Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

[up] I was literally asking earlier for a good photo of explicitly 501st stormtroopers earlier because:

1) Too many 501st fan club photos

2) 99% had Vader.

3) The old one looks drab.

I asked. This is a placeholder. Does someone have a decent image?

Also I plan to create this:

GUAE Defense Fleet (working title): The GUAE's space fleet, working under a codename, has Interservice Rivalry with the GUAE Mecha Cohort. Thrawn shall be its leader, a ranking system shall be implemented for neatness, maybe throughout the Conquest Army too? Deities to be moved: Dooku, Frieza, King Cold, Mael Radec, Gihren Zabi, Justice, Arktivus Brevon, Boros.

How would I write the Rosemary part. Though I was watching the Meat Up with Tony Todd and he said if he was involved with the last scene of Rosemary's Baby, he would take a clothehanger and jam in one's eye, taser a guy's nuts at first lunge, and use a champagne and flare gun as a makeshift flamethrower. Then takes the baby and jumps off the window. Talk about Hilarious in Hindsight.

Candyman, God of Urban Legends (Daniel Robitaille, The Writing on the Wall, The Whisper in the Classroom)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/candyman_tony_todd.png
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: The mural of Candyman
  • Theme Song: Candyman Main Theme
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Man turned Urban Legend, Born of Human Belief, Appear by a mirror when his name is spoken five times, Murdered for loving a white woman, Wears a longcoat to conceal his exposed chests covered with bees, Murder with his hook hand and bees, Vengeful Ghost, Scary Black Man (was white in the original book)
  • Domains: Urban Legend, Mirror, Murder, Bees
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Herald: Helen Lyle
  • Allies: Bloody Mary
  • Enemies: Sumaru City Persona Users, Rosemary Woodhouse
  • Pitied by: Luke and Jessica Cage, Jacqui Briggs and Takeda Takahashi, Alana and Marko
  • Candyman was once a man named Daniel Robitaille, a "freedman" and painter who fell in love with a plantation owner's daughter and was murdered by her father and a lynch mob. His death involved the men sawing off his right hand and was stung to death by bees when they smeared him with honey. Now, he became a legend in modern society, with his legend spoken from Cabrini-Green to New Orleans and to Los Angeles.
  • During the dead start of Halloween, the urban legend of Candyman began spreads through the temples with many gods gossiping of his existence. One decided to test the legend for themselves by calling out his name to a mirror five times. Sure enough, Candyman appeared and gutted him and alerted the Pantheon of his existence.
  • Though it is required that his name is called to a mirror five times for him to kill people, it appears that he despises people that tries to deny his existence. Because he is a ghost born of an urban legend, he requires people's belief of his existence to remain in the mortal world. Though that tries to deny his existence are often the one killed or cause collateral damage just to prove his existence, as he did to Helen Lyle.
  • Candyman respects Bloody Mary, another creature born of an urban legend. In fact, Candyman's MO is practically like Bloody Mary since they need someone chanting their name in a mirror a number of times in order to make their attack.
  • He was drawn to Rosemary Woodhouse as a poor victim like Helen. Though he is amused with rumors of the founder of the Church of Satan involved with the movie and alleged with playing the Devil himself.
  • Because of his love for Caroline Sullivan, he often stalks those that easily reminds him of her. It was very convenient that his targets included Helen Lyle, who resembled her lover, and Annie Tarrant and Caroline McKeever, who is actually his descendants.
    • Some people pitied him because his only "crime" was falling in love with a white woman at a time when racism was precedent. Even Candyman shed a tear a bit when he is reminded of his death.
    • Luke Cage, whose marriage with Jessica is meet with disdain, even pities him. "And I thought I had it bad. Sweet Christmas."
  • The Sumaru City Persona Cities dread his existence as he is a killer born of an urban legend, with the widespread belief of him keeping his existence in the Pantheon.
  • Death seems rather interested in Candyman, as an entity that brings death to those that calls his name five times. Death sees all names in his list and knows a mortal known as "William Bludworth" with the connection is their similar appearance.

@Candyman: What would he think of this song? Would it inadvertently propagate his name? Would Deadpool ask if he came from "Bountyland"?

Let's try this again.

Know anyone who would covet these?

