Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    open/close all folders

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • Gods can't be followers or high priests for obvious reasons.
  • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
  • No hype profiles, please.
    • So you ask, what exactly is 'hype profile'? It is a profile based on ongoing events that hasn't been around very long, but generates a lot of hype, possibly because of elements such as Wham Episode or Memetic Mutation or Large Ham or overall 'OMGAWESOME!!!' They're all not bad tropes, but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time). You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but don't make the profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
  • DO. NOT. put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, don't do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, do yourself a favor and delete it from that main page. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good & Evil Colors.
  • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
    • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
    • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
    • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
    • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to the Treasures or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Treasures or Dominions.
  • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
  • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
  • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you're only given three chances on such. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
  • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what's currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction.
  • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
  • Don't repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes haven't been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • Please use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, or something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted.
  • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this god has spots in other houses as well.
  • When writing facts/trivia about gods, try not to contradict what has already been written elsewhere.
  • When writing down the name of a Theme Song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name.
  • When adding an image for your God, make sure that it is not too big unless you wish to write more about the god you have chosen.
  • If you feel the need to remove a god for some reason and replace him/her with another, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. If you're lucky (and they're from the same franchise), maybe both of them can share the title "Gods of (Insert Trope Here)".
  • Certain tropes can have more than one God. It is not advisable, but it is not forbidden. Just ensure that this second God will bring in new flavor of the trope. If you have doubts on how to bring the other flavors, consult the Trope Pantheon Discussion forum. Case in point: In the original Greek Mythology (and later Roman Mythology), both Ares/Mars and Athena/Minerva share the title of 'God/Goddess of War', and even then, they differ in flavor: Ares is about brutal warfare, Athena is about war strategies and finesse, while Mars took up some of Athena's elements that he kinda differs out than Ares. If the original myth can do this, why the hell not for the Pantheon?
  • Be creative! If you need some time to work out your potential deity's profile, use the Pending Gods or Pending Gods 2 page to get help. Incomplete and/or low-quality entries are more likely to get deleted or replaced.
  • When writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. See also the Rules section. Especially the 1st bullet point.
  • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name.
  • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it's well advised not to abuse them. Aside from introducing too many niche concepts, there are still chances for new tropes related to your chosen deity's title to be launched through YKTTW...
    • Additionally however, the only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. IE: Their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they're closely associated with In-Universe, or both (example: Gangplank and his oranges).
  • Maximum number of tropes what a god should have is three, but don't try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused.
  • Some series will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps, as well. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it's because they're a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they're connected to another deity in their respective canon.
  • As far as deities from actual mythologies (Greco-Roman, Norse, Japanese, etc.) are concerned, try not to replicate the default myths about their characters and use a fictional counterpart instead. In other words, if you want to use the Greek/Roman god Ares/Mars, you can't add him as the "God of War", but you can use him as part of another trope as long as it's a different version of him. For example:
    • Zeus, while having elements of his persona from Classical Mythology, draws more from his portrayal in the God of War Series.
    • Thor and Loki's Pantheon portrayals are influenced heavily by their appearances in their Marvel Comics series.
    • Amaterasu is a woman in her Japanese mythology portrayal, but her Pantheon counterpart is the dog goddess from Ōkami.
  • Don't depend too much on the hype/meme train, don't just jump onto that train willy-nilly in order to put on some events or entry in the Pantheon. It might not last very long or represent the trope best. This is Trope Pantheons, not Trope Hype Train!
  • Unless the character proposed is specifically from the Abridged version, the character should represent the tropes in their canon selves. If they also happen to possess the trait of the Abridged self, good! But otherwise, get the abridged stuff onto just the flavor texts.
  • To prevent any surprising need to rework profiles due to new development, please restrain from ascending gods from a series before the thing is either released or for longer-running series, there is a good enough of a break from story. This also applies to already existing series if there is a new thing coming out.
  • Please be sure to ask in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you don't waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
    • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else.
  • It is much more recommended to word the title like "God of X" instead of "The God that Xs". This will give off the vibe the God actually ruled over that trope instead of just 'did X', giving more credentials to how it's the best example of the trope.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power.
    • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
    • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
    • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
    • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
    • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
    • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Deity Template
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Potential House:
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity. This doesn't always have to be a representation of power, but it can also represent influence in the Pantheon.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Song that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician, this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D.
  • Gender: For Pokémon deities only. Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
  • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
  • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies.
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes.
  • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that have various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.) other than allies, rivals, or enemies.
  • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Pokémon.
  • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
  • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or find pitiable.
  • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by, regardless of alignment.
  • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.

