Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

[up][up][tup].

The Imperium of Mankind operates in a Gray-and-Grey Morality, so some of their actions can come across as good intentions, yet extreme to very morally questionnable. Yes, some members of the Imperium, the Emperor included are capable of actions that lean closer to Lawful Good, but to their enemies and those that don't agree with them, they can just as easily come off as Lawful Evil as well.

@Grimgor - some kind interaction with Thrall and Rexxar can be interesting as they're good-aligned Orcs. Enemies with Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli due to their experience in battling Orcs. Sauron may be interested in having Grimgor as an ally, given he does have Ghazgull as an ally as well. There is a little problem in that Sauron looks kinda like Malekith though.

Can I ask for approvals for Punky and Rafe. I seriously just want to be done with them.

Also kind of got ignored regarding Toppo? Anything that can be suggested for the Pride Trooper Leader?

Prototype Mode:

Toppo, God of Overly Boisterous Poses and Phrases (Top)

  • Overdeity
  • Symbol: His Signature Stache on a red and black background
  • Theme Song: March of Justice (Generally), Unknown Territory (As a God of Destruction)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good (Briefly True Neutral as a God of Destruction)
  • Portfolio: Leader of the Pride Troopers, Wearing a Primarily Red Uniform, Inspired by Super Sentai, Hero Antagonist, Fat and Fast, Is Adamant about Eliminating Evil, Is Among the Strongest Universe 11 has to Offer, Proclaiming "Justice!" Consttantly in his Attacks, Can be Pragmatic during Battle, Honor Before Reason, Making Very Boisterous and Over-the-Top Postures, Old Superhero, Can Become a God of Destruction despite said Transformation being rather Unrefined
  • Domains: Justice, Leadership, Heroes, Teamwork, Power, Godhood, Destruction
  • Heralds: The Pride Troopers (Dyspo, Kahseral, K'nsi, Cocotte, Vewon, Tupper, Zoire and Kettle)
  • Allies: Jiren, Dr. Tommy Oliver and the Ascended Power Rangers and Super Sentais, Clark Kent/Superman, Orion, Saitama, Statesman, Shin Hayata/Ultraman, Irina Shidou
  • Enemies: Frieza, Zamasu, Cell, Majin Buu, Dark Specter, Lord Drakkon, Evolto, Ultraman Belial, Lex Luthor, Darkseid, Mongul, Thanos, The Plutonian
  • On Good Terms With: Son Goku, Vegeta, Zeno, The Z Fighters
  • Opposes: The House of Villains (on principle)
  • When the galaxy is constantly under threat of evil beings, a team of heroes unite to fight against them and uphold the protection of billions of innocents throughout space. This is a job the Pride Troopers of Universe 11 partake in and have developed a rather likeable reputation throughout, even winning the favour of the God of Destruction, Belmod and his Angel, Marcarita. Initially, the two were interested to take one of the Pride Troopers, Jiren under the apprenticeship of becoming a God of Destruction candidate as he was arguably the strongest mortal across the 12 established universes, but he refused. The offer was instead given to the leader, Toppo, who took it upon himself to ensure Universe 11 is protected and secure from any and all harm.
    • Even with his work ethic and dedication, his universe was still ranked among those that were to be destroyed by Zeno... until Goku proposed the idea of a tournament where the 8 selected universes to be destroyed were to battle against one another in an effort to be spared and be granted the Super Dragon Balls. Thus commenced the Tournament of Power, where Toppo did his best to assure the success of his team, personally leading them against the contenders. However, as more and more of his comrades fell until only him, Dyspo and Jiren remained, Toppo became disgruntled and cynical, eventually discarding his stance of "Justice". It culminated when, after seeing only Universes 7 and 11 remaining, Dyspo eliminated and being overwhelmed by a combined effort from Frieza and Android 17, Toppo decided to tap into his God of Destruction powers and dominate Universe 7... until Vegeta showed up and eventually overpowered and knocked him out of the tournament fields. He was erased from existence once Jiren was eliminated and Universe 11 was declared runner-up, though Android 17 decided to wish for the erased universes to be resurrected regardless, with Toppo and the rest of Universe 11 coming back to life. He's currently making sure he's there for Jiren and to lead the Pride Troopers as much as he could.
  • Toppo ascended into the Pantheon after receiving a distress call from an unknown benefactor who told him and the Pride Troopers about dealing with a threat capable of destroying planets. Wasting no time, Toppo lead the Pride Troopers to a planet where they came across Mongul, who was kidnapping innocent civilians in the hopes of having them compete in fighting against one another to the death for his own amusement. The Pride Troopers did battle against Mongul's forces with Toppo himself clashing with the Evil Overlord in a brutal battle. It ended in a stalemate with the Pride Troopers worn out and much of Mongul's army beaten down. Mongul made a getaway, claiming he isn't done, whereas Toppo made as much effort as he could to find and reassure survivors.
    • The Pride Troopers were called upon by the Court of the Gods to testify their actions regarding their battle against Mongul. Toppo stated that he received a distress call, which is how he made his way to the battlefield and did as much as he could to find and save any survivors, provided they weren't killed by Mongul's pillaging army. His words bought him some ounce of respect from the House of Heroes who praised his and the Pride Troopers' efforts. The case ended with Toppo properly ascending into the Pantheon, representing Milking the Giant Cow, much to his chagrin as it's more telling about being over-the-top about his habit of posing and saying justice, in contrast to his work as a hero. He was able to convince the court to keep the Pride Troopers as his heralds, to which the Court decided to allow for, ensuring that Toppo enters a battle with his comrades.

