Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    open/close all folders

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • Gods can't be followers or high priests for obvious reasons.
  • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
  • No hype profiles, please.
    • So you ask, what exactly is 'hype profile'? It is a profile based on ongoing events that hasn't been around very long, but generates a lot of hype, possibly because of elements such as Wham Episode or Memetic Mutation or Large Ham or overall 'OMGAWESOME!!!' They're all not bad tropes, but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time). You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but don't make the profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
  • DO. NOT. put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, don't do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, do yourself a favor and delete it from that main page. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good & Evil Colors.
  • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
    • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
    • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
    • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
    • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to the Treasures or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Treasures or Dominions.
  • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
  • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
  • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you're only given three chances on such. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
  • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what's currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction.
  • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • Please use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, or something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted.
  • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this god has spots in other houses as well.
  • When writing facts/trivia about gods, try not to contradict what has already been written elsewhere.
  • When writing down the name of a Theme Song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name.
  • When adding an image for your God, make sure that it is not too big unless you wish to write more about the god you have chosen.
  • If you feel the need to remove a god for some reason and replace him/her with another, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. If you're lucky (and they're from the same franchise), maybe both of them can share the title "Gods of (Insert Trope Here)".
  • Certain tropes can have more than one God. It is not advisable, but it is not forbidden. Just ensure that this second God will bring in new flavor of the trope. If you have doubts on how to bring the other flavors, consult the Trope Pantheon Discussion forum. Case in point: In the original Greek Mythology (and later Roman Mythology), both Ares/Mars and Athena/Minerva share the title of 'God/Goddess of War', and even then, they differ in flavor: Ares is about brutal warfare, Athena is about war strategies and finesse, while Mars took up some of Athena's elements that he kinda differs out than Ares. If the original myth can do this, why the hell not for the Pantheon?
  • Be creative! If you need some time to work out your potential deity's profile, use the Pending Gods or Pending Gods 2 page to get help. Incomplete and/or low-quality entries are more likely to get deleted or replaced.
  • When writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. See also the Rules section. Especially the 1st bullet point.
  • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name.
  • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it's well advised not to abuse them. Aside from introducing too many niche concepts, there are still chances for new tropes related to your chosen deity's title to be launched through YKTTW...
    • Additionally however, the only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. IE: Their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they're closely associated with In-Universe, or both (example: Gangplank and his oranges).
  • Maximum number of tropes what a god should have is three, but don't try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused.
  • Some series will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps, as well. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it's because they're a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they're connected to another deity in their respective canon.
  • As far as deities from actual mythologies (Greco-Roman, Norse, Japanese, etc.) are concerned, try not to replicate the default myths about their characters and use a fictional counterpart instead. In other words, if you want to use the Greek/Roman god Ares/Mars, you can't add him as the "God of War", but you can use him as part of another trope as long as it's a different version of him. For example:
    • Zeus, while having elements of his persona from Classical Mythology, draws more from his portrayal in the God of War Series.
    • Thor and Loki's Pantheon portrayals are influenced heavily by their appearances in their Marvel Comics series.
    • Amaterasu is a woman in her Japanese mythology portrayal, but her Pantheon counterpart is the dog goddess from Ōkami.
  • Don't depend too much on the hype/meme train, don't just jump onto that train willy-nilly in order to put on some events or entry in the Pantheon. It might not last very long or represent the trope best. This is Trope Pantheons, not Trope Hype Train!
  • Unless the character proposed is specifically from the Abridged version, the character should represent the tropes in their canon selves. If they also happen to possess the trait of the Abridged self, good! But otherwise, get the abridged stuff onto just the flavor texts.
  • To prevent any surprising need to rework profiles due to new development, please restrain from ascending gods from a series before the thing is either released or for longer-running series, there is a good enough of a break from story. This also applies to already existing series if there is a new thing coming out.
  • Please be sure to ask in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you don't waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
    • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else.
  • It is much more recommended to word the title like "God of X" instead of "The God that Xs". This will give off the vibe the God actually ruled over that trope instead of just 'did X', giving more credentials to how it's the best example of the trope.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Deity Template
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Potential House:
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity. This doesn't always have to be a representation of power, but it can also represent influence in the Pantheon.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Song that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D.
  • Gender: For Pokémon deities only. Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
  • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
  • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies.
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes.
  • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that have various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.) other than allies, rivals, or enemies.
  • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Pokémon.
  • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
  • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or find pitiable.
  • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by, regardless of alignment.
  • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.