Kor, god of evil "wise seniors" (Metal Kor)

Rivals: Beelzebub, Queen Sectonia

Enemies: Jak and Daxter, Samos and Keira Hagai, HerakleKabuterimon, Leto Atreides II

Opposed by: Every good and neutral-aligned deity in the house of Insects

  • The chief of a Xenomorph-like beasts known as the Hora-Quan (Or as the humans call them, Metal Heads), Kor led his goons against the Precursors a number of years ago, resulting in a lot of casualties on the Precursors’ end. By stealing one of their rift gates, the Hora-Quan were able to use it to travel to the planet where the humans lived. Hundreds of years later, Kor had succeeded in turning the once-pristine Sandover Village into a Crapsack World, led by an almost-equally corrupt general named Baron Praxis, who nonetheless saw the Metal Heads as a danger to the city’s infrastructure.

  • Not too long after a group of humans from the past were imprisoned by Praxis’ police force after arriving in Haven, Kor had ordered his lieutenant Kaeden to begin a preliminary invasion on the city. Over the course of the next two years, Kaeden led the second-rate Metal Bugs to infest the city walls; meanwhile, the lieutenant himself stepped into the city masqueraded as a human inspector who closed down every pest-exterminating company in the city. Kaeden’s reputation as an irritable and unpleasable critic sent shivers down the spine of every fumigator, and so too were the recruits who knew they could not work in a environment that wouldn’t be around much longer. The very last of these businesses, Kridder Ridder, proved to be an unexpectedly strong factor in defeating these nuisances, courtesy of a certain "Daxter" fellow.

  • Although Kaeden eventually managed to shutter Kridder Ridder as well, the Metal Bugs’ invasion nevertheless fell through. Kor was aware that his first wave of threats wasn’t working, and announced to his subordinate that he had a brilliant scheme should Daxter overcome them entirely. Predictably, Daxter was able to exterminate Kaeden and reunite with his friend, a light-haired prisoner named Jak. Little did the two of them know, the Metal Head commander had been waiting for them outdoors.

  • Kor had taken gone a step above Kaeden when it came to his scheme; whereas Kaeden was antagonistic and middle-aged in his alter-ego, Kor had taken on the form of an old man and developed a much calmer persona. This allowed him to get close to the members of the Haven City Underground Movement (Which Jak had become a recruit for) for a while, succeeding in all of the fields where Kaeden had failed by not making himself look even remotely irascible. In the process, he manipulated an unknowing Jak into retrieving the last Precursor egg from the Tomb of Mar, believing he could absorb the essence inside of it to strengthen himself and bring a golden age to the Metal Heads. He also knew that while Jak couldn’t open the egg because his dark eco infusion had tainted his body, his younger self had not yet been corrupted with the material and therefore was able to hatch it. With the revelation that the Precursors themselves are actually ottsels and the essences are mere holograms, this leaves the true purpose of the egg a mystery, even to the somewhat-knowledgeable Kor.

  • Although his units began to shrink in population following his defeat, Kor’s ascension gave him another chance to create a new generation of Metal Heads and find yet another way to obliterate Haven City. Not to mention, having learned from an unknown source that the Precursors were still well and alive, he aimed to tear apart their society until nothing remained. Of course, he could not simply repeat the same trick he used prior, which meant he would have to search elsewhere for aid.

  • While scouring the Wasteland outside the border of Haven, he ran into a colossal, dragonfly-like monster named Megaguirus, who just happened to be looking for prey someplace without being greeted by decked-out human militaries pointing their weapons at her. Kor explained that whatever her deal was, she would have to ally herself with the Hora Quan and promised that both parties would gain an advantage once they warmed up to each other. Luckily for Kor, Megaguirus didn’t give them any hassle and soon allied herself and her subordinates, the Meganulon, with the Metal Head army.

  • In the weeks that followed, the Metal Head-Meganulon alliance gained traction; evil deities from the Insects and Arthropods houses like the Terraformars and Shelob, respectively, saw it as a call to strengthen their reputations and got on the boat. Strangely enough, even non-arthropods like Noob Saibot have respected Kor for his dedication to ridding the universe of the Precursors, stopping by every so often to summon the forces of Netherrealm when Kor’s alliance is in dire straits. Not all, though, have wished to make themselves a part of this alliance. For one, there’s Beelzebub; for some reason, he feels like he would lose his dignity by joining a movement led by someone else – in response, he has simply set up a battalion of his own to serve as an obstacle to Kor. Queen Sectonia also refuses to join because of her horrible experiences with the previously-mentioned Terraformars and her finding the Metal Heads and everyone else involved in the team-up to be just as repulsive in appearance.

  • He’s also gotten along well with a certain chest-bursting race of extraterrestrials called the Xenomorphs. This comes as a surprise to almost every other deity because of their tendency to be on horrible terms with pretty much everyone they encounter. This partnership may have come to be due to them having the same thirst for violence as the Metal Heads, their gray-skinned bodies, and Kor himself having a few things in common with the Xenomorph Queen caste (I.e. Long and thick tail, giant ovular heads, largest member of their respective races, and both capable of reproduction).

