most of the magic in her world, it didn't give her a sickening feeling of wrongness, so she decided to follow her adventurous side and crawl through it to see where it went. She arrived in the Court of the Gods, who said they were proud of her role in saving Pyrrhia and bestowed her title upon her. Sunny cried tears of joy; the prophecy she'd been raised to believe she was a part of may have been fake, but she was finally special.
  • Sunny tries to see the good in dragonkind, so naturally the first place she visited after her ascension was the Hall of Dragons. The first member she met was Spyro, who she found annoying at first, but came to respect him when she learned he saved his species many times over. She's curious as to how he gained his various Breath Weapons; the dragons in her world only have one at most. She later tried to reason with its eviler members such as Grima, Smaug, and Sindragosa despite their terrifying appearances, only to be distraught when they wouldn't listen to her. On a lighter note, she's curious about how the Pantheon's various human/dragon hybrids such as Jake Long, Corrin, and Eight came to be.
  • The war started in the first place because a group of scavengers (AKA humans) killed Queen Oasis of the SandWings. Since princesses can only take the throne by killing their mother in most of the dragon kingdoms, and she had three daughters, a Succession Crisis ensued. As a result, Sunny is wary of any humans that kill dragon-like creatures, such as the Monster Hunters, the Dovahkiin, and Ornstein. However, she finds other humans cute. Hiccup reminds her of the teenagers who helped her end the war, though she's not sure why Toothless hasn't spoken to her yet. Is he shy?
  • Sunny gets along well with Emmet due to their similar histories. Both of them thought they were special because they were subjects of prophecies, only to realise that the supposed "prophets" made them up on the spot... but they still fulfilled it anyway, because it was the right thing to do. For similar reasons, she respects the Hall of Opposing Fate. It helps that they're all decent people.

    Mount Volbono
Mount Volbono, the Weird Land of Weird Food

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mount_volbono.jpg

  • Area: Fictional Settings
  • Description: A pastel-coloured, volcanic valley filled with low-poly vegetables and blocks of Swiss cheese.
  • Symbol: A cauldron on top of a volcano
  • Theme song: Mount Volbono
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Level Ate, Lethal Lava Land, Fantasy Counterpart Culture of Italy, inhabited by anthropomorphic forks
  • Domains: Cooking, volcanoes, low-poly pastel aesthetics
  • Sacred to: Mario, Cappy, the entire House of Food
  • Visitors: Anton Ego, Gordon Ramsay, Remy, Hercules
  • Banned from entering: Bowser, Obelix, Mr. Dark
  • Situated in the Luncheon Kingdom, Mount Volbono is famous for its food. The volcanic climate allows vegetables to grow to huge sizes, the ruins of the old town are covered in salt, and the foothills are covered with blocks of Swiss cheese that can be chiselled like rocks. The locals — anthropomorphic forks called Volbonans — use these ingredients to make soup, which they boil in cauldrons heated by the pink lava. This may sound like a fever dream, but their Stupendous Stew is so good that Bowser stole it to serve at his wedding with Princess Peach. Fortunately, Mario and Cappy put a stop to his plans.
  • The Volbonans were surprised to learn that their homeland had been connected to the Pantheon, but they're welcoming to most visitors. In turn, they're interested in the House of Food and can be found visiting its many restaurants. Only three gods are banned from entering: the Volbonans still haven't forgiven Bowser for stealing their stew, Obelix would probably try to eat everything, and Mr. Dark would probably try to annex Mount Volbono into his kingdom of sweets.
  • Unsurprisingly, many gods from the House of Food are interested in Mount Volbono. Gordon Ramsay and Anton Ego were both interested in trying the Stupendous Stew; the Volbonans were nervous that it wouldn't live up to their high standards, but breathed a collective sigh of relief when they both liked it. Remy isn't a connoisseur, but instead visited to get inspiration for new recipes. Hercules' visit was less expected, though. He explained that Mount Volbono reminds him of Mount Vesuvius, which is sacred to him.

