Trope Pantheons Discussion

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    open/close all folders

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • Gods can't be followers or high priests for obvious reasons.
  • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
  • No hype profiles, please.
    • So you ask, what exactly is 'hype profile'? It is a profile based on ongoing events that hasn't been around very long, but generates a lot of hype, possibly because of elements such as Wham Episode or Memetic Mutation or Large Ham or overall 'OMGAWESOME!!!' They're all not bad tropes, but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time). You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but don't make the profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
  • DO. NOT. put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, don't do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, do yourself a favor and delete it from that main page. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good & Evil Colors.
  • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
    • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
    • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
    • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
    • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to the Treasures or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Treasures or Dominions.
  • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
  • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
  • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you're only given three chances on such. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
  • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what's currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction.
  • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
  • Don't repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes haven't been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • Please use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, or something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted.
  • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this god has spots in other houses as well.
  • When writing facts/trivia about gods, try not to contradict what has already been written elsewhere.
  • When writing down the name of a Theme Song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name.
  • When adding an image for your God, make sure that it is not too big unless you wish to write more about the god you have chosen.
  • If you feel the need to remove a god for some reason and replace him/her with another, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. If you're lucky (and they're from the same franchise), maybe both of them can share the title "Gods of (Insert Trope Here)".
  • Certain tropes can have more than one God. It is not advisable, but it is not forbidden. Just ensure that this second God will bring in new flavor of the trope. If you have doubts on how to bring the other flavors, consult the Trope Pantheon Discussion forum. Case in point: In the original Greek Mythology (and later Roman Mythology), both Ares/Mars and Athena/Minerva share the title of 'God/Goddess of War', and even then, they differ in flavor: Ares is about brutal warfare, Athena is about war strategies and finesse, while Mars took up some of Athena's elements that he kinda differs out than Ares. If the original myth can do this, why the hell not for the Pantheon?
  • Be creative! If you need some time to work out your potential deity's profile, use the Pending Gods or Pending Gods 2 page to get help. Incomplete and/or low-quality entries are more likely to get deleted or replaced.
  • When writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. See also the Rules section. Especially the 1st bullet point.
  • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name.
  • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it's well advised not to abuse them. Aside from introducing too many niche concepts, there are still chances for new tropes related to your chosen deity's title to be launched through YKTTW...
    • Additionally however, the only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. IE: Their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they're closely associated with In-Universe, or both (example: Gangplank and his oranges).
  • Maximum number of tropes what a god should have is three, but don't try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused.
  • Some series will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps, as well. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it's because they're a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they're connected to another deity in their respective canon.
  • As far as deities from actual mythologies (Greco-Roman, Norse, Japanese, etc.) are concerned, try not to replicate the default myths about their characters and use a fictional counterpart instead. In other words, if you want to use the Greek/Roman god Ares/Mars, you can't add him as the "God of War", but you can use him as part of another trope as long as it's a different version of him. For example:
    • Zeus, while having elements of his persona from Classical Mythology, draws more from his portrayal in the God of War Series.
    • Thor and Loki's Pantheon portrayals are influenced heavily by their appearances in their Marvel Comics series.
    • Amaterasu is a woman in her Japanese mythology portrayal, but her Pantheon counterpart is the dog goddess from Ōkami.
  • Don't depend too much on the hype/meme train, don't just jump onto that train willy-nilly in order to put on some events or entry in the Pantheon. It might not last very long or represent the trope best. This is Trope Pantheons, not Trope Hype Train!
  • Unless the character proposed is specifically from the Abridged version, the character should represent the tropes in their canon selves. If they also happen to possess the trait of the Abridged self, good! But otherwise, get the abridged stuff onto just the flavor texts.
  • To prevent any surprising need to rework profiles due to new development, please restrain from ascending gods from a series before the thing is either released or for longer-running series, there is a good enough of a break from story. This also applies to already existing series if there is a new thing coming out.
  • Please be sure to ask in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you don't waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
    • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else.
  • It is much more recommended to word the title like "God of X" instead of "The God that Xs". This will give off the vibe the God actually ruled over that trope instead of just 'did X', giving more credentials to how it's the best example of the trope.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power.
    • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
    • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
    • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
    • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
    • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
    • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Deity Template
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Potential House:
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity. This doesn't always have to be a representation of power, but it can also represent influence in the Pantheon.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Song that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician, this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D.
  • Gender: For Pokémon deities only. Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
  • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
  • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies.
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes.
  • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that have various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.) other than allies, rivals, or enemies.
  • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Pokémon.
  • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
  • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or find pitiable.
  • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by, regardless of alignment.
  • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.

