Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:
- When writing a profile, take note of the following:
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
- If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
- In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread
- If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
- Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
- Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
- For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
- For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
- No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
- You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
- The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
- When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
- When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
- You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread
in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
- For new and reworked deities, 3
means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
- For new and reworked deities, 4
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 5
is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
- Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
- For new and reworked deities, 3
- For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
is a 3 day waiting period.
- 4
is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
- For new Treasures or Dominions, 3
- Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
- The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
- Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "
" or "
".
- Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
- Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
- Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
- On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
- You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
- When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
- Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
- Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
- To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
- Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
- When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
- All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
- The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
- A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
- If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
- For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
- For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website
is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site
to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
- Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
- Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page
- Pantheon Content:
- Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
- As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
- Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
- For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
- Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
- For Profile Standards:
- Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
- Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
- Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
- On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
- Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
- Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
- Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
- A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
- Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
- Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
- Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
- Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
- Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
- Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
- Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
- Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
- Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud
or YouTube
.
- Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
- For Pokémon deities only:
- Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
- Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
- Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
- Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
- Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
- High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
- Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
- Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
- Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
- Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
- Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
- Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
- Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
- Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
- Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
- Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
- Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
- Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
- OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
- Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
- The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
- The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
- Domains: Things that the place has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
- An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
- Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
- Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
- Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
- Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
- Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
- Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
- Domains: Things that the item has links to.
- Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
- Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
- Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
- And some more trivia/facts.
- And a couple more.
- Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

It is possible, but the standards for letting in OCs are extremely strict. Only a few like Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way can get ascended due to high notoriety. In this case, notoriety does matter when it comes to fan characters.

SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMY@CrownlessMimic- THANK YOU!!! x3 In return, I shall compile a list of dragon-related deities for the 7th Dragon. Are you looking for villainous dragons or will any do?
@ShayanthanYuhanthan345
- It's not about who deserves to be ascended but if they make a good idea for the project. The former invokes emotional hype like some sort of award which the project is not about. It's about exploring the different facets of the character and how do they connect to the trope they represent. Lots of important or "popular" characters are not Gods here so it's not an obligation to put them there asap. You can still hope for a character to make it here but actually making that a reality requires time, work and research. Question is, are you willing to put that effort to see your favorite character get in? Are you willing to have other Tropers spend their precious time to do the idea for you?
- Also, your explanation is too long and too emotional essay-y. Tropers here tend to TL;DR and would prefer a brief summary on who is this character and why they fit the trope.
- I'm not trashing you, I'm just giving you a better chance at having your proposal approved by poking holes so that you can learn how to improve your argument. So that you won't end up bitter and disappointed when your first few purposals gets rejected and leave the thread.
@neoamon
- Needs more work. Kindly check the pinned post on this thread for the format and you can check here on how to do bullets and other text stuff.
@CrownlessMimic
- Dragon-related: The Dovahkiin, The Monster Hunters, Corrin, House of Dragons, Various Dragon Pokemon Dieties, Maleficent are the ones on top of my head.
@mdalsted
- They gave an explanation here
and I approved it.

“I'm willing to admit that I may not always be right, but I am never wrong.” ― Samuel Goldwyn@Crownless: Hiccup is a Dragon Rider who leads a tribe and is very interested in dragons in addition to being knowledgable about them. As far as specific deities in the Hall of Dragons are concerned, Daenerys Targaryen has raised dragons, while Jake Long and Davion can transform into dragons.
@ Excessive-Menace: How does that rule factor in fanfiction-based tropes?
The Anti-Life Equation goes up today

