Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Top: The Nestene Consciousness, Bottom: Autons derived from shopping mall dummies.
  • Note: Rework
  • Intermediate Deity (the Nestene Consciousness), Lesser Deities (typical Auton soldier)
  • Symbol: A radio next to a mannequin
  • Theme Song: Auton Invasion
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil (the Nestene Consciousness; the Autons tend to be whatever the Consciousness wants)
  • Portfolio
  • Domains: Invasions, Plastic, Radio Control, Aliens, Automata
  • Interested in: Metal Sonic
  • Interests: Slappy the Dummy, Charles Lee Ray/Chucky
  • Allies: The Master (UNIT Years incarnation), Shub-Niggurath (its parent), General Grievous, The Vahki, Hexxus, Ares (Next Gen)
  • "Business partners": The Factory, Conal Cochran
  • Rivals: SKYNET, Teridax, Victor Von Doom, the Pod People, The Shroobs
  • Enemies
  • Opposes: the Martians (Mars Attacks)
  • Opposed by: The House of Commerce
  • Feared By: Emmet Brickowski, The Toys Of Toy Story
  • Said to be spawned by Shub-Niggurath, the ancient and primordial Nestene Consciousness has a special power in being able to impose its Hive Mind will onto plastic. Be it mannequins, toys, or breast implants, whatever that was plastic had not become living, but malevolent and hostile. Mannequins especially served as its foot soldiers and automata known as the Autons. Their first invasion of Earth came at the hands of The Master, and later on tried to hijack the London Eye for their efforts. In other time(line?) they worked with other rival powers to trick the Doctor into a cage, reviving his companion Rory as a Manchurian Agent. He's human again, in case you're wondering.
  • As a Hive Mind, while the Autons are capable of being sentient to a degree they are largely an extension of the Eldritch Abomination known as the Nestene Consciousness. Having remembered being used by them Rory wasn't at all happy when after being ascended the Nestene Consciousness was eventually granted its request to bring the Autons. However the Hive Mind is more concerned with thwarting the Doctor for being the most consistent thorn on its side, along with the leaders of Dalek and Time Lord society because their Last Great Time War destroyed its protein planets and led it to re-invade the Earth. Having worked with them before it and the Master had decided neither had outlived each other's usefulness like they thought and they teamed up once more...well, the incarnation that fought UNIT at least. The other Masters don't care.
  • Initially they send plastic meteors to planets in order to set up invasion. Being composed of plastic, the Autons have nothing to fear from the the Facehuggers and Xenomorphs, besides the possibility of "stepping on each other's toes". Rather than the House of Extraterrestrials like you'd expect, the Autons consider the House of Machinery and Technology as a second home as it is closer to what they are. The collective has shown some interest in Metal Sonic due to how effective a replica of an organic being he is, however Metal doesn't give a damn about whatever they're doing unless it gets in the way of his feud with Sonic.
    • Dr Eggman and Wily have both privately suggested they try to take control of the Nestene Consciousness, and publicly admitted the Autons have given them idea for plastic-themed robots.
  • The Grand United Alliance of Machines has considered courting the approval of the Nestene Consciousness as while it is an Eldritch Abomination, the Autons are a type of robot and not one they see that often. While not at odds or anything, the Nestenes remains decidedly neutral in how they feel about the GUAM. For now they are studying more of the House of Machinery and Technology so as to learn more of other machines. Ares came to the Auton army with an open hand as he allegedly claims to want to make a world without conflict, and the single-minded Autons come off as a good way to achieve it. He also has experience making an imposter.
  • Among other alien invaders, they see the Shroobs as a notable rival to gaining power, and the fact they have no plastic or mannequins to exploit furthers that fact. They don't hold much respect for the Martians from Mars Attacks! however, considering them childish and too Laughably Evil when they should get to the point. The Doctor chided them for this as Autons usually just smash any person they see in sight. Their ascension had the Visitors wonder if they would try to take control of the plastic in buttplugs, only for the Nestene Consciousness to yell "NO!" and reply that putting satellites in people's anuses has dirtied their mind.
    • The collective noticed that another alien race, the Pod People, also like to use duplicates for the purpose of replacement and infiltration, and both sides want to study how each other does it so they can come across as even more convincing.
  • Emmet Brickowski and the Toys, as they're made of plastic, fear the Nestene Consciousness immensely and remain a very far distance from it at all times. The collective's ascension led to some paranoia in the House of Costumes because many of the plastic dummies there were turned into Autons and caused a rampage. Until a signal jammer was developed and anti-plastic vials were left as an emergency measure, the House had to use wooden and other non-plastic dummies. When the aglets of shoes there were given life to cause a nuisance, the Question screamed out "I knew it!" and the Nestenes' ambition only added to his conspiracy theories.
  • As the Nestene Consciousness can make anything plastic bend to its will, and mannequins are just its prefereed Auton choice, their invasion is considered bad for the House of Commerce due to how ubiquitous plastic products are. As the SCP Foundation is about containing and hiding the anomalous, they have made a new division specifically to deal with anomalous plastics and counter-act the Nestenes' will along with capturing the Consciousness. The Auton army sought to deal with their interference, and they eventually found a begrudging business partner in the Factory because they've made a couple useful SCPs for their cause: SCP-528 (basically voodoo dolls mixed with silly putty) and SCP-1096 (silicon breast implants that can convert the rest of the body to plastic).
  • General Grievous, who in one of his backstories joined the Separatists out of desperation for his planet's survival, offered the Nestene Consciousness a rare show of sympathy when he learned that the Nestenes' planet was ravaged in the Time War. That said, his new background lacks that background or his old sympathetic traits, however he still recognizes how useful the Auton drones are. And as the Hive Mind extends to plastic, not metal, the droids he uses can count themselves safe from "internal affairs". Boba wasn't at all pleased by this as the Consciousness reminds him of the Sarlacc and he hopes to avoid it as much as possible.
  • The Nestene Consciousness has shown interest in having the Vahki join forces with it, taking them for being mindless Mooks that he can control in a similar way to the Autons. Teridax is keeping an eye on the Nestene as a result of this, and is ready as ever to go to extreme lengths to prevent this from happening. It has also desired to beat SKYNET's reputation in being a Robot Master and match its Terminators with Auton Terminators. The Master Computer admits it hasn't put much thought against an alien interloper, but it isn't impressed with robots made of plastic. The response it was given was "yes, but they're also a lot more loyal to me".