Faso@It could be base on Samurai Warrior game. I think Chris made it.

If I do changed Ghidorah's Trope, I think I'm going to do a quick reworked.

Hattori Hanzo is a real life historical character. His trope indicates that he is an escort but the trope used is Escort Mission, which is a misuse since it's about escorting an NPC in a level

We should change him

Kazuya, God of Settling On One Of The Multiple Endings (The Hero, The First Hero, First Champion, Sho, Futsuo, Adam)

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His COMP
  • Theme Song: Ruins
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Demon Tamer, Badass Normal, Ambadassador, Destroying All His Opposition To Save The World, Heroes Prefer Swords But Uses Guns Too, Hurting Hero, Terrible Singer, Forced To Kill His Friends, Living Legend, Adapting Really Quickly, Zero Magic Potential, One-Man Army, Killed In An Assassination That Was Then Made To Look Like A Cave-In
  • Domain(s): Demons, Neutral
  • Heralds: Pascal (his pet dog/Cerberus), the Heroinenote
  • Allies: Stephen, Mido (as his former herald), Aleph, Flynn, Naoki Kashima/The Demi-Fiend, Kazuya Minegishi, Hibiki Kuze, Raidou Kuzunoha, Isabeau, Burroughs
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: the Imperium of Man
  • Enemies: YHVH, Lucifer, The White, Chiaki Hayasaka, Isamu Nitta and Hikawa, the Divine Powers, Chakravartin, The Administrators, Mem Aleph, Malthael, Castlevania!Satan
  • Pities: Erik Lensherr/Magneto
  • Conflicting Opinion: Dagda and Nanashi
  • The thing about a game with multiple endings is that if it gets a sequel, one of the endings (or none of them) has to become canon. In the search for a candidate, Stephen immediately nominated the first of his Messiahs, simply known as the Hero, but assigned the name Kazuya for easy calling. And bringing him over was simple since he was already in the Pantheon as Mido's herald (for whatever reason).
  • As a present for his ascension, Stephen upgraded his COMP one last time: he no longer needs to keep collecting Magnetite to sustain demons he summons, though he does still dismiss them when he's not fighting, and collects and keeps some around for bribing demons with. This is on top of being able to summon up to five demons at once (as opposed to the Demi-Fiend's, Flynn's, Isabeau's, and Nanashi's three).
  • Never knew his father, who had left him before he was able to tell what was going on around him. That is why he doesn’t really know what having a father is like and his longing for a father figure is unusually strong. Presumably, this is related to his concern about demons. Since he had very few opportunities to interact with his father, it can be said that this resulted in his interest in the power of demons, in other words, the power associated with a father.
  • Having lost his own to a demon who impersonated her when he got home, Kazuya has a soft spot for those who lost their mothers (unless of course it was of their own conscious doing).
  • Apparently, there was an old story (now dead) called 20XX that talks about what happens after Kazuya sided with Law.
  • While without any means of using magic, Kazuya can get around this by sword fusion, and thanks to the Diamond Realm DLC, he's inhereited a few abilities (though still Physical) such as Lightspeed Slash, Mist Rush, Charge, and Morale Boost, a resistance to physical and gun attacks, and an invulnerability to Light and Dark attacks.
  • Probably due to how he was forced to be omnicidal in his fight for Neutrality, Kazuya isn't as immediately opposing of Dagda. After everything he's been through, removing all divinities and restarting humanity anew has its appeal. That said, now that he's no longer alone in the fight for humanity, he's not ready to have the slate wiped clean right now.
  • Wary of all angelic deities along with Malthael and Castlevania!Satan because they remind him of his efforts to rebuild the world into a Neutral one ruined by Law, and the Mutants and Gaeans who helped him ostracized and kicked down into Makai. There's also the fact that Pascal/Cerberus and Madam, who carried on what was left of his legacy in Valhalla, got killed and destroyed by Abaddon after he was deceived by the Archangels that he would be restored to Angelhood. Thankfully, the weak Mutants who aren't able to defend themselves were taken in and protected by Lucifer in Makai.
    • Speaking of Mutants, he sort of understands why Magneto does what he does for mutantkind. That said, he'd prefer to find a peacful solution.
  • As for the God-Emperor of Mankind and his Imperium, to say he's horrified with what it's become in order to survive the Chaos Gods, Necrons, Orks, and all the rest would be the understatement of the century. As a result, he finds it difficult to work with them.
  • Wants to remind folks not to take the bullet for a "demon tamer" who has time to summon a demon who can take the hit for them. He doesn't want a repeat of the Law Hero's Senseless Sacrifice.
  • Doesn't like Hikawa and the Demi-Fiend's former friends, finding all of their Reasons repulsive. Chiaki in particular he feels is actually worse than the Chaos Hero. While the weak dying out was just a side-effect of his goal, the weak being exterminated is her goal.