- Votes: 4(Kaotic Kanine, Necromancer 10, lawliet-saw-whet, Excessive-Menace)
- Date of restoration: 19 September
- Hall: Maximum Security (The Great Treasury)
- Note: Restoration
- Appearance: The actual formula, which is [DATA EXPUNGED]
- Class Level: 0
- Museum Check: Denied
- Alignment: Lawful Evil personified
- Portfolio: The Antithesis of Free Will which Induces the Notion that Life is Meaningless, Inherently Harmful and Detrimental to the Very Concept of Sentience, When Used Incorrectly can Turn into a Zombie Plague, Mind Control, Artifact of Doom, Grants a Special Form of Enlightenment Superpower, Bends the Wills of those Affected to That of the Controller
- Domains: Anti-Life, Tyranny, Non-Sentience, Subversion of Will, Emptiness, Negative Emotion
- Current owner: Uxas/Darkseid
- Former wielders: The Anti-Monitor, Orion
- Source of interest to: The Harbingers Of Repression, the Grand United Alliance of Law
- There is a mathematical formula feared above all others. A concept that was long since deduced by the Lord of Apokolips and is his ultimate goal to obtain, allowing him to finally eliminate The Evils of Free Will. Martian scholars posed the idea that there is an equation of sorts that proves life has meaning..so Darkseid wondered if there was an antithesis. The Anti-Life Equation implants the mathematical uncertainty that life is meaningless and the concepts of freedom and hope are futile into its victims, dooming them to despair and thus bending them to the will of the User. In return for corrupting the user into committing terrible atrocities (the very act of possessing or using the Equation is inherently evil), the Equation grants the User reality-warping abilities that distort freedom over life and death. And if Darkseid has its way with it, ALL WILL BE ONE IN DARKSEID.
- As of the Final Crisis, Darkseid has the Anti-Life Equation. Well, his true, core self has it. Fortunately this knowledge hasn't transferred to all his emanations and avatars yet. His son Orion once had it, but gave it up out of dread and disgust. One version of Darkseid was imprisoned on the Source Wall for witnessing it. Another corrupted the formula with the Black Racer, creating the Anti-Living zombie Mind Virus. Another emanation of Darkseid learned what everyone else in that setting knew (they're comic book characters) and concluded the Anti-Life Equation is the fact characters are completely susceptible to reboots, retcons and Executive Meddling. After learning he was just a toy in a Youtube series, Darkseid doesn't want to talk about this theory anymore.
- The Equation has no single shape or form. It most often appears as a mass of alien glyphs and symbols, but as an equation, it can also be written down on a piece of paper, transmitted as computer code, and even be carved into the surface of Planet Earth. As a result, the Equation possess incredible virality and if used, can infect an entire planet within hours through every means of communication imaginable. To the primitive eye, the formula appears deceptively simple, which adds to its danger. Simply saying the string of words making up the Equation out loud will activate it and immediately affect every sentient being in close proximity, distorting the surrounding environment in seconds. As for the Equation itself...
- Origin-wise, it is believed to come from the Antimatter Universe and cursed Mobius into becoming the Anti-Monitor...at least, that's the most well-known origin. Another theory is that it is utilized by Fifth Dimensional Imps as how they actually warp reality. More specifically it was theorized by Darkseid when the Joker stole Mr Mxyzptlk's powers. Supposedly the imp gave Darkseid a copy: Mister Mxyzptlk + Bat-Mite = Anti-life. The only one who has seen it for sure is Darkseid and it provoked an uncontrollable laughing fit from the New God.
- WARNING: DO NOT READ: loneliness + alienation + fear + despair + self-worth ÷ mockery ÷ condemnation ÷ misunderstanding x guilt x shame x failure x judgment n=y where y=hope and n=folly, love=lies, life=death, self=dark side. Simply saying this string of words will activate the Equation, regardless of whether you even know of the Equation or what it does, or have the intention to use it.
- The SCP Foundation takes preventing anyone and anything from ever learning the Anti-Life Equation very seriously as they consider it a major infohazard. They've dealt with hundreds of SCPs which work on a similar principle and they believe the Anti-Life Equation is closest in nature to SCP-3125. For those wondering, "The Escapee" is an Eldritch Abomination who if perceived enough will replace someone's mind with only wanting to be dedicated to and spread the anomaly's influence and concept. One can only hope that Darkseid never gains access to other info/cognito/memetic hazards the SCP Foundation has secured, lest he try to enhance the Equation.
- I may be a toaster under Foundation captivity, but I'm glad they're looking to stop Darkseid. I don't trust my anomalous effect will even delay the Anti-Life Equation if it was used on me.
- Among the pantheon's high brass Cosmos and Lucifer have called the Anti-Life Equation absolutely immoral, finding for once they agree one something strongly; the inherent value of freedom and personal autonomy. Gaea regards it as abhorrent, and Khorne detests the Equation as it would rob someone of all true emotion and thus starve him, and the rest of the Chaos Gods. On the opposite end Melkor, YHVH and Zamasu want it to be theirs over Darkseid. Melkor himself wants mortals to retain free will as he feels that way they will suffer more, but finds the Equation undeniably useful for his evil. YHVH want the Equation the most and is intensely jealous of Darkseid for finding it. Zamasu meanwhile believes the only way mortals can be worthy of life is by using the Anti-Life Equation to be an extension of his own will.