Labeling Whispy Woods as a Quasideity solely because of their first boss status feels a bit disrespectful, imo. Whispy Woods is fully capable of being a menace if need be, both in his own boss fights and due to the Kirby series's crazy feats. As such, I'd label them as a Lesser God outright, with their Clanky Woods form (to which I supplied an image of it blow) is a borderline Intermediate God.

Apologies for how late this is but heres my proposal for Homsar under trope of Talkative Loon

Homsar is the reality defying Oddball Doppelgänger of the titular Homestar of the Homestar Runner series. Homsar originated due to a typo in fan email sent to Strong Bad that asked why he simply doesn’t kill his (at the time) worst enemy Homestar, Strong Bad proceded to just that and dropped a heavy lourde on him. While this should have been the end of Homsar, the creators decided to bring him back in the reoccurring series Marzipan’s Answering Machine in which he thanked her for sending him flowers while in the hospital and also reappeared in the Halloween special that year. While he was able to speak in coherent english in both his original appearance and his one in the Marzipan Answering Machine (which was later given an explanation in another installment 15 years latter) with his appearance in the Halloween special his character trait of speaking in phrases that range from a garbled messes that can vaguely be parsed to full on unintelligible non-sequiters. After this trait was established it stuck and has been consistent since. The only other times that homestar has spoken relatively coherent are mostly due to specific scenarios like the assembling of a bunch of artifacts that briefly give you the ability to understand him or as a way to explain prior canon. He has also won an official “non-sequiter championship” in universe against the other nigh incomprehensible rambler of the Homestar universe Senor Cardgage which shows just how integral his nonsensical ramblings are to his character. For further reference, heres a list of Homsar quotes link (note, only the ones with quotation marks around them are statements said by Homsar, the ones without quotation marks are either about Homsar or someone imitating him.

————————————————————————————————

I also feel like {{Pantheon/Mindsets Homestar Runner’s}} profile needs an expansion due to the fact that it only really has 4 bullet points when you disregard the whole template information. Since I believe an explanation is standard for when expanding a page here is my explanation for Homestar’s current trope of The Ditz.

Homestar Runner from the series of the same name is mainly defined by his cluelessness and lack of intelligence. To quote Strong Bad, Homestar has a “unbelievably loose grasp on the world around [him]” alongside things that should be common sense to most people. While his antics occasionally fall under Cloudcuckoolander territory, most of his antics fall under the category of him just being incredibly dull and naive. This is mainly due to the fact that he is usually no odder than the other residents of Free Country, USA and is mainly just dumber than them instead of being the weird one of the cast. He is so oblivious to the point where he often is unaware of when people are being mean to him such as with Strong Bad and his insults and abuse towards him. For an example of his stupidity in action, heres a recap of a scene from the Sbemail “Secret Recipes.”

In said Sbemail, Strong Bad goes and attempts to trick people into eating some of his “secret recipes” which are designed to taste as awful as possible, one such recipe is a mix of sour cream and animal hair which Strong Bad passes off as ice cream. Homestar is of course, tricked into eating it and even after its said that Strong Bad told him about what it really is he only stops eating it once another character erroneously points out to Homestar that its a mix of animal hair and cottage cheese. Homestar decides he wants to get back at Strong Bad for tricking him, so he lays a trap for Strong Bad in the form of fake “pie”. Said pie is a bowl containing a pinecone with a straw in it and a note that labels it as “not a pimecone.” Strong Bad of course sees through this obvious trick and when Homestar comes to check up on Strong Bad, he gets offered the “pie” and gladly accepts and begins eating the pinecone. Homestar then leaves confidently without realizing that his trap failed and that he was tricked into eating his own trap.

The amount of idiocy on display in said scene is the standard for how Homestar usually acts which is why I believe he epitomizes the archetype of a ditzy character with his charming yet idiotic nature being on display almost all of the time.