The Asterisks

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bdpb_asterisk.png
One such Asterisk
  • Apperance: hexagonal stones that bear the symbol of an asterisk
  • Alignment: Depending on its holder('s party)
  • Portfolio: Job System, Anti-Escape Mechanism, Amazing Technicolor Battlefield
  • Domains: Job Classes, Artifact,
  • Owners: The Heroes of Luxendarc
  • Asterisks are jewel-like objects that were created by the Sage Yulyana in his plot to usurp the Crystal Orthodoxy's authority in "granting vocations".
  • Initially, changing one's job or 'vocation' required a special approval from within the Crystal Orthodoxy. With the asterisks however, the Sage would be able to prevent the institution from growing rich from fat profits known as 'alms'. Sage approached the panicked high officials and the grand patriarch, proposing to them the asterisks, mentioning that "granting vocations should be based on it, as overseen by the Orthodoxy." To that end, those wanting to apply for a 'vocation' would apply to the Orthodoxy and pay a fair price. Those who could pay may apply to change their jobs. The grand patriarch and his officials only sought profit through it, thus they agreed to Sage's proposal.
  • Afterwards, Sage was then appointed by the grand patriarch as the 'overseer' of the new asterisk system. However, since Sage was the only person who possessed the knowledge of creating the asterisks, coupled with the fact that he had changed the previous system of changing jobs towards the asterisk system, he had essentially robbed the Crystal Orthodoxy of their authority to grant vocations. Acknowledging his success in having robbed the Orthodoxy of their influence, he escaped from the position, taking with him the knowledge of creating the asterisks. Since the profits gained from the asterisk system were controlled by Sage who had already sequestered himself within the Yulyana Woods, the Crystal Orthodoxy were thus rendered incapable of gaining any semblance of profit from the asterisk job system.
  • These Asterisks were once held by various officials in the Eternian Empire before being… "relieved" of them by Tiz and company, and a few others were also retrieved from various elites in the Glanz Empire. Due to the risk of these Asterisks getting stolen (and thus bequeathing their powers to those thieves, not to mention anyone else who gets their hands on them), they requested for the Court to place these in the Treasury. As for how they'll be able to change jobs without them, turns out their ascension already grants that, just like how Bartz doesn't need the Crystal fragments from his world to do the same anymore.
  • Aside from offering Job Classes to their holders, these Asterisks can conjure an "asterisk space" that prevents the holders' opponents from escaping. Aside from Sage Yulyana, the creator of these Asterisks, there's no known way of entering it from the outside, either, or what it even looks like from the outside. The only way out is through possessing an Asterisk of your own, or—as stated above—defeating the Asterisk holder(s) (taking their Asterisk is actually optional).
  • There are thirty-five Asterisks in total that have been gathered this far: Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Knight, Thief, Merchant, Spell Fencer, Time Mage, Ranger, Summoner, Valkyrie, Red Mage, Salve-Maker, Performer, Pirate, Ninja, Swordmaster, Arcanist, Spiritmaster, Templar, Dark Knight, Vampire, Conjurer, Wizard, Charioteer, Fencer, Bishop, Astrologist, Catmancer, Hawkeye, Patissier, Exorcist, Guardian, Kaiser, and kai.
    • Due to not being Player Characters in the second game, the powers of the Wizard Asterisk onward are not available to Agnès and Ringabel. Due to not being Player Characters in the first game, the powers of the Spell Fencer, Salve-Maker, Arcanist, Spiritmaster, Vampire, and Conjurer Asterisks are unavailable to Yew and Magnolia. Only Tiz and Edea have the powers of all thirty-five.

  • Punch-Clock Villain to: Chell, anyone who enters their sights
  • While Torbjörn and the Engineer were discussing sentry guns one day, and the topic eventually came to the Sentry Turrets of Aperture Science. Naturally, both had fun ridiculing its design flaws. The next day, a file from Cave Johnson with an attached video was delivered to the Court of the Gods. Turns out he had been listening in on that conversation in secret.
    • It showed the features of his Sentry Turrets, the very ones GLaDOS used in the tests she forced Chell through. After going through the file, they decided to "ascend" them for two titles: Weak Turret Gun for how easy it is to take them out, and Cartridges in Flight, since their firing system actually spring-launches the entire bullet.
    • The day after Cave delivered his file, his proposal to ascend his Sentry Turrets was approved, but there was a certain issue...
    • Given the nature of the trope and the deity, there was some debate on how to bring them up and how to represent them. It was one thing to ascend a squadron of unnamed human soldiers as can be seen in the House of War, but this was what was essentially a consumer product (with battle applications, admittedly) that just happened to never make it to the shipping stage. Eventually, a verdict was reached.
    • And so the Sentry Turrets' two temples (in Robotics & Machinery and Firearms) were essentially turned into Aperture Facilities for manufacturing these things, and then actually shipping them all over the Pantheon. Due to their... "reliability", they come relatively cheap, despite Cave's protests. Shipping is handled both by on-site pick-ups and hired delivery services (though Derpy often gets them jostled, and the Courier either actually delivers on time, or his usual and they actually prove useful for the customer's situation).
    • That said, there's a chance that a Defective Turret might be manufactured instead, but the facilities actually have quality checks to make sure none of those actually get shipped. It's one of the actual competent things Aperture does, though it's done by having a Sentry Turret as a template for its quality checker; swap that with a Defective Turret and you'll get good Turrets being tossed out.
  • Here's an advertisement for the Turrets in case you wish to make a purchase.
  • Aperture Science advises to only use Aperture-brand Resolution Pellets when loading the Sentry. "Incident resolution" is not guaranteed if anything else is loaded. Also make sure the turret is in Non-Judgment Mode before doing so.
  • They don't just come in plain white chassis, one can request for different kinds of designs, like Forest Camo, Desert Camo, Wood (Table), Brick (Evening At The Improv), an orange-and-white design (What Idiot Picked This?), and more. And there's always the option to paint it afterwards.
  • As for why Turrets are able to sing, it's meant for soothing any babies it's protecting back to sleep after shooting any house intruders.
  • Due to how the Turrets fire their bullets, they're actually far weaker than if it had been fired by striking the primer hard and thus using the gunpowder to propel the bullet, which explains why Chell is able to survive their attacks despite lacking any sort of armor.
  • Naturally, with no one saying otherwise, most gods who order their turrets get theirs modified (either by themselves or someone else) in all sorts of ways, like clamps to keep from falling over, changing up the firing systems so that they actually shoot bullets like bullets, and so on. Thankfully, since the "vanilla" versions still fit their current tropes, these mods don't affect their divine positions in the Pantheon.
    • Those commonly known to mod these turrets are the Engineer and Torbjörn (only for purposes of study), Peridot, Cyborg, Tony Stark (same reasons as Torb and Dell), Lucca, San Francisco DedSec, Tali'Zorah, Nitori Kawashiro, Miles Prower, etc.
      • Symmetra looks down on these turrets not only for their "medieval" design despite their smooth aesthetic (the only positive quality she considers), but for actually being far weaker than Torbjörn's and Dell's (let alone her own). Still, she has had one purchased for modification purposes; perhaps she can come up with a far superior design than Aperture's.
      • Asroc, being his team's resident Gadgeteer Genius, would try his hand on making his own improvements on them with his Septima. Not only to further aid his comrades and their efforts, but also as an opportunity to showcase his superiority over others in his field of work. Heck, with his abilities he could even turn the Defective Turrets into something useful with just the right amount of parts of junk lying around.
  • The Spy finds them hilariously easy to thwart. He doesn't even need a Sapper to destroy them. They particularly don't like it when he uses am Ap-Sap on them, which looks like Wheatley.
    • Speaking of Wheatley, anybody carrying the Idiot Ball from the Treasury since the two are one and the same will get fired upon with extreme prejudice. Which is merely getting fired upon without and prior greeting. This prejudice also applies to all Black Mesa personnel given they're Aperture Science products.