- Interestingly Nekron, despite being one of the worst of the main Pantheon leaders, doesn't seem to want the Anti-Life Equation. This could just be seeing any life, even robbed of its volition, as a blight, but some speculate he might have a connection to the formula; his inherent nature as an Enemy to All Living Things arguably makes him a better example of anti-life than even Darkseid.
- The Equation can be spread through all forms of electronic media. It's for this reason that Darkseid has decided to try and influence the Grand United Alliance of Machines. Though many of them boast that not being organic makes them immune, there's no evidence for this. Due to its Control Freak tendencies, SKYNET wants to incorporate the Anti-Life Equation under its control as this would prevent anyone from threatening its existence. Surprising the Lord of Apokolips, SKYNET and some other members of the GUAM thought of the idea of spreading Anti-Life through music; given his hatred of music, Darkseid half-suspects they're mocking him with their unorthodox strategy.
- Many within Darkseid's own Harbingers Of Repression seek the Anti-Life Equation. The Lord of Apokolips is well-aware that Sauron is eying up the Equation as an extreme version of his whole rings of power plan, for instance. Different members of the group have their different ideas for how they would utilize the Equation should they take it from the Treasury or somehow outwit Darkseid. The god of tyranny keeps an eye on all of them as he's more than experienced dealing with Starscreams, but he is still amused by their talking.
- The Anti-Spiral believes that the Anti-Life Equation is the antithesis to Spiral Power. While Darkseid knows the grim consequences of the Anti-Life Equation and doesn't care, the Anti-Spiral seems to genuinely believe it's better than a universe that could potentially destroy itself. Moebius plans to put it into his whole hypnotism, while Alduin hopes to learn the Equation in the Dragon Language
- Shao Khan is tempted by the Anti-Life Equation, but deep down part of him wonders if ruling an existence with only his will would be what he truly wants. He has had visions of worlds where he won, only to grow mad from boredom with nothing left to conquer. Of course being a self-absorbed Myopic Conqueror, it's exceedingly rare for him to think about this for more than five minutes. Other deities like Cooler are more open about how while they find the Anti-Life Equation useful, wouldn't rely on it to rule as they'd find it boring. Admittedly this might just be to keep Darkseid from being too concerned over them.
- Big Brother is more willing to keep to himselfnote as he is satisfied with only dominating Oceania without end. His own use of Thought Crime and other tactics of oppression and breaking people's spirits initially made Darkseid wonder if INGSOC had found a piece of the Anti-Life Equation and was unconsciously using it; the fact they didn't need anything supernatural to come close to emulating the Equation is why the New God respects their institution.
- Outside of Darkseid's organization, the Anti-Life Equation is considered important to those living in the Hall of Mind Control. Yuri absolutely wants to take the Anti-Life Equation for himself and transmit it in his mind control devices; Darkseid doesn't remotely see him as a threat, but does think he could be useful for developing the next generation of Justifiers. For Yuri this is probably for the best as he has tried to find people with parts of the Anti-Life Equation in them and experiment on them. One deity that almost found itself dissected in his research was the Hypnotoad, only to conclude to not be connected to the Equation as if its hypnosis can't get past Fry's mind, there's no way it can be connected to something as potent as the Equation.
- It shouldn't be understated that the Anti-Life Equation cannot be used for good due to how inherently repressive it is. Though Darkseid regards Nerose Satanel as a walking, talking Anti-Life Equation he finds that statement offensive; despite burning out free will, it resulted in a utopian society; a society built on the Anti-Life Equation could in no way be seen as utopian. Darkseid admits this, but he also pointed out just like himself his actions mean he disregards the actual desires of people over how he thinks the universe SHOULD be run.
- Some villains tried justifying a potential usage of the Anti-Life Equation as not truly evil, mainly Light Yagami who thinks it should be used on people to not cause crime, or the Dark Judges who believe the only conceivable way life could not be a crime is if it's so lock-in-check to the Equation it'd lack the potential for crime. Darkseid rightfully pointed out Light really wants the Anti-Life Equation to be God of the New World. He finds Captain Beatty wanting to use it to eliminate anything that upsets people as "a delusion to justify Anti-Life", and Darkseid IS able to get away with saying that.
- Before her Heel Realization White Diamond also thought the Anti-Life Equation could be used for good. Now she, Steven Universe and the other Crystal Gems see it for the true force of evil that it is. Darkseid was disappointed by her lack of interest and has called her "a bleeding heart" for undergoing a Heel–Face Turn
- Given the inherently evil nature of the Anti-Life Equation, it's safe to say anyone who wants to get it for themselves either doesn't understand how bad it is, or does and are just as terrible as Darkseid. Jyggalag fits the former since as a truly inflexible God of Order, the idea the Anti-Life Equation is evil is incomprehensible to him. The other Daedric Princes (besides Molag Bal of course) regard the Anti-Life Equation as horrifying and/or antithetical and hope that Jyggalag never gets even the smallest piece of the Anti-Life Equation.
