Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

[up][up] Can you find a transparent image of her? If not, here's a nifty site to make that image transparent.

Her title should be entirely bolded, as in Jackie Jameson Macfield, Goddess of Trans Tribulations without the period at the end. (put ''' ''' between the first and last characters of what I've bolded to get the bold effect)

For transgender deities, there's Poison and Mai Natsume, though the latter was changed through magical methods and did not suffer as much bullying in their experiences. Yuuta Kimura and Yui Ootsuka got swapped into each other's bodies, which they heavily disliked, suffering from gender dysphoria. She wouldn't like Pyramid Head, Sadako Yamamura, Kayako Saeki, and Alma Wade for reminding her of the Hairshrieker. Jacket was stuck in a coma dream after being shot by Richter. Homer Simpson loves donuts. If you're unfamiliar with the character I've mention, don't be afraid to research more on them so you'd be more comfortable writing them. Don't rush through this process, take your time. I heavily recommend that you look at other profiles (preferably the more recent ones) to see how you should write one and how long it should be). Also, does she take the form of her dream self or her real body in the Pantheon?

Francis York Morgan from Deadly Premonition is in Detectives. No one else from that game is ascended, so don't add them to her Allies/Enemies/etc list. Interactions are with ascended characters only.

You need to add a lot more than just three bullet flavor points. A minimum of ten detailed points should be decent enough, but more would be appreciated. Each point should dedicate itself to one topic (one for trans deities, one for Hairshrieker, one for her dreams, one for donuts, etc). This does not count as 70% here, but rather a bare skeleton.

R Alexa12th Make a sandbox for yourself by clicking on the redlink, pressing edit, and putting your profile there. I'd be happy to help you with the process and give you suggestions. Feel free to ask me more about how things work here and what could be improved on.

She'd belong in Sadness and Non Binary Genders.

Wilbur Whateley, God of Humanoid Abominations

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/df2ae2893b80b84e0cf474fe9d19f7bc.jpg
His human form as depicted in the 1970 movie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wilbur_whateley.png
His true form as he appears in Russel's Guide
  • Adopted from: Excessive Menace
  • House: Humanoids (House of Otherness)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His journal
  • Theme Song: The Dunwich Horror 1970 OST
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Literal Humanoid Abomination (Potentially With His Grandfather As The "Vessel"), Seeks To Bring His Father To End Life On Earth, Uncanny Valley, Younger Than They Look, Psychopathic Manchild, Cared For His Grandfather, Eyes On His Hips, Hillbilly Horrors, To Create a Playground for Evil
  • Domains: Eldritch Beings, Hybrids, Humanoids, Doomsayers
  • Interested in: The Flying Spaghetti Monster, Hermaeus Mora, Abigail Williams
  • Allies: Yog-Sothoth (his father) and presumably Cthulhu (technically his uncle), The Bakers
  • Rivals: Damien Thorn (more on Wilbur's end)
  • Enemies: Clara Oswald, The Doctor, his father's enemies in general, The SCP Foundation, The House of Canines
  • Evil Counterpart to: Leah (Diablo)
  • Annoyed by: Eric Cartman
  • The town of Dunwich, Massachusetts was thoroughly unremarkable until Wilbur Whateley is born. A strange, goatish-looking man, he displays unnaturally rapid physical and mental development, dogs hate him and he comes off as uncanny. While his mother never states who the father is, Whateley is actually the spawn of Yog-Sothoth itself and on his grandfather's orders seeks to bring the Earth to his father. His true form is monstrous, and seeks to help his even more monstrous brother, the titular Horror, to do so.
  • Could be considered an archetype of The Antichrist, something Damien noticed. Damien seeks the victory of evil and desolation of mankind, Wilbur seeks to move the Earth to the realm of his father, so they are of different minds in what their desired apocalypse would be. He wasn't too impressed with the Psychopathic Manchild, however Wilbur shot back at him due to his allegiance;
  • Was conditioned by his grandfather, who some theorize may have been used as Yog-Sothoth's vessel to impregnate his mother, to fulfill his desire to see Yog-Sothoth destroy the world. In some ways he's similar to Leah, being raised by their parental figure for an apocalyptic purpose. The different is that she ultimately had free will while Wilbur is consigned to his mission and to aid his twin. He appears too childish to get her resistance.
  • Though they oppose his actions, a number of Anti-Anti Christs like Hellboy have sympathy for him as he is ultimately a pawn in his grandfather's goals, instead of being willingly malicious like Damien Thorn. Rosemary Woodhouse pities what his mother must've went through, given her own ordeal.
  • Wilbur Whateley was overjoyed to learn of his father's presence in the pantheon, however it is unknown what the Outer Gods' thoughts are on his plan. Well, more of Old Man Whateley's plan to be honest. Some wonder why and how a being transcending space-time would mate with humans. Some believe he did so as the Great Intelligence through the Dr Simeon avatar. Whateley hates Clara for foiling the Great Intelligence's attempt to turn the Doctor's victories into defeats.
  • Trying to find acknowledgement for his role, Wilbur Whateley located his nephew Cthulhunote . For the time Cthulhu accepts his plans, as they align with Yog-Sothoth. Wilbur was disheartened to learn that Eric Cartman managed to make him work for him by being cute, as he finds the Jerkass to be really annoying.
  • He was ever interested in Abigail Williams due to her connection with Yog-Sothoth, or Sut-Typhon as the Master of Chaldea has called him. She is the Vessel of his father, although it's not exactly something she desires. The SCP Foundation wants to cut their interactions to a minimum for obvious reasons, lest he might suggest she fully embrace his father's will.
  • Before meeting his father in person, Wilbur Whateley mistook Hermaeus Mora for Yog-Sothoth. The Daedric Prince gets the confusion and they share similar traits like existing outside of linear time and possessing vast amounts of knowledge often sought out by mortals and cultists. He remains intrigued by Mora. Wilbur is also intrigued by the Flying Spaghetti Monster, thinking he is some sort of pasta-based Outer God.
  • Dunwich is a rundown, degenerate hamlet in the middle of nowhere. And the Whateley's exemplify this. For this reason Wilbur Whateley gets along well with the Bakers. Joe Baker was very worried about his family because of this, though given Wilbur is ultimately a pawn in his grandfather's posthumous goals he does feel sorry for him. He fears that Lucas might exploit him into becoming something worse, not helped by Wilbur being 15 years old despite looking in his 30s.
  • Really doesn't like dogs, and wasn't happy to learn of the House of Canines. Dogs never liked him, but despite how inhuman he is a single guard dog laid the killing blow and Wilbur's rather salty over that. After he died he disintegrated into a sticky white mass, his blood being a green-yellow ichor.

Tulzscha and Aphoom-Zhah, Co-Deities of Cold Flames (The Green Flame (Tulzscha), the Cold Flame, Lord of the Pole (Aphoom-Zhah))

Tulzscha summoned through Human Sacrifice
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aphoom_zhah.jpg
Aphoom-Zhah
  • Adopted from: Tropers/nightelf37
  • House: Fire and Heat (House of Nature)
  • Outer God and Great Old One (equivalent to an Overdeity and Intermediate Deity respectively)
  • Symbol: Its own green and grey flame
  • Theme Song: Tulzscha (Full Demo) and Aphoom-Zhah (Novii Vavilon) respectively
  • Alignment: Deep And Light Blue
  • Portfolio: Eldritch Abomination, Technicolor Fire That's Cold
  • Domains: Fire, Cold, Otherness, Cosmic Beings
  • Interests: Flame Princess, the House of Ice and Cold (both), The Lich, Pugna (Tulzscha)
  • Interested in: The House of Music (Tulzscha)
  • Varying relationship with: Cryogonal (Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with Tulzscha, allies with Aphoom-Zhah)
  • Additional relationship with: Azathoth (Tulzscha's superior)
  • High Priest: Gerald Tarrant
  • Allies: Kaldr, The Night's King
  • The Friend Nobody Likes to: Their own house (both)
  • On speaking terms with: Regice (both), Olaf (Aphoom-Zhah)
  • Rivals: Brand, Surtr, SCP-457 (both)
  • Enemies: The Auditors of Reality, those who might try to extinguish it, Aerys II Targaryen, Ragnaros the Firelord, Kthanid, Melisandre of Asshai
  • Opposes: The SCP Foundation
  • Opposed by: Stannis Baratheon and Davos Seaworth (Tulzscha), Arctic deities like both Santas (Aphoom-Zhah)
  • Fire is hot, isn't that? That's just common sense. Sometimes, however, it doesn't need much to be set alight. And with these obscure Lovecraftian beings, they makes the area cooler. Manifesting as a green and grey flame, the Outer God Tulzscha and Great Old One Aphoom-Zhah cause things to be the colder. The former radiates a clammy noxious coldness, the latter freezes instead of burns whatever it touches. If you think that's a violation of physics, you haven't seen the half of it.
  • Applies to both
    • These eerie beings are disliked by their own house, and the fact that Tulzscha's Outer God status makes it the strongest member of the house only adds to their frustration. Ragnaros takes personal offense at them and finds the idea of Cold Flames to be blasphemous. Aerys, being the Pyromaniac he was, is enraged by a cold-spreading fire existing. Especially Tulzscha, who he initially mistook for embodying wildfire due to being green.
    • This baleful flame makes them competition with those who wish to spread and burn the whole world down, something they likely regard as reckless. However not everyone in their house has disdain for them or finds them to be rivals. Flame Princess, being the Elemental Embodiment of fire, is fascinated by these flames who emit cold and wishes to both study them and have the Fire Kingdom be on good terms with them.
    • Due to how heat, light and fire is so important to heir faith, Melisandre considers these cold-bringing flames to be the highest form of blasphemy and a mockery of the Lord of Light, some sort of twisted joke on the Great Other's end. And its for this very reason the Night's King has allied with them. As someone who seeks nothing more than to turn the world into a frozen wasteland and end the very memory of the humanity he lost, he has everything to gain by aiding their spread.
    • The world of Dark Souls regards fire as sacred, and as the First Flame going out will lead to the Age of Dark they are eager to keep it alight. Though they do not regard the two flames as abominations like Melisandre does, they don't care for their cold-spreading ways and consider them a paradox in nature. Mutterings in eldritch tongues show they think little of this as they aware they are just stalling for time and the Age of Dark is inevitable. Of course they shoot back at how the musically inclined Outer Gods continue to try and keep Azathoth asleep when it's thought it waking up may very well be inevitable.
    • Both are more welcome in the House of Ice and Cold. Kaldr considers the two particularly useful in spreading cold, and the fact they are living flame is gloriously ironic for him. Regice isn't interested in being an ally, but does find their coldness promising. After all, the Golem is so cold that air starts to condense around its body.
    • The SCP Foundation is interested in them, what with their inexplicable and anomalous nature. They'd rather they just bug off, though they seem interested themselves in anomalies like SCP-009, an ice which has inverted temperature qualities to water. The Auditors of Reality take a more serious stance in wanting to blot these flames out, as they make their job harder in classifying things when there's a flame that behaves in the opposite way they're supposed to.
  • Applies to Tulzscha
    • An Outer God, the Green Flame isn't too proactive, mainly acting as one of the courtiers and musicians in Azathoth's court. Though it consorts with the House of Music for the purposes of keeping the Blind Idiot asleep, the music is unlikely to be pleasant to human ears. He considers Dream to be very important in making sure that Azathoth still slumbers.
    • Has a literal Sickly Green Glow, radiating a clammy flame of lower temperature that poisons. While both Stannis and Davos don't have a reason to outright oppose the Green Flame(and it'd be suicide to go after an Outer God), they dislike Tulzscha because he reminds them of the wildfire that devastated them during their siege on King's Landing. Especially Davos, who lost family to it. Pugna had an interest in this, but Tulzscha couldn't care what he thinks.
    • Tulzcha may be more of a poison or radiation elemental that happens to take the form of a flame, rather than a simple fire elemental. With adjectives like "noxious" and "venomous" often attached to descriptions of the being, its manifestations in the House of Toxicity aren't too surprising. Hexxus certainly seems to like him as a sort of pollutant, but he likely doesn't fully comprehend what the Green Flame is. The Lich seems to, but takes more of a scholarly interest in him and has been muttering about the Almighty Idiot he sings to. The interest is derived from his own Sickly Green Glow and connection to radiation.
  • Applies to Aphoom-Zhah
    • The eerie Aphoom-Zhah is the scion of Cthuga, a Great Old One manifesting as a giant fireball. Unlike Aphoom-Zhah, Cthuga is a more typical form of flame. This makes him technically the son of Cuuko, who was surprised she even had a kid but has taken in Aphoom-Zhah with warmth. The Pale Flame has searched for the House of Vampires as his parent's servitors are known as Fire Vampires, but they consider them way too bizarre to count.
    • Freezing on touch, he is more at home in the House of Ice and Cold than anywhere else, even more so than Tulzscha as it doesn't seem poisonous. While Cryogonal found Tulzscha a bit noxious, the Pale Flame strengthens it. Olaf is naturally wary of the Eldritch Abomination, but otherwise appreciates being in his presence.
    • Briefly visited the planet Yaksh. Some time in the 29th century or beyond he chose to visit the planet again, now under the name of Neptune, only to be shot at by Robot Santa Claus for violating his air space. Usually Aphoom-Zhah dwells in the Arctic Circle, which has got a number of deities who live there on edge. Though its intentions aren't malevolent and it runs on Blue-and-Orange Morality, both Santas have warned it not to start something.