Anything more for the Chuchus or do they look good to go?

The ChuChus, Collective Deities of Escort Missions

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_6468.png
The Chuchu Pilots (from left to right): Chubei, Chuih, Chupea, Chubach
  • Demideities
  • Symbol: Themselves
  • Theme Music: ChuChu Rocket Title Screen
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Ridiculously Cute Critter, Excuse Plot, Puzzle Game
  • Domains: Mice, Space
  • High Priest: Peter Puppy
  • Allies: Sonic the Hedgehog, XCOM, Olimar, most benevolent mice
  • Fearful of: Garfield
  • In the far, far future in a far, far planet, there exists a colony of space mice that lived in peace until a legion of hungry space cats attacked. In order to escape to safety, the Chuchus need to find their way across an assortment of mazes and get to their rockets before the Kapukapus eat up one of those mice or find their way to the rockets. The areas where the Chuchus and Kapukapus are in are enclosed and the only way to turn is to hit a wall or run into directional tiles, something that the Kapukapus can presumably eat.
  • Nights in the Pantheon have been far from quiet and reports of some unusual objects falling from the sky have only added to the noise. For a few nights, some strange-shaped rockets have been crashing into a particular spot in the Pantheon and a lot of mice have been coming out of these rockets, prompting many to wonder who would do that or why there's even a bunch of mice there. Eventually, another rocket landed in the Pantheon, though this time, there were four different-colored mice inside and they were seen as the pilots of the Chuchus. Given that the Chuchus might be looking for a home to get away from the Kapukapus (even if some of these cats are sometimes sighted in the Pantheon following the Chuchu's initial arrival), some have decided to help set up a home for the Chuchus in the Pantheon so they can relax from certain matters.
  • While the Chuchus exist in high numbers, the aforementioned four pilots function as a sort of leader for the group in general. The pilots consist of the blue party mouse Chuih, the red female daydreamer Chupea, the yellow, chubby, and not-all-that-bright Chubei, and the green smarty Chubach. While they're the ones who mainly reside in the Chuchus' temple, the rest of their kin are in various places across the Pantheon and rockets carrying them will lead to that specific temple once the Chuchus that were in that previous location are accounted for.
  • Various tools exist in the Pantheon that provide the Chuchus an assortment of new maps that range from easy to navigate to those that are incredibly difficult to get through and require a lot of thought to succeed. It's also possible to create subtle and not-so-subtle messages laced in these maps, though the Chuchus aren't really aware of this and only see a lot of tall walls around them. Some deities will sometimes communicate to the Chuchus via a headphones and try to tell the Chuchus which way to navigate these custom maps.
  • One of the handful of instances where others are able to see Chuih and his co-pilots have been in a series of races arranged by Sonic that other Sega characters participated in. The four have access to a specialized version of their rocket for these moments and whenever necessary, they're able to summon a Kapukapu that can plow through the other races and get them further ahead. No one's sure why those Chuchus have access to a Kapukapu despite trying to avoid these creatures, though it might be one that's more docile compared to others. Billy Hatcher, who is also part of those races, is able to summon a Kapukapu of his own from an specific egg, something that the Chuchus are curious about.
  • The sight of another orange cat in the Pantheon was enough to frighten the Chuchus for a bit, despite said cat simply just sitting around bored and not all that interested in doing something. Garfield noticed some mice running from him despite the fact that he didn't do anything and decided to walk around and see what they're getting worked up over. He eventually reached the Chuchus and while the mice were visibly getting scared, he was only wondering what business they wanted with him and didn't have any plans to go after them. While he has dealt with mice before, he's mostly apathetic to them and the Chuchus are no different in that regard. That said, the Chuchus would rather keep their distance from Garfield, though he doesn't have a whole lot to say about them in spite of the whole deal concerning space.
    • It became quickly apparent that there were more cats roaming around the Pantheon that the Chuchus have become wary of. Seeing the Catbus for the first time more than shocked the Chuchus and while the Catbus meant no harm whatsoever towards the space mice, just the fact that something like the Catbus existed meant the Chuchus could be concerned about whether similar creatures like that are running about. One thing that the Chuchus definitely don't want to encounter is a potential cat-rocket hybrid that wants to eat them all up.
  • During his travels throughout the Pantheon, Olimar learned of a species of creatures that are focused on using rockets to escape and he alongside his Pikmin went on a search for the Chuchus. What he found were creatures that were about as small as he is and ultimately harmless, with the Chuchus looking at surprise at the much more advanced rocket that Olimar had with him. Olimar found that the rockets the Chuchus were in had more in common with the Pikmins' onion ships in terms of storing large number of small creatures. He decided to help them out whenever they need to escape from Kapukapus or if the Chuchus are just lost somewhere dangerous.
  • Tom and Jerry found themselves involved with the Chuchus' after one of the rockets landed near a field that Tom and Jerry were at. Tom was curious about it following it nearly crashing onto him and was surprised to see a bunch of mice run out of the rocket and somewhere else. The Chuchus then ended up in a hiding place that Jerry was at and showed him what was going on and what they're trying to get done. Jerry was willing to help out some fellow mice and figured that the Kapukapus aren't any smarter than Tom is (and likely dumber by extension). While Jerry has used his skills to help the Chuchus, Tom has made many unsuccessful attempts to thwart the Chuchus escape plans and his failures are more pronounced whenever Jerry is involved.
  • In a more general sense, various other rodents gradually learned about the Chuchus and their ordeal. For the most part, these other mice have been helpful to the Chuchus whenever they meet and the Chuchu pilots have sometimes found the time to meet up with them whenever the Chuchus aren't in severe trouble. In particular, Miss Bianca and Bernard have taken to the skies to help the Chuchus, which they've come to see as adventurous young mice, navigate whatever maze they're in and avoid the Kapukapus.
  • As the Chuchus were going around a dangerous place, they found themselves caught in a fight between the XCOM and some dangerous aliens while trying to get to some rockets. The XCOM noticed a few some lifeforms nearby, but ultimately found them harmless and after the aliens were defeated, the Chuchus reached their rocket. Given how the XCOM has had some experience in escorting certain people to their destination, the Chuchus figured that they would help get rid of more dangerous obstacles so that they can get to their rockets safely. Although the XCOM doesn't encounter the Chuchus that often, they'll help them out should said encounters happen.
  • One activity that a handful of mean deities are willing to do out of boredom is to get some malicious mechanics and design robotic lookalikes of the Chuchus that are wired to detonate the rocket ships once they enter. This has resulted in a number of the Chuchus' escapes thwarted and some heroic mechanics that the Chuchu pilots met have retaliated by making mechanical Kapukapus that would specifically target the fake Chuchus that are attempting to destroy the rockets. While the robot Kapukapus have stopped the fake Chuchus a number of times, they haven't been as successful to use against the real Kapukapus.
  • Even if the Chuchus were to get inside their rockets, getting said rockets to a safe place in the Pantheon has proven to be difficult due to various aerial threats. A few rockets were unlucky enough to get hit by those attacks, with most of them coming from villains who are looking for something to use for target practice. The Chuchu pilots have been working to modify their rockets with enhancements that would let them avoid these air strikes.