[up] Dood Slayer 136 is doing Homsar & Senor Cardgage for Word-Salad Humor as well as reworking Homestar Runner for The Ditz.

Also, your explanations for both suggestions is too long. Next time you plan to propose an idea for new characters or reworking them (if you have any), two, three, or four sentences for explaining the characters and ideas should be enough.

Behold, the first complete rough draft for the Zoombinis! Still looking for some additional feedback before asking for the up-thumbs.

Specifically wondering if there would be any potential interactions with other Mix-and-Match Critters, or any other parties. Or if any sections should be expanded upon.

Rough Draft Mode

The Zoombinis, Co-Deities of Logic Puzzle Roadblocks

  • Potential House: Challenge
  • Demideities
  • Symbol: Themselves, with varying legs, hair, eyes, and nose color
  • Theme Song: Zoombiniville
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Waddling Heads, Mix-and-Match Critters, Searching For A New Home After Theirs Gets Taken Over by the Bloats, Must Solve Logic Puzzles At Every Turn To Progress, Can Survive Various Life-Threatening Falls Without Suffering A Scratch
  • Domains: Puzzles, Logic, Migration
  • Hearlds: The Boolies
  • Allies: Professor Layton, The Smurfs, Robin, Abe, The ChuChus, Link
  • Enemies: Corrupt Corporate Executive Deities, Amanda Young and Mark David Hoffman, The Coachman, The Aryan Brotherhood
  • Fear: The Glukkons
  • The Zoombinis once lived peaceful, happy lives on their home of Zoombini Isle. Each differed in some manner, be it a different-colored nose, quantity/style of eyes, hairstyle, or feet. However, these differences mattered not to these industrious, determined creatures. All this changed one day when the Bloats arrived. They promised that their changes would ultimately bring further joy to the Zoombinis. Instead, they almost ended up a Slave Race to them. This was when the Zoombinis began their escape plan: they would flee the island they once called home and journey to a new land to settle down. This journey proved successful and from there, they founded their new home: Zoombiniville.
  • A group of sixteen Zoombinis were exploring the area near Zoombiniville one day when they found a door. Said door could only be opened if they lined each other up based on their feet. They passed the test with flying colors and discovered, on the other side, lied the Trope Pantheon before their very eyes (or "eye", in some cases). Professor Layton, impressed by these being's ability to overcome seemingly-randomly-placed logic puzzles, vouched for their ascension into the Pantheon, which they would earn their title: "Co-Deities of Logic Puzzle Roadblocks".
  • One of the first groups to greet the Zoombinis were The Smurfs. The latter shares the strife of adventuring and avoiding the clutches of those who wish to abuse them, and thus became fast friends. Abe also has the respect for the Zoombinis. He empathizes with their need to escape from an oppressive regime, which he had to do on multiple occasions already. Similarly, the ChuChus also had to flee their homeworld in search of new ones at the hands of an enemy. These common allies have helped the Zoombinis not feel alone in this new location.
  • Professor Layton quickly grew an interest in the Zoombinis upon hearing about their escapades. A solver of often-arbitrary puzzles himself, he decided to assist them in whatever trials the Pantheon would offer. For example, when one path gave way into a mysterious light grid, it was Layton who was able to solve what needed to be done. He helped the Zoombinis cross the chasm using unusually strong bubbles, being careful as to not guide them the wrong way. An unusual experience, but one that strengthened the bond between the two.
  • Robin happened upon the Zoombinis upon observing them in a peculiar pickle. They were trying to find a way to activate a water pump so they could being cultivating a garden but said pumps could only be activated based on matches of their varying anatomy. Using his cunning intellect, Robin strategized a way that each in the group could organize themselves and make their way through the system without losing anyone. Nobody knows why this pump had such a convoluted system of operation, but this interaction revealed yet another ally for the Zoombinis to lean on.