  • Given that Kor can only handle so much when it comes to regulating feuds between his partners-in-crime, Kaeden and the Metal Bug Queens (Being more arthropod-like in nature than any of the mainline Metal Head species) have been considerate enough lately to interact with them. Given the fact that Kaeden only interacted with Kor (With whom he had a conflicted relationship with) on a regular basis prior to becoming his herald, the fact that other evil invertebrates have joined the fight has given the Metal Bug chief a colossal morale boost, as well as the Metal Bug units as a whole a reason to be appreciated for something other than being a bunch of throwaway third-rate units.

Ringo Roadagain, God of Explaining Your Powers to the Enemy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ringo_roadagain_7.png
  • House: Power Levels and Appearance (House of Power)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His impossibly stylish goatee
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral
  • Portfolio: Explaining Your Powers to the Enemy To Keep Things Fair (Rewinds Time By Six Seconds), A Charismatic, Brilliant And Noble Foe, Blood Knight, Death Seeker, Silver Fox, A Cool Skull-Goatee, Resembles Charles Bronson, The Gunslinger, Dark and Troubled Past
  • Domains: Duels, Gunslingers, the Wild West, Fairness, Manhood
  • Interested in: Jiren, Whis
  • Allies: John Marston, Hit, Gunvolt, The Heroic Protectors of Family, Boba Fett
  • On good terms with: Theodore Roosevelt, Philip J Fry, Lars Fillmore, Son Goku
  • On speaking terms with: Ringo Starr, Horus
  • Rivals: Jesse McCree, Scarface
  • Respects: George McFly, Emmett Brown, Jarvan Lightshield IV, and to a lesser extent Leonard Snart
  • Enemies: Rapists, successful or attempted (particularly the Brave Companions and Ethan Roark Jr), Lord Djibril
  • Wary of: The House of Thieves
  • Uncertain on: Hunter Zolomon
  • In the Steel Ball Run, Funny Valentine hired a number of people to help in his ambitions. One of them is Ringo Roadagain. He seeks to duel those who come his way in order to purge himself of fear and uncertainty. His Stand, Mandom, lets him rewind time by six seconds, leaving everyone in its range with the memory of what happened in those seconds. An honorable duelist, Ringo explains how his powers work as he feels that it's only proper for both parties to do so, for they may be on an equal level.
  • Named after Ringo Starr, who he seems relatively fond of. Resembles Charles Bronson. And generally on good terms with other cowboy deities, like John Marston. He's planning for a duel with Jesse McCree. Joe Swanson was warned of this and is opposing potential illegal activities as his role as a cop, however there's Nothing Personal and Joe respects Ringo's machismo. Scarface was interested in his Blood Knight nature and duels, and has requested they have a fight.
  • Ringo's youth was not a pleasant one. His father died in prison from a disease after serving in the military. He had hemophilia and both his mother and sisters were killed by a bandit who tried to rape him, but he struck back and shot his would-be assaulter. Because of this, he is a close ally to the Heroic Protectors of Family, and while they don't agree on many things he respects Horus' goal of vengeance against the murder of his father.
  • His Stand, Mandom, lets him rewind time by six seconds with the touch of a wristwatch. It causes disorientation in those unready for it and is mainly a support for duels. Fry was reminded of the 10 second Reset Button he used, though that didn't end well for him. He considers Ringo cool and someone to emulate in the search for mandom. His duplicate Lars has already gone on his own path to strengthen himself.
  • Was hired by Funny Valentine, though he doesn't exactly have any real feelings for the 23rd president. Despite his connection to Valentine, Theodore Roosevelt has a good amount of respect for Ringo, and the feeling is mutual. It's all driven by their shared views in manhood, courage and fair play.
  • Given his background, he tends to stay away from the House of Thieves. But if you're a rapist, attempted of successful, you have Ringo's deep contempt. The full extent of his hatred is directed to Ethan Roark Junior, as he is a sadistic pedophile and Serial Killer (Ringo was 10 at the time of his Attempted Rape), but is also an utter coward which flies in the face of his own journey. For that matter, he loathes Lord Djibril for being an idiotic and psychopathic coward.
  • On the opposite side of things, he respects George McFly for not only stopping date rape, but growing to become a courageous soul and finding his own mandom. He's fond of Doc Brown too, although as a mercenary they tend to keep their distance from him. Boba Fett was impressed by Ringo and his personality, and the two have decided to work bounties together.
  • Has been seen working with Hit and Gunvolt, two honorable assassins. Hit in particular has embraced the idea of a good fight, plus the two share time-based powers. Goku was prepping for a potential fight with him. Ringo is interested in both Whis and Jiren. Whis comes down to his Reset Button power. For Jiren, he has come to seek what lies beyond strength, and has grown from a loner with a troubled past to a stronger man in the mental and emotional sense.
  • Finds the Brave Companions to be a truly repulsive group of assassins. They're rapists and Stupid Evil sadists, not to mention cowards who don't deserve their name. He finds Captain Cold to be a much better person due to his honor, despite being wary due to his nature as a thief. Snart privately admits he's pretty stylish himself.
  • His interest with Captain Cold and mercenary career led him to cross paths with both ascended Flashes, to which he ended up getting involved in duels. Despite their Super Speed they ended up humoring them for a bit when it came to their duels. In general, he likes how they have grown. Hunter Zolomon was intrigued by Ringo due to his self-improvement from tragedy, forcing Gyro to grow and eventually shoot him. Ringo thinks Zolomon has good intentions, but it's the execution which is seriously flawed.