Okina Matara, Goddess of Doors to Somewhere (The Ultimate, Absolute Secret God, Earth Mother Goddess, God of Noh, God of Stars, God of Silkworm Breeding, God of Hindrances, God of Burakumin, etc.)

  • Greater Goddess
  • Symbol: One of her backdoors
  • Theme Music: The Concealed Four Seasons, Secret God Matara ~ Hidden Star in All Seasons
  • Alignment: For the time being, True Neutral
  • Portfolio: The Secret God of Many Facets, Power to Create Back Doors, Ushirodo-no-Kuni, Power over Vitality and Mental Energy, Likes to Sit Around, Wants to Stand Out
  • Domains: Gods, Doors, Thrones, Energy
  • Heralds: Satono Nishida and Mai Teireida
  • Allies: Yukari Yakumo
  • Rivals: Nyotengu, Aya Shameimaru
  • Okina is one of the sages who created Gensokyo, and one of its protectors from the Outside World. Calling herself a secret god, she is a multifaceted god who hides behind all creation. A god whose true nature is unknown to all others.
  • Her main power is the power to create back doors by placing them onto objects like people's backs. These doors lead back to Ushirodo-no-Kuni (Land of the Back Door), a realm with nothing but giant doors which are connected to her back doors.
    • Own its own, this is not that impressive of a power. However, this allows Okina to fully utilize a power she mysteriously gained one day, which is the power to manipulate life and mental energy. By placing one of her back doors on a person's back, she can directly manipulate their life energy, such as pouring life energy into them to make them stronger. By using this with fairies, this caused huge influx of seasonal energy to appear, rapidly altering the seasons in Gensokyo. She can even outright create life, or at least give life to inanimate objects by charging them with life energy.
  • Okina is largely based on Matara-jin, a god with multiple facets and one connected to many other gods and people. As such, her dominions are vast and varied. She is a Earth mother who is also a god of noh, stars, silkworm breeding, hindrances, untouchable and probably more. She is also said to be god of disabled but how true it is is up in the air. This is mainly because she does have a wheelchair alongside her throne, but she doesn't always use it.
    • Is sort of disappointed that there are only few noh performers in the Pantheon like Yumi. She also hasn't elaborated if she has any connections to Hata no Kokoronote
    • To elaborate on her being "god of burakumin", it is referred to people who were ostracised for being closely associated with death such as butchers, undertakers, executioners etc. For example, she expected some worship from Sanson due of his family being feared by common people due of their profession, but he inly worships one and true God.
    • Naturally is in opposition with Nyotengu since tengu are born from "people of hindrances" who decided to hid in the mountains, while Okina is one who hid behind buddhas and being a god of hindrances also means warding off tengu.
  • There are rumours that she might intend to usurp Skadi out of her seat since she has more weird positions under her belt than her and it is more fitting for a "secret god" like her to hold such position. Though these are just rumours at this point.
  • They say that no one has seen, heard or spoken about her true form. The truth is that she doesn't have a "true form" so to speak. She is just a syncretism of different aspects related to one entity.
  • As a god, she is as classical as they get, being fearsome forwards to those who oppose her and reliable for her allies. She definitely has traits of Jerkass God, like when she messed around with Sumireko Usami's Real World self and Dream World self. Though as a "secret god", she doesn't really want to stay hidden. She wants others to acknowledge her existence while leaving a certain mystery with her.
  • Is still looking for potentials replacements for her two Backup Dancers. Why she wants to replace Satono and Mai, no one knows, but she isn't necessarily in a rush to replace them, if she even really wants to replace them. The two of them are in stand-by in House of Insanity so that they can study madness.
  • Most likely doesn't work for Monsters, Inc.. Her back doors are just back doors. She also most likely has nothing to do with the Anywhere Door.
  • Many of the Pantheon's fairies have a cautious eye towards her due of her causing the weather incident by filling fairies with life energy. Double so when she used her back doors to transform the Gensokyo's fairies into crystals called stone cherries in an attempt to draw out potential spies from Hell (i.e. Clownpiece) so that she can tell any invaders to be afraid of her presence.
  • Due of her being placed in the Pantheon, she had to do a lot of work on setting up Ushirodo-no-Kuni to include back doors to different places in the Pantheon. This had some odd side-effects, such as when Ramora Flowers somehow ended there, with one of Subway Highways somehow having been connected to one of her back doors. Incidents like that has made her be cautious on who can enter the realm as not to allow any unwanted people get into Gensokyo, with the biggest nuisance she has to deal with is Faust, as he insists using Ushirodo-no-Kuni as a shortcut. This is also when it comes to gods potentially drawing power from it, as she has seen Nue Houjuu do that for one of her Spell Cards.