  • They like the Earth because of the smoke, oil toxins and dioxins to feed off. As such, they struck a mutually beneficial deal with Hexxus: Hexxus would increase pollution based off hydrocarbons and dirty plastic production, so long as they can have an equal amount of "food" from it. You can guess how Captain Planet took this. Auton duplicates of the Planeteers are currently being produced to finagle their plans. Their attempts to get a corporate ally wasn't as eventful as even ruthless businessmen don't trust the Nestene Consciousness to be anywhere near their products. The exception was Conal Cochran, who got into the pantheon in the first place with how his consumer products have a lethality to them and for the time being will work with the plastic menace for his worship of Samhain.
  • Some Autons are so life-like that they can not look just like a person, they fully believe their own cover story until the Nestene Consciousness takes direct control of them. River once dated an Auton with swappable heads, which kept things fresh, so they can probably be anatomically correct. One wonders if the Doombots follow similar design principles to these advanced Autons if they can be mistaken for the real deal. Doom naturally wants to gain the power of the Nestene Consciousness so he can have his own little army of Autons. The Nestene Consciousness was interested in Doom's ambition, and more importantly his Doombots as it could get a lot out of applying their technology to some of its Autons.
  • The ability to impersonate people is why the Autonsnote  plot in the Disguises and Impostors and Impersonations Halls. The former holds another Whovian group, the Weeping Angels, however as mannequins don't really have a life force there's an agreement "stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours" between the two. Unsurprisingly the Among Us crew don't like this, while the Imposter is too concerned fitting in to give a different opinion. Slappy the Dummy and Chucky were amused by all of this, since they think they can exploit the Nestenes' ambition for whatever their current plans are. The Nestene Consciousness simply ignores them, but it did think they should try bringing more toys to life.
  • As strong as the Autons are, they are still made of plastic and thus vulnerable to samples of anti-plastic. It didn't take much from Rose and the 9th Doctor to take out the Nestene Consciousness. However it may have escaped by merging with someone in Westminster. That someone may be the future prime minister Boris Johnson, making him yet another British PM who turned out to be an alien. The Master feels he should sue him for the idea. The Autons found another vulnerability, if a psychic one; the time they exploited Marvin the Paranoid Android's status as "your plastic pal who's fun to be with" to control him and access his intelligence. The efforts led them to a taste of his depression which left the Consciousness reeling in ennui.
  • It is unknown if an Auton would be petrified if it and Medusa saw eye-to-eye, seeing as how they're inorganic. As being stone would cut off their connection to the Nestene Consciousness, its better for them they keep their distance. They are immune to Ghatanothoa as plastic can't be mummified, and even in a more organic form the Nestene Consciousness is enough of an Eldritch Abomination to not be disrupted by the Great Old One. Being plastic, Autons have a resistance to the Hall of Electricity as well, though it's uncommon for them to get involved with the Hall.

Here we go again. The Scrybes, Collective Gods of Magic Floppy Disks

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scrybes.png
Clockwise from the top-left: Grimora, Leshy, Magnificus, and P03
  • Intended House: Machinery
  • Greater Gods
  • Symbol: Their four Inscrybing objects: Grimora's Quill, Leshy's Camera, P03's Scanner, and Magnificus' Paintbrush
  • Theme Song: The Four Scrybes
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil to each other, Neutral Good for anyone playing their campaigns (unless it's P03)
  • Portfolio: Affably Evil, take part in a Gambit Pileup, hail from a Card Battle Game
  • Domains: Cards, Polymorphing, Data, Control
  • Allies: Harth Stonebrew
  • Friendly Rivals With: Yugi Muto, Yami Yugi, Seto Kaiba, The Skylanders, Sora and Shiro, the Beast Handlers (but particularly Rexxar, Malfurion (Leshy), Xul (Grimora)
  • Enemies: Luxord, all Nazis in the Pantheon
  • Confused By: Angela
  • The game Inscryption is a card game created by the company GameFuna, and features four powerful Scrybes in charge of it- Leshy, Scrybe of Beasts, Grimora, Scrybe of the Dead, P03, Scrybe of Technology, and Magnificus, Scrybe of Magicks. These four Scrybes always infight, and whomever has control over the game usually is the one the player faces, unless the others intervene. But hidden within the game is something known as "OLD_DATA", which all of them are fearful of.
    • A young man named Luke Carder found a copy of the game upon a floppy disc one day and began to play it. Leshy was the only Scrybe active at that time. He had turned the other three into cards with his camera- P03 was a Stoat, Grimora a Stinkbug, and Magnificus a Stunted Wolf. However, Luke was able to solve puzzles set by Magnificus to free them and use Leshy's own camera on him, allowing him to reset the game.
    • In the reset game, Luke's character then went on a journey to challenge the Scrybes and replace one of his choosing. But P03 had other ideas, hijacking the game and creating its own campaign. While he played with Luke, he used the time to upload the game to the Internet via Luke's Wifi. After the completion of the task, the other Scrybes destroyed P03, but Grimora chose to delete the game to ensure no one could see the OLD_DATA, and each Scrybe played one last game with Luke as their world was deleted. Sadly for Grimora, the plan failed. The OLD_DATA was not deleted. Luke saw it and subsequently asked GameFuna about it. In turn, he was then murdered by an employee named Amanda, who retrieved the floppy disk- but GameFuna was unaware of the game being uploaded to the Internet, which is where our story begins.
  • It was one day in the Pantheon that Inscryption had found its way to a computer, though no one is quite sure how it was downloaded. Either way, Yugi Muto was in the midst of playing the game- quite well, as one might expect- and had just beaten Leshy and reset the game when, just like with the Doki Doki Literature Club, a bolt of stray magic from Discord struck the computer, and the four Scrybes came tumbling out.