[up][up] Thumbs that were given to approve an idea don't count for the actual profile. Thumbs only count when you say a profile is done and are asking for approvals. Also, there needs to be bullet points on the stuff preceding the flavor text, and the god title needs to be capitalized where it's necessary (specifically, on God and the potholed section of the title).

The Loud Siblings, Divine Massive Numbered Siblings

  • Potential House: Siblings
  • Rank: Quasideities
  • Symbol: Their house
  • Theme Song: The Loud House theme song
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Portfolio: Massive Numbered Siblings, Alliterative Name, Alphabetical Theme Naming, Brother–Sister Team, Dysfunctional Family,Outnumbered Sibling, Meaningful Name
  • Domains: Siblings, Large Family, Living up to their last name.
  • Herald: Lynn Sr and Rita Loud (Their Parents), Clyde McBride (Lincoln's best friend), Ronnie Anne and Bobby Santiago (Lincoln's girlfriend and Lori's boyfriend respectively), Sam Sharp(Luna's girlfriend)
  • Allies: Most other gods in the House of Siblings, most other Nicktoons
  • Enemies: Vicky, anyone who will hurt a sibling.
  • The House of Family was discovered to strangely louder then normal. It was discovered a large group of siblings was to blame. Brought before the Counsel of the Gods, the siblings were quickly approved to ascend. The Pantheon better look out, because here comes the Louds!
  • The other Nicktoons were rather pleased to see them all finally arrive. Vicky, one the other hand, was annoyed. She quickly started plotting to trick the older siblings into babysitting the younger ones.
  • All eleven are fiercely protective of each other and even the strongest gods are a bit afraid to hurt one, lest they suffer the wrath of all eleven.
  • Lincoln ended up befriending the Kids Next Door after stumbling on to one of their missions to defeat Father. For the most part, they like him, even if they are a little wary of his sisters.

I know there is a lot that can be added to this, but I wanted to put the idea out there and let others help me come up with more(not that familiar with the show, but I know the basics)