Dream of the Endless, Divine Architect Of All Dreams (The First Dream, Morpheus, The Dream-King, Lord Shaper, Oneiros, Dream Weaver, The Sandman, Daniel Hall, Prince of Stories, countless others)

"Daniel"/The Second Dream
  • Domains: Creation, Dream, Law, Illusion, Mentalism, Trickery, Opening
  • Herald: The Second Dream/"Daniel" (his successor), Matthew (his companion), Lucien (his Librarian), Mervyn Pumpkinhead (his Plucky Comic Relief), Nuala (his housekeeper)
  • Followers: Anyone who in any way deals with dreams or calls themselves "the sandman" in reference to Dream. His current aspect's grandfather, Hawkman, is one of these; he's very proud of his grandson and goes through the motions to humor him. Others include Sanderson ManSnoozy, Lukoje, Ro'kenhronteys, and Jim Fullington.
  • Allies: William Shakespeare (as he's was involved in his career), Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, all deities in his House (except those under Enemies), Princess Luna
  • Enemies: Freddy Kreuger, Atropos, Ruvik, Pitch Black, the Anti-Monitor, Zamasu, Nekron, Lord Fuse
  • Special Relationship: All of his siblings (Death, Destiny, Destruction, Desire, Delirium, Despair [non-ascended so far]), The Presence
  • The one to whom, ultimately, even gods belong. It is rumored that, in the same way that a coin is never one-sided, He also holds domain over physical reality as well. Makes sense, since pretty much anything created in the real world must have sprung from an idea, and, well, he's pretty much the personification of ideas. He is also the younger brother of Death and arguably defers to her in situations.
  • It is because of Dream that the Pantheon exists at all; He or some aspect or precursor of Him formed it in the beginning of imagination. Unlike the others in the Main House, Dream very rarely makes a production of getting involved or physically exercising His power. This has lead to many would-be usurpers underestimating Him.
    • However, with the new regulations, Dream had to move to a new house. Additionally, during this move, it's been revealed that Morpheus, the Dream ascended here, had "died" during the events of his story and already has a replacement. For purposes of convenience, that Dream, also known as Daniel (though he would deny that being his name), serves as his herald in the event the "first" Dream Morpheus is needed elsewhere.
    • It is rather confusing, though, as both Dreams have the memories of the other given who they are, so don't be surprised if the First Dream does things that's unlikely for him but not for the Second.
  • Is a very proficient chessmaster; right from the start of the story, Morpheus had sown the seeds of his own destruction by giving away ammunition that could be turned against him at a critical juncture and preparing Daniel to be the vessel for his replacement. By the time the Furies come knocking, every single Chekhov's Gun he's prepared fired off one by one.
  • Very nearly every deity has spoken to Dream within hours of ascension into the ranks of godhood. It is believed that He assigns initial positions to new gods, sometimes through a sort of interview, sometimes just through a chat, though as of late a lot more methods have become available, such as the Court of the Gods, although Dream is always involved at some level.
