Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    open/close all folders

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • Gods can't be followers or high priests for obvious reasons.
  • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
  • No hype profiles, please.
    • So you ask, what exactly is 'hype profile'? It is a profile based on ongoing events that hasn't been around very long, but generates a lot of hype, possibly because of elements such as Wham Episode or Memetic Mutation or Large Ham or overall 'OMGAWESOME!!!' They're all not bad tropes, but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time). You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but don't make the profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
  • DO. NOT. put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, don't do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, do yourself a favor and delete it from that main page. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good & Evil Colors.
  • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
    • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
    • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
    • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
    • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to the Treasures or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Treasures or Dominions.
  • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
  • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
  • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you're only given three chances on such. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
  • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what's currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction.
  • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
  • Don't repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes haven't been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • Please use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, or something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted.
  • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this god has spots in other houses as well.
  • When writing facts/trivia about gods, try not to contradict what has already been written elsewhere.
  • When writing down the name of a Theme Song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name.
  • When adding an image for your God, make sure that it is not too big unless you wish to write more about the god you have chosen.
  • If you feel the need to remove a god for some reason and replace him/her with another, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. If you're lucky (and they're from the same franchise), maybe both of them can share the title "Gods of (Insert Trope Here)".
  • Certain tropes can have more than one God. It is not advisable, but it is not forbidden. Just ensure that this second God will bring in new flavor of the trope. If you have doubts on how to bring the other flavors, consult the Trope Pantheon Discussion forum. Case in point: In the original Greek Mythology (and later Roman Mythology), both Ares/Mars and Athena/Minerva share the title of 'God/Goddess of War', and even then, they differ in flavor: Ares is about brutal warfare, Athena is about war strategies and finesse, while Mars took up some of Athena's elements that he kinda differs out than Ares. If the original myth can do this, why the hell not for the Pantheon?
  • Be creative! If you need some time to work out your potential deity's profile, use the Pending Gods or Pending Gods 2 page to get help. Incomplete and/or low-quality entries are more likely to get deleted or replaced.
  • When writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. See also the Rules section. Especially the 1st bullet point.
  • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name.
  • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it's well advised not to abuse them. Aside from introducing too many niche concepts, there are still chances for new tropes related to your chosen deity's title to be launched through YKTTW...
    • Additionally however, the only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. IE: Their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they're closely associated with In-Universe, or both (example: Gangplank and his oranges).
  • Maximum number of tropes what a god should have is three, but don't try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused.
  • Some series will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps, as well. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it's because they're a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they're connected to another deity in their respective canon.
  • As far as deities from actual mythologies (Greco-Roman, Norse, Japanese, etc.) are concerned, try not to replicate the default myths about their characters and use a fictional counterpart instead. In other words, if you want to use the Greek/Roman god Ares/Mars, you can't add him as the "God of War", but you can use him as part of another trope as long as it's a different version of him. For example:
    • Zeus, while having elements of his persona from Classical Mythology, draws more from his portrayal in the God of War Series.
    • Thor and Loki's Pantheon portrayals are influenced heavily by their appearances in their Marvel Comics series.
    • Amaterasu is a woman in her Japanese mythology portrayal, but her Pantheon counterpart is the dog goddess from Ōkami.
  • Don't depend too much on the hype/meme train, don't just jump onto that train willy-nilly in order to put on some events or entry in the Pantheon. It might not last very long or represent the trope best. This is Trope Pantheons, not Trope Hype Train!
  • Unless the character proposed is specifically from the Abridged version, the character should represent the tropes in their canon selves. If they also happen to possess the trait of the Abridged self, good! But otherwise, get the abridged stuff onto just the flavor texts.
  • To prevent any surprising need to rework profiles due to new development, please restrain from ascending gods from a series before the thing is either released or for longer-running series, there is a good enough of a break from story. This also applies to already existing series if there is a new thing coming out.
  • Please be sure to ask in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you don't waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
    • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else.
  • It is much more recommended to word the title like "God of X" instead of "The God that Xs". This will give off the vibe the God actually ruled over that trope instead of just 'did X', giving more credentials to how it's the best example of the trope.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power.
    • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
    • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
    • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
    • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
    • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
    • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Deity Template
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Potential House:
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity. This doesn't always have to be a representation of power, but it can also represent influence in the Pantheon.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Song that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician, this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D.
  • Gender: For Pokémon deities only. Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
  • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
  • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies.
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes.
  • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that have various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.) other than allies, rivals, or enemies.
  • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Pokémon.
  • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
  • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or find pitiable.
  • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by, regardless of alignment.
  • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.