[down] I stand corrected. Still, characters in W40K are capable of being anywhere on the Good Spectrum, even if it's rare.

[up][up][up] You're missing the obvious point: the Pride Troopers are pretty clearly based on the Green Lantern Corps, and Toppo roiding out definitely seems like Atrocitus.

Anything else, or are these good to go?

King Midas, God of The Transmuting Touch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2142.jpg
A painting of Midas with donkey ears
  • House: Physical Powers (House of Power)
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: A hand made of gold
  • Theme Song: Gold by Imagine Dragons
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: The Midas Touch Wishing He Could Turn Things To Gold With A Touch,Including Food And Water, Accidental Murder By Touching His Daughter, Sacred Hospitality, Sometimes Gets His Powers Undone And Her Daughter Revived
  • Domains: Greed, Gold, Royalty, Wishes, Tragedy
  • Complicated relationship with: Bacchus (well, Dionysus)
  • Sought by: The SCP Foundation
  • Allies: Timmy Turner, Ebeenzer Scrooge, The Trix Rabbit, Firestorm, Edward Elric, Cassim and Aladdin, Pinocchio
  • On good terms with: Scott Summers
  • Enemies: Calypso, Tywin Lannister, Walder Frey, Smaug, Fafnir, Heihachi Mishima, The Coachman, the Grand United Alliance of Destruction, Jason Grace
  • Opposes: Kratos, Apollo
  • Pitied by: The Houses of Family and Food, Genie, Scrooge McDuck, Mr Krabs, Fred C Dobbs
  • Confused by: Larfleeze
  • Be careful what you wish for, and you might just get it. King Midas was given a wish by Dionysus, and the wish he chose is to turn what he touched into gold. At first it worked well; Midas got to appeal to his greed and make twigs and plants gold. But the touch didn't discriminate, and turned food and drink to gold. In some stories, even his own daughter wasn't immune to his utter horror. Though a terrible fate, some tales have a mercy with him washing his hands in the river Pactolus to undo it after praying to Dionysus. This is why it's thought the river sands have an abundance of gold and electrum.
  • Tragically, in the original myth his wish was granted due to observing Sacred Hospitality; he gave hospitality to Dionysus' old satyr schoolmaster Silenus. Naturally, he is as disgusted as anybody would be for Walder Frey's great breach of guest right. Frey's "ally" Tywin takes a more sinister opinion on Midas; he's an idiot but he can be used to replenish the Lannister coffers.
  • Even after dealing with one curse, Midas still made mistakes. He claimed that Pan was a better musician than Apollo, who thought he must've had an ass's ear to think so. Guess what happened. At least it's not as bad as what the Coachman did, who he is very disgusted by. Having narrowly avoided the full ass treatment, Pinocchio sympathizes with his second curse and Midas wants to work with Pinocchio to bring the Coachman down.
  • Because of his power turning food and drink to solid gold, he is pitied by the House of Food. But the House of Family pities him for a larger reason; inadvertently turning his own daughter to gold. As this was utterly unintentional, King Midas is as disgusted as anyone that Heihachi Mishima wants to off the offspring.
  • Scrooge McDuck might go so far as swimming in money, but after seeing what happened to King Midas he just wants to give him a hug for his misfortune. Mr Krabs showed some pity as he had a similar problem; he wished to be able to talk to money, but they talked back to him and hated him being a cheapskate and not spending them. Granted the problem was a lack of riches, but he still relates to Midas in how their greed bit them in the ass. As does Fred C Dobbs, who's greed led to his death.