  • Dream is a powerful being with near-limitless power, but he has three critical weaknesses (as Morpheus, at least): his relationships will never end well, a certain Summoning Ritual can capture him during moments of intense weakness, and he can be killed outright by spoilers. "Daniel" doesn't have the first weakness, though.
  • Despite his Progenitor status, due to matters far beyond mortal comprehension, Dream still owes his position to Gygax and Arneson, as it is they who created the concept of godhood here. Don't think about this too much.
    • It is arguable that Gygax and Arneson created the human concept of godhood, and that Dream predates this.
  • With his new official residence in the sub-House of Dreams, he's become acquainted with its residents. Mainly, he's become enemies with nightmare-related deities such as Freddy Krueger, Atropos and Ruvik (though the last is more of a crafter of Mental Worlds) and allies with the rest, notably Haruto Tsukishiro, NiGHTS, Ysera, SCP-990, and Sandy.
    • Dream accepts Darkrai as who he is thus earning his friendship as well as his partner Princess Luna, although she have some trust issues with Dream.
    • He sympathizes with Soldier #25954, Douglas Quaid and the Wind Fish for their unfortunate situations, in which luckily they do not blame Dream for their problems.
    • He has conflicting opinions on Miyuki-chan and Madotsuki.
      • He thinks Miyuki should accept her dreams as representations of her innermost desires and is disappointed that she is actively denying them. He's interested in the fact that the Investigation Team has a low-priority mission in nudging her to get help on this, though they don't do interventions against a person's will, but they think that it's only a matter of time given how she teleports around.
      • As for Madotsuki, she refuses to wake up from her dreams, ones which even puts Dream off due to their horrifying nature.
    • Haruto once asked Dream his relationship with Eve, perhaps on the suspicion that Dream is the god she wanted to take revenge on. Dream so far is keeping quiet.
  • Eneru once tried to usurp Dream of his position becuase he was peeved that he was not a top God in the Pantheon, which ended as well as you'd expect from an Intermediate God. That said, he's since began to bide his time by rounding up other deities to help him.
  • Despite being friendly with his brother Destruction, destroyers are not his best friends. And there are a lot who wish to end Dream forever.
    • The Anti-Monitor thinks killing him is one step to killing the entire Pantheon, and Zamasu also agrees with him for once, thinking that without Dream, humans will cease to lose dreams and sleep, thus dying for his purposes. Nekron wants destruction to all, and thinks killing Dream is a first step. This earned Dream's ire greatly.
    • Lord Fuse also fears Dream as much as he fears Gygax and Arneson, as ideas are born from imagination, which is Fuse's weakness.

Ok, so this is important. I've begun working on a new profile (which you can see here), so can you check if any of these tropes are available please?

EDIT: Thanks nightelf. Ship Tease has been chosen for Rion Kugayama.

EDIT 2: Ship Tease is dropped. That trope is better reserved for two characters mutually dealing with each other.