  • Link also finds himself enjoying the company of the Zoombinis. His quests have seen him, and his many incarnations, solving all manner of unusual puzzle. Some of the Toon variants recall their quests and having to solve some peculiar puzzles, some of which involved the varying anatomy of the Anouki. Other variations are reminded of the fairies which aided them on their journeys. Regardless, Link has offered up his arsenal of weapons and equipment to assist these new allies however necessary.
  • Sherlock Holmes is sometimes seen observing the actions of the Zoombinis. While not actively involved in assisting them like others, he is curious about how their everyday lives seem to resemble a bunch of puzzles. His current theory is that it is some sort of game, a game won by guiding all the Zoombinis to their destination. He appreciates their escapades and means of teaching others the way of logical thinking.
  • When Crazy Dave caught news that the Zoombinis ascended, he immediately went over to see if it was true, with plants in hand. To his relief, he saw a bunch of blue Waddling Heads, as opposed to the undead on ice-cleaning machinery. It turns out he accidentally blocked one of the "O"s on the welcome pamphlet with a finger, hence the confusion. He quickly apologized for this blunder and went back to his usual business.
  • Papyrus, upon seeing the Zoombinis, enjoyed the opportunity to meet some new monsters in the Pantheon. As part of their started relationship, he decided to make some puzzles for them to solve. They were supposed to be incredibly challenging and brain-wracking, but instead they ended up being incredibly easy to solve. One of them involved a path that could only be taken by those with orange noses, which he revealed while walking back, needing to wear one to avoid the failure condition. The Zoombinis themselves don’t seem to mind his silly escapades.
  • A few Zoombinis have taken up jobs in the House of Food. Specifically, they act as waiters, providing people with what they ordered. Given their experience serving pizza to some hungry trolls, their skills transferred over well, and made them popular among some of the pizza-loving deities as well. It certainly helps that, unlike the trolls, people here tend to say exactly what they want the first time, so no trial-and-error is needed here.
  • Given their previous history, Zoombinis are not fond of those who mistreat their subordinates, let alone enslave them. They are leary of The Coachman who, despite his promises of fun on his Pleasure Island, is known for turning his patrons into donkeys before selling them off to work in salt mines. They are especially bothered by the fact that, like the Bloats and their takeover, he got off completely scott-free. Similarly, The Aryan Brotherhood, infamous for their own slavery and policing of culture, hits far too close to home for the Zoombinis, given their own holidays were slowly cancelled at the hands of their own oppressors.
    • Though, compared to those two, The Glukkons seem far worse an entity to deal with. The concept of having to work under a tyrannical industry, selling off your own workforce as foodstuff, such actions for the Zoombinis made the Bloats look like saints in comparison. They dare not be near them out of fear of how they might abuse them.
  • Amanda Young and Mark David Hoffman decided to test this personally by setting up a death trap for them. Each room was specifically designed in such a manner that at least one Zoombini will be forced to take the blow. It took some outside intervention by some of the brightest minds in the Pantheon to get them out of this predicament. Angered by this result, the two now plots their revenge, a new death trap without any sort of all-survival loophole.
  • Sometime after their discovery of Zoombiniville, some scouts were sent to check on their previous home of Zoombini Isle. During their time away, the Bloats had ransacked the island, leaving it in a state of ecological dismay. The source of its degrade was tracked down to a lack of moths to pollinate the flowers, thus depriving the local fauna of food. While some Zoombinis have already left to restore the natural state of the island, some have asked the Pantheon’s denizens to assist in the cause as well. They are also recruiting some of the insect deities to come over and move the process along. So far, Team Snakemouth and Barry B. Benson have agreed to assist in this project, the latter knowing what a lack of pollinating insects can do to the world already.

That is all for now...

