Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • The very first thing any contributor should do before working on an idea or a profile is to propose and nominate the idea on the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning, a paragraph of reasoning to justify taking a trope should be sufficient. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Attempting to work on ideas without a nomination and at least one net thumbs-up will not be accepted regardless of how much you have written already. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. For reworks in particular, nominate the idea as you would with new characters or profiles. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user, either in the Pantheon or the Sandbox sections.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters. Some real-life individuals, including content creators (fictional content created by them is still fair-game, but do not bring up the creators themselves in such cases), may be considered disqualified for profiles due to controversies that would make them concern the Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment. To determine where a current creator would be disqualified:
      • Wait for at least a month after the latest significant update for a creator's controversy before any decision can be made. If a confirmation from the questioned creator (or associates) themselves occurs, then wait for a week.
      • Immediate disqualification for either a guilty sentence in a significant court case against the creator, or evidence of consistently repeated, deliberate, and/or intentionally provocative hate speech and advocacy of dehumanizing perspectives, with lesser examples warranting caution instead.
      • For creators with a clear persona of their character disclosed before any scandal, the persona can have a profile with no mentioning of their real-life information. Ambiguous existence of a persona would have to be discussed further hand for anything more decisive.
    • For obvious reasons, gods cannot be followers, high priests, or heralds. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions Expansion, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be one flavor text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like to look like Character Shilling.
    • Every troper new to the Pantheon is barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles, this means avoiding the usage of "[tup]" or "[tdown]".
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for the deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others. After all, no one is responding to their idea.
    • You can also adopt a profile or idea to work on from another contributor by messaging a request to them (preferably through private messages). Even if you get their permission, you still have to announce your adoption to the forum. Note that if the idea wasn't nominated in the first place you still have to properly nominate it.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to note in a trope example that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, correct the situation by deleting the offending text. This goes for any non-Pantheon page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Pantheon.Good And Evil Colors.
    • Do not bring things that would incite fights; hot topics and 'urgent' news are not pertinent to the Pantheon's mission. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight each other, so don't suggest things that go in that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • Please refer to Text Formatting Rules when writing a profile, since understanding how to make and edit site pages in general is a necessity for working on profiles or other Pantheon content. Additionally, if you are not experienced with English, refer to this forum page, as proper English spelling and grammar is expected.
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also, be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in another House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity at most.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part of their series' official soundtracks from the media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters' appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlight a character's behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute it to the original artist. Due to the website's dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too many bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, run the compressed image through other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikis to look for better images, as even wikis for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that make sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally an expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entirely from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well-advised not to abuse them. The only house where trope-less profiles are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
    • Do not write in self-promotion or blatant advertising. Minor references to something are fine but writing that clearly intends to advertise something will not be given toleration.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place, or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending on if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.
    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warper deities capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warper deities that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low-level Reality Warper beings capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Badass Normal citizens of the pantheon, making up for their lower status with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.
    Templates
Template for adding a new deity: God X, God/Goddess/Deity of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on the representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral, etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here; the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignments to characters that don't have an alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case the deity would be unavailable, incapacitated, dead, or otherwise incapable of carrying out their duties. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.

    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either from their perspective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly oppose or are opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects", "On Good Terms With", and/or "Commonality Connection") in terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
      • OPTIONAL NOTE FOR CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: Should the list for Character relationships (IE. Allies, Enemies, etc.) become too big, categorize a certain number of characters to a specific group putting them on a sublist (One example: Luigi is from the same world as his brother Mario, hence Luigi should be fall under the Super Mario Bros sublist.)
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part, the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This is the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis of the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.
Template for Dominions profiles: Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.
Template for Treasure profiles: The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)
  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as to where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

I'll just ask these Nightwings questions.

1. (Rukey) Anyone who worked as a smuggler to raise a family member while hiding that profession from them?

2. (Sir Gilman) Any warriors who went to self-exile due to their or their commander's shortcomings?

3. (The Stowaway) Any... odd-minded people who were cast out just for being different from the rest of society? Any who didn't decide to lash out against that society?

@Eclipse MT [tup] for Tee. Tho, kindly explain why Tee should be there with her for those unfamiliar with Puyo Puyo Tetris. Also, I got nothing on Yuki-onna. Anyone know some popular Yuki-onna? I feel like we should start from there.

@TPPR 10 Need more obviously. Mention her first ascension and descension since it was already mentioned here. Have Erika Kurumi return the title to her once she was reunited with her friends again.

@nightelf37 I'll be blunt here, I don't think you'll get your answers quickly because those are very very specific questions to ask. Like example one, you have to find a smuggler, who hide their profession and is *also* a breadwinner, who happens to be in the pantheon as well. Yeah good luck with that. However, I'll try to help you find those guys just so you wouldn't span it every two pages.

@Arle: One idea I had for a rework of her, something that I can handle later on, was to include Amite & Ringo with her, being the main characters of Puyo Puyo in addition to her. Tee (and the Tetris OC crew) also feels like a one-shot character to me.

Also, would it be possible for Atropos the Bane Elemental to take Vampiric Draining now that Dream Eater redirects to Dream Stealer (taken by Vaermina).

[up][up] Any reasoning for that?

I guess Atropos is a let less developed and his reasoning for having Dream Stealer in the past was that he ate dreams in gameplay to heal himself. I guess that's why he is being suggested for Vampiric Draining?

[up] Atropos is on the short side, so someone who knows Dota 2 can update him if possible. I'm not too familiar with that game, but in regards to Vampiric Draining, he can "steal HP with Brain Sap, mana with Fiend's Grip, and damage with Enfeeble when combined with one of his level 10 talents." (from the character page when discussing what he can do with that trope). I guess he can get a title change, and later on, someone can improve his profile.

As for Arle and the other two Puyo Puyo protagonists (Amite and Ringo), Arle's profile is a bit outdated and can be a bit more detailed. Given that Amite and Ringo are the other main protagonists of the series, I'd figured they could be included with Arle in the reworked profile.