Maudalina Daisy "Maud" Pie, The Comically Serious Goddess

Click here to see her with her cutie mark exposed
  • Returning To: Character Roles
  • [tup]s:
  • Rework Done on:
  • Lesser Goddess (with chances of going higher if Pinkie Pie is in danger)
  • Symbol: Her cutie mark, a diamond-shaped rock
  • Theme Song: Quite the reverse. It is an absence of any music that heralds her.
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (True Neutral for those who don't know her)
  • Portfolio: those that don't show lots of emotion (actually likely a case of being unable to show them rather than not feeling them), those protective of their younger siblings, incredible feats of strength like jackhammer-speed punching, barely fazed by anything, honest but being blunt about it, having sweet smiles at the right moments, cold and sweet personalities, knowing a lot about rocks and having a rocktorate, can turn up anywhere just like Pinkie
  • Domains: Stoicism, Rocks, Strength
  • Herald: Her pet rock, Boulder and her boyfriend, Mudbriar
  • Allies:
  • Enemies: All who would hurt her sister, and therefore all enemies of Pinkie
  • Former Enemy: Mitsuzane Kureshima
  • Maud meandered along with an invitation in hoof, crossing the Janus Checkpoints with the proper documents, and being waived through by the Inspector. When she arrived at her destination, she looked at the rocks around her and slowly blinked her eyes as Haruhi announced she would be in the House of Narrative (she would eventually move to the new House of Characterization along with several other deities, but that was much later). Pinkie Pie personally appeared in the temple with a party and a myriad of rock candy necklaces. Maud… smiled.
  • As for who she is, Maud is the eldest sister in the Pie Family, the same family Pinkie is from. On the surface, she's an extremely stoic mare, and has a thing for rocks (and minerals and plate tectonics), down to studying them to the point where she's getting a "rocktorate". Beneath that however, she cherishes her sister a lot, can write poems, can skate, and can reduce rocks to rubble with her bare hooves.
    • Speaking of poems, she sometimes goes to the House of Theater to perform there. Beware, though: She has 1,000 poems—and they're all about rocks. She's also trying to get into stand-up comedy.
    • When Christmas rolls around, Maud can be found in the House of Music reciting Hearth's Warming carols. Her singing voice is no different from poetry reading voice… which is no different from her speaking voice. Also, her carols are all about rocks.
    • She's also been seen ice-skating at rinks or frozen lakes whenever she finds time or feels like skating, usually at the House of Nature.
  • Trollkaiger, after having annoyance with many gods in this house that they can't troll, wanted to rile her up by trolling Pinkie. Next thing they knew, Maud was hurling rocks at their temples. Rocks the size of monster trucks.
  • Not even a few hours into trying to get some silence, "Project: Alternate Gentaro" emerged. While Maud didn't show any reaction to it (she states that she doesn't show enthusiasm or shock like her sister does), when Pinkie told her that she was planning an assault on the Asylum (explaining that Gentaro was one of Pinkie's closest friends), Maud narrowed her eyes and prepared a myriad of rocks. She's going to be there for her sister, and no one will stop her.