[up] I wouldn't mind that personally though all things considered, this is a committee matter.

Three more suggestions, one inspired by Excessive-Menace:

  • Judau Ashta and Roux Louka, Divine Deities of Hooking Up After the Ending (Gamma)
    • Potential House: Couples Relationships
    • Reasoning: While there is definitely some Ship Tease between these two, Judau's fixation on Haman Karn pretty much sidelined whatever spark they could have had during the series. The fact that the Haman-Judau bond was a central part of the series to the point of battle strategies being formed around it shows how out of left field their relationship was. It still lasts well into their seventies.

  • The Ushiromiya siblingsMembers , Unholy Family of Murdering for Inheritance (Gamma)
    • Potential House: Murder and Assassination
    • Reasoning: The fight over the gold worth 2 billion yen is what turns the siblings of the Ushiromiya family against each other. Prior disagreements, spiteful souls and an accidental gun discharge leads to third child Rudolf and his wife Kyrie killing the rest of the family, including the children in what would become known as the Rokkenjima Massacre. This kickstarts the cycle of hate that is the plot of Umineko.

  • The 20 July plottersmembers , Divine Group of Assassination Attempts (Epsilon)
    • Potential House: Murder and Assassination
    • Reasoning: As part of a dramatized retelling of the 20 July Plot in the film Valkyrie, this group of military officers plus one disgruntled politician plots to assassinate the tyrannical leader of Nazi Germany many times, all failing due to several unforeseen circumstances and the leader's erratic behaviour (changes of schedule, arriving to designated areas too early or not at all, etc). The 20 July plot was the closest and the most infamous of the attempts, actually managing to kill several high-ranking officials.

Tetsuya
  • Returning to and New House: Weaponized Appendages
  • Intermediate Gods
  • Symbol: The heads of Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger
  • Theme Songs: Mazinger Z, Fire Wars, and Kanjite Knight (Kouji), Ore wa Great Mazinger (Tetsuya)
  • Alignment: Between Chaotic Good and Neutral Good, though Kouji leans closer to the latter than Tetsuya
  • Portfolio: Bash Brothers, Badass Biker, Idiotic Moments Out Of Pride, Combat Pragmatist, Reckless Attacker (Much Moreso For Tetsuya), Hot-Blooded Sideburns, Red Tetsuya, Blue Kouji, Belligerent Sexual Tension With Their Partners, Made of Iron, Hurting Hero, Conveniently an Orphan, Would Hit a Girl
  • Domains: Giant Robots, Hot Blood, Battle
  • Heralds: Shiro Kabuto (Kouji's brother), Kenzo Kabuto (Kouji's birth father and Tetsuya's foster father) and the rest of the Fortress of Science, Tsubasa Nishikiori (Kouji's mother in that timeline), Minerva X, Lisa (his Child From The Future)
  • Allies:
  • Odd Friendship: Hello Kitty (Kouji)
  • Rival: Asuka Langley Soryu/Shikinami (both)
  • Enemies: Those who desire to destroy or Take Over the World, The Decepticons, particularly Starscream
  • In the early days of the Pantheon, Kouji Kabuto was ascended into the Pantheon to represent the tropes Rocket Punch and Chest Blaster, two of Mazinger Z's most prominent weapons, and since his series is the maker of those tropes. However, he was cast into Purgatory for his time as Duke Fleed's sidekick, and was originally tasked to make himself better via Shin Mazinger, but someone forgot that Mazinkaiser happened, as well as his highly-extensive track record of combat against extraterrestrial threats outside the usual suspects, side by side with Duke Fleed himself (or even without him) AND as an equal or someone greater instead of sidekick and was quickly readmitted. Thankfully, there's no bad blood between them, with both looking forward for their next team-up against evil.
  • And thus there's a lot of rejoicing by various Robot Pilots, as the Holy Trinity of Super Robot Wars is now complete. Mazinger Z, or Mazinkaiser, whichever one Kouji pilots, are known to be utter beasts in battle on the side of justice, especially with their mighty Rocket Punch (or Turbo Smasher Punch) and Breast Fire (or Fire Blaster). Evil beware.
  • Things got even better when Tetsuya Tsurugi, the closest thing he has to a big brother figure, arrived in the Pantheon under the tropes Orphan's Ordeal and Conveniently an Orphan due to exemplifying the burdens and emotional baggage that he's been through, which has shaped his character, good and bad. As far as Kouji is concerned, this means more than empowering his attack below, he's just happy that a friend/(technically) family member he truly trusts entered the Pantheon.
    • However, a re-evaluation of his trope required Tetsuya to leave or be transferred. Kouji offered his foster brother a place by his side, which he accepted.
  • Applies to both:
    • Together with his allies at the Photoatomic Research Institute, Kouji defended Japan against the forces of Dr. Hell, who sent Robobeast after Robobeast to destroy the Institute and acquire the Japanium underneath, which could be made into Super Alloy Z, which is what Mazinger Z was made of, and which was what Dr. Hell desired so he can make an ultimate Robobeast to Take Over the World.
    • However, even after Dr. Hell was vanquished once and for all before his resurrection as the Great General of Hell, that wasn't the end of the war. As it was, Dr. Hell had made a pact with Archduke Gorgon of the Mycenae Empire. And with the former's defeat, Gorgon let his Emperor know and that's when they made their move and deployed their Warbeasts. These proved too much even for Mazinger Z, but not for Great Mazinger, whose benefactor decided now was the time to step in and save the day.
    • With Mazinger Z out of commission, Kouji (alongside Sayaka) was sent off to America to study under Professor Watson, where they would take part in new research. And Tetsuya would take over as Japan's protector.
    • However, after 52 episodes, the Fortress of Science found itself in huge trouble, and Dr. Gennosuke Yumi made the call to send Kouji back. With the Mazinger Z fully repaired by then (and powerful enough to take on Warbeasts one-on-one as well), he was soon able to return the favor he owed to Tetsuya last year and forced the enemy to retreat.
    • That said, their first cooperative mission since the Warbeasts' debut didn't start smoothly, with Tetsuya being more impulsive than Kouji, probably from "orphan angst" given his director is Kouji's father, which makes more sense in a Japanese perspective compared to a Western one. Of course, he eventually got over that thanks to Kenzo talking him out of it.
    • While extremely capable in combat, both Mazingers possess three main weaknesses:
      • They're reliant on their pilots to move, which leads to the enemy attacking Kouji and Tetsuya out of the mechas.
      • The Hover/Jet/Kaizer Pilder and Brain Condor has to combine to their respective Mazingers, leading to the enemy often trying to keep them from docking.
      • Even with upgrades to fight underwater, their mobility there is crap, which is frequently exploited by the enemy.
    • As their series is one of the progenitors of the Super Robot genre, they of course found allies in those who also codified the trope or followed their footsteps, such as the Super Sentai, the Ultramen, the Power Rangers, and so on.
    • While Kouji tends to be pretty headstrong when it comes to fighting, he's still able to think strategically, come up with plans quickly, and can actually be talked into retreating. For Tetsuya however, the last option is a much harder option for him to even consider (and the only thing that convinced him was of Kenzo once threatening to revoke his rights as Great Mazinger's pilot… permanently).
    • Unlike most Humongous Mecha pilots, Kouji and Tetsuya don't have exclusive Finishing Moves, instead using any of their available weapons at random.
    • Both have had interesting interactions with EVA Pilot Asuka:
      • Though she and Kouji do not quite get along, he has made very clear that she is a fellow pilot, ergo, he will not put up with someone trying to harm her. Similarly, Asuka has asked him to help Shinji grow a spine and teach him how properly romance Tsunderes, but she refused to explain why.
      • With his Pride issues, some noted that Tetsuya and Asuka are a lot like one another, though she begrudgingly respects Great's pilot, especially after some of the times he punched out Arael or those Mass Produced EVA's together with other pilots before the infamous Mind Rape or the horrific overkill, averting those fates.
      • He hates "Separated at birth" jokes about him and Asuka, but after hearing about Asuka's poor excuse of a father and step-mother, he has taken her under his wing, sometimes acting as a protective big brother.
    • Both Kouji and Tetsuya have received approval of Khorne for their fighting prowess, warrior spirit, courage, determination (for Kouji), and anger and Bloodlust (for Tetsuya). Kouji was pretty disgusted and Tetsuya was sickened and angry for getting a Chaos God's approval, but their main reactions were an emphatic (for Kouji)/spiteful (for Tetsuya) "Meh!".
    • Even if he's not in the Pantheon proper, after Kouji's return, he has also gained the ability to summon the spirits and apparitions of Duke Fleed and the Grendizer. When the spirits come together, and his other friends Tetsuya and Ryoma are nearby with any Getter Robo incarnations, Kouji is able to invoke one of the more powerful attacks of the GUAG Robot War Division: The Final Dynamic Special.