  • King Midas finds himself relating to Timmy Turner as they both have a problem with not thinking their wishes through. Genie pities how bad his wish went, and he sometimes relates to Scott Summers over Power Incontinence. Naturally he gives Calypso the stink eye for twisting wishes into something negative for the user. He also relates to Ebeneezer Scrooge in how their greed bit them in the ass and they learned a lesson from it.
  • Sought after alchemists for advice about the touch, fully aware of the irony his curse is one of the main goals of the field. He ended up meeting Edward Elric, who's skill in alchemy let him reverse some of the damage his Midas Touch did...to an extent. His alchemy uses Equivalent Exchange, it's not magic and doesn't violate issues of density like turning things like bark to the much denser gold does. Firestorm's ability to change elemental compositions was handy for Midas, though he's stated organic transmutation is a whole different manner.
  • Both Smaug and Fafnir would love to harvest the Midas Touch to give them as much gold as their greedy hearts desire. The House of Commerce is trying to protect Midas from exploitation, since the more gold he'd make, the less valuable the gold market would be.
  • The GUAD recognizes the potentially apocalyptic potential of turning things to gold with a touch. If he can turn water into solid gold, they might be able to use the Midas Touch on the ocean and dehydrate the majority of life on Earth. The SCP Foundation recognize the danger as akin to SCP-009 and will shelter him from the GUAD.
  • Though Midas is given relief from his curse in some universes, in others he's not so lucky. One had him seek an end, to which Kratos gave him one...in a river of lava. Midas was infuriated by this as he wanted a Mercy Kill, though Kratos has softened up over then and has apologized for not making his end swifter.
  • Another timeline implies that his hand and its ability to turn things to gold will survive him. It's the treasure that Cassim was looking for, but ultimately decided it wasn't worth it compared to his family. King Midas respects the King of Thieves and his son, and upon learning of their endeavors welcomes any visit from them.
  • Thought to have learned his lesson, but some say he never learned his lesson about greed. Only how reverse its effects with running water. He even turned his daughter back into a gold statue after he decided he prefers her that way, as well as several others. he was beaten when Jason blew open a hole in his roof with lightning, undoing the effects on his victims and leaving him at their mercy. Midas insists that was a case of Came Back Wrong and not the real him.
  • Some wonder why King Midas didn't just wear gloves, and he admits it might've worked but hindsight is 20/20. Definitely doing so now that he's in the pantheon. Larfleeze has expressed pity for him, but for the completely wrong reason; if he turns more things into gold, he devalues it by making the stuff less rare, and that doesn't work for his greedy mind. For that reason the Orange Lantern wouldn't want him or his powers.

Ammit, Goddess of Post-Mortem Non-Existence (The Devourer of the Dead, Eater of Hearts, Great of Death, Ammut, Ahemait)