    • And when Maud learned just who broke the straw on the camel's back for Gentaro, she knocked on Mitsuzane's door and hurled a rock to his face all while saying in her deadpan tone, "You deserve it." After Mitsuzane redeemed himself, Maud personally went to his temple and hugged him, stating, "You deserve it." Mitsuzane was also given a rock candy necklace with the candies shaped like grapes as a token of friendship.
  • People find it really hard to lie to her, whether by emotional pressure or her being able to see through it.
  • Sometimes hangs out in the House of Nature, mostly to collect the different types of rocks that can be found. She has encountered Toph (as best as she can since Toph is blind), and is amazed at Toph's Earthbending abilities, hoping that one day she will be capable of doing something as grand like that.
  • Just like Pinkie has her Pinkie Sense, Maud has her own Maud Sense. So far, she's only used it to track down the stallion Pinkie traded her party cannon to once. In the Pantheon, this has become the ability to track folks who have made transactions with her or friends of hers.
  • Was once asked to babysit some of the child gods. She entertained them by making them play "Camoflage" with her pet rock. "It's like hide-and-seek but WAY more intense." Unfortunately, the gods got a little enthusiastic finding her pet rock that they nearly destroyed the House of Family until Maud relented and revealed where her pet rock was. "He was hiding in my pocket."
  • Sometimes visits Brock's temple in the House of Love because she's interested in him training Rock-type Pokémon. She's hoping to befriend other Rock-type Pokémon and fight with them.
    • Such examples include Tyranitar, Rampardos, and Regirock, and they reciprocate her like for them due to their impression on the earth pony's immense strength.
  • After the debacle of the Friendship Asylum, Maud finally got to meet up with Pinkie Pie's friends of Gentaro Kisaragi and Elena. She notes that that it was nice for Pinkie Pie to have more friends in the Pantheon and also honestly stated that Gentaro and Elena should get together. As the two gods blushed at the comment, Maud smiled to herself.
  • To the shock of most of Equestria's denizens, she was the cause for Starlight Glimmer's "Our Town" incident, meaning she would've inadvertently led Starlight to bring Equestria into a Bad Future all because she told the unicorn of a rock that could seal Cutie Mark Magic away. Pinkie has made her sister "Pinkie Promise" to never bring up the incident again. Maud's response:
Maud: It's not like she's been enslaving anyone… for a while at least.
    • Speaking of rocks, she states that if one found the right rock to seal magic, they could rule all of the Pantheon. Many gods think she's joking. All she asks, in her stoic tone, is "Am I?"
  • After an investigation in the House of Nature, she has now asked that her discovery, a beautiful cave filled with lush wildlife and a pool of sparkling water, become her new temple. It was also when it was being constructed that she explained that her love of rocks came because "They don't judge you for being… different."
  • Due to the way they speak in their stoic tone, has made an ally with Ichiro, namely acting like The Comically Serious version of Statler and Waldorf.
  • Got a boyfriend named Mudbriar. Many gods are wondering What Does She See in Him? (including her sister), but they do note that Maud seems much happier whenever they are together. Pinkie, for her part, is doing her best to tolerate Mudbriar.
  • Despite having a sister who throws parties, Maud actually dislikes birthday parties and only tolerates them because of her love for Pinkie.