  • Domains: Emotions, Princesses, Magic
  • Allies: Xander
  • Enemies: Majority of the cast of Fire Emblem
  • Jealous of: Asuka
  • Veronica is the princess of Emblian Empire, one of kingdoms in Zenith what connects many world together. While the kingdom was in peace under her stepmother's rule, she decided one day to try to follow her father's legacy and to wage war in other worlds and take them over. However, her motives are harder to pin down...
  • Those who are defeated by her and her army can be bound by a "contract", which will force them to do whatever Veronica commands them to do. While it might seem like brainwashing, the subjects have otherwise free will to act on, just that if she tells them to do something, they have to do it even against their own will. The only way to break out of it is for someone else to beat them.
  • However, her harsh behaviour forwards others seems to hide that of a lonely girl. A girl who is jealous of others who are more fortunate than her. A girl who is all alone in the world with hardly no one to call a friend or family. A girl who might not want to fight but is compelled by a voice in her head to "Kill Askr". A voice most likely belonging to a wicked god which her bloodline descended from.
  • Even though her actions seem tyrannical, she is adored by her people. Which helps her to bolster her wide army composed of anything between warriors, knights, cavaliers, mages, healers, thieves, archers, pegasus knights and recently with wyvern knights and manaketes. And just to show how powerful her can be, she has been consistently conquering Fire Emblem worlds and taking down even main lords, no matter how strong they are (though sometimes she might have other methods).
  • Is jealous of Asuka. The idea that she can just make friends with people if she can fight them while she has to outright force people to be on her side annoys her to no end. She wants to personally kill her to let out her anger.
  • While Xander wouldn't say he approves of her actions, he does stand by her side, saying that she understands her in some ways and hopes that she can obtain true happiness.
  • Has a personal tome called Élivágar, which casts some kind of green magic thing what can inflict the Panic status, which reverts stats boosts into penalties.
  • Wants to make it clear that outside of "killing Askr", she wants to conquer, not destroy. A ruler's duty is to the people, something which she had to think about for a while. As such, she would preferably not work for those who would just want to destroy if all possible.
  • Is honestly confused how popular she seems in the outer realms. As in one of most popular FE females. She can't quite grasp what she has done to gain so much positive attention.

[up] Did you bring this profile up in the thread before starting it?

Please remember to save your icons as pngs before uploading them, otherwise they become jpegged as heck and look terrible

[up] Oh, I guess not. Whoops.

Anyway, I chose Ship Tease for Rion because she's always Ship Teased with the main character Kou constantly, as well as some other characters.

@TPPR: Please, please, please repost your profile on Setsuna. There are quite a few things I'd like to say about her. If I can't adopt it from you or anything.

…May I adopt her profile?

Also, regarding Veronica, I think the events of Book 2 reveal some very important things regarding her situation like her will probably not quite being her own, and I'm sure Xander's siblings would probably have their own opinions of his friendship with her.

I've been busy this past week, so I haven't updated the GUAG stuff... then again only one change has a [tup] this far... Refresher post for those that want a look; the intra-department stuff can be done today and the zaps... can probably be done if there are no objections forthcoming, (being in the Pantheon is a prerequisite to being in any Alliance,) but the defections would probably need to be formally approved.

Ar-Pharazon struck me more as Neutral Evil at the end. Also, it was Eru that changed the world; Manwe just gave his boss permission.

I would like to see that Ben Franklin draft as well. I mean, that kite & key is iconic.

re: Charizard's potential partners: I would think that Delphox would be a better Poke-Partner for for Ms. Hino since she's also a Temple Priestess.

Speaking of the Fennekin line... I could have sworn that Satellite Love Interest was taken before now!

Hearing that a someone has been nominated, I actually have a nominee of my own. Granted, this is almost 2 years late, but that actually allows her portfolio to be evaluated:

Anime!Serena, daughter of Grace

Not only is her primary character trait her crush on Ash, but her Contest-like plotline effectively amounted to nothing more than a prelude to breaking Ash out of his Heroic BSoD in Snowbelle. Yes, Ash lost the Finals; but if Serena didn't go through her Performance Arc, giving her the perspective needed to turn Ash's earlier encouragement of her back at him, he might not have even made it to the Tournament!

[up][tup] for Anime!Serena. Who will you have help ascend her in the flavor text? Will Game!Serena have a hand in this?