Artist's interpretation of Ammit
  • House: Afterlife Entities (House of Life and Death)
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: A scale with the heart outweighing the feather of Ma'at
  • Theme Song: Ammit, Devourer of Souls
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Soul Eating To End The Afterlives Of Sinners, Mix-and-Match Critters, Has The Head Of A Crocodile, Our Demons Are Different
  • Domains: Monsters, The Afterlife, Death and Annihilation, Chimeras(Crocodile, Lion and Hippo)
  • Interests: Jabba the Hutt
  • Allies: Osiris, Anubis, Cerberus, Ramon, Dhuum, Flynn, Nanashi, Tadano Hitonari, Hibiki Kuze, Bolvar Fondragon
  • On speaking terms with: Reapers and psychopomps, Silvally
  • Rivals: The Dementors
  • Enemies: Apophis, AM, Voldemort
  • Avoided by: Marceline the Vampire Queen, the Forms of Immortality and Manners of Revival sub-houses
  • Feared by: All deities from Ancient Egypt, those who faced the Dementors, Captain Hook
  • The Land of the Dead can be a dangerous place without proper instructions, but those who make it to the end are judged. Their heart is weighed with the feather of Ma'at, the sins being its weight. The feather weighs more? Welcome to paradise. But if the heart weighs more from sin? Ammit arrives, devouring it and the sinner. There is no fate afterwards for them; Ammit has devoured their soul and they no longer exist.
  • The method judgement Ammit is part of are similar to Bolvar Fondragon; the righteous have nothing to fear, the wicked get Deader than Dead for their troubles. The two have formed a bond over this. Ammit has also fought Yami Yugi in a Shadow Game involving Shadi, but that wasn't personal for Ammit and more than believes he deserves his rest in the afterlife.
  • Ammit is a monster with the head of a crocodile, the mane/upper body of a lion, and the lower body of a hippo. In short, terrifying. Most feline deities want to steer clear of her. Ramon, however, was a crocodile that was spooky enough on its own to be curious about the Egyptian demon and offered some food for Ammit as a sign it means no harm. Ammit appreciated it and the two became friends. Due to how he got a hook for a hand, Captain Hook was terrified by this development.
  • Ammit fits the idea of a chimera, though predates Greek mythology. Technically considered a demon, but usually feels at home in the House of Monsters. She was curious about Silvally and while not allies, seems to tolerate the artificial chimera. Discord, himself made of various creatures, has wondered what would happen if she was discorded.
  • The name depends on the translation, but denizens of the Shin Megami Tensei multiverse call her Ammut. She has sided with a number of protagonists, but remains neutral aligned. She doesn't have an opinion on YHVH or Lucifer, compared to the Egyptian gods, what with being more of a demonic beast not concerned with Divine Conflict. It's probably for the best that they keep it that way.
  • Cessation of Existence is supposed to be a permanent affair, but this is the Trope Pantheon; with Ammit, it simply takes longer(and is a lot more traumatizing). This annoys Ammit as she wants more souls for dinner and the pantheon won't let her. Dhuum sympathizes with this and the desire for final death. While she works for Osiris and Anubis, she likes being with Dhuum.
  • Tends to associate with the grim reapers and psychopomps of the pantheon; she's well-behaved enough not to take whatever souls they have with them at the time. Jabba the Hutt was amused by how Ammit eats sinners and is thinking of making her a pet, which most scoff at. Being beasts who play an important role in the afterlife, Ammit likes to hang out with Cerberus as well.
  • Voldemort wants to kick Ammit out because she can easily just eat horcruxes and is powerful enough to ignore the protection charm. The Dementors meanwhile want all the souls to themselves, and Ammit is frustrated by them stealing her food. Given she devours souls, most Harry Potter deities are creeped out by Ammit. At the very least the victims have no more existence rather than an Empty Shell existence.
  • True to sadistic form, AM has contempt for Ammit because by destroying souls and causing a Cessation of Existence it denies the malevolent super-computer a chance to torment said souls. And as with all Egyptian deities, Ammit is no fan of Apophis. While not an enemy, Marceline wants to steer clear of her because the fact she has absorbed vampire souls and powers means it could make her look tasty to Ammit.
  • It is not known if, were it not for the Death Is Cheap nature of the pantheon, that Ammit could render immortals Deader than Dead. Presumably not those with Complete Immortality, and it might just be that Ammit can only attack those who are already dead. She would definitely prevent revivals. Neither the Forms of Immortality or Manners of Revival sub-houses want her anywhere near them.
  • With her destructive abilities and monstrous appearances, even the SCP Foundation made a one-time mistake of thinking Ammit was SCP-682. Given 682's Multiple-Choice Past, it was a fringe theory they were the same, but now they're proven otherwise they decided Ammit might be able to terminate 682 once and for all. This proved yet another failure as 682 didn't have a soul, or at least lacked one that Ammit could remotely recognize. 682 was frustrated with the attempt on its life, however does hate Ammit a little less than humans for permanently destroying "disgusting" life-forms, and being a literal monster with reptilian qualities.