  • Opposed by: Seto Kaiba
  • Respected by: the House of Luck and Fortune, especially in Luckiness
  • Feared by: All ascended Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists
  • While visiting Atlantica, Misty's Gyarados found three cards drifting in the water. Upon bringing the three cards to its trainer, Misty was surprised when she reported the discovery and learned that these cards were in fact Exodia cards. A combination of detective work and assistance from the House of Time And Space confirmed that they were indeed three of the five Exodia pieces that were wielded by Yugi Muto, having somehow made their way to the underwater kingdom after they were thrown into the ocean by a rival duelist and thought forever lost. While it may never be known how the cards came to be there, it doesn't change that both the Yugis were delighted to be able reunite them with the two he still possessed. They've been working to incorporate them into a deck with the Egyptian Gods, a combination that would undoubtedly be a daunting force. So far it's proven a challenging task, and in the meantime, Yami uses the Egyptian Gods while Yugi uses Exodia.
    • Katsuya Jonouchi was happy to be the one to deliver the cards to Yugi. When the cards were thrown off the ship, he jumped overboard to try and save them, but only managed to save two cards, so he's glad that his efforts didn't go completely to waste. So long as Yugi has them, there's no chance they'll be used against him like Seeker did in Battle City.
    • Who wasn't happy about seeing their return was Seto Kaiba, for whom the set of cards has become a sore point ever since Yugi first used them to defeat him. He has refused to comment on this, but shouting has been reportedly heard from outside his office ("AAAH! EXODIA!! IT'S NOT POSSIBLE!"), though he insists this is just a rumor. This has caused him to put any plans for a duel with Yugi on hold as he prepares his deck (not that Yugi was too keen on another duel, anyway). Gozaburo, who had made use of Exodia in his duel against Seto, was somewhat pleased to hear the cards had been found... until Exodia made it clear that being turned into the zombie-like Exodia Necross is not a pleasant experience. This has lead to a hostility towards Nekron for similar reasons.
  • When Exodia is whole in a player's hands, the seal binding him breaks, and nothing can save their opponent from crushing defeat. Whether against world rending eldritch abominations or almighty gods, the most supreme spells or the most well-placed traps, when Exodia is complete, his player wins instantly. Zorc Necrophades is the only soul known to have directly beat him, although in that case Exodia was limited to drawing his power from the limited energy of a single mortal. In his unsealed, complete form, his power and energy is limitless. Every duelist gets tense at the idea of facing off against the infinite force of Exodia.
  • According to Fi, the chances of drawing all five cards of Exodia in a given player's starting hand (assuming the deck uses the minimum 40 card limit) is precisely 0.000151973%note . The House of Luck and Fortune was left awestruck at these odds, and anyone who manages to legitimately achieve this is automatically awarded with a plaque in Luckiness, and Yugi allows anyone who asks nicely to try for the honor. Among the first to ask was Eric Cartman, who immediately stole Yugi's deck with the Exodia cards when he was (politely) denied, prompting Stan Marsh to be the first in the Pantheon to pull off the accomplishment to beat Eric in a game, winning it back.
  • Outside of obligatory circumstances, Exodia's full power remains sealed, and the cards he's sealed within are kept safe with Yugi. However, as with all card spirits in the Pantheon, pantheonic magic allows his spirit to roam the Pantheon outside his cards, but in a weakened state.
    • As fellow card spirits, he has gotten along with Kuriboh, Dark Magician Girl and Yubel. Kuriboh and Dark Magician Girl are both established cards in Yugi's deck (although the Pantheon is where he first met the latter, as she didn't get added until after Duelist Kingdom), and Yubel has been known to use decks themed around him and his variants. His friendship with Kuriboh is amusing considering that when unsealed he's one of the strongest monsters in all the game, while Kuriboh is among the weakest.
  • Feels a strong kinship with Osiris (The actual Egyptian god, not the Sky Dragon), who, after he was torn to pieces by his brother Set, was reassembled and restored by his wife, Isis. Rarely does Exodia identify with a story well enough for it to move him to tears, but that did it.
  • As his cards had been drifting in the sea for an unknown amount of time, it does not come off as a surprise to many that Exodia is a little unhappy about it. As a result, Exodia isn't exactly fond of water, creating a natural aversion the House of Water and Moisture. As the duelist who threw the cards into the sea is known to use an insect themed deck, the House of Insects has earned some of Exodia's ire.

In another few hours, the sun will rise.