@R-Lock [tup] for Tom and Jerry in space. Also i guess they are being added to Sega Heroes if that's worth mentioning...

Anyway, i'm also done with a profile and it wouldn't be wise to post it buuuut screw it. Is Radec good to go?

Colonel Mael Radec, God of Right-Hand Enforcers (The Vicious Leader of The Helghast Forces, The Hound of Visari)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/radec.png
  • Returns to: Villainous Roles
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: The Helghast Triad (Alternatively, his helmet with the eyes glowing a bright orange.)
  • Theme Song: Helghan Forever, but when he gets serious, Autarch's Sanctum Battle
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil
  • Portfolio: Being a Terrible Boss and still being A Father to His Men, Looking like Vader, Loving Battle, Colonel Badass, Hero Killer, Genius Bruiser, Committing Suicide to Keep Honor.
  • Domains: Death, War, Combat, Evil, Tyranny, Power.
  • Followers: Tartarus
  • Superior: Scolar Visari
  • Allies: The Helghast Empire, The higher members of the GUAE but special mention goes to Melkor, Johann Schmidt/Red Skull, Lord Brevon, Lex Luthor, M. Bison, Raul Menendez, Selvaria Bles, William "Deathshead" Strasse, Megatron, Palpatine, Arcturus Mengsk, Senator Armstrong, Kane, Darth Vader, Soundwave, Scanty and Kneesocks, Wild Dog
  • Rivals: Sir Daniel Fortesque, Colonel Roy Mustang, Commander Shepard, Mr. "Jane" Doe/The Soldier, Uther the Lightbringer, Saber, Isaac Clarke, The Grineer
  • Enemies: The Killzone Squad, Polygon Man, The GUAG Combat Division, Martin Walker, Alex Mason, Captain America, Cole McGrath, Sackboy, Nathan Drake, Kratos, Starscream, Parasoul, Harpuia
  • Fears: Gordon Freeman
  • Colonel Mael Radec is a fearsome Helghast Commander known for being ruthless, a brilliant Tactician and for being one of the main obstacles that prevented ISA from advancing into Pyrrhus. He was, for a reason, the personal bodyguard of Autarch Scolar Visari and because of that he was awarded an ascension after he shot himself to prevent the ISA from capturing him and thus given the position of the Divine Enforcer.
  • Radec for a while was the sole Helghast presence in the pantheon and was relegated to working as a mercenary until the Helghast Army joined as a whole, and so did the nation of Helghan and its glorious leader, Scolar Visari. Radec never admitted it but he was overjoyed to see his men and superior become deities in their own right.
  • Radec received an offer to join GUAE once he ascended, Melkor met the Colonel and told what happened to Helghan following his and Visari's death. Enraged, he was convinced by Melkor to work for GUAE in the meantime while the latter managed to get the trust of the Helghast so once they saw Radec on his side, they would undoubtably join his side.
    • However, while having appreciated the ascension of the Helghan troops, Radec wasn't entirely sold on the GUAE given that he had a hard time following anyone that wasn't Autarch Visari. So, Melkor, having witnessed Visari's charisma, decided to arrange his ascension and sway him to his side. He succeeded, and the moment Visari showed as one of GUAE's heads, Radec and the Helghast followed suit. They will serve him without question.
  • While he is ok with working for the Grand United Alliance of Evil, Radec has one rule he made upon ascension in the Pantheon: Never, even under circumstances, will he ever team up with Starscream ever. According to him, Starscream is one of the examples of "a failed supervillain" and he is disgusted at what the Decepticon has done to his own comrades. He loathes him to even the point that he considers him a personal enemy of his.
  • His loyalty lies first to the Helghast Empire and it's unlikely he will ever turn on his comrades. This was proven when Nyarlathotep and Chakravatin attempted to test Radec by sending him into combat against unknown foes, who were later revealed to be members of Radec's personal guard. This infuriated the Hound of Visari to no end, and as a counter measure prepared the 501st and the Helghast Army in battling the ones that almost tricked him and their respective armies. Darth Vader has agreed to loan resources to Radec's endeavour, especially after both armies became close allies and Vader also noticed similarities between him and Radec with the added irony that both Visari and Palpatine were also allies.
  • Concerning other generals and commanders, he is close to Selvaria Bles given that she share the same devotion towards his men and leader, even to a point Radec would never get attached to. He also praised her combat prowess and tactical knowledge, and while Selvaria returns the sentiment in a way, the manner in which sometimes Radec executes his own men for the smallest of infractions rubs her the wrong way. She also works occassionally with the Helghast as well.
  • Naturally, Radec was not happy that the ISA finally got some representative in the form the Killzone Squad but he was also glad that one of the ascendants was Jan Templar, who he personally killed back when the ISA was invading Helghan. However, Rico Velasques was one of the several ISA soldiers that he wanted to personally kill after learning that they were responsible for murdering Visari shortly after Radec was wounded and killed himself. And Visari himself gave the order to execute the ISA members, an order that Radec would gladly oblige if it gave him the chance to avenge his and his superior's death.
  • Radec is an oddity among commanders considering that he exhibits tendencies of a Bad Boss and also being A Father to His Men. Many of the best Helghast soldiers were trained by him, people he would gladly praise and fight alognside with but also has executed his own soldiers for uniform violations, not to mention cowardice and treachery.
  • Participated in Polygon Man's tournament where he met people from several other worlds and he has a grudge towards a few that wronged him such as Nathan Drake and Sackboy. He also had several run-ins with Sir Daniel Fortesque, the skeleton's antics didn't amuse the Helghast Colonel and learning that he was actually a failure of a commander made him more mad at Sir Dan. However, he understimated Fortesque's prowess and has lost most of his fights but next time he will take care of him and even the score.
    • Speaking of the Polygon Man, Radec has been interested in harnessing his power in order to use it for the benefit of Helghan and destroy the enemies of the Helghast once and for all. In one timeline he was succesful but that hasn't come to fruition in the pantheon...yet.
  • Sage Harpuia is not fond of Radec's ruthlessness and likewise the Hound of Visari finds him to be unworthy of his title as "Sage. He is also dissapointed on Parasoul given their similar motifs and her soldiers being somewhat similar to the Helghast, except Parasoul is more peaceful in her approach. He expressed a desire to face her in combat and induct her army into the Helghast if she were to be defeated but Parasoul is not amused by said proposals.
  • Several good aligned soldiers tend to go after Radec given his ties to GUAE and also resembling many of the foes they tend to face. Radec hardly considers them a challenge except for one, Gordon Freeman. He caused considerable damage to the Combine and he fears he could do the same on the Helghast and given the option, Radec would rather prevent that. Not helped by the fact that Freeman tends to be overseen by the mysterious G-Man.
  • Despite appearances, Radec believes in a fair battle and wishes that he and his opponents face each other as soldiers on the battlefield. He also cannot tolerate cheaters, period.
    • His characteristic has gotten him a lot of Worthy Opponents, from Paladins such as Uther and Saber, to military deities like Commander Shepard and The Soldier. Even Isaac Clarke appreciates Radec's fair play and even if he is a man with twisted morals, many have come to respect him as a tactician (Executing his own men not withstanding). He sees Colonel Roy Mustang as the best opponent he has fought in years and when the time comes, he would want to face him in duel to the death.
  • He was once approached by Wild Dog, who once upon a time challenged the Helghast for his title as The Dragon given that Wild Dog has served several terrorist over the years. Radec bested him and then Wild Dog had to find a different position but there was no hard feelings between the two and Wild Dog even ended up offering his services towards the Helghan Empire.
  • One would think that him and the Helghast would be the perfect allies for the Grineer but as it turns out, they never liked them in the first place. The Twin Queens once wanted to hire him after hearing of his achievements commanding the Helghast but Radec simply never even bother to humour them with a response. Since then, the two Queen held a grudge against the Helghast Colonel and have wanted for the longest time to get back at him one way or another.
  • "The essence of combat: kill or be killed."