Does anyone have anything to say about my nominations on the previous page? And what about the suggestion for Enya to represent Gypsy Curse, since I never got an answer for that?

My current list of Suggestions:

  • Guy Fieri for the Greasy Spoon: I know Dragon-Kid has it for Mila, but I don't think it works for her considering she just works there and isn't a big part of her character. While Guy is all about going to diners and restaurants that serve diner like foods.
  • Chi for Cute Kitten: She's a cute stray kitten taken in by a family with a young child and the focus is based on her new family and neighbors. This is what she looks like.
    https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chi2.jpg
  • Melone for Does This Remind You of Anything?: While I first suggested for Lecherous Licking, I think that Does This Remind You of Anything? might be better due to how Baby Face work; which involves "impregnating" a woman with an embryo of to make an homunculus (not via a sexual way, but more like a parasitic wasp). What happens is basically like making a Child by Rape, but without any penitration. (sorry if this was uncomfortable).

[up] Remember to limit yourself to three suggestions per page. Pretty sure you got approved for Epic Meal Time already, and I [tup] the Tokyo Mew Mews.

[up][up] Maybe I wasn't clear enough, but I approved that since I have Red Right Hand reserved for someone else:

  • Dr. Julius No, God of Villains with Physical Defects (Dr. No) (Epsilon)
    • Potential House: Villainous Appearances
    • Reasoning: So many Bond villains have a Red Right Hand of their own that this trope is a staple of the franchise, though not as much as some others. The OG Bond Villain, Dr. Julius No has mechanical hands stemming from a punishment for embezzling from his superiors, the Tongs or one of his own experiments. In fact, this defect ends up killing him as his hands are strong at destroying and precise, but stiff and clumsy and gripping, which leads him to die when he is unable to climb out of his pool of boiling reactor coolant.

Mattman - I'd be a Hypocrite if I ignored you so...

Nowe can be enemies with various other villainous dragons, namely Tiamat and Fatalis, the former being the leader of the evil dragons in D&D and the latter being a misanthrope. He could be friends with Tyrion and Teclis as the High Elves of Ulthuan are known to tame dragons as mounts.

Metallia can have some kind of interaction with witches like Akko Kagari, Schierke and The Wicked Witch of the West.

Not too sure what to make of Enya. I'd like to see the consensus of other users before I make a move.

@Grimgor: I don't think he'd be able to even come close to taking over the Pantheon in a matter of hours; there are far too many armies (standard and one-person variants) for them to do that. Maybe get almost everybody preoccupied with them, but that's it.

With Iris (SCP-105) en route (holy moly, I didn't expect the Alpha-9 arc to have so darn much content I'll have to edit her ascension lore), here's another SCP I have in mind. Triple Moons already has that satellite in here.

  • SCP-3922-As, Holy Army of Righting Wrongs They Perceive In Canon Events
    • Reasoning: Any video played in the vicinity of SCP-3922 is altered so that justice is delivered to the crooks via SCP-3922-As (though some "good" guys sometimes get arrested, too, and there are times where they've actually failed). That said, I wrote the title that way because they only right what they perceive is wrong, and that's what Fix Fics ultimately hinge on; perspective. What someone thinks as wrong might not be seen by another as wrong, and someone's Fix Fic might lead another to write a different Fix Fic of their own, so there you go. That said, it's not a perfect example, and there are times they have failed, but there are almost literally no better examples.