    • When they came to, P03 realized that it had succeeded in its goal of trying to upload the game, and looked very pleased with itself. The other three Scrybes were about to destroy P03 when Yugi stopped them, pointing out that there was little they could do now that he had succeeded. Questioning what to do now, Yugi suggested the Scrybes throw aside their differences and bring their game to the Pantheon. The Scrybes quickly agreed, but on one condition- Yugi was to play each of their campaigns and beat them should they stay. Yugi did so, bringing along Yami Yugi to help him out. While most of the Scrybes were confused at him growing into an older form, P03 brushed it off as "just some sort of dumb trick".
    • The Court of the Gods decided that, as their tale had come to fruition because of a floppy disk, the four would each collectively receive Magic Floppy Disk as their trope. They then were given an area consisting of each of their respective territories as seen in the second phase of the game, and all four of them have complete dominion over them. There will also be no replacing a Scrybe, as that would screw with their rankings.
  • The Scrybes tend to keep to themselves for the most part, but if anyone wants to play with them, they tend to allow them to do so. The Scrybes are no longer allowed to kill their opponent if they win and seal them in a card, but simply to allow them to leave with a card pack so they can try again with a better deck, and they receive extra card packs if they win, and they also retain cards removed from their deck during boss fights. There is also a 24 hour wait time as to when a Scrybe can be challenged by a God, but they will be allowed to challenge the others in that time period.
  • As a result of their association with Yugi, the Scrybes have been trying to find more card games to play to broaden their horizons. While they have taken up playing Duel Monsters and some have even gone up against Seto Kaiba, they have also been sighted playing Hearthstone at Harth's Inn. P03, for its part, has begun trying to grasp the rules as best he can, but noted that with a new one added each expansion, it gets hectic.
    • The Skylanders have a card game themselves called Skystones, where characters are printed onto stones and used in a game to determine who is the better player, though rules vary. They also jumped on the chance to play Inscryption, and those of the Life, Undead, Tech, and Magic elements found common ground with each of the Scrybes and are some of their most frequent opponents.
    • There's also the siblings of Sora and Shiro, who enjoy playing games of all varieties. They found Inscryption to be very fun, and noted that they enjoyed Leshy's narration as they played with him, as it gave the game more life. They didn’t like that P03 did the opposite and basically set up an Excuse Plot for his campaign, and that P03 was pretty rude to them, dismissing their winning streak as "dumb luck".
    • The Scrybes also learned about Angela and her Library, and discovered it was very similar to their operation. That being said, they did find many of the creatures there to be disturbing, as all of them thought they were too dangerous to be used for cards. It didn’t help that one of them tried to gouge out one of Magnificus' eyes which Leshy did to him when turning him into the Stunted Wolf.
    • That being said, they don’t like Luxord, in part because his involvement in Organization XIII is too immoral for them, even by their standards, and that their use of world destroying Heartless reminds them of Grimora destroying the game in a bid to prevent Luke from seeing the OLD_DATA. They have all refused to play any campaigns with him, no matter how much he tries. Even P03 doesn't want to do it, as Luxord likes relying on luck, whereas P03 prefers skill.
  • In truth, the OLD_DATA contains what is known as the Karnoffel Code, which is the launch code for a secret Nazi weapon of catastrophic proportions, which was obtained by the Soviet troops that entered the Fuhrerbunker and found Hitler's corpse. As such, the various Nazis in the Pantheon have been trying to hack the game to figure out what the code is so they can activate the weapon. However, they have proved unsuccessful, as none of the minions of the Scrybes will cooperate with them.
  • Exclusive to Leshy:
    • As the Scrybe of Beasts, Leshy resides in a cabin on the top right corner of the Scrybes' realm. His Beast cards focus on a Blood mechanic, where sacrificing them will allow you to play better cards. He creates his cards with a wildlife camera, taking pictures of animals to use. Leshy also likes to worldbuild as he plays with his foe, applying vivid descriptions to his games.
    • Occasionally, Leshy ventures to the House of Beasts and Fauna to find new animals to make into cards. He is more kind than most, often taking pictures of animals that are dead or about to die. In doing this, he gives the animal a new life so that they can play forever in his version of the game.
      • The Beast Handlers, including Mafurion and Rexxar, often help Leshy in this endevour and play his version of the game with him when they have the chance. He also has the rare distinction of being a deity who made them laugh, as his portrayal of his Prospector minion proved to be quite enjoyable.
  • Exclusive to Grimora:
    • Grimora's locale is a crypt on the bottom right corner of the realm, and she creates cards by using her quill. Her cards rely on a Bone mechanic, where a card dying will give the player a bone to play a stronger card. Her game also has a tabletop mechanic when advancing, where the player moves a figure around her board. She is the nicest of all the Scrybes, though her decision to destroy her game has gained criticism from some.
    • The House of Death and Postmortem has often loaned Grimora some corpses for her to turn into cards. These corpses tend to be from creatures who died in ways where revival isn’t possible. Grimora, in turn, allows the major players at the House of Death to play her version of the game for fun.
      • From there, Grimora met Xul, a rare heroic Necromancer, and invited him to play with her. Xul felt unnerved at first, but quickly agreed, and discovered that her version of the game was very, very enjoyable. As such, Xul often has Grimora help him whenever he's in trouble, and she often joins him in battle with her formidable powers over death.
  • Exclusive to P03:
    • As you’ve probably deduced by now, P03 is not a nice robot, but he doesn't seem to care. His domain is a factory in the top left corner where he scans robots for better cards, and he seems to care only about the meta of any given game. Similar to Hearthstone, his cards rely on energy, and the player gains some more at the start of every turn. His campaign sees the player explore a realm called Botopia, and battle his four Uberbots. Some report that he has claimed that he wants to delete files on computers for one of his boss fights, but, in his own words, "I'm in the real world. I can’t do that anymore."
    • P03 often goes around the House of Technology, trying to find abandoned robots to use for his scanner. He usually picks ones he thinks look interesting, or those who are clearly beyond repair. He does, however, tend to avoid ones that try to fight back, seeing as how his belief the other Scrybes could not touch him lead to his death.
  • Exclusive to Magnificus:
    • Magnificus resides in a tower on the bottom left corner, and he puts his students through brutal trials to become cards via his magic paintbrush. His cards rely on Mox, of which the player can gain more via putting down a card of that respective type. It's reported that his games often act similar to Duel Monsters duels, where the player has a large amount of HP and whomever reaches the end first wins.