As for The Paragon Always Rebels, I was planning to take the profile of a certain Horus Lupercal from Ferot's sandbox. To reiterate, Horus was the prodigy the Emperor wanted to be and even made him Warmaster of the Imperium following the Great Crusade. What would turn from the glorification of man turned into a bloody revolution as Horus, who chose to defect humanity, attacked the Emperor and staged various splits between all the Space Marine Chapters, including his siblings. This resulted to his banishment by Emps, the split of the Imperium's Loyalist and Traitor forces and placed the permanent dent to the Imperium's success.

[up] So far, that seems interesting.

There is a major difference between. Horus and Archaeon from what I see. Horus chose to defect willingly whereas Archaeon went mad from finding out he was destined to be the Warhammer equivalent of The Antichrist. Differing reasons, but there's a unique dynamic in each of their reasons for The Paragon Always Rebels.

On a different note, thinking about ascending Namine, though I'm thinking about a suitable trope for now.

[up] Oh yeah they released an official list of Omega Mutants right? OK then. Would it also be prudent to bump Vader up to Greater God as well? In comparison to everyone else in Star Wars he seems weak, which is quite odd for the Chosen One, considering the Emperor has stated that at Vader's peak, his power may be unparalleled compared to his.

[down] Then I'll just add 'reach greater god levels at peak'

[up] I would say that he's maybe Borderline, but he's still firmly in Intermediate, because with the cyborg suit, Vader didn't really grow as a hybrid Force/saber user. Sure, he's fairly powerful in his own right compared to most Force users, but he cannot get much stronger because he's been heavily crippled after his fight with Obi-Wan on Mustafar. Unless you believe that in order to become a Force Ghost, you need to be at least Greater God, though that's not necessarily a power point, but rather a point where the deceased Force User realizes the truth and becomes one with the Force.

Permission to bump the Enclave to Lesser? They are one of the most feared threats in their setting, and for good reason. Being basically Pre-War government they have access to higher end technology like full power armor and energy weapons, and it’s enough for them to seriously push around just about everyone in their way. Even the Brotherhood of Steel were initially cautious of them, and they had similar levels of tech.

Their crippling weakness is numbers, being the isolationist purist faction that they are (whom are no stranger to attempted genocide), but even still they aren’t push overs. Old members in New Vegas, should they be persuaded to fight in the final battle, trounce whoever they are fighting and disappear just as they came. One faction depending on who they one tried to hunt them down but to absolutely no avail.

Clifford, God of Giants Who Were Tiny In Childhood (The Big Red Dog)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cliff5.gif
  • When he first encountered Dag, he was intimidating enough for Clifford to immediately run away. Funnily enough, because of Clifford's size, Dag was also inclined to run, and tends to stay away lest he get stomped by the big red dog.
  • Bigby is among those who gets along with Clifford, given that he used to be the runt of his mother's litter. His true form also tends to be enormous, too.
  • Given his sheer size, Cruella is very much looking forward to getting his thick red pelt. And given she ordered a hunt on a zoo captive and was willing to kidnap pets...

Rhyme, Goddess of Wistful Amnesia (Skulls Jr., Black, Raimu Bito)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rhyme.png
  • Symbol: Her bell necklace
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Big Brother Worship, Bokukko, Satellite Character, kindness and blonde hair, contented youth, Morality Pet, Sacrificial Lamb, being Only Mostly Dead, Parental Favoritism, Summon Magic
  • Domains: Knowledge, Amnesia, Hopes, Dreams
  • High Priest: Tatsuya Kaname
  • Allies: Beat (her brother), Neku Sakuraba, Shiki Misaki, Joshua, Sora, Riku, Doreen Green, Makoto Nanaya, Yu Narukami, Nanako and Ryotaro Dojima, Sojiro Sakura, Ice King
  • Opposes: Sho Minamimoto, Master Xehanort and his cohorts