  • Fears: Galactus, Unicron
  • Wary of: most Dragonball fighters
  • Annoys: Cthulhu
  • The setting of Gemini Home Entertainment is a setting where various visceral anomalies causing trouble. They appear to be alien, outside of an invasion their goals are unknown and they have plant-like traits. These hostile organisms are linked to and most likely caused by the Iris, also known as the Hungry Eye or Planet Nine. It is a rogue planet wandering throughout space and when it entered the solar system, it started by mutating the planet Neptune into something indescribable. It also considers Saturn and its rings as a "gateway". It is akin to an alien eye just a bit smaller than Saturn, and showed up from who knows where to invade the Earth.
  • The Iris' arrival was first foreshadowed by the Hall of Dreams and Nightmares, who complained of a dream where it blocked out the Sun. However, no-one expected who'd make the first line of defense against the wandering planet/abomination; Robot Santa Claus. As his base of operations is the Neptunian North Pole, he considers the Iris to be a colossal threat, one bad enough that he teamed up with the other two Santas to mount their defense. Though mildly amused by Santa fighting it, the Hungry Eye was not too concerned. That was, until it got the attention of Mogo the Living Planet. Soon, the Iris found someone in its own weight class and the Green Lantern planet saw no reason to hold back against it. The eldritch planet decided to cut its losses and retreat to interstellar space, recalibrating that it was no longer in a Cosmic Horror Story and had instead entered the Trope Pantheon.
  • The Iris regards Mogo as its perhaps its greatest opponent as though significantly smaller than it Mogo is stronger than the Hungry Eye because of their access to the Green Lantern ring. So long as the Iris remains in interstellar space there is absolutely nothing restraining them from teaching the Iris a lesson that you do not mess with "smaller beings" just because you are an Eldritch Abomination. The Rogue Planet is glad, however, that they represent the Genius Loci trope over Ego the Living Planet, since while Mogo is "police" Ego is "competition". For those wondering why, MCU Ego's plan was a mass Assimilation Plot to turn all other world into himself, like a much more effective and vicious version of the Iris' apparent goal. The Guardians of the Galaxy do not want something like Ego to show up again and have sworn to set up explosives in the Iris' brain and send it to hell.
  • The motivation of the Iris has remained obscured, but it can be inferred that one of its goals is to spread strange, alien biomass on Earth. These lifeforms act as its heralds and have informed a variety of its interactions with the Trope Pantheon. The Iris itself contains a mouth, throat, spine, organs, some gardens, a "mind", and a respiratory system. Which of course begs the question "what does it eat?". Being a Rogue Planet, the reverse question could be asked "who could eat it?" The Iris is not comfortable with the answer to this question as Galactus, by far the most well-known Planet Eater is in the same Hall...and Unicron is not too far away.
    • The Woodcrawlers are arachnid-like predators who can puppeteer humans and make "fake people", along with stealing people's voice. These entities lead the Iris to be interested in Ungoliant and her spawn, noting that she is like it; something unfathomable to man. However that's more bemusement than anything and they otherwise keep to their mutual feeding habits.
    • Those "fake people" are also products of Nature's Mockery. What's a fake person? They're a mass of red, sinewy Meat Moss that come to resemble people...though not up close. Only from afar and obscured by shadow. The Iris hopes to fix this bug, which has led it to study the Pop People. The Pop People consider Earth their property, of sorts, and believe the Iris is introducing competition. The Hungry Eye admits that, however it does seem to like what they're doing anyway. It considers them "kindred spirits", and they aren't the only ones.
    • Nature's Mockery are "plants" that are in fact organisms mutated by Deep Root Disease. This starts with a rash, progresses into nasty conditions like flesh decay and disfigures the body into something horrible without necessarily killing them. The House of Health and Diseases has advised that a) the House of Plants needs to work hard to purge any influence of the Roots and b) to Kill It with Fire, especially Nature's Mockery. The Iris has become curious of the representative for the Botanical Abomination, but only out of morbid intrigue than any aligning goals. After all, it is mum on its ultimate objectives.