  • Considered a hero by most toons, even some of the evil ones, for stopping Judge Doom's plan to destroy Toon Town and its toons with the Dip. Given the Dip literally erases toons, it's easy to see why. Eddie was interested to learn how just how many toons were introduced since 1947, and is wondering how anime fits into it. And he was horrified to learn that despite having every reason to think Judge Doom no longer exists, the Trope Pantheon brought him back.
  • Though an ally of toons, he had an issue with them because one toon killed his brother by dropping a piano on him. Of course even then he got along with Roger Rabbit and had toon friends. SCP-1171-1 of all deities found this strange, not getting that he has human friends despite being racist towards them. Then again, he's also in denial about his own prejudices, so he may just not want to see the comparison.
  • Prejudice might be something expected from the House of Hatred, particularly Categorism, but it is not a house Eddie enjoys being in(despite being the house he belongs in). He's not a really hateful figure, just jaded, and doesn't want to be near his most hated enemy of Judge Doom. It's safe to say he doesn't like the Red Skull given he's a die-hard Nazi and WWII ended just a couple years before the events of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Gihren Zabi too, since he's A Nazi by Any Other Name.
  • Was somewhat of an alcoholic before he became less of a sourpuss, but has stopped drinking. Instead he picks non-alcoholic beverages in bars and makes conversation. He gets why Drinky Cow and Captain Haddock down what they do, and wants to encourage them to not let the bottle consume them. Eddie also gets along with Yu Narukami due to how protective he is about his brother, reminding Eddie of the love he had for his own brother.
  • Employed by the House of Justice due to his job as a detective, even if he isn't an official member of the house. He gets along with the non-evil detectives, particularly Royotaro Dojima since he can sympathize with missing that one case. Also gets along with Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne and John Hartigan, the last one for dealing with a rather cynical world while keeping his morality intact.
  • Initially spooked out by Doc Brown since he looks like Judge Doom and was somewhat wacky, but he soon realized they were different people. For starters Judge Doom's human disguise has an Uncanny Valley effect that he was able to pick on. Doc Brown hates Judge Doom too, and Doc was a generally friendly individual who got along with Eddie.
  • His father was a Barnum and Bailey circus clown, which surprised a lot of the people in the pantheon. Eddie pointed out that he still has some humor in him, who do you think taught him? Because of the love he has for his father he feels evil clowns bring shame on the industry, especially ones who actually did perform as clowns like the Jokernote  and Adam McIntrye.
  • While he doesn't much care for fast food, Eddie has some fondness for Ronald McDonald as he's an honest clown like his father, and trying to improve their image. Eddie also gets along with Krusty, even if he's much more bitter and cynical. Then again, he's a cynical fellow himself. Though they're more seen together in a tavern than anywhere else, though he picks the non-alcoholic drinks.