  • Rhyme was a kid with hopes and dreams for the future, and she looked up to her brother despite all his shortcomings. Then they took a car to their entire bodies, taking them straight to the Reaper's Game, and with Rhyme without her memories. It was there that they met Neku and Shiki. A lot of things happened during the game and its extra two weeks, such as Rhyme's Erasure, returning as a Noise for Beat to Partner with in order to continue existing, and eventually being revived by the end of the whole Reaper's Game business.
  • A while after returning to the Pantheon, Joshua channeled Rhyme's dreams again, to allow her to enter the Pantheon. Beat was overjoyed and waited by Joshua's side so that he could immediately greet his sister. The joy was mutual, as Rhyme was also overjoyed to see her elder brother. Thanks to Beat winning the Reapers' Game, she'd regained her memories of him.
    • Unfortunately, she's implied to have no specific hopes or dreams for the future, due to losing the Reapers' Game, even though she technically didn't get erased. It reminds her of the time she spent in Traverse Town without her memories. As stated in a document in her homeworld though, a void in one's heart can be refilled as long as one enjoys the present. So Rhyme doesn't let this get her down. She's even found a new goal:
    • Being the nice person she is, Rhyme decided that she'd like to do what she can do jog her followers' memories, and help them out beyond that.
  • Some gods in the Pantheon mistook her for a boy at first, until she spoke. Their reasoning was that while Rhyme isn't necessarily unfeminine, the gods from Square-Enix media tend to look feminine.
  • To better defend herself in the Pantheon, Joshua gifted her a couple Pins she can use for Psyches, and she seems to be able to handle them well. After all, she had to have been a reliable enough Partner for Beat given how Noise battles in the UG work. Neku and Shiki were just never there to see it until now.
  • Her fondness for repeating quotes and adages reminds Solid Snake of Mei Ling, and old ally of his. He suspects they'd get along.
  • Experiences a strange familiarity whenever she's in the presence of Doreen Green. This is because Rhyme spent two weeks as a Squirrel Noise, but she doesn't remember any of that.
    • The two have become friends, and Rhyme has also become friends with Makoto Nanaya.
  • Alongside Beat, she's become fast friends with Yu Narukami. She's even voiced her opinion that sometimes one of the two boys reminds her of the other. Naturally, she also befriended the Dojimas Yu lived with during his time at Inaba.
  • Since Beat's become a frequent visitor of Leblanc, Rhyme has also gotten acquainted with Sojiro.
  • Rhyme has a tendency to secretly take away Beat's belongings whenever she feels that they're distracting him from an important task at hand.
  • With Rhyme's ascension, Shiki is the last one of Neku's friends to ascend, should she ever. Except it turns out Shiki had already been in the Pantheon before her; it's just that her position had been "overridden" by another, and then that representative goddess left it to join her group, and, well... go check Shiki's profile for what exactly happened.
  • She was surprised when one of her followers, Ice King, ascended. The two have spent more time together since then. Even after he's turned back to Simon Petrikov.

If you can't get around it, go through it fast. Personas and Nanos, make 'em here.

Well, I suppose ascending a musical character would be hard since there doesn't seem to be a lot of musical geeks around for now.

I've been also thinking of working on Connor and Lt. Hank Anderson from Detroit: Become Human as Gods of Androids and Detectives. Conneor is a cutting edge android sent to assist Hank in his attempt to solve cases of androids going rogue. Hank even starts with a dislike for androids. But eventually (most of the time, since the game has story branches) they become a close knit duo.

[down] Yep, they are from Detroit.

Hey guys I’m slightly confused on what you guys just said about Magnito and Vader. Magnito has been Omega for a long while now. Remember what he did in X-Men: Apocalypse. He been near than that level for years. And Vader being weak? Are you talking about like in diety levels here in Pantheon?

Also, shouldn’t we place Hulk higher? Even at his weakest he could bust a mountain and was more powerful than the world’s military put together. I know he’s been placed as Greater god with World Breaker and Devil Hulk. But World Breaker has been directly stated to be “Stronger than any mortal and most immortals”. And Devil Hulk thunderclaped the One Below All.

[down] I actually read a comic where Vader completely destroyes a Kaiju sized alien monster. It’s the cannon Star Wars, the one where everyone gets an Adaptational Wimp. Actually, should we further mention the Legends Continuity?

I know it's been pinned but I'm gonna re-copy the levels for reference for the next few posts:

1) Magneto should be bumped up to Greater God, on the merits of being Omega, now re-confirmed with the release of an official list of Omega-level Mutants (more specifically Omega-level magnetic force manipulator).

2) I thought Vader should be a Greater God given his higher Force ability than Palpatine, which the Emperor has acknowledged. But those powers have never been used in destroying a planet or any overly large abilities so we're saying he's borderline Greater God.

3) I agree Hulk should be bumped up to Greater. He could destroy cities in his default form alone.

[down] If that's the case, maybe Markus alone should have that trope as the leader of the resistance, and then Connor can take that android-detective title.