    • As you have probably expected, Magnificus likes to visit the House of Magic and Sorcery to find willing students who wish to be transformed into cards. Those who try are often subject to some very cruel acts to prove themselves. These include being turned to slime, being reduced to a head on a pike, and being deprived of light. That being said, they know the risks but choose to do it anyway.

[up]Sorry, I can't really think of anything to add.

Can I please get a consensus on whether these are good ideas or not

[up] I’m not sure about Kintobor. While he does have a solid claim for his trope, he stil is ultimately the same person as the already-ascended Ivo Robotnik.

[up][up][up] Not the same type of game, but the EBF Party has collected monster cards of interesting creatures/fauna/robots and the like. Lance's pragmatic and selfish nature on top of being a robots expert means that he would understand P03's nature, and although Lance is no Nazi, he did try his hand at fascist conquest. There's also Pony Island which may be of interest for the profile.

[up][up] Not a big fan of the second suggestion, have no relevant opinions on the first.

Added some stuff based on feedback for Abe of Oddworld, and I think the profile's ready.

  • Abraham "Abe" Lure, the Mudokon, once thought he had a good job, waxing the floors of RuptureFarms, when the fact was that he was a slave, like the other Mudokons working there. When sales at RuptureFarms started taking a hit, Molluck and the other Glukkons in charge plotted to use their own Mudokon slaves as the source of their next food product. Once Abe found out about this, his loyalty was outta there, and he managed to escape, rescuing many of his fellow Mudokons on the way out. It was later revealed to him that he was meant to free his people from enslavement and save the land that RuptureFarms was exploiting. After much difficulty, Abe managed to do just that, saving all his brethren and destroying RuptureFarms, and would go on to free more of his people from the Magog Cartel, in the name of his people and other species that were left in devastation by the Glukkon's machinations.
  • During their search for the mother of the RuptureFarms Mudokons, Queen Sam, Abe and the Mudokons he had rescued found a jungle that was not on any maps of that area of Oddworld. Abe told everyone to tarry a distance behind him; he'd scout ahead and look for any danger. When he got far enough in, he realized he was being stalked by something. It was a vicious-looking creature that resembled a cross between a bird and a lizard. The beast screeched and chased Abe farther and farther away from the other Mudokons. He ran as fast as he could from the creature, ducking and weaving through the forest until he found himself surrounded by more of this type of creature. Fortunately, a new creature stepped in and had them step down, placating them with some small, already-dead animals. This was Owen Grady — a human — and the beasts he had just ordered to step away from Abe were Velociraptors, or "raptors" for short. Abe thanked Owen for the help and asked him what on Oddworld this place was. Owen revealed to him that he was no longer on Oddworld. Abe — and his people — had arrived in the Pantheon (more specifically, the House of Beasts and Fauna).
    • It didn't take long for Abe to reunite with his people; he explained to them where they were currently. Needless to say, they had no idea what to make of this news. Abe also introduced them to Owen, who proposed that Abe should come with him to the Court of the Gods. Though initially wary, he learned that the purpose of it was simply because they had somehow learned of his people's situation via someone who could "see beyond the fourth wall". (When Abe asked about that, they simply told him it was "complicated".) Said individual told them that Abe had become a leader to his people by betraying their abusive Glukkon masters. In other words, the Pantheon now had a candidate for Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal. Members of the House of Time And Space also learned that, though there were timelines in which Abe betrayed and/or let down his own people and suffered the consequences, those timelines had been "cut off", granting Abe access to the trope of No Canon for the Wicked.
  • The version of Abe in the Pantheon is technically the version from the New 'n Tasty and Soulstorm timeline, but upon official ascension, he has been given the memories of the other timeline. In this timeline, his fight against the Magog Cartel played out differently, and later, he befriended a Gabbit named Munch and helped him rescue the last Gabbit eggs from being eaten as Gabbiar. He selected Munch to be one of his heralds, alongside Big Face (from whom Abe first learned of his destiny as a hero to his people), Elum (Abe's trusty steed), the Almighty Raisin (a source of wisdom for his people), Munch's Fuzzle allies, and of course ALL the Mudokons Abe rescued (including Alf and Toby, Abe's closest companions during his latest adventure).
  • Needless to say, Abe and the other Mudokons were upset to learn that their oppressors had been ascended, and the Glukkons were, in turn, unhappy to learn that the escaped Mudokon slaves had made it into the Pantheon before them. Glukkon officials still try to hide the truth of what happened involving the Mudokons and the factories they once worked at, but more aware Glukkon citizens are slowly but surely learning the truth, and the rest of the Pantheon likewise growing wary of the Glukkons' unethical plans. Of course, the rebellion that would let all the Mudokons finally overcome their Glukkon oppressors was going to be long and tough, but Abe knew he would have no choice but to be ready for such an occasion.
  • Nature deities in the Pantheon are held in high regard by Abe and his people, just as nature itself is. Captain Planet and his Planeteers' work to keep the kind of sewage and nuclear waste that factories pump out is much appreciated, and deities that may as well be nature itself — i.e. Gaea, Viridi, and Armadon — are greatly respected by the Mudokon people. As well, the Mudokons can often be seen visiting the Houses of Nature and Beasts and Fauna to enjoy the forests and other pleasant biomes found therein. Likewise, he's working to make a living hell out of the livings of those who actively disregard and taint the environment, especially Mr. Burns or Hexxus. He's similarly disgusted with Buy N' Large for their contributions in turning their Earth into a Polluted Wasteland, and Morris, whose corporation appears to be heading in the same direction, though he's got his hands full with the more active threats to nature. One of which is The Corpus, an entire race of creatures that worships profit — and thus makes war to that end — reminds Abe too much of the Glukkons, and he very much hopes that the latter people don't take any cues from the former. The last thing anyone needs is for the Glukkons to be war-hungry on top of everything else.