  • A survivor of the Fuyuki Fire who was rescued by Kiritsugu Emiya, Shirou Emiya is a second-year high school student at Homurahara Academy, willing to help anyone if they need it. His life fatefully changed the day Lancer attacked him at the school yard when he's saved by the Servant Saber. Since then, in three different timelines he goes through unique harsh trials and tribulations that challenge his ideals he inherited from his adoptive father and ultimately learn from them to become a greater hero.
    • After his adventures, he is later chosen for the position of God of Spontaneous Weapon Creation due to his sword-based magic utilizing this when summoning copies of every legendary weapon, which he accepts willingly. Now in the Trope Pantheons, Shirou Emiya resolves to do more good than before.
  • Shirou and the girls that loved him have been around for a while since the early days of the Trope Pantheons, and it's only a matter of time until he asked for his old-looking temple to be renovated into the mansion Taiga lets him live in (based on a real place to boot!). Until now Saber, Rin, Sakura, Rider and Illya hang out there very often for unique reasons, but mostly to show Shirou some love; it's saddening that he refuses to fathom why would anyone love him with all of their heart and make him theirs forever when they're comically busy fighting each other over him.
Artoria: That's not true, Shirou. I think you too, deserve some love.
Rin: I mean after showing us some kindness, isn't it right to return them?
    Sakura: Romantic or otherwise?
Shirou: *sigh* ...Guess it can't be helped then.
    • Of course at times, it gets chaotic very quickly; like when Illya put a sleep spell on Shirou so that they could nap together and she and Rin ended up fighting while Artoria stood there stupefied. Also after some pestering Artoria, Rin and Sakura (and maybe Rider) are forced to admit that yes, they did some "mana transferring" with Shirou quite often; the House of Love are having some infighting over which girl will truly win over his heart, though Shirou and the girls refuse to partake in them because of how hectic they can be.
    • He finds Taiga to be the same as usual once they reunited... until he heard about her becoming Jaguar Man and becoming fascinated about her adventures under that name. His other friends who were involved with Chaldea one way or another kinda know about it already.
    • He reunited with his father Kiritsugu when he and his wife Irisviel was visiting Illya at long last and was surprised and happy to see his father once again. Kiritsugu is so proud of his growth, even commending him for throwing away his ideals to save Sakura (well, they are kind of unhealthy anyway and thankfully, Shirou hasn't crossed to the Chaotic Neutral point which would make him become just like, or maybe even worse than, his father). Irisviel took a liking to Shirou and proclaims herself his new mother figure; Shirou never had a proper mother figure since losing his birth parents in the Fuyuki Fire, so he's ecstatic to bond with her. Of course, she will not bring up her other self's tendency to sell off pictures of him to potential suitors...
    • A little girl who looked like Illya approached Shirou, who started to realized this one is different. After clearing the air, they have no problem getting along though the only problem is that the original Illya tolerating her for once without resorting to bullying her. The magical girl Illya then introduce Shirou to her friend Miyu Edelfelt who is instantly reminded of her own Shirou who did care for her when her father didn't and it takes a while for her to differentiate him for her own and Illya's own Shirous. He says to Miyu that her brother is a great guy and promises her that she'll continue her better life here in the Pantheons, earning a smile from her face.
    • He was surprised to see Berserker being both lucid and subdued for once and he was a good guy overall, enough for Shirou to properly befriend him and see all of his heroic might in action. Lancer continues his buddy-buddy antics with the inexperienced mage like before and Shirou is still glad the Celtic hero likes him enough to do. He hopes that here in the Pantheons, Caster & Kuzuki find true happiness in their marriage as long as it doesn't involve killing people for once.
    • Shirou had a sour reunion with Archer. For one, Archer is glad Shirou is doing his best to not be like him but for another, he's annoyed that he's still hanging onto his ideals in spite of learning his lessons from them; Shirou himself is not pleased with Archer who despite finally becoming kinder since their last meeting, still feels the need to be a jerk to him. Nowadays, they agree to maintain a distance between each other and handle problems in their own domains (Shirou with his domestic lifestyle, Archer with Chaldea) because if they happen to meet, you'll be bound to see them argue with each other, pettily or dramatically. Prepare yourself once they actually do team up cause you'll be in for a world of hurt if they do.
  • As a fellow believer of being a "Hero of Justice", he became fast friends with Siegfried. Shirou has noted him to sound like his future self, just being more idealistic like him and passable than Archer. Siegfried then introduced him to Sieg (the homunculus he saved) and Jeanne who guided Sieg throughout his adventure. While he and Sieg perfectly got along talking about heroism, morality and the blonde girls they love dearly, Shirou initially finds Jeanne unimpressive with her flag-based Noble Phantasm in addition to mistaking her for Artoria and Napoléon Bonaparte (yes, really) during that one time he partnered with her. Later on, he does take a liking to her and sees her as more than looking like Saber, which Jeanne is relieved at; she is already getting tired of people looking like her.
    • Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain thought their king was being dishonoured by Shirou due to clinging onto him lately. Gawain in particular sees him as a rival in culinary arts and courting his king, though Shirou internally snarks that it's gonna take more than just making bad mashed potatoes and flirting with flowers to truly ever get on Artoria's good graces. Depsite the knights' rivalry towards him, other times they truly got along and Shirou's disappointed that they won't last long. Merlin is a lot more accepting of Shirou since all Artoria needed is someone else besides him to become her own person again; Shirou might be off putted by his Trickster Mentor antics but knows that deep down, Merlin does care despite his claims of not truly feeling human emotions. On a lighter side, the three often jokingly call Shirou "My queen" just for taking a House Husband role to their king which often exasperates him.
    • Shirou then meets Mordred, Artoria's "son". He does have some pity for her and her past, but he refuses to let her carry out any revenge against the King of Knights. That said, he would like the two of them to reconcile and has offered his aid on several occasions. Mordred actually proclaimed she's behind her vengeance now, since all she wanted was to lessen her "father's" burden and truly wished her happiness, so because of that she accepts their relationship... though she warned him that he would suffer if she ever caught him being unfaithful to Artoria... or even hurting her in some fashion. That's her job. For now, like her "father" she's enjoying his cooking.
Mordred: So should I call you "mother", then?
Shirou: Err... you don't have to.
    • On one grocery run, he eventually met Saber's original counterpart King Arthur Pendragon who also happened to enjoy cooking as well since taking care of his Master, Ayaka. Shirou obviously admires Arthur since he can be considered a "Hero of Justice" while Arthur noted that Shirou may be mentally stronger than Ayaka but also far more broken so they became confidants. They also unite under the threat of Sir Mordred, which Shirou is surprised at the fact that they weren't really related in the beginning until their later tales as opposed to the Mordred who often visits him.
    • Saber then introduced Shirou to the Master of Chaldea who was interested in why she treasured him so much. Sure enough, they hit it off perfectly well and Ritsuka fills him in on Chaldea's missions which makes Shirou finds Ritsuka to be a perfect "Hero of Justice". On a more mundane note, Ritsuka notes he last saw Shirou while he was possessed by Sengo Muramasa who may or may not be his ancestor; Shirou barely remembers the Shimosa Pseudo-Singularity's events but he is a lot more intrigued with Muramasa being a match with him.