  • Complicated Relationships: Ramna Saotome, Carl Clover, Merkava
  • Enemies: Relius Clover, Yuuki Terumi, Hazama, Azrael
  • Mai was born Mai Hazuki, heir of one of the the Duodecim noble families just like Jin and Tsubaki. A week prior to enrolling in the military academy, she was changed from a boy to a girl by a grimoire, and unable to change back, was send by her father to the academy under an alias. There, she becomes the classmate and friend of Noel Vermillion, Makoto Nanaya, Tsubaki Yayoi, and Kajun Faycott. While initially sheltered and timid, as well as uncomfortable with her new gender, Mai eventually learned to open up to others and become more self-confident. She even starts to enjoy her new life as a girl after seeing how much freedom she had compared to her life as heir to the Hazuki family, and even falls in love with a male classmate. While her friends do eventually find out her secret, they still accept her for who she is and Mai soon comes to fully accept her change in life, seeing herself as a girl and deciding live life as a woman. After leaving the academy, she comes to join Sector Seven and work under Professor Kokonoe alongside Kajun.
  • The Court of the Gods read her case and offered Mai a position in the Pantheon as the Goddess of Accepting her New Gender. Mai accepted upon learning her friends were in the Pantheon, and a happy reunion ensued between her, Noel, Makoto, and Tsubaki. Mai also got to meet the other gods who participated in the Cross Tag Battle tournament, such as Mitsuru, Chie, and Ruby.
    • She was eager to eat Noel's cooking to celebrate her ascension. Because the grimoire gave her "Super Taste", Mai is the only one who can eat Noel's cooking, because her enhanced taste buds prevent her from enjoying normal food. Mai is able to taste the good feelings Noel put into her cooking, so it's the only food she can eat. Makoto and Tsubaki are at the very least grateful they have a valid excuse not to eat Noel's food.
      • The girls on the Investigation Team (except for Naoto) were also infamous for being Lethal Chefs, but their Mystery Food X is also edible to Mai. When Teddie tried using it against her, it only ended up healing her. Rise, Chie, and Yukiko said they would have gladly served their food to her if they had before sometime during their journey. Chie also likes to spar alongside Mai every now and then.
    • Makoto and Mai are Friendly Rivals, praising each over their their improved skills during their spars. Makoto also likes to get physically close to Mai, much to the latter's embarrassment.
    • She had crossed paths with Ragna the Bloodedge twice, the first during her days as an academy student (albeit not knowing who he was nor the fact he had the Azure Grimoire she and her friends were looking for), the second when she fought against him to protect Bell. Both times they did work together during their meetings, though Ragna had forgotten meeting her when they met a second time. They finally meet again in the Pantheon, this time on better terms now after Mai learned of his struggles in their world and seeing how much he's changed as the person (She outright stated once she could tell he's not a bad person despite fighting him to protect Bell, which is why she came to his rescue). Mai also learned that he's Noel's big brother, and is happy at the least Noel has a big brother she can count on.
    • She's one of the few people Jin Kisaragi treats kindly. Whenever they're fighting together, he compliments her on her skills, and she returns the favor. She's also quite surprised to learn that Jin and Ragna are brothers, and while concerned when she heard about their relationship, is at least happy to know they're on better terms.
      • Mai is one of the few who ships her friend Tsubaki with Jin. She recalls the time she tried to help Tsubaki win the position the position of Izanami during the Torifune festival so she can be alongside Jin, only for Tsubaki to ask her not to do it again.
    • Relius Clover is one the few people Mai has outright contempt for, considering how he treats people as objects. She was treated as an object once due to the grimoire fusing with her body, so Relius' atrocities are very personal to her. She's also horrified to learn that his son Carl is starting to follow in his footsteps, unable to recognize him from the same sweet boy she met in the academy all those years ago. Mai wants to save Carl from himself before he crosses the point of no return.
    • Soon got to reunite with Ruby Rose, who just like before, was excited to see her weapon and examine it. Though unlike before, Ruby has grown more mature and calm, and both she and Mai already gotten to enjoy fighting together. Mai also met Ruby's teammates, as well as the members of Team JNPR, coming to befriend them all, especially Pyrhha Nikos due to how the two of them formed friendships that helped them to open up to people.
    • Hyde Kido proved himself to be a good partner towards Mai during the Cross Tag Battle tournament. While Hyde did underestimate her strength initially, he did apologize for it once Mai proved herself. Mai also got to meet some of Hyde's other friends, such as Orie Ballardiae (who reminds of Tsubaki) and Vatista (whose personality as an Emotionless Girl reminds her of Bell), quickly becoming friends with them as well.
  • Cu Chulainn was greatly interested in Mai's spear due to how much it resembles Gae Bolg. He is also fascinated by how Mai can alter the trajectory of the spear, to the point he has challenged Mai to battle to see which of their spears is better. Mai does accept these challenges, though is put off by how he teases her sometimes.
  • Mai has met other gods that underwent Gender Bender just like her, including:
    • Yuuta and Yui had swapped bodies as children, and it took them 8 years before they could accept their circumstances and become a couple. Mai greatly sympathizes with their pain of having to pretend to be someone else and the effects it had on their personal identity, and admits that if she didn't have her friends, she might have ended up miserable like they did in the alternate timeline.
    • Mizuki Suzuhiro was unexpectedly changed into a girl just like her, but eventually grew to like it, especially after falling in love with a male friend. Unsurprisingly, Mai and Mizuki get along very well, with the former helping her to adjust to the change while Mizuki ships Mai with Taro and hopes they can become a couple just like her and Takeru.
    • Ranma Saotome can switch between his male and female forms, though he clearly doesn't like it and would have preferred he got rid of his curse entirely. While Mai does offer her condolences, Ranma avoids her because he is disturbed by a former boy growing to like being a girl.
    • There are also gods that undergo a Super Gender-Bender when they prepare for battle:
      • Natsuru Senou's female form is attractive enough to get the attention of both the boys and the girls, though Natsuru isn't comfortable with all this attention, nor the fact that most people tend to acknowledge him for his female form only. Mai admits she understands the identity crisis, since she was worried about losing what made her Mai before she came to accept it.
      • Souji Mitsuka's Tail Red form gets a lot of attention from everybody for being cute, something that does embarrass Souji but he doesn't make a big deal of now. Mai gets along with Souji well, though she is flabbergasted by his fetish towards twin tails and was also surprised he had didn't have too much of the awkwardness that came from first transforming (not counting the time he turned into Sora Mitsuka).
      • Souta Kishibe can become a Magical Girl named La Pucelle, which was a dream come true to him since he always admired Magical Girls. While there was awkwardness upon his first transformation, he embraced his role as a Magical Girl and vowed to become strong enough to protect Snow White, which sadly was cut short upon his death. Mai struck up a fast friendship with Souta, and sympathized with him over how his life was cut short after just becoming a Magical Girl and meeting his childhood friend again.
  • Became fast friends with Mai Shiranui, who shares both her first name and for also being Ms. Fanservice personified. The fact that Mai Natsume was originally male doesn't bother Shiranui at all, and in fact she acts like a Cool Big Sis for Natsume while also acting as a source of encouragement.
  • Mai is nervous around Merkava for feeding on people, yet also sympathetic towards him when she learns that he was formerly a man and is driven by Horror Hunger. Merkava in turn shows sympathy for Mai to the conflict between her body and soul (A former boy turned into girl), even when she denies it and tells Merkava she's happy with the person she is.