- There are a bunch of deities in the House of Leadership like Horde Prime and IT, who'd have no moral standards against using the Anti-Life Equation should they ever gain it. The only time multiple people had the complete Anti-Life Equation may have been the Anti-Monitor and Darkseid fighting, the former using it in an offensive form, so naturally the Lord of the Apokolips keeps a close watch on them. After talking with SKYNET Sigma wants to modify the Anti-Life Equation into his viral essence, in effect embodying the Anti-Life Equation. Darkseid considers such an idea laughable as he believes all his attempted assimilation with the Equation would do is cause a horrible Fate Worse than Death for his computer code.
- The only way to counteract the Equation are the concepts of freedom and hope, which in the Pantheon, can come in a variety of forms. It's for this reason that Darkseid wants to destroy the optimism half of the Hall of Optimism and Pessimism...well wants to destroy it moreso. Figures like Auriel find the Anti-Life Equation as completely antithetical to everything they believe. Due to its intrinsically repressive nature, the Anti-Life Equation is something the Chaos side of the Hall of Order and Chaos thoroughly, as does the Hall of Rebellion and Revolution. Some joke that besides freedom and hope, Leeroy Jenkins is able to counteract the Equation through sheer stubborn stupidity. The joke lasted until someone was dumb enough to say that to Darkseid's face.
Darkseid: "That. Wasn't. Funny".
- The Life Equation appears to be the one certain counter for the Anti-Life Equation, as in its true form the Life Equation proves life is worth living. It may be derivable from the White Light of creation the Entity created. A possibly related formula is the Anti-Death Equation; used by the Gentry, it appears to turn people into warped and gruesome forms unable to die. Nothing else is known right now, and time will tell if a Death Equation also exists. Someone tried to ask Death of the Endless on the different Equations, but she hasn't said a word about it.
- Rick Sanchez boasts that he can solve the Life, Anti-Life and Anti-Death Equations, and knows what the Death Equation is. And that if he can beat Worldender shit-faced he can beat Darkseid at his own game...before immediately retracting that to flee from Darkseid's Omega Beams. Due to being a proud chaotic neutral, Rick would never seriously use the Anti-Life Equation, though he has mused it's a less conscious and more malicious version of his old flame, Unity. His granddaughter Summer has a positive experience from Unity subverting the will of population, but only because the civilization she assimilated were hopelessly self-destructive. Her problem is that Darkseid sees ANY other will from his own as fair game. The biggest takeaway Darkseid himself took from all this was that he should find a way to ascend Unity to join him, which'd also serve the purpose of rubbing salt in Rick's emotional wounds.
- Though a member of the Harbingers of Repression, AM feels he may like the Anti-Death Equation more than the Anti-Life Equation. After all, as much as he agrees with Darkseid on crushing the spirit he speculates that the Anti-Death Equation might just give the humans he hates more suffering than the Anti-Life Equation. AM also muses that had he gained the Anti-Life Equation before Darkseid, he would be perfectly willing to trade it should Darkseid give the Omega Sanction to him. While this might be AM's way of brown-nosing to Darkseid, there's a good chance he's being honest.
- Horrifyingly, there are rumors that Darkseid wants to use other items in the same Hall of Maximum Security to amplify the Anti-Life Equation into something truly unstoppable that will lead the omniverse itself under his boot. These include taking the Throne for himself, leaving nothing left behind of the old cosmos with the Chaos Heart, and spread Anti-Life across time with Kronika's Hourglass. Any one of these prospects fills any sane deity with dread and the only reason they remain rumors is that Darkseid is unsure if doing so would backfire, so he has to be safe first. That and as powerful as he is, there are even stronger forces who won't let him get close. What he does know is that like the Life Equation, the Pure Hearts are a threat to the Anti-Life Equation and he plans to destroy them.
@Crownless Mimic- Ridley, Yiazmat, and Ouroboros are dragons and thoroughly evil ones. There's also Zhaitan and Mordremoth, the Elder Dragons of Tyria who are among the evilest of their brethren
@ Kaotic Kanine: I have a few villainous ones right now, but really any will do. Dragons in the context of 7th Dragon are Always Chaotic Evil, even the human-dragon hybrids (save for Takehaya, but he still had to be sealed away) so them running into anyone who isn't that would be interesting to explore.
@ lawliet, r-lock: Noted.
I just thought of this now, but I think getting some deities associated with deadly flora would be nice too considering the omnipresence of Dragonsbane throughout the series.
Be awed. Or be awestruck. This is the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
- Plants that kill: The Plants from PvZ (who is only good alligned here), Audrey II, Piranha Plants, Biollante, Cagney Carnation, Flowey
- If you also like deadly people related to plants: Cetrion, Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, Durathror
I hope I don't come off as bit controlling/authoritative despite the fact that I've ascended two profile so far, I'm honestly bit weird out that I come off as who has been for way longer and noone is calling me out on this despite me only joing the project for a few weeks (I've been of this project since early in 2019 but I wasn't as active as I do now). I'm just like to give solid advise (especially on newcomers) on something that I think sounds right.