      Shirou: (thinking) Muramasa-san, huh...
  • Shirou's creator said that he and Shiki Tohno can never work together because of their conflicting personalities. Sure enough, they may be idealistic heroes but their differing methods rub each other the wrong way and they find themselves arguing quite often. Despite that, the two once tried to work together to decide whether they should try and go on a date with all their potential love interests or just date the main one. No matter what they chose, it would end in disaster and all they could do was sigh.
  • He loves cooking for Saber at home, even having his recipes shown off for all to see. The House of Food, mostly Gordon Ramsay is looking to hire him for his culinary feats, though Shirou only accepts part-time jobs since he has to help around Elysium Academy as well. Chef Ramsay doesn't mind his schedule, though he's a bit disappointed that not everybody will have a chance to enjoy his cooking.
    • Even a good guy like Shirou can't even stand Mystery Food X, because when he heard about it from the Investigation Team, he Face Palmed. He did try to teach Chie, Yukiko and Rise proper cooking preparations but after his lessons, they still fall into old habits. Shirou is still not giving up on them.
  • The Master of Saber has befriended a lot of Kamen Riders since they too deal with the problems of heroism and the moralities of their homeworlds. Noteworthy mentions including Emu who is capable of saving numerous lives and Shirou seeks to do the same, Takeru who also can befriend and bond with Heroic Spirits, Kouta and Shinji for reluctantly fighting in a battle royale and trying to stop them from happening again, Haruto for bringing hope to everyone by saving them from their despair (at the cost of stripping them of their magic potential) which Shirou is glad to not do again, Shouichi for being a fellow Amnesiac Hero though Shirou doesn't actively search for his former identity, Yusuke for valuing everyone much like him and Hongo & Ichimonji gives him advice on how to become a proper hero and getting through its painful journey.
    • Shirou also became friends with Eiji Hino when the two found out that they both went through a tragic event that caused them to become empty inside and devoted themselves to helping others, and to lack self-worth. The same goes for the Pretty Cure, Akira Kenjou minus the traumatic event; Shirou and Eiji notes that Akira often overexert herself a lot whenever she's helping around and when the three help around during volunteer work, they'll be making sure she gets enough rest.
  • Struck up a great friendship with Peter Parker. They found common ground in wanting to help people and having a traumatic past that defines who they are. They also both had their ideals deconstructed at one point and also notice that they sometimes sound alike. Together, they fight side by side while they snark at their enemies, internally AND externally. Through Spidey, Shirou gets to meet Optimus Prime, Superman, Captain America and Ultraman who all help him show that paragons of virtue are possible.
    • He also relates a lot with Riku Asakura with the whole "refusing to stand by" philosophy as well as Miles Morales with both of them slowly learning about their powers and later master them down the line. Both of them are saddened that Shirou only finds satisfaction in helping people and nothing else, so they are having him take a break by hanging out around the Pantheons.
    • On the subject of similar voices, he shares another voice with Meliodas. They later talk and they have a lot of common ground, most notably being naturally Nice Guys who don't want to hurt anyone innocent and being internally sad despite having it all. Shirou would like him a lot more if he stops looking up Tohsaka's skirt and making bad food but other than that, they're good in each other's books.
  • While helping around at Elysium Academy, Shirou stumbled upon Issei Hyodo while the latter was on his way to Rias' temple. After clearing a mix-up involving his name with a fellow Homurahara student, they got along pretty well though Shirou gets easily flustered when Issei keeps pushing the issue of his "harem". Later on, Issei introduce him to the other known Chick Magnets of the Pantheons, with noteworthy interactions, including Touma and being interested in his ability to negate magic, being a mentor of sorts to Hayate and Negi and trying to ease tensions between Lux and Ichika. Ichika as well as Shido also got along well with Shirou normally, with the three sharing recipes and house-chore tips during their downtimes.
  • A Holy Grail War is one thing but a war between dimensions is a whole lot of trouble which is why he feels bad for the situations of Yuya Sakaki, Yuzu Hiiragi and Yuma Tsukumo. Yuya and Yuzu's war was started because Professor Leo Akaba wanted his daughter back and did so as a cover-up to kidnap Yuzu and her counterparts for that which Shirou can't help but feel pity for; Yuma's war is a standard Order Versus Chaos conflict but he notes that his friends' temporary deaths struck very hard for everyone involved, further saddening the swordsman.
    • Through Kiritsugu, Shirou gets to know Yuji Sakai and how he stops a destructive never-ending war happening in his world. They do get along, but Shirou is worried that Yuji is another glimpse into what he would become if he takes risky and even outright disagreeable actions for the greater good though Yuji knows Shirou can pull off his ideals if he can. Ragna the Bloodedge also stopped his world's disasters to give his friends and beloved normal lives but he did so by sacrificing himself and taking away their memories of him; Shirou is sad it turned out this way but he learned to accept that what's done is done. Until then, he and Ragna bond over barbeque recipes.
    • Ragna then introduces Shirou to Hyde Kido who in many ways is just like him, in cooking, getting dragged in a bigger fate and attracting a number girls towards them. Nowadays, Hyde joins Shirou in cooking for their respective housemates whenever all of them get together every once in a while and joins him should any threat comes in their way.
  • The budding swordsman vows that as a hero, he would protect the weak and that includes Chihiro Fujisaki. Chihiro has gone through unspeakable bullying due to his tiny stature for a boy to the point of being forced to crossdress to stop it all; upon hearing this, Shirou's mood deflated since no one was there to protect him so he vows to Chihiro that it will change by being there with him. The young programmer is happy to hear that, but is also worried with how far the soon-to-be Hero of Justice will go for his ideals.
  • For unknown reasons, Ahri would sometimes be seen going into Shirou's place, eating his cooking. He doesn't really mind her coming over. The girls, however, don't really like her spending that much time with Shirou, especially Sakura and Illya.
  • Like him, Jin Kisaragi also has a future self who is miles more experienced and impressive than their present self. Unlike him, Jin is a Jerkass who also dismiss Shirou's ideals as child's play; because of this they can't even get along well not even in a mission together. Sayaka Miki has an ability similar to Unlimited Blade Works which does impress him and Archer but if there's one of the things they both agree upon, it's that Sayaka is going to be a lot of work since despite fighting for good, her Irrational Hatred against Homura Akemi is very troubling (and Shirou himself is willing to stop Homura though he leaves the redemption-inducing part to Ritsuka). "Jetstream" Sam Rodrigues, upon hearing that Muramasa once posessed him (and his sword is called well... Muramasa), often instigate fights with Shirou in hopes of bringing him out; Shirou is annoyed at these attempts though he did feel bad that Sam also lost his ideals of justice not unlike Archer.