I have applied the updates to Almaz' profile. Now comes the thing I have been sort of dreading: merging in the SK profiles. So to make it a proper suggestion:

  • Hanzo National AcademyMembers  And Homura's Crimson SquadMembers , Goddesses of [World of Buxom]
    • Reason: To quote a news article "Kagura Director Thought Of Nintendo 3DS; 3D Breasts 30 Seconds Later". The setting mostly consists of busty ninjas fighting each other. Token Mini-Moe does apply (see: Mirai).
  • Gessen Girls School's ElitesMembers  and Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy's ElitesMembers , Goddesses of Grey and Gray Morality OR Graying Morality
    • Reason: While Hanzo girls and Crimson Squad fit White and Grey Morality due of their conflict, the Gessen and Hebijo girls grey out that previous conflict, with the former being a group of Knight Templar good shinobi group and the latter being a ragtag bunch consist of a leader who wants to restore Hebijo's honour any means necessary, her devote follower, the previous girl's sister who is sort of tagging along and two potential psychos who are there to avenge their sister's death (who think that their leader killed their sister). At the end of their game they ultimately mellow out, with the former being less fanatic and more focused on being the last bastion of justice and the latter's leader now working under the idea that Good Needs Evil and the rest of the squad being more friendly towards each other. Oh yeah, and the whole "good shinobi vs. evil shinobi" thing is irrelevant since all shinobi should work together to defeat some Eldritch Abomination.

Catch it, catch you

Tell me we aren't going to fuse the Crystal Gem profiles into one profile, too. I was already surrendered to the fact that that would be impossible before and submitted to the idea of ascending the Diamond Authority for it.

If you can't get around it, go through it fast. Personas and Nanos, make 'em here.

[up] Yeah, I think we're going way too fast on the fusions here.

[down] Welcome back! Haven't seen you before. Then again I did just join up in June.

Hello everyone. Been a while since I came in here. I guess I don't really need to explain my "lack of creativity" but I do have one quick question: Whatever happened to the Pantheon's Discord server? I don't see it on my list anymore.

Anyways, I hope nobody hasn't removed my reserved entries....I know I should get working but it's not easy when both I have creative lapses and nobody wants to help me with suggestions.

Really wish I could get help on either. Anyways, hope you've all been ok.

@TPPR: Go ahead and get to merging. [tup]

@Menace: Funnily enough, I also have the idea for Nick Valentine getting the Androids and Detectives trope right here in my Sandbox. Don't know when I'll get to it though.

This time, I'm really gonna do it.
Sep 11th 2019 at 3:45:13 AM

[up]He's a decent candidate I suppose, although since Androids and Detectives is supposed to be Duo Trope, perhaps Detective Elijah Baley and R(obot) Daneel Olivaw from Isaac Asimov's Robot Trilogy, starting with The Caves of Steel, might be a better choice for the trope, since they're the Ur-Example who established many of the conventions of the trope, with each book of the trilogy examining a different facet of the relationship between robots and humans at a societal level. It's just my thoughts on the matter though.

Repost of Leina Vance, I've added the suggestions to her profile. Anything else I can add or is she good to go?