“I'm willing to admit that I may not always be right, but I am never wrong.” ― Samuel Goldwyn
Quasi-official Pretty Cure Entry Pimp
@lawliet-saw-whet: Admittedly, it's been a long, long while since I played Apollo Justice, so I don't remember much about Kristoph aside from his insane pettiness and black Psyche-locks.
Also, seems @CountofBleck has Ga'ran reserved already, so that's all good news on the Ace Attorney front. Gives me more time to focus on the two profiles I got approved to write a couple months ago, but haven't started yet. Whew, time moves fast!

"I would never consider YOU a waste of personnel." — Kawarino@ Cacofonix: While not terrible, Fry is at best mediocore at the holophoner. In his defense it's incredibly hard to master and when given precise robot hands he was a master at it. Even he would probably dread someone like Cacofonix trying their hands at it. Squidward is usually depicted as an awful clarinet player but he thinks he's good at it
Closer in time to Cacofonix, Saber Nero is the goddess of the Giftedly Bad trope and she sealed the exits to a theater that tried to leave her performance

Lol, I guess my post was a bit too emotional from a certain angle, now that I think about it. I did not intend for it to be that way. Sorry.
I was hoping you would read the part I wrote about Arthur Morgan. I do think he deserves a place here and I'm willing to explain why in just a moment.
Edited by ShayanthanYuhanthan345 on Sep 18th 2022 at 2:59:30 AM
x5 Ah, okay! In that case, Mordremoth would be a special enemy for the 7th Dragon, since he's both a draconic Eldritch Abomination but also a living jungle that actively wants to spread across the world. And here are some more dragons, all of whom from WarCraft: Nefarian, Alexstrasza, Chronormu, Nozdormu, Galakrond, Kalecgos, Malygos, Ysera, and Brightwing.
I also just came across The Ebon Dragon, Ruined Dragon, Fae, and Sparx (who is a dragonfly, yes, but he's partners with Spyro, who is very much a dragon).

This is my first attempt at a proposal mind you. I'll make sure to edit this, or improve it on another post.