  • Symbol: An effigy of Gork or Mork
  • Theme Song: His theme from Total War: Warhammer
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Blood Knight, Ax-Crazy, The Berserker, Arch-Enemy (To the Dwarves and Archaon), The Most Feared of the Warbosses, Genius Bruiser, Large and in Charge, once found out that Victory Is Boring, World’s Strongest Orc, Inexplicably Awesome, Asskicking Equals Authority, Screaming Warrior, Believes in Leadership through Strength, One-Man Army, Alien Sense of views towards Other Races, Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor
  • Domains: Orcs, Fighting, Speech, Conquest
  • Heralds: The WAAAGH-mongas of Greenskins (Gorbad Ironclaw, Gorfang Rotgut, Azhag the Slaughterer, Wurrzag da Great Green Prophet, Grom the Paunch, Snagla Grobspit, Gittlla da Hunter)
  • Followers: Any other Orcs he can find and get to work with him
  • Allies: Warboss Ghazghkull, Sauron
  • Ambiguous Relationship: Skarsnik
  • Confused by: Waluigi, Thrall, Rexxar
  • Enemies: All other Warhammer deities, but especially Emperor Karl Franz, High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer, Archaon the Everchosen, and Malekith the Witch King, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli
  • No one knows how or when Grimgor Ironhide came to be. But what is known is that Grimgor set out to work making the largest WAAAAGH he could, enlisting or subjugating every Orc he came across. His army, lead by him and his personal regime of Black Orcs called Da Immortulz, would win many battles and destroy many settlements in a brutal campaign. Eventually, during Archaon’s invasion, Grimgor would duel with the Everchosen. The Orc very nearly won, but Archaon, in desperation, would summon a mighty daemon which ended Grimgor’s life and forced his army to disband.
  • The Pantheon was very peaceful one day until deities heard a huge series of footfalls approaching. Before long, hordes upon hordes of Greenskins, lead by the most famous of their kind, would invade the Pantheon in one of the greatest WAAAAGHs their race had ever performed. Grimgor, flanked by Da Immortulz, picked out anyone he perceived to be a good fight and battled them in duels while his Orcs laid waste to any temples they could find. Grimgor’s plans went quite well for the first few weeks, but soon the mighty Black Orc came across trouble as the various deities of the Old and New Worlds put aside their differences to fight Grimgor’s army. In a battle that lasted an entire month, the Orcs were finally defeated, but during that time, a cunning goblin had written papers adding Grimgor and his closest generals to the Pantheon under Funetik Aksent due to the way the Orcs speak and passed them under everyone’s noses. Thus, the deities in the Pantheon were left with no choice but to ascend Grimgor, who gloated that he had "fooled every'un".
  • The other races of the Warhammer universe all hate Grimgor and his barbaric ways, and thus usually are the first to challenge him when he tries to go on another WAAAAGH. Some of his most frequent opponents are as follows:
    • Emperor Franz and the Empire have long been assaulted by Orcs, including most famously by Gorbad Ironclaw, one of Grimgor’s heralds, who very nearly destroyed their capital of Altdorf had it not been for a series of stupid decisions by his Orcs.
    • High King Thorgrim is another foe for the Orcs. His Dwarves have written many grudges in their book due to the Orcs constantly attacking their holds, and Thorgrim is willing to battle the Orcs as many times as it requires to settle them all.
    • But perhaps the two biggest targets Grimgor has his eyes set upon are Archaon and Malekith. Though he briefly worked with the two, Archaon, as mentioned, was the one who managed to kill him (but just barely), while Malekith was the one who advised Archaon to attack his army in a plan to kill two birds with one stone. Grimgor seeks to get back at both for this scheme.
  • The scale of Grimgor’s initial invasion impressed Warboss Ghazghkull, under whom Grimgor had been serving as a Follower until making his move. Ghazghkull quickly began allying himself with Grimgor, placing his Orks to guard his temple of Black Crag and to assist him during any WAAAAGHs he might attempt. For the most part, Grimgor believes that though Ghazghkull has superior tech, he is just another WAAAAGH-monga, albeit a more valuable one.
  • Grimgor was surprised to see that Skarsnik had managed to ascend before he and the other Orcs could and set up a temple. While Grimgor treats the rest of his WAAAAGH-mongas as close henchmen, he has a complicated relationship with Skarsnik due to him being a Goblin. That being said, Skarsnik is quick to assist Grimgor during any of his invasions, as nothing gets Orcs together like a good WAAAAGH.
  • One day, Grimgor came across Waluigi practicing saying "WAAAAAH". Grimgor became agitated, saying, "Yoo ain’t doin’ it right, ya git!" and began showing him how to say "WAAAAGH". An all out shouting match on how the two perceived their words to be broke out, until, eventually, Grimgor became bored of arguing with Waluigi and left. As for his options on further WAAAAGHs towards Waluigi, Grimgor views him as not threatening to his armies at all, just calling him a "pointy eared humie".
  • Hearing of other Orcs in the Pantheon made Rexxar and Thrall decide to try to speak with Grimgor. However, all Grimgor cares about is fighting and conquering. Thus, when the two tried to bring up non-violent solutions to his problems, he had some Squigs chase them out of Black Crag, telling them that they "ain’t orky enuff". Grimgor is still baffled that these Orcs and their followers don’t want to go on WAAAAAGHs, believing that no Orc has an ounce of good in his heart.
  • During one instance where Grimgor and Da Immortulz were out looking for a fight, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli began to attack them, recognizing Grimgor and his Orcs to be no better than the Uruk-Hai of Sauron’s army. However, Grimgor was a much tougher foe than your average Uruk, and thus fended them off, telling them, "Don’t come back, ya humie, stunty, n’ pointy eared gits!"
    • From them, Grimgor also learned of the presence of Sauron, who not only was on good terms with Ghazghkull, but also had Orcs as his underlings. Grimgor approached Sauron shortly thereafter, and though he was at first put off by his close resemblance to Malekith (including having an underling named the Witch-King), he soon got over it and vowed to help Sauron in exchange for more fighting and loot. His Orcs also became comrades to the Uruk-Hai, believing them to be just as bloodthirsty and powerful as "da bestest big ‘uns".