[up][tup] for the first two, but some people may be sticklers for reasoning so maybe add one for NYC anyway. Regardless, I'm interested in adopting NYC.

[down][down] We have a couple of IRL places as Dominions like Walt Disney World Resort and Roswell New Mexico. And considering NYC is to a certain extent where everything happens (i.e. superheroes, alien invasions, King Kong) why not just have it be an amalgamation?

  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Light Yagami, Manfred Von Karma
  • Enemies: The Straw Hats (especially Franky and Nico Robin), The Phantom Thieves of Heart (mainly Ann Takamaki), Sakura Matou, Olivier Armstrong, Barbar, Ganesha
  • Opposed by: Rem, Senator Steven Armstrong, Abader, much of the House of Justice, Mick Foley, 'Alarak, anyone who believes that Authority Equals Asskicking or Asskicking Equals Authority.
  • Chief of CP9, Spandam is an enforcer of the World Government an ambitious, yet weak man who has had aspirations of world domination. He manipulated the Five Elders to change their policies about Ancient Weapons for himself, however his loftier aspirations haven't gotten anywhere. Though lacking personal strength, he has connections and he's ready to use them.
  • In a world where leadership is often reflected through strength, Spandam stands out like a sore thumb. He's even weaker than the basic foot soldiers he commands, and presumably only holds his position because of his family links to Spandine. Alarak finds this utterly outrageous, as does Senator Armstrong due to how it clashes with his views. Olivier finds him a disgrace to Cipher Pol, with Spandam reminding her of General Raven.
  • His mask was based off Mick Foley's Mankind persona. Giving how loathsome Spandam is, the wrestler was not amused and Spandam fears angering him further since he'd get his ass kicked.
  • The only advantage Spandam has is his Cool Sword Funkfreed, which "ate" the Zou Zou no Mi so it can transform into an elephant. Of course, the weapon's utility is crippled by being used by Spandam. He used to have a pet elephant as a kid. Both the house of Combat! and Weapons find this incompetence laughable, which only pisses him off. Especially when they call him "Spanda".
  • Was interested in using the elephants Barbar and Ganesha for his own purposes. Given what an obnoxious, odious and slimy figure Spandam is, they want nothing from him. Mammoth Mogul regards Spandam at best as a tool to quickly use and discard, and usually nothing but a distraction not worth his time.
  • At first one can mistake Spandam for an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain, but given that he brutally abuses his prisoners, is a slimy coward and has a very disproportionate ego the "sympathetic" part flies out of the window. Of many who hate him, the Phantom Thieves of Heart come to mind given he is the slimy bootlicker and agent of a nefarious government they target for Heel–Face Brainwashing. Particularly Ann Takamaki, as she survived abuse from Suguru Kamoshida and Spandam's abuse of Nico Robin was particularly disgusting to her.
  • Most villains don't like him, be it they have standards or they hate his cowardice and incompetency. Mainly social darwinist villians like En Sabah Nur or Esdeath find him utterly worthless.
  • Because of how much of an inept Jerkass Spandam is, he tends to work best with those as loathsome as himself. Spandam's as cowardly, egotistical and inept as Djibril so he is a superior Spandam can get behind. He has also pledged alliance to Prime Minister Honest and Walder Frey. This has only further magnified everyone's hatred of them, but it's not like they have the personality to improve their reputation anyway.
  • While Babidi is a far worse boss than him, the two get along rather well due to the many, many character flaws they share and both being far weaker than even the weakest they order around. Spandam found himself relating to Shinji Matou as well. While Spandam's abuse wasn't ever sexual, he's just barely less disgusting to Sakura Matou as Shinji is. Spandam gets along with Raditz for their villainous cowardice, though less so as more of his family and the Saiyan race has ascended.
  • Though not intentionally malicious, Zapp Brannigan gets along with Spandam. It boils down to how both are failures as generals, yet inexplicably have a high position of leadership. Mr Burns was initially dismissive, given he's a corporate overlord and not in the political or military field, but as they're both a case of "Weak Boss Strong Underlings" and Mr Burns is speculating financial benefit with the World Government, they have come to work with one another. And yet despite everything, Mr Burns and Zapp are still more likable than Spandam.
  • A believer in absolute justice conveyed by Sakuzaki, though at the end of the day he is more concerned with his personal goal, ultimately wanting to be the one in charge of the World Government and biding his time for a day that will never happen. He's interested in the GUAL's potential for him, and how Asmodeus and Thief are able to exploit the law to their benefit.
  • Has decided to worm up to Manfred Von Karma and Light Yagami, in order to exploit their vision of justice for his own. Manfred finds him to be a hanger on, and Kira sees him as nothing but a pawn to use and dispose when his time comes. As far as Rem is concerned, bad as Kira is she'd still prefer him having his Death Note over Spandam getting it.