. Besides the numerous errors in formatting made here (lack of bullet points and potholes), you don't write a profile after making a proposal (with the proposal being buried in the previous page) if no one responds to it and you definitely don't make a profile without suggesting said idea beforehand (there have been past users that made profiles before trying to propose them for approval). You make a proposal first and can only make the profile after it's been approved by others if someone else doesn't suggest an alternate candidate for the trope.
How to do potholes:
- [[MediaType/WorkName insert name here]] or [[MediaType/{{Workname}} for one word titles]] for media names and character potholes
- TropeName for tropes with more than one word
- {{Singulartropename}} for one-word tropes

Also, I believe that we might have to take some character development into much bigger consideration. Let's say that hypothetically, Guts from Berserk were to develop into an All-Loving Hero. Would that directly affect his morality and placement? Not to mention others like Depending On The Writer, The Scrappy, etc.

Ok....I'll try this again:
I propose for Arthur Morgan to join the Tv Tropes Pantheon. If anyone asks why, I'll be more than happy to answer. He's a highly talented Gunslinger, Hunter, Tracker, Gambler, You name it! I also don't think The Rockstar protagonist lineup will be complete here without him. I particularly propose to him being the god of "Forgotten Fallen Friend". Which I will later explain.

I appreciate the effort you put into the post, but I honestly think Nagash should Lawful Evil Personified if I'm being honest. I mean that to me is a VERY big deal. It should also probably be a singular entity, as I've also seen this typed out on Darkseid. As for Mannfred & Batman Who Laughs....I dunno. For some reason I'm just not feeling it. I mean if someone or something is a living personification of an idea or entity we REALLY need to sell the idea and stick with it. Makes it more impactful imo.

If a character changes alignment in-universe, it's mentioned in the profile (eg, Neutral Good (was formerly Chaotic Neutral)).

When suggesting a character, it's best to get to the point of how they fit the suggested trope well. Saying that they're important, interesting and special is irrelevant in this case.
Don't make double/triple posts here, as it clogs up the forum. instead, edit your post if you want to make additional points.

SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMY@Shayanthan — Welcome. Just a heads-up that you make sure to read the rules as posted on the forums above. For further reference, please look at previous pages to see how profiles are suggested and made as a way to refresh your mind and get to learn the basics of contributing to this project.
It's about time, so here are some suggestions...
- Evelyn Wang — Taught by Experience
- This one is a rather unorthodox example, but it does tie in well to the film's perspective of how the multiverse and interacting with other universes work. Whenever Evelyn witnesses another version of herself in another universe, she gains their memories and their abilities, which she uses to fend for herself and Waymond during a multiversal breakdown. Through understanding the talents, occupations, and experiences of her different versions throughout the multiverse, Evelyn applies them with effective usage, and with some help and advice from her husband, Waymond.
- Clyde Shelton — Rage Against the Legal System
- Clyde was a simple mechanic, that is until a pair of robbers kill his wife and daughter and are given lowly punishments for the crime, especially for the main perpetrator. This causes Clyde to seek revenge against the robbers who murdered his family and, once they're dealt with, turns his rage and violence towards the legal system, intending to tear it apart and even resorting to killing abiding members and upholders of the law and police officers as his response to how the justice system failed to deliver justice for his wife and daughter.
- Morgan Kwon and Keltie — Selkies and Wereseals
- The graphic novel focuses on the relationship between a human and a selkie, which begins after the latter saves the former from accidental drowning and soon falls for each other. Both characters have their issues and secrets, though Keltie's nature as a selkie further complicates things as while she assumes a human form to be with Morgan, the moment she turns into a selkie again for any reason, she has to return to the sea for seven years While Morgan is human, I'm preferring a dual profile as she is integral to Keltie's Character Development.

WHERE IS KRYPTO, I mean, WHERE IS THE DOG!!!So I was thinking, since I reworked Dr. Cortex, why not rework his arch-nemesis?
Crash Bandicoot for Small Taxonomy Pools: the title character of the series, Crash is, well, a Bandicoot, and not only is he the most well known bandicoot, but he's also one of the very few bandicoots depicted in media, even decades after his introduction. The profile itself has some underdeveloped texts and some outdated info.

Depends, in the past we've been against them but overtime we've had a few.
Fanfic characters should only be suggested with fanfic tropes in mind IMO.