@CrimsonShark Okay, thank you for your suggestions. I'll return the favor by giving a suggestion for Toppo. In the anime, he had a black-and-white view of morality, so I would add a relationship with characters who have Black-and-White Insanity, such as Seryu and Shinn Asuka.

@r-lock256 Maybe, but doesn't Aoi Asahina represent Donuts in the Pantheon?

@RJ-19-CLOVIS-93 For Ammit, I would add Malty Melromarc to the list of people who fear her, considering her soul was fed to Soul Eaters upon her execution in the Web Novel.

@Mattman: When I first joined, both Aoi and Stocking had profiles, and from what I understand, Stocking's love of sweets is a much more apparent part of her character. Aoi could use a rework and a new trope by someone willing to do it (though it can be argued that Stocking's profile could be improved as well).

@nightelf: When you say it's not a perfect example even though there are no better examples,(and yet there's examples out there) it sounds like you weren't searching hard enough. Especially considering when we get to the argument of franchise representation and the fact that we're getting close to 50 profiles (45 heading to 46 to be prescise) from SCP in general, which is a lot.

@ r-lock: Being able to Ret-Gone things was one of the abilities The Vex were researching in their facilities, a byproduct in their grand plan to assure their continued existence as a universal law in reality. Thankfully, such powers are limited within their megastructures but that does little to impede the Vex on their progress. They've been beaten back time and time again by their enemies, but they're still going strong.

@ Aj: In Kilian Experience's retelling of Warhammer Fantasy lore, Melvin the Everchosen (who replaced Archaon after dying of constipation) enlisted Grimgor Ironhide's help to take out the Dwarves through a polite letter. And by help he means basically do all the work while Melvin and his forces give moral support because the mountains were too cold. To celebrate their victory he gave the Greenskins some Rosé wine but giving Liquid Courage to the Goblins ended up inciting a class-war. They were one of the final domino in Melvin inadvertently ushering in the End Times, dragging even the Chaos Gods into disorganization.

[up][up] No. It sounds to me like r-lock is suggesting that since Aoi is the goddess of a sweet food (Donuts) and Stocking already has Sweet Tooth, then Aoi should be reworked with a different trope.

I don't necessarily agree with that. I don't know if Chip is automatically the best deity to give Chocolate to, but if we change Aoi's trope for that reason, do we then need to do the same for, say, Cookie Monster, too? Do all the other characters who have tropeless food titles need to be altered or removed simply because someone already has Trademark Favorite Food? I don't know about that...

[down] And that would be a valid reason to rework/get rid of him, but for this reason? I don't think I'm convinced.