  • Exclusive to Kouji:
    • Unlike most robot pilots back then and long after, his first foray as a robot pilot…wasn't the best, and his initial inexperience was plain to see. It's only thanks to Mazinger's weaponry and armor, as well as his own adaptability, that he was able to survive long enough to learn the ropes and become the legend he is today.
    • Just because he's a mecha pilot doesn't mean he's helpless off of it. Prior to inheriting the Mazinger Z, he was a delinquent, and that meant he was rough on the streets. He's even effortlessly beaten several Iron Masks/Crosses that have attacked him and his friends multiple times (though in the manga, he almost died from three of them the first time before a BigDamnHeroes moment saved him). He also has a ray blaster for ground combat.
      • And come the Shin Mazinger timeline, there's a whole armory's worth of ray weaponry and Chogokin Z-made blades also made by his grandpa Juzo Kabuto in their shared temple. And in addition to the regular Jet Scrander, there's also the God Scrander, which can transform itself and Mazinger Z into a flying Big Bang (Rocket) Punch.
    • His time spent in Purgatory eventually helped Kouji's… um… lack of tact, especially around women, esepcially after he finally fully remembered his Character Development in Great Mazinger.
    • He tries his best to keep innocents out of the line of fire in his battles against foes, even if there are too many he can't due to not being on the scene in time. He still remembers the time where a poacher's dog ended up as a casualty and her owner beat him up blind for it (though because the enemy then killed one of the dog's puppies and framed Kouji for it). He detests those who frame others for the same reason.
    • It doesn't matter how weak or frail one's mecha is; if they're able to fight and not get themselves killed doing so, Kouji will be proud to call them an ally. Boss and his Boss Borot and the numerous times they've saved Kouji and his friends proved that to him.
    • Kouji dislikes those who use cybernetic soldiers robbed of their soul, given that these are what the Iron Mask/Iron Cross Soldiers he's fought are like. Same goes for those who raise the dead, since that's where Dr. Hell gets his Iron Mask/Iron Cross soldiers from.
    • During his tenure as Duke Fleed's sidekick, Kouji also had Maria Grace Fleed as a Love Interest (though he didn't seem to be aware of it), though that ship eventually sunk when Duke and Maria had to depart to their homeworld to rebuild it after the Final Battle.
    • As it turns out, the Super Robot Wars timelines weren't the first crossover for the "Mazinger family". That honor goes to the Transformers. He first met the Autobots as "adversaries" duped into fighting him by Dr. Hell and Baron Ashura. When both sides realized the deception, the Robobeasts got him pinned down (he was holding Bumblebee at the time and was protecting him), but was saved in the nick of time by Boss Borot atop Grimlock (whom he had befriended while searching the scrap yard).
      • Some time after, the Decepticons offered Baron Ashura their assistance, and struck again. Among other things that had happened in the meantime, Hot Rod was enamored by Aphrodite A, the boys played soccer with Bumblebee and Jazz, and so on.
      • During the battle against the Decepticons, Starscream incorporated Mazinger's spare parts and Photonic Energy to become Mazinscream and turn on Megatron (as per usual) although he wasn't able to control it. Baron Ashura tried to have the Decepticon captured but he vaporized all the Robobeasts due to his Energon and the Photonic Energy going out of control. It took Kouji, Optimus, and Megatron cooperating to put a stop to him. The resulting energy outburst forged a portal that took all the Cybertronians back to where they came from.
      • Ever since hearing of Kouji being in the Pantheon, Starscream has resumed his efforts to acquire more Photonic Energy, which has also landed him in Tetsuya's bad graces.
    • In regards to how he got Mazinkaiser, it's from an alternate timeline where during a battle against Dr. Hell's Robobeasts (alongside Tetsuya), his Hover Pilder got separated as Mazinger Z itself was stolen, and the Pilder automatically took him to a secret base by his grandfather. Apparently, Juzo had been making a Super Robot superior even to his son's project Great Mazinger, and is made of Z Alpha alloy. However, controlling it was much more difficult and came at great risk if used incorrectly. Of course, like with Mazinger Z, Kouji eventually mastered its use. And it also comes with its own Scrander, the Kaizer Scrander.
    • Being a surprisingly superb chef in the Shin Mazinger timeline, he gets along with the House of Food marvelously. Often he visits the place to trade recipes and tips. General consensus is his food is delicious, not matter how ridiculous it looks. Shinji Ikari frquently asks him for culinary tips.
    • Ever since a trio (or more) of assassin android girls tried to do him in in several timelines outside of his main animé one, Kouji is slow to trust all robot girls, though he eventually got to trust the ones in the GUAG.
    • Thanks to his adventures in Super Robot Wars, it has been known that Kouji has somehow tamed one of the most dangerous Mazingers ever, complete with deadly Rocket Punch and Chest Blaster known to man, even rivaling the Mazinkaiser. It used to be a reality-destroying abomination bent on destroying all worlds until it's the only Super Robot in existence, but Kouji tamed it nonetheless. Its name is… ITS NAME IS… Mazinger ZERO.
    • Speaking of Shin Mazinger Zero, he's been told by his grandfather before he died that whoever pilots Mazinger-Z has the potential to become a god or a devil. As that timeline loops show, this is NOT an exaggeration. If not piloted at all or by someone dominated by negative emotions, Mazinger Z will evolve into an Eldritch Abomination with world-destroying power.
      • Because of that, it's imperative that nothing else so much as makes contact with the head to interface with it in place of the Pilders.
    • In the Shin Mazinger timeline, Zeus was part of a spacefaring race (the Mycenae Empire), and commander of the Earth District Front. He did not want its inhabitants to be destroyed, and turned against his kind to protect them. And Hades was a God of Evil. Of course, the versions in the Pantheon aren't like that, but he managed to befriend Disney!Zeus, who was still a different Zeus altogether, but he liked Kouji's recounting and decided he would lend him a hand (not literally, though, so no Rocket Punches from him) should he need it.

  • Exclusive to Tetsuya:
    • Tetsuya's no stranger to harsh training even in childhood, since that's what he got from Kenzo in his youth when he was adopted. He had hated it back then, but it helped him become a great pilot for the Great Mazinger, and presumably he also learned how to fight on foot from this training, too.
    • Tetsuya once had a fairly traumatic childhood incident that he managed to forget about (though the fear and pain of it still remained). That memory was of his childhood friend Saburo, who owned a canary while Tetsuya had a hawk. His hawk had attacked Saburo while trying to eat the canary and had blinded him as a result. Tetsuya had blamed himself for it like crazy. He had since managed to get over it enough that it doesn't hamper his combat ability,
    • The reason why Tetsuya didn't step in until the Warbeasts were beating up Mazinger Z was because of orders from Dr. Kenzo Kabuto (who was Faking the Dead, having been turned into a cyborg by his father, and didn't want his children to know the truth at the time), and because they were training for the fated day of the Mycenae Empire's resurgence.
    • Just like Kouji, Tetsuya is no slouch in ground combat, being very proficient in shooting.
    • Besides improved versions of Mazinger Z's weapons, Great Mazinger has the Thunder Break (which can be fired at a weaker charge to break someone out of hypnosis), a Great Boomerang, and even summon a sword (Mazinger Blade, and in twos even).
    • While Great Mazinger already has wings, there's also a Jet Booster that Tetsuya can attach his mech to for even faster flying. It's also able to "launch" itself out of Great to fire rays at and ram into enemies to finish them off.
    • Is very wary of voodoo magic, given one Warbeast put a curse on him and duped Boss into doing the same.
    • Knows what it's like to have a crush on one's teacher, having been the same once, complete with heartbreak after she got married and stopped teaching.
    • While he hadn't appear much in a while, Tetsuya was also known as one of the great stalwarts of the Super Robot Wars, though not as much as Kouji, but he's always ready to fight evil wherever they come. Some say that Tetsuya was humbled after a certain event that he willingly lets Kouji get all the glory, or used himself as a testing bed to see if the threat is great enough. Also to note, when he first ascended under his previous title, the Final Dynamic Special attack grew stronger.
    • It is also worth noting that Tetsuya made such a great prowess that when Sanger Zonvolt first appeared… he pretty much single-handedly impressed him and becoming the latter's earliest Worthy Opponent, before being friends later.
    • He's surprised when he visited the House of Family… and found out that there are a LOT of bad parents out there, some even monstrous. People like that quickly entered his 'dislike' list, because being an orphan without parents is horrible, but having parents THAT horrible would be even worse.
    • While he dislikes evil beings at most, Millenium is pretty high on his list, even when he's humanoid. This is because he always tried to goad Tetsuya to keep war going, because people like him "can only find meaning in war, and if war ends, then what?". Tetsuya usually tells him to shut the hell up, he'll happily show that he's more than just a combatant, thanks to various friendships.
    • Some good-natured pranksters seems to make up short stories that presses on Tetsuya's flaws then played them for laughs. When he came across those stories… well, Tetsuya instead found them Actually Pretty Funny and even 'positively' comments on some of his old flaws.
    • After taking absence in the realm of Super Robot Wars, Tetsuya made a triumphant return and brought in a powerful new 'ally' to pilot, letting him go toe to toe power-wise with the likes of Kouji's Mazinkaiser as his upgrade for the Great Mazinger. He calls it... Mazin Emperor G.