  • A Hero of Justice also needs to have enemies to fight and it's an Understatement to say that he's not happy to see Gilgamesh and Kirei Kotomine again, not after Gil trying to have Saber for himself in one timeline and trying to engulf the world to bring some worthy souls with him in another as well as Kotomine starting the Fuyuki Fire and causing Sakura to fall into darkness and become a vessel of Angra Mainyu. Gilgamesh angrily sneers at him, knowing that he was bested by a mongrel who can match him with imitations and is looking for another fight with him in hopes of finally gloating about it again as opposed to Kotomine being rather delighted to see him again; the swordsman called it a shame that despite being on opposite sides they were both broken men who find happiness in others, an idea not lost on Kotomine. Shirou also hates Zouken and Shinji Matou for ruining Sakura's life through unspeakable means, not helped by the fact that he used to be friends with Shinji. Avenger can't help but admit to Shirou that impersonating him was a blessing, which while ashamed by that assessment, still does not quell Shirou's anger at him over trying to strip Sakura from being truly happy and using her to bring himself into the world.
    • Seeing as they are Evils of Humanity that are needed to be vanquished, Shirou is ready to take on the Beasts. Goetia recognizes traits in him that are also present in the Master of Chaldea, and groans in disappointment that he's going to deal with it again while Tiamat is largely indifferent to him, seeing him as one of the many children she refuses to let go. Kiara finds him a perfect boy toy which also amuses her that he was the former identity of EMIYA Alter, a view that even Shirou is horrified at not to mention her endgoal of a world-ending orgy.
    • BB sees a lot of Hakuno in Shirou, and out of respect for (and not get killed by) Sakura she is currently playing nice to him; not that it matters since Shirou still has a bad feeling she's gonna stir up trouble yet again.
  • Aldia, who doesn't like Saber already for being an incompetent king extends his ire to Shirou not just for joining her in their "mana transferring" as well as insulting his ideals, finding them to be impossible to achieve and thinks Shirou should just give up and die but also compared him to Queen Nashandra who gets King Vendrick killed to gain the throne for herself, thinking he's the same as her. With two of his buttons pressed and insulted at the comparison to an evil queen, Shirou refuses to ever consider Aldia another living being again.
  • The swordsman-in-training hates Dio Brando and Apocalypse because of their destructive arrogance and extreme survivalist views respectively reminds him of Gilgamesh in addition to their potential world-threatening abilities. The villains themselves disregard him, thinking that his abilities will never rise to their level regardless of him getting even stronger. He also opposes Ryoma Sengoku for his callous personality, unspeakable scientific ethics and Lack of Empathy towards others, and the feeling is mutual with Sengoku sneering at his heroism yet interested in his abilities and so he is currently trying to fit magecraft into his plans.
  • Megatron sees him as like the human companion Spike, only more annoying with the talk about heroics though it doesn't change the fact that he's allies with Prime and Ritsuka and his potential is enough to take down even him. The Kamen Riders have warned Shirou about the threats of SHOCKER, and Shinji specifically warned him about Shiro Kanzaki which the Master of Saber agrees to look out for. Besides the obvious same given name, Shirou is very conflicted towards Kanzaki since he started a war between Riders to resurrect his dead little sister Yui which is both unforgivable and at the same time, understandable.
  • Shirou may have said some... questionable remarks to a few girls out of not thinking straight, but at least he's miles above such scum like Embryo, Akio Ohtori and Griffith whose unforgivable crimes against women has earned eternal scorn from the swordsman. All three think of him as an insignificant obstacle to their ambitions.
    • On the subject of irredeemable evils, Shirou extends his hate of them towards Yuki Terumi, Evolto, Dr. Weil and Zamasu for reasons everybody has already heard of at this point. Terumi became motivated to break his spirit and is determined to do what Angra didn't to him, Evolto finds his ideals a prime example that humans will be forever foolish, Weil doesn't care and Zamasu thinks a mere NINGEN with straw-grasping ideals like him cannot compare to a Supreme Kai and his law; Shirou is still determined to take them down in spite of their opinions. Thing got a little more personal with Zamasu after he learned a few things he has done, namely the fact that him personifying Goku and stealing his identity by becoming Goku Black reminded him of Avenger doing the same with him and the fact that he embodies the worst aspects of Kotomine and Gilgamesh, which automatically makes him much worse.
    • Abusive Parents also won't escape his eyes that easily too like Professor Hojo, Relius Clover, Tenjuro Banno, Fire Lord Ozai, Dr. Sofia Lamb, Ragyo Kiryuin and the rest of the Child Abuse Supporters ever since Kiritsugu once ranted endlessly about them. The aforementioned also see him as very naive and too absorbed in their own plans to think that he might defeat them one day.
  • For the longest time, Shirou only has the vaguest idea that the mages of his multiverse are cold-hearted and have no consideration towards others so Kiritsugu pointed him to Isaac Westcott, Dormammu and Zobek to give him a clearer picture. Already, Westcott wanting to kill every muggle as retribution for destroying his village, Dormammu wanting to conquer the main universe and Zobek wanting power from The God Mask (not to mention being a Fallen Hero) are enough to convince Shirou of said idea and that these people need to be stopped once and for all, something Kiritsugu agrees.
  • Shirou has largely learned his lessons of the toxicity of his ideals in two timelines and keeps them to heart while still carrying them out carefully. Still, the fact that in one of the timelines he threw them away to save Sakura from self-destructing, the Hero Killer Stain feels the need to call him a joke of a hero regardless of the aforementioned reason. Shirou in turn hates him for idealizing heroism the wrong way even for Shirou's standards and killing other heroes to carry out his dangerous mission cements Stain as an enemy to him entirely.
    • Stain's anger once reached an apex and assaulted Shirou on his way back from the Academy. Shirou holds Stain off on his own, enough for Deku and All Might to chase him off though Stain proclaims this will not be the last time they'll meet. Shirou thanked the two and they talked on the way to his temple. They share each other stories and Deku & All Might were saddened that Shirou is empty inside without anything else to live for than heroism, so they vow to help him be the "Hero of Justice" he so wanted to be, which Shirou feels flattered about.
  • Dark Danny and Kessler are so unhinged that they make Archer look kinder in comparison, and they are among the enemies that makes him and Archer truly put aside their differences and resolve to defeat them. They see Shirou as much like what their past selves were like, but still equate him to yet another stepping stone to their goals.
  • He once strolled around the rest of the House of Weapons to take a break until he stumbled upon an albino girl practising her Spontaneous Weapon Creation of blades and other crazy stuff she can do with them. Downright impressed, he approached Weiss and called her moves awesome which given that she has No Social Skills, was utterly puzzled by his compliment yet nonetheless gave an awkward thanks to him. They kept in touch every once in a while, enough for the girls to at least be okay with her as long as she doesn't get comfortable with staying over his temple.
  • Sometimes people would remind Shirou of his ''people die when they are killed'' quote and make fun of how that quote sound stupid. Of course, most don't realize this was a response to Shirou giving Artoria back Avalon, her magic sheath that houses Excalibur and has a Healing Factor, which was inside Shirou and healing any wounds he was inflicted. He was just saying that once someone is killed, they stay dead. Despite most people understanding the context completely, they're still gonna make jokes about it anyway; even Shirou has given up on justifying it and often joins in on them.
  • Stays far away from the sub-houses of Lustful Acts and Lustful Behavior for two reasons; one is that most of the gods will tell him to "jam it in" when it comes to sex, and the other is partaking in the House of Love's Ship-to-Ship Combat between him and the girls, which gets tiring really quickly. A third reason came up where they tell him to get that harem ending which caused him to stammer like crazy.
  • "Even if my life is full of hypocrisy, I'll keep on striving to become a hero of justice!"