    • Deep in the bowels of the Earth the Gardeners tend to their crops of flesh and guts, which become full-fledged gardens. And deep underwater the Gardeners make nests on oceanic trenches. The Iris wonders how the Kraeken would interact with them as it is curious where they came from. Another notable entity related to the Iris is the Skinwalker, who take living beings and incorporates them into itself.
  • The Iris was not, as it believed, the first threat from the world of Analog Horror. Instead, the trope was represented by the Alternates, led by the supposed Archangel Gabriel...actually Satan in disguise. "Gabriel" has stated that Earth is already "my kingdom"; he isn't fond of the competition, and has mentioned that a lot of other deities wouldn't be fond of it either. Said other deities mainly consist of more conventional hostile aliens like the Shroobs or the Harvesters; the latter are wondering if they could harvest the Iris itself. The Tyranids are another "rival", mainly by virtue of possibly wanting to eat away at the resources. As Iris appears wholly organic this would be akin to a bunch of flesh-eating maggots swarming on an eye.
  • While inscrutable, the fact that it isn't one to shirk opportunities to mock Earth and taunt humanity shows that the Iris is malevolent and not just Obliviously Evil or under Blue-and-Orange Morality. Of course, since all life associated with it proves imicable to natural Earth life means that the Rogue Planet is opposed by humanity. The Imperium of Mankind will absolutely try to kill the thing with weapons-grade Exterminatus. That said, outside of its clearly visceral traits the whole biology and nature of the Iris is unknown. The Hungry Eye is not merely interested in Earth too, but the whole solar system given the aforementioned corruption of Neptune and attempts at mutating Saturn. It has been on the attack for at least the past four centuries, as according to research the Great Red Spot of Jupiter is in fact a mutation caused by the Iris.
  • The SCP Foundation wanted to know what was going with the Great Red Spot as the Iris' actions seem to contradict how the storm was actually caused by a malfunctioning destroyer. They don't consider the Iris to be anything out of the ordinary by their standards, and have gone through their usual procedure of trying to secure, contain and protect both the Iris and the anomalies associated with it. Like many anomalies with an ego the Iris considers them frustrating and annoying. Amusingly, the Iris itself annoyed Cthulhu; it woke up earlier than he planned because the appearance of a living Rogue Planet messed with the "when the stars were right" prophecy.
  • The various plant-like anomalies brought by Planet Nine has caught the attention of Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing, who regard them all as abominations upsetting the natural balance. Captain Planet is also freaked out by the mutations and chaos that the Iris is causing, though the wandering planet doesn't consider him a threat. The Earth itself, Gaea, was enraged at the Hungry Eye's invasion and sees it as yet another hostile alien threatening her existence. Natives of Mars also consider the Iris a threat, due to the inevitable chaos the Iris brings to the Solar System as a whole. Whether it has a big plan for Mars like it does Earth remains to be seen, but the native Martians aren't taking any chances.
  • The Iris hardly has any real allies, even if it recognizes certain beings as kindred spirits; if it sees something similar to it, it considers them as potential rivals. However, it does see "a useful idiot" in Babidi, who after his failure at controlling Buu was looking for another Eldritch Abomination to control. The Iris chose to be said abomination for the wizard, but much like Majin Vegeta it sees the spell to power it up. Why would the Iris feel it needs even more power? Because it knows about the power creep of the Dragonball universe and that many of the Dragon team are capable of destroying entire planets at this point...that isn't something it's ever had to prepare for. It has also not expected Superman, given that he is sometimes written as strong enough to move planets as big as the Iris and durable enough to survive supernova. Memorably he moved a chain of planets from a dying galaxy.