  • When it comes to weaponized appendages, there are all sorts available from where they come from. The arms, the hands, the legs, the eyes, the fingers, the butt, the nose, the horn, the tail(s), the tentacles, the wings, the pincers, you name it.
    • And then, for the sake of Fanservice, there are weapons straight from the woman's mammaries. Codifying this trope, and being referenced or parodied in many other examples to follow, is Sayaka Yumi, or—to be exact—her mecha the Aphrodite A (and later the Diana A). And she was definitely annoyed that she hadn't joined as a Pantheon goddess sooner.
    • Back when Tetsuya represented Orphaned Children, his partner Jun Hono was intended to join him after it was realized she wasn't up either. But when it became apparent that his title wasn't an appropriate fit and it was decided that he join Kouji, it was also decided that Jun join Sayaka instead, since her trope also applies to her Venus A.
  • Applies to both:
    • While Sayaka does pilot a Venus A in other timelines, the one here is in use by Jun.
    • Curiously, the Diana A and Venus A are perfectly capable of swimming like most biological land animals do, compared to Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, which sink easily, though are still capable of underwater movement with foot thrusters and the Jet Scrander/Scramble Dash.
    • Have a bad opinion on impersonators, given the enemy once made a Robot impostor of Sayaka's father in order to sabotage Mazinger Z. They even did it again with Kouji. And then one Warbeast Helena pretended to be Jun, as well as when Marquis Janus replaced one of their colleagues Karen for an infiltration scheme.
    • Also despise biker gangs, given one stole Sayaka's then-new Scarlet Mobile (which doubles as the cockpit for the Diana A) by one Jeronimo of the Circuit gang, and Jun was similarly harassed by another gang before Warbeast Theodorus attacking the city broke off the conflict.
    • There came news of an alternate timeline where the Kabuto family and Duke Fleed don't exist, where giant robots were the norm, and where Sayaka and Jun plus Hikaru Makiba and Maria Grace Fleed plus Cutey Honey are members of a secret organization/private investigation agency for solving crimes related with mechas and cyborgs, and are known only their team's name: the Mazinger Angels.
      • In account of that, given all the threats in the Pantheon, it was decided to "transplant" their mechas from that timeline to here for a better fighting chance, given that those mechas seem to have all sorts of new armaments, including their own versions of the Mazingers' weapons. Sayaka opted to obtain the Aphrodite A there while still keeping her default Diana A. Jun on the other hand opted for a straight-up upgrade of her Venus A to that timeline's version.
    • And then another bonus from the Shin Mazinger Zero timeline came available for Sayaka; the Artemis A, a much more powerful mecha in league with Great Mazinger itself, and a more responsive piloting system that lets her move it as fluidly as her own body. The rub? The suit meant for interfacing with it is... really Stripperiffic, and so she very strongly insists that communications from her are voice-only.
    • The two eventually got to know the EVA pilot Asuka during her (separate) visits with Kouji and Tetsuya. One thing led to another, and they've eventually started talking about forming a Great Tsundere Alliance, to the consternation of the Mazinger pilots.

  • Exclusive to Sayaka:
    • Compared to Kouji's disastrous beginnings, Sayaka has been specially trained to pilot her mecha, the Aphrodite A, and also had to show Kouji the ropes when it comes to operating his Humongous Mecha (it helps that both use the same control scheme and Aphrodite A's own Partner Circuit). That said, she's been unable to contribute much in the fight against Dr. Hell's Robobeasts not through any fault of her own, but because Aphrodite A (and Diana A after it) wasn't equipped enough to handle them. That's not to say she was useless, of course. Besides supporting Mazinger Z in battle and probing the Robobeasts for their weapons, she's even netted a few Robobeast kills (Minerva X, Gunbina M5, Gian F3, Gilania Beta 5), and several Iron Mask and Iron Cross ones. She also carries a ray blaster for defense on the ground.
    • While most heroes definitely possess Heroic Spirit to prevail against great odds, it's clear that Sayaka actually possesses more of that than Kouji given that she's always underpowered, she's well aware of that, she always gets beaten badly, and yet she continues to fight.
    • Her dymanic with Kouji had a lot of ups and downs, and they've certainly had plenty of heated arguments, but ultimately they ended up together.
    • Due to her constant desire to prove herself, any misogynistic comments easily set her off, as Kouji himself can attest to.
    • During the time the Autobots were at the Photoatomic Research Institute, Hot Rod had fostered a buried infatuation with Aphrodite A. Upon meeting Sayaka again in the Pantheon, he was sad to hear that Aphrodite was gone, destroyed beyond repair from a Robobeast attack. Sure, she has the Mazinger Angels version, but it just isn't the same.
    • Doesn't like to talk about that time when Kouji exploited her lack of… cover (it was a Beach Episode and he had "accidentally" pulled her bikini loose) to get the upper hand on attacking Iron Masks.

  • Exclusive to Jun:
    • Like Tetsuya, Jun was an orphan adopted by Kenzo Kabuto, and was trained to become the pilot for Great Mazinger's combat support Venus A.
    • It's true that Kenzo Kabuto neglected her over Kouji, Shiro, and Tetsuya, and rarely showed that he cared for her other than as a soldier. It's also true that this drove her to become independent, strong-willed, and self-reliant. But this does not mean she condones harsh parenthood. After all, favoritism aside, Kenzo treated Tetsuya the same way, and he developed a massive Inferiority Superiority Complex that drove a wedge between him and Kouji when they first fought together extensively and ultimately led to their father's death.
    • While she does possess a ray blaster for ground combat, she's also experienced with rifles, since the Fortress of Science has them for its staff to hold off intruders.
    • Has particular pity for those forced into serving as weapons for evil, just like one Warbeast Cleo, who had learned to appreciate humanity during her time as an undercover cyborg. It's a sentiment she shares with Boss and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Tetsuya (because he was the last to be aware of that particular situation).
    • Venus A has its own Scrander like Mazinger Z does (Great Mazinger instead has retractable wings). And she's able to carry not only Diana A with it, but Boss Borot as well.
    • In the event the Great Mazinger cannot fire off its Thunder Break, the Venus A can do that in its stead.

[up] I did say her headband could work.

Here's my in-progess Muse profile. I'd like some questions answered before I complete it.

For Honoka, any other Determinators that aren't mentioned in her profile? Any Book Dumb deities?

For Hanayo, anyone else who's sensitive/insecure regarding their weight?

For Nico, any other Attention Whores here?

Anything else to mention that I missed?