  • Lesser Goddess (possesses fighting powers on par with an Intermediate Goddess if growing serious or pushed far enough)
  • Symbol: Her sword, Edenfeld, and her buckler, placed on top of her breastplate
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (can occasionally fall into True Neutral territory if suffering from too much dismay)
  • Portfolio: Series Mascot, Badass Normal, Losing her mother when she was young, Coming from a... not-exactly-healthy royal family, Which used to rule the land, Cutting off her hair to make Braids of Action, Ran away from her family, To travel around the continent and prove herself, Heroic Self-Deprecation, Owning a nice blade, which used to belong to her mother, Having the aforementioned sword trashed then having a more powerful one later made for her, Being strong without relying on special powers, Receives unwanted attentions from many fellow female warriors, including her younger sister
  • Domains: Combat, Adventure, Tournaments, Swords, Family, Nobility
  • Allies: Noel Vermillion, Mai Shiranui, Kasumi, Emilie de Rochefort, Dizzy, Ivy Valentine, Artoria Pendragon, Merida, Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, Ryu, Kenshiro, Jonathan Joestar, Mami Tomoe, Pegasus Seiya, Shinji Ikari, Setsuna F. Seiei
  • Enemies: Geese Howard, Dio Brando, All Evil-aligned deities in the House of Leadership, Combat! and Royalty
  • Followers: Kaede
  • Leina is the middle daughter of the Vance family and heiress to the Count's throne. Her family used to rule their world, but the gods personally toppled them, reducing them to "only" average nobility, and decreed that the world was never to have a hereditary monarchy ever again, which resulted in the creation of the Queen's Blade tournament. Disliking her life as a princess, she ran away from home to follow in her mother's footsteps as a warrior, traveling the world and hoping to become a stronger warrior by entering the Queen's Blade Tournament. Ultimately, she won the Queen's Blade tournament, but decided on forfeiting the title to Claudette.
  • Following her ascension, Leina was glad to meet many fellow female warriors from worlds previously unknown to her. She was quite amazed by Noel's use of guns, as such technology did not exist in her world, and the two quickly became friends, although Noel tends to be rather insecure about her figure when comparing herself to Leina. She's also friends with fellow series mascots Mai Shiranui and Kasumi, both of whom she had already met before. She enjoys sparring with those warriors in her free time, and has earned the praises from many of them.
    • Other familiar faces whom Leina encountered were Lili de Rochefort, Dizzy and Ivy Valentine. Leina was both happy and excited to see them again and has since frequently sparred with them in order to improve her abilities.
    • Among those warriors, there was a single blonde one who took Leina by surprise, as she sounds just like her, only with a more regal undertone. It turned out that this blonde warrior was no other than Artoria, aka Saber, who had Leina bowing in respect when she learned about Artoria being not just the female incarnation of a famous king from her universe, but also a superior swordswoman. The two quickly developed a bond that is halfway between sisterly and master-disciple.
  • Leina managed to quickly get along with Merida, as neither of them wanted to stay as royalty and instead wanted to become warriors. Though Merida learned to accept her responsibilities while still wanting to have her warrior ways and became a better person because of it. On the other hand, Leina does not desire to ever resume being a princess again, having instead Shed the Family Name and chosen to travel the world.
  • Leina quickly managed to befriend Rock Howard, as she shared a lot of similarities with him, although he tends to be rather shy around her due to having grown up surrounded mainly by men. The two bonded over how they're both emotional blondes, lost their mothers at a young age (as well as their mother's names being very similar), lived between people of the same sex and had jerks for fathers, not to mention they both ended up really screwed up at the end of their respective stories. When they learned of an alternate reality in which they were in a relationship, they were both surprised and a little flustered, but nonetheless have remained on good terms. Through her friendship with Rock, she also became friends with his adoptive father Terry Bogard, who was quite impressed by her skills and the two have since then occasionally sparred together. However, Leina has also become enemies with Rock's father, Geese Howard, after learning about how the man not only abandoned his son and his wife Marie, but also turned down Rock's pleas to save his mom the very night that she died.
  • Leina has also managed to befriend several male warriors, including Ryu, Kenshiro, Jonathan Joestar and Pegasus Seiya. All of them were surprised by how, after training with them, she managed to successfully imitate their moves. Upon learning of Dio, Leina quickly developed a dislike of him and promised to help Jonathan in his fights against him if he ever needed her help.
  • During a random trip around the Pantheon in her free time, Leina almost froze in terror when she thought she heard the voice of her ever-clingy sister who harboured rather unhealthy romantic feelings towards her, only to find out that the voice belonged to a teenage girl called Mami Tomoe. What surprised Leina even more was that the girl had a surname which sounds just like the given name of one of her best friends. Having cleared out the misunderstanding, the two females became good friends and often compete: guns vs swords, ringlets vs braids, and magic vs direct combat.
  • Leina is on friendly terms with Shinji Ikari, whom she sympathised with due to having similarly almost lost her sanity after being humiliated and tortured by Werbellia's henchmen. She was, however, a bit unsettled to learn of an alternate reality in which the two entered a relationship in which she ultimately became the Top Wife in his Battle Harem. The main reason for her being uneasy about it was because of Shinji being 14. As such, she made it clear to everyone that she preferred for their relationship to stay platonic.
  • When she learned of an alternate reality in which she was the Gundam Exia, Leina sought ought Exia's pilot, Setsuna F. Seiei, in order to see what he was like. The two managed to get along and Leina strongly respects Setsuna for his desire to end all conflict and warfare.

From what I've saw while browsing, Shining Goodness doesn't have a representative. My opinion: either someone/a group in the Shining Series (like the first Shining Force) can get it or a new representative of Names to Trust Immediately can be found so that its current rep (Shining Armor) can have Shining Goodness.

That said, I also saw a vacant trope: With My Dying Breath I Summon You. Who can fit it? I might select Darksol from the Shining Force as he's the Trope Namer. You think the titular Shining Force would fit for Shining Goodness?

@TPPR: I made Almaz allies with Yugo cause he too, suffers from the environment around him be it comically or tragically.

And uh, [tup]s for both SK ideas I guess. Gessen and Hebijo should take Graying Morality cause you did explain that they mellowed out from their extreme philosophies.

@JD2K: Oh, I think we kicked you out of there cause you were inactive for a while. Feel free to ask again.

@WikiaEditor: Ange might get along with Leina since they both are ass-kicking princesses, though unlike Leina's situation Ange was scapegoated by her brother for not having magical potential, causing her citizens to lose faith in her which saddens Leina a lot. Embryo, Ange's nemesis is fascinated by her strength of character and fighting and hopes to keep her for himself along with Ange which both women were offended and alarmed at.