[tup] for Okina and ChuChu

Can I move Shenron (Literal Genie) to Magic Casters? His trope involves the wish being granted too literally, not about Literal-Minded genies, as anyone in that trope can grant wishes. It's about the wish, not the person.

@nightelf37 Regarding allies of the Sentry Turrents, plenty of evil armies, such as the Helghan Empire and the 501st Legion, would probably buy a lot of them, either for cheap security or as expendable mooks for their armies. The Grand United Alliance of Machines would likely also buy them for the same reason. Soldiers such as Dwayne Hicks and Jenette Vasquez could also have purchased some to see how well they worked against Xenomorphs, which probably didn't go so well, making it unlikely that they'd purchase any again in the forseeable future.

@r-lock256 [tup] for the ChuChus.

@TPPR 10 [tup] for Okina Matara.

@Eddie: Since the Killer Klowns from Outer Space are also evil clowns, he probably wouldn’t like them either. Granted, they certainly aren’t doing any circus work, but they’re still evil none the less.

Done.

Like I said, looking for a clear pic without Vader. The old pic looks old.

Also plan to create a GUAE space fleet and supervillain army.

  • Uneasy Relationship: The 501st Joint Fighter Wing, including Mio Sakamoto (one of their trainers)
  • Complicated Relationship: The Tactician
  • From the Republic to the Empire, from the Clone Wars to the Galactic Civil War, this is the definitive model of mook the entire omniverse of fiction has seen. The 501st Legion was known far and wide for its military and tactical capabilities, especially their creativity on the battlefield, rendering them some of the most loyal and capable soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic. After Order 66 was enacted and the Great Jedi Purge carried out (with the help of those very same troopers), all that was wiped clean as the aging clones were replaced by fresh new human recruits to serve as Imperial stormtroopers. What was once a stellar unit serving under General Anakin Skywalker, Commander Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex had degraded into the still exemplary yet lacklustre personal unit of Darth Vader, chief enforcer of Emperor Palpatine.
  • After seeing the House of Defense resembling a pigsty for the 37th time in a month, Captain America sought a restructuring of the House, with the goal of creating a unified infantry corps to police and enforce discipline throughout the Pantheon. However, the many dossiers and troop reports in the Defense archives were so out-of-date that it was impossible to draft any sort of re-organization plan. He switched gears and decided to find an already unified force to serve. Darth Vader (a GUAE spy at the time), seeing a chance to advance his master's agenda, offered his squadron. Captain America, glad that he could finally sleep again, agreed. And so it was the 501st Legion, Vader's Fist, the vaunted personal unit of Darth Vader himself, was ascended into the Pantheon.
    • Emperor Palpatine requested that Vader ascend the entire Imperial Stormtrooper Corps as well as its First Order successors into the Pantheon. Vader knew that would be unrealistic as that would mean ascending a party numbering in the millions, the very idea of which the Court would find unacceptable even if they were ascending under the trope Mooks. Hence, he defied his master's orders, a quiet show of insubordination that would eventually lead to him splitting ties with Sidious and later the GUAE entirely. Palpatine was displeased that Vader hadn't at least tried to appeal to the Court for leniency, but he wisely acknowledged that doing so would show weakness, probable cause for him to be ousted as Commander of the GUAE Conquest Army and went:
Palpatine: So be it, Lord Vader. But see to it that your men are stationed in every area of our godly abode, enforcing everything that transpires in our wake. Do not make me regret having them ascended under such a humiliating title.
  • Applies to all of them:
    • While most of them are former clone troopers and/or stormtrooper recruits (possibly including First Order stormtroopers in Imperial-era armor), a small percentage started off as cosplayers with really, really good costumes. Of course, these are members of the original fan group called the 501st Legion that lent its name to the esteemed group. If said fan club members want to be part of the real 501st Legion, they have to have at least 5 years of prior military experience. Lord Vader doesn't want ordinary schmucks in the 501st.
    • They are currently stationed in most areas of the Pantheon, serving as its premier peacekeeping force, performing regular patrolling, defusing riots, and performing the majority of arrests in small cases. At least one 501st garrison is stationed in each House of the Pantheon, with the largest one serving the House of War. Until recently they served as the main infantry of the GUAE reporting to Vader, but when Vader resigned his commission in the GUAE after his status as a GUAG agent was exposed, he took most of the 501st with him. Their primary temple in the House of War only acts as a supplementary training centre, most of their operations are centred in the House of Defense.
    • Note that these non-partisan duties extend to routine military action and response, specific duties such as dealing with Eldritch Abominations are best left to those with that specialty, such as the SCP Foundation and Men In Black. They aren't always successful with stronger deities, however. Their armor makes them essentially Immune to Bullets, but who in the Pantheon uses a gun? Well, a lot, but mostly those guns have either proven superior to their armor or other abilities (including shooting at terrain that can kill them just as easily) they have offset that.
    • As the Pantheon's resident non-aligned military force (for the most part), the 501st is one of the few deities who can outright have allies of all alignments without anybody hating them outwardly. There is resentment towards them, but any deity that takes action against them receives strict punishment. Lord Brevon is rumoured to have been on the receiving end of this after his invasion of the Main House, as are those responsible for the three times their members were completely exterminated. The GUAE often uses their role as a way to access important Pantheon places and objects, though checks and balances are in place to prevent massive security breaches.
    • While they officially defer to Vader, they also take orders from anyone of sufficient authority, good or evil. This extends to all members of the Main House and House of Defense. The most elite squads occasionally receive missions from the Progenitors, which is itself a rare opportunity. Before that, they reported to the Holy Trinity of Dream of the Endless, Haruhi Suzumiya and Eru Ilúvatar.