  • Otonokizaka High School is a prestigious all-girls school located in Tokyo's Akihabara, Kanda, and Jinchoubou's neighbourhoods, with a long-standing history. Unfortunately, due to an increasingly low number of applicants to the school, it lead to the increasingly real possibility of the school's doors shuttering once all of its students graduate. Second year student Honoka Kosaka refuses to let her beloved school die, and begins hatching a plan to save it by boosting its popularity. Seeing how rival school UTZ is popular because of its idol group A-RISE, she gets the idea to save her school by forming her own idol group. Starting by recruiting her childhood friends Kotori Minami and Umi Sonoda, they form idol group μ's, with all the responsibilities it entails. They recruit 6 other members into the group, like shy Hanayo Koizumi, tomboyish Rin Hoshizora, sisterly Nozomi Tojo, coolheaded Eli Ayase, intelligent Maki Nishikino, and shrewd Nico Yazawa, and soon μ's would end up soaring to new heights as Japan's hottest idol group, especially when they tackle the biggest idol competition in the country, "Love Live!". While the group disbanded due to the third years graduating, they have made their impact on the idol scene and forged lifelong friendships with each other.
  • μ's is divided into three sub-units, made up of three members of the group. The sub-units distinguish themselves from each other with differing music styles while keeping consistent with the Pop genre and Idol culture μ's focuses on.
    • Printemps (Honoka Kosaka, Kotori Minami, Hanayo Koizumi) are the "Smile" sub-unit, which focuses on songs that are upbeat and cheerful, with many references to love, friendship, and sweets. However, they can also take on a darker, more sorrowful tone on occasion to show their versatality.
    • lily white (Umi Sonoda, Rin Hoshizora, Nozomi Tojo) is the "Pure" sub-unit, which has a slower, softer tone with an elegant and dreamlike feel, and the sound is inspired by the idol music of the seventies and eighties, adding a nostalgic spice to their tracks.
    • BiBi (Eli Ayase, Maki Nishikino, Nico Yazawa) is the "Cool" sub-unit, who unlike the previous two sub-units are much more varied in style due to the members varied personalities, and so their songs can vary from love songs to Electronic Dance Music to ballads while still reflecting the overall sharp style of the trio.
  • The girls initially arrive to the Pantheon when they were listed for a concert performance. Despite them disbanding, the venue was confidant in bringing them up to ressurect them for a new audience. Arrive to the Pantheon via train, the girls were confused by their new surroundings, but upon being told of their new purpose, they reunited, no longer restrained by school grades forcing them apart. The concert was a smashing success, with packed crowds waving their glowsticks in excitement as μ's preformed on stage. When it was over, the girls received a standing ovation, and they received their divine title of Dancing Themes shortly after. The group, fully reformed, aim to entertain and enjoy their new Pantheon lives.
  • (idols) Since their ascension and reformation, μ's became one of the biggest pop acts in the Pantheon, attracting large crowds to their concerts. It would be inevitable that they would encounter other idols within the Pantheon.
    • (School musicians) The girls also ended up meeting up with other school-age musicians of the Pantheon, of which there are plenty to find.
    • (other musicians)
    • Being of the biggest idol sensations of Japan in their world, it was no surprise that people would look up to them as inspirations. One of such people inspired by µ's would be Chika Takami, who along with longtime friend You Watanabe would form Aquors, and eventually recruit seven more into the group. Of course, they faced many more challenges along the way, such as saving their school from closure, competing against more popular idols, and trying to make themselves stand out instead of being seen as a μ's imitator. Knowing that their inspiration ascended to the Pantheon before them, they were honestly nervous about encountering them, fearing that their idols will be disappointed in them. Eventually, Aquors swallowed their courage and met up with µ's... While the girls did scold their fans for certain things, like Honoka scolding Chika for being excited at the prospect of her school closing down and Umi's disappointment in Kanan getting too reckless with their first Love Live performance, resulting in them losing and straining her relationship with Mari, they ultimately expressed sympathy, respect, and praise for the group for their hard work and effort, knowing that their problems were much higher than their own. Aquors was sent over the moon having received praise from their idols, and they end up their loudest fans during their concerts. They gleefully await the day they share the stage together.
  • μ's was formed in the intention of saving Otonokizaka High School from closing due to a lack of new students. They were able to successfully save their school through their massive popularity gained with hard work and effort. They met up with two other deities who also went through similar trials like Julis-Alexia von Riessfeld and Marnie. Julis participated in the Festa to save a downtradden orphanage in her Lieseltania, the land she rules over, and Marnie aimed to become the Pokemon champion of the Galar region to save her dying hometown of Spikemuth. The two girls are impressed with the girls massive success in not only saving their school, but becoming a nationwide phenomenon while μ's is amazed that they tried to accomplish their objectives single-handedly. The two girls became fervent supporters of μ's while the idols return the favor by visiting the orphanages and Spikemuth whenever they're available.
  • One of their biggest, most vocal fans is SiIvaGunner, who likes to use their songs, especially "Snow Halation" in his high quality rips. The girls quickly bonded with him and even collaborate with him for a few very special rips on occasion. Of them all, Nozomi gets along with him the most, and was amused when she heard of one of friends named Nozoomy, a Fun Size version of her. Needless to say, they hate the Voice Inside Your Head for altering the channel because of his hatred of them and their music, believing he's doing a favor for the fans by deleting their songs from the world. Likewise they respect Chad Warden for defeating the Voice and restoring the channel back to what it was, with Chad returning their thanks, and they do get along with him, crude language notwithstanding.
  • (Honoka: determination) Honoka is the energetic founder and of μ's. Optimistic and full of energy, she's determined to see her goals realized, but can overexhert herself if she pushes herself too much. Her spirit and drive allowed μ's to reach greater heights and become a sensation.
    • (Book Dumb)
    • (cuteness) If there's anything Honoka loves more than idols, it's cuteness.
    • Honoka's family runs a traditional sweet shop named "Homura", which also functions as her home. Ironically, she doesn't like red bean and white bean paste despite those items being on her families menu. She still ended up meeting Chiya Ujimatsu, a girl who works at her family's traditional Japanese sweets cafe and became good friends, though Honoka is still confused by Chiya's strange nicknames for her food items. On a side note, Honoka loves to eat anything bread related, and this is how she became one of Kazuma Azuma's regular customers, buying as many tasty meals from him.
  • (Kotori: devotion) Kotori is Honoka's longtime childhood friend, the daughter of the chairwoman of the school boad, and the fashion designer of the group. She's incredibly devoted to Honoka, always willing to back up her ideas and opinions with great enthusiasm.
    • Kotori, being the fashion designer of the group, is the one responsible for the costumes they wear during preformances and even aims to become a professional fashion designer in the future, which caused a conflict in the group when her decision to go overseas to study fashion comes up. She met up with other aspiring fashion designers of the Pantheon like Rarity, Tomoyo Daidouji, and Erika Kurumi. She idolizes Rarity for her success in eventually expanding her Carousel Boutique to other locations such as Manehatten, though was surprised by her more melodramatic moments. Her initial encounter involved Erika crashing into her and being her typical exhuberent self, but things went smoother when she praised Kotori's designs for the groups costumes. She appreciates Tomoyo's talent in designing and sewing multiple outfits for her cousin Sakura Kinomoto, plus they bonded further over their shared devotion to their friends.
    • Prior to μ's, Kotori was already famous in Akihabara working in a maid cafe as a maid called "Minalinsky", nicknamed the Legendary Maid for her kindness, cuteness, and soft voice. While she doesn't work in such a job as often anymore, she did end up meeting up with other deities who work at maid cafes. Maika Sakuranomiya and Hideri Kanzaki work at Cafe Stile, a maid cafe where the waitresses take up personas based off of common archetypes that appeal to anime Otaku, and their initial meeting went a bit awkwardly as Kotori was unnerved by Maika's sadistic-looking face and Hideri's attention-hogging actions, but quickly warmed up to them, especially as Hideri wants to be an idol one day. She also gets along with Sharo Kirima and understands that shetook the job to get money as she is destitude, though she does wonder why she works in a rabbit-themed cafe if she's afraid of the creatures in the first place. She and Misaki Ayuzawa got along swiftly, since Misaki's goal is make her school more female-friendly since it's been recently converted from an all-boys school to co-ed, which overlaps with Honoka's goal to save her all-girls school. She was enamored by Ichigo Momomiya's cat ears and tried to pet her, which embarresed the red-haired girl.
    • Kotori is frequently compared to birds as her name can be read as "little bird", with some even portaying her as a bird for giggles. This eventually led to Kotori visiting the House of Birds to check out the many birds of the area. She got on pretty good terms with the benevolent deities there, but does avoid the more malicious deities like Lord Shen and the Grand Duke of Owls. Outside of the House, she gets along well with Decideueye,as she's impressed with its archery skills and loves the feel of its feathers.
    • Certain Deities have noticed a strange phenomenon involving Kotori; whenever they take a photo, there is a rare chance that Kotori will appear to photobomb the results. This happens even if she isn't in the vicinity, seemingly teleporting to a location just to photobomb. No one, not even Kotori, knows how this happens, and Kotori frequently ends up seperated from the group and lost somewhere in the Pantheon because of this. This bizarre phenomenon has been dubbed "Kotoribombing" by a few.
  • Umi is also Honoka's childhood friend, and the groups personal trainer. Out of all the girls, she's the most levelheaded and "sane" of the group, occasionally getting exhausted by their antics, but occasionally even joins in. This role is something Azusa Nakano finds herself in, being the most levelheaded person in Houkago Tea Time and the one most likely to get bewildered by their lackadaisical attitude. Koyomi Mizuhara also shares a similar role in her group, being the most "normal" out of her wackier friends. Umi gets along with both of them for this shared role, as she finds them to be relaxing to be around.