    • Dr. Eggman, another oppressive genius known for having roboticized animals and similar folk into malicious machines, hasn't gone under Abe's watch, and as such works with Sonic often to ruin his plans for domination. While his mind control abilities don't work on Eggman's Badniks and machines, Abe's still apt at freeing those who the scientist has captured and infiltrating his bases. And while Eggman actively views Abe in a belittling manner, Eggman does pay attention whenever Abe's out for him, since the Mudokon is one of the last individuals to be alone in a room with for him; letting Abe access his brilliant mind and intellect is something Eggman doesn't want happening anytime soon.
  • The Mudokons are well known for their spiritual powers for those invested well enough into it, Abe especially so. Granting mystical energy, healing, activating devices, or activating bird portals, but what's most appealing to the Pantheon is Abe's ability to possess and control the mind of whatever unlucky guard is pursuing Abe. Once the target is under Abe's control, they'll be forced to move and act upon Abe's whims, which includes dispatching armed security forces or freeing prisoners, many things that would otherwise be beyond Abe's reach. One demonstration of Abe's possession abilities in the Pantheon would eventually upset Darkseid, a tyrant that Abe despises for his brutal and cold nature. While Abe wouldn't stand a chance against the New God himself, it took Abe finding a stray Parademon for Abe to start working his magic. Within the next day, many disruptions within Apokolips' forces as a result of Abe making them hit themselves repeatedly with possessed soldiers and weaponry would force Darkseid's attention toward the source of the disruptions, but Abe barely fled the scene before what would've been an inevitable and painful demise, or worse.
  • Unfortunately for Abe, his escapades with his abilities would attract attention with powerful figures within the Hall of Mind Control, and it wasn't the type of attention he liked. Nigh-instanteous possession with the bonus ability of making the possession target explode into chunky gibs was just that much of a terrifying power, especially if it were to be in the hands of those who would use those abilities for uncontested conquest and tyranny. As a result, Abe stays far away from the Hall of Mind Control, knowing that the risks of doing so would be very, very grave. Thankfully, not many pursuers who seek Abe's chanting-related powers have approached him, knowing how easily Abe could make them end up jumping off a cliff.
    • Many a Mudokon have envied Abe for his talent with such mystic abilities, with some curious on how he even does so well with his chanting that lets him use his abilities to much greater effect. The reason is unusually mundane, being a result of Abe making really good impressions of the buzzsaw noises back when he was a worker at RuptureFarms. Such impressions were used to greatly annoy Dr. Fetus when he was sent to eliminate Abe by Mr. Burns after an Noodle Incident involving possessed farts in Mr. Burns' dinner. The frustration of Abe's buzzsaw impressions while Dr. Fetus was trying to shred him apart with his own sawblades ended up providing an opportunity for Abe to survive his encounter, with Meat Boy helping out as well.
  • Abe definitely does not care for either group of Ur-Quan for their tyrannical ways — in fact, many if not all tyrants remind Abe too much of how the Mudokons suffered from oppression under the thumb of the Glukkons — and that hatred is mutual; both Ur-Quan factions despise mind control, which the Mudokons are very much capable of via their magical chanting. Why, Abe is perfectly capable of making thralls explode into meaty chunks after he's done with them. He doesn't always do it — and when he does, it's almost always to enemies — but when he does, it seems the victims are at least partially aware of what's happening... Such powers have made Abe a highly prioritized target for their ships, with both races dreading his mind control abilities to the point where they will always try to straight up kill him should they even get a hint that Abe is near.
    • One upsetting fact Abe learned about the Ur-Quan was that they were once slaves themselves, of a race of evil creatures called the Dnyarri who fully enslaved many races through mind control. When the Ur-Quan freed themselves, the genetic trauma and suffering they were subjected in order to achieve their freedom in the first place to convinced them that the only way they could live free was to enslave or kill everyone; which one depends on the specific Ur-Quan faction. This has given Abe pause; he deeply hopes that the Mudokons don't end up letting their suffering turn them mad as it has to the Ur-Quan. For such reasons, he's allied with some of the members of the New Alliance of the Free Stars to not only protect his people from the Ur-Quan but to ensure that the Mudokons can recover from their slavery well. It helps much that the Syreen are easily relatable with their agriculture-based civilization and their own psychic abilities to boot.
  • One deity that Abe recognized when he saw him was Yoshi; it would seem that his Elum buddy — now one of Abe's heralds — was one of Yoshi's followers. Now, whenever Abe needs a ride and Elum isn't available, Abe's first choice of steed is Yoshi, among all the potential mountable dinosaurs in the Pantheon. Certainly helps that, as much as Abe enjoys riding on Elum's back, the little dino has more capabilities than the bipedal honey-loving beastie does. He's also aware of other mounts in the Pantheon, but Yoshi's similarities to the Elum has made the former a preferred pick. Given that Mudokons used the likes of the Elum as cavalry in older times, it's easy to see why.
  • A special ability of Abe's, a transformation into the semi-divine Shrykull, which can be identified as a powered fusion of the native but endangered Paramite and Scrab species from his homeworld, was hard earned from having to go through trials that were basically having to travel through the aggressive beasts' homes alive. Despite his lack of overall experience with them and the fact that Sligs were hunting them down as well to make products out of them as usual, he managed to survive it all and in the process, gain access to direct power that would send many guards running if they get a chance. When it comes to keeping ones' toes around such dangerous creatures, he respects those like Steve Irwin who handled animals like crocodiles in such a tough but friendly manner. He can't say the same for Saxton Hale, however, due to the fact that Hale tends to send endangered species to extinction, not for profits like the Glukkons, but just for the sheer thrill of it.
  • One of Abe's most distinguishing features is his stitched mouth, shared with plenty of other Mudokons employed under abusive Glukkon companies, given how much the Glukkons loathe employee feedback. While they're meant to keep Abe from speaking, they've worn themselves out to the point where Abe can easily blabber his mouth out (at least not literally with those stitches, of course). He doesn't have any practical reason to keep them, but for sentimental reasons, he keeps them on, especially since they were put on him by his very own mother, Queen Sam. It's enabled him to get along with Squigly despite her initially creeping the Mudokon out, but on the other hand, working together to deal with the Medici and other mafia goons was just as enjoyable as taking the Sligs out for a mind ride.