Update on Dr. Zalost. What about people living in ominous towers or any relation to rats? (Since his assistant is a rat)

  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral with shades of Neutral Evil. True Neutral leaning towards Neutral Good after his change of heart
  • Portfolio: Tragic Villain, Initially Green-Skinned, Evil Sounds Deep, Gloomy and Depressed which makes him want to make everyone feel as he does, Lean and Mean, Mad Scientist, Meaningful Name, Sore Loser, Becomes a better person after eating Muriel's Happy Plums

  • Allies: Courage, Muriel Bagge, Eustace Bagge, Sadness, The Doki Doki Literature Club, Simon Henriksson, Eeyore, Hikari
  • Rivals: Dr. Evil
  • Enemies: Dementors, Ratigan
  • Depression is often a condition that can plague basically anyone in the world and such fate fell upon the tragic figure of Dr. Zalost. A brilliant scientist who one day came to Nowhere and demanded huge amounts of money to fund his unhappy cannonballs project. He attacked the town after being negated his money and being mocked, causing everyone to be as unhappy and as miserable as he was, but even if he got what he wanted he was still not happy. That's when he came accross Courage and the Bagges, who Zalost decided to target after realizing there were people that he missed. After hitting Muriel, Courage embarked in a quest to save her and in doing so brought down Zalost's Tower and the Doctor was not happy with that. However, after eating Muriel's Happy Plums, Zalost became a more cheerier person and realized the errors of his way. That's why much later he ended up atoning for what he did and later awarded godhood thanks to a recommendation by his new friend Courage.
  • The reason for his arrival? The forebonding and sad music that encompasses his present, hinting at Zalost truly sad existance. His title isn't really representative of what he became after losing his tower to Courage and would rather not be near a place as dreary as the side of the House of Emotion he was put in and so prefers to stay in the House of Music instead.
  • As stated before, Zalost is a reformed person and a good friend of Courage, often visiting him and Muriel to have himself a doze of those happy plums. He also brought along Rat, who was turned into a baby after eating a happy plum and Zalost has tried his best to raise him right after mistreating him a lot, often giving Rat lots and lost of hugs.
  • Zalost means sorrow in slavic languages and the good doctor has tried his best to combat his constant sadness and depression even if he was misguided in his attempts. He also ended up making friends with several people who too suffered with depression one way or another although they wouldn't go as far as to harm others because of that like Zalost did. He is often seen with unlikely people you would find someone of his archetype, like that one time he joined the Doki Doki Literature Club because he thought doing poetry would be fun and he find a lot of common ground with Sayori and believe it or not, relating a lot to Monika for their shared roles as Tragic Villains who regret their actions.

[up] Rapunzel was locked away in a tower for much of her life.

While the House of Rabbits and Rodents has plenty of rat/mouse related deities, there's plenty outside the house too, as The Pantheonic Bestiary shows. I think he'll be interested in Pinky and Brain. Probably wouldn't like the Pied Piper as he lures rats with his music.

@r-lock: So I should find a fanfic OC that is responsible for a lot of fixing in someone's fanfics of a certain series? Is that ultimately a better pick for Fix Fic since the trope pertains to fanficition?

[up] That, or finding an author who made a prominent Fix Fic. For example, Hiroshi Hiroyama of Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA, who made the manga as a Fix Fic slash Deconstructive Parody of the original FSN and Magical Girls as a whole.

[up][up] It's not so much of finding the right candidate for Fix Fic, as it is that R-lock finds it irking that (A) you haven't seen the problem of franchise over-representation as troubling yet and (B) you keep finding tropes to fill even though they don't have to be represented by a character all the time. These are real problems here.

Please hold back your SCP suggestion for the time being; we are evaluating which SCP deities to keep and which ones to delete and it's best that no fresh new suggestions are made while we're in this state.

@r-lock: Would like to say that I didn't answer nightelf's Fix Fic suggestion precisely because I feel that there's better fish in the sea than that. I rest my case. Other people can easily give better stern responses than me. But if my unresponsiveness makes me look lenient, then see below.

Adding to Muundeis' point, we're pruning down suggestions also because many of the earlier profiles are poor in quality, and those are the more iconic SCPs. If we build more on top of a terrible foundation, there's really no point in any of that. I didn't answer your SCP suggestion because other people who are more stern than me can do so, but [tdown] for that until we can work something out.