  • Charlotte Linlin, better known as Big Mom, is one of the Four Emperors, the most notorious and feared pirate leaders in the world. Head of the Big Mom pirates, her base of operations is on Whole Cake Island and she serves as queen of Totto Land. On face value it's a borderline Sugar Bowl with focus on sweets, desserts and other bright things. However behind the Sweet Tooth queen is an unstable and very powerful woman with near total control over her domain.
  • Since she was 18 Big Mom has been taking a husband from different locations, having children and dumping them to marry a new husband. She's had 43 before stopping at age 60. Keep in mind that she mainly kidnaps her husbands and they don't have much say in the matter, which does not go over well with the House of Love. Nor does the fact she keeps trying to marry her offspring to others in the pantheon, mainly in the House of Otherness due to her propensity for Interspecies Romance and half-human hybrids.
  • While she Really Gets Around, she and Queen Medb don't care much for each other. She has had dozens of husbands, but Charlotte did so as a power play and not out of lust. Medb finds Big Mom to be really unstable and best ignored.
  • As much as it's possible for him, Walder Frey had an oddly cordial relationship with Big Mom. Both are big fans of marrying as many times as they can, resulting in a very large family(though he simply outlives his wives). The two have been plotting marriage ceremonies for one another to boost their political power in a mutual alliance. Prince Hans has wanted in it, and Big Mom thinks helping him will help herself. Just so long as he doesn't marry any of her children. Of course, Hans already knows not to mess with Linlin and won't try to screw her over.
  • Glenn Quagmire once considered sleeping with her because he looked at old pictures of her and thought she was good at sex given how many husbands she was. Too late did he see how she looks nowadays and tried to escape Totto Island as fast as he could. Big Mom called him a hypocrite given he's a Kavorka Man, but most agree that even outside of her personality she is far uglier than Quagmire.
  • Might be the only real ally of the Queen of Hearts. A lot of this has to do with how she takes a lot after her; fat, selfish, easy to anger and living in a Wonderland-like domain, along with Decapitation Presentation and general Bright Is Not Good nature. The two bonded over sweets, their attitude and general personality. Alice has found Big Mom far scarier than the Queen of Hearts, which is quite justified.
  • Why does Big Mom have so many children? She dreams of a utopia where all races live peacefully side by side. An egalitarian goal, but it's corrupted by insanity and food cravings. Also, she has ruthless control over her citizens, uses a sharp tax through taking lifespans and is a general Control Freak. Which is why she has sided with the GUAL, appreciating Yaldabaoth's societal control and YHVH's egalitarian features met with The Evils of Free Will. However she's Neutral Evil instead Lawful because she's nuts and her chaotic personality can get in the way of the GUAL's hopes.
  • She has a competing vision with Light Yagami. Both have their own vision of utopia, a world without conflict which they control. And both visions are crippled by a character flaw-Kira wanting to be god more than his utopia, Linlin being homicidally insane and delusional. And since they want to be the one in control, they are in competition to create this "perfect world". Due to how the Soru Soru no Mi can affect lifespans, it's unknown how this might be seen with anyone who has Shinigami eyes.
  • Her Devil Fruit, the Soru Soru no Mi or Soul-Soul Fruit lets her freely interact and manipulate souls. With this, she can extract soul fragments so long as her targets are afraid, and give inanimate objects life. The Father of the Homunculi was impressed by the usage of this Devil Fruit, and how she was able to create strong homies from mere pieces of her soul. He can only imagine what could be done if someone like him with the souls of thousands had the Devil Fruit. This concerns Big Mom greatly since he is actually a challenge for her, and Father may have realized just how she got her Devil Fruit from Mother Carmel; unknowing cannibalism.
  • Having already split his soul several times for immortality, Lord Voldemort wants the Soru Soru no Mi for himself as it would allow his horcruxes to take a life of their own and be far more powerful, while also being confident they'd stay loyal to him since Prometheus and Napoleon have to Big Mom. Marceline, who's become as powerful as she has in part by absorbing the souls of the last remaining vampires, finds her use of the Soru Soru no Mi to be repulsive and in general Big Mom to be insane]]. It remains to be seen how any life extraction would work if Big Mom was able to do so to her, considering as a vampire her lifespan is potentially infinite and even without it she managed to live a thousand years in an Alternate Timeline where she never became a vampire(albeit as a very old woman).
  • Has over eighty children, and is in no way a good mother to them. She has a bad habit of enabling their negative traits like her adoptive mother did to her, yanked forty years out of her son Moscato for getting in her way and tried to kill her 23rd daughter for ruining a marriage arrangement. Most in the House of Mothers dislike her for her insanity and abuse. However even Big Mom considers Ragyo Kiryuin a vile mother for her sexual abuse.
  • Do not do the following around her: try to leave Totto Land, betray her, ask questions about her picture of Mother Carmel, point out she doesn't have a certain race in her "collection", and especially don't get in the way of her sweets and tea time. Her rampages and rages about food are why the House of Meals doesn't want her stepping foot, and why she has Kirby on her hit list. Princess Bubblegum dreads the idea of Big Mom visiting the Candy Kingdom lest she rampage and eat her citizens, and being a general deranged queen.
  • Had amnesia for a time, and proved a much more generous and stable person. Sadly the attempt to keep her compassionate failed and she reverted to normal. The Phantom Thieves of Heart want to change her heart and restore her to that nicer state. At the same time, they understand she isn't naturally evil like many of their targets, but twisted and enabled by poor parental figures, the likes they are all too familiar with.