EMIYA, God of Weapon Imitations (Archer, Shirou Emiya, GARcher, Counter Guardian, The Hero of Justice, The Blacksmith Heroic Spirit, Wrought Iron Hero, Faker, MamaMIYA)

  • Good Counterpart to: Kessler
  • Commonality Connection with: Orga Itsuka
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Shirou Emiya (his younger self), Cu Chulainn/Lancer, Medea Kuzuki/Caster
  • Abhorrent Admirer: Meltlilith
  • The Counter Guardian Servant of Rin Tohsaka irregularly summoned into the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War who claims to not remember anything from his past life. That was a lie, as he is actually an alternate future self of Shirou Emiya who is finding the perfect opportunity to kill his younger self to escape his miserable fate. Later on, after their fight he does learn that even though Shirou can't let go of his ideals completely he still can change his future to not be like Archer who fades away content with the fact that Shirou might not turn out like him anytime soon once the Holy Grail War ended.
    • He has been chosen for the title of God of Weapon Imitations due to perfectly copying Noble Phantasms of legendary heroes and use their full effects without fulfilling their chosen wielder requirements. Archer feels the title sound great and has a nice ring to it, so he accepts it and his position is cemented into the Trope Pantheons.
  • As of the Grand Order Grail Wars, Archer has become a more relaxed and idealistic person, and is more willing to reveal his true identity. As a side effect of fighting alongside Chaldea, he also started to help in the House of Food, though he's never there if Shirou is present.
    • Chef Ramsay is delighted that EMIYA fills in for his past self, though he makes sure they both argue outside should they cross each other's paths. He also have to tutor Tomoe Gozen in improving her culinary skills, who admits that he's far better of a tutor than Ramsay and Beni-Enma.
  • Visits his Master Rin Tohsaka on occasion, mostly to make sure she hasn't melted the universe into a sea of anti-time by mistake again. Oddly enough, these visits often end in multiple explosions. There are other people who are dirty-minded enough to think that it's something more...
    • When Kiritsugu first ascended in the pantheon, only a smile came on his face.
    • He may not look like it, but he does treasure Illyasviel in his heart. Illya herself felt strangely okay with being around Archer, though unlike everyone else, she hasn't figured it out yet. The same can be said about her magical girl counterpart, though she finds him strange since he keeps watching her from afar and expects him to be more open about it; EMIYA still feel both Illyas are not ready for such a painful truth to be revealed.
    • Was glad when the Master of Chaldea finally ascended and was the one cooking for his ascension party. Exhausting, but worth it to see his other Master again.
    • He and Saber at first antagonized each other, with their philosophies clashing greatly though later on, she learned about his true identity and began to reduce her hostilities towards him once realizing that they both have similar previous lives. Nowadays, they are pretty civil towards each other especially when working around Chaldea, and Saber couldn't help but fondly see his younger self in him. Red Saber, mostly known as Nero initially mistaken him for his counterpart Nameless but began to grow to like him as another separate person while EMIYA is often exasperated by her antics.
    • Despite now being on the same side, he and Lancer still have a slight problem of fighting whenever they get within sight range of each other. It's not that they dislike each other; Lancer just refuses to let a fight go unfinished, and Archer feels the same about letting Lancer think that he won. Same thing with Caster, who is still not letting him live down his betrayal towards her.
    • He's not shocked when a voice similar to his was heard from Siegfried, but EMIYA is nevertheless annoyed. After clinging to the idea of being a 'Hero of Justice' got him stabbed in the back, he couldn't fathom why he still kept believing it. After some thought later, he realizes he has no room to talk since he also made peace with his ideals.
    • He has also taken a liking to Chloe and has been seen training with her. "The Triple-Linked Crane Wings are just as much her technique as it is mine," he was quoted as saying. Despite Chloe having a lot of similarities to him, she kinda distrusts him since she previously fought a being very much like him. She sees that he hasn't changed a lot and refuses to call him a big brother; not that he cares, at least he has a little sister figure to look after (and a troublesome one at that but he'll manage them).
  • Archer was very critical at the idea of being a "Hero of Justice" for quite a while, and it takes him being stopped from killing his past self and later give some thought about said ideals that despite them giving him so much misery in his life, it is still incredibly worthwhile to hold onto them. This ends him up with Jetstream Sam and Soldier 76 who had their idealism shattered by major turning points in their lives much like him; Sam didn't fully make peace with his ideals because he did so while dying to Raiden but appreciates the relations he shared with Archer, and so they both became Friendly Rivals in swordsmanship while Morrison also to him in not wanting to admit clinging onto his past ideals at first and Archer gives his full support to Morrison finding whoever's responsible for Overwatch's downfall.
    • He's also got some physical and ideological similarities to Orga Itsuka, namely that both of them are Dark Skinned Blondes (somewhat), know that their job isn't the best yet do it because of their ideals, and that their ideals led to tragedy. They share their sympathies towards each other though EMIYA feels his leadership skills needs some working, which Orga says he got that covered now that lessons are open to him. You can see him and Mikazuki grabbing their lunch from EMIYA every once in a while which the Archer Servant commented that the kid needs more food to eat other than snacks all the time.
  • He was out practising his archery one day, when stumbled upon Kung Jin also practising. They both gotten along not just for archery, but also the fact that everyone, even the men are throwing themselves at them for how gorgeous they look. Kung Jin joked they should start seeing each other, before Archer clarifies his orientation which makes Jin quickly disregard the idea entirely.
  • As a Counter Guardian, he is tasked to carry out the will of the Counter Force, an anti-destruction force that responds to an event that threatens humanity should said event requires direct intervention. So far, Archer's tasks to stop them has yet to be revealed and it is unclear if some of them are temporal. Nonetheless, the Pantheonic Time Police have acquainted themselves with him through Ritsuka due to his contributions to Chaldea not as a Counter Guardian, but as a Servant which they praised him for. The member he got along with better is Future Trunks, as they too suffer a lot from their original timelines and were annoyed at their younger selves for being reckless and naive, though Archer is envious that Trunks reconciled with his mainline self, unlike his own where they don't give themselves opportunities to do the same.
    • The Dahaka is pretty much angry at Archer since he did everything he can to find a way to get to his younger self which technically violates his job as a Counter Guardian. Likewise, Archer doesn't like him as well and glad that a being like the Dahaka didn't chase him back when he first got himself summoned into the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War.
  • Aside from sharing their mutual dislike of their past selves and loss of loved ones leading to tragedy, he and Hakumen respected each other as Worthy Opponents, occasionally dueling when they have the time. He won't admit this to anyone, but he feels that Hakumen is what he thinks what a "Hero of Justice" should be. Likewise, he wishes to test Vergil's skills some day... whenever he's free since right now, he's doing the Might Makes Right thing; that kind of mentality is something Archer can't agree ever, which is another reason why he wants the fight to happen.
    • With his jerkish facade hiding true kindness and similar colour schemes (minus the skin colour), he got compared very often with Ragna the Bloodedge. They did meet up at the House of Food and ended up relating more over sacrificing a lot for their worlds. Ragna is bummed that Archer's sacrifice bring more sorrow and tragedy for him than anything, but Archer refuted that doesn't matter cause his ideals are worth the spiritual pain he endured to which Ragna conceded by saying, "Heh. Fair enough."
    • Sayaka Miki impressed him and Shirou with her abilities that were identical to their "Unlimited Blade Works" but she rubs them the wrong way when she goes too far with her Irrational Hatred towards Homura note . The fact that she initially became a Magical Girl just to grant her wish of wanting to be with her crush she so attach herself with who don't even love her back in the first place cements her as bad, if not worse than Shirou and his raw ideals.
  • Gilgamesh and Kotomine are not happy with his arrival, Gil especially since in one timeline one arrow from Archer was enough to kill him and let the Black Grail swallow him whole and Gil sees it as a big insult and injustice and Kotomine less so who nonetheless still recognize that their next alliances will not be solid anymore. Avenger is the kind of threat he is tasked to exterminate as part of his Counter Guardian duties, but because he got summoned as a Servant, he barely has any advantage though that doesn't stop him from antagonizing him and also he looks like Shirou.
Avenger: Yeesh! What's with you and your past self?! I just look like him!
    Archer: *drawing out bow* Exactly.
    • As his herald Nameless have fought her and he himself also did later, he's very wary towards B.B. and is preparing in case she pulls another stunt like she did back at the Moon Cell. He also had to deal with Meltlilith yet again, who won't stop chasing him around.
    • Regardless of being a Heroic Spirit or a Counter Guardian, Archer is determined to take down the Beasts before they destroy the world yet again. He has a beef with Kiara (AKA Beast III/R) in particular for corrupting an Alternate Self of him into EMIYA Alter and refuses to let the same fate befall on him again.
  • EMIYA finds Balrog and Relius Clover to be unlikable people, with Balrog prioritizing money and selling out his former organization he used to worked for and Relius treating his family like dirt For Science! makes them enemies that need to be vanquished in his eyes. The fact that both he, Balrog and Relius Clover share the same voice is also what shocks him so much.
  • Enemies of time are on his shitlist and not just because of his occupation in Chaldea such as Boris the Animal, Eobard Thawne and Z-ONE. Boris tries to appeal to his hatred of his past self, but EMIYA knows better since he did made some peace with Shirou while Boris made no such attempt. Thawne vows to destroy Chaldea and its sole Master so that humanity is forever doomed and EMIYA is NOT letting that happen. He opposes Z-ONE despite not being a future self of Yusei Fudo and groans when Z-ONE explained his well-intentioned reasons, which the former feels it will take a lifetime to perfectly achieve that.
    • On the subject of alternate future selves, EMIYA can be seen as the Good Counterparts to Dark Danny and Kessler since while all three are future selves with disdain for their past selves, Dark Danny and Kessler are so unhinged that they make EMIYA look kinder in comparison and one that he hates. He'll never forgive them for trying to break the spirits of their past selves, even if Kessler does want to die like EMIYA once wanted. Dark Danny cares less for the Archer Servant finding him to be ineffectual and Kessler calls it unfortunate that despite the common ground, they became enemies instead.
  • Fallen heroes get even less respect than naive ones, mostly because they spit on the face on heroism and turn their back on it once they found satisfaction in evil and those people are Kamen Rider Eternal, Plutonian and Handsome Jack though the latter is convinced he's still a hero. All three couldn't care for Archer, but are willing to fight should he intervene.
    • The Joker is no stranger to corrupting heroes to the point they're the complete opposite of who they used to be and upon hearing of the existence of EMIYA Alter, he's finding a way to ascend him just to screw with Archer, who again is not letting that happen ever.
  • Not to be confused with Sterling Archer nor Jonathan Archer. He has yet to comment about them.
  • "The wish of wanting everyone to be happy is merely a fairy tale!"