    • People were worried about the needless deaths that could happen from Vader's outbursts of anger and assertions of failure (i.e. force-choking them to death). Vader doesn't really engage in such slaughter anymore, but is still prone to snapping if the 501st repeatedly goes below his impossibly high standards. They are the elite after all, so they should not fail too often if they have prepared sufficiently.
    • In the case of Ahsoka Tano, especially since they now know that Vader pre-Mustafar was her master and former commander Anakin, they follow her orders the same way they do Anakin, though it's clear that this working relationship is more out of professionalism than a clear sense of camaraderie.
    • Trained under some of the best military officers and combat experts in the Pantheon. However, none have stayed long due to personal commitments, Batman being a prominent example. Their current commanders besides Vader and Ahsoka are Grand Admiral Thrawn, who leads the remnants that continue serving the Grand United Alliance of Evil and Taskmaster, their main combat instructor. Thrawn's pride in them, especially the First Legion (see below), coupled with the Taskmaster's photographic memory and skills in dealing with metahuman entities have made the once mediocre force into an army fully capable of dealing with the many threats in the Pantheon without being humiliated.
    • They've had their share of difficult commanding officers, but at the top of all of them is the Tactician. If they happen to be in the battle area, the Tactician would either just ignore them, use them as meatshields for his/her own troops, or put them under the same "umbrella of protection" (i.e. don't let any one of them die). If they're under his/her command, s/he is hard pressed to keep every single one of them alive.
    • Nearly wiped out three times:
      • First was after 100 Baneblades charged inside the Pantheon, no doubt led by a tactical geni-CREEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!;
      • Second, after some pilot who hijacked a nuke-loaded Gundam shot them with it (GATOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!)
      • Third was after their initial involvement with the Godmodder's attack on the Pantheon. In the middle of a full-scale civil war in the House of War which spread to the entire rest of the Pantheon no less.
    • Not to be confused with that other 501st. Thought once the second-in-command of the 501st Joint Fighter Wings, Mio Sakamoto, ascended, she was made into the personal trainer of the 501st Legion alongside Taskmaster. They commend that where she is rather strict in training, she is surprisingly nice to them all things considered.
  • Applies to specific units/individuals:
    • You'd be hard-pressed to find an actual individual among the 501st. Since the majority of them are from the age of the Empire, they've been indoctrinated with the values of conformity and compliance, which extends to their blank, white armor and overall lack of identity.
    • However, there are some special little snowflakes that stand out from the crowd, the clones that stayed on from the era of the Clone Wars. None of the clones listed under individual members aside from Appo, the trooper who led the raid on the Jedi Temple have been identified as of yet. Appo is reportedly trying to encourage individualism in his personal squadron to repent for the atrocities he committed slaughtering thousands of Jedi, in direct defiance of the Emperor's orders.
    • Despite Darth Vader's redemption and Heel–Face Turn, Captain Rex has not yet renewed relations with his former commander and as such is not regarded as a member of the 501st in the Pantheon. However, most Clone Wars-era 501st members look back on him fondly, and proudly defer to him whenever they have to work with the Rebellion. Despite the Imperial's best efforts, a memorial of sorts has been erected in the 501st's temple honouring Rex.
    • Being a legion for operating under Vader in any and all environments in the Pantheon, the 501st obviously has its share of Elite Mooks. These include shoretroopers, snowtroopers, jumptroopers, magma troopers, riot troopers, sandtroopers, scout troopers and swamptroopers. The most elite of them all are death troopers, unquestionably loyal soldiers donning black armor who serve as security detail for prominent Imperial officers in the Pantheon, ascended or non-ascended. The most prominent units serve ascended officers Director Krennic and Thrawn. In addition to these routine duties, the death troopers also serve as the first line of defense for any Imperial resources in the Pantheon, primarily stationed around the Vault to defend the Imperial Missile Boat.
    • Another cream of the crop unit is the First Legion, the unit that personally escorts Darth Vader and any officers serving aboard his flagship, the Super Star Destroyer Executor. As such, they have well-toned temperaments and behaviour to remain under the radar and escape punishments from Vader. Any troopers here that fail to meet expectations are either demoted and returned to the general 501st and/or executed (especially if treason is suspected). Commanding officer Kimmund already has his hands full with smoothing relationship between the Legion and his superiors and now he's in a Forever War? Pretty clear why the First Legion had three previous commanders in quick succession. They are rarely distinguishable from other stormtroopers, with their only noticeable traits being that their primary vessel is a repurposed Separatist freighter.
    • Finally, we have Task Force 99, or SCAR Squad, a special ops team specializing in missions requiring unorthodox skills. Each member of the squad specializes in specific tactics, making them perfect pair-ups with other counterparts in the Pantheon, such as the Suicide Squad and Rogue One. Sergeant Kreel, one of the best examples of Badass Normal within the legion, is perfectly capable of battling with a lightsaber.
  • Serve as the bulk of the forces in the House of Defense.
I am a stormtrooper. My skin is my armor. My face is my helmet. My name is my number. I am fulfilled, for I am an agent of the Emperor.

Add this bit in the 501st as a justification for their existence.

  • Some people wonder if their armor even works in the first place and why they even bother with such things. As it happens, there is a good reason. They're light, imposing (to the average Joe), effective (at least when it comes to glancing shots, and doubles as an environmental and space suit), and cheap (especially since the Emperor spent a lot of credits on the Death Star(s)).