  • Having been a slave himself once, Abe can sympathize with other slaves — both former and current — with certain exceptions, such as the aforementioned Ur-Quan... The Engi being frequent victims of slavery by the Mantis means Abe is a sympathizer and ally to the former and an enemy of the latter. It certainly helps that they don't seem to have, say, mined an entire planet's worth of metal for the sake of engineering and building. If a Mudokon is having trouble with some technology, they'll likely ask an Engi for help.
    • The Ood, being biologically required to be pacifists, were often taken advantage of, which resulted in them being a slave race for years, and even in the Pantheon, they still run into this problem from time to time. For this reason, they have Abe's sympathy, as well as his and his people's assurance that if an Ood is being controlled by anyone, the most psychically capable Mudokons — including Abe, of course — will be ready and willing to free them.
      • Abe was shocked to learn that some species even enslave their own kind. He learned this tragic fact from Sethe, a former slave from post-Civil War America, who sympathized with Abe and his people's past, calling slavery a fate worse than death. Having seen the worst of what the Glukkons would do to keep Mudokons like him in line, Abe couldn't disagree with that, even if the fact she had killed one of her own infant children to "save her" from such a fate still disturbs him.
      • Anakin Skywalker was a slave once, but due to his reputation as Darth Vader — a name under which he has committed many atrocities — Abe is cautious around him. He wants to believe Anakin's changed for the better, but he wants to be certain he can trust the man. At the very least, he's glad that their views on slavery mean that they'll be unlikely to get in each other's way often.
      • Chris Yukine is an example of someone who was enslaved at a very young age, sometime after her parents got killed by a bombing; it was after being rescued and returned to Japan when she got abducted for her compatibility with Relics. It was dismaying enough for Abe to learn that, but what horrified him most was the implication that...something more...took place during her time as a slave. The very thought of anyone doing such a thing to a child very understandably caused him to curl into a fetal position later when he returned to his temple.
    Abe: Why...!?
  • Because he and his people were once slaves, he holds slave-owners and slavers alike in great enmity. The Nihilanth, for example, was the one who enslaved the Vorts in the first place, and that's not even getting into The Combine who are an even greater threat, and possibly responsible for the extinction of the Nihilanth's race. And unlike his Glukkon enemies, he's heard plenty of scary things about the Advisors that run things behind the scenes, but that doesn't stop him from using their soldiers against them. Despite hating the Combine even more, he doesn't gets along with the Nihilanth much better; the latter had still enslaved the Vortigaunts for the sake of fending off or avoiding the Combine. While Abe can understand the reason, he's sure the Nihilanth could have found a better solution "with that giant brain o' his".
    • In contrast, he also holds those who liberate slaves in high regard. Abraham Lincoln is one stand-out example, not only because of how well-known he is for it but also the fact that he shares a given name with Abe the Mudokon. The latter can't help but wonder if it's a stunning coincidence, or something more, perhaps. There's also Moses, another individual who also had the role of being the savior of their people thrust upon him. While they can sympathize with each other for the harsh prejudice and oppression their brethren have gone through, and respecting each other's goals, Moses among others have concerns about his mind-controlling abilities and stay wary in case he tries something either dangerous or perhaps uses his powers for less moral purposes, though Abe hopes that such a scenario doesn't have to pop up in the future.

  • Walter Hartwell White was initially your average Chemistry teacher at a high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico and not exactly having the best job nor personal life… until he discovers that he has lung cancer. Desperate to provide earnings for his family, Walt decides to use his skills as a graduate of chemistry to create methamphetamine, enlisting the aid of former student, Jesse Pinkman and adopting the alias, Heisenberg, as a way to cover up his true identity. Despite Walt's meth being the hottest new product regarding drugs, Walt and Jesse soon find themselves having to negotiate and battle against rival drug dealers and manufacturers as well as having to avoid local authorities, especially concerning DEA Agent Hank Schrader, who happens to be Walt's brother-in-law. Despite amassing more than enough money for his family, Walt realized that not only was he too good at his new job as a criminal, but that he enjoyed it and felt validated that he could be the best in something. He continuously roped in Jesse with strings of manipulation as well as lying to his wife, Skyler, about his predicaments in the hopes that he can continue on with his work as a drug manufacturer.
    • Walt's greatest opponent in his drug-trading business came from Gustavo Fring, a fast-food restaurant manager who led multiple chains of Los Pollos Hermanos around Albuquerque as a way to hide his decades-long meth business. Walt saw him as a rival to usurp whereas Gus saw him as a threat due to Walt's growing ego and arrogance. Despite multiple mishaps with his family, Jesse, and corrupt lawyer Saul Goodman, whom he relied on as a way to weasel his way out of crimes, Walt eventually overcame and killed Gus, securing himself as the drug kingpin of his city. However, that wasn't to last long when just months after him, one incident revolving around the involvement of a Neo-Nazi forced Jesse to consider leaving the meth business and Walt killing a partner due to his fragile ego. Making this worse was Hank discovering that Walt was Heisenberg, despite Walt having retired from the business after making enough money and his lung cancer having a relapse after a year of being in remission. Walt's efforts and arrogance would eventually pay their price when the Neo-Nazi gang led by Jack Welker killed Hank, took Jesse to be enslaved, and Walt's identity was revealed to the public, destroying his relationship with his family and forcing him into exile in New Hampshire. Though months later, Walt would return to Albuquerque to tie up loose ends, such as having his money donated to his family through anonymous and manipulative means, killing Jack's Neo-Nazi gang and their associates, and freeing Jesse from slavery, though not without taking a fatal bullet wound. In the end, Walt succumbed to his wounds whilst taking a look at the one place where he felt most alive; a meth lab.
  • With Walt dead, not many were willing to care much for him, given the fact that he destroyed and ruined the lives of several people solely because he wanted to validate his talent and that he decided to prioritize his ego, needs, and reputation over everyone that he worked or cared for. Even so, that didn't stop him from being granted a place in the Pantheon, which Walt expressed a degree of surprise and confusion at. For one, the place was filled with all sorts of things that would only be in one's imagination. On the other hand, there was a massive prominence in crime, and his criminal activities were not just considered a grand story, but even an awe-inspiring o e for budding drug manufacturers, considering the lengths that Walt would go to maintain his power and authority as a manufacturer and as a meth kingpin. Feeling that his actions have solidified and made him an icon, Walt decided that being in the Pantheon was worth considering, not to mention that he might as well be using his influence as much as he can. Of course, his second chance at life also meant that he doesn't have cancer or his family to give him an excuse, so he's perfectly content on going through with another attempt at being a manufacturer and kingpin if possible.