Repost of the Fawful rework. Any suggestions?

Fawful, God of Intentional Engrish for Funny (Gerakobittsu)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fawful_bis.png
  • Demigod (Intermediate God as Dark Fawful)
  • Symbol: A flag of his face, with emphasis on his glasses and teeth
  • Theme Music: His Name Is Fawful, Fawful is Here, Dark Fawful in battle.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • tups 1(kingvideogames)
  • Portfolio: Badass Bookworm, Dragon Ascendant, Gadgeteer Genius, comparative speech patterns, "I have fury!", Ensemble Dark Horse, saying "doom" a lot, Squishy Wizard, putting his symbol everywhere out of egotism, Not-So-Harmless Villain
  • Domains: Language, Confusion, Memes
  • Herald: Midbus
  • Follower: Fawful's Minion
  • Allies: Dr. Eggman, Antasma, GIR, Porky Minch, Kefka Palazzo
  • Enemies: Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Bowser Jr., The Koopalings, The Toads, E. Gadd, Nostalgia Critic, Linkara
  • Opposed by: All Mooks, particularly those of Super Mario Bros., Erinys, The Vivid Team
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Dimentio
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Nero
  • Out of all the foes that threatened the Mushroom Kingdom, Fawful stands out as one of the...oddest. Starting out as the witch Cackletta's lackey, Fawful would constantly get in the way of the Mario Bros. during their quest to save the Beanbean Kingdom, spouting utter nonsense during each encounter. Even after the demise of his boss, Fawful still persisted; laying low as a merchant during the Shroob invasion until rising up as a Big Bad in his own right. This entailed spreading the Blorb virus, takeover of Bowser's Castle and attempt to harness the power of the Dark Star to wreak havoc on the Mushroom Kingdom.
  • It was during this event that the gods quickly recognized just how utterly nonsensical his speech patterns and idioms were; making his ascension under Intentional Engrish for Funny a no brainer.
  • Surprisingly, Fawful's speech is far more comprehensible whenever he speaks in Japanese, in which he only adds "~Fururururu!" to the end of his sentences.
  • While he's earned the ire of the entire Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, and King Bowser are on the top of Fawful's Fink-Rat List. The mere mention of those three in any context is enough to give him fury. He's currently plotting another scheme to get his revenge on them.
  • Fawful has earned the ire of every Mook in the Pantheon after forcibly brainwashing all of Bowser's minions into serving him twice.
  • Although he prefers staying in his standard form, Fawful still has the ability to transform into Dark Fawful if needed.
  • With their burning hatred for their respective good guys, combined with their own technological prowess, Fawful and Dr. Eggman have become good friends. It helps that they both have experience using evil primordial beings for their own gain.
    • Similarly, he's formed an alliance with Antasma, since they both hate Bowser. Though Antasma is hesitant to team up with Fawful, especially after hearing how Fawful coveted the Dark Star.
    • While one would think that Fawful would also get along with Dimentio, due to their shared grudge against the Bros. and Bowser, their massive egos put themselves at odds with each other; both of them wanting a world in their image. While they do maintain a tentative alliance, they're both waiting for an opportunity to stab the other in the back.
  • With his tendency to put his face on every Mook under his command and all of his inventions, as well as his creating plays made to honor himself, Fawful stands as one of the most egotistical deities in the Pantheon.
    • Speaking of ego, Fawful has found himself clashing with Nero over who's the better stage performer. Of course, both ignore the fact they could only get an audience for their shows through brainwashing and kidnapping respectively.
  • He has managed to hit it of quite well with other rpg villains, such as Porky Minch and Kefka, namely due to them being fellow egomaniacal Dragon Ascendants with a perchance for destruction. His relationship with the later isn't hurt by how much their characters were transformed overseas and became more popular because of it.
  • He's also seems to enjoy GIR's company; greatly enjoying his Doom Song. GIR meanwhile, enjoys Fawful's company due to his eccentricities reminding him a lot of Zim. Despite this, Fawful is uninterested in working with Zim, seeing him as too chaotic even for him.
  • Erinys would like to remind everyone that despite "Fury" being one of her possible names, Fawful indeed does not own her.
  • Has no idea why the Vivid Team accuses him of abusing his minions, considering the amount of respect he has for his right-hand man, Midbus. When they pointed out how he enslaved Bowser's Koopa Troop, he merely brushed it off considering that they were never his minions to begin with.
  • The Nostalgia Critic and Linkara are extremely wary of him, due to his eccentricities and choice in eyewear being very reminiscent of their long time foe, Doctor Insano.
  • I have fury!

@Crownless Looking at all the profiles from the Main House, there are three things I see that have a similar theme.

  • Only restricted to Overdeities and Greater Gods
  • They have to be mentioned in like an estimate of 15-30 other profiles, some with massive significance, others not so much.
  • Profiles are already updated or have good qualities from either superb writing or generally excellent profile structure.

Question: Is From Nobody to Nightmare taken?

Also, here is my collab with Hamana with Khadgar. Didn't add much, just a few touches.

Khadgar, God of Age Relevancy in the Plot (Archmage Khadgar, Leader of the Kirin Tor, Archmage of the Kirin Tor, Supreme Commander of the Alliance Expedition, The Apprentice, Young Trust, Lord Wizard, Keeper of the Eternal Watch, Sons of Lothar, The Wondrous Wisdomball, The Shitty Wizard, The Mage)

  • Theme Song: Khadgar’s Theme from Legion
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: The Kirin Tor Banner, arguably Atiesh, the Greatstaff
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: The Meditator and Prophet of the Alliance, Badass Bookworm, from being Medivh’s Apprentice to becoming the Kirin Tor’s Archmage, Harshly honest, Magic Knight, Extremely Powerful, Younger Than He Looks, Distraught after watching the Alliance and the Horde fight each other again.