    • Umi is a member of her school's archery club, of which she is very skilled with her bow and arrow. As a side note, as she hails from a traditional family, she is expected to follow her parents example and inherit their dojo, putting much stress on her. She sought out some of the Pantheon's archers to see their skill with the bow and arrow. Out of all the archers she could meet, she found Oliver Queen, Clint Barton, and Reika Aoki. She was amazed to find out that they use their skills in ther superheroics to combat the forces of evil, something she didn't expect. The three sometimes come over to see her prectice her archery. Out of the three, she gets along with Reika the best, as they both come from traditional families and are quite cool-minded most of the time.
    • Of all the girls in the group, she's the one who protests the most when she has to dress in somewhat revealing clothing, especially if it exposes much of the legs. Unfortunately for her, she ends up having to wear them during performances, despite her embarrassed protests. Stephanie Dora and Mio Akiyama of the aforementioned Houkago Tea Time can relate to her, as they often get dragged into wearing embarrasing clothes by their friends. Umi was quite shocked when she heard of Mio's unfortunate Panty Shot incident, fearing that something like that would happen to her eventually.
  • Maki is an aloof, skilled, and wealthy student who acts as the groups lyricist. As the sole heir to her wealthy family, her upbringing, familial expectations, and immense talent turned her into a cold, lonely person who is isolated by her peers, and feels restricted in that she cannot express her love for music. It is to her relief that she can express her love for music within μ's, though it took some time before she could accept them. This angst is something that Adrien Agraste, Karen Minazuki, and Maisie share; all three hail from wealthy families, but are disconnected from their family members and peers, something Maki connects to on a deep level. She was saddened that Adrien and Maisie's parents are neglectful or missing, and knows what it's like to become aloof like Karen did, which initially prevented her from becoming Cure Aqua. The three do appreciate that she managed to express her true self with her friends, something they also managed to achieve through different means.
    • Maki comes from a family of wealthy, renowned doctors, and her parents expect her to follow in their steps someday. However, her passions lie with music rather than the medical professions, yet believes that she must give up her life dreams for the more traditional path before her. While she's still not set herself on that path, she still respects the House of Health and Diseases, especially the Physicians subhouse for their efforts in combating disease and healing the sick and injured. She's quite conflicted about Dr. Gregory House, as while he is a very skilled doctor, he's also incredibly abrasive and rude, which puts her off. Those like Nurse Ratched receive no love from her due to their cruelty towards their patients. She also met up with Yoshika Miyafuji, who also hails from a family of doctors, and her father is well known for the creation of the magic amplifying Striker Units, and felt a pange of sadness when she heard of his unfortunate death.
    • Maki has held on to some childish beliefs due to living a rich, sheltered upbringing. One such belief is Santa's existence, even extending to cleaning her chimney for Santa's arrival and boasting that Santa never misses her house. Nico tried to convince her of the reality of the situation, but was held back by the other members who feared hurting her feelings. Naturally, when she heard of Santa existing in the Pantheon, she dragged the group to the House of Celebration to see him in person. When they did meet him, she jumped for joy while Nico gaped in shock at the verified existence of Santa. Santa wasn't too fazed at the ecstatic Maki, as he met many people who similarly acted that way upon meeting him.
    • On a more humourous note, some deities have made some comparisions between her and Knuckles. Both have red hair and purple eyes, with a serious, aloof attitude that hides a soft spot that come out with their friends. The two did eventually meet up, and ended up on good terms with each other. Maki in particular is interested in Knuckles' digging skills and is thinking of training so she can dig with her bare hands.
  • Rin is Hanayo's childhood friend, and the most athlethic of the group. She's rather tomboyish, with a love for sports and an energietic personality, though is rather insecure about her tomboyishness, feeling that she's too tomboyish and not cute enough to be a proper idol. She managed to become more comfortable with her feminity and tomboyishness over time. Her angst is something that Chie Satonaka and Makoto Kikuchi can relate to, with the former feeling discomforted with her lack of feminity, especially since her feminine best friend, Yukiko Amagi, is very popular for her feminity, while the latter has a tomboyish personality and looks due to being raised by her single father and entered the idol industry to become more feminine. The three can confide with each other with their issues, and knowing that they're on the path to become more confident with their self expression puts them at ease. She also gets along with the more shameless tomboys like Kagura, Rainbow Dash, and Barbara, and admits to feeling a bit envious of them for their security with themselves.
    • While a more minor case than Kotori's association with birds, Rin is sometimes associated with cats, as she sometimes acts in a way that is suggestive of a cat, has a Cat Smile, and sometimes wears cat-themed accessories. Ironically, she dislikes eating fish and is allergic to cats, so she barely visits the House of Felines. Doesn't stop some deities from joking about it.
  • (Hanayo: Shrinking Violet) Hanayo is a big fan of idols, so joining μ's was like a dream come true for her. Despite her enthusiasm for idols, she is normally rather shy and softspoken, preferring others to take the initiative for her.
    • Hanayo is noteable for her strong appetite and love for food, especially rice balls. Whenever she eats, be it a meal, dinner, or even a snack, she would always eat up a lot of food, yet she seemingly never gains much weight from this. She often ends up in the House of Food to dine on the many different foods there, and often stays for a long time at buffets. She was quite surprised when she saw how voracious an appetite Kirby, Chowder, Yuyuko Saigyouji, and Beelzebub of the Seven Mortal Sins have, surpassing her own. She nonetheless became good friends with them, handing over her leftovers when she's stuffed. She also ended up as meal buddies with Yuko Omori thanks to their shared love of rice and food in general, sometimes meeting up just to eat up until they're stuffed.
    • (weight) However, her eating habits do come at a cost; she's rather insecure regarding her weight.
    • Hanayo is in charge of taking care of Otonikizaka's two alpacas, one with white fur, another with shaggier brown fur. The rest of the girls, especially Kotori, are very fond of them and like to cuddle them and feel their fur. Carl Wheezer happens to visit the alpacas a lot, as they remind him of the llamas he adores. He even managed to get Hanayo accepted into his rather small "Llama Love Society" as an honorary member! Still, there are times when he gets too afffectionate, resulting in the alpacas headbutting him, launching him far away from the pens,
  • Nico Yazawa is the chairwoman of the Idol Research Club, and the wannabe leader of μ's. She may initially appear to be sickeningly cute and upbeat, but that's just a mask to her true personality, who is much more irritable and self-absorbed, which can be shocking to those not expecting it. It is because of this trait that she gets along with Miu Matsuoka, who is also a rather sour and cranky person who uses her cute looks to her advantage, like stealing pudding from others. There are moments where the two do get on each other's nerves, but overall they're rather close, which makes a few deities uncomfortable. On the other hand, she doesn't get along at all with other deceptively cute deities like Nui Harime, Airy, .GIFanny, and the Incubators, as their cruel, destructive actions make her cringe in disgust, and so she refuses to associate herself with them.
    • Possibly the most (in)famous thing to know about Nico is her idol catchphrase, "Nico Nico Nii~". Recognized as overly saccharine by many, it nonetheless had many deities replicate it for fun, even altering it to base it off their names or a pun. Nico is proud that her catchphrase became such a phenomenon around the world, even if it (and by extension she) ends up as the butt of jokes.
    • (Attention Whore) Nico is also rather infamous for her attention grabbing tendencies. If there's any opportunity to draw peoples attention towards her, expect her to take it no matter what.
    • Nico ended up having chance encounters with two other deities who happen to sound similar to her. The first was Hideri Kanzaki, a crossdressing male employee at Cafe Stile who dreams of becoming an idol. They ended up becoming fast friends after Hideri was finished with his geeking out over idols, with him winning her over by perfectly imitating her "Nico Nico Nii~". However, they do sometimes end up clashing due to their attention hogging personalities, causing many scuffles. The other occasion was when she teamed up with Miu Matsuoka to create a recording of her imitating Tenko Chabashira's voice and gushing about men when she was visiting μ's. This greatly pissed the aikido practitioner off, especially given her love of idols, and told them not to pull off such a nasty prank again. Not that they're stopping pranking her by other means any time soon.
  • (Eli: student council president) Eli is the coolheaded, mature former student council president and the group's choreographer.
    • (heritage)
  • Nozomi is the former vice-president of the student council, and the one who named the group "μ's" after the Muses of Greek mythology. One of her favorite hobbies is predicting future events with her tarot deck, giving her a mysterious and wise air. She befriended fellow fortune tellers Madame Xanadu and Chihaya Mifune, who also use the tarot deck in their predictions. She's amazed by Nimue's magic and clairvoyant powers, wishing to gain those kind of powers one day. With Chihaya, she took notes when she heard of Chihaya's belief in fate being broken and her fake holy stones, using this new knowledge to better herself and perhaps to not be so reliant on her tarot reading. Sometimes she ends up in the Velvet Room to get tarot readings from Igor. While she appreciates his tarot readings, she can't help but feel a bit uneasy, noticing him giving her strange glances and making vague remarks.
    • A perculiar quirk of hers is her "washi-washi", in which she gropes her peer's breasts as an odd form of punishment whenever they act up. Thankfully, she means no harm in this odd act, relieving some others who initially speculated more sinister motivations to it. This habit is shared by Katsuragi of Hanzō National Academy, who often gropes her friends breasts (and bodies in general) as part of her overall perverted behavior. Both girls get along surprisingly well, even if Nozomi doesn't share the shinobi's shamelessness. Katsuragi just thinks it's cool that another girls can appreciate her friends bodies.