  • Despite the apocalyptic results of the Iris it is no Omnicidal Maniac, at least as far as anyone can discern. This is why it considers Mr Shadow as a rival. They are both malevolent celestial bodies but if Mr Shadow gets to destroy the elements he will be able to destroy the universe, and the Iris likes living in the universe. In turn, the malevolent Antimatter being is concerned that by corrupting and mutating the solar system his target might be harder to get. However, any opposition is "just business". The Iris also considers Remina a rival but one that it understands a lot more, due to being a hellish, organic and massive Rogue Planet that showed up to nom on all the planets in the Solar System.
  • Because of the destruction that the Iris causes the GUAD is plotting a way to redirect the rogue planet's path in a way as to cause maximum destruction. Their resident manipulator Death Phantom/Wiseman mused somewhat fondly about the Hungry Eye as he is also a planetary Eldritch Abomination and wishes to manipulate the Iris to do the bidding of destruction. The Iris considers this outrageous, but is self-aware enough to know how people would see it. Still, while hostile to all Sol system-based life the Iris in not an enemy to all other life in the universenote  and will consider making some concessions to Mogo if it means protection from Death Phantom.
  • The SCP Foundation hopes that no serious conflict happens between the Iris and other eldritch planet monsters as they do not know what the resulting "cross-contamination" would be. One could only imagine the havoc a Woodcrawler made of Phazon or Fake People formed from material on Remina's surface would bring, assuming they are even compatible. And there's also the possibility of Lavos Spawn "setting up shop" on the Iris. The Iris considers such being to be rivals, but with planet Phaaze at least it muses on being something like itself. Another celestial body it has labelled as a rival is the Sleeper, who wants to corrupt other bodies into husks of rock and crystal. It's best not to think of what would happen if the Sleeper manages to compromise the Iris.
  • The Mondasian variant of the Cybermen have noted that the Iris reminds them somewhat of their own home world. While not alive, it was also a Rogue Planet and they were forced to become what they are today as a means of evolving. That said, this is merely an observation given nostalgia is an emotion and that's not their thing. They are considering researching the "fauna" associated/of the Iris to be utilized for their own purposes, however. Others have noted that in spite of having a growing influence on the whole solar system, the Iris doesn't care about Pluto since unlike Neptune it wasn't corrupted. Given the Iris is also known as Planet Nine, maybe it doesn't consider it a planet.
  • H.P Lovecraft likes to talk about the Iris and has also had dreams about it. Being a consummate force of a Cosmic Horror Story, the Iris finds him interesting. It has been communicating with Shub-Niggurath recently as the Hungry Eye sees something "familiar" with the Black Goat; a visceral Eldritch Abomination associated with lesser eldritch life-forms. What they "talk" about is one of those mysteries, and most think the Iris only allied with the Outer God out of pragmatism. The Iris also learned about the nemesis of the Epic Battle Fantasy Team, the Devourer; a monstrous (in multiple ways) gargantuan cyclops. They dread the idea that the Iris may consider the Devourer a kindred spirit, much less the distant possibility they're related.

[up] Given that she doesn't fit any of the other listed tropes and her hold on the original trope was just hiding in boxes often (and the sandbox that comes with it lists better candidates for that now disambig'd trope anyway), wouldn't mind her being deleted.

Against all odds, I found a trope that Gracia can in fact take to maintain a Pantheon position- Adaptational Angst Downgrade. It has zero representation in the Pantheon as a trope, let alone any deity that mentions it. Perhaps someone can propose a rework with that trope in mind for her?

Also, [tup] for the Iris.

@RJ — [tup] for The Iris.

Regarding Gracia, I'm neutral on the matter. She does have a decent number of paragraphs, but most of them are pretty short and/or laconic. I don't see a problem in anyone reworking her to fit current standards, but I also frankly don't know any contributor who is a fan, or at least is familiar of Samurai Warriors.

So it seems that some users tend to post their drafts in folders. If I recall, one of the reasons the rest don't is that folders do have a tendency to glitch out and make the draft inaccessible. I guess that's fixed, but I'm not a technician, so I dunno.

I guess that's the reason why I don't notice fast enough to offer responses and suggestions for the newer lads. That, and I'm in Dubai ATM, so I'm doing some travelling and touring for much of the time, so I'm not as active as I tend to be in London and Lahore, for now.