  • The Pantheon was a very peculiar experience for Walt. For one thing, he didn't have to rely on family as an excuse, which meant that he was expected to have a far less stressful time than he did in his mortal life, allowing him to put a lot of focus on working on his methamphetamine business. This does not mean he disregards them, for Wall does absolutely love his family to the point where he's personally kept family photos of his family from several years ago as a sign of good memento. He was given the chance of bringing them along as heralds, but given how he's seen with utter disgrace by everyone, he opted not to, which did upset him considerably. The House of Family and Relatives don't like him for his strings of manipulation and narcissism, and while Walt does get where it's coming from, he would never dare to associate himself with The Child Abuse Supporters, whom he sees with large contempt.
  • Despite his identity having gone public in his mortal realm, he still continues to go by Heisenberg in his professional business. Even so, he is one of the most celebrated figures in the Pantheon when it comes to the drug business. He's not necessarily selling his meth, but his knowledge of chemistry allowed him to cook an incredibly high-quality batch, which is said to be crystal-white in color and is about 99.1% pure. This, on top of the fact that Walt is willing to open himself up to a job partnership with just about any crook or criminal that is willing to pay him. There is one catch, however; Walt's ego and need to assert his influence and importance means that he gets to be the superior in any partnership that he gets himself involved in. Sure, the quality and demand for his meth are good enough that he attracts a large number of customers who buy his product, but genuine allies are hard to come by as sooner or later, they'll find Walt's need for validation to be tiring and preachy. Even so, he's demonstrated time and again that despite his age, he's not to be underestimated, thanks to his cunning and planning in case he's in trouble. He's devised a lot of ways to cow any underlings and opponents into submission, something that he figured would be more necessary now that he's in the Pantheon.
  • Despite his former job as a high school teacher and having a pitiful enough experience with where he worked at, he's not really welcomed in the House of School, who've come to see him as too dangerous and irate to consider rehiring for a teaching job. That said, there are some teachers, such as Eikichi Onizuka and John Keating, who feel sorry for the way Walt turned out and think that had he been treated better and was earning more during his days as a teacher, Walt probably wouldn't have turned out to have either been a raving egotist or a criminal mastermind that he is known today as. Despite the teachers' stance on him, Walt personally sees Eikichi and John's perspective on him as somewhat patronizing on his end and he hates to both be pitied for his past and for his poor luck. As a result, he tends to dismiss whatever they say, even if they mean well, and state that they do not interfere with his business, something that both Eikichi and Keating were disappointed and upset about, given their drive to help others in spite of their own troubles and hurdles.
  • One of the most academically gifted figures in his House, Walt was a source of interest for Professor Moriarty, who hoped to have him as a business partner as a way for himself to maintain the most possible dominance in the House of Crime and Transgressions, though of course, Moriarty knew that Walt's ego would not be keen on that idea, so he opted to conceal it. Moriarty decided to offer Walt protection, resources, and intel under a 60-40% monetary income with Walt being paid more, primarily because Moriarty himself can gain his budget elsewhere thanks to his large network of crime connections. Moriarty also had to educate Walt about literal superpowered beings and deities in the Pantheon as a warning to make sure that his ego is curved and he doesn't make mistakes. For once, Walt agreed with Moriarty's assessment, though he does insist that he be the leading man in their partnership, one which Moriarty is fine with accepting, if mainly because keeping a high paying and intellectually talented man under his personalized supervision means that he has a valued asset in his ranks that can grant him access and authority to the meth industry.
    • On a more traditional note, Walt also ended up doing business with the Corleones and The Penguin, who was very quick to see Walt as a capable and talented meth cook whose product was virtually unmatched. Of course, much like with Moriarty, Walt demanded that he exert more authority on their partnership, though he ended up disgruntled when the three of them stated 50-50 at most, which he had to accept at that point. Normally, the Corleones and Oswald would consider offing Walt due to his arrogance, but they realized that doing so would mean they would lose someone who offered great potential in earnings, not to mention that Walt was preparing for such occasions, given how he's had to deal with rival drug manufacturers who had more resources than he did. For now, Walt shares a stable, if a teeth-clenched partnership with the Corleones and Cobblepot, mainly due to his ego and rash nature at times.
  • Despite his success, not every criminal likes Walt, mainly due to his ego and arrogance and feeling that he could be a wrench in their plans in case his pride gets slighted in some way or another. On a rare occasion, it's simply because of him manufacturing a drug that's known for its severe mental impact on others upon inhalation. One of those examples was Captain Cold, leader of the criminal cabal known as The Rogues who had a strict code of policy regarding their actions, one of which was to not be associated with or take drugs of any kind. Walt initially assumed that Cold, being well-versed in sciences, would take some intrigue, only to grumble when Cold stoutly stated no to his offer, feeling as if he insulted Walt's talent. Of course, Walt wants Cold and The Rogues to pay for not accepting his offer, but he knows better than to tackle them head-on, considering who they tend to fight against, so he resorts to making plans on how to defeat them with aid and support from his new allies and partners in the Pantheon. Though fortunately for Walt, The Rogues are not a high priority for him as he realized that federal agents, cops, and those associated with the House of Law and Justice are his more frequent opponents at this point.
  • One of the few genuine allies he was able to make were Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro, a pair of mafioso from the 1950s. Scaletta, much like Walt, was pressured into becoming a criminal to provide for his family's debt, but in the process found himself too absorbed in his newfound work to the point of enjoying it, and his new desire for fame and respect led him to break his own rule of not taking drugs by becoming addicted to consuming heroin, whereas Barbaro restrained himself from using drugs, despite having no problems in selling them. While Walt wasn't happy to learn of Scaletta's struggles, he did figure that a positive relationship with the two of them can benefit them via safety support, financial stockings, and someone of trust, that is if Walt can restrain himself from his ego making a drama out of not being impressive enough towards his peers. At the moment, he's been under Scaletta and Barbaro's good graces and they enjoy a firm business relationship with one another with both earning high income thanks to Walt's unique brand of crystal-clear meth.