If Ship Tease is going to be use, shouldn't it be about two people since it's a mutual dealing?

Belated reply time.

@Nightelf: Melkor would hate Dream as much as he hates Eru and vowed to kill Dream after he's done with Eru. Lord English is also after Dream, having the same reasons as the Anti-Monitor and Zamasu. Add this in and with a [tup], Dream will be ready to go.

For Neal, he should be allies with Giorno Giovanna for also having natural charisma, a compulsion to pickpocketing and good intentions as well as Kasumi Goto for the latter two reasons, Sly Cooper for being a fellow Gentleman Thief, Omar Little for also stealing from bad guys who deserve to have karma dropped on them (as well as Neal pitying Omar's deceased status) and commending Raphael/Phantom R for giving back museums their real art, who pities Neal's relationship with his father. Neal also should be rivals with Faye Valentine by competing in the confidence arts field, Keiichi Maebara for his charming skills and Celestia Ludenberg for her lying and acting skills; she would also be jealous of Neal being better than her at them, though that makes it more thrilling.

For the Sinner, they should be allies with Carl 'CJ' Johnson for also being customizable persons, Inaho Kaizuka for also having Nerves of Steel and the Hat Kid for also getting cosmetic rewards upon achieving their missions. Enemies with Bondrewd for abusing Human Resources and experimenting on children, unlike how the Sinners rescue Citizens who then help make items for them.

@RJ: Go ahead on moving Noriko Ashida.

@TPPR: As far as I know, I don't recall someone taking that trope yet.

@Divine Flame: You can't suggest more than three tropes per character; if you try to suggest another one for Rion, that'll be your eighth.

Jul 22nd 2018 at 9:40:50 AM

So uhh... I've decided I'll be dropping Rion entirely because all of the good tropes that are best suited for her are already taken. Contractual Purity is not good since it's a Trivia trope, and not something that Rion is best known for.

Oh well, I've already gotten some Tokyo Xanadu representation, so I'm good. Although once I'm finished with the Mafia of Cooks, I think I'll be done with trope pantheons in-general simply because there is too much competition to claim tropes for specific characters.

[up] I'd recommend you read my earlier post more carefully before making that assumption, because I never intended to choose more than three tropes for a character. I was only checking to see if one of the tropes I've listed was available.

Jul 22nd 2018 at 10:13:37 AM

[up]Don't be disingenuous. Showing a list of tropes and asking people if they're taken or which is best is no different from suggesting tropes.

Jul 22nd 2018 at 10:27:18 AM

[up]Uhh... Ok then. So now you're straight up accusing me of picking eight tropes for one character? Wow... First off, I'm not that stupid. I know the pantheon rules. If I didn't, Asuka and Mitsuki wouldn't have ascended period. I'll say this again. I was only asking to see if one (key word: one) of the tropes I've listed was available to use. Nightelf gave me the answer, and so out of the tropes I've listed, I've chose Ship Tease. That was all. Do not make assumptions like this.

Jul 22nd 2018 at 10:35:00 AM

[up]When did I accuse you of trying to give eight tropes to one character? I'm talking about suggestions. The rule about suggestions is clear here: You can't suggest more than three tropes per character, because after that limit it'll start to sound like shoehorning the character for the sake of them being here.

Jul 22nd 2018 at 10:39:21 AM

@ Muundeis: If we're holding a vote, then [tup] for Anime Serena. Not only does she enjoy a more postive reputation among Pokémon fans, shippers aside; but she could be considered a reconstruction of the trope. While her story starts with her search for Ash and her development of romantic feelings towards him, Serena eventually develops her own characteristics and ideals beyond her feelings for Ash, even if she ultimately wants to get closer to him.

@ Nightelf: [tup] for Kazuya and Dream. Also, Harry Potter should still be Charizard's partner. He has ridden on Buckbeack/Witherwings and a thestral for transport, so Charizard could serve as his mount. Charizard's fire could be useful in countering Voldemort's fiendfyre.