  • Enemies: Junko Enoshima!! and Monokuma, Tsumigi Shirogane, Monaca Towa, Agatha Trunchbull, Dolores Umbridge, Father (Codename: Kids Next Door)

  • After graduating, Chisa Yukizone became a teacher at Kyosuke Munakata's request so the trio of friends, (her, him and Juzo Sakakura) could investigate the possible corruption at Hope's Peak. While she did become a teacher to investigate Hope's Peak, her enthusiasm for being a teacher was not faked and she truly cared for her students. There was many difficulties, such Natsumi Kuzuryu's and Sato's deaths ,Nagito bombing the gym which resulted in her being sent to the reserve course for half a year and Hajime's disappearance, but she continued to care for her students and investigating into Hope's Peak. However the worst would come during The Parade, when she chose to rescue Chiaki and Nagito instead of regrouping with Juzo and Kyosuke. While she managed to get Chiaki and Nagito away from Junko's hideout, she got captured in the process and in turn brainwash via a lobotomy when she proved to be resistant against the brainwashing video. As a brainwash member of Ultimate Despair she lead Chiaki to her death which lead to her classmate's brainwashing. While her class was off destroying the world as members of Ultimate Despair, she would spread despair by corrupting Kyosuke (and by extension,Juzo) in becoming a Knight Templar, climaxing in her death in which he found photos of her murdering children and reveling to be a member of Ultimate Despair to drive him mad. However she is shown to have lost her despair state in the afterlife theater, and got to watch her class prevail against despair.
  • When the title of Enthusiastic Newbie Teacher became available it was none other than her old friend and classmate Juzo Sakakura who suggested she'd be given the title and with the backing of her old students, who would still say she was a great teacher in spite of what happened to all them. She would then be picked up from the afterlife theater to join the pantheon where she would break into tears at being reunited with some of her old students and friend, who she though she would never see again.
  • She would spend a few hours apologizing to everybody she hurt directly or indirectly. While it's hard to pardon her actions like all former members of Ultimate Despair, like the rest of them she was still brainwash into doing those acts. The one she apologies to the most to is the Human Chiaki for getting her killed. Chiaki forgives her because she wasn't herself and admits that both of them could have rescue each other with more of a plan. They have since spent time together working on making amends and catching up on lost times. Chisa also ships Chiaki with Hajime Hinata, having first seen them together on her first day on the job and knowing just how much they mean to each other.
  • When Makoto finally got to meet the real Chisa Yukizome in the Pantheon (when he spoke to her during his trial, he was unaware at the time she was brainwashed), she apologized to him for the pain he had to go through. Makoto knows that it wasn't her fault, and admits if he had known about her state, he would have saved her along with her students. Chisa is grateful to Makoto for saving her students and Hajime Hinata, stating if she hadn't been brainwashed, she would have done anything to save her students. She also thanks Makoto for saving Kyouske from the despair state her brainwashed self put him through, and regrets putting him on the path that led him to become a Knight Templar. She hopes one day Kyosuke can ascend into the Pantheon so she can amends and help return him to being the kind man he once was.
  • Juzo Sakakura, being one of Chisa's friends, was also unsurprisingly lenient with Chisa. He already learned what became of her when he ascended into the Pantheon, and admits he hates himself for never realizing what Junko did to her. Chisa states that he couldn't have known, and admits that Juzo was right about her Fatal Flaw of being too absorbed into things, wishing that she had actually asked for help before she went to save her students. Juzo, does note however he now has another reason to hate Junko Enoshima.
  • While Roll and Elenore Baker are maids rather housekeepers, they still get along with Chisa not only for a having a similar position to theirs, but also for being a motherly figure to her students. Chisa notes how her love for her master is similar to her love for Kyosuke, to the point they would die to save them. Roll is also loyal to her surrogate family as well, and just like Chisa, would what she can to protect them.
  • Being a teacher, Chisa met other teachers in the Pantheon. Chisa got along with the likes of Minerva McGonagull, Izumi Curtis (though she does find her teaching methods a little extreme), Aikuro Mikisugi, Seymour Skinner, Yoshinoya-sensei (they have similar teaching methods, and even hang out with their students, though Chisa wouldn't really pose naked) and Penny. Chisa does sympathize with Edna Krabappel, hoping she can at least help her improve her life as a teacher and help her understand her students. However, Agatha Trunchbull and Dolores Umbridge are so abhorrent as teachers that Chisa can't stand them, especially since they abused the children and students they're supposed to help and guide.
    • Though she calls Denzel a horrible excuse for a teacher, Chisa does sympathize with him when she discovered how he Used to Be a Sweet Kid, before a horrible mistake from Timmy ended up changing him into the crazy Fairy-obsessed man he is. Chisa wonders if one day Crocker can regain his memory and personality he once had prior to losing his Fairy Godparents.
    • Severus Snape surprisingly shows a soft spot towards Chisa after hearing her story, acknowledging how much she meant to Kyosuke and actually showing contempt for Junko Enoshima for what she did to her. He admits that his life would have taken a far worse turn if Lily had been brainwashed to point of undergoing the loss of her personality. While Chisa doesn't condone his treatment of his students, she does admit that he was a better spy than her.
    • Chisa and Koro-Sensei get along due to be good teachers to their students, since they know their students well enough to help effectively. Of course, Koro-Sensei does show Tranquil Fury towards Junko when he heard of how she had Chisa lobotomized and used her to kill her favorite student Chiaki and brainwash the other students. Chisa in turn is saddened by how Koro-Sensei's career as a teacher ended with his death, but at least is happy his students are able to graduate and had a happy time with him while it lasted.
  • Chisa is horrified by Father did to the members of Sector V of the KND due to it reminding her of how she was brainwashed. Despite being told the transformation was permanent, Chisa still hopes that maybe one day the Delightful Children can be restored to their original selves.
  • Shows great sympathy towards Byleth as a fellow teacher, since regardless of the choices they make, they are forced to fight some of their students. Chisa lampshades how they suffered from a tragedy as teachers, since she and her students were brainwashed to become terroists (and even Chisa's first victim ended up being her favorite student, Chiaki), while Byleth is forced to choose one side over the other, and can't actually bring them together no matter what.