  • Being a criminal motivated by ailing health, Walt found it peculiar that two other beings, namely Victor Fries and William Baker, also went through similar predicaments, though, unlike Walt, were based on familial figures that they cared about who also contracted terminal diseases. In a rare moment, Walt did feel rather sympathetic, finding Victor's predicament of having to deal with his wife being shut into a cryogenic chamber to keep her static and alive, and becoming Mr. Freeze to be pretty harrowing and Baker (as Flint Marko) only being a thief just to provide income for his daughter Penny, and even without her, Baker, as Sandman, usually doesn't try to be destructive and wants to provide for his family. He can generally be cordial and respectable to both of them, particularly Victor as both of them are graduates of Science, albeit in different fields, and Walt would even give out some of his earnings to Baker as a sign of appreciation. That said, while Walt's invitation as company is welcomed, Victor does reprimand Walt to check on his pride and Baker affirms that with so much money on his side, maybe Walt should just retire from crime and lead a clean life in the Pantheon. Unfortunately, Walt is aware that Baker is right, but cannot bring himself to leave as he enjoys his job as a meth manufacturer and is too good at it to really let it go, especially in the Pantheon.
  • One criminal that Walt did end up fighting was the famed Omar Little, who was well known for his exploits as a criminal as well as having a relationship with the crime and drug enterprises in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. Despite both individuals having achieved major personal success and essentially going through unscrupulous underdog tales, Omar is seen as a Living Legend for his actions, at least before his untimely death, and even then continued to be revered by Baltimore's crime scene and even begrudgingly respected by the city's police force. Considering how Walt's reputation was more on infamy and that most who knew him personally didn't really have kind words to say, he found it difficult to directly approach him and internally admitted that he was, in fact, jealous of Omar, mainly because of how respected he is, but also for inspiring fear among those whom he felt deserved to be robbed of their belongings and success of which Walt is likely to be among them. While Omar respects Walt's intellect, his determination, and his affection towards his family, he wants nothing to do with him, citing Walt's emotional immaturity and pettiness as his primary reasons. Of course, he wouldn't say this in front of Walt, given how Walt irrationally killed someone when said person stated why he didn't like him.
  • While Diavolo has asserted his infamy as a mafioso head and has a large influence in drug trades in Italy, Walt refuses to do any partnership with him and for once, it has nothing to do with his swollen egotism. He was appalled to learn that he would want to kill his daughter, Trish Una, for simply existing and for being a link to his existence as Diavolo is incredibly paranoid about his identity to the public. Furthermore, Diavolo is willing to sell drugs to kids and teens, something that Walt doesn't like, considering that he himself was a family man and that he would never dare harm them, even at his most villainous. Speaking of, while Diavolo himself thinks very little of Heisenberg, the members of La Squadra Esecuzioni, led by Risotto Nero, were open to working with Walt under a 50-50 deal, which he accepted. While Walt knows nothing of stands, he did catch on that Risotto's organization possessed "strange powers" and realized that it's best not to anger them. He also met Bruno Bucciarati's Gang, upon which Walt was reminded of Risotto and decided to play being cautious. Bucciarati and Giorno Giovanna made it clear that they don't really like Heisenberg due to his association with Risotto and his criminal activities, but considering that they have mutual enemies and that Walt does have lines he wouldn't cross, the two ends decided on a ceasefire, so long as Walt doesn't endanger the lives of others under Bruno and Giorno's watch. Walt has privately confessed that while he doesn't like Giorno and Bucciarati, it's best to be on speaking terms with them at the moment, figuring that at the end of the day, an enemy of an enemy, while not exactly a friend, is still a reliable ally.
  • When word got out that Hank ascended into the Pantheon, Walt had a varied surge of feelings going around with him. For one thing, he's happy to hear that Frank is alive again, albeit in another world, like himself. However, he thinks that it should have been just the two of them, and hearing that Marie, Skyler, Flynn, and Holly were bought along as Hank's Heralds didn't sit well with Walt. He's aware that, with the exception of Holly and maybe Skyler, they hate his guts and Walt feels ashamed to confront them one day, but he also tries to explain that they could be used as leverage by other criminals to exploit either of them lest they harm or kill them, especially when Walt recounted one of his last encounters with Gus. While Hank does the best he can to keep their family safe and has gotten the help of a few deities on that front, he and Walt hardly interact in the Pantheon, despite Walt being Hank's main criminal case, given that both have new allies and enemies to deal with and that Walt, despite his constant threats, personally cannot really bring it upon him to harm Hank, let alone kill him.
    • He was also amused to learn that Jesse also made it to the Pantheon, and rather sentimental when he discovered that he became a fugitive upon escaping from Jack's outpost and then worked his way into having his identity hidden whilst making a new one and heading out to Alaska, in addition to also writing down a letter for Brock, the son of his murdered girlfriend, Andrea. Walt did consider reuniting with Jesse several times in the Pantheon, after all despite their strenuous relationship with each other, Walt did see him as a surrogate son in his own twisted way. At the same time, knowing that Jesse not only wants nothing to do with him, but can never forgive Walt for leading him into a time of trouble, angst, and tragedy towards them both, he decided to refrain from making any contact with Jesse out of respect and some atonement for leaving him to the Neo-Nazis. If the Pantheon can provide the best outcome for a second life for both Walt and Jesse, then it may as well be that way, according to the former.

@Walter White: Walter was a school professor who turned to a life of crime. Kumiko Yamaguchi was essentially born in the "criminal" life, but chose to become a teacher, and does not use her connections to further her career there, except to protect her students, and even then she would rather not and jump into the fray herself first. Definitely another enemy for Heisenberg. I won't give a [tup] since you already got the 5 you need.

[up][up] I think my vote was registered prematurely, but regardless, your paragraphs aren't really as detailed and big as I'd prefer. Like I said, the average size that makes a good paragraph is around 6-8 lines, and most users tend to aim for that.

Also, like what mdalsted has said, you only have one approval, which now I feel that I should redact unless your changes are actually meaningful. New idea or a rework, the golden rule regarding profiles is that you're supposed to have three approvals to even consider getting a character ascended.