[down] I got them approved for Dancing Theme back when I proposed their rework and no one brought it up. That trope seems to be more "the popular kid in school" than about actual idols though.

This took a while to do and I might need a few fixes regarding interactions even though this profile is rather long, but otherwise, I'm done with Tanya and accepting approvals for her.

Tanya von Degurechaff, Representative of Reincarnations in Alternate Worlds (Argent, Devil of the Rhine, Loli Hitler, Vampire Loli, Killer Loli)

  • Once there was a cold, ruthless Japanese HR manager who valued efficiency above all else. His life ended when a disgruntled employee he fired pushed him onto an oncoming train. Moments before his death, he heard the voice of a divine being, who he personally referred to as "Being X". Since he had no religious inclination whatsoever, Being X punished him by reincarnating him as a little girl in a magical war-torn reality. Now known as Tanya von Degurechaff, the little girl soldier with the mind of a ruthless modern-day office worker now leads a platoon of troops by applying much of her skillset from her previous life onto her new hellish one. As a result of a high latent magic ability, she has the Elenium Type-95, a device that enhances her current skills, but requires a prayer, much to her anger. More than anything, Tanya is determined to survive her new life at war and spite Being X whenever possible.
  • Tanya woke up in an unfamiliar place one day, unsure of what had happened beforehand. At first, she thought she and her squadron botched a mission and that they had to be put under medical care. As it turned out, Degurechaff and her teammates ended up wherever they were as a result of higher-up powers. It became clear that Tanya's sanity was taking a hit (though since she was talking to others and not in battle, she wasn't exactly showing her loss of sanity during that time) as she asked what that place was. The people she was talking to explained that the place was called a "Pantheon", where anyone can be designated as a "god" based on whatever aspect they have. Tanya was also told that the place can just be considered a world where life goes on with additional changes for others that find themselves there. Although Tanya didn't snap in front of whoever was talking to her, it became apparent that she didn't like what was happening to her.
    • After getting her "composure" back together, Tanya went to an empty church somewhere in the Pantheon and screamed in anger near the statue of a religious figure. She believed that it was Being X who sent her to the Pantheon as a means to get her to worship him. She continued to curse Being X out, declaring that no matter what happens, even in a place where everyone is a "god" in some weird way, she would never worship it in any way whatsoever. To that end, she's among the handful of Pantheonic denizens who don't want to be worshipped as a deity (let alone be acknowledged as such), but rather be simply seen as a regular person.
  • One of the main reasons why Tanya is furious about ending up in a world where “gods” are commonplace is the large number of actual deities who were considered “gods” back in their respective worlds. Of these specific deities, plenty of them are notable for being gratuitously cruel to the world they’re overseeing and want nothing more than to see the people below them suffer. This hatred also extends to those who fancy themselves as a “god” or worse yet, actively trying to seek godhood for their own selfish means. Even if those malevolent figures aren’t tied to Being X in any way, she still believes that it is involved with making those characters the way they are and has continued to do whatever she can to avoid being fully devoted to Being X or some other divine entity that is in the Pantheon.
    • Although Tanya isn’t one to believe in gods and that if they did exist, they have no good intentions, learning about the existence of deities who are genuinely benevolent was still something that didn’t sit well with her. She was barely able to restrain her contempt after coming across Palutena following another difficult battle, not helped by the fact that prior to the direct meeting, Tanya had a few minor supernatural mishaps that led her to believe that “Being X” was mocking her again. Palutena’s tendency to playfully mock others didn’t endear her to Tanya at all, but the former added that in seriousness, there are a lot of deities that are much worse than her out there, regardless of if Tanya doesn’t want to believe in “god”. Tanya has largely considered benevolent deities like Palutena to be major annoyances since that meeting, though her stronger hatred is reserved towards consistently mean-spirited deities.
      • As for the actual beings named “God”, Tanya ended up meeting a bearded man while on break. She didn’t realize that this man was called God until later much to her frustration, but she did have a conversation about him, doing her best to suppress her anger while in front of him. God did have a feeling that someone would not be happy with him, but he ultimately didn’t hold any serious grudge against Tanya. That said, it became clear that Tanya isn’t all that willing to meet up with him again even if he had no ill-will towards her compared to other evil divine entities.
  • While her main goal regarding Being X is to spite it as much as she can for her own survival, she learned about a few denizens in the Pantheon who went beyond mocking gods and outright killed them for varying reasons. Tanya has a mix of both approval and resentment for those particular characters for being able to slay a god that made the worlds they live in miserable, though she has some annoyance in how even though she is trying to be like Shulk in terms of defying whatever destiny is being forced onto her, something keeps happening that makes it worse for her and not better as is the case for Shulk.
    • Even if she is still focused on making sure she isn’t condemned to Hell, the idea of demons wasn’t something she had some awareness of until she ended up learning about Spawn. Like Tanya, Spawn had a previous life as a normal human, was resurrected as something else by a malevolent entity (though Al Simmons did this willingly unlike what happened with Tanya), and eventually made a point to defy their tormentors. She would learn about Malebolgia, the demon who made Spawn who he is, and came to see him as a demon equivalent of Being X in terms of making someone suffer. Speaking of killing high-level demons, Tanya would also learn of The Saint of Killers, a man who killed both the God and Satan of his world (with those higher powers happening to not be friendly in any sense). Tanya is willing to have a sort of friendship with Spawn given how similar their ordeal is in terms of dealing with a higher entity and while she does like what The Saint of Killers did, the latter believes that she still has a ways to go before she can properly deal with this so-called Being X.
  • Tanya wasn’t the only deity to be a reincarnated salaryman having a new life. Rimuru Tempest was also someone whose previous life was that of a salaryman before ending up in a fantasy world, but while Tanya is a highly respected military figure with some potent powers that is struggling to find an easy way out of her predicament, Rimuru has some different, but still very powerful abilities and is the highly respected ruler of a kingdom he founded. Tanya harbors some resentment towards Rimuru for having it much easier than she does in terms of nearly everything while he is rather concerned about her overall personality, given how much of a monster she is in battle and her being coldly cynical outside of it.
    • On the subject of those that had to deal with reincarnation, there isn’t a whole lot in the way of amicability between Tanya and Otonashi, as well as his friends. Whereas Tanya simply died in her previous life and reincarnated into a much more difficult one, Otonashi and his friends ended up in some kind of Limbo and had to come to terms with their past trauma in order to move on. While they are mostly understanding of the fact that Tanya has to deal with a violent war and a malicious deity opposing her along the way, the fact that Tanya never learned anything substantial to improving her character in her previous life (and if anything, applying her logic to her war-torn reality contributed to making things worse for her and everyone else involved) led to Otonashi and his friends keeping their distance from her as much as they can. Yuri Nakamura in particular saw Tanya as a much darker version of herself, especially regarding the possibility that Tanya is what could happen if Yuri never came to terms with her former life.
  • If there is one thing that can be said about her, it’s that Tanya only cares about herself and what might happen to her. While she is perfectly capable of acting like a decent person in front of others, it’s apparent that she’s only putting on that front to ensure her own survival. It wouldn’t come as much of a surprise that she wouldn’t be that friendly towards other narcissists in the Pantheon (even if she is one herself), though things are much more complicated regarding Don Draper. Being someone with a job similar to what Tanya had in her past life, Draper had a lot of corporate power and cared mainly for himself, but unlike the salaryman that reincarnated into Tanya, Draper did try to be a better person even if those efforts didn’t fully work out. Tanya couldn’t help but be reminded of her past life after learning about Draper and as for him, he has some wariness about her, even if Draper isn’t one to talk about religious beliefs and reincarnation.
  • Despite doing her best impression of someone that’s willing to talk to others, Tanya has very few genuine friends thanks to her narcissism and only caring about what’s going to happen to her. Gertrude was one of a handful of Pantheonic deities that Tanya was able to get along with, thanks to them being mentally unstable girls who ended up in a fantasy world that they don’t enjoy being in (though in Tanya’s case, she was reincarnated into said world rather than end up there like Gertrude did). Gertrude did make plenty of efforts to try and improve herself even if she has a lot of problems of her own (and she is someone who has made some effort to try and get Tanya to improve her behavior even if said attempts aren’t fully effective) and Tanya did find it darkly amusing how Gertrude’s journey ended with her as an office worker while Tanya was a salaryman before her reincarnation.
  • Having fought against another girl with military-based magitek weapons named Mary Sue before, Tanya suspected that there would be a few deities like her in the Pantheon and she ended up getting her answer in the forum of a unit known as Strike Witches. The group is a far cry from what Tanya assumed seeing as they’re a multinational team (with a couple of their members hailing from Germany) who take to the skies to fight off a technological alien threat. While Tanya is slightly relieved that none of the members are like Mary Sue in terms of character, she doesn’t think much of them given that they’re fighting a war that would ultimately put a strain on themselves. The German members of the team (Gertrud Barkhorn, Erica Hartmann, and Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke) were initially curious about another girl coming from a region similar to Germany using military magitek in a war, but Tanya being a heartless soldier and only caring about making sure things work out for her put a damper on a potential meeting between her and the Strike Witches.
  • Despite being a skilled soldier that fights for her country and has been shown to be a bit bloodthirsty in the battlefield at times, Tanya doesn’t think that highly of war, mainly because of how much strain it puts on various resources. While Senator Armstrong is very much an American patriot and nationalist, he took notice of some similarities between her mindset of war and his own. Knowing that the world Tanya ended up in is very much beset by war, Armstrong saw it as evidence of continuing to pursue his goal of a world driven by people seeking what they want. Tanya was also someone who never really believed in her nation’s cause, instead fightly for her own survival, something that Armstrong can understand to some level. He seems to believe that Tanya would make an effective ally for his cause, but thus far she hasn’t taken any interest in whatever it is that he wants. That said, Armstrong is someone who is willing to adapt to whatever may happen and if it involves fighting against Tanya (a battle where there’s a very good chance that she’ll lose if she gets involved against him), then he’s willing to do so if it means having to get her to fully agree with what his ideal world would be like.
  • All told, Tanya is very much a child soldier, albeit one with a mindset not that different from an adult given her previous life. Having confronted a child soldier herself at one point, she rightfully assumed that the Pantheon would have a handful of other child soldiers, though she, for the most part, didn’t really have to worry much about those soldier’s religious devotion. Setsuna F. Seiei, someone who was a child soldier in the past and has devoted himself to trying to eliminate wars, was someone who Tanya had some curiosity in given how the latter was manipulated by Ali Al-Saachez as a kid and later renounced his own belief in God. While Setsuna can understand why Tanya hates her current situation, he is rather disturbed about how she is more focused on herself when it comes to surviving a war. In turn, Tanya does believe that the plans carried out by Setsuna (and by extension the rest of the Gundam Meisters) to try and end wars will lead to more problems than it does towards a solution.
  • Even if the time period Tanya ended up in wasn’t very futuristic, the technology that was used during the wars at that time was more advanced than normal, with Tanya herself having access to a dangerous yet powerful weapon designed specifically for her to use. After ending up in the Pantheon, she rightfully assumed that whatever technology the place had would be even more advanced than what she had. Despite not being officially affiliated with Nazis, she ended up being observed by those types of deities, with the likes of HYDRA, Millennium, and Wilhelm Strasse taking an interest in what she uses and looking to come up with a significantly improved version of such to use for their army. Tanya also ended up meeting Rudol von Stroheim, who took notice of her ties to an empire similar to that of Germany and offered to make some weapons for her to use. While Tanya at least acknowledges him as more tolerable compared to Adelheid von Schugel (and has indeed come up with rather useful items in general), she has begrudgingly preferred to stick with what she has at the moment.

Dual chunky profiles showing up now.

Anyway, here are the profiles for the DiMeo and Soprano families. I'll be honest, there's still some flavour texts that I can add and I'm more than welcome to receive ideas and suggestions (it's group profiles after all), but given the scope and size of them, I'm open to accepting approvals.