Catching up to some old profiles i overlooked.

@Crimson [tup] for Not Important and those two guys from the beat em up i played when i was young. Guess Captain Commando should come sooner or later then.

@Crownless Reva has a lot of similarities with Brigitte Lindholm so i guess i can see them being friends, same goes for Reinhardt who i guess she would love to train under.

Selicy would probably find Frost to be both lame and despicable. The fact that the cyborg-lady is an Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy who would look down on her cryomancy might piss her off.

Is Shopkeeper supposed to be evil? Anyway i can see her working with The Merchant and Crazy Dave

@Ferot I think the house can go live whenever you feel like it. Remember to update all outdated links and yeah, i think Uni can go.

Obligatory repost. The Tiger I tank from Fury (2014) goes up today. If there's any last-minute suggestions, feel free to leave. Otherwise, I'll be posting this profile as is.

Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E Tiger I (Sd.Kfz.181, A F***ing Beast, Goddamn Tiger)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/800px_tiger_131_1.jpg
  • [tup]s: 3 (General Gigan 817, wootzits, Super Wiki 1)
  • Theme: Tiger Battle
  • Appearance: An early-production Tiger I Ausf. E painted in dark yellow, with leaves and small camouflage nets placed over its hull, turret, and main gun
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: The Dreaded, Having camouflage placed over its turret, main gun, and hull, Walking Spoiler, Having almost impenetrable front armor and a powerful main gun, Small Role, Big Impact, Rare Vehicles, Tank Goodness
  • Domain: Combat, Tanks, War
  • The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E, better known as the Tiger I, was a heavy tank used by Nazi Germany during World War II. Less than 1,400 would be produced from 1942 to August 1944. It was used mainly by Heavy Panzer Battalions of the Heer and Waffen-SS. Eventually, it was supplanted in production by the even heavier Tiger II tank, which was armed with an even bigger main gun and featured even thicker frontal armor.
  • This particular example was encountered by the crew of the M4A3E8 "Fury" during a brief, but memorable, battle during the Allied advance into Germany in April 1945. Knocking out three of the Sherman tanks accompanying "Fury", it was ultimately destroyed when the latter's crew fired two 76mm armor-piercing shells into its rear, where the tank's armor was thinnest. Two of the crew were apparently killed in when the tank was knocked out, while the driver and radio operator tried to flee the burning tank, only to be killed by Sgt. Wardaddy. The tank commander, however, tried to shoot the latter instead in an apparent Taking You with Me situation, with said commander being killed by "Fury's" bow gunner Norman.
    • Given the condition it was in, it was heavily implied that it was a tank damaged sometime in early 1943, brought back to Germany to be repaired, and then broken out and pressed back into service out of desperation.
    • The Tiger's crew themselves appeared to be woefully inexperienced, given their poor decisions and tactical mistakes made during that brief skirmish with "Fury" and her crew.
    • Overall, this wouldn't have been surprising, given the deteriorating state of Nazi Germany's forces in the closing weeks of the war.
  • Following its disastrous battle with Fury, this particular Tiger ended up as a burned, smoldering wreck in a field in Germany for an unknown period of time. Somehow, this wreck mysteriously ended up in the Pantheon, where it was eventually found by a squad of SS soldiers. Upon analyzing the wrecked tank, they eventually realize that it's in repairable condition, and thus they decide to have it brought back to Fort Schmerzen in several pieces, where it can be properly restored.
  • Following an extensive restoration process, the tank is eventually brought back into running condition, complete with fully functioning weapons. Before any of the Nazi leadership can find a suitable crew for it, however, the tank is then stolen by OSS agents Lt. Mike Powell and Sgt. Jack Barnes. Powell, having already immersed and familiarized himself in the similarly laid-out King Tiger tank, easily manages to adjust to this one. Barnes, on the other hand, again, manages to somehow drive and fire the main gun by his lonesome during this hijack.