Since nobody’s going to the story page, I’m just going to tell what I’ve been writing while I take a break from profiles.

It’s a story called the Fusion Odyssey, where Nagito Komaeda, Madoka Kaname, and Darth Maul are transported onto Planet Fuse and must fight their way out to escape the place. They’ll have to go up against Fusion versions of Pantheon deities and have to work together since they only have one life wherever they ended up.

I always wanted Fuse to have more relevance since I made him. Considering his game is defunct now, I have free reign to write how Fuse and his Fusions are. It took me in the middle of writing to finally know what direction I wanted the story to go to.

I’m going to separate into various parts. The first part is a summary of the Planet Fusion invasion of the Pantheon through Nagito’s perspective and then shows how he got transported onto the planet. The second and third would be about the trio’s escape from the planet, learning to work together and so on. Three parts at the very least.

I’m busy writing the first part still as of now and it’s been a really rough, rough draft. Hope people here could help me once I’ve finished said first part. It’s around thirteen pages long as of now I believe, which I’m not sure is short or long by Pantheon story standards.

Also, this was all so I could rework Nagito’s profile. Go fight me.

[up][up][up][up] Now that the Rider Taisen s bought up, I'll have to figure how I'll have to have the Pantheonic Lantern Corps distinguish itself from it.

I'm gonna be honest, but M1gami has a point about the Story Forums being neglected. Might as well post my Vlad Spotlight here...

Spotlight - Remedy for Blood

  • As Vlad spends his time in the Pantheon learning to adapt and settle in a world far different from the Old World and Sylvania, he hears word about the rampage and legends of the "Extinction Dragon" Nergigante. Reminded by the story of Blood Knight Abhorash, Vlad feels as if the Elder Dragon's blood could eliminate his own bloodlust and enable him to better his relationship with establishing Alliances without becoming overcome by the need to kill. Seeing this as a great opportunity to improve himself and enroll in a tough challenge, Vlad sets off with a few allies to track down and kill Nergigante, hoping that the Elder Dragon's blood will cure Vlad's bloodlust.

I don’t think my story would be much important in the grand scheme of things. But does the Friendship Asylum really impact the Pantheon or the time the GUAL got a coup? I don’t see an evil Gentaro running around or YHVH still diminished in power, so no, it doesn’t. All I could really say is this story shows what the hell is Fuse amassing while everybody is doing nothing.

I don’t think Pantheon stories should be grand, story-changing and whatnot. I think there should be a certain level of Status Quo Is God to the Pantheon. We can change things up every now and again but you know how everybody feels about the Great Upheaval.

Plus, I’m using Madoka to show she can still do stuff despite losing her powers. I don’t like how people now ignore Madoka and keep mentioning her “can’t do much without Overdeity powers”, which is just ridiculous. I was playing Danganronpa 2 and is using Nagito because he is a literal Hope Terrorist and Darth Maul because the idea came to my head for the strongest person that’s interactable enough to be interesting.