  • The DiMeo Crime Family was formed in the early 20th Century and operated in Newark, New Jersey. Initially led by Eckley DiMeo, leadership was passed onto Jackie Aprile before his death from cancer in 1999, prompting Corrado "Junior" Soprano to take up the mantle of The Don. Along the way, tensions begin to arise between Junior and his nephew, Tony, who was dealing with how the organization should be led and balancing this with his personal life. Eventually, Corrado was arrested for his criminal activities and Tony took over with his fellow personal workforce composing of his closest companion Silvio Dante, impulsive hothead Paulie Walnuts and his nephew (and cousin on his wife's side) Christopher Moltisanti. While a respectable and feared organization, the DiMeo Mafia was not as strong as it used to be as there was still an amicable competition they had with the Luppertazi Family.
  • The last recorded moments of the DiMeo Family was not exactly favourable in their part and there is no word about its conclusion. That said, the story of the Family's struggle in maintaining their position in the Crime Industry in New Jersey was a very memorable if a grim one and what was recorded included a surprisingly expansive tale about Tony and his companions. It was only a matter of time before five of its members, composed of Tony, Christopher, Silvio, Paulie and newcomer lieutenant Bobby Baccalieri were picked to represent the Pantheon.
  • Each member of the DiMeo are different from one another very greatly. This may be for better or for worse, depending on which member is being referenced.
    • Christopher is a man who is desperate to create a large reputation for himself in the Mafia world and looks up to Tony as a mentor and father figure the same way this was reflected under Tony and Junior. Unfortunately, Christopher has major personality faults; he was impulsive, demanding rash and incredibly trigger-happy if things didn't go his way. Furthermore, much of his experience came with one back luck against the other. Further muddying the waters is his... complicated relationship with Adriana La Cerva, even if the two loved each other. As a result, he was the member with the most mixed reactions within the organization, though the upper-ups mostly though he was more-or-less a distraction, much to his frustration. Oh, and he tried to catch a career in Film and Hollywood. While he was successful in making a film, Cleaver, it would be the only one he'd ever make.
    • Silvio, alongside Bobby, is one of the most normal and well-reserved members of the group, which helps as he gets to be Tony's top enforcer within the DiMeo organization. He's also the owner of the Bada Bing! strip club, which attracts a periphery audience of gangsters and strippers and is one of the biggest factors in the organization's finance. In spite of holding a strip club and having sex with other women, Silvio has a stable relationship with his wife, Gabriella and spends his free time as an affable man. That's not to say he is ruthless in his job, however, though being Tony's right hand, he's the closest to being his voice of reason, Tony's own family aside.
    • Paulie is... too trigger happy. He's rude, temperamental and incredibly abrasive, more so than even Christopher and he's arguably the most childish out of the group. All that said, he's still a pretty fun person to be around and even if he is the only member to have not married, he has a strong affection for his mother (actually his aunt) Nucci and his nephew Little Paulie. That and his loyalty and friendship towards Tony is almost as strong as Silvio's even if Paulie is more prone to messing up at times.
    • Bobby is easily the nicest and most affable member, which may or may not be because he's the newest addition to the representing members. Despite his aloof nature, he's surprisingly effective when it comes to the Mafia's business and quickly proved his worth as one of Tony's best allies. He also had a stable marriage life with his wife Karen and their children Bobby III and Sophia. Then Karen died in a car accident and Janice took over. They had a daughter, Domenica (or "Nica"), but this doesn't change Janice's demeanour in any way and most would agree that Bobby is unlucky enough to get married to someone like her. He also likes trains and is often seen trying to construct toy trains and miniature landscapes for them to operate on.
  • Their primary spot for hanging out is either at Bada Bing! or at Satriale's Pork Store, which uses to be owned by Junior and Tony's father, Johnny Boy. Despite its association with the mafia, Satriale's has become a recognized restaurant in the House of Food and because of this, they have managed to increase a good deal of profits out of it. That said, Pantheonic rules have stated that the DiMeo are unable to commit any crimes in Satriale's either, which they didn't mind. After all, why would they want to disobey rules if that's what's going to alienate them and disallow them from potential alliances and relationships.
  • Needless to say, every member of the DiMeo was surprised to see that they now existed in the same place as the Corleones, especially given that they are avid fans of the The Godfather franchise themselves. Vito and Michael were surprised to see and hear about the stories of the DiMeo and, seeing that they were eager to make friends decided to strike a business deal with them, with Tony even managing to secure a million-dollar contract with trades and welfare benefits, provided the two of them maintain a strong partnership. That said, Vito and Michael are aware that the DiMeo are potentially more ruthless and unscrupulous than them and that it is best if they remain cautious of a thin line.
  • To say nothing about Christopher's first days in the Pantheon. His mortal coil was shed when after a car accident, Tony suffocated him to death after realizing just how much of a burden he was. Not surprisingly, Christopher was infuriated and considered killing Tony the moment they ascended together. He had to be restrained and told the bitter truth, which pissed him off even more. It took a while, but he regained his demeanour after a while. He's eventually decided that at this point, he would need to be more careful and considerate of what he does and how to approach Tony. On the plus side, he was mourned, though Tony and Silvio were not among them (if anything, Tony was glad that he offed his nephew). Christopher and Tony's relationship, at the moment, is business and forced group work at best and the former is saddened to consider that he may never get a chance to make his uncle truly proud of him.
  • Outside of the DiMeo Family, Christopher does have a particular interest in writing and film media. He did get to meet Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, the former in trying to get him to work together in writing a film together and the latter when Christopher tried to get him cast for Cleaver. Both attempts failed, with the former ending so badly that Christopher ended up hating Favreau a lot. He was intrigued to discover a House of Theatre and Spectacle, though his petty murder of J.T. Dolan has made him feel pretty unwelcomed. To his credit, the House does respect Christopher's natural talent for acting and pity him for not seizing the opportunity to choose film over crime.
  • Christopher is also not very popular with the House of Love if his disproportionate relationship with Adriana La Cerva isn't any indication. While Christopher did, indeed, love her, enough to actually make her one of his heralds, he also appointed his mortal wife, Kelli and his daughter, Caitlin. At best, the House can barely tolerate him and he has to be monitored in case he loses his temper and starts lashing out towards others. Although, to his dismay, he cannot bring himself to approach Adriana, considering her death, courtesy of Silvio, occurred after Christopher told Tony that Adriana was a police informant (albeit unwillingly on her part).
  • Silvio will normally be seen at Bada Bing! where he would be conducting work and regulations for up-and-coming strippers and most seem to enjoy his presence. It's telling when out of all of Tony's lieutenants, he puts the most faith in Silvio as, while he is prone to messing things up at times, he is more competent and straightforward in getting his tasks done. Not surprisingly, he's earned an honorary place in the House of Loyalty and Servitude.
    • That said, he has a hobby of gambling. While normally composed and jolly, one of the few times he's not is when he's losing a game and, like the rest of his compatriots, is prone to getting huffy and aggressive over it. He's a bit flabbergasted about how the House of Gaming is mainly based on Video Games as he was misled into thinking it would be a place of gambling instead.
  • Paulie... doesn't have much going for his personal life. He's the only one out of the bunch who isn't married and thus, spends most of his time in the mafia. He does have relatives, namely his mother Nucci and his nephew, Little Paulie, who is also a minor member of the DiMeo. In spite of his violently impulsive and vindictive attitude, he truly loves his family. He'll often visit the House of Family to spend some time with Nucci and expects the Mothers Sub-House to treat her respectfully. He doesn't want to think too much about thinking how Nucci is actually his aunt; his biological mother was a nun who had an affair with a sailor, which is what conceived his birth, and the resulting revelation ended up making Paulie separate himself from Nucci. They did, however, patch up sometime before she died, and Paulie is making sure he's providing for Nucci as much as he can.
  • Bobby, in addition to being a family man who happens to have good relations with the House of Family, also takes visitation hours at the Houses of Travel and Craft. He happens to have a peculiar fascination with trains and spends some time either riding or watching them in the former. For the latter, Bobby often tries to find toy stores to find and buy miniature railway tracks and stations, so that he could assemble the parts in his personal domain. Because of this, he quickly struck a friendship with Thomas the Tank Engine and sometimes dotes on the steam train whenever Thomas is on work with his friends and fellow co-workers. It apparently inspires Bobby even more in regards to his train interests.
  • Regarding other crime families, the DiMeo have made sure that there is a certain figure that they will never attempt a deal or strike an alliance with; Diavolo. While some members have done their fair share of despicable actions, they do have some principles, ethics and loved ones to look after. Diavolo has absolutely nothing going for that and is willing to allow innocents and children to die if it means keeping his secrecy and furthering his goals. Not to mention how Diavolo makes no distinction in treating his employees like shit and wants to kill his daughter out of paranoia, a fact that the DiMeo family found incredibly revolting and needlessly cruel. For all their criminal activities, Tony, Silvio, Bobby and even Christopher want to make sure their children have nothing to do with their actions and professional life.
    • Speaking of Diavolo, the DiMeo also came into contact with the La Squadra Esecuzioni and Bruno Bucciarati's Gang, both of whom have made no secret about opposing Diavolo. Bruno feels suspicious about the DiMeo, especially given that they are heavily unscrupulous in their actions and are hotheaded in nature as well. Giorno Giovanna and Trish Una do, however, express some sympathy and pity over Tony, due to his own troubled experience regarding parents. While they didn't get along, Bruno and Tony were able to secure a compromise, given that they have a common enemy and the former would make some attempt to provide supplies and resources if mainly to provide family members of the DiMeo Mafia with support. Risotto Nero, however, got along better and would often try to play some games with Silvio if they have free time, which made the DiMeo find a new business partner and ally with his gangster squad. Strangely enough, it's mentioned that Ghiaccio would fit right into the DiMeo comfortably. They do have a shared knack of being temperamental after all.
  • They met up with Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro at one point while the DiMeo were trying to find potential partners and allies in the Pantheon. In the ensuing meeting, Vito and Joe had a pretty decent dinner in Satriale's and enjoyed the company provided by the gang. That said, they were displeased to hear about the many criminal activities and petty actions that they committed throughout their lifetimes. The duo also took notice of their families and commended that at least they don't try to get them involved in crime. Vito and Joe eventually decided to call a partnership, strained as it may be and potentially help each other out, which Tony decided that it would be the best possible call to make. That, and they have a few mutual enemies that they vehemently oppose.
    • While the partnership is active and not going to die away soon, another reason for it being strained to begin with is that the DiMeo have fewer morals and are more ruthless in general, in addition to holding outdated, conceited and bigoted views on some groups, particularly homosexuals. While they wouldn't say it in front of the group, Vito and Joe do pay their condolences to Vito Spatafore, given the fact that he became ostracized when word came out that he was gay and that he was murdered by a rival mafia gang led by Phil Leotardo, solely for his sexual orientation.
  • Makoto Niijima bears a strong dislike to the group, and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts aren't too enthusiastic about them either. Their positive qualities don't factor in too much either as they have a large sheet of criminal actions in their sheet. What is more worrying, however, is that each of the top members has their own personal demons that haven't really faded out, so there is the possibility of them gaining a Palace. While they do find them annoying, the DiMeo members have decided to not attack them as that would further justify them in rewiring their minds. That said, the Phantom Thieves have no intention of going after their families as they're aware that they really have nothing to do with their crimes. Still, Makoto really wants to make sure they find some sort of justice and doesn't fancy the fact that Tony would make a deal with the FBI. Oh, and Silvio's murder of Adriana was what Makoto considered "undoubtedly revolting".
  • While they are feared, they do know when to turn back and not risk themselves in getting further damaged. This is how Tony and his lieutenants felt when they learned about Jason Todd and Frank Castle and their stories about waging a violent war against crime after suffering severe injustices. The fact that they have killed hundreds of criminals in cold blood have made the DiMeo family wince in fear, and the thought of them deciding to gun them down is a scary one. That said, they did come off as somewhat better than other criminals, though Jason and Frank have reprimanded that the DiMeo are still in their watchlist if they do something out of line.
    • That said, Tony was able to secure an alliance with Oswald Cobblepot, much to Jason's anger and frustration as he himself has some personal beef against The Penguin. Tony himself hasn't done much worse and usually just hangs out with Cobblepot in thinking about old days and having fun in their criminal-owned earnings. That's not to say they are without scruples. The DIMeo have made a point to never consider an alliance with either the Slavers or Nicky Cavella. Both are absolute scumbags that make even seasoned criminals disgusted and the DiMeo clearly aren't going to work with somebody who is not only completely disregarding of loyalty or partnership, but also do what they want out of satisfaction and sadism. Cavella being a gay person results in the DiMeo often making jokes about it, but in all seriousness, the guy is so crazy and stupid that trying to make a deal with him is suicidal. The Slavers' dealings in the human trafficking of sex slaves is disgusting beyond belief and the fact that their business involves innocents is out of ethical standards for the DiMeo mafia. For once, Tony and his compatriots actually think the Punisher did everyone a service by killing them off.
  • Have struck a deal with Raymond Reddington and Al Capone in regards to business trading, assets, information and forming a professional relationship. It helps that Raymond has a legendary reputation for setting up criminal networks, though the DiMeo have stated that they have some lines they won't cross. Capone is on more favourable terms, given that he is the archetypal mafia Don and that they would give him some degree of respect on that basis. While they are ruthless, Capone does assert that they should do their best to look good to the public too, like attending charitable meetings and helping civilians if given time. That way, they'll build up support and morale, which they would need for their mafias to remain strong and persevere.