  • Upon its capture by the Allied deities, it is brought through numerous trials and analysis. Many of the ones who had encountered Tiger I tanks in the field before, such as Lt. Karl Fairburne, Cpl. Bill Taylor, and Cpl. Boyd Travers, are all brought forward in order to demonstrate and showcase the Tiger's weak spots, and just what kind of weapons should be used to take one out.
  • After repeated tests and training demonstrations, it is eventually decided to preserve the Tiger as a museum piece, alongside its former adversary, the M4A3E8 "Fury". With Barnes' permission, Yukari Akiyama is allowed near the tank. Unsurprisingly, she is amazed, and once again, goes on a long lecture that impresses every deity present. Even the normally aloof Karl Fairburne is impressed by her knowledge of the inner workings of the tank.
Yukari Akiyama: The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E, better known as the Tiger. Armed with an 8.8cm KWK 36 tank gun, this tank was used by the elite Heavy tank battalions of the Heer and Waffen-SS. It could destroy its most common opponents, the Soviet T-34 and American Sherman from thousands of meters, while the latter two had to get within 500 meters to the side or rear of the Tiger just to get a chance of knocking it out. On the flipside, however, the Tiger was expensive and time-consuming to produce, and because of this only less than 1,400 would be built. It would later be succeeded by the Tiger II, which was heavier, had a more powerful gun, and featured thicker armor.
  • Maho Nishizumi herself is pretty impressed at how the Nazis in the Pantheon had managed to restore the tank into combat-ready conditions. In essence, this Tiger was almost identical to the one she personally commanded, with the primary difference being that this one is geared towards actual combat and not one of the mock battles she parttakes in.
  • This tank is, essentially, the Evil Counterpart to the Tiger Striker Unit also found in the Pantheon. While both were developed by their universe's versions of Nazi Germany, the latter was used for an ultimately benevolent cause of fighting an Alien Invasion, while this tank was used to fight back the Allies in a desperate Last Stand of a dying regime.
  • Like "Fury", this Tiger is not, in any way, a Sapient Tank. It's just an ordinary, battle-scarred tank with a history to it. Although, given that Nazis such as Milleneum are also in the Pantheon, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to see this particular Tiger turned into one ala White Tiger...
  • Of special note is that, Tiger 131, the Real Life tank used to portray this example, is also a museum piece in running condition, and is from the same museum as the Sherman tank used to portray "Fury". It is also the last running Tiger I tank in Real Life as well, and serves as one of the main attractions of the Bovington Tank Museum.

A thought; isn't Junko's emotional masochism hypocritical? If you enjoy your own despair, it doesn't really count as despair. Also, what gods might critique the Phantom Thieves on their methods, stating they're Not So Different from YHVH because they brainwash people to behave. Rework nomination: I'd like to do the One-and-Only Dark Lord, Sauron in regards to tweaking and improving his profile. Keeping Evil Overlord primarily because he's easily one of the best examples in fictional media + parts of The Silmarillion and most of The Lord of the Rings showcase how much negative influence he has over Middle-earth via his governing of an army amassed to take over the world. Additionally, I feel like the One Ring would be better off if it was part of Sauron's profile. Keep in mind, the Ring harbors a part of the Dark Lord's soul and is instrumental to his maximum power and potential. Technically, the One Ring is Sauron, or at least a faction of him that acts as a power amplifier + Soul Jar.

[down][down] It's... complicated. The Ring isn't a living being, but it has a consciousness of its own, mainly because of Sauron's influence.

@Clovis: The Persona characters Trish can be befriend are Fuuka Yamagishi and Rise Kujikawa. Fuuka because they both gotten more confident over time and Rise because they both became idols though Trish became one after her fight against her father was over.