  • Former Apprentice to: Medivh
  • Allies:
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with: Illidan Stormrage
  • Complicated Relations with: Sylvanas Windrunner, Garrosh Hellscream
  • Enemies:
  • A legendary mage known within the floating city of Dalaran, Khadgar's journey from novice to Archmage was not easy. After being raised in the early days of Azeroth, he would be sent to seek apprenticeship under the Guardian Medivh, teaching him new sorceries and eventually, the basics of Kirin Tor magic. There, he would see visions of a grand war between the Orcs and Humans, create his own spells and witness a battle between a master mage and a titan-sized demon lord. However, all was not well when his master was found possessed by Sargeras and was forced to kill him, with a consequence that his life and magical energy was sucked prior to killing his master. Following the curse, his appearance, from a young apprentice to an old mage, would never change. His magical power however, did not.
  • His ascension was followed by a colorful, purple glyphs which appeared from the sky, giving hints that he did not here for ascension initially. It was later discovered that he was contacted via Jaina Proudmoore who gave him a message of "a new realm with different worlds converged into one place". Following his entrance however, he would reject her assistance for the reason that she brought him was to coordinate in Alliance politics and attempted to leave the place, had it not been for a king that approached him as soon as he was about to leave.
    • The king, revealing to himself to be King Varian Wrynn, would later convince him to join the Pantheon, especially since he pointed to him a certain house in dire need of trainees. Convinced, he joined alongside Varian into the upper ranks of the current ascendants of the Alliance.
  • Being a member of the Alliance, he was overjoyed upon hearing that not only did Varian and Jaina ascend, but so did his fellow Kirin Tor member Kalcegos. Knowing that he now holds the key to the Pantheon's Mana resource, he can finally help him in training new and worthy wizards to other worlds.
    • Despite siding with the Alliance, he has approached the Horde as an ally and not an enemy. Thrall and Vol'jin especially have seen a kind heart in him, considering he helped the Burning Legion following their return. Grommash also came in, with an apology, to which he kindly accepted and showed that Orcs can be good in nature. That cannot be said towards Grom's son, Garrosh, who ended up bringing his horde with an alternate version to create The Iron Horde.
  • Hearing that demon hunters existed within the Pantheon, he thought to himself whether Illidan showed up prior before him, to which the latter replied by appearing right in front of him shouting YOU ARE NOT PREPARED! After the sight, the archmage would only give a large sigh, realizing that on old "friend" (read: frenemy) managed to take a seat before him. Though he is rather grateful that he and Illidan are in good terms, even with the number of times Illidan further doomed Azeroth by attempting to destroy Northrend, creating a demon army in Outland and in the third invasion, brought Azeroth closer to the Netherworld and Argus, because at least he made up for it by saving them from the Legion and for becoming Sargeras' jailor by the end of the third invasion.
Khadgar: "Must you really repeat that same line after the actions you've done?"
Illidan: "What? I like it and it works... sometimes."
  • His ascension would also bring the interest of his old master Medivh, who was proud to hear that his protégé has finally ascended following the recent events on his homeworld. Though he has no idea how to feel towards him, as he knows he killed him, resulting to his curse, all while remembering him via his spells, books, and even apparitions one which was used as a demon in disguise. His reapperance would confuse him further since he now has a teenage, cheerful set where he plays parties within the tower of Karazhan. Though he can say without a doubt is that he is glad Medivh is no longer possessed.
  • If Illidan's presence has any indication, its that Gul'dan is no farther within the sects of the Pantheon. The warlock's comments towards Khagdar are of pity and anger as he sees the archmage's attempts to halt the Legion's advance fruitless, if he wasn't an threat to deal with in the first place. With both Medivh and his apprentice in the same place, he's planning to make his moves quicker before the two could advance.
    • However, if anything is to show that Gul'dan is a pawn to the Legion, Khadgar's fear would come true when it was revealed that Sargeras, the Dark Titan and Commanding Power of the Burning Legion, the one force he has stopped numerous times, ascended within Pantheon grounds before him. This would make him determined to take down the Dark Titan down and is willing to bring both sides of the Alliance and the Horde, alongside his allies and Illidan again, to fight against the biggest threat ever known in Azeroth's history.
  • However, all seems lost following the recent wars instigated by the Banshee, now Warchief of the current Horde Sylvanas. With the Legion's third invasion thwarted, he hoped a better connection between the two forces, but following her bestowed as Warchief, she brought Azeroth back into the fray of the Alliance and Horde War, and seeing that all his efforts all went for nothing, he became distraught and went back to Karazhan, where he might find a solution to clean the planet away from Sargeras' Sword implanted within the surface. With the Banshee Queen's presence, he has no qualms killing her especially after what she has done after the events that have unfolded.

She was initially ignored until she started flashing the guards, all in hopes of joining Stan in his new pantheon antics. Even hardened security officers couldn't help but stare. Stan was mixed on this but happy to see her and made out(partly to make the guards jealous]]
  • Has a mostly amiable relationship with fellow sitcom mother Marge Simpson. Marge is much more prudish compared to her and they do disagree with each other's parenting, but found they were similar enough to get along and both can be too overly motherly at times. Both sometimes want to take up hobbies and tasks to break the mundanity of being housewives, even if they enjoy their dayjob.
  • Sometimes discusses parenting tips and other things with Kitty Forman and Chi-Chi. They disagree with her more loopy moments, but otherwise find themselves liking Francine. Liane found her a comforting presence since she's not one to judge her slutty ways. Francine finds her son Eric Cartman intolerable however, reminding her of the time Steve became a spoiled a-hole when only she raised him, but worse. Stewie Griffin doesn't like her, as she reminds him of Lois for all that's worth.
  • Adopted by a Chinese couple. She gets along with Uncle Chan as he reminds her of her dad, Bah Bah Ling. She also ended up getting along with Amy Wong, a Martian-Chinese woman who was and still is to an extent a party girl who occasionally boasts of her general sluttiness. She seems to like Greg Universe for being a down to earth father.
  • The reason she was adopted? Her parents abandoned her as a baby, just because they a first-class ride on the airplane wouldn't allow babies. And later on after her bio-mother died, her bio-father went crazy and had his family fight to the death. Naturally, she sympathizes with Finn the Human for how much of an ass his bio-father turned out to be, and Heinz Doofenschmirtz for the multiple abuses his parents inflicted on him like leaving him to be raised by ocelots.
  • Grew up with the belief that left-handed people are evil, despite being left-handed. She grew over it. She doesn't like Frollo due to how judgmental he'd be with stuff like that, and that Frollo is quick to slut-shame her past and claim she's inspiring "unwanted lust". Francine also has a serious grudge against George Clooney for stealing her big moment, going so far as to chop off her own hand to try and kill him when it was handcuffed.
  • Like the rest of the Smith family, she wasn't on good terms meeting Santa Claus or Nicholas St North. Ever since the family shot Santa by accident he's been out for their blood. These Santas have no bad blood and aren't the same as the Bad Santa that bothers them, and will help them out with that incarnation, though the family is cautious. Robot Santa Claus and SCP-4666 proved much worse than even the Santa they know.
  • In order to keep her looks, she has to do vigorous work-outs and binging and purging. She relates to Betty Suarez to what it's like dealing with ugliness when she doesn't have her looks. By contrast, Tomie insulted her for "not being naturally beautiful" like the sociopath she is.

~Bazzardreturns, Green Eyes is declared no longer a valid trope, while Badass in Charge and Submissive Badass are indexes for their subtropes, not tropes on their own. That's why I think these three should be removed from every single profile in the Trope Pantheons.

[up] Yeah good luck with that, kiddo. There's a lot of profiles with those tropes attached and clearing them out might take a while.
